T-Shirts form Lubbok
It is very likely that our T shirts are born near Lubbock, Texas, which is the known to be the cottonest
city in the whole world. Nelson Reinsch is a very successful cotton farmer. Him and his wife Ruth
tend to be seen as people whose minds are opening rather than closing as they approach the ends of
their lives. Producing cotton is no longer the exhausting physical process that it used to be, but Nelson
and Ruth still fight both the impulses of nature and the moods of the markets. Every summer, they
take on the different types of weathers they have to face and compete with cotton farmers from over
70 countries. Nelson Reinsch 1,000 acres can produce about 500,000 pounds of cotton lint if it is fully
planted, which is enough for about 1.3 million T shirts. Him ending his life in the same occupation
that he began with makes a clear statement about the U.S. cotton industry. For over 200 years, The
U.S. has been the certain leader of the global cotton industry. Poor countries have a very small chance
to catch up with all the challenges they face. The U.S. has dominantly occupied first place in cotton
production, cotton exports, farm size, and yields per acre. American industries usually compete with
countries that are similar to them. For example, U.S. forms compete with Japanese automakers,
German chemical companies, and Swiss pharmaceuticals. For climatic reasons, there are few
advanced industrial economies that produce cotton. American cotton growers compete with

The Killer Whale And The Whale s Dolphin Family
A killer whale is a toothed whale belonging to the ocean s dolphin family. The killer whale can also be
referred to as the orca whale or an orca. The killer whale belongs with the ocean s family of dolphins,
it s the largest member of the dolphin family. The whale weighs approximately up to eight thousand
eight hundred pounds and it can grow up to twenty eight feet in length. In this essay I will be
presenting the many factors that are included in a killer whale such as, stereotypes, intelligence,
foraging and feeding, living in groups, different types, appearance, and their life cycle. Mammal
eating killer whales typically travel in much smaller groups then fish eating whales, presumably
because there is some advantage to doing so. For killer whales hunting harbor seals, individual food
intake rates are highest for individuals in groups of three, that is, three appears to be an optimal group
size for foraging. Killer whales generally choose to attack young or weak animals, however a group of
five or more may attack a healthy adult.
Killer whales work together to force the fish from deep water up to near the surface where they are
easier to catch. Killer whales are highly social; some populations are composed of matrilineal family
groups, which are the most stable of any animal group. Another commonly cited example of a benefit
group living for various species of whales or dolphins is babysitting or allomothering.
The killer whale consists of three different types of

Nosocomial Infection Paper
When people go into hospitals, they expect to be treated from what illness they have. The US Center
for Disease Control and Prevention states that one in twenty five patients will obtain nosocomial
infections (Mercola No p). Readers may think that these statistics are not that bad, but when readers
become educated on how dangerous and how easy it is to acquire this infection they will think twice.
The most common ways to acquire nosocomial infections are central line associated bloodstream,
catheter associated urinary tract, surgical site after surgery, clostridium difficile infections (Mercola
No. p). People may think to take antibiotics to help get over illness. In the long run taking antibiotics
is not always going to help a person. Some pathogens that antibiotics are resistant to are Carbapenem

People may not know that nosocomial infections are caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites

system is down, so they are more susceptible to microorganisms that are already exist to worsen, to
make people more ill (Davidson; Odle; Cataldo: 2015). People wonder how do patients get urinary
tract infections (UTIs). It is common misconception patients cannot get sick from catheterization, but
they can. The catheter may have some sort of bacteria that follows into the urethra into the bladder
that will cause a nosocomial infection. Patients that get hospital acquired infections that come from
fungus they are at risk by a fungi called Candida (Davidson; Odle; Cataldo: 2015). Health care

Compare And Contrast Democrat And Republican Parties
The Democratic and Republican parties are two of the major contemporary political parties in the
United States. Although there are some similarities between the parties like the common view that our
country requires change. Regarding economic, social and foreign policy issues, the differences of
these two political platforms are what set them apart.
Concerning economic development, the stances of Democrats and Republicans vary significantly.
Regarding the issue of tax policy, the Democratic Party is committed to reforming the tax code, so that
no millionaire pays a smaller share of income than a middle class family, while Republicans want to
eliminate the death tax and repeal the Alternative minimum tax to guard the American people against
hyper taxation. (Naccp) On the topic of Medicare, the Democratic platform says the party will oppose
any efforts to privatize or voucherize the program, while the Republican platform would reshape the
program for those under 55 so they would get an income adjusted contribution toward a health plan of

The Republic platform also believes that taking care of one s health is an individual responsibility
while the democratic party advocates a more accessible and affordable health care program for
Americans. Republicans want to repel Obamacare, while democrats believe it will help millions of

right to make a decision regarding abortion, Republicans oppose using public revenues to promote or
perform abortion. (Priests for life) The Democratic platform also support same sex marriage while the

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Piaget
Theorist John Piaget is a cognitive psychologist who was born in Switzerland on the 9th of August
1896 and died on the 16th of September 1980. He work at the Binet Institution in the 1920 s and his
job was to create questions on French on the English intelligence test. He was the first psychologist to
do a systematic study on cognitive development. John Piaget s Theory Schema Piaget s definition of
schema was a cohesive, repeatable action sequence possessing component actions that are tightly
interconnected and governed by a core meaning. In plain terms, Piaget called schema the basic

Development Piaget changed how people saw a child s world and their technique of studying children.
Many who took up his ideas were inspired by him. Piaget s ideas were of efficient use in
comprehending and corresponding with children, mainly in the educational field. Disadvantages of
cognitive development Piaget focused on the universal stages of concentrated on cognitive
development and biological process. He did not consider the effect that the social setting and cultures
may have on cognitive development. Piaget s methods are more biased because he only did
observation on his own and not with another researcher to compare and check for correlation. Piaget s

Piaget used small sample size of participant for his studies. He used only children from Switzerland

Christianity As An Imperial Religion
The conversions of Aksun Emperor Ezana and Armenian King Trdat to Christianity show Christianity
was used as an imperial religion. Constantine set this conversion model in 312 when he proclaimed
Jesus Christ as his patron deity. Constantine s strategic decision was not based in faith but in a power
to win the Battle of the Milvian Bridge. The Christian God is credited with this military triumph
signaling the Christian God is one of imperial power. Founded in between the second and first
centuries BCE, the Axum kingdom laid the foundation for a Christian Ethiopia. In 330 CE two Syrian
brothers, Frumentius and Adesius, were shipwrecked along the coast of Axum and taken prisoner.

Kubler Ross 5 Stages Of Grief Essay
The prominent and well known five stages of grief created by Elisabeth Kubler Ross have been
adopted by professionals to support patients across all settings with the difficult process of death and
dying. In Elisabeth Kubler Ross s classic study of the dying process the process of dying has a
universality to it which connects all human beings despite each experience being individualistic. Many
individuals experience and adopt these stages after being faced with the reality of their impending
death or the death of a loved one. Medical professionals can support patients with this process by
providing meaningful and multidimensional care that can include pain management, patient advocacy,
and _____ .
Kubler Ross identified five linear stages of grief. Most all patients are faced with the initial stage in
the process which is denial and isolation. This stage usually is in a shock response to poor and life
changing news. This first stage of grieving helps us to survive the loss (Kubler Ross, Pg. 10) A patient

Preferences can evolve as the disease progresses, as research shows that patients may want a sense of
control over their disease, control over suffering, and control over death itself. (Knops, Srinivasan,
Meyers (2005). Patients and their families at the end of life are found to be relationship based and
process oriented rather than focusing on medical goals (steinhauser et, al., 2000). When looking at
patient and family preferences nurses work to meet the spiritual, psychological, and social needs of
patients and patient s families during their most difficult triumphs and tributes. Hospice care nurses
are called upon to provide compassionate emotional support through patient and family end of life
decisions, all while remaining culturally competent and

Frame Narrative
The way in which a story is organized or complied adds to the ideas, themes, and character of the
story. A frame narrative is a way in which a story is told were a main story leads reader into other
stories within. Essentially a frame narrative is a story within another story. As in the story One
Thousand and One Night the frame narrative is used to tell many different stories within the main
story. Although the stories in One Thousand and One Nights are separate from the main story the
stories are still relative to the main idea. In One Thousand and One Night the separate stories within
are used to delay execution of one of the main characters. In the story of Canterbury tales the frame
narrative is used to pass the time of a long journey ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
King Shahrayar is persuaded by the frame narrative, or the stories with One Thousand and One
Nights, to revaluate his morals and unjust killing of dozens of innocent women. Just as in One
Thousand and One Nights the Canterbury tales also uses a frame narrative to add to the central ideas
and message of the story. The Canterbury tales examines a group of people who are making a
pilgrimage to Canterbury. The journey is quite a long one and it is suggested by the host that they each
tell stories to pass the time of their long journey. So each member of the group begins to tell a separate
story which is indicative of the frame narrative. Although, each stories differ from one another they all
add in some way to the overall story of Canterbury Tales. Some stories such as the Night s Tale are
about great valor and chivalry, while other are less serious and more satirical. Here this quote is
expressing what the travelers will do along their journey to pass the time as said by the host: Each one
of you, to make our journey short, Shall tell two stories, as we ride, I mean, Toward Canterbury; and
coming home again Shall tell two other tales he may have heard Of happenings that some time have
occurred (2066). Also, since they will be all together for such a long journey it is nice that they get to
know one another more personally. This also adds to the overall idea of the story. The frame narratives

Essay on Health and Diet
Health and Diet
Abstract: With my personal life experience I d like to clarify that a healthy diet and physical exercises
help to lose weight. This passage introduces some scientific means to keep fit and, from both sides,
indicates the effection that it may have brought along. Another point is that one should choose an
appropriate way according to his personal case. Frustration and troubles are often met, but how to deal
with them depend on ourselves. What is cricial is about persistence, optimism and rationalism.

How brutal! I had the only meal in the morning, mainly of beef, and nothing for lunch. I suffered from
the desire to eat at noon. How I dealt with it was to play basketball, hard and lonely. The fatigue did
replace my hunger. Laciness of nutrition and excessive sport agonized me a lot. I had been be worn
out by afternoon. I so frequently fell absent minded in class that I lagged behind. Still nothing for
dinner. To save energy, I had to go to bed as early as nine 0¡¯clock. Frankly, sleeping didn¡¯t work so
simply, because dreaming easily bothered me. KFC, jiaozi, chocolate gathered around in the dream at
night. This kind of extraordinary life almost drove me to have the symptom of disgusting any food.
Two months later, I, weighing 65 KG, slipped into not a fat any more but a plentiful beauty. However,
my dieting began to remain unmovable. No matter how I dieted, my weight just changed little.
The negative effect turned up after the temporary satisfaction with my figure. Too short of nutrition, I
easily got out of breath only for a short walk. My hairs left me in crowds. The worse was that I fainted
many times. Mom sent for a doctor. I was adjusted to a standard diet. I returned to be fine gradually.
So which is the practicable way to keep fit? Experts explain.

Define White Collar Crime
White Collar crime is not a crime unto it self, but instead a criteria that has to be met in order for a
crime to be considered as White Collar Crime; (Blount, 2002) hence the reason why Corporate Crime
is also considered as White Collar Crime. At the same time, White Collar Crime and Corporate Crime
can be seen as distinct criminological categories, however, in order to reveal this, this essay will firstly
be exploring Sutherland s definition of white collar crime and the perplexity with this definition of
white collar crime. It will then be looking at the modification which had to take place with Sutherland
s definition of white collar crime in order to established a distinction between white collar and
corporate crime. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, criminal behaviour is learned, and when this behaviour is been taught, it entails
techniques of committing the crime which at times can be complicated and other times quite simple;
the specific direction of the motives, drives, rationalisation and attitudes. (Newburn, 2013, pp. 394).
Although this theory is rarely used when theorising white collar crime, it is nonetheless an important
factor in many offending. For example, a study carried out by Geis of an electrical equipment
company found that a lot of manufacture encouraged price fixing by their employee as a way of
coping with market pressure. Geis pointed out that these activities was an established way of life
where those that are involved learns attitudes and rationalisation that favour and support such
misconduct. (Newburn, 2013). A second theory was given by Hirschi and Gottfredson, which is called
the Self Control Theory. This theory focus on human nature and the significance of gratification. The
central idea of this theory is that individuals peruse self interest and self gratification and the
avoidance of pain. In regards to this theory crime is seen as a way in which individuals maximise
pleasure and minimise pain. Furthermore, they argued that the differences that there are between those
that chooses not to be involved in criminal activities and those that choose to

Plato The Shackles
In Book 1 of Plato s The Republic, Socrates asks Cephalus about the difficulty of old age, as Cephalus
has reached the threshold of death and is therefore suited to speak upon age. Cephalus explains that
older people tend to be more peaceful because youthful desires like sex, partying, and drinking
constrain many people to temporal pleasure, but age releases them from those shackles. These
youthful desires are later treated as shackles that constrain many people to temporal pleasures. By
introducing these metaphorical shackles in the first discussion of The Republic, Plato foreshadows and
parallels the cave allegory that appears in Book 7 (Plato 3). In the cave allegory, people are chained
inside a cave and their knowledge is limited to only what they can see: the images of shadows casted
by statues. But once a philosopher enters, the prisoners are released from the shackles, exposed to the
light, and they themselves become philosophers. But the process does not stop there; the new
philosophers adopt altruism, going back to the cave to free the other prisoners ... Show more content

He introduces the struggle of classism when he notes that age isn t easy for a good man if he s poor
(3). This statement connecting age and class further demonstrates the timeless issue with money and
material possessions in society. Plato states that money is a requirement for old age to be enjoyable
and enlightening. But money is the same item that lures people into the chains of obsession. So those
wishing to enjoy a pleasurable old age free from glutinous desire must maintain wealth. But wealth
often diminishes character, causing people to become greedy and corrupt. Nevertheless, old age acts
as a safeguard against the perversions of

Cesar Chavez Struggle In The Fields Analysis
SSCI 100 Assignment #2
The Struggle in the Fields has always been a controversial issue. In the PBS series, we get to learn
how many obstacles came along, when many Filipino farm workers along with Mexican American
workers began to demand a change in the fields.
The struggle in the fields was a movement that was primarily started as a strike in 1965 by Filipino
farm workers in Coachella, California than it was led by Cesar Chavez throughout the central valley,
they demanded better working conditions from the Growers. Many Mexican American farm workers
in Delano, California started to walk off the fields, refusing to pick grapes until the demands they had
were heard. The workers were tired of inhuman treatment and the poor working conditions, ... Show

Their faith allowed them to feel stronger when the movement was taking place, it allowed them to
fight in several different ways. The movement was already in the fifth month and they had not seen
any type of change, this was when Cesar Chavez decided to start a peregrinacion to Sacramento. His
goal was to recruit or inspire as many people so they could join the movement and have a louder
voice. This brought an opportunity to take their voices all around the San Joaquin valley, they saw the
valley as a place that had been full of limitations for them and the peregrinacion made the limitations
disappear, they were able to surpass those walls, and as they walked throughout many towns more and
more people became sympathetic to their cause and joined them on this journey. When they were on
the peregrinacion their mornings began with the faith they had held they went to mass, after they
would begin to walk to the next town, following a sacred image of La Virgen de Guadalupe it gave
them hope. His nonviolence policy also had a lot to give to the movement, as years pass many of the
farm workers became frustrated at the fact that they had not seen any changes, they began to talk
about using violence against the growers, this was when Cesar Chavez began to worry about the
things they could do, and he took matters into his own hands. In 1968 he started a

The Rise Of Democracy And The Threat Of Persia
The Rise of Democracy and the Threat of Persia occurred during the sixth century BCE however, it
mirrors the issues of the Americas and Great Britain in the sixteenth nineteenth century. In 508 BCE
the Athenian aristocrat Cleisthenes instituted the first Athenian political democracy. The Athenian had
endured 50 years of tyranny under the Pisistratus rule. America also was under a tyranny and wanted
to be independent of the monarchy of Britain. As we all know this led to the Revolutionary War.

Love and Death in Love in the Time of Cholera
For readers familiar with Love in the Time of Cholera, the themes of love and death would be
constantly visited and revisited again by Gabriel Garcia Marquez in his novel, with a tad of heavy
reliance on the cholera pandemic (as the title suggests not so subtly) and going so far as to intertwine
them into a single notion (more often than not) throughout. Such a combination (and comparison) is
most visible in Florentino, and helps shapes our emotions and thoughts about him as a character. Yet,
in seeing how the author allows these themes to interact as merely a vehicle to power his characters
and novel would be too simplistic an idea; instead, one should perhaps consider the alternative
viewpoints of these themes addressing deeper concerns ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this instance, love, like cholera, produces an actual physical illness in Florentino which, at the same
time inflicts him mentally, eventually consuming him wholly, as we would learn through the course of
the novel. This illness can be read from his eating of gardenias and drinking of cologne so that he can
know Fermina s taste. This episode also sets the comparison of Florentino s love to that of flowers in
the Love in the Time of Cholera where his ingestion of these flowers could be seen as a symbolism of
him ingesting Fermina s affections, and one which render him violently ill, just like how this love
brings upon him both mental and physical anguish and suffering. Like the ravages of cholera which, at
the turn of the century, spelt certain death (with no cure known yet), love had been similarly portrayed
as such by Marquez in his novel. More importantly, the wrong diagnosis of cholera in this chapter
foreshadows the conclusion of the novel, as we would come to learn of later.
Reading the novel from henceforth, however, readers are introduced to a new angle of death and love
by Marquez. While it would be too simplistic to summarize the third chapter as just Florentino bidding
his time to declare his love for Fermina again, it also, once again, brings forth the notion of aging (as
first seen in Saint Amour s letter) and death, associated with love. Florentino, for much of this

Interpersonal Communication And Conflict Resolution
Literature Review
I have read, evaluated, examined and summarised the main secondary research resources that helped
me understand my interpersonal communication topic, Conflict Management, and how theories,
relevant skills and strategies can play a big role throughout the resolution and frequency of conflict
among my peers.
Personality Types and Development of Adolescents Conflict with Friends
This study aimed to examine the developmental pattern of adolescents conflict frequency and conflict
resolution with their best friends, and differences in these developmental changes between individuals
with different personality types. According to the Dual Concern model individuals utilization of
conflict resolution depends on the level of concern for oneself versus others. Specifically,
collaboration occurs when there is high concern for both oneself and others. This strategy is
characterized by positive conflict resolution behaviours such as negotiation and compromise.
Accommodation takes place when there is high concern for others, but low concern for oneself. This
strategy is characterized by high levels of compliance. A controlling resolution strategy reflects a high
concern for oneself and low concern for others, and is characterized by negative affect, hostility, or
coercive behaviour. In addition, a non confrontational strategy, which involves reducing the
importance of conflict and attempting to suppress thinking about conflict, represents a low concern for
both oneself

After flying to Edmonton for the initial interview, Schwartz felt that leading a firm like GAI was the

offered, Schwartz eagerly accepted with the understanding that he would help GAI develop into a
global organization with the help of the right technology. His knowledge and belief in technology was
well known across the industry and was a contributing factor for the GAI board of directors who
eventually came to a consensus to hire him as CEO. The first few months out west proved to be a
frustrating time for Schwartz. There were so many differences between Kanata and Edmonton both
geographically and socially that he knew it would take some time before he felt comfortable in his
new surroundings. But the frustration was also occurring at work where he felt there was a lot of
resistance to new ideas and a lack of innovative thinking at the tech firm. Based on conversations with
the HR Director, Stuart Miller, Schwartz learned that he was the first senior executive to ever be hired
from outside of the GAI organization; all others were from the southern Alberta region and had moved
up the ranks throughout the organization, including both the previous president and CEO. In addition
to that, Schwartz was only the second senior executive to lead the firm since its creation in 1997. The

The Bobo Doll Experiment Importance In Psychology
Bobo Doll Experiment Importance in Psychology The Bobo Doll Experiment was an experiment

question, do children act aggressively if they grow up watching aggressive behavior? The conductor

were believed to be supportive of his hypothesis.
What is this Study?
The Bobo Doll Experiment reveals how children imitate TV violence and the behavior of others.
Albert Bandura was the man who conducted the study of The Bobo Doll Experiment. He studied
children s behavior in the years of 1961 and 1963. He decided to watch the children s behaviors after
he watched an adult act hostile towards a Bobo doll. A Bobo doll is a toy that gets up by itself after it
is knocked down.
Why did Bandura Study this?
Bandura and his colleagues, the scientists of the Bobo Doll Experiment, believed there was some
reason children learned the behaviors that was important to them in their lives. Bandura anticipated
that children that viewed aggressive models would behave in a similar fashion as the model and those
that had non aggressive models would behave in the same fashion and not have aggressive actions
(Green, 1961). The purpose of this experiment was to demonstrate one of the ways children learned
aggression. The researchers were hoping to find the proof that children learned aggression from
viewing it by another person.
What did the Researchers do Who was Involved?
The researches of this experiment used a lab experiment. They gathered the participants that fit their
needs for the information needed for the experiment to get accurate results. The researchers
accumulated 36 boys and 36 girls, ages 37 to 69 months. There were also two adults involved, male
and female. Twenty four of the children had an aggressive male and female role model. Twenty four of
the children had a non aggressive male and female role model. The last twenty four

How Did Ancient Romans Use Of Board Games
Ancient Rome may have had some gruesome games and activities, but the way they spent their time is
not all that different from some of the activities we take part in today. For example, they played board
games similar to the ones we might play today, participated in sports and other physical activities. For
pastimes they also watched shows in large stadiums and even plays in theaters. Even though we would
watch football games while they would watch deadly gladiator fights, when comparing the two
civilizations we can see that there are many similarities. Through music, dancing or maybe even
hunting and fishing they also revolutionized the way we might take part in the activities today. They
also may have influenced what we know about these particular activities and maybe some of the rules
that we follow today when playing these sports and pastimes
First, board games were popular in ancient Rome like they are today, and they may have even
participated in some of the games we do, like chess and checkers. They even branched out from their
familiar Roman games into foreign Greek, Egyptian, and African games. Ancient Romans played a
wide variety of board games, including dice (Tesserae), Knucklebones (Tali or Tropa) Roman chess
(Latrunculi), Roman checkers (calculí), Tic tac Toe (Terni Lapilli), and Roman backgammon (Tabula).
according to Athletics, Leisure, and Entertainment in Ancient Rome,Fife, Steven). So we can see that
besides sharing the same activities, the Romans

Letter From The Fringe
Robin Williams once said No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world. This
quote shows that when someone says something to you either nice or not, it can change a person s
thought about themselves. Just like the character Sally. A Letter from the Fringe (Joan Bauer) tells
about a girl named Sally that got bullied and was made fun of because of her weight. Towards the
middle of the story you can see that Sally was changing she was more upset about herself wanted to
lose weight then to enjoy food. But as we get into the end of the story you can see that she changed
and was happy about herself again and that being different was okay. Joan Bauer short story A letter
from the Fringe uses the Fringes table to separate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She tried to hide it on the outside but was really hurt on the inside. For example in the text it states,
But more important, said Ed Looper, plunking his lunch tray down, is you can t seem like a victim. I
don t seem like a victim! Sally insisted. She did, though. Bad posture. Flitting eye contact. Mumbles a
lot. These examples supports the topic because it shows that Sally was really hurt and trying to make it
like nothing ever happened between Booker and her. This also supports this paragraph because she
changed to a very happy person in the beginning and now upset and feels like she needs to lose
weight. My second example is, that she is too upset to talk to anyone around her. For example in the
text it states, I just want to ignore those people, she said sadly to the group. Can you do it, though? I
asked her. She shrugged, mumbled, looked down. This shows that the bullying really got to her and
she feels like she doesn t have anybody standing next to her to help and support her. She also feels that
if she won t talk to them nothing will ever happen to her again if she doesn t do anything and lay eye
contact. In conclusion, this shows how upset Sally is in the middle of the story and shows that she
doesn t feels part of anything

Environmental And Organizational Factors Of The Global...
Environmental and Organizational Factors
The global business environment is constantly changing. In order for organizations to stay competitive
and successful they need to be able to adapt to those changes accordingly. The biggest factors that
affect organizations are social, economic, and technological. This paper will look at each of these
factors and describe the current major issues surrounding them as well as provide strategies Ellard
Williams, Incorporated can use to take advantage of these factors.
Major Issues Impacting Manufacturing
The manufacturing industry and marketplace are changing. Globalization is playing a major role in the
success or failure of any manufacturing firm in today s marketplace. To stay competitive, ... Show

More people are using social media and organizations can use these websites to advertise and increase
brand awareness to attract more customers (logofatu, 2014).
Economic
Globalization is the one of the biggest economical issue a manufacturing firm will encounter in the
next couple years. Changing consumption patterns, low labor costs in less developed countries, and
growing energy dependency all affect how successful an organization will be in the global market
(akyelken keller, 2014). Consumers follow trends and with those trends, organizations are subject to
success or failure depending on if they can change and adapt to those new trends. Being able to
produce products consumers want is important for a manufacturing firm. Labor costs are generally
cheaper in less developed countries, enticing firms to outsource production outside of the United
States (akyelken keller, 2014). This makes it harder for manufacturing firms to gain new clients and
keep employees satisfied. Along with labor costs, energy dependency on fuel from other countries
affects an organization as well (akyelken keller, 2014). As prices increase for imported fuel, a
manufacturing firms profits go down.
Technological
Technological advances have changed drastically from just a couple years ago. Adopting newer
technologies can give a manufacturing firm a sustainable competitive advantage over their
competitors (jin, ragu nathan, vonderembse, 2013). Benefits from adopting new

Theatre Reflection Paper
Entry One: In order for you to understand my current situation and life, it is imperative you know the
backstory. Though far from glamorous, my past has greatly shaped the woman and leader I am today.
Born to a peasant mother and bear trainer father in Constantinople, my opportunities were limited.
Advancing in social class was not an option in this human jungle and my family s main goal was
survival. Once my father died, it became my older sister s and my responsibility to provide for our
family. Comito travelled through local theater s performing but I lacked the talent to dance or sing so
my roles were only as minor characters. Eventually, I gained popularity from my wit and charisma on
the stage and began performing on my own, though my shows were notoriously daring [and]
immodest. My success in the theater became success as a courtesan as those roles often went hand in
hand. I was highly paid for my supper parties. 3 I did not enjoy this humiliating job, but my lifestyle
was not unique. As a family of women, work was highly limited and often times prostitution was the
only option. Eventually I met Hecebolus and left my work as a courtesan and followed him to Tyre. I
assumed I had escaped my previous life of selling my body and performing on stage when I moved in
with Hecebolus but the liberation was short lived. Following an argument, I was on the street and once
again on my own forced to support myself in the only way I knew how. Alone in a foreign

Examples Of Betrayal In A Yellow Raft On Blue Water
A familial bond cannot be broken. As genetics pass from one end of the family tree to another, a series
of exchanged physical and more significant in terms of the story behavioral traits, moreover, make
themselves apparent. From each member of the complicated maternal chain consisting of three
narrators, their behavioral traits and tendencies are easily taken advantage of, along with making them
prone to grievous mistakes and overall actions. The topics of betrayal and subsequent neglect are
present in an almost unavoidable continuous cycle throughout Michael Dorris A Yellow Raft on Blue
Water, as each generation of women faced a series of abrupt and unforeseen deceptions by those either
in an influential position in their lives or those possessing their trust, leading to damaged and
unresolved relationships. Beginning with the complexities of Ida s family including her nuclear family
with the addition of her aunt Clara and her social life and later relationships, the eldest most narrator
recalled her perspective of the significant events of the early to mid chapter of her lifetime and the
outcomes of her relationships within. Almost directly after being introduced to Ida s point of view, it is
revealed that her aunt and best friend, Clara had, through the duration of her sister s Ida s mother
illness, been impregnated with the child of her brother in law Ida s father. The impending child was to

Light microscopic results
The cerebellar cortex of control adult rats showed that the architecture of the cerebellum with H E was
made up of molecular, Purkinje cells and granular layers. The molecular layer was formed mainly of
fibers with a few glial cells [basket cells (BC) and stellate cells (SC)].
Purkinje cells were arranged in one row and appeared pyriform in shape. The granular layer showed
tightly packed small rounded cells (Fig. 1). With toluidine blue (semithin sections), the cerebellar
cortex showed molecular, Purkinje cells and granular layers. Purkinje cells were of large pyriform
somata with clear vesicular nuclei and prominent nucleoli along the outer margin of the granular layer

The Pros And Cons Of AI And AI
The phenomena of computers have most certainly become an indispensable part of everyday life and
have inevitably revolutionized the way in which we live. Although their presence is made visible in
the small everyday aspects of life, computers more often than not mark their presence in the fields of
mathematics and science, where numbers become the language in storing and working with vast
quantitative data and information. It can then be said that in crunching numbers and processing such
vast information, computers are able to exhibit forms of knowing and understanding. Does this mean
then, that due their ability to process such large amounts of data, computers are able to attain a degree
of knowledge and understanding which far surpasses the human mind? While there may be numerous
and varying views to this claim, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is true that some Al programs are more flexible, with recent innovations regarding abilities of
knowing, reasoning and natural language processing and that of ASIMO, wherein an AI is able to
formulate a method as to how it would walk up a ramp. However, this may not exactly mean a higher
form of intelligence than that of a human s, as even if the AI is able to further evolve, it might not
necessarily mean that it would be able to gain the intelligence of an adult human. Human intelligence,
after all, cannot be defined by mere programming and algorithm. Thus, it could perhaps be said that
the AI lacks the ability to fully rationalize and reflect on its decisions. Therefore, as computers, and
ultimately AI are designed and programmed in a systematic way, they are in a sense still not fully

Why Is Ice Hockey Important To Me
Although my life to date has been focused mainly on my academics, I have done the best I can to keep
myself well rounded. Growing up I was fortunate to partake in team sports, learning to play a musical
instrument, and learn the martial arts of Taekwondo.
One of my greatest pastimes is ice hockey. I was particularly fond of the goal tending position. I was a
goaltender for 10 years until I started college, then my goals and priorities seemed to change. Overall
my experience playing a team sport has helped me learn about trust and camaraderie. These are just a
few qualities that I expect would help me become a better healthcare professional.
Like most during grade school, I was exposed to a number of different musical instruments. My older

  • 2. T-Shirts form Lubbok It is very likely that our T shirts are born near Lubbock, Texas, which is the known to be the cottonest city in the whole world. Nelson Reinsch is a very successful cotton farmer. Him and his wife Ruth tend to be seen as people whose minds are opening rather than closing as they approach the ends of their lives. Producing cotton is no longer the exhausting physical process that it used to be, but Nelson and Ruth still fight both the impulses of nature and the moods of the markets. Every summer, they take on the different types of weathers they have to face and compete with cotton farmers from over 70 countries. Nelson Reinsch 1,000 acres can produce about 500,000 pounds of cotton lint if it is fully planted, which is enough for about 1.3 million T shirts. Him ending his life in the same occupation that he began with makes a clear statement about the U.S. cotton industry. For over 200 years, The U.S. has been the certain leader of the global cotton industry. Poor countries have a very small chance to catch up with all the challenges they face. The U.S. has dominantly occupied first place in cotton production, cotton exports, farm size, and yields per acre. American industries usually compete with countries that are similar to them. For example, U.S. forms compete with Japanese automakers, German chemical companies, and Swiss pharmaceuticals. For climatic reasons, there are few advanced industrial economies that produce cotton. American cotton growers compete with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In this essay I will be presenting the many factors that are included in a killer whale such as, stereotypes, intelligence, foraging and feeding, living in groups, different types, appearance, and their life cycle. Mammal eating killer whales typically travel in much smaller groups then fish eating whales, presumably because there is some advantage to doing so. For killer whales hunting harbor seals, individual food intake rates are highest for individuals in groups of three, that is, three appears to be an optimal group size for foraging. Killer whales generally choose to attack young or weak animals, however a group of five or more may attack a healthy adult. Killer whales work together to force the fish from deep water up to near the surface where they are easier to catch. Killer whales are highly social; some populations are composed of matrilineal family groups, which are the most stable of any animal group. Another commonly cited example of a benefit group living for various species of whales or dolphins is babysitting or allomothering. The killer whale consists of three different types of ... Plato The Shackles In Book 1 of Plato s The Republic, Socrates asks Cephalus about the difficulty of old age, as Cephalus has reached the threshold of death and is therefore suited to speak upon age. Cephalus explains that older people tend to be more peaceful because youthful desires like sex, partying, and drinking constrain many people to temporal pleasure, but age releases them from those shackles. These youthful desires are later treated as shackles that constrain many people to temporal pleasures. By introducing these metaphorical shackles in the first discussion of The Republic, Plato foreshadows and parallels the cave allegory that appears in Book 7 (Plato 3). In the cave allegory, people are chained inside a cave and their knowledge is limited to only what they can see: the images of shadows casted by statues. Love and Death in Love in the Time of Cholera For readers familiar with Love in the Time of Cholera, the themes of love and death would be constantly visited and revisited again by Gabriel Garcia Marquez in his novel, with a tad of heavy reliance on the cholera pandemic (as the title suggests not so subtly) and going so far as to intertwine them into a single notion (more often than not) throughout. Such a combination (and comparison) is most visible in Florentino, and helps shapes our emotions and thoughts about him as a character. Yet, in seeing how the author allows these themes to interact as merely a vehicle to power his characters and novel would be too simplistic an idea; instead, one should perhaps consider the alternative viewpoints of these themes addressing deeper concerns ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this instance, love, like cholera, produces an actual physical illness in Florentino which, at the same time inflicts him mentally, eventually consuming him wholly, as we would learn through the course of the novel. This illness can be read from his eating of gardenias and drinking of cologne so that he can know Fermina s taste. This episode also sets the comparison of Florentino s love to that of flowers in the Love in the Time of Cholera where his ingestion of these flowers could be seen as a symbolism of him ingesting Fermina s affections, and one which render him violently ill, just like how this love brings upon him both mental and physical anguish and suffering. Like the ravages of cholera which, at the turn of the century, spelt certain death (with no cure known yet), love had been similarly portrayed as such by Marquez in his novel. More importantly, the wrong diagnosis of cholera in this chapter foreshadows the conclusion of the novel, as we would come to learn of later. Reading the novel from henceforth, however, readers are introduced to a new angle of death and love by Marquez. While it would be too simplistic to summarize the third chapter as just Florentino bidding his time to declare his love for Fermina again, it also, once again, brings forth the notion of aging (as first seen in Saint Amour s letter) and death, associated with love. My second example is, that she is too upset to talk to anyone around her. For example in the text it states, I just want to ignore those people, she said sadly to the group. Can you do it, though? I asked her. She shrugged, mumbled, looked down. This shows that the bullying really got to her and she feels like she doesn t have anybody standing next to her to help and support her. She also feels that if she won t talk to them nothing will ever happen to her again if she doesn t do anything and lay eye contact. In conclusion, this shows how upset Sally is in the middle of the story and shows that she doesn t feels part of anything ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

More people are using social media and organizations can use these websites to advertise and increase brand awareness to attract more customers (logofatu, 2014). Economic Globalization is the one of the biggest economical issue a manufacturing firm will encounter in the next couple years. Changing consumption patterns, low labor costs in less developed countries, and growing energy dependency all affect how successful an organization will be in the global market (akyelken keller, 2014). Consumers follow trends and with those trends, organizations are subject to success or failure depending on if they can change and adapt to those new trends. Being able to produce products consumers want is important for a manufacturing firm. Labor costs are generally cheaper in less developed countries, enticing firms to outsource production outside of the United States (akyelken keller, 2014). This makes it harder for manufacturing firms to gain new clients and keep employees satisfied. Along with labor costs, energy dependency on fuel from other countries affects an organization as well (akyelken keller, 2014). As prices increase for imported fuel, a manufacturing firms profits go down. Technological Technological advances have changed drastically from just a couple years ago. Adopting newer technologies can give a manufacturing firm a sustainable competitive advantage over their competitors (jin, ragu nathan, vonderembse, 2013). Benefits from adopting new ... • 26. Theatre Reflection Paper Entry One: In order for you to understand my current situation and life, it is imperative you know the backstory. Though far from glamorous, my past has greatly shaped the woman and leader I am today. Born to a peasant mother and bear trainer father in Constantinople, my opportunities were limited. Advancing in social class was not an option in this human jungle and my family s main goal was survival. Once my father died, it became my older sister s and my responsibility to provide for our family. Comito travelled through local theater s performing but I lacked the talent to dance or sing so my roles were only as minor characters. Eventually, I gained popularity from my wit and charisma on the stage and began performing on my own, though my shows were notoriously daring [and] immodest. My success in the theater became success as a courtesan as those roles often went hand in hand. I was highly paid for my supper parties. 3 I did not enjoy this humiliating job, but my lifestyle was not unique. As a family of women, work was highly limited and often times prostitution was the only option. Eventually I met Hecebolus and left my work as a courtesan and followed him to Tyre. I assumed I had escaped my previous life of selling my body and performing on stage when I moved in with Hecebolus but the liberation was short lived. Following an argument, I was on the street and once again on my own forced to support myself in the only way I knew how. Alone in a foreign ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 29. Purkindule Cell Membrane Analysis Results Light microscopic results The cerebellar cortex of control adult rats showed that the architecture of the cerebellum with H E was made up of molecular, Purkinje cells and granular layers. The molecular layer was formed mainly of fibers with a few glial cells [basket cells (BC) and stellate cells (SC)]. Purkinje cells were arranged in one row and appeared pyriform in shape. The granular layer showed tightly packed small rounded cells (Fig. 1). With toluidine blue (semithin sections), the cerebellar cortex showed molecular, Purkinje cells and granular layers. Purkinje cells were of large pyriform somata with clear vesicular nuclei and prominent nucleoli along the outer margin of the granular layer (Fig. 2). Immunohistochemical staining ... • 30. The Pros And Cons Of AI And AI The phenomena of computers have most certainly become an indispensable part of everyday life and have inevitably revolutionized the way in which we live. Although their presence is made visible in the small everyday aspects of life, computers more often than not mark their presence in the fields of mathematics and science, where numbers become the language in storing and working with vast quantitative data and information. It can then be said that in crunching numbers and processing such vast information, computers are able to exhibit forms of knowing and understanding. Does this mean then, that due their ability to process such large amounts of data, computers are able to attain a degree of knowledge and understanding which far surpasses the human mind? While there may be numerous and varying views to this claim, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is true that some Al programs are more flexible, with recent innovations regarding abilities of knowing, reasoning and natural language processing and that of ASIMO, wherein an AI is able to formulate a method as to how it would walk up a ramp. However, this may not exactly mean a higher form of intelligence than that of a human s, as even if the AI is able to further evolve, it might not necessarily mean that it would be able to gain the intelligence of an adult human. Human intelligence, after all, cannot be defined by mere programming and algorithm. Thus, it could perhaps be said that the AI lacks the ability to fully rationalize and reflect on its decisions. Therefore, as computers, and ultimately AI are designed and programmed in a systematic way, they are in a sense still not fully ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Growing up I was fortunate to partake in team sports, learning to play a musical instrument, and learn the martial arts of Taekwondo. One of my greatest pastimes is ice hockey. I was particularly fond of the goal tending position. I was a goaltender for 10 years until I started college, then my goals and priorities seemed to change. Overall my experience playing a team sport has helped me learn about trust and camaraderie. These are just a few qualities that I expect would help me become a better healthcare professional.
