 My survey results shows that 80% of the people
who filled out my questionnaire are between the
ages of 16- 25. This shows that my results are
going to be more youth based as that’s the age of
my target audience for my music video. By having
mainly 16-25 years old response, they will be able
to relate to the song represent the target audience.
This helps me to address this sort of audience. I
can then implement this by filming scenes that
they would wanna see.
 The results clearly shows that 29 people who
completed my survey use ‘YouTube’ to view
music videos. This is essential because I will
upload my music video on YouTube. It’s the
biggest social media youth use to view
videos. By posting my music video on
YouTube, it would be seen by most young
adults.
 The result shows that 17 people watches music
video everyday, 10 people watches music
videos every week, 4 people watch them every
month. Out of all the people who completed my
survey, nobody said they watch music video
less than a week or once a month. Whereas 1
person doesn’t watch music video at all. From
this I gathered that most people watch music
videos every week. This means that my results
will be more biased in favour of people who
watch music video more often.
 The results clearly shows that the people that answered my
questionnaire listen to RnB, Rap and Pop in terms of music
genre. However, less people listen to gospel, indie and rock.
This is very important as music video I have chosen is in the
genre of RnB and pop.
 However, their answer to my question would make it easier to
reach my target audience. This question enabled me to find
out whether my target audience is mass or niche.
 It would help in terms of the success of the music video
because my target audience would watch it.
 It shows in my result that MTV and 4Music
are my audience favourite music channels.
This respond will help me in terms of
reaching my audience through music
channels.
 From the table above, you can clearly see
that my audience like music with special
effects. Therefore, In our music video we
need to include animation.
 In this question, I had to specify which type
of favourite music video my target audience
prefer.
 The response which I collected from my
survey support my research in showing
variety between narrative, concept and
performance based.
 I have decided that my music video will
have a narrative and concept based as most
of my respondent seems to enjoy most.
 My target audience prefer a music video to be
funny or serious. In music video, I need to
make it funny rather than serious because
that’s what my audience prefer.
 This question gives a range of different
answers. It shows the type of genre my target
audience listen to and why. From this answer,
you can see that most of them prefer POP and
RNB.
 However, it is important because it shows
that they can relate to Rihanna as her genre
of music is POP and RNB.
 In this question, my target audience prefers
different range of emotions in a music video
such as happiness, sad or angry.
 From this survey, I have found out that my target audience
will be between the ages of 16-25. I will aim more at young
adults because my music video idea will be more suitable for
that age group.
 The song that I’m using is a mixture between RnB and Pop
and I noticed that my target audience tends to watch music
videos everyday or at least every week. 60% of the people that
filled out my questionnaire said they enjoy watching music
videos with a story.
