Are Prozac And Similar Antidepressants Safe And Effective...
Are Prozac and similar antidepressants safe and effective for children and adolescents?
Approximately ten percent of our youth suffer from a deppresive/anxiety disorder. The youth of
our society are being treated with anti depressants such as prozac; which, carry a black box
warning. The FDA has required that boxed warnings be placed on all antidepressant medications
warning they may result in increased risk of suicidal tendencies in children, and young adults
aged 18 24 years old. The black box warning is the highest warning that can labeled on any
medication. It means there has been significant research completed to show a legitimate concern
for the well being of the population who is prescribed the medication. It is scientifically proven
that children s bodies do not absorb and process drugs the same way that a fully grown adult can,
and their brains may critically be affected as well. Society, parents, doctors and adolescence
themselves are forced to make; what could be, a life changing decision on whether to medicate
with the potential for disaster or not medicate and allow the child to continue suffering from a
psychological disorder. It is clear that both the risks of medicating and not medicating are
suggestively the greatest during the early years of life. The question that arises is whether we
should or shouldn t take the risk. A child s response to a medication cannot be determined with one
hundred percent certainty. It is very difficult to isolate

The Pros And Cons Of The FDA
For producers of food animals in the United States this year is not going to be the same as any
other year in the past. Why, you may ask? The Food and Drug Administration created stricter
guidelines to the Veterinary Feed Directive. For example, any beef producer has used or heard
of MGA in their lifetime. Many producers just order MGA, mix it with the feed and feed it.
MGA is used to synchronize heifers or to prevent heifers from coming into heat in the feedlot so
they don t waste energy while in heat. Producers are now going to have to take extra steps to get
the antibiotics they need for their heard. This is going to affect almost all producers of food
animals, large and small. The FDA is going to have to teach and inform producers about how what
and why this is put into effect. FDA and researchers are going to have to explain to and keep
producers up to date with information like the following.
What is the FDA and what does it do you may ask? The FDA stands for Food and Drug
Administration. They are responsible for protecting the public s health, and ensure the safety and
security of human and veterinary dugs. They also regulate the making, selling and distribution of
products. The FDA regulates many things including foods, like additives and supplements, drugs,

There is a continuing concern in the United States is bacterial resistance to antibiotics. The
government continues to research and analyze the use of antibiotics in animals and humans. It is
not a fact that the use of antibiotics in animals cause resistance in humans. Antibiotics are a
necessity in the production of food animals therefore if they completely band antibiotics it would
put animal welfare and food safety at a large risk. By implementing the VFD the government can
assure people that farmers and ranchers are using antibiotics

The Rise of Islamic Fundamentalism in Iran Essay
The Rise of Islamic Fundamentalism in Iran
Over the course of the last century, the Islamic Republic of Iran (formerly known as Persia) has
seen colonialism, the end of a dynasty, the installation of a government by a foreign power, and
just over three decades ago, the popular uprising and a cleric led revolution. These events preceded
what could be considered the world s first Islamic state, as politics and fundamentalist religion are
inextricably linked in contemporary Iran. Looking at Iran from the mid 1940 s until the present day,
one can trace the path that led to the rise of fundamental Islam in Iran in three distinct periods. The
first is that which began with the rise of secular nationalism and the decline of Islam. In ... Show

In a classic case of western countries meddling in the foreign affairs of a sovereign nation for their
own national interests, the American CIA and British intelligence conspired to topple the
democratically elected government in 1953. They succeeded in restoring the exiled Pahlavi dynasty
to power by installing Reza Shah Pahlavi s son, Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi as the Shah of
Iran. After taking office, Muhammad Reza Shah Pahlavi continued and expanded upon a policy of
westernization begun by his father and aggressively repressed Iran s fundamental Islamists to
consolidate his power. The Pahlavi dynasty s restoration fostered anger among the citizens, as
Muhammad Reza Shah Pahlavi was seen as a western puppet and therefore a more contemporary
extension of the humiliating colonialism endured at the hands of the west. Fostering women s
rights, western dress, toleration of alcohol and the suppression of Islamic customs, traditions and
clothing all served to earn him the ire of the general population and Islamic clerics. Milton
Edwards (2006) referred to this accelerated secularism (p. 37) as being part of the erosion of
religious elements in Iran. Muhammad Reza Shah Pahlavi thought himself loved by the people, but
popular sentiment was against him; and completely behind an exiled Iranian cleric living in Paris
named Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. Ayatollah Khomeini had been writing papers

Chivalric Code In Sir Gawain And The Green Knight
Chivalric code was like the federal system in the medieval times. Some of the chivalry codes were
loyalty, courage, and honour, these were some of the ideal qualities expected in a knight. knights
had to respect their religion , respect women and their king. Some of these codes were portrayed in
monty python .
One of the powerful codes of chivalry is loyalty. Lancelot refuses to fight with arthur even when the
king invades his property. In sir gawain and the green knight , sir gawain shows loyalty with the
king s wife. Lady bercilake attempts to sleep with gawain , but he continues to treat the king and
her with respect.

Ayn Rand s Use Of Rational Individualism In The...
In the novel, The Fountainhead, the author Ayn Rand introduces her philosophy of Objectivism as
Rational Individualism. Rational Individualism is the self realization of one s worth and how to
go about life in the most logical and beneficial way for one s own well being. In The Fountainhead,
the protagonist, Howard Roark, is depicted by Ayn Randas the epitome of objectivism. A common
theme that has been brought up multiple times throughout this novel and plays a major role in
understanding rational individualism, would be integrity. Through Howard Roark, Ayn Rand
demonstrates the difficulty that most find with relying on one s own integrity and not relying on
others to make choices for you; which ultimately shapes who you are as an individual. In this scene

A research specialist for the CDC, Dr. James Curran, stated in July of 1981 that no cases have
been reported to date outside the homosexual community or in women (Altman, 1981). That may
have been the case in that moment of time, but much changed over the course of only a few
months. Between July and December of 1981, another population was identified as suffering
from the illness that had no name. This was the population of injecting drug users (IDU) and it
was no longer limited to the United States, as Great Britain had its first reported case in that
same month (AVERT, 2015). With the HIV/AIDS outbreak achieving a trans continental status,
efforts were ramped up to identify the source of transmission. By the end of 1982, reports of
cases with similar symptoms were coming from several European countries, Uganda, and Haiti
which reflected the widespread nature of the situation (AVERT, 2015). In just one year, the
number of cases reported in the United States alone went from 41 to 452 and from just 2 states
affected to 23 (CDC, 2015). It became a global health concern due to the wasting effects and
rapidity of onset to death. Finally identified as being a blood borne pathogen, AIDS became the
name and transmission linked to exposure to blood by sexual relations, needle sharing, and even
blood transfusion. By October 1983, the World Health

A Vindication Of The Rights Of Women By Mary Wollstonecraft
I have a profound conviction that women are rendered weak and wretched, especially by a false
system of education, gathered from books written by men who have been more anxious to make
women alluring mistresses than rational wives. (Mary Wollstonecraft. A Vindication of the Rights
of Woman.) Mary Wollstonecraft s main argument was to denounce the unfair treatment that many
women had to endure since the moment of their birth being object of segregation from mainly
men and all of society as they were viewed as only trophies to accompany men and to be stay at
home mothers. We can consider Wollstonecraft to be a pioneer of feminism this book being a
response to Jean Jacques Rousseaus Declaration of the Rights of Men and of Citizens where he
clearly excludes women.
Having been a victim of the same segregation is what maked Wollstonecraft so passionate about
this subject. These writings are a reflection of the conditions of her own life having had a hard
upbringing, being abused by her father and sustaining hard situations in an unfortunate life. More
than an gender feminism she worked towards equal opportunity as a result of living in a society that
did not offer that. Wollstonecraft mainly writes a controversy and presents a resistance towards the
works of other authors, those being men. She addresses her ideas to those contrary of men who
thought that a woman should not be educated and if so only a domestic education as did M.

The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao Museum
The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao
Before the mid twentieth century, museums in Europe and the United States were generally
planned in variations of the neoclassical style. But, the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao moved the
heading of gallery outlines, which gave an extensive show venue to twentieth century and modern
art, designed by the famous architect Frank Gehry. Architecture is important nowadays to the
public, because it offers a physical surrounding environment in where we live in. Moreover,
architecture is not only affected by the culture, but also by the economy of the country.
Frank Gehry is one of the handful modern architects that are worldwide known by his inventive and
pioneering work. The American Canadian architect was born Frank Owen Goldberg in Toronto,
Canada on February 28, 1929, based in Los Angeles since 1962. He studied architecture at the
University of Southern California and city planning in Harvard University. Gehry is known for his
postmodern structures and unusual inventions. His most popular buildings include the
Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain and the Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles.
The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is a museum that represents modern and contemporary art. Its
story first begins when Thomas Krens the director of Solomon R. Guggenheim foundation in New
York City, was looking for a museum location in Europe. He chose the industrial wasteland in the
middle of the city on a curve of the Nervion River. The site was located in the center of

Jainism Is An Environmentally Responsible Way Of Life
Mahavira said, All of life is just like me. I want to live. So do all souls, all living beings. The
instinct of self preservation is universal. Every animate being clings to life and fears death. Each
of us wants to be free from pain. So let me carry out all of my activities with great care not to be
harmful to any living being (as cited in Rosenfield Segall). Jainismis an ecologically responsible
way of life, which is non violent in thoughts, actions, and deeds (Pecorino, 2001). The heart of
Jainism is to live and practice ahimsa. This is the action by which all actions are judged (ahimsa|
Britannica.com, 2015). The Golden Rule, if you will. The Jain s believe that life is eternal. That
all living souls have the potential of attaining enlightenment and immortality (Raghuram, 2004). If
you interrupt the spiritual progress or jiva of an insect, animal, plant or person, you will incur
karma (ahimsa | Britannica.com, 2015). Your karma will affect your samsara, and will determine
your next incarnation. The purpose in one s life is to attain liberation from the samsara cycle. Why
are we drawn to the many different facets of violencethat we experience in our lives? Is violence a
learned behavior or has it become a part of our evolutionary progression. As hunters and gatherers,
we used violence for survival. Now, it seems that humans react with violence to resolve multiple
types of conflict. Is it just primal instinct? Does our subconscious fight or flight control the way

Playoff opponents are like ice cream flavors. They re all good, each with its own distinctive
strength.
The New York Giants have four potential opponents in the wild card round of the postseason: the
Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks. All are dangerous. All are
winning teams deserving of their playoff position.
Eli Manning will take whatever playoff matchup the Giants get, but he d be wise to root for
something other than a visit to Seattle. Al Bello/Getty Images
The Giants already have faced two, beating the Lions at MetLife Stadium late in the season and
losing to the Packers at Lambeau Field early in the season. That factors into the equation of best
and worst matchups for Big Blue in the opening round of the postseason. So should the current form
of each team and its health.
Locked in as the No. 5 seed, the Giants are going to play the division winner with the worst record
in the NFC on the road. That doesn t necessarily mean they will play the worst division winner or
the opponent that gives them the best chance to win. Matchups are everything this time of year.
Some stadiums are more hostile environments than others. Seattle falls into that category.
Here is how I rank the potential opponents, in terms of which team the Giants should most want to
face in their first

Abraham Lincoln is the greatest president ever because he did great things such as ending slavery,

was a war
between the Southern states and the Confederate states. Abraham Lincolnwas not very prepared for

The Gettysburg Address is one of the best known speeches in U.S history. The speech was given
during the Civil War on November 19, 1863. In the address Lincoln expressed the equality of
people and referring to the Declaration of Independence. He described the Civil War as a new birth
of freedom , that would in the end bring peace and equality among U.S citizens. Another
achievement accomplished by the great Abraham Lincoln was the Thirteenth Amendment. The
Thirteenth Amendment was passed in 1864 and officially ended slavery. The Emancipation
Proclamation freed all African American slaves and only ended slavery in the ten confederate states.
The passing of the Thirteenth Amendment abolished slavery in the states that rebelled the
proclamation. The Thirteenth Amendment was also the first of the Reconstruction Amendments.
The Reconstruction Amendments are the Thirteenth , Fourteenth, and Fifteenth amendment to the
constitution. These amendments helped shape the American south after the war. The Thirteenth

Discussion of Legalization of Drugs Essay
Discussion of Legalization of Drugs
In modern society, nowadays, there is a large debate on whether the drugs should be legalized.
Under this topic, each of us has a different value, so we may not come up with the same position,
but people probably just consider the word legalize and ignore the source of this debate. What are
drugs? Why is it illicit to use drugs?
First of all, what do drugs exactly mean to people? This is fundamental to understand their potential
abuse.
A psychoactive substance is something that people take to change the way they feel, think or
behave. Some of these substances are called drugs, and others, like alcohol and tobacco, are

Stimulants can give rise to symptoms suggestive of intoxication, including tachycardia, pupillary
dilation, elevated blood pressure and nausea or vomiting. They can also cause violent and
aggressive behaviour, agitation and impaired judgement. A full blown delusional psychosis may
occur. Hallucinogens are chemically diverse and produce profound mental changes such as
euphoria, anxiety, sensory distortion, vivid hallucinations, delusion, paranoia and depression. These
include mescaline and marijuana.[2]
Drugs abuse can be harmful in a number of ways, both through immediate effects and through
damage to health over time. Such as during pregnancy, the use of drugs can threaten the health of
both the mother and her baby, and it is more likely to increase the infant mortality. Of course, the
effects depend on the drug and on the amount, method and frequency of use. Some drugs are very
addictive, like heroin, while others are less so. But the upshot is that regular drug abuse or
sustained exposure to a drug even for a short period of time can cause physiological dependence,
which means that when the person stops taking drugs, they experience physical withdrawal
symptoms and a craving for the drug.
According to scientists different drugs can harm human body quite differently. For instance,
hallucinogens, like phencyclidine, distort users

Unit 731 Research
Unit 731: Epidemic Prevention and Water Purification Department of the Kwantung Army Unit 731
was a research team under the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. Their main facilities
were set up in 1938 in the northeastern region of China known as Manchuria, which was under
Japanese occupation at the time. Led by Lieutenant Shiro Ishii, this unit focused on researching the
usage of biological weapons, although the use of such weapons was prohibited under the Geneva
Protocol. The research here was typically conducted on live human subjects, mostly Chinese locals.
Some of the experiments performed included infecting patients with diseases, then vivisecting them
without the use of anesthesia to study how their internal organs had broken down from the diseases.
Other experiments tested the effects of certain environmental conditions, including extremely cold
temperatures and high pressure. The tests were not confined to the prisoners in the unit s facilities,
as the Japanese army poisoned wells and released plague carrying fleas into Chinese cities
(Frischknecht, 2003). When Japan surrendered, the soldiers at the facilities shot the remaining
prisoners, most of the buildings were destroyed, and all the researchers were sworn to silence....

New Economic Imperialism Essay example
New Economic Imperialism
Those in power define national interests as the preservation of the existing set of economic, social,
and political relationships. Therefore, the national interest of the supranational capitalist society is
the interests of the upper class, allied throughout the globe. The United States capitalist class has
proposed to preserve and extend U.S. capitalism by a policy of empire building to satisfy the need
for large export markets that could supply cheap inputs and guarantee consumption.
The road to the current economic imperial structure prevalent in international affairs is a long and
complicated one. During the twentieth century the capitalist elite began forming organizations in ...

Similarities Between The Matrix And Plato s Analogy Of The...
In contemporary society acceptance of illusion is commonplace. The majority of the world s
populace lives in a world of virtual reality as an escape from the truths of reality. Their senses are
no longer their own since they have been brainwashed by the media (agents) instructing them as to
what they should wear, what they should buy and where they should buy, how they should feel,

socialistic ideology. It is not surprising that sci fi dystopian films such as the Matrixhave been

The Matrix and Plato s analogy of the cave share the two world theory of the illusionary world
and the ideal world with a mutual goal of liberation. In Plato s allegory of the cave, men are
shackled by the neck, hands, and legs from birth; prisoners of a controlled environment subjected
to the phantoms on the cave walls. The cave represents the sensory world and the world of ideas

reality believing the illusion created by the Matrix. In the Matrix, humans are confined within red

Maggie A Girl Of The Street Essay
Maggie a Girl of the Street is a classic novella written by Stephen Crane in 1893. It is a story filled
with irony, hypocrisy, and most importantly feminism. While the title of Crane s novel implies that
the story is going to focus on Maggie, it actually deals more directly with the Bowery, and how that
environment shapes those who reside there. The setting of the story plays a very important role in
this novella, not only is it responsible for shaping the characters in the story, it is also what creates
the aspects of ecofeminism that a frequently over looked within this story. Ecofeminism has been
defined as a movement that sees a connection between the exploitation and degradation of the
natural world and the subordination and oppression of women. We can see the earlier mentioned
irony, hypocrisy, biblical illusions, and feminism manifest into oppression of multiple characters
within the story, just as we can see the oppression in the environment they live in. Feminism... Show

Ecofeminism is a relatively new activist and academic movement. It focuses on critical connections
between the exploitation of women, and the domination of nature. It takes from the green
movement a concern about the impact of human activities on the non human world and from
feminism the view of humanity as gendered in ways that subordinate, exploit and oppress women.
(Feminism Ecology). Ecofeminism also suggests that women are in fact hurt more then men by
the exploitation of the earth, mainly because women are more vulnerable. The main focus of this
theory are women who are at a higher risk because they are suffering a type of double oppression,
be it race, education, poverty, or the nation they reside in. While ecofeminism does focus on nature
and women being equally oppressed, feminism in general plays a role in the creation and

Data Collection for the UCR, NIBRS, and NCVS
The Uniform Crime Reports collects reported crime data from the states law enforcement agencies
on Part I offenses: murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated
assault, burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft, arson, and local law enforcement agencies are also
required to provide additional details about a crime when it appears to be motivated by hate. Law
enforcement agencies are required to report only the most serious offense in a crime that involves
multiple offenses.
The National Incident Based Reporting System was begun as a collaboration between the
Department of Justice Bureau of Crime Statistics and the FBI as an enhancement to the Uniform
Crime Reports Crime Index. It collects data from local law enforcement agencies nationwide on
both incidents and arrests on 46 specific crimes in 22 offense categories.
The National Crime Victimization Survey collects data through victim surveys. The collected data
differs from the data collected by the UCR and NIBRS, as it includes both reported and unreported
crimes, counts each offense separately in crimes with multiple offenses, and includes details about
the crime, victim, and the victimizations as a result of the crime. The data collected differs from

the educational system. This assignment will focus on teachers as stakeholders in public school
districts. Demographic Description In the year of 2011, there were 3.2 million teachers who were
employed at public schools throughout the nation, which served close to 50 million children in
grades kindergarten through twelfth (Feistritzer, 2011). Currently, to be employed as a teacher in
the United States, one must obtain a Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university,
and be certificated in the state that one wishes to be employed. The certification serves as a
teaching credential, which is needed for teachers in all states. America has encountered a change
within the teaching profession: concerning, experience, age, credentials, and ethnic background
(Feistritzer, 2011). It is almost as if the year of 2005, overturned the trend of older employed
teachers (Feistritzer, 2011). A six year survey shows that the amount of teachers under the age of
thirty has increased drastically, and that most teachers have earned master degrees. Also, although
teaching has been a predominately white profession, more Hispanic and African American teachers
were hired between the years of 2005 and 2011 (Feistritzer, 2011). Role in Education Teachers have

Ms. Bauman There are some unbelievable philosophies. One of the unbelievable philosophies
would have to be Plotinus. According to page 133, Plotinus believed that the world is a span
between two poles. At one end is the divine light which he calls the One. Sometimes he calls it God.
At the other end is absolute darkness, which receives none of the light from the One. But Plotinus s
point is that this darkness actually has no existence. It is simply the absence of light in other words,
it is not. All that exists is God, or the One, but in the same way that a beam of light grows
progressively dimmer and is gradually extinguished, there is somewhat a point that the divine
glow cannot reach. Even though some scientists might disagree with this, but there is a God.
There is no poles that distinguish our own hell or heaven. We are given a current life span in this
Earth and if we follow His commandments and follow the Lord, we will go to Heaven. There is
no such thing as the pole theory involving heaven and hell. A believable philosophy would have to

Four Methods Of Job Design Essay
Four Methods of Job Design
Job specialization
Job specialization is one of methods of job design. The basic idea of job specialization is to get
the employee to stay on one specific task they are assigned do. As stated by Pride, Hughes and
Kapoor, job specialization is the segregation of all the organizational activities into individual tasks
and the allocation of different task to different people. (Pride, Hughes and Kapoor, 2013). For the
HR management to perform job specialization they will first have to start on an organizational
structure. Which is to determine each job, its purpose, and where it reports to in the organization.
This will allow a company to execute proper operation procedures and will help company attain
their aim. Benefits of job specialization include employee being able to master his task and quality
control cost is also lower to due to specialization (Study.com, 2015)
Job enlargement

employee a greater work load through a wide range of task performed at that level. According to ...

Job enrichment basically means to expand the employees work by increasing the range and
intricacy they are told to complete. According to Koontz, what job enrichment does is to inject
into jobs, more challenge and accomplishments (Koontz, 2010). One of the positive outcome of
job enrichment is employees are more motivated. This is because, with the company giving them
the chance to grow and upgrade themselves through job enrichment, they feel more motivated
knowing they are advancing. The task they are enforced with are made easy due to the increase
of skills level for the employee. However there are also it s limitations. Most of the employees do
not want the type of challenge or responsibility that it handed to them. After all, it is basic human

Ethical And Ethical Issues Of Business Ethics
The work of setting a positive ethical climate starts at the top of the organization as positive ethical
attitudes filter down to employees. Ferrell et al. (2015) states, the more employees perceive an
organization s ethical culture to be the less likely they are to make unethical decisions (p.134).
Business ethicsis not only about knowing what is right and wrong, or doing the right thing, ethics
involves acting with responsibility, being objective when making decisions, putting honesty in all
relationships, and maintaining employees fairness. According to Hughes, Ginnet, and Curpy
(2012), conflict over values can arise even when an organization has clearly published values
because leaders and employees have divergent perceptions of whether the leader s behavior
embodies important corporate values (p.177). Unfortunately, GM s ethical organizational culture
has been seriously disconnected from the policies stated in their company. In the past GM s
culture has favored cover up over openness and legal contemplation over customer safety. The
values embedded in GM s organization were not put into practice. Product defects were concealed
from top management as well as the public, not only hurting General Motor s reputation as a
quality customer driven culture, but also the owners of GM vehicles who were injured or died. A
culture of secrecy seemed ingrained at General Motors, which can be blamed on former CEO
leaders, the organizations structure, and organizational

The Debate Over The Dormant Commerce Clause Essay
Though there are a plethora of Supreme Court cases relying on the dormant Commerce Clause to
invalidate state laws in order to uphold a national free market, there is also a long history of
dissenting justices in dormant Commerce Clause cases. For instance, Justices Antonin Scalia and
Clarence Thomas commonly criticize the dormant Commerce Clausein their opinions. This lack of
cohesion among Justices over the very existence of the legal concept makes it challenging for states
to determine whether they are crafting Constitutional legislation and difficult for district and
appeals judges to decide cases.
The main criticisms of the dormant Commerce Clause include that the doctrine forces judicial
activism, leads to unpredictable results, and lacks a theoretical basis in the Constitution. Justice
Thomas stated that the doctrine requires the court to function more as legislator than as judges
because of the policy judgements that judges must do when weighing competing interests at stake.
Justice Scalia criticized the doctrine, stating that it has been inherently unpredictable unpredictable
not just because we have applied its standards poorly or inconsistently, but because it requires us
and the lower courts to accommodate, like a legislature, the inevitably shifting variables of a
national economy. Scalia was particularly critical . . . disparaging the lack of any clear theoretical
underpinning for the doctrine.
Despite criticisms of the dormant

They live in the bayou and swamps were fish, shellfish, and wild game are all over the place. The

Ethics plays an increasingly important role in business. A business is part of society and just as
society requires a certain standard of behaviour from individuals; it also expects businesses to

lead to dilemmas in the workplace. An example of this would be the professional duty to

behave in relation to their chosen careers. Doctors, Lawyers, accountants, engineers and other
professionals are expected to behave in certain ways or follow specific codes of conduct. This

Love is very prevalent throughout both the Old and New Testaments. Some can say it has
evolved, while others say it has only strengthened to be greater love for God s people. In the Old
Testament, there are around 12 various Hebrew words meant to recognize love. Each word also
has its own meaning for the context of which it is used. Romantic loveas is used as one of them. A
prime example includes Jacob and Laban. Jacob desired to marry Rachel because of her beauty and
requested to work for Laban for seven years in order to obtain her hand in marriage(Genesis 29).

The exposure of love is used in the Greek word Agape (Sakenfeld, 2006). Agapao is the verb

were not for this love, things would not be the way that they are today. The term also comprises
the conception of unrestricted love. The writings of the New Testament stood to strengthen the
idea of love from the Old Testament. It was always understood that man might and more than
likely would die for God. But the idea that God would die for man seemed to be unprecedented
and unheard of in the name of love. Love throughout both testaments is something that did evolve,

Tamela Mann great gospel singer and Lecrae a Christian Hip Hop artist. Both are very
inspirational to me as a person. I would love to talk about Tamela Mannand Lecrae background and
how they accomplish until now.
Tamela Mann was born on June 9, 1966, in Fort Worth, Texas and she the youngest siblings
throughout her family. Throughout her life, Mrs. Mann grew up in the church as she the youngest
one singing in the adult choir instantly knew her passion (Jones). When she moves forward as a
gospel singer at the same time she was acting in Tyler Perry s plays and movies. After a while,
during the Tyler Perry s plays when Tamela became an actor that when she first met her husband
David Mann. They both have four children are Joy, David Jr, Faith, and Tamer (Jones). Even
though Tamela Mann made it throughout her years when she was choir singer, actor, mother and
grandmother that doesn t mean she never stops working with her music. Tamela Mann wanted
everyone to know the true meaning of gospel through her music. She made the best songs or
album ever I wish I could name all the songs. However, I will point out two songs that everyone
knows throughout her career. The first one is Take me to Your King is one of the popular songs
because the song has been nominated for the Grammy, Top of the

Traditional Bullying and Cyberbullying
Generations after generations teens have used the actions of bullying to hurt others they felt as a
threat or to be in the in crowd of popularity. Traditional bullying was physical and thus confined to
face to face contexts. However, with the development of widespread social interaction via social
media websites, email, and text messaging, teens have additional avenues of expression and, as a
result, other means of bullying. Over time the bullying taking place using digital means has come to
be known as cyberbullying. Cyberbullying has brought the evilness out of teen s actions, words, and
thoughts whether they were the bully or the victim. Equally important, the ending results of these
actions, words and thoughts have brought death,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These examples are should be great examples and educational materials for teens to be
knowledgeable on and hopefully change the cyberbullying actions. In addition, parents need to take
steps for prevention against cyberbullying.
Parent s Role Common Sense Media conducted a study in 2009 and concluded that nationally
parents tend to underestimate the activity use children have on social networking sites (Holladay,
2011, p. 6 7). Due to this fact, many anti bullying organizations and foundations have created and
provided information and tips for parents on how to prevent the involvement in cyberbullying. For
example, Stopcyberbullying.org provides scenarios, how to report cyberbullying, tutorials,
definitions, etc. that is easy to understand and will help you create and comfortable atmosphere
when talking with children. Furthermore, parent should simply monitor their children s use of
social media websites and digital technology.
What can the schools do? Schools can respond to cyberbullying in two respective means
educationally and through legal considerations. From an educational stand point, schools should
have a clear and concise policy on what cyberbully and traditional bullying constitutes and how
staff will respond (Williamson, 2012, p. 2) In addition to this policy, schools are encourage to

Dennis Kozlowski s Leadership In Crisis
Tyco international is a corporation that was founded in 1960 Arthur J. Rosenberg. It began as an
investment and holding company that eventually expanded into Healthcare, Electrical and
Electronics, Specialty Products and Fire and Security Services. Tyco became a solid publically
traded company under its founder and leader Arthur J Rosenberg. Under his leadership, Tyco not
just expanded but grew that between 1973 and 1982 the company went from $34 million to 500
million in consolidated sales. (Ferrell, Fraedrich, Ferrell, 2011). The story of a leadership in crisis
reflects on the governance and unethical misconduct of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dennis
Kozlowski. Dennis Kozlowski entered the corporation in 1975 and at the time was under the
leadership of Joseph Gaziano. Dennis was mentored by Gaziano and was quite impressed by the
lavish, opulent and affluent lifestyle. In 1982 Gaziano passed away and John F. Fort III became
CEO. His leadership style was that of one that was quite frugal in his spending. This was a change
within the culture of Tyco as it moved in a new direction and Kozlowski had to adapt to the
changes. Fort Leadership and Managementstyle was to cut back on what he saw as wasteful
spending. He opposed the extravagance of that of his predecessor and directed the company focus
more towards making a profit for investors and shareholders. Kozlowski adapted to the changes
made by Fort and also supported the vision and new direction the

Analysis Of John Steinbeck s Of Mice And Men
The book that I am currently reading is a book by John Steinbeck which is called Of Mice and
Men. Lennie has interacted with others in this book by being sarcastic, clever, and funny towards
other people, unraveling the conflicts and the personal difficulties Lennie has had to go through
in his life, but he mostly interacts with George because he is his best friend and will never leave
his side. These interactions with others will unravel the author s purpose for writing this book
because the main character is very lonely and this book talks a lot about loneliness in my opinion.
An example of one of these conversations or interactions is in the first chapter and in the second
part. George unslung his bindle and dropped it gently on the bank.

Wooramaroo Personal And Community Identity
Place is important in relation to personal and community identity because where we live, in a
way defines us. If we live in the country, we can identify with tropes of bush living or a rural
lifestyle. If we are in the city, that place and cityscape can determine our way of life and sense of
belonging to that place.
Wooramaroo is the story told from the viewpoint of female protagonist Cara McGeever s ten year
old son, Scott, and their change of place as immigrants from inner city working class Liverpool to
Outback Australia in the 1970s.
The novels that have influenced my story are Mullumbimby, Breath, and Heat and Light. Cara
McGeever has suffered loss of place and identity through moving to Australia. Personal and
community identity through place will be discussed through female characters Jo Breen in
Mullumbimby, Eva Sanderson in Breath, and Pearl and Amy Kresinger in Heat and Light.
Life in rural Australian presents strong community spirit and opportunities for Cara to belong to
that space. Outback regions have a strong sense of place because their people experience
commonalities such as dealing with the vagaries of nature. As Tuan (2001, 131) states, Attachment
to place can emerge from the experience of nature s intransigence. The locals bond together in
time of need, as we see at the end when the storm comes to Wooramaroo. It is this vital connection
to the Outback that Cara needs in order to build a new identity, and find a new sense of place.
Tuan goes on to

Poverty Today s Day And Age Has Become More Common Than...
Poverty in today s day and age has become more common than ever before. Poverty involves not
being able to participate in activities that most other people are able to do (Raphael 2015, Lecture).
The topic of poverty connects with inequality, where living conditions produce material and social
deprivation that intensively threaten health and reduce the quality of life for an exclusive subset of
the population (Raphael 2011, preface). For children, this has been a disregarded subject and
deserves much more attention and consideration worldwide. In health, education, and material well
being, there comes this impression of children falling behind (Adamson 2010, p. 1). In a well
established country like Canada, the topic of poverty, as well... Show more content on

5). The second dimension of inequality is the inequality in young people s achievement through
their education (Adamson 2010, p. 9). The third dimension of inequality involves three
indicators that are used in children s self reported health complaints; healthy eating; and
frequency of vigorous physical activity (Adamson 2010, p. 13). Through economic causes, its
social costs and its possible remedies, inequality has become a major concern over the last three
decades (Adamson 2010, p. 3). Inequality is an example of the changes in both the ability and
effort it provides for further progress in all types of fields that engage in human endeavor
(Adamson 2010, p. 3). Before the economic crisis in 2008, surveys were conducted to measure
inequality and deploy data. Since well being has many dimensions, survey s were conducted
favoring multidimensional measurements (Adamson 2010, p. 3). In terms of measuring the gap,
based on the data that is available, there are two different methods that are used for approximating
how far behind children are being allowed to fall (Adamson 2010, p. 4). The first method compares
the child at the 10th percentile with the child at the 50th percentile. Then the degree of inequality is
measured by the gap in between these two individuals, and that is shown as a percentage of the
median position that exists. The second method compares the level of

Soviet economic and military support was crucial for Cuba. Soviet movements often aroused
strong disagreement from the United States. In 1962 the Soviet Union installed nuclear missile
bases in Cuba, the world stood at the brink of nuclear war as the U.S. government set up a naval
blockade of the island and demanded they remove the missiles. This was known as The Cuban
missile crisis.
Cuban Soviet relations slowly deteriorated as Soviet political, economic, and social policies were
liberalized in the late 80s. The Cuban government refused to modify its approach to social and
economic policy. In 1991 the Soviet Union dissolved and withdrew its troops and its economic
support. The already troubled Cuban economy suffered further from the loss of vital military and
economic support. With severe shortages, unrest and dissatisfaction growing, Castro declared a
special period in peacetime of food rationing and energy conservation. Shortages of food, fuel, and
medical supplies were intensified by the ongoing U.S. trade embargo in Cuba.
Aware of China s success with a more capitalistic limited market, Castro decided to experiment
with capitalism. In 1993, he granted Cubans limited freedom to open small for profit businesses
and allow foreign tourism, including U.S dollars. But economic reform bred demand for political
reforms. In 2003, Castro jailed many members from the Varela Project. A group who petitioned for
political reform,

  • 2. Are Prozac And Similar Antidepressants Safe And Effective... Are Prozac and similar antidepressants safe and effective for children and adolescents? Approximately ten percent of our youth suffer from a deppresive/anxiety disorder. The youth of our society are being treated with anti depressants such as prozac; which, carry a black box warning. The FDA has required that boxed warnings be placed on all antidepressant medications warning they may result in increased risk of suicidal tendencies in children, and young adults aged 18 24 years old. The black box warning is the highest warning that can labeled on any medication. It means there has been significant research completed to show a legitimate concern for the well being of the population who is prescribed the medication. It is scientifically proven that children s bodies do not absorb and process drugs the same way that a fully grown adult can, and their brains may critically be affected as well. Society, parents, doctors and adolescence themselves are forced to make; what could be, a life changing decision on whether to medicate with the potential for disaster or not medicate and allow the child to continue suffering from a psychological disorder. It is clear that both the risks of medicating and not medicating are suggestively the greatest during the early years of life. The question that arises is whether we should or shouldn t take the risk. A child s response to a medication cannot be determined with one hundred percent certainty. It is very difficult to isolate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Pros And Cons Of The FDA For producers of food animals in the United States this year is not going to be the same as any other year in the past. Why, you may ask? The Food and Drug Administration created stricter guidelines to the Veterinary Feed Directive. For example, any beef producer has used or heard of MGA in their lifetime. Many producers just order MGA, mix it with the feed and feed it. MGA is used to synchronize heifers or to prevent heifers from coming into heat in the feedlot so they don t waste energy while in heat. Producers are now going to have to take extra steps to get the antibiotics they need for their heard. This is going to affect almost all producers of food animals, large and small. The FDA is going to have to teach and inform producers about how what and why this is put into effect. FDA and researchers are going to have to explain to and keep producers up to date with information like the following. What is the FDA and what does it do you may ask? The FDA stands for Food and Drug Administration. They are responsible for protecting the public s health, and ensure the safety and security of human and veterinary dugs. They also regulate the making, selling and distribution of products. The FDA regulates many things including foods, like additives and supplements, drugs, both prescription and non prescription, biologics, like vaccines and blood products, ... • 4. The Rise of Islamic Fundamentalism in Iran Essay The Rise of Islamic Fundamentalism in Iran Over the course of the last century, the Islamic Republic of Iran (formerly known as Persia) has seen colonialism, the end of a dynasty, the installation of a government by a foreign power, and just over three decades ago, the popular uprising and a cleric led revolution. These events preceded what could be considered the world s first Islamic state, as politics and fundamentalist religion are inextricably linked in contemporary Iran. Looking at Iran from the mid 1940 s until the present day, one can trace the path that led to the rise of fundamental Islam in Iran in three distinct periods. The first is that which began with the rise of secular nationalism and the decline of Islam. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In a classic case of western countries meddling in the foreign affairs of a sovereign nation for their own national interests, the American CIA and British intelligence conspired to topple the democratically elected government in 1953. They succeeded in restoring the exiled Pahlavi dynasty to power by installing Reza Shah Pahlavi s son, Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi as the Shah of Iran. After taking office, Muhammad Reza Shah Pahlavi continued and expanded upon a policy of westernization begun by his father and aggressively repressed Iran s fundamental Islamists to consolidate his power. The Pahlavi dynasty s restoration fostered anger among the citizens, as Muhammad Reza Shah Pahlavi was seen as a western puppet and therefore a more contemporary extension of the humiliating colonialism endured at the hands of the west. Fostering women s rights, western dress, toleration of alcohol and the suppression of Islamic customs, traditions and clothing all served to earn him the ire of the general population and Islamic clerics. Milton Edwards (2006) referred to this accelerated secularism (p. 37) as being part of the erosion of religious elements in Iran. Muhammad Reza Shah Pahlavi thought himself loved by the people, but popular sentiment was against him; and completely behind an exiled Iranian cleric living in Paris named Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. A research specialist for the CDC, Dr. James Curran, stated in July of 1981 that no cases have been reported to date outside the homosexual community or in women (Altman, 1981). That may have been the case in that moment of time, but much changed over the course of only a few months. Between July and December of 1981, another population was identified as suffering from the illness that had no name. This was the population of injecting drug users (IDU) and it was no longer limited to the United States, as Great Britain had its first reported case in that same month (AVERT, 2015). With the HIV/AIDS outbreak achieving a trans continental status, efforts were ramped up to identify the source of transmission. By the end of 1982, reports of cases with similar symptoms were coming from several European countries, Uganda, and Haiti which reflected the widespread nature of the situation (AVERT, 2015). In just one year, the number of cases reported in the United States alone went from 41 to 452 and from just 2 states affected to 23 (CDC, 2015). • 10. A Vindication Of The Rights Of Women By Mary Wollstonecraft I have a profound conviction that women are rendered weak and wretched, especially by a false system of education, gathered from books written by men who have been more anxious to make women alluring mistresses than rational wives. (Mary Wollstonecraft. A Vindication of the Rights of Woman.) Mary Wollstonecraft s main argument was to denounce the unfair treatment that many women had to endure since the moment of their birth being object of segregation from mainly men and all of society as they were viewed as only trophies to accompany men and to be stay at home mothers. We can consider Wollstonecraft to be a pioneer of feminism this book being a response to Jean Jacques Rousseaus Declaration of the Rights of Men and of Citizens where he clearly excludes women. Having been a victim of the same segregation is what maked Wollstonecraft so passionate about this subject. These writings are a reflection of the conditions of her own life having had a hard upbringing, being abused by her father and sustaining hard situations in an unfortunate life. More than an gender feminism she worked towards equal opportunity as a result of living in a society that did not offer that. Wollstonecraft mainly writes a controversy and presents a resistance towards the works of other authors, those being men. She addresses her ideas to those contrary of men who thought that a woman should not be educated and if so only a domestic education as did M. Talleyrand Perigord who she boldly ... The instinct of self preservation is universal. Every animate being clings to life and fears death. Each of us wants to be free from pain. So let me carry out all of my activities with great care not to be harmful to any living being (as cited in Rosenfield Segall). Jainismis an ecologically responsible way of life, which is non violent in thoughts, actions, and deeds (Pecorino, 2001). The heart of Jainism is to live and practice ahimsa. This is the action by which all actions are judged (ahimsa| Britannica.com, 2015). The Golden Rule, if you will. The Jain s believe that life is eternal. That all living souls have the potential of attaining enlightenment and immortality (Raghuram, 2004). If you interrupt the spiritual progress or jiva of an insect, animal, plant or person, you will incur karma (ahimsa | Britannica.com, 2015). Your karma will affect your samsara, and will determine your next incarnation. The purpose in one s life is to attain liberation from the samsara cycle. Why are we drawn to the many different facets of violencethat we experience in our lives? Is violence a learned behavior or has it become a part of our evolutionary progression. The Giants Best And Worst Wild Card Ranking the Giants best and worst wild card matchups 7:00 AM ET Jordan Raanan ESPN Staff Writer Facebook Twitter Facebook Messenger Pinterest Email print comment Playoff opponents are like ice cream flavors. They re all good, each with its own distinctive strength. The New York Giants have four potential opponents in the wild card round of the postseason: the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks. All are dangerous. All are winning teams deserving of their playoff position. Eli Manning will take whatever playoff matchup the Giants get, but he d be wise to root for something other than a visit to Seattle. Al Bello/Getty Images The Giants already have faced two, beating the Lions at MetLife Stadium late in the season and losing to the Packers at Lambeau Field early in the season. That factors into the equation of best and worst matchups for Big Blue in the opening round of the postseason. So should the current form of each team and its health. Locked in as the No. 5 seed, the Giants are going to play the division winner with the worst record in the NFC on the road. That doesn t necessarily mean they will play the worst division winner or the opponent that gives them the best chance to win. Matchups are everything this time of year. Such as during pregnancy, the use of drugs can threaten the health of both the mother and her baby, and it is more likely to increase the infant mortality. Of course, the effects depend on the drug and on the amount, method and frequency of use. Some drugs are very addictive, like heroin, while others are less so. But the upshot is that regular drug abuse or sustained exposure to a drug even for a short period of time can cause physiological dependence, which means that when the person stops taking drugs, they experience physical withdrawal symptoms and a craving for the drug. Their main facilities were set up in 1938 in the northeastern region of China known as Manchuria, which was under Japanese occupation at the time. Led by Lieutenant Shiro Ishii, this unit focused on researching the usage of biological weapons, although the use of such weapons was prohibited under the Geneva Protocol. The research here was typically conducted on live human subjects, mostly Chinese locals. Some of the experiments performed included infecting patients with diseases, then vivisecting them without the use of anesthesia to study how their internal organs had broken down from the diseases. Other experiments tested the effects of certain environmental conditions, including extremely cold temperatures and high pressure. The tests were not confined to the prisoners in the unit s facilities, as the Japanese army poisoned wells and released plague carrying fleas into Chinese cities (Frischknecht, 2003). At one end is the divine light which he calls the One. Sometimes he calls it God. At the other end is absolute darkness, which receives none of the light from the One. But Plotinus s point is that this darkness actually has no existence. It is simply the absence of light in other words, it is not. All that exists is God, or the One, but in the same way that a beam of light grows progressively dimmer and is gradually extinguished, there is somewhat a point that the divine glow cannot reach. Ferrell et al. (2015) states, the more employees perceive an organization s ethical culture to be the less likely they are to make unethical decisions (p.134). Business ethicsis not only about knowing what is right and wrong, or doing the right thing, ethics involves acting with responsibility, being objective when making decisions, putting honesty in all relationships, and maintaining employees fairness. According to Hughes, Ginnet, and Curpy (2012), conflict over values can arise even when an organization has clearly published values because leaders and employees have divergent perceptions of whether the leader s behavior embodies important corporate values (p.177). The Debate Over The Dormant Commerce Clause Essay Though there are a plethora of Supreme Court cases relying on the dormant Commerce Clause to invalidate state laws in order to uphold a national free market, there is also a long history of dissenting justices in dormant Commerce Clause cases. For instance, Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas commonly criticize the dormant Commerce Clausein their opinions. This lack of cohesion among Justices over the very existence of the legal concept makes it challenging for states to determine whether they are crafting Constitutional legislation and difficult for district and appeals judges to decide cases. The main criticisms of the dormant Commerce Clause include that the doctrine forces judicial activism, leads to unpredictable results, and lacks a theoretical basis in the Constitution. Justice Thomas stated that the doctrine requires the court to function more as legislator than as judges because of the policy judgements that judges must do when weighing competing interests at stake. Justice Scalia criticized the doctrine, stating that it has been inherently unpredictable unpredictable not just because we have applied its standards poorly or inconsistently, but because it requires us and the lower courts to accommodate, like a legislature, the inevitably shifting variables of a national economy. Scalia was particularly critical . . . disparaging the lack of any clear theoretical underpinning for the doctrine. Despite criticisms of the dormant ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Some can say it has evolved, while others say it has only strengthened to be greater love for God s people. In the Old Testament, there are around 12 various Hebrew words meant to recognize love. Each word also has its own meaning for the context of which it is used. Romantic loveas is used as one of them. A prime example includes Jacob and Laban. Jacob desired to marry Rachel because of her beauty and requested to work for Laban for seven years in order to obtain her hand in marriage(Genesis 29). This is a prime example of romantic love. Even though he loved Rachel, Laban required that he marry Leah first because she is the oldest. That being said, Jacob did what he had... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The exposure of love is used in the Greek word Agape (Sakenfeld, 2006). Agapao is the verb form of the noun agape . The word is distinctive in this framework because it appears to have been basically created by the Christian church because it does not appear in classical Greek at all (Wuest, 1997. The New Testament constantly expresses the love that God has for humans. If it were not for this love, things would not be the way that they are today. The term also comprises the conception of unrestricted love. The writings of the New Testament stood to strengthen the idea of love from the Old Testament. It was always understood that man might and more than likely would die for God. But the idea that God would die for man seemed to be unprecedented and unheard of in the name of love. Love throughout both testaments is something that did evolve, but in a stronger sense of the world. It was always going to exist, but how it was spoken about in the New Testament was built on the strong foundation of the Old ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Under his leadership, Tyco not just expanded but grew that between 1973 and 1982 the company went from $34 million to 500 million in consolidated sales. (Ferrell, Fraedrich, Ferrell, 2011). The story of a leadership in crisis reflects on the governance and unethical misconduct of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dennis Kozlowski. Dennis Kozlowski entered the corporation in 1975 and at the time was under the leadership of Joseph Gaziano. Dennis was mentored by Gaziano and was quite impressed by the lavish, opulent and affluent lifestyle. In 1982 Gaziano passed away and John F. Fort III became CEO. His leadership style was that of one that was quite frugal in his spending. This was a change within the culture of Tyco as it moved in a new direction and Kozlowski had to adapt to the changes. Fort Leadership and Managementstyle was to cut back on what he saw as wasteful spending. He opposed the extravagance of that of his predecessor and directed the company focus more towards making a profit for investors and shareholders. • 46. Wooramaroo Personal And Community Identity Place is important in relation to personal and community identity because where we live, in a way defines us. If we live in the country, we can identify with tropes of bush living or a rural lifestyle. If we are in the city, that place and cityscape can determine our way of life and sense of belonging to that place. Wooramaroo is the story told from the viewpoint of female protagonist Cara McGeever s ten year old son, Scott, and their change of place as immigrants from inner city working class Liverpool to Outback Australia in the 1970s. The novels that have influenced my story are Mullumbimby, Breath, and Heat and Light. Cara McGeever has suffered loss of place and identity through moving to Australia. Personal and community identity through place will be discussed through female characters Jo Breen in Mullumbimby, Eva Sanderson in Breath, and Pearl and Amy Kresinger in Heat and Light. Life in rural Australian presents strong community spirit and opportunities for Cara to belong to that space. Outback regions have a strong sense of place because their people experience commonalities such as dealing with the vagaries of nature. As Tuan (2001, 131) states, Attachment to place can emerge from the experience of nature s intransigence. The locals bond together in time of need, as we see at the end when the storm comes to Wooramaroo. It is this vital connection to the Outback that Cara needs in order to build a new identity, and find a new sense of place. Tuan goes on to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Poverty involves not being able to participate in activities that most other people are able to do (Raphael 2015, Lecture). The topic of poverty connects with inequality, where living conditions produce material and social deprivation that intensively threaten health and reduce the quality of life for an exclusive subset of the population (Raphael 2011, preface). For children, this has been a disregarded subject and deserves much more attention and consideration worldwide. In health, education, and material well being, there comes this impression of children falling behind (Adamson 2010, p. 1). In a well established country like Canada, the topic of poverty, as well... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 5). The second dimension of inequality is the inequality in young people s achievement through their education (Adamson 2010, p. 9). The third dimension of inequality involves three indicators that are used in children s self reported health complaints; healthy eating; and frequency of vigorous physical activity (Adamson 2010, p. 13). Through economic causes, its social costs and its possible remedies, inequality has become a major concern over the last three decades (Adamson 2010, p. 3). Inequality is an example of the changes in both the ability and effort it provides for further progress in all types of fields that engage in human endeavor (Adamson 2010, p. 3). Before the economic crisis in 2008, surveys were conducted to measure inequality and deploy data. Since well being has many dimensions, survey s were conducted favoring multidimensional measurements (Adamson 2010, p. 3). In terms of measuring the gap, based on the data that is available, there are two different methods that are used for approximating how far behind children are being allowed to fall (Adamson 2010, p. 4). The first method compares the child at the 10th percentile with the child at the 50th percentile. Then the degree of inequality is measured by the gap in between these two individuals, and that is shown as a percentage of the median position that exists.
