3.) What have you learned from
    your audience feedback?
Class Questionnaire

In order to gain some feedback for our pieces,
we devised a questionnaire and asked our A2
Media class to review our products. As the
students had completed the same task we had,
we felt they were effective critics. However,
some responses may have been based on
sympathy, so we used further feedback
methods to ensure accuracy of answers.
This is our questionnaire. We handed it
out to our class and asked them to
answer it during and after viewing our
products.

We included questions on each product,
but mainly on the documentary as this
was the main task. We included both
open and closed questions to get a range
of answers and to enable the audience to
give their own feedback on it.

We included a question at the end asking
the audience if they had any suggestions
regarding improvement of any of our
products. This will help us to realise
where we went wrong and what the
target audience would’ve preferred we’d
done. This will help us in any future
projects of this nature.

documentary/series?
Could you hear the interviews

Do you think the voiceover 15 0 0

the documentary?
Do you think the use of music
was effective?
                                12 3 0
Did the documentary flow 15 0 0
well?
Did the radio trailer spark 15 0 0
your interest in the show?
Did the magazine article 8 7 0
spark your interest in the
show?
Responding To Negative Feedback
Did the magazine article spark your interest in
the documentary? For this question we received lots of
                                                   negative feedback, with nearly half
saying the article would not interest
                                             Yes
                                             No
them in watching the show. In
response to this, we remade the
                                                   article, using a further questionnaire
to find out what the audience liked to
ensure it would cater more to the
                                                   audience's preferences.

Did the magazine article spark your interest in I am now confident that the new
the documentary? magazine article design appeals to
the target audience much more than
Yes the original design. This is proved
No with a further survey using the new
design, where 14 out of 15 people
saying they liked the new article
                                                   design.
Conclusion

From our results, we can conclude that our
documentary was fairly well received. The
feedback helped us realise that there were
problems with the sound levels sometimes and
that we focused too much on one interview
throughout our piece. With this in mind, in
future we will spend more time checking sound
levels and use more of a variety of clips to keep
the audiences interest throughout.
