Animal Extinction Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of animal extinction presents a considerable challenge due to the
multifaceted nature of the subject. Addressing this issue requires a comprehensive understanding
of ecological systems, biodiversity, climate change, human activities, and conservation efforts.
The complexity arises from the need to balance scientific data, ethical considerations, and the
socio-economic factors that contribute to the ongoing crisis.
Researching the topic involves delving into various scientific disciplines, such as biology,
ecology, and environmental science, to grasp the interconnected web of factors leading to animal
extinction. Analyzing data on endangered species, habitat loss, pollution, climate change, and the
impact of human activities demands a critical eye and a thorough examination of scholarly
sources.
Crafting an effective essay involves synthesizing this information into a coherent narrative that
educates and engages the reader. The challenge lies in presenting a balanced perspective that
highlights the urgency of the issue without overwhelming the reader with despair. Finding the
right tone, whether it be persuasive, informative, or a combination of both, requires careful
consideration.
Moreover, addressing the human element in animal extinction necessitates navigating through
sensitive ethical issues. Discussing the role of industries, deforestation, and climate change
policies requires diplomacy to avoid alienating readers with differing perspectives. Balancing the
blame without disregarding the need for collective responsibility poses another layer of
complexity.
In conclusion, writing an essay on animal extinction demands not only a solid understanding of
scientific concepts but also effective communication skills. It requires the ability to navigate
through the intricate web of information and present a compelling argument that resonates with
the audience. Achieving this balance can be challenging but is crucial for raising awareness about
the critical issue at hand.

I Am Interested At The University Of Florida
1.Here at the University of Florida I am majoring in Economics. This field interests
me because I have always had an analytical mind which is needed in the economic
field. A main component of the field is to be able to problem solve as well as to
use analytical skills in order to make decisions. This aspect has always interested me
because I find myself able to think clearly when analyzing and interpreting data.
Though, I enjoy challenging myself which occurs often in the process of problem
solving. I also am interested in the field due to the many job opportunities that the
major presents because I value having options. There are a variety of jobs ranging
from corporate to small business and even government based where titles include
analyst, consultant, economist and research assistant.
2.Five years from now in my professional future I will just be beginning my career
in the business field hopefully with an economic specialty. I hope to be starting a
job where I can begin to obtain credibility through my work ethic and interpersonal
skills. Through this job I hope to achieve upward mobility in the company I am
working for and not be threatened by a glass ceiling. The company I see myself
working for is the Central Intelligence Agency as an economic analyst. Yet, I always
have a backup plan, so in five years I could also ideally see myself working for
Boeing as an economic analyst sales support.
3.Before I graduate I need to gain a substantial amount of experience to
Meaning Of Harm
To have a genuine of the meaning of harm , it is simply something that causes
someone to be hurt. Although, the harm created that is usually harmful to people,
can very likely be harmful to the environment, as well. The principle that prevents
harming others is linked to the idea of environmental protection and the safety of
people involved. Despite the fact, in both environmental protection, and product and
worker safety cases, there is often the possibility of people justifiably accepting
some harm for greater good, and especially of accepting the risk of some possible
harm for the attainment of some assured good. (DeGeorge, 272) Harm is undeniably
something to pay close attention to but it can vary between countries, times and

Liability for one s actions means that one can rightly be made to pay for the
adverse effects of one s actions on others. (DeGeorge, 104) Liability does not
necessarily involve moral responsibility for the action taking place, although. Strict
liability stresses that there is no excusing conditions that are accepted or
applicable. It is the responsibility placed on somebody who did not act negligently.
For example, consider selling a product that has defective problems. You did not
intentionally make it defective but you are held liable for it, even though the seller
did not intend to have it defective. Corporate liability is different because it is
formed to limit the liability of shareholders. It determines the extent to how much
they are liable for, unlike strict liability. The corporation can be punished or
prosecuted if actions were done for benefits, results from negligence, or due to lack

Royal Ideology in Ancient Israel
Royal Ideology in Ancient Israel One of the main themes present in the rise of
monarchy in Ancient Israel has to be the concept of royal ideology. Royal Ideology
is the practice of believing that the king is considered to be at the same level of
power as Yahweh, and vice versa. Throughout our studies of Ancient Israel there are
many pieces of evidence to support this idea, and it had a great influence on the
monarchal structure that developed throughout the time. Dealing with this subject
matter, focusing on Wisdom is undoubtedly one of the prime methods of being able
to interpret these Old Testament texts. One of the clearest themes to emerge when
dealing with royal ideology in Ancient Israel is the acknowledgment of the king as...

At home, the king mediated blessing and guaranteed justice. These attributes of
kingship were extensive indeed. They were finally limited, as all else in Israel s
life, only by the prime ingredient of Yahwism in all periods and expressions: no
other gods beside Yahweh. There are many different themes common on the
subject of Kingship in Israel that are highlighted throughout scholarly analysis of
the subject. Sages of the time, thought to have written Proverbs, believed that the
king was a person way beyond the normal run of things. This piece from Proverbs
30:29 31 is a prime example: Three things have an excellent bearing, and four
move with dignity: A mighty lion among the beasts, and he will not turn back from
before anything a greyhound or a he goat; and a king, his people a band of soldiers.
In the sage s judgment, lion, greyhound, he goat, and king, all four were considered
to be extraordinary, and the king, the goal of this number saying, was the most
excellent of all. Yet, however amazing or even imponderable he might be for the
sages, they were still able to affirm certain themes which were held in common with
other bodies of Israelite literature. Another expression/theme of Royal Ideology is the
expectation that the King would guarantee
Respiratory Acidosis Case Study
Respiratory acidosis is a condition closely related to patients with Chronic
Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). According to Ranson Pierre, respiratory
acidosis is characterized by lab values including an increased amount of carbon
dioxide (CO2) in the blood and a lower, more acidic pH level (2016). More
specifically, a CO2 value greater than 26 mEq/L and a pH level below 7.35 (Ranson
Pierre, 2016). These lab values signify the lungs inability to effectively eliminate the
CO2 produced by the body. In turn, this produces more carbonic acid H2CO3, which
then increases the acidity of the blood(Wasserman, 2017). The patient that prompted
me to research respiratory acidosis was admitted due to an exacerbation of COPD
and asthma. This patient s lab results showed an elevated CO2 level of 31 mEq/L.
The form of COPD that the patient had was chronic bronchitis. The pathophysiology
behind chronic bronchitis is inflammation and constriction of the bronchial tubes
making a perfect environment for mucus to accumulate and inhibit breathing
(Pietrangelo, 2016). Because inspired oxygencannot flow as freely to the alveoli, the
diffusion of carbon dioxide from the bloodstream into the lungs is impaired. Since
CO2 is forced to stay in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, the nurse must identify the contributing factors to that underlying
condition and make sure that the patient thoroughly understands them. In regard to
COPD, smoking is the biggest causative factor. A nursing consideration, in this case,
may include educating the patient on smoking cessation. Incentive spirometry and
deep breathing exercises can also be encouraged by the nurse. Having the patient
demonstrate proper spirometer use is a great nursing outcome that may influence a
patient to continue using it after discharge. If these actions are successful, the lab
values should reflect lower CO2 and normal
The Stereotypes Of Hope Leslie By Catharine Sedgwick

The encounters with Native Americans are a significant aspect of the literature of the
Early Americans. We can learn about both parties through the constant stereotypes
against the Native Americans by white people. These stereotypes impacted the culture
of society for future generations by making it look as though all Indians are bad
people with bad intentions. For example, the attempt to bring out the inner savagery
of the Indian culture. There are many stereotypes for example, the conversion of
Indians to another culture and forcing them to recognize the white culture as the
dominant culture over their native one. They had small chances of being accepted by
either society that they were born into or apart of. Finally, the miscegenation between
Native Americans and white people, or the intermarriage between cultures. The two
texts that I will be using to elaborate on this topic are, Hope Leslie by Catharine
Sedgwick and Edgar Huntly by Charles Brockden Brown. The stereotypes of Native
Americans in Early American literature have left an everlasting influence on the
American culture. The main theme in most of these stories try to bring out the inner
savagery of the Indian culture which is the most obvious stereotype seen in them. In
Edgar Huntly, this is seen the most in numerous occasions throughout the book.
When Edgar, the main character was very young his parents were killed by Indians
and ever since then he had been afraid of them. Although this soon

Sport commitment is a psychological state that represents the resolve or desire to
continue participating in sport and includes five constructs of sport enjoyment,
involvement alternatives, involvement opportunities, personal investments, and
social constrains (Fraser Thomas, 2016). Donnie s enjoyment of boxing is evident
when he watches boxing related movies and imagines himself in the ring and starts
to fight when he is not a full time fighter. Donnie s choice to leave the business
world for fighting was a sign that the alternatives did not attract him. Through
fighting, Donnie met Rocky, his girlfriend, new trainers, and Conlan, in addition,
he became famous because if his dad s fame and his win in Philadelphia, which are
some of the opportunities that boxing made possible for Donnie. Leaving his
career, home and his mom, Rocky is fighting cancer because of him while training
him, and all the time he spent training, are some examples of personal investments
Donnie made in his boxing career. Additionally, having to keep his dad s legacy
would be the biggest social constrain on him. Therefore, all this together made
Donnie committed to boxing and are the reasons for his desire to fight Ricky Conlan
and this becomes evident when he gets knocked down during the eleventh round, and
he sees some of these as images which made him get up and fight
Esteem Self Esteem
Confidence is the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone, something and
themselves. In an event that the person feels that they are a useful individual and
likes their own existence, at that point high confidence is experienced. Various
mental specialists have recommended that if people have high confidence,
achievement and accomplishment will come about. High self esteemcan be achieved,
however, it often requires time and constant practice.
Social media in today s society plays a big role in affecting people s self esteem. It s
not a rule that one needs to post a picture before, throughout and after every activity.
For most teens, however, it seems required. The subsequent likes, retweets and
different ratings all get counted, both in the stark arithmetic of the internet and as
teens keep track of the judgemental ratings. For some particularly young women,
what begins as a fun approach to share and and stay connected in other people s
lives, can transform into an obsession about overall approval from others. This can
wreck a person s self esteem. Teens have been comparing and contrasting themselves
with mainstream pictures on social media and are missing the point of just sharing
and staying connected with one another. New investigations are quite recently
starting to prove the impacts of online networking are affecting the way teens see
themselves in a negative way.
A survey found that many young adults in the United States who are active online

The Effects Of Climate Change On Earth
In another matter, this is not the first time that climate change has affected the

There were five major ice ages from the longest and first scientists believe occurred
was two point four to two point one billion years ago during the early Proterozoic
Eon there was an ice ageformed and it was the Huronian. The second ice age was the
cryogenian and it has been known that it produced a snowball earthin which
permanent sea ice extended to or very near the earth s equator; this period occurred
from eight hundred and fifty to six hundred and thirty million years ago. The third ice

Scientists believe the possible causes of the medieval warm period were increase in
solar activity, decrease volcanic activity, and change to ocean circulation. After the
medieval ended what followed was the little ice age; the little ice age is a period
between the thirteen hundreds to the eighteen seventies. During this time Europe and
North America were subjected to a much colder winters than during the 20th century.
Scientists believe the cause of this period was cyclical lows in solar radiation,
heightened volcanic activity, changes in the ocean circulation, variations in earth s
orbit, and axial tilt, inherent variability in global climate and decrease in the human
population these just the few reasons why the little ice age was formed.
Climate change has caused many problems to humans and ironically the cause of
it are humans them selves. One of the major problems that climate changed has
caused is food crisis; hotter temperatures will severely diminish the world s ability
to grow crops and feed humanity and other animals. The effects of major heat
waves recorded in the past were very excruciating like the one in Western Europe
during the summer of 2003 which hunted the crop yield deeply. Also in 2003 Italy
was affected by a big heat wave where a maze yield feel by 36%. These are major
signs that humans won t have any thing to feed themselves in several years if this
damaging global warming continues.
Brief Overview Of Your Approach To Business Planning

Compare And Contrast Pit And Pendulum
There are many similarities and differences in The Pit and the Pendulum and the
Fall of the House of Usher. One can tell that these stories relate to Edgar Allan Peo
s past life. Both of these stories are written in the Gothic style of writing. They
convey fear and are usually located in dark, remote, or haunted places. Edgar knew
how to get into people s mind and bring great fear to them.
In the Pit and the Pendulum Poe uses fiction and history. The narrator is caught in
the Spanish Inquisition. The character finds himself in a dark pit counting down his
time till death. This story is very relatable to people today because people fear their
death and know that it will come in due time. Edgar gets in people s minds and plays

The World On The Terrorism
When looking at the terrorism that ISIS has endued it has become very evident that
a solution needs to be drawn into action. In my opinion the only way to take down
this organization is to begin to treat it like the state that it is. A state is defined as: a
nation or territory considered as an organized political community under one
government. ISIS has not only gained territory in Syria, Iraq and Istanbul but
according to New York Times columnist, Tim Arango, ISIS is building a capacity to
govern. In 2014, ISIS formally informed the world on their establishment of a
caliphate. This caliphate is governed under Islamic beliefs and rulers. They have
begun issuing identification cards for residents, promulgating fishing guidelines to
preserve stocks, and requiring that cars carry tool kits for emergencies (Arango).
Believe it or not, ISIS has been a state for two years, regardless of their lack of
legitimacy, their consistent threat of violence against any of those who oppose their
beliefs allows them not only to get things done, but get them done efficiently.
Whether we want to accept it, ISIS is a state, and we need to treat it as such.
On the 29th of June in 2014, ISIS announced that a caliphate has been establish and
the caliph was to be Caliph Ibrahim. The saying goes, In order to kill a snake, one
must cut off its head. The head of ISIS is the caliphate in Iraq/Syria. I believe that
collapsing the caliphate will collapse the organization. I have a proposed
Compare And Contrast Renaissance And Humanism
Renaissance, which means rebirth in French, might be defined as the awakening of
art, literature, architecture and learning in Europe between fourteenth and mid
sixteenth centuries through the contribution of classical sources. Despite the fact that
it was originated in Italy, it started to spread throughout Europe and contributed to the
transition from the Medieval Age to the modern one. Proponents of this movement
emphatically connected themselves with the values of classical antiquity, especially
as seen in the recently rediscovered works of art of writing and history. Additionally,
they had a tendency to separate themselves from works written in the Middle Ages, a
historical period they looked upon rather negatively. According to them, the Middle
Ages were set in the center of two significantly profitable periods. In the same way,
Humanism, which has an ideal of placing human beings at the center of the universe
rather than God, was the major intellectual movement of the Renaissanceand then it
became the dominant sophisticated movement in Europe in the 16th century.
Supporters of this movement asserted that humanistic studies, comprising of the

Antidepressant Properties Of Crocus Sativus Essay
Antidepressant Properties of Crocus sativus
Introduction: Crocus sativus is a perennial flowering plant that is commonly known
as saffron crocus or sometimes autumn crocus. The taxonomy of the plant is as
follows; Division: Spermatophyta, Sub division: Angiospermae, Class:
Monocotyledonae, Sub class: Liliidae, Order: Liliales, Family: Iridaceae, Genus:
Crocus. (Saxena, R. B.) Most well known for it s culinary use, Crocus sativus is
highly sought after for the use of it s stigmas which are used for saffron. In addition to
the culinary use of the stigmas, C. sativus has long been employed as an herbal
remedy for many years and across many different cultures. Recent studies have been
focused on determining the anti depressant qualities of the plant. Depression is an
increasingly common concern in today s society. Current estimates indicate that 11%
of Americans take prescription antidepressant medication and antidepressants were
the third most common prescription drug taken by Americans (Pratt, L.A.). In
consideration of the rate of depression symptoms, and antidepressant use, the search
for alternative therapeutic methods is at the frontline of many research projects.
Current research methods include randomized trials in which the therapeutic effects
of C. sativus are compared with common prescription medications such as fluoxetine

The Mystery Of Liars By Nancy Farmer
Ever since we were young we were shunned away from telling lies and were taught
that it was wrong. Why is it that lying was immoral, but then as we grow up we
drift away from that lesson? Many can say that we are cowards who hide behind our
lies. Today there exist a white lie which states that you are telling a lieto help
someone. Why do we teach our kids that lying is bad when adults lie all the time?
In the quote Nancy Farmer compares the liars to rats who are cowards that hides
and runs around in dark places because looking at the word lying it can gives off a
vibe of a dark and lonely place. Just like rats who runs and hides in dark places,
liars are basically hiding behind the shadows and living alone in their lie. From the
quote I agree and disagree with the quote, where I agreed with the quote that liars
are basically rats who hides and run from the truth, they don t care if it s unpleasant
to others and see lying as an escape route from trouble. Where I disagree is they can
t be called cowards because they might be telling a white lie and instead of being

Getting told a lie is a very unpleasant feeling for some while for others. They have a

being told a lie makes one feel as if they can t trust the person anymore due to the fact
that they are hiding something. For the person receiving the lie it is much more
Media s Portrayal Of Women
The media is everywhere; phones, televisions, magazines, so it is hard not to be
exposed to some type of media platform throughout the day. Among these forms of
media are photos and videos of woman idealized as the perfect woman. Magazines
release photos of women whose looks are highly unachievable and thought as as the
ideal woman. An average woman exposed to these photos may feel depresssed and
may want to look like the model through unsafe dieting and other eating disorders.
The media has affected girls as young as six years old into changing their
appearance to look similar to those idealized in television and magazines. The mass
medias portrayal of women today sets standards of beauty that are highly unattainable
and unrealistic,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This exposure to photos of the ideal body type lowers women s satisfaction with
their own body and appearance. These advertisements are everywhere you look:
billboards, magazines, and television. It is hard to avoid something that is all around
you.
The desire to be thin has not only affected women over age twenty, but girls as
young as six years old have expressed desires to be thin and are unhappy with their
appearance. President and CEO of the National Eating Disorders Association, Lynn
Grefe, says that the age of children suffering with eating disorders have gotten
younger and younger (Roberts). It has been reported that forty to sixty percent of
six to twelve year olds worry about their weight, and seventy percent would like to
slim down (Roberts). These young girls, who should be focused on having fun and
being young, should not feel the need to slim down or change their appearance to
fill the standards of society. These young girls who often express what they want
to be when they grow up, see these models and have a desire to be just like them.
In our society, models and actresses are seen as role models to these young girls.
However, celebrities messages to young girls is not something children should be
viewing. When a young girl sees a photo of their favorite actress next to an article
about losing weight and new diets, they
Advantages And Disadvantages Of Tissue Microarray
Tissue microarray
Tissue micro arrays (TMAs) was introduced by Kononen et al. in 1998 157. This
technique is based on the assembly of separate tissue cores on a paraffin block,
which may contain up to 1000 cores. TMA can be used for several purposes, in
which the detection of protein is the most common. In this thesis, prognosis/outcome
based arrays was applied to evaluate the prognostic value of various proliferation
markers.
Several advantages and disadvantages are associated with TMA compared to the
classic single sample microscope slide. Advantages associated with this technique
include rapid and high throughput validation of biomarkers, less reagent
consumption, less expensive, decreased technical time, decreased assessment time,
decreased variability of results, standardization and the possibility of digitizing and
quantifying results 155,158 162. However, TMA is not better than the classic
microscope slide in every are. Several disadvantages are also associated with this
technique, including the preparation that requires more careful planning and high
technical skills, sample selection is also critical due to ... Show more content on

Children s Center Preschool Room For My Prosocial...
I went to Keiki Hau oli Children s Center preschool room for my prosocial
observation assignment. During my visit, it was indoor free play time, meanwhile
teachers were offering breakfast. The schedule is not rush, they can play indoor and
outdoor with free choices for one hour. First, the room was organized by the section.
Each section has double or multiple amount of toys for children to play with their
friends. For example, on a shelf, there are three baby dolls and their matching clothes.
Children interact each other by asking questions such as, Baby is hungry. What can I
do? Another childsaid, I will show you. She used her baby bottle to pretend feeding
a baby. There is big open floor space in the back of the room for the children to play
freely. Children were playing with blocks and cars on that open floor. Some were
playing with Kapla on a low table with one caregiver. Other children were sitting at
the carpet, listening a story. Children play peacefully because there are variety of
activity choices they can play. Two things if I am able to change, I will change the
floor arrangement and add more books. First, I will move free floor space from

The Use Of Rubia In Aramaic
It s a tradition on Rosh Hashanah, to eat a variety of random foods as symbols for
the upcoming Jewish New Year.
Each food has a different meaning, weakly attributed to its name in Aramaic or
Hebrew. At any given time there is at least one food that you will find completely
revolting (fish head anyone?) and a couple others that you kind of like anyway.
But what you didn t know is that each food you like actually tells you everything you
need to know about your own personality and what type of neurosis awaits you in the
coming year.
What s your hang up? Take the poll to find out!
Beans are called Rubia in Aramaic, which sounds like the word for multiplicity, i.e.

The Mexica Army
Because the Mexica military was very strongly organized and therefore defeated
many armies, the warriors became a part of the upper social class. The military
forces were mainly made up of male aristocrats who were trained in military from a
young age. Therefore, as members of the higher social class, they received respect
from the Mexica society as well as huge stretches of land, luxurious food, and fancy
clothes, which enhanced their status and power even further. The lack of a
government in the Aztec empire led to the local administration of conquered people.
They often gathered the tribute that the Mexica taxed during their conquest; however,
they did not hold a strong enough power to establish an imperial rule. The

Importance of Setting in The Blue Hotel Essay
Importance of Setting in Stephen Crane s The Blue Hotel
In The Blue Hotel, Stephen Crane uses various provocative techniques to ensure that
the setting adds to the richness of the story. The Blue Hotel is set in a cold Nebraska
town at the Palace Hotel in the late 1800 s, but there is more to setting than just when
and where a story takes place. In a written work, it is the author s job to vividly
depict events in order to keep the reader?s attention and to create colorful mental
images of places, objects, or situations. The story is superbly enhanced through
Crane?s use of setting to develop mood, to create irony, and to make nature
foreshadow or imitate human actions.
From the beginning, Crane creates an atmosphere of ... Show more content on

The Need To Improve Evp Essay
The Need To Improve EVP Let s begin with what we know. When an emergency
vehicle responds to an emergency incident, the first responders, i.e., police, fire, and
emergency medical services, want to get there as fast and as safely as possible. The
current Emergency vehicle traffic signal preemption system or EVP will help to get
them to the emergency, but it has its limitations, i.e., line of sight distance of
approximately 2,500 feet (Priority Green) and non emergency vehicle drivers are
inattentive. (US Fire Administration (FEMA)) In 2015, the National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported there were 55 crashes across the United

Reasons For The Collapse Of The Han And Mayan Empires
A number of complex and enduring empires have dominated large parts of Afro
Eurasia, and Meso America. Among these were the Han Empire in China, the
Roman Empire in the Mediterranean Basin, and the Maya in Meso America.
These empires had wealth, power, and they are a vast size, but they all suffered
their unfortunate collapse. There are multiple factors that contribute to the
collapse of these empires such as warfare, taxes, the environment, problems with
the government, religion, and shortage of resources like food and water. The
reasons for the collapse of the Han and the Mayan empires are very similar.
However, there are also some striking differences of the reasons why these empires
collapsed. The Han Empire s disintegration happened because of 3 reasons:
warfare, governmental problems, taxes, and shortage of resources like food and
water. Warfare had an impact on the failure of the Han Empire because they needed
a lot of strong and efficient armies which led to the need for manpower, food, horses,
and weapons. These needs couldn t be fulfilled because the taxes were so high
(governmental problem) that the peasants had no way of paying their taxes resulting
many joining rich land owning generals lands which means that these peasants are
now under their command. Since these peasants left their land to join those that were
rich, their plots of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are warfare, shortages of food and water, and governmental problems. Warfare
is a problem for these empires since it is mainly the start of more issues like
government problems and riots which will eventually cause the destruction of the
empire. To further explain, in Document 9, it states, With entire communities engaged
in warfare, fields were left fallow and water control systems deteriorated. This means
that war changed everyone s lives and made everyone not care about their community
resulting in its
The Ghost By William Shakespeare
In the play Hamlet, the ghost presents himself as a character of an ambiguous nature
with a definitive purpose and a voice of paradox, delivering to Hamlet a lethal
mission to punish Claudius and avenge the late king. These qualities of the ghost
help show that there are uncertainties in this life and the afterlife and also
demonstrate that revenge, while carrying harsh repercussions, may be used as a
cleansing and justifying instrument to rid Denmark of its evil influences. The ghostis
the deceased King Hamlet, who dies an untimely and unnatural death at the hands
of his own brother Claudius, who pours poison down the King s ear. In literature,
the presence of a ghost usually means that an issue is unresolved and needs to be
corrected, and in Hamlet, the dead King returns to have Claudius punished and
purge Denmark of the intrinsic evil that corrupts it. The issue, an act of fratricide,
is so vile and serious that its victim calls from beyond the grave for justice and asks
Hamlet to exact revenge on the selfish murderer. This mission of revenge requested
of Hamlet commences the main actions of the play and sets the twists and turns in
motion. While the ghost is seen only for a short while in the play, Bernice Kliman of
Hamletworks.org comments that in effect he broods over the whole play (Kliman).
This is absolutely correct, since it is the deed of revenge instituted by the ghost that
can be tracked throughout the whole play and ultimately leads to the demise of the

Monkey s Quest For Immortality In Journey To The West
Immortality has been made into this ultimate goal. Literature and films have often
painted immortality as a gift only given to the few who have proven themselves
worthy of it. A life full of great wisdom, experience, and many other joys. In Journey
to the West, it opens up with the birth of Monkey and follows him as he tries to
achieve immortality. Monkey wants immortality and is willing to do anything to get
it; thinking immortality will bring him a an enlightened life. After reading Journey to
the West, I believe immortality should not be something that is prized as the ultimate
gift. I think living an immortal life would be far worse than a mortal one and
throughout this paper I will discuss why. Why would someone want to be immortal if
they cannot share their life with others? Sharing with others is what life is about.

So many experiences that anyone with the luck of getting to experience one would
be grateful. Monkey became king of his people, he learned great skills from the

so bad that he takes everything, no matter how precious it is, for granted. All of these

All in all, in my opinion, immortality is worthless. With immortality comes
selfishness. Immortals seem to take everything for granted because they know they
will most probably experience it again. I think living a mortal life is the best and
people should stop wishing to be immortal. Mortality is able to bring out the best in
life. With mortality people only have so long before they are gone from the world
and with that little time real happiness is discovered through all of life s hardships. In
the end death is both a hardship a beautiful

The next day, when Fred asked Carl, Where is my glove? Carl said, I do not know,

Design Of Floating Point Unit Core For Signal Processing...
Design of floating point unit core for signal processing applications
Abstract: Traditional computers data processing is limited by computer data input,
output, storage, display. Further computing needs repeated binary decimal
conversions. With the expansion of data intensive computing needs of distributed
computing, decimal computing of mass data is widely applied in banking, financial,
bio medical, astronomy, geography, signal processing, data acquisition and image
compression and other fields. Independent decimal floating point unit is becoming
important in these areas. A floating point unit is a part of a computer system specially
designed to carry out operations on floating point numbers. Floating point unit have
been implemented as a coprocessor rather than as an integrated unit in various
systems. Today s floating point arithmetic operations are very important in the design
of DSPs and application specific systems. As fixed point arithmetic logics are faster
and more area efficient, but sometimes it is desirable to implement calculation using
floating point numbers. In most of the digital signal processing applications addition
and multiplication is done frequently. This paper focuses on the techniques to design
a floating point unit which has faster rate of operations.
Introduction: A floating point unit is a functional block of a computer processor that
performs floating point arithmetic operations. Also known by the acronym FPU, a
floating point unit can be a
How Did The Steam Engine Affect Society
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND In the year of 1765, James Watt, the mechanical engineer
and chemist at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, found a way to develop an
efficient and powerful steam engine. Not only is this used to propel boats, but it is
also incorporated into steam driven locomotives.
Watt s improvements created a smoothly pumping engine that includes separate
chambers to condense steam, allowing the machine to work at all times. His
invention expanded to various forms of machinery, such as power pumping stations
used in factories mills and mines.
The invention of the steam engine received mixed reactions. Reactions from business

Embracing Depression Essay
We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars. Oscar Wilde Perhaps I
feel compelled to write on the subject of depression because it is a selfish disease. It
seeps into every crevice of one s life; it refuses to be ignored, to be relegated to some

Creating an EcOS Database Essay
How to create an EcOS database?

some key characteristics:
An EcOS database acts as a container for data, metadata, and objects.
The database structure is governed by its attributes.
Since it is a time series database, each series stored is tied to a time dimension.
Each time series has a default scale.

Parliament had failed to provide any motion and in this event the whole commission
and the President had to resign. The commission is able to propose legislation and
policy proposals; they are required to publish all proposals, which establishes

Foolproof Tactics
Wow, that assembly was extremely interesting. I felt so inspired by their sleep
inducing speeches and extremely confident stutter. The people I m talking about,
is of course the idiots who think they can win the nomination for Board of
trustees(B.O.T). School politics are so easy to manipulate, for even the stupidest
people. Here are some foolproof tactics to win at school politics. Firstly and
probably most importantly, before I say this I must stress not to skip this step, is to
volunteer for the position. This might seem extremely for the average reader but it
is possible and armed with these foolproof tactics there is no way you could ever lose.
A key to success is a good appearance. A good appearance has very specific
circumstances. These ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
False promises are key to getting your audience to vote for you. Claim you want do
the best for everyone but in reality it is all about you winning. One great example
is to attempt to promise the ability for people to leave school during lunch. This is
excellent because it is what the people want but obviously there is no way the
republicans will let anything through the senate. The hype train is important for
people to win you would want the to be derailed. This can be done by focusing
upon the young and naive as the will are likely to believe whatever you say so add
a few hype men to their ranks and easy votes are gained. The plan would influence
them to want to vote for as it seems popular. Quantity not quality of vote matters. On
that note it is important you stand fresh and trendy, try something like this, check
my lit instagram for some fire photos or damn (somebody s name, don t actually say
somebody s name use the name of the person ur trying to target) back at it again with
the dank memes. This makes seem like an ordinary peasent but in reality they are
nothing to you.
Looking through these ideas I have seen a clear victor this year with his false
promises, riding the hype train with his fancy slogans and his fake
recommendations. For his trickery and underhand tactics he deserves an applause for
his ideas, I can still hear yes for
Roe Through the Chain of Command Essay
President Johnson implemented the Rules of Engagement (ROE) during the war in
Vietnam, particularly Southeast Asia. His intention for this set of rules was a means
of control. The ROE dictated who (of the enemy) and where the American troops
were allowed to attack, even if they were clearly within enemy reach. This set of
rules benefited the hierarchy in the Chain of Command, but had a much less desirable
effect on those who actually carried out the rules. This paper will explore the ROE
and how it affected the military through the Chain of Command.
Soldiers were limited in their ability to defend. The ROE paralyzed them from
shooting even when they were shot at because the rules stated they must be certain

What made sense to the Division commander was secondary to the restrictions of
the ROE. The commanders were able to increase and add to the ROE but they
were not allowed to reduce the rules or bend the rules in any way (Moss, 2010).
The Division Commander was faced with great difficulty of knowing the enemy was
at an advantage due to the ROE because their goal was to defeat the enemy. It seems
the ROE had a different goal.
In 1967, Gen William Westmoreland initiated his war of attrition in hopes of victory.
Westmoreland requested 2000,000 additional troops to expand the military against
the VC/NVA forces, among other requests. President Johnson denied these requests.
President Johnson only approved 55,000 additional troops (moss, 2010, p. 216).
General Westmoreland was one of the commanders whose expertise was ignored and
overridden by President Johnson and Secretary McNamara. He was forced to give
Americans false information on the US status of the war; this was demeaning to his
professionalism.
The department of Defense was responsible for informing Vietnam troops of ROE s
implementations and changes. Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara delegated to
the Joint Chief of Staff to provide the commanders with the rules. Debates were held
when changes to the ROE occurred and Secretary McNamara was often the mediator
who settled those debates. Again, during these debates, military advise from experts
was often
Salt Intake
This article focused on lowering the salt intake of children and their families with the
help of a program that educated them on the harmful effects and ways to lower their
daily consumption of salt. 279 children from 28 primary schools in Changzhi,
northern China were assessed and randomly assigned to a control or intervention
group. Children in the intervention group were educated the negative influences of
salt and how to reduce their ingestion. These children then went home to their
families and relayed this information. This intervention lasted one schoolquarter
which is approximately 3.5 months. The control group was not intervened with this
information. Two outcomes were taken from the differences in salt intake in each
group. The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The target groups that will be affected are families. I believe this because it is
shown that not only can parents influence the way a family eats, but children have
the power too. Children from the intervention group went home and educated their
parents on what they learned, in which resulted in overall change. I believe the
time period before a health transformation can be expected is 3.5 months; the
duration of this experiment. The health benefits of decreasing daily salt intake
lowered blood pressure, something that is expressed in this experiment. No adverse
health effects would be presented because they are lowering the intake of salt.
Without a doubt, I agree with the claims presented in the experiment. With the
information I have obtained from reading our textbook, it is recommended to lower
your salt intake. Sodium is one of the chemical elements found in salt. A high
sodium diet increases your risk of hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, and
stroke. Sodium is not only found in average table salt these days, it is also present in
restaurant foods and packaged foods. Simple changes in adding salt to foods for
flavor, frequently eating out, and eating at home can make a difference and influence
the results shown in this

Animal Extinction Essay.pdf

  • 1. Animal Extinction Essay Writing an essay on the topic of animal extinction presents a considerable challenge due to the multifaceted nature of the subject. Addressing this issue requires a comprehensive understanding of ecological systems, biodiversity, climate change, human activities, and conservation efforts. The complexity arises from the need to balance scientific data, ethical considerations, and the socio-economic factors that contribute to the ongoing crisis. Researching the topic involves delving into various scientific disciplines, such as biology, ecology, and environmental science, to grasp the interconnected web of factors leading to animal extinction. Analyzing data on endangered species, habitat loss, pollution, climate change, and the impact of human activities demands a critical eye and a thorough examination of scholarly sources. Crafting an effective essay involves synthesizing this information into a coherent narrative that educates and engages the reader. The challenge lies in presenting a balanced perspective that highlights the urgency of the issue without overwhelming the reader with despair. Finding the right tone, whether it be persuasive, informative, or a combination of both, requires careful consideration. Moreover, addressing the human element in animal extinction necessitates navigating through sensitive ethical issues. Discussing the role of industries, deforestation, and climate change policies requires diplomacy to avoid alienating readers with differing perspectives. Balancing the blame without disregarding the need for collective responsibility poses another layer of complexity. In conclusion, writing an essay on animal extinction demands not only a solid understanding of scientific concepts but also effective communication skills. It requires the ability to navigate through the intricate web of information and present a compelling argument that resonates with the audience. Achieving this balance can be challenging but is crucial for raising awareness about the critical issue at hand. If you find yourself struggling with such essays or need assistance with various topics, you may consider seeking help from professional writing services likeHelpWriting.net, where you can order custom essays and receive expert guidance on your academic writing tasks. Royal Ideology is the practice of believing that the king is considered to be at the same level of power as Yahweh, and vice versa. Throughout our studies of Ancient Israel there are many pieces of evidence to support this idea, and it had a great influence on the monarchal structure that developed throughout the time. They were finally limited, as all else in Israel s life, only by the prime ingredient of Yahwism in all periods and expressions: no other gods beside Yahweh. There are many different themes common on the subject of Kingship in Israel that are highlighted throughout scholarly analysis of the subject. Sages of the time, thought to have written Proverbs, believed that the king was a person way beyond the normal run of things. This piece from Proverbs 30:29 31 is a prime example: Three things have an excellent bearing, and four move with dignity: A mighty lion among the beasts, and he will not turn back from before anything a greyhound or a he goat; and a king, his people a band of soldiers. In the sage s judgment, lion, greyhound, he goat, and king, all four were considered to be extraordinary, and the king, the goal of this number saying, was the most excellent of all. • 7. Respiratory Acidosis Case Study Respiratory acidosis is a condition closely related to patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). According to Ranson Pierre, respiratory acidosis is characterized by lab values including an increased amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the blood and a lower, more acidic pH level (2016). More specifically, a CO2 value greater than 26 mEq/L and a pH level below 7.35 (Ranson Pierre, 2016). These lab values signify the lungs inability to effectively eliminate the CO2 produced by the body. In turn, this produces more carbonic acid H2CO3, which then increases the acidity of the blood(Wasserman, 2017). The patient that prompted me to research respiratory acidosis was admitted due to an exacerbation of COPD and asthma. This patient s lab results showed an elevated CO2 level of 31 mEq/L. The form of COPD that the patient had was chronic bronchitis. The pathophysiology behind chronic bronchitis is inflammation and constriction of the bronchial tubes making a perfect environment for mucus to accumulate and inhibit breathing (Pietrangelo, 2016). We can learn about both parties through the constant stereotypes against the Native Americans by white people. These stereotypes impacted the culture of society for future generations by making it look as though all Indians are bad people with bad intentions. For example, the attempt to bring out the inner savagery of the Indian culture. There are many stereotypes for example, the conversion of Indians to another culture and forcing them to recognize the white culture as the dominant culture over their native one. They had small chances of being accepted by either society that they were born into or apart of. Finally, the miscegenation between Native Americans and white people, or the intermarriage between cultures. The two texts that I will be using to elaborate on this topic are, Hope Leslie by Catharine Sedgwick and Edgar Huntly by Charles Brockden Brown. The stereotypes of Native Americans in Early American literature have left an everlasting influence on the American culture. The main theme in most of these stories try to bring out the inner savagery of the Indian culture which is the most obvious stereotype seen in them. Today there exist a white lie which states that you are telling a lieto help someone. Why do we teach our kids that lying is bad when adults lie all the time? In the quote Nancy Farmer compares the liars to rats who are cowards that hides and runs around in dark places because looking at the word lying it can gives off a vibe of a dark and lonely place. Just like rats who runs and hides in dark places, liars are basically hiding behind the shadows and living alone in their lie. From the quote I agree and disagree with the quote, where I agreed with the quote that liars are basically rats who hides and run from the truth, they don t care if it s unpleasant to others and see lying as an escape route from trouble. Where I disagree is they can t be called cowards because they might be telling a white lie and instead of being unpleasant, it can actually help the person that is receiving the lie. Getting told a lie is a very unpleasant feeling for some while for others. They have a stronger mentality and can withstand being told a lie. Personally in my opinion, being told a lie makes one feel as if they can t trust the person anymore due to the fact that they are hiding something. For the person receiving the lie it is much more

During my visit, it was indoor free play time, meanwhile teachers were offering breakfast. The schedule is not rush, they can play indoor and outdoor with free choices for one hour. First, the room was organized by the section. Each section has double or multiple amount of toys for children to play with their friends. For example, on a shelf, there are three baby dolls and their matching clothes. Children interact each other by asking questions such as, Baby is hungry. What can I do? Another childsaid, I will show you. She used her baby bottle to pretend feeding a baby. There is big open floor space in the back of the room for the children to play freely. Children were playing with blocks and cars on that open floor. Some were playing with Kapla on a low table with one caregiver. Other children were sitting at the carpet, listening a story. Among these were the Han Empire in China, the Roman Empire in the Mediterranean Basin, and the Maya in Meso America. These empires had wealth, power, and they are a vast size, but they all suffered their unfortunate collapse. There are multiple factors that contribute to the collapse of these empires such as warfare, taxes, the environment, problems with the government, religion, and shortage of resources like food and water. The reasons for the collapse of the Han and the Mayan empires are very similar. However, there are also some striking differences of the reasons why these empires collapsed. The Han Empire s disintegration happened because of 3 reasons: warfare, governmental problems, taxes, and shortage of resources like food and water. Warfare had an impact on the failure of the Han Empire because they needed a lot of strong and efficient armies which led to the need for manpower, food, horses, and weapons. The Ghost By William Shakespeare In the play Hamlet, the ghost presents himself as a character of an ambiguous nature with a definitive purpose and a voice of paradox, delivering to Hamlet a lethal mission to punish Claudius and avenge the late king. These qualities of the ghost help show that there are uncertainties in this life and the afterlife and also demonstrate that revenge, while carrying harsh repercussions, may be used as a cleansing and justifying instrument to rid Denmark of its evil influences. The ghostis the deceased King Hamlet, who dies an untimely and unnatural death at the hands of his own brother Claudius, who pours poison down the King s ear. In literature, the presence of a ghost usually means that an issue is unresolved and needs to be corrected, and in Hamlet, the dead King returns to have Claudius punished and purge Denmark of the intrinsic evil that corrupts it. The issue, an act of fratricide, is so vile and serious that its victim calls from beyond the grave for justice and asks Hamlet to exact revenge on the selfish murderer. This mission of revenge requested of Hamlet commences the main actions of the play and sets the twists and turns in motion. While the ghost is seen only for a short while in the play, Bernice Kliman of Hamletworks.org comments that in effect he broods over the whole play (Kliman). This is absolutely correct, since it is the deed of revenge instituted by the ghost that can be tracked throughout the whole play and ultimately leads to the demise of the

Design of floating point unit core for signal processing applications Abstract: Traditional computers data processing is limited by computer data input, output, storage, display. Further computing needs repeated binary decimal conversions. With the expansion of data intensive computing needs of distributed computing, decimal computing of mass data is widely applied in banking, financial, bio medical, astronomy, geography, signal processing, data acquisition and image compression and other fields. Independent decimal floating point unit is becoming important in these areas. A floating point unit is a part of a computer system specially designed to carry out operations on floating point numbers. Floating point unit have been implemented as a coprocessor rather than as an integrated unit in various systems. Today s floating point arithmetic operations are very important in the design of DSPs and application specific systems. As fixed point arithmetic logics are faster and more area efficient, but sometimes it is desirable to implement calculation using floating point numbers. In most of the digital signal processing applications addition and multiplication is done frequently.
