This document analyzes survey results about preferences for movie trailers in the gangster/crime genre. It finds that the primary audience is males aged 14-18 who enjoy films for their plots, action, and violence. Specifically, viewers want to see themes of guns, drugs, money, and organized crime depicted in an appealing trailer that builds tension without revealing too much of the plot. Looking at popular films like The Godfather and their trailers could provide examples of effective conventions to draw in this target audience.
