Nursing Care Management 101 deals with the integral components of client care, promotion of psychosocial and physiologic health, and
maternal and child health nursing practice primarily on the basic concepts on care of the childbearing and childrearing family.
V. Prerequisite: NCM 100
Co-requisite: NCM 101.1
VI. General Objectives:
At the end of the semester, the students will be able to:
A. Explain the different concepts about promotive and preventive nursing care management.
B. Define the different terms involved in promotive and preventive nursing care management.
C. Formulate nursing diagnoses, desired outcomes, and interventions incorporating the concepts involved in promotive and preventive nursing
care.
D. Summarize the components and factors affecting the different body systems and the essential aspects of planning care.
E. Demonstrate understanding on the basic concepts about promotive and preventive nursing care management.
F. Utilize the nursing process in promoting health and preventing illness.
