The Five Social Classes In The United States
America has five social classes. The Upper Class is made up of wealth, and in most
cases is inherited wealth that has been passed down from generation to generation.
Individuals have little control over this class as many are born into the circumstance.
The Upper Class participate in politics and economic environments. Not all Upper Class
is old money, there are also those individuals that have made money as entrepreneurs. The
next social classis the Upper Middle Class. These individuals are at the top of
management level in organizations, educated and have families. Many Upper Middle
class are two income families. (Tischler, pg 182) Education plays a key role in the
success of the Upper Middle class so there is a level of control an individual
Cows Vs Bulls
These are used in dairy production because of their high volume of milk which they
produce with the high levels of fat and protein which is found in their milk; they are
larger than Friesians but do not carry as much meat and can be either black and white
or red and white although they are mainly seen in black and white. They can be found
worldwide in nearly every continent, they are also renowned for their easy going
temperament and ease of handling, they are used for milk production for on average six
years, even though many cows will live for longer.
During a single lactation period a cow can produce approximately 7591.45 litres of milk
during each lactation and this lasts for about 10 months; working out to on average
24.89 litres per day. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Beef
Charolais
They are white in colour, and were first bred in France; being first imported into Britain
in the 1950s to improve dairy calves but because of their fast growing rate, good muscle
formation, quality tasting meat and being good suckler beef cattle they became big in the
beef industry. They have little fat in their meat and because of their original use of
pulling heavy carts and ploughs they, especially the bulls, have big hindquarters and back
muscles which in turn helps them to be superior above the other breeds.
When crossed with a dairy cow a Charolais cross calf has the distinguishable colour of a
Charolais as well as the good growth rate and muscle mass this makes for a heavier calf
that is finished and ready for selling at an earlier age than all other breeds, which in turn
brings in a bigger price at auction.

The Drug Of Illicit Drugs
During the financial crisis in Mexico in 1995, it was estimated that the country s
earning from oil exports was equivalent to the same amount of money involved in the
laundering of drugs and that major drug cartels in Mexico continually rake in profits in
the region of ten to thirty billion dollars annually (UNESCOPRESS 2002). This goes to
highlight the huge underworld of dealings in illicit drugs, not just in Mexico but
globally. Following the UN Conventions of 1961, 1971 and 1988 states internationally,
in particular the US, have waged an arguably failing war on drugs with one of the
underlying motives being the reduction of drugrelated crime. Such crimes range from
addicts trying to feed their expensive habit through thefts, burglary... Show more content

The drugs in question are the 250 or so drugs deemed illegal by the UN conventions. Yet
a focus on the licit nature of one of the most powerful drugs, alcohol, will be important in
understanding the effects drugs have on crime and the lessons that can be learnt from
alcohol prohibition in the past.
One of the main perpetrators of drug related crimes are drug addicts who seek to fund
their expensive habits by committing crimes. First of all, it is important to note that
despite the common perception of the drug abuser being a lifeless junkie with no real
ambitions research has shown that most users of illicit drugs are independent
individuals who are able to lead ordinary lives (Bennetto and Todd 1997). The minority
of illicit drug users who do suffer from addiction and consequently engage in crime to
fund their costly addictions have predominantly been found not to be acting out of
violent impulses, but more out of motivation for money to purchase drugs. Research has
shown that most crimes instigated by addicts have been of a peaceful nature and suggest
a greater use of wit than force (Goldstein 1985: 5). What s more, the characteristics
attributed to drug abusers, such as paranoia, introversion and psychotic tendencies have
been deemed to be under specific character traits that can be equally attributed to any
criminal, even those who do not take drugs. Comparisons of drug addicted prisoners to
non addicted prisoners has shown that
Mental Illness In Gran Torino
Our experiences shape who we are. Gran Torino by Clint Eastwood is a moving film
that depicts topics such as racism, mental illness and sacrifice in a modern setting
without sugarcoating. In the film, korean war veteran and curmudgeon Walt Kowalski
becomes an unexpected hero and father figure to nextdoor neighbour Thao Lor. Gran
Torino begins in a funeral home, where protagonist Walt is mourning the death of his
spouse, grimacing at the reality of being widowed and the disrespect of his children
and their families. After the death of his wife, Mr. Kowalski does little other than drink
his weight in beer daily and make critical comments towards his neighbours and
surrounding community. Besides the company of his yellow labrador Daisy, Walt is
alone with his thoughts. Because Walt acquired racism through experience where the
race he discriminates was an enemy in reality, it is not truly one of his traits and can be
undone as he is human and is able to overcome his mental illness, which is the reasoning
for his intolerance. Initially, Walt is racist because he has been trained not to trust
koreans and will not be bothered to distinguish the difference between who he had fought
and his neighbours. He struggles to realize that he is no longer at war and mentally is
unable to move on from that state of mind. In a scene following Walt s first threat
towards the gang, it is evidently identified that he is still living in the past through an
interaction between him and Father
Life Saving Strategies for Food Allergies
Living with food allergies is a full time job as it is. Between reading ingredients,
calling food companies, worrying about the cross contamination of what others are
eating near you, to the what ifs, it can be rather over whelming at times. Should it not
be easier, since food allergies are readily growing? It should be mandatory for school
workers, all teachers, nurses, and caregivers to notice signs of anaphylaxisand when to
give ephedrine. One of the easiest ways to make this possible would be to teach these
life skills just as one would learn CPR. In order to make sure this is a widespread
knowledge, it would be needed to have a daycare. It is very important for a caregiver
to know what to look for and what anaphylaxis looks like. Anaphylaxis is not always
noticeable, or just the throat closing up. Even though this topic has been written about
many times over, I hope to give readers another perspective, and hopefully change
some protocols, from a mother who has food allergies and is taking care of her
children with food allergies. SAVING KIDS FROM FOOD ALLERGIES and A Tiny

I just got finished packing, tomorrow my sister, Aaron, and I are moving to Seoul to
live with our brothers and their band members. My sister and I are twins along with
our brothers. Our brothers are part of the famous K Pop boy group called BOYFRIEND.
I can t wait to meet the others, especially Minwoo because he s my bias.
I m so nervous. I said to myself.

We just got off the plane and were walking to meet up with BOYFRIEND s manager.
When we walked out of the airport, we were surprised at who we saw. Instead of the
manager we saw our brothers. We ran to them, giving them a huge hug, leaving our
suitcases behind and in the way of everyone.
We ve missed you two so much! our brothers said as they gave us a huge bear hug.
We ve missed you too! we breathed as the hug was too tight.
They let go, realizing they were squeezing too hard and apologizing. They told us we
had to get going as they grabbed our suitcases. We haven t been in Seoul for about 4
years, due to our mother s job, and we forgot how beautiful is was.
When we arrived at the dorm the rest of the members were waiting outside for us. When
I looked at Minwoo he looked at me and I started fangirling and hid behind Kwangmin

Finding out a Bit about Sweden
Sweden
Since I am interested in Sweden, I decided to find out a little about. One of the first thing
I would find out is some basic information about the country. Another thing I would like
to find out is what has happen in Sweden s history. Furthermore, it would also be
interesting to learn about the country s current leader. Information about the capital city
is another thing that I want to discover about Sweden. In addition, I would like to find
out about popular attractions that are located in Sweden. Finally, I want to learn
about a famous person who was born in Sweden. Those are some of the thing I hope to
learn from doing this project. The first thing I wanted to find out was some basic
information about Sweden found out that armed neutrality has kept Sweden out of a
war nearly for two centuries. Low unemployment a low birthrate and one of the world
s highest life expectancies has changed today s Sweden. So there for Sweden would be
a very good place to live, there are not many people running around. There are jobs
there for people. Sweden success has been good with capitalism like cooperation
between the government and labor unions that are 90% of the workers. In the late 1980s,
there were flood immigrants from Asia, Africa and Latin American. The second thing I
wanted to learn was what has happened in Sweden s history I discovered that the earliest
historical mention of Sweden is found in Tacitus. In the 11th century Olaf Skottkonung
had became the first king to

Beneath the Ashes
Whenever someone hears the name, Pompeii, one event comes to mind: the eruption that
demolished it. Most people simply know this society only for the incident that buried it
for centuries. They do not fully understand the importance of the culture underneath the
ashes. The catastrophic events that took their toll on the ancient city of Pompeii, though
tragic and unforgiving, serve as fundamental historical insight into the Pompeian culture
and the calamity that demolished this central portion of the Roman Empire.
Mt. Vesuvius, a dormant stratovolcano, had not erupted for over 71, 500 years. The
city of Pompeii was isolated from all that was outside of its borders. The only other
natural disaster recorded in the area was on February 5, 62 AD, when a major
earthquake occurred in the epicenter of Pompeii (Modigliani). This severely damaged the
town, causing buildings, temples, and houses to collapse. The society was ignorant to
natural disasters, so many were unsure how to react. Because of this, a significant portion
of the population evacuated the city after the severe quakes. The towering ... Show more

This is not true, for Vesuvius is one of the smallest active volcanoes in the world (Barnes,
42). In fact, the eruption in 79 was not even Mount Vesuviuss most colossal eruption.
Vesuvius was an active volcanoboth before and after it demolished Pompeii. There
have been over 70 eruptions in the last 17,000 years, notably altering the recovery of the
historical site (Brilliant, 31). Eight of these major eruptions are alleged as even more
severe than the one that demolished the Pompeii. The reason that the 79 AD eruption is
acknowledged so highly is the fact that it created a natural time capsule of the Roman
Empire, allowing archaeologists a glimpse into the
God s Divine Omniscience
Boethius way of understanding Gods divine omniscience came from his dilemma of
whether or not it denied him of free will. He knew that God s divine omniscience was
necessary for it is within Gods very definition that it must exist. However, if it is true
that God knows everything that has, and ever will happen then where does that leave
room for free will? To answer this Boethius describes: first, what Gods knowledge is
and how it doesn t imply necessity, second, how it is ok that we don t fully understand
God, and third, the nature of eternity and what it means to his omniscience.
Gods knowledge is not predictive but is intelligible; what is known is known with
absolute certainty. Predictions involve the weighing of what is likely and what ... Show

Sense perception is the lowest sense that to which almost all animals have. Sense
perception is only the awareness of bodily senses. Imagination is higher in that it does
not depend on physical objects. Reason is even higher because it allows you to
understand universal law through inference and analogy. The highest sense is pure
intelligence, that of which only God has. Pure intelligence understands the workings of
the universe without the use of inference or analogy, it can grasp meaning through simple
thought. God is the only one with pure intelligence. Senses higher up on the list can
understand everything below them but those below can never understand those above.
So Boethius derives from this that we can try to understand Gods omniscience the best
we can, but we will never understand it like he does. So the nature of Gods omniscience
can only be truly understood by the sense of true intelligence that let it exist.
Gods eternity, Boethius describes, gives key to the nature of his omniscience. Gods
knowledge transcends change. He does not experience past present and future as
humans do but instead experiences all of time, all at once in one single grasp. God
exists outside of time. He is current witness to everything that has and ever will happen.
If God is witness to all time then it is not necessary that he be the cause of our actions,
but because the bi product of our actions our currently being witnessed there occurrence

The Amish Religion
The Amish was a group of traditional Christian Church fellowships. They were known as
the simple living, plain drees and unwilling to embrace the convenience of the modern
technology. They started a small group of reform minded Mennonites in the Switzerland
when they separated from the main movement. Based on the article, The Amishwas lived
in Rhine River. Jacob founded the Amish Movement in the year 1644. Jacob felt that the
Mennonites had driven away their original beliefs and practices. That the Mennonites
does not have any disciplines. He wanted them to return to a stricter observance of the
writings of Simons and on the 1632 Mennonite Dordrecht Confession. The started to do

Death in Thanatopsis by William Cullen Bryant Essay
Death in Thanatopsis by William Cullen Bryant When people ponder death they wonder
about the unknown with trepidation. As a young man, William Cullen Bryant wrote the
Thanatopsis. His thoughts progress from the fear of death to the acceptance of the
event. People should not fear death because everyone dies and becomes a part of nature.
A person should live life without fearing death and think of death as a pleasant rest. In
the poem Bryant says, When thoughts/Of the last bitter hour come like a blight/Over thy
spirit, (8 15). This quote implies when a person fears death he should listen to nature. He
also states, So live, that when the thy summons come to join/The innumerable caravans,

An excerpt from the poem says, Yet not to thy eternal resting place/Shalt thou retire
alone, #8230;Thou shalt lie down/With patriarchs of the infant world with kings,
#8230; (31 37). This quote explains that when people die they are not alone; they lie
down to rest with the people of the past. Later in the poem Bryant states, All that
breathe/Will share thy destiny. The gay will laugh/When thou art gone, the solemn
brood of care/Plod on, and each one as before will chase/His favorite phantom; (60 64).
He explains that all living things die and that life will continue after they die. In a
following selection of the poem he says, Yet these shall leave #8230;And make their
bed with thee #8230;. matron and maid, /The speechless babe, and the gray headed
man /Shall one by one be gathered to thy side, /By those, who in their turn shall follow
them. (64 72). He states that one by one everyone will die. Eventually, everyone dies,
and they live on through Nature in another form. Although a person loses individuality at
death, he becomes a part of nature. Bryant says in this line, Earth, that nourished thee,
shall claim/Thy growth, to be resolved to earth again, (22 23). The poet explains that
people will return to the Earth that provided them with nourishment when they die.
Bryant writes, To mix for ever with the elements, /To be brother to the insensible rock
/And to the sluggish clod, #8230; (26 28). He asserts here that once they are dead they

Suppliers Power:
In Hong Kong market, there are so many food suppliers and food distributors which
often supply raw food materials to catering, for example, local fresh fish markets. Their
principal activities are supplying food to ultimate consumers. Moreover, most of the raw
materials are imported, according to the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department,
over 90% of food is imported from other countries. Unless the main ingredient of the
product is not available, the bargaining power of suppliers of fast food industry would be
therefore relatively small. The industry has very strong negotiation position for the raw

Social Challenges In Social Work
The resilience and determination of people through adverse conditions has been a
driving force in the reasons I choose this profession, and why I continue to choose it
every day. In particular, family challenges have been an interest of mine, and I have
always been captivated in understanding the social layers which affect their lives.
My family has undergone adverse circumstances, which has resulted in
intergenerational trauma. My sister had three children who were removed from her
care and placed for closed adoption, as a result of her ongoing mental health
challenges. When my first nephew was born, I re experienced significant traumatic
childhood events; he was placed into protective care. I was not aware of the
apprehension plan. As someone who was invested in this child s life, I stepped up to
be a significant family member. At the time I was the only family member able to have
visitation with him, thus stepping into a maternal role. His birth and eventual adoption
was a turning point in my life. It forced me into a position where I had to become
completely estranged from my biological family. At that moment, I decided I needed to
be a part of changing the social injustices I experienced and witnessed through obtaining
a bachelor of social work.
I grew up in a home environment that did not value education, and in which I entered
various social systems, one being children protection. I have witnessed and experienced
oppression and the effects of becoming an
Mesopotamia, Egypt, And The Indus River Valley
Mesopotamia, Egypt, and the Indus River Valley were all civilizations situated near
rivers. In Mesopotamia, the Tigris and Euphrates rivers rose annually but were prone to
flooding. In Egypt, on the other hand, the Nile River had predictable flooding and was
and still is the longest river in the world. It was also easy to traverse due to southern wind
patterns and northern currents. In the Indus Valley, people lived near the Indus River,
hence the name. Also, they were isolated, surrounded by the Himalayas, just as Egypt
was isolated, surrounded by deserts, mountains, seas, and cataracts. On the other hand,
Mesopotamiawas more open and vulnerable to invasion. In all three cradles, agriculture
began independently. As a result of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Egypt, the pharaoh served as God and king. The Sun God was the main God,
leading to discussion today over whether Egyptians technically practiced monotheism
before the Hebrews. However, King Tut later reverted back to polytheism. They had a
main focus on the afterlife, which explains why they mummified their dead. The
people of the Indus Valley were polytheistic and worshipped some female deities.
Divisions in the land took place in each of these three early civilizations. Mesopotamia
was a loose confederation of walled off city states each ruled by a king. Rivalry over
land and water amongst these city states often led to violent conflict. In fact, under the
rule of the Assyrians, these walls were 5 to 7 stories high and a hundred feet thick in
some places. Egypt was not as divided as Mesopotamia and was ruled by a pharaoh
who served as God and king. The Indus Valley people were the first to use zoning, or
when certain areas are designated as residential, commercial, and for manufacturing.
Unlike in the Fertile Crescent, there was little indication of political hierarchy or
centralized states. The Ziggurat, the largest structure in many of the Mesopotamian city
states, served as a temple or pyramid, while many of the around 70 cities of the Indus
Valley had citadels, or two story buildings with a bath on top that represented a
centralized authority. In contrast, the pyramids of Egypt showed job

Confessions Of A Bad Teacher Summary
Having read Confessions of a Bad Teacher by John Owens, I was amazed at the overall
condition of the inner city school Latinate that he taught in many different ways. I
never observed or went to an inner city school, and I always heard stories from my
mom about how teaching in the city is one of the most difficult jobs a person could
have. After reading this book, I now believe this statement even more. Mr. Owens had to
manage all of the nuances that make up a traditional classroom ranging from having good
lesson structure, having a good classroom environment and management, and having
good instructional strategies. In addition to fulfilling these big challenges, Mr. Owens
also has to deal with numerous cultural differences in the classroom, many additional
instructional demands as imposed by the principal Ms. P, and lack of family and
community support from families and members of Latinate. While Latinate is located in
the heart of the Bronx in New York City, it is a schoolthat promises a college preparatory
program while using the latest technological equipment to promote learning both inside
and outside of the classroom. Over time, Mr. Owens learned that this... Show more

Owens s mind when he tried to structure his lessons around the content that was in the
PowerPoints that the lead English teacher gave him near the start of the year. When he
tried to teach his students this content, he got literally nowhere with them because of the
mismatch in cultural identity in the instructional demands. Requiring that all students
pass these English classes without requiring them to show proficiency or even submit
any work is absolutely insane. It is also insane to try to teach kids something that they
cannot relate to. When Mr. Owens changed the curriculum to topics that revolved around
certain issues that his group of students could relate to, every single student turned in a
paper and they actually put forth effort to want to do
Reducing Public Services
Yet another set of cuts is now foreseen to our beleaguered local service, just days after
announcements were made regarding consultations on reducing children s services,
school buses and, well, just about anything you can think of which serves the public
basically.
This time the council is proposing reviewing the timetables of a number of bus services in
and around Witney, but also other rural areas of the County. I can t comment on services
in other neighbourhoods, but our 18 and 19 routes are for many people a lifeline. For the
elderly, unemployed, disabled and youths buses are the one and only form of transport
available to them to get them into the main business centres of Witney and Oxford.
The council is proposing reducing these services from hourly to two hourly. If you have
opened the consultation papers online you would have noticed that this would save the
council at most under ВЈ200,000 a sum which is insignificant in the annual transport
budget of just over ВЈ53 million, but one with severe repercussions for many.
The view of the Green Party is simple. We can t justify the existence of public services
just on the basis of a crude income and expenditure analysis. In the instance of transport a
proper cost benefit analysis should take into account matters such as benefit to the
environment, sustainability and overall services distribution. In this context reducing
buses in rural areas would clearly make no sense whatsoever.

  • 2. The Five Social Classes In The United States America has five social classes. The Upper Class is made up of wealth, and in most cases is inherited wealth that has been passed down from generation to generation. Individuals have little control over this class as many are born into the circumstance. The Upper Class participate in politics and economic environments. Not all Upper Class is old money, there are also those individuals that have made money as entrepreneurs. The next social classis the Upper Middle Class. These individuals are at the top of management level in organizations, educated and have families. Many Upper Middle class are two income families. (Tischler, pg 182) Education plays a key role in the success of the Upper Middle class so there is a level of control an individual
  • 3. Cows Vs Bulls These are used in dairy production because of their high volume of milk which they produce with the high levels of fat and protein which is found in their milk; they are larger than Friesians but do not carry as much meat and can be either black and white or red and white although they are mainly seen in black and white. They can be found worldwide in nearly every continent, they are also renowned for their easy going temperament and ease of handling, they are used for milk production for on average six years, even though many cows will live for longer. During a single lactation period a cow can produce approximately 7591.45 litres of milk during each lactation and this lasts for about 10 months; working out to on average 24.89 litres per day. ... Beef Charolais They are white in colour, and were first bred in France; being first imported into Britain in the 1950s to improve dairy calves but because of their fast growing rate, good muscle formation, quality tasting meat and being good suckler beef cattle they became big in the beef industry. They have little fat in their meat and because of their original use of pulling heavy carts and ploughs they, especially the bulls, have big hindquarters and back muscles which in turn helps them to be superior above the other breeds. When crossed with a dairy cow a Charolais cross calf has the distinguishable colour of a Charolais as well as the good growth rate and muscle mass this makes for a heavier calf that is finished and ready for selling at an earlier age than all other breeds, which in turn brings in a bigger price at auction. • 4. The Drug Of Illicit Drugs During the financial crisis in Mexico in 1995, it was estimated that the country s earning from oil exports was equivalent to the same amount of money involved in the laundering of drugs and that major drug cartels in Mexico continually rake in profits in the region of ten to thirty billion dollars annually (UNESCOPRESS 2002). This goes to highlight the huge underworld of dealings in illicit drugs, not just in Mexico but globally. Following the UN Conventions of 1961, 1971 and 1988 states internationally, in particular the US, have waged an arguably failing war on drugs with one of the underlying motives being the reduction of drugrelated crime. Such crimes range from addicts trying to feed their expensive habit through thefts, burglary... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The drugs in question are the 250 or so drugs deemed illegal by the UN conventions. Yet a focus on the licit nature of one of the most powerful drugs, alcohol, will be important in understanding the effects drugs have on crime and the lessons that can be learnt from alcohol prohibition in the past. One of the main perpetrators of drug related crimes are drug addicts who seek to fund their expensive habits by committing crimes. First of all, it is important to note that despite the common perception of the drug abuser being a lifeless junkie with no real ambitions research has shown that most users of illicit drugs are independent individuals who are able to lead ordinary lives (Bennetto and Todd 1997). The minority of illicit drug users who do suffer from addiction and consequently engage in crime to fund their costly addictions have predominantly been found not to be acting out of violent impulses, but more out of motivation for money to purchase drugs. Research has shown that most crimes instigated by addicts have been of a peaceful nature and suggest a greater use of wit than force (Goldstein 1985: 5). What s more, the characteristics attributed to drug abusers, such as paranoia, introversion and psychotic tendencies have been deemed to be under specific character traits that can be equally attributed to any criminal, even those who do not take drugs. Comparisons of drug addicted prisoners to non addicted prisoners has shown that
  • 5. Mental Illness In Gran Torino Our experiences shape who we are. Gran Torino by Clint Eastwood is a moving film that depicts topics such as racism, mental illness and sacrifice in a modern setting without sugarcoating. In the film, korean war veteran and curmudgeon Walt Kowalski becomes an unexpected hero and father figure to nextdoor neighbour Thao Lor. Gran Torino begins in a funeral home, where protagonist Walt is mourning the death of his spouse, grimacing at the reality of being widowed and the disrespect of his children and their families. After the death of his wife, Mr. Kowalski does little other than drink his weight in beer daily and make critical comments towards his neighbours and surrounding community. Besides the company of his yellow labrador Daisy, Walt is alone with his thoughts. Because Walt acquired racism through experience where the race he discriminates was an enemy in reality, it is not truly one of his traits and can be undone as he is human and is able to overcome his mental illness, which is the reasoning for his intolerance. Initially, Walt is racist because he has been trained not to trust koreans and will not be bothered to distinguish the difference between who he had fought and his neighbours. He struggles to realize that he is no longer at war and mentally is unable to move on from that state of mind. In a scene following Walt s first threat towards the gang, it is evidently identified that he is still living in the past through an interaction between him and Father
  • 6. Life Saving Strategies for Food Allergies Living with food allergies is a full time job as it is. Between reading ingredients, calling food companies, worrying about the cross contamination of what others are eating near you, to the what ifs, it can be rather over whelming at times. Should it not be easier, since food allergies are readily growing? It should be mandatory for school workers, all teachers, nurses, and caregivers to notice signs of anaphylaxisand when to give ephedrine. One of the easiest ways to make this possible would be to teach these life skills just as one would learn CPR. In order to make sure this is a widespread knowledge, it would be needed to have a daycare. It is very important for a caregiver to know what to look for and what anaphylaxis looks like. Anaphylaxis is not always noticeable, or just the throat closing up. Even though this topic has been written about many times over, I hope to give readers another perspective, and hopefully change some protocols, from a mother who has food allergies and is taking care of her children with food allergies. SAVING KIDS FROM FOOD ALLERGIES and A Tiny Dose of Peanuts Seemed to Help some Children Allergic to that Legume are from the Rio Salado Library, I found them both from searching food allergies. How to Use Epipen came straight from the Epipen s website and it teaches how to use the ephedrine device. Although there are a few other ephedrine devices, Epipen is the most widely used. All of the sources are to help, assist, and education about
  • 7. Roul Monologue Alex P.O.V. I just got finished packing, tomorrow my sister, Aaron, and I are moving to Seoul to live with our brothers and their band members. My sister and I are twins along with our brothers. Our brothers are part of the famous K Pop boy group called BOYFRIEND. I can t wait to meet the others, especially Minwoo because he s my bias. I m so nervous. I said to myself. *Time skip**Incheon airport* We just got off the plane and were walking to meet up with BOYFRIEND s manager. When we walked out of the airport, we were surprised at who we saw. Instead of the manager we saw our brothers. We ran to them, giving them a huge hug, leaving our suitcases behind and in the way of everyone. We ve missed you two so much! our brothers said as they gave us a huge bear hug. We ve missed you too! we breathed as the hug was too tight. They let go, realizing they were squeezing too hard and apologizing. They told us we had to get going as they grabbed our suitcases. We haven t been in Seoul for about 4 years, due to our mother s job, and we forgot how beautiful is was. When we arrived at the dorm the rest of the members were waiting outside for us. When I looked at Minwoo he looked at me and I started fangirling and hid behind Kwangmin oppa. • 8. Finding out a Bit about Sweden Sweden Since I am interested in Sweden, I decided to find out a little about. One of the first thing I would find out is some basic information about the country. Another thing I would like to find out is what has happen in Sweden s history. Furthermore, it would also be interesting to learn about the country s current leader. Information about the capital city is another thing that I want to discover about Sweden. In addition, I would like to find out about popular attractions that are located in Sweden. Finally, I want to learn about a famous person who was born in Sweden. Those are some of the thing I hope to learn from doing this project. The first thing I wanted to find out was some basic information about Sweden found out that armed neutrality has kept Sweden out of a war nearly for two centuries. Low unemployment a low birthrate and one of the world s highest life expectancies has changed today s Sweden. So there for Sweden would be a very good place to live, there are not many people running around. There are jobs there for people. Sweden success has been good with capitalism like cooperation between the government and labor unions that are 90% of the workers. In the late 1980s, there were flood immigrants from Asia, Africa and Latin American. The second thing I wanted to learn was what has happened in Sweden s history I discovered that the earliest historical mention of Sweden is found in Tacitus. In the 11th century Olaf Skottkonung had became the first king to
  • 9. Pompeii Research Paper Beneath the Ashes Whenever someone hears the name, Pompeii, one event comes to mind: the eruption that demolished it. Most people simply know this society only for the incident that buried it for centuries. They do not fully understand the importance of the culture underneath the ashes. The catastrophic events that took their toll on the ancient city of Pompeii, though tragic and unforgiving, serve as fundamental historical insight into the Pompeian culture and the calamity that demolished this central portion of the Roman Empire. Mt. Vesuvius, a dormant stratovolcano, had not erupted for over 71, 500 years. The city of Pompeii was isolated from all that was outside of its borders. The only other natural disaster recorded in the area was on February 5, 62 AD, when a major earthquake occurred in the epicenter of Pompeii (Modigliani). This severely damaged the town, causing buildings, temples, and houses to collapse. The society was ignorant to natural disasters, so many were unsure how to react. Because of this, a significant portion of the population evacuated the city after the severe quakes. The towering ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is not true, for Vesuvius is one of the smallest active volcanoes in the world (Barnes, 42). In fact, the eruption in 79 was not even Mount Vesuviuss most colossal eruption. Vesuvius was an active volcanoboth before and after it demolished Pompeii. There have been over 70 eruptions in the last 17,000 years, notably altering the recovery of the historical site (Brilliant, 31). Eight of these major eruptions are alleged as even more severe than the one that demolished the Pompeii. The reason that the 79 AD eruption is acknowledged so highly is the fact that it created a natural time capsule of the Roman Empire, allowing archaeologists a glimpse into the
  • 10. God s Divine Omniscience Boethius way of understanding Gods divine omniscience came from his dilemma of whether or not it denied him of free will. He knew that God s divine omniscience was necessary for it is within Gods very definition that it must exist. However, if it is true that God knows everything that has, and ever will happen then where does that leave room for free will? To answer this Boethius describes: first, what Gods knowledge is and how it doesn t imply necessity, second, how it is ok that we don t fully understand God, and third, the nature of eternity and what it means to his omniscience. Gods knowledge is not predictive but is intelligible; what is known is known with absolute certainty. Predictions involve the weighing of what is likely and what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sense perception is the lowest sense that to which almost all animals have. Sense perception is only the awareness of bodily senses. Imagination is higher in that it does not depend on physical objects. Reason is even higher because it allows you to understand universal law through inference and analogy. The highest sense is pure intelligence, that of which only God has. Pure intelligence understands the workings of the universe without the use of inference or analogy, it can grasp meaning through simple thought. God is the only one with pure intelligence. Senses higher up on the list can understand everything below them but those below can never understand those above. So Boethius derives from this that we can try to understand Gods omniscience the best we can, but we will never understand it like he does. So the nature of Gods omniscience can only be truly understood by the sense of true intelligence that let it exist. Gods eternity, Boethius describes, gives key to the nature of his omniscience. Gods knowledge transcends change. He does not experience past present and future as humans do but instead experiences all of time, all at once in one single grasp. God exists outside of time. He is current witness to everything that has and ever will happen. If God is witness to all time then it is not necessary that he be the cause of our actions, but because the bi product of our actions our currently being witnessed there occurrence is in fact

They were known as the simple living, plain drees and unwilling to embrace the convenience of the modern technology. They started a small group of reform minded Mennonites in the Switzerland when they separated from the main movement. Based on the article, The Amishwas lived in Rhine River. Jacob founded the Amish Movement in the year 1644. Jacob felt that the Mennonites had driven away their original beliefs and practices. That the Mennonites does not have any disciplines. • 12. Death in Thanatopsis by William Cullen Bryant Essay Death in Thanatopsis by William Cullen Bryant When people ponder death they wonder about the unknown with trepidation. As a young man, William Cullen Bryant wrote the Thanatopsis. His thoughts progress from the fear of death to the acceptance of the event. People should not fear death because everyone dies and becomes a part of nature. A person should live life without fearing death and think of death as a pleasant rest. In the poem Bryant says, When thoughts/Of the last bitter hour come like a blight/Over thy spirit, (8 15). This quote implies when a person fears death he should listen to nature. He also states, So live, that when the thy summons come to join/The innumerable caravans, #8230;Thou go not, like a quarry slave... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An excerpt from the poem says, Yet not to thy eternal resting place/Shalt thou retire alone, #8230;Thou shalt lie down/With patriarchs of the infant world with kings, #8230; (31 37). This quote explains that when people die they are not alone; they lie down to rest with the people of the past. Later in the poem Bryant states, All that breathe/Will share thy destiny. The gay will laugh/When thou art gone, the solemn brood of care/Plod on, and each one as before will chase/His favorite phantom; (60 64). He explains that all living things die and that life will continue after they die. In a following selection of the poem he says, Yet these shall leave #8230;And make their bed with thee #8230;. matron and maid, /The speechless babe, and the gray headed man /Shall one by one be gathered to thy side, /By those, who in their turn shall follow them. (64 72). He states that one by one everyone will die. Eventually, everyone dies, and they live on through Nature in another form. Although a person loses individuality at death, he becomes a part of nature. Bryant says in this line, Earth, that nourished thee, shall claim/Thy growth, to be resolved to earth again, (22 23). The poet explains that people will return to the Earth that provided them with nourishment when they die. Bryant writes, To mix for ever with the elements, /To be brother to the insensible rock /And to the sluggish clod, #8230; (26 28). He asserts here that once they are dead they will mix with

As a result, consumers do have high bargaining power that they do not have high switching costs. Suppliers Power: In Hong Kong market, there are so many food suppliers and food distributors which often supply raw food materials to catering, for example, local fresh fish markets. Their principal activities are supplying food to ultimate consumers. Moreover, most of the raw materials are imported, according to the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, over 90% of food is imported from other countries. Unless the main ingredient of the product is not available, the bargaining power of suppliers of fast food industry would be therefore relatively small. The industry has very strong negotiation position for the raw materials and with low switching costs. Social Challenges In Social Work The resilience and determination of people through adverse conditions has been a driving force in the reasons I choose this profession, and why I continue to choose it every day. In particular, family challenges have been an interest of mine, and I have always been captivated in understanding the social layers which affect their lives. My family has undergone adverse circumstances, which has resulted in intergenerational trauma. My sister had three children who were removed from her care and placed for closed adoption, as a result of her ongoing mental health challenges. When my first nephew was born, I re experienced significant traumatic childhood events; he was placed into protective care. I was not aware of the apprehension plan. As someone who was invested in this child s life, I stepped up to be a significant family member. At the time I was the only family member able to have visitation with him, thus stepping into a maternal role. His birth and eventual adoption was a turning point in my life. It forced me into a position where I had to become completely estranged from my biological family. At that moment, I decided I needed to be a part of changing the social injustices I experienced and witnessed through obtaining a bachelor of social work. I grew up in a home environment that did not value education, and in which I entered various social systems, one being children protection. I have witnessed and experienced oppression and the effects of becoming an
  • 15. Mesopotamia, Egypt, And The Indus River Valley Mesopotamia, Egypt, and the Indus River Valley were all civilizations situated near rivers. In Mesopotamia, the Tigris and Euphrates rivers rose annually but were prone to flooding. In Egypt, on the other hand, the Nile River had predictable flooding and was and still is the longest river in the world. It was also easy to traverse due to southern wind patterns and northern currents. In the Indus Valley, people lived near the Indus River, hence the name. Also, they were isolated, surrounded by the Himalayas, just as Egypt was isolated, surrounded by deserts, mountains, seas, and cataracts. On the other hand, Mesopotamiawas more open and vulnerable to invasion. In all three cradles, agriculture began independently. As a result of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Egypt, the pharaoh served as God and king. The Sun God was the main God, leading to discussion today over whether Egyptians technically practiced monotheism before the Hebrews. However, King Tut later reverted back to polytheism. They had a main focus on the afterlife, which explains why they mummified their dead. The people of the Indus Valley were polytheistic and worshipped some female deities. Divisions in the land took place in each of these three early civilizations. Mesopotamia was a loose confederation of walled off city states each ruled by a king. Rivalry over land and water amongst these city states often led to violent conflict. In fact, under the rule of the Assyrians, these walls were 5 to 7 stories high and a hundred feet thick in some places. Egypt was not as divided as Mesopotamia and was ruled by a pharaoh who served as God and king. The Indus Valley people were the first to use zoning, or when certain areas are designated as residential, commercial, and for manufacturing. Unlike in the Fertile Crescent, there was little indication of political hierarchy or centralized states. The Ziggurat, the largest structure in many of the Mesopotamian city states, served as a temple or pyramid, while many of the around 70 cities of the Indus Valley had citadels, or two story buildings with a bath on top that represented a centralized authority. In contrast, the pyramids of Egypt showed job

Confessions Of A Bad Teacher Summary Having read Confessions of a Bad Teacher by John Owens, I was amazed at the overall condition of the inner city school Latinate that he taught in many different ways. I never observed or went to an inner city school, and I always heard stories from my mom about how teaching in the city is one of the most difficult jobs a person could have. After reading this book, I now believe this statement even more. Mr. Owens had to manage all of the nuances that make up a traditional classroom ranging from having good lesson structure, having a good classroom environment and management, and having good instructional strategies. In addition to fulfilling these big challenges, Mr. Owens also has to deal with numerous cultural differences in the classroom, many additional instructional demands as imposed by the principal Ms. P, and lack of family and community support from families and members of Latinate. While Latinate is located in the heart of the Bronx in New York City, it is a schoolthat promises a college preparatory program while using the latest technological equipment to promote learning both inside and outside of the classroom. Over time, Mr. Owens learned that this... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Owens s mind when he tried to structure his lessons around the content that was in the PowerPoints that the lead English teacher gave him near the start of the year. When he tried to teach his students this content, he got literally nowhere with them because of the mismatch in cultural identity in the instructional demands. Requiring that all students pass these English classes without requiring them to show proficiency or even submit any work is absolutely insane. It is also insane to try to teach kids something that they cannot relate to. When Mr. Owens changed the curriculum to topics that revolved around certain issues that his group of students could relate to, every single student turned in a paper and they actually put forth effort to want to do

Reducing Public Services Yet another set of cuts is now foreseen to our beleaguered local service, just days after announcements were made regarding consultations on reducing children s services, school buses and, well, just about anything you can think of which serves the public basically. This time the council is proposing reviewing the timetables of a number of bus services in and around Witney, but also other rural areas of the County. I can t comment on services in other neighbourhoods, but our 18 and 19 routes are for many people a lifeline. For the elderly, unemployed, disabled and youths buses are the one and only form of transport available to them to get them into the main business centres of Witney and Oxford. The council is proposing reducing these services from hourly to two hourly. If you have opened the consultation papers online you would have noticed that this would save the council at most under ВЈ200,000 a sum which is insignificant in the annual transport budget of just over ВЈ53 million, but one with severe repercussions for many. The view of the Green Party is simple. We can t justify the existence of public services just on the basis of a crude income and expenditure analysis. In the instance of transport a proper cost benefit analysis should take into account matters such as benefit to the environment, sustainability and overall services distribution. In this context reducing buses in rural areas would clearly make no sense whatsoever. Countless previous examples
