Flow Assurance For Deep Water Production
Flow assurance is a term created by Petrobras in the early 1990s aiming to ensure successful and
economical flow of hydrocarbon stream from reservoir to point of stream. Wells located in water
deeper than 1200 feet require flow assurance. Deep water temperatures can get down into the thirties
depending on the depth of the well. Because of the low temperatures the fluid within the wells may
have issues flowing. Some issues could be hydrate, scale, corrosion, and asphaltenes. The best way to
combat these issues is to install chemical injections. Chemical injection pumps such as a low dose
hydrate inhibitor (LDHI) could be used to prevent complications caused by hydrate. Corrosion
inhibitors can also be used when wells have experienced corrosion that may have occurred due to
water. Corrosion inhibitors coat the inside of the walls of the pipes. Asphaltenes can be treated by
using an asphaltene inhibitor. Because of the steadily evolving industry, flow assurance for deep water
production is becoming increasingly more important. Flow assurance is made successful by flowing
the strategy, PI3, Proficiency, Integration, Implementation, and Improvement. Without flow assurance,

choices (Landau, 2008). Finding oneself in a place where material properties and social status are
crucial, many people s happiness in such cases would be dependent on these things. For the purpose of
understanding this issue, this paper critically analyses a research done by Morelli, Rameson, and
Lieberman about happiness.

country then they will not have to experience any harm. That would be a solution, but packing up and
leaving your home is more difficult than it may seem. Sure, they would be away from all the terrifying
crimes, but they would no longer see their family and friends. It would be extremely difficult to leave
the country where you have spent your whole life. Women who leave are just courageous as those who

The discussion on humanitarian intervention emerged in the 1990s with the end of the Cold War and
severe ethnical violence taking place. However, the legal roots of humanitarian intervention are found
on Chapter VII of UN Charter and UN Convention on Prevention and Punishment of Genocide
(Charter of the United Nations and the Statute of International Court of Justice, 1945; Convention on
Genocide, 1948). With the second wave of democratization occurring from the late 1940s to 1960s it
