2. What music genre do you like the most?
This shows that most people who done my
survey prefer R&B; I am going to now create
an R&B magazine because I know it will
appeal to my target audience.

3. What colours would you prefer to see on a
magazine?
On this question It shows that most people would
like to see the colours black, white and silver; it
shows half of the people that answered this
question would like these three colours.
However I have changed my decision with
the colours for my music magazine and I am
going to use the colours red, white and black
because I think they go well together and
would suit the R&B theme.

4. What would you rather see on the front of a
music magazine?
The results for this question show that more than half
of the people who answered this question would
rather see a female artist on the front of their
magazine however the rest of the people said they
would want to see a group or band but no body
would want to see a male artist. I have decided to go
with the most popular answer and have a female
artist on my music magazine front cover.

5. What makes you buy a magazine?
Most people say that they want to buy a magazine
because of the picture on the front cover and this
information is useful to me when doing my music
magazine because then I know I need to focus extra
hard on having a good photo on the front cover
which should appeal to my target audience.

6. What do you think is a reasonable price for a
music magazine?
All of the people that answered this
question on my survey thought that £2-3 is
an reasonable price for a music magazine, I
think I will go with the price £1.99 because
I think that would be appealing to the
target audience as it is nearly £2 but looks
cheaper.

7. What do you think would make a good
double page spread?
All of the people who answered the question said
that they would like to see one big picture and small
column of writing, So for my music magazine I am
going to do this as I know it would definitely appeal
to all my target audience.

8. Who is your favourite artist or band?
There is a variety of answers for this question
because different people like different artists or
bands however out of the three I gave them most
of them liked either Ed Sheeran or Eminem but only
1 liked Paramore. I used this question just for
general answers about different music genres and
artists my target audience might like.

9. What makes a good contents page?
My results show most people like the idea of
having a combination of pictures and
columns of text with page numbers but some
other people said they liked the idea of the
photos linking to the page numbers.
However no one liked the idea of having no
pictures and just writing with page numbers.
I have decided to go with having a combination of
pictures linking to pages and also columns linking to
the page numbers as well. I thought this would be
interesting on my contents page and also would
result in the target audience of my music magazine
being happy.

10. What do you think is a good name for a music
magazine?
• I asked people this question and some of the answers that it resulted

However I am going to call my music magazine ‘R&BEATS’ because
most of the answers I got in my survey question didn’t really suit my
music genre well or did not appeal to me.
