Causes for Variety of Teaching strategies
• All students cannot Benefit from one strategy
• Some methods are more applicable
• Single method is not superior

Teaching Method
Teaching Method is a style of the presentation of content in classroom. It has
presented broad meaning of the term ‘method’. According to this matter is important
for determining method. The common teaching matter may be of three types hence all

Teaching Tactics
 The teaching tactics are the ways of implementing a teaching strategy. Different types
of tactics are used in the same teaching strategy. The tactics are more concerned with
creating appropriate learning structures.
 E. Stones and S. Morris have defined the term teaching tactics in the following way:
“Teaching tactics is good linked influenced/ influencing behavior of the teacher, the
way he behaves in the instructional situation in working towards the development of
the strategy: units of teacher behavior through which the teacher fulfils his various

Teaching Techniques
 Teaching techniques prepare of generate a chain of teaching learning process. Teaching method is
an abstract concept while techniques of teaching are helpful in using a certain method of
teaching.
 A method of teaching determines the style or way or presentation of content which techniques
assist in doing so. A teaching method reveals that how a content is presented in classroom. While
techniques indicate with what activities of teaching.
 Techniques are psychological as well as logical in nature. Sometimes nature of content is most
important in employing a particular technique. Scientific concepts are presented by techniques
which employes several maxims of teaching

 Zais suggested aims, goals and objective; foundation commitments; content;
and students’ experience as appropriate criteria.
 Brady argues for the selection criteria to include variety, scope, validity
appropriateness and relevance as means by which to judge learning activities.
