This document discusses soil conservation measures for non-agricultural lands. It defines non-agricultural lands as areas unsuitable for cultivation due to limitations like steep slopes or erosion. About 17% of India's total land area is considered wasteland. Soil conservation is important to prevent environmental hazards from erosion. Measures discussed include reforestation, mulching, strip planting, and terracing to stabilize soil and increase water absorption. Temporary, semi-permanent and permanent structures can be used to control erosion, ranging from brushwood poles to concrete dams.

Soil erosion is the washing or blowing away (by wind or water) of the top layer of soil (dirt).Erosion also leaves large holes in the earth, which can weaken buildings and even cause them to collapse.
Soil conservation practices can reduce soil erosion caused by flooding, wind and other agents. As well soil conservation practices restore fertility, fauna and flora and reduce contamination caused by chemicals...

8th Std Social Science - Geography- Chapter 2. Land,Soil, Water, Natural Vegetation and Wildlife Resources.
Land is among the most important natural resources.
It covers only about thirty per cent of the total area of the earth’s surface and all parts of this small percentage are not habitable.
The uneven distribution of population in different parts of the world is mainly due to varied characteristics of land and climate.
The rugged topography, steep slopes of the mountains, low-lying areas susceptible to water logging, desert areas, thick forested areas are normally sparsely populated or uninhabited. Plains and river valleys offer suitable land for agriculture. Hence, these are the densely populated areas of the world.
This is a PowerPoint Presentation based on Chapter-2, NCERT Geography book (Resources and Development) of Class 8. It consists of descriptions, importance and many characteristics related to land, landslides, soil, weathering, methods of soil conservation, water, natural vegetation, wildlife, ecosystem and much more.
Water scarcity is the lack of fresh water resources to meet the standard water demand. There are two type of water scarcity. One is physical. The other is economic water scarcity.

Hybrid optimization of pumped hydro system and solar- Engr. Abdul-Azeez.pdffxintegritypublishin
Advancements in technology unveil a myriad of electrical and electronic breakthroughs geared towards efficiently harnessing limited resources to meet human energy demands. The optimization of hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems plays a pivotal role in utilizing natural resources effectively. This initiative not only benefits humanity but also fosters environmental sustainability. The study investigated the design optimization of these hybrid systems, focusing on understanding solar radiation patterns, identifying geographical influences on solar radiation, formulating a mathematical model for system optimization, and determining the optimal configuration of PV panels and pumped hydro storage. Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for advancing energy research in economically viable areas. Recommendations included conducting site-specific assessments, utilizing advanced modeling tools, implementing regular maintenance protocols, and enhancing communication among system components.

Final project report on grocery store management system..pdfKamal Acharya
In today’s fast-changing business environment, it’s extremely important to be able to respond to client needs in the most effective and timely manner. If your customers wish to see your business online and have instant access to your products or services.
Online Grocery Store is an e-commerce website, which retails various grocery products. This project allows viewing various products available enables registered users to purchase desired products instantly using Paytm, UPI payment processor (Instant Pay) and also can place order by using Cash on Delivery (Pay Later) option. This project provides an easy access to Administrators and Managers to view orders placed using Pay Later and Instant Pay options.
In order to develop an e-commerce website, a number of Technologies must be studied and understood. These include multi-tiered architecture, server and client-side scripting techniques, implementation technologies, programming language (such as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and MySQL relational databases. This is a project with the objective to develop a basic website where a consumer is provided with a shopping cart website and also to know about the technologies used to develop such a website.
This document will discuss each of the underlying technologies to create and implement an e- commerce website.

Soil Conservation Control Measures in Non-Agricultural lands
1. Soil Conservation Control Measures in
Non-Agricultural lands
PRESENTED BY
Vishwanath Awati
(USN: 2VX15CWM23)
2. Soil conservation is the prevention of soil loss from erosion or reduced
fertility caused by over usage, acidification, salinization or other chemical soil
contamination.
Soil is important because soil is crucial for many aspects of human life as it
provides food, filters air and water and helps to decompose biological waste
into nutrients for new plant life.
Soil
3. Lands which are in present condition are unsuitable for
cultivation or for any kind of use. Also called as waste lands.
This is because they have one or more limitation of slope,
erosion, stoniness, shallow soils, wetness, flooding climate
etc
Non-Agricultural lands?
5. And further, a total area of about 56.6 m ha,about 17% of total area is
considered as wastelands(SOI).
Out of total area of 74.85 m ha of forest
land, it is estimated that about 26% area is
subjected to soil erosion(SOI).
Indian having total land of 336 m-ha
land out of 74.85m-ha covered by
forest land and 23m ha are covered by
non agricultural land
6. Classification of Wastelands
• Culturable Wastelands
These are cultivable wastelands which are not being
utilised to their full potential or are being mismanaged due to various
reasons such as State or private occupation or having being declared
as notified forest area.
Occupation Mismanaged
7. Unculturable Wastelands
These are the wastelands which
are not available for cultivation.
These include barren rocky
lands, steep sloping areas and
areas covered by snow or
glaciers.
8. What waste lands can do..?
Waste lands are the sources of
maximum sediment and runoff and
cause environmental hazards like
formation of gullies, droughts,
floods, siltation of reservoirs and
canals, landslides etc.
9. To prevent degradation of such lands through concentration of flow,
vegetative and Mechanical measures are used together and are
complementary to each other. Mechanical measures act as foundation
of the building while the vegetative act as the super structure.
What can do..?
13. Reforestation
Growing the forest again over the
lands where they were existing and was
destroyed due to fires, overgrazing, and
excessive cutting.
Reforestation checks water logging,
floods, soil erosion and increase
productivity of land
14. MULCHING
Here protective cover of organic
matter and plants like stalks, cotton stalks,
tobacco stalks etc. are used which reduce
evaporation, help in retaining soil
moisture and reduce soil erosion
15. Strip planting
Different kinds of crops are
planted in alternate strip along the
contour.
•It checks the flow of runoff
water, increases the
infiltration of water in the soil
and prevents soil erosion
16. TERRACING.
In this arrangement, the earth is
shaped in the form of levelled terraces to
hold soil and water. The terrace edges are
planted with such plant species which
anchor the soil
