How Does Lan Samantha Chang Use Symbols In Housepainting
An author often uses symbolism in order to give the reader a clue into a deeper meaning behind the
story. A symbol is an object, person, place, or experience that represents something else, usually
something abstract. Symbols challenge the readers simple explanation while relating to the everyday
experience. In order to add depth to their stories, authors often use symbols to help the reader gain a
greater understanding of the story. In the Housepainting, the author, Lan Samantha Chang, uses the
house to represent Frances happiness. When Wei tries to paint the house, Frances begins to realize she
does not want her life to change. This house is a constant in her life and as Wei paints it, she sees her
freedom fade away. She struggles with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A symbol that is an important part of the story is the clock. When the author is describing the rooms
he says, It was in this apartment, also, that there stood against the western wall a gigantic clock of
ebony (Poe 370). The clock symbolizes the readers lifetime. The numbers on the clock symbolize our
age. When the clock strikes 12:00 we are born and when it makes it full circle then we die. This
symbol adds to the suspense in the story, especially in the instance of when the clock struck at each
hour. The whole party went silent and the choir stopped singing. This make the clock an important
symbol in the story because it relates an everyday to have a deeper meaning. The final symbol in The
Masque of Red Death is the character Red Death. In the introduction of the story Red Death is
described as fatal and that, Blood was its Avatar and its seal (Poe 369). Using extreme detail to
describe Red Death adds to the dark and suspenseful atmosphere of the story. When Poe uses the
description, The mask which concealed the visage was made so nearly to resemble the countenance of
a stiffened corpse that the closest scrutiny must have had difficulty in detecting the cheat, it adds to the
creepy atmosphere of the story (Poe

Character Analysis Of Empire Rising
In the novel Empire Rising, Michael Briody is a confident, idealistic ironworker from Greenwich
Village Ireland. Originally a soldier fighting in the Civil War, Briody escaped prison camp and came
to America to start a new life in the Bronx. Due to the hardships he faced in Ireland and trying to get a
job in America, Briody now carries an immense love for the work he does on the Empire State
Building. The job he does with the rest of the rivet crew is one of the only things that distracts him
from the guilt of being a hitman. His other diversion is the relationship he pursues with Grace
Masterson, another Irish immigrant who lives on a houseboat. Briody s strong feelings for Grace are
ultimately what lead to his potentially avoidable demise.
The personality traits that Briody carries remain the same throughout the novel, even when he is faced
with hardships. He can only be described as a man of dedication and loyalty who trusts his instincts
and doesn t back down easily. Briody s dedication shows itself in the novel through his love for
working. He s described as an ironworkers posterboy, (06) which further explains that he is devoted to
the work he does on the Empire State Building. The book mentions on multiple occasions that Briody
is addicted to the way building something so monumental makes him feel. Actually, I m truly happy
when I m on the job. There s nothing like it, really. Most people might think it s crazy, but I love the
work, the men. (189) By reading

Scharffen Berger
Executive Summary
For premium chocolate maker Scharffen Berger (SB), quality is king. Their distinct process creates a
taste experience second to none, an unparalleled quality that must be maintained despite apparent
capacity issues. To satisfy the rising market s demand for its product, it must address three primary
issues related to capacity: bottlenecks, expansion, and economies of scale. The current bottleneck in
the Conche (output=1,344 kg. /day) will be remedied with the installation of the ball mill, however
other bottlenecks will be created starting at the Melangeur. A cost benefit analysis has determined a
need for a second melangeur as well as added Roasting time from 8 hours/day to 12 13 hours/day to

This report form 1929, focused on the issue of overcrowding in the federal prison system and how
federal judges in Minnesota indicated a need of more federal prison farms in the northern part of the
state. Barstow reasoned that a prison farm could bring income and jobs to the town to make up for the
economic fall of the quarry and railroad. The town had a piece of land that had not been cleared across
the Kettle Rover to the east of the Sandstone that Barstow thought would be perfect. Barstow recruited
the help of Senator Adolph Larson, Dr. Homer p. Dredge, and businessman John F. Hawley. These
four men, later known as the prison farm four, called a town meeting and formed a committee with a
goal of obtaining a federal farm for Sandstone. The U.S. department of Justice had already announced
intent to build a new prison farm in Minnesota, but Sandstone was not the only town bidding for a
new institution. Sandstone, however, had the unique advantage of being positioned half way in the
middle of the Twin Cities and Duluth, these cities delivered most of the Minnesota s prison

Sandstone as the location for the new prison far. On November 10, 1931, Sandstone received the news

Igf 1 Research Paper
IGF 1 is widely known as one of muscle enhancer that is being used by the bodybuilders. IGF 1 or the
Insulin like Growth Factor 1 also known as Somatomedin C is named because of its structure that is
relatively similar to the hormone insulin. This polypeptide is not a substance that immature or
inexperienced bodybuilders should use. It is recommended for bodybuilders to use anabolic steroid for
several years before starting a course of IGF 1, and one must be aware of the side effects of using this
peptide.
IGF 1 is one of a banned substance listed in the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) Prohibited list. It
can boost the production of lean muscle as well as aid recovery time. It is responsible for the anabolic
effects of the growth hormone, but when used without a medical requirement, IGF 1 can cause serious
effects or harm. Though effects of IGF 1 were all tested, the utilization and distribution of the
medicine for the proper medical use of human is very limited and as the result, the potential for misuse
that can harm people is extremely high. Despite the alleged effects on athletic performance,

Uncertainty Reduction Theory Essay
The Uncertainty Reduction Theory states that before and during initial interactions between two
people, one s first instinct is to reduce uncertainty about the other through various methods. For
example, when you see someone you think you would like to know, you try and figure out what they
are like through various methods so you can control the conversation and steer it into a path that the
other person finds interesting. There are a few methods, or strategies, of figuring out what the other
person likes: passive, active, and interactive. In the passive strategy, you try to find out the other
person s interests through observation from afar. This happens without their knowledge, because you
re trying to figure out what they re like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This happens most frequently in what is commonly referred to as small talk. Since I am a rather shy
person, I don t generally use the active nor the interactive strategy of reducing uncertainty. However,
because I do spend most of my time online, the easiest way of finding out more information about
someone is through passive strategy. While most people do think it s a little creepy to search for
someone specifically, even more would agree that it would be creepy to start a conversation with
friends of a person you re searching about online. In real life encounters, I still generally use the
passive strategy of observing people, mainly because my social skills are less than adequate. From my
non experience, I can infer that each of the interpersonal encounters have their benefits and
drawbacks. The passive strategy does get you information about the person you re looking for, but if it
comes up how you got the information you know, it could severely impact the potential relationship
you could have with that person. The active strategy gives you information by proxy, and also has the
added bonus of getting to know the kind of people your person socializes with, as well. Unfortunately,
as previously stated, faulty information is easy to get with this method, and it s possible the people
you talk with will tell the person you want to know, causing them to avoid you. And finally, the
interactive strategy gives

Technological Advances And Its Impact On The United States
From the time when the first English colonies were established in North America until now, there has
been some form of armed fighting force in place to protect the interests of the United States and its
colonial progenitors. During the roughly four centuries in which this fighting force has existed, it has
undergone numerous changes of varying degrees of significance. Technological advances have
changed the nature of both defensive and offensive warfare, political advances have changed the
nature of the relationship between the civilian population and its protectors, and geostrategic shifts
have changed the role of the United States military with respect to the rest of the world. The most
lasting and meaningful changes have occurred ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The conflict that eventually grew into King William s War would provide one of the first opportunities
for fighters from different colonies to cooperate in a larger military conflict on behalf of the English
Empire, and also to develop a sense of resentment toward the Crown for its perceived failure to defend
the colonies adequately (Williams, pp. 23 24). The colonists had inherited their ancestors distrust of a
standing army, primarily since they saw such an army as a tool for the repression of liberty (Flashnick,
Week 1). After the failure of the English army to assist the colonial fighters to any meaningful degree
during King William s War, this distrust was confirmed and amplified. Two long term effects of the
conflict were that it reinforced the American preference for the citizen soldier and, by virtue of forcing
cooperation between the colonies, it paved the way for what would eventually become a united
continental army. Queen Anne s War was the second successive conflict during this period of
transition for the colonial armed forces. The colonies once again were forced to cooperate militarily,
this time to an even greater extent than had been the case during King William s War. This second war
involved more of the colonies than had previously fought together at any time, albeit with a substantial
degree of reluctance on the part of many, and

Type of Ecosystem Being Restored and Site Conditions.. Spotted knapweed prefer habitats that consist
of gravel/sandy soils, full sun, arid conditions in course soil, disturbed areas, and is tolerant to nutrient
poor soils (Montana Weed Control Association (MTWEED), n.d.). The SKCP broke the river down
into three sections, all have the same spotted knapweed concerns and goals, but have slightly different
soil ecosystems. The first section starts at the headwaters and runs to Nye, MT (See Attachment 6)
about river mile 35; this stretch contains faster moving stretches of rapids, but also areas that are very
slow moving and slough. The higher river banks in the faster moving areas have rockier soil, and more
drastic soil erosion caused by spotted knapweed. The slow areas and sloughs, like near Lake Sioux
Charley (See Attachment 7), the largest moving slough, have moist, less rocky soil, and not as
conducive growing environment for spotted knapweed. This area is primarily back country, already
designated trails, and is deeply wooded in some areas, but is the least of the SKCP concern. The
second section runs from Nye, MT to the Rosebud River, about river mile 12. The calmer, clearer
water, with more gradual river banks, significantly more arid gravel bars, open sunny landscape, are
all prime growing areas for spotted knapweed and the highest area of concern. It is also considered
outstanding fly fishing waters, which creates more foot traffic on the river banks, creating more
disturbed areas. The last section, runs from Rosebud River to the Yellowstone River, river mile 0. This
section has significantly more rapids (famous area for whitewater rafting) and higher river banks, with
the largest amount of private property along the river. The soil in this section is rocky and has
primarily open sunny landscape, both are great growing environment for spotted knapweed. This area

Descriptive Essay About A Day At The Beach
Throughout my life I have been to many beaches, but a few stand out. The select few that stand out are
because of the memories I ve made there, they are the ones I will never forget. Each beach has its
unique value to itself and to me. The one thing all beaches have in common is they are filled with an
obscene amount of people, but hold the most memories. Throughout the years, the beach has taught
me some lessons of independence, which I will be able to use in the future. Overall, the beach is best
spent with friends and family enjoying the water and its transition of a hectic day time to a peaceful
nighttime.
Day, time, temperature, and even the people who I m with all play an important role in determining
how the day at the beach will go. During the day, the smell of sunscreen overcomes the salty air as the
sun intensifies, the seagulls screech louder as they look for food, and the waves crash faster. The
waves also help set the tone for a day at the beach. With strong waves rolling through its just a matter
of time before you get pulled under and turned upside down. These are the moments that fill me with
panic, not knowing which way is up and when I ll turn back to the surface. The adrenaline rush of
being in the ocean, jumping over and diving under the waves is the best feeling. Strong, fast waves are
always the best, but unfortunately there are weak waves too. Though, weak waves can be boring there

The staffs of therapeutic communities mainly consist of former addicts and abusers, they know what
the addicts are going through and can knowledgeably help them through the struggle. There is a high
success rate for patients who do not stick with the program.
Chemical decency residential programs are a combination of hospitalization and a therapeutic
community. The programs are usually three to eight weeks in length and they are counseled by
recovering alcoholics with little formal training. These private pay programs are the most common
form of residential treatment although they are now reduced in number.
Medical assisted treatment is not nearly as popular as residential treatment, but it is beginning to play
a more important role in outpatient recovery. When using medication to aid recovery there are three
basic approaches to take: antagonism, substitution, or the use of a drug that is medically incompatible.
Antagonism requires total a blockage of the abused drug, while substitution allows the use of another
drug to reduce the craving for the abused drug. Giving an addict a drug that is medically incompatible
with the abused drug will cause them to become sick any time that they use the abused drug. Crisis
clinics are a form of outpatient help, they range from telephone hotlines, to emergency associated

Mexico Economy And Gdp Of Mexico
MEXICO ECONOMY AND GDP
Mexico is the 15th largest nominal GDP in the world and the 11th largest by Purchasing Power Parity
which is estimated at $2.2602 trillion in 2015 and a $1.3673 trillion in nominal exchange rate. Its
annual average growth from 1995 2000 was 5.1% but dropped to 3.02 % over the next 10 years. In the
wake of the global financial crisis, Mexico GDP further took a nose drive by a 6.2% decrease; the
economy is gradually normalizing as the GDP expanded to at 2.1% in 2014 a two year consecutive
growth. It is expected to modestly rebound in 2015 to 2.7% before averaging a robust 3.5% between
the fiscal year 2016 2019 this growth when compared with other regional peers is slow, a reflection of
the country weak trade ties with Asia. (EIU, 2015) But unlike most countries, it was able to maintain a
moderate public debt of 45% of its GDP and a low but permanent current account deficit of 0.8%
which can mainly be attributed to the country s commercial surplus with the United States and a
deficit with Asia, China and the rest of the world. It has been argued that successful implementation of
structural reform could potentially eliminate some competitive bottleneck thus boosting the economy
to 4 5% by 2019 (export.gov) but this is an unlikely achievement in light of the persisting institutional
weakness towards implementing government reform program. The country trade balance would suffer
from lower oil export as a result of decline in population and weaker oil price

that ethnicity and lower socioeconomic standing lowers HCAHPS scores and the patient s perception

Essay on Child Development Observation
In this assignment I am going to describe a child observation that I have done in a nursery for twenty
minutes in a play setting. I will explain the strengths and weaknesses of naturalistic observation
through the key developmental milestones based in Mary Sheridan (2005) check list and provide a
theoretical explanation to support the naturalistic observation.
First of all I would like to explain why the child observation is important for social workers. It is
important because it focus on the problems that arise when a child s situation is not taken seriously
and consequently have harsh consequences for both worker and child (ClimbiĂŠ Report, 2002).
Observation is something that leads to formation of hypotheses and gives new insights ... Show more

At this stage, the child s thinking changes over time.
The observation made me reflect and discover the child s interests, I could assess his developmental
levels and I have observed what strategies were being used to attain their goals. After the observation I
reflected upon it and realised that I have learned a lot about their personalities and skills that they need
to practice.
Secondly, it is important to consider the strengths of naturalistic observation as a method. This was
identified when the child was consistently moving and doing different activities that allowed me to
understand how he communicates with other children, how he behaves and what he learns from
others. In the play setting the child was able to develop his thinking and according to the Framework
for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families (DOH, 2000) through social relationships,
the child was encouraged to express his feelings, emotions, which was achieved by the setting creating
an enjoyment environment.
Cognitive developments allow the child to begin to understand and interact with the environment and
see things from the carer s point of view, adjusting behaviours accordingly and understanding that the
carer has goals and plans, therefore, and the relationship is seen as partnership. Cognitive skills are
necessary in adapting to the environment. As Hendey and Kloep (2002)

Accountability Is The Foundation For Humanitarian Aid
Accountability is the foundation for humanitarian aid because it dictates the level of effectiveness of
the response. Also, it allows humanitarian agencies to manage risk in disastrous situations and affected
populations. As defined by HAP, Accountability is the means through which power is used
responsibly. It is a process of taking into account the views of, and being held accountable by different
stakeholders, and primarily the people affected by authority or power (HAP, 2010). HAP clarifies that
when referring to power and accountability, it does not mean that the agencies have power over the
community. However, the agencies have the responsibility to control the way power is used within
these crisis affected populations. Regardless, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The example of Typhoon Haiyan response upholds how a more organized and relevant approach to
approving AAP will initiate more support of networks. Aside from the Haiyan response, there are have
been other attempts at improving accountability within humanitarian agencies. Another example is the
Pakistan Accountability Learning Working Group (ALWG) is a way to link accountability both
globally and locally. Lastly, Sierra Leone is an example of how humanitarian agencies attempt to
collect data about the affected areas in hopes of a more comprehensive approach. In order to develop
better accountability methods, it must have a consolidated approach, which means that the agencies
must understand the area they are serving. Humanitarian agencies should have the intentions of
listening and responding to the needs of these affected areas, listening is not adequate. By having a
more consolidated approach, the agencies are able to obtain data about the crisis areas, and with this
data they can provide a more realistic approach.

The Food And Drug Administration
In 2000, the US Food and Drug Administration issued a health claim which states that consuming
foods containing plant sterol and stanol esters along with other low cholesterol and saturated fat foods
can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease (Jones, Vanstone, Raeini Sarjaz, St Onge, 2003). Today,
many functional foods in the form of margarines, spread, yogurt, and others, have been enriched with
phytosterols and advocated as being able to reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. Phytosterols
have been known for its cholesterol lowering effect by blocking absorption of cholesterol in the
intestines. However, there are controversies surrounding the efficacy of phytosetrol that are enriched
in foods in reducing cholesterol levels. Many studies have also demonstrated the efficacy of
phytosterol enriched foods. VĂĄsquez Trespalacios and Romero Palacio (2014) and Amundsen, Ose,
Nenseter, and Ntanios (2002) have demonstrated the efficacy of phytosterol enriched foods in
reducing total and LDL cholesterol levels. However, there are also many studies that show otherwise.
For example, Jones et al. (2003) and Weingärtner et al. (2016) have shown that phytosterol
supplemented foods did not have any effect on total and LDL cholesterol levels. The debate regarding
the efficacy of phytosterol in functional foods is crucial as phytosterol enriched foods can potentially
be a solution to a continuous increase in population suffering from cardiovascular diseases. The

Essay on Clarkson Lumber questions
Clarkson Lumber Company
1. Identify the key problem in the case and explaining why it is the key problem.
Clarkson Lumber Company s biggest problem by far is the fact that Mr. Clarkson had agreed to buy
out Mr. Holtz for $200,000 with semi annual installments of $50,000. It wasn t necessarily a bad idea
for Mr. Clarkson to buy out Mr. Holtz altogether, but the $100,000/year of payments is an unrealistic
amount for Clarkson Lumber at this point in time. Between 1993 and 1995, there hasn t been a year
where they have realized more than $77,000 in net income, so the payment of $100,000/year is clearly
unrealistic and a sure problem for the company. Another problem, which isn t nearly as important as
the former, is that net income is growing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This bank loan helped finance the increase in property and other related assets. The sponaneous assets
that were increased as a result of an increase in sales were financed by an increase in sponaneous
liabilities. Spontaneous liabilities have grown by 35%, which supports the claim that they finance the
increase in accounts receivable and inventories. In the period between 1993 1995, the financial
strength of Clarkson Lumber has deteriorated significantly. As seen from the financial ratios excel
spreadsheet attached, the current and quick ratios have been gone down substantially. This means that
the company s ability to meet its short term obligations has deteriorated. Furthermore, the return on
sales and return on assets have also gone down, which means that their increase in net income has not
stayed consistent with the increase in sales and increase in assets to finance these sales. Their falling
inventory turnover ratio means that even though their sales are increasing, they are not moving
inventory at the same pace they had before. Their low accounts receivable turnover ratio and high
dales sales outstanding indicates that there s a large amount of money tied in this account.

Article Summary Of On Date Rape By Camille Paglia
On Date Rape is an article written by Camille Paglia, which argues young women of today don t pay
much attention to their safety while they re enjoying the freedom with men. The author points out that
a woman should pay more attention to their safety while they spend their time with men because a
woman will likely become a victim in a rape case. In this article, the author also implies that even the
law will protect women from the rape, but women themselves should build up a self protection
awareness to keep them away from the rape crime. However, even this article points out the main
argument about self protection awareness is necessary for a woman, but more or less of its points
become fallacies of this article. Also, the focus of my article is about to analysis the article by Camille
Paglia, On Date Rape . For the following paragraphs of my article, I ll summarize her article
paragraph by paragraph briefly and analysis main fallacies of her article in detail.
Granting to the article On Date Rape by Camille Paglia, each paragraph of her article frame the main
idea about why women should pay more attention to their safety. The first paragraph of the article
explains how the author thinks about the freedom when she was a college student. When she was a
college student, she insists on breaking the rules to run outside and enjoy the freedom with a man, and
even her aunt advised her not to do that. As well, the author points out in paragraph two, women
should acknowledge the risk when they are having fun with men (Paglia). I believe that these two
paragraphs give us the background information and the main argument of this article. But the author
uses an instance of the different racial group in paragraph three, to explain the white feminists were
lack of self protection awareness compared with black or Hispanic. She explains that because the
black and Hispanic women come from a culture fill with sexuality and dangerous, that s why they will
be more vigilant (Paglia). In my view, I think this is an odd example because it seems rushed to the
conclusion without considering all of the variables about the different racial group. In the fourth
paragraph, Paglia uses a metaphor to explain even the women will have

Protected cultivation is the concept of growing potential crops in the modified natural environment for
ensuring optimum growth of the crop plants without any or least stress and hence offers great scope to
harness this potential of growing the high value crops by achieving independence of climate and

South China Sea Dispute

Nowadays, the conflict of territory solving in the world causes many complicated problems among
countries, as well as tensions in foreign policies. One of these conflicts is the dispute in South China

issue turns to be more serious as it attracts a lot of concerns from international community. This
research tries to find a clear way of understanding the South China Sea conflict, specifically about the

This research tries to present both sides of the argument on the control over the islands from the
Chinese and Vietnamese point of view, but has an emphasis on how the United States plays a vital role
in the resolution of this dispute.
Chapter 1 Historical Background
1.1 The Spratly and Paracel Islands
In order to better understand the dispute of these islands and this body of water, geography plays a
role considering the area sea is located to borders on many different regions. According Chmillier
Gendreau (2000), the south west of the Indian Ocean, the sea connects with the Straits of Malacca and
Singapore. To the north east, the sea connects with the Sea of Japan and the Strait of Korea. The
position of this body of water is interconnected with many other bodies of waters which coincide with
many countries. The islands residing in the middle of this sea therefore lies in the middle of many
different countries. The two islands, Spratly and Paracel Islands lie in the middle of the maritime zone.
Since it is in the middle, no neighboring country is really physically connected to these islands by
geography (Chemillier Gendreau, 2000, p. 16). Despite that fact, China and Vietnam both claim
sovereignty over these islands based on historical and

a healthy environment for all young children. The combination of genetics and early childhood

Tipping In Restaurants
Tipping is an expected behavior from individuals after a meal in a restaurant. However, not every
individual will leave a tip or will leave a tip that is smaller than what is expected. This is one thing
that restaurants want to change. Behaviors on tipping vary across cultures, it is a voluntary choice in
the United States but a service charge is almost always included in a bill in Europe (Hessler, 1999).
Restaurants have tried changing the tipping behavior of customers in many ways. One method that has
been implemented is including gratuity guidelines on the bill. These guidelines provide the customer a

The leadership of Grand Central make tough decisions each year, as their strategy calls for them to
cull 2 books from their three hundred, on which to focus most of their marketing time, energy and
resources. The theory is that the couple books with the most potential will carry their year in terms of
generating revenue. This strategy bears out for them. The sixty one titles Grand Central had on its
front list in 2006 incurred marketing costs of $650,000, and generated $100,000 in revenue. However,
the company s best seller from 2007 incurred marketing costs of $7m, while generating nearly $12m

Gender, Race, And Ethnicity And Power Essay
Society is complex and diverse. In such a diverse society, individuals may have different life
experiences to one another. While some individuals have positive viewpoints in the society, others
may differ in an negative aspect. In this socio autobiography, I argue that the society is an nightmare
as humans develop a whole range of complex sociological concepts. The following paragraphs will
explain the struggle of my life experiences being influenced by using the concepts of gender, race and
ethnicity and power.
My journey began the moment I entered the world on May 25, 1996. I was born and raised in a small
developed country called New Zealand. At birth, my biological sex was quickly determine as I was

result, I automatically associates with an East Asian background which is dissimilar from the Western
culture in New Zealand. I grew up as the youngest member in the family, among with one older
sibling.
The concept of gender has a strong social impact on me. When I was born, I was immediately
assigned to a biological sex as a female with two X chromosomes. I was then socially classified as a
girl in the society with feminine gender roles. Gender is defined as a social principle which attribute to
the roles and expectations of males and females through the years of different societies (Phillips,

Black Mirror By Michel Foucault s View On Modern Society
he 15 Million Merits episode of Black Mirror elucidates the view on discipline of cited humanities
scholar Michel Foucault in its futuristic take on modern day society. Foucault claims that through the
means of surveillance and observation, a natural order will take over sophisticated societies without
much policing power. By establishing common behaviors in different settings, a high level of
discipline can be achieved without effort. In many different commonly used places like schools,
factories, hospitals and prisons, a similar examination takes place among workers, patients and
prisoners, creating a similar and normal accepted behavior. In Black Mirror, the society runs smoothly
without the presence of a central figure of authority, and this directly relates to the Foucauldian view
on society. The use of advanced technology all around them creates the feeling of being watched, so
with that panoptic illusion in the forefront, the behavior of the citizens follows all rules and codes of
conduct. The structure and everyday feel of the environment is seen in the opening scene where Bing
is first introduced. The room he wakes up in is quite small and box like. It has a bed and a bathroom,
and electronic screens take the places of all the walls surrounding him. The bed sheets and his entire
outfit is a gray color, and after his wakeup call recedes from the screens, the room is plunged into an
all around darkness, which adds to Bing s outwardly somber mood. He proceeds to get

History Of Dependent Personality Disorder
Dependency is something one can consider that the human race requires naturally. When comparing
dependency and mental illness we have to be aware of such extreme forms of dependency. Dependent
Personality Disorder is the diagnosis of this extreme dependency. Individuals with this disorder can be
seen as clingy or needy . The fear of being alone and the need of assurance plague individuals with
this disorder. Due to lack of individual initiative advances individuals with this disorder may not
prevail in the workplace or educational settings. This paper details dependent personality disorder, its
historical roots, symptoms and treatments proposed to treat such disorder.
History of DPD
The history of dependent personality disorder is often classified as starting in the oral stage in Freud s
stage of development as a manifestation of dysfunction (Disney, 2013). DPD in the DSM has evolved
from several versions. The premier DSM did not distinctly categorize dependent personality disorder.
The disorder was subtype of a passive aggressive personality (Disney, 2013). Published in 1968, The
DSM II no mention of a dependency disorder was proposed individually. In hysterical personality, the
suggestion of DPD was found in the description. As in previous DSM, the passive aggressive
personality touched further into extreme dependency (Disney, 2013).
Published in 1980, The DSM III was the first to list Dependent Personality Disorder as a separate
disorder and. Criteria included

My Goals And Dedication Of Dedication
When people hear dedication, they may think about relationships or a job. Dedication means
something different to all of us. To me, dedication is more general. It is chasing a dream or goal
relentlessly yet selflessly. It has shaped me into the person I am today. Dedication emerged in me
when I first started school and competing in athletics, and it has led me to every major achievement.
Twelve years after dedication started to model me into who I am today, I realized it was shaping my
life when I became a National Merit Scholar and placed eighth at state wrestling, both in February of
2016. I looked back to all the times where dedication is all that kept me on the track of achieving my
goals and where dedication paid off. I didn t choose to value dedication; external factors grew it up
inside of me. Every youth soccer league practice and game, every wrestling practice and tournament,
and every class I had were factors in the development of dedication. It s clear what made me become
so dedicated. The question to ask myself is why these experiences instilled dedication in me. The first
place to look is wrestling. It s a sport that can build or destroy character. Wrestling builds confidence.
This confidence can grow or shrink depending on the outcome of competition. Some people become
overconfident and others settle into the perfect amount of confidence. I believe I fall into the latter
group. Practice can grow humility and dedication by fighting through

Student s First Amendment Rights
Student s First Amendment Rights: Kindergarten Student Playing a Game If a student says, I am going
to shoot you during recess to his friends, does the school have a right to take disciplinary actions? Is it
a violation of the student s First Amendment? School officials can restrict speech activities on any
student in a school if it has been established there was harm or threats made against others, including
teachers. Although the First Amendment states freedom of expression, school officials may punish
students for expressing their personal views on school grounds. With the case of S.G. v. Sayreville
Board of Education [1], a school s right to discipline a student was questioned by parental
guardianship. The Case: S.G. v. Sayreville Board of Education (2003) Wilson Elementary School in
Sayreville, New Jersey, began disciplining a number of students for making remarks of threat and acts
of gun violence against teachers and students. Over the course of a week (in early March 2000), three
unrelated incidences occurred: one elementary student stated I m going to shoot you towards another
student, a second student threatened to shoot a teacher with his parent s gun, and a third student
threatened to put a gun in a classmate s mouth to kill him. From the time of the incidences and
suspensions given to all the students involved, the principal, Georgia Baumann addressed every class
in regards to the severity of making threatening actions with a weapon.

Human Rights Violations In Saudi Arabia
Universal human rights are guaranteed to all humans, regardless of their gender, religion, ethnicity, or
background. They also apply to prisoners. Detailing human rights violations in Saudi Arabia, The
United States Department of State explains, The following significant human rights problems were
reported: no right to change the government peacefully; torture and physical abuse; poor prison and
detention center conditions; arbitrary arrest and incommunicado detention; denial of fair and public
trials and lack of due process in the judicial system; political prisoners; restrictions on civil liberties
such as freedoms of speech (including the internet), assembly, association, movement, and severe
restrictions on religious freedom; and corruption and lack of government transparency (United States).
Saudi Arabia is violent towards prisoners and speaking freely against the state is a punishable crime.
Therefore, the power of the individuals at the top of the vertical power structure have the threat of
violence as a weapon in ensuring absolute compliance by citizens.
In order to promote a peaceful global climate, global accountability from outside countries is
necessary to keep Saudi Arabia from infringing on the rights of individuals both within and outside
their borders. The overall sociopolitical ideology of Saudi Arabia, operating culturally under a
patriarchal system of absolute power, is dangerous to the fabric of humanity. Militant intervention into

How Did The Suez Crisis Change Canada
During the 1950s Canadian lives and history changed forever. The Suez Crisis was a political and
military confrontation in Egypt that had a threat on the US and Great Britain. The Crisis brought
Canadians together to help produce a large scale peacemaking mission. Canada s role in the Korean
war was to protect South Korea as part of the United Nations and to work as peacekeepers after the
war had ended. This war was the first time that women joined senior military ranks, a huge step for
Canada and equal rights. Another major event that transformed Canadian history was the creation of
NORAD. The North American Air Defence Agreement between the US and Canada monitors missile
launches throughout the world, and detects enemy aircraft or missiles ... Show more content on

that had been previously run by French with Britain having a part also. In the same year Britain, Israel,
and France invaded the canal zone, but soon Britain was close to bankruptcy fighting a war they could
not afford, still they refused to withdraw. The Crisis threatened to separate the US and Great Britain ,
harming the Western military alliance the won the second world war. Canadian Lester B. Pearson
worked hard to find a solution that would allow the British, Israelites, and French to save lives and
head home. As the crisis began to escalate Pearson proposed the idea of the first United Nations peace
keeping force. All things considered because of the outrage in the General Assembly and anger in
Washington it was not allowed. Instead Pearson abandons this idea and proposes a real UN force
without British or French forces. Finally in early November, the General Assembly showed incredible
support for his proposal to secure and supervise the cessation of hostilities . (Colyer, Cecillon, Draper,
and Hoogeveen, 2010, p286). Within two weeks advance peace keeping units arrive in Egypt. Pearson
was rewarded with the Nobel Peace Prize in 1957 for his role in creating the UN s first modern
peacekeeping force that would eventually lead to UN sponsored peacekeeping missions around the
world for decades to come. (Tattrie, 2015,

Dehydration Effects
Dehydration Effects
Dehydration is the excessive loss of water resulting in depletion of body fluids (Grosvenor amp;
Smolin, 2006, p. 282). When the body goes through dehydration there can be many symptoms. Some
of these symptoms can include: feelings of nausea, light headedness, and feeling dizzy. Dehydration
can cause symptoms to show more rapidly than any other vitamin deficiency. With other vitamin
deficiencies, days or weeks can pass before symptoms are felt by the body (Grosvenor amp; Smolin,
2006). Symptoms can be seen when dehydrated after only an hour of activity on a hot day. Water is
essential to health maintenance because the human body is more than half water. The typical adult s
body weight is about 60% water. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The minor symptoms of dehydration will go away quickly after replacing the lost water but if left
untreated medical attention may be necessary. While it may be difficult to consume too much water,
overhydrating can be as dangerous as dehydrating. Water toxicity can be the result of consuming too
much water. Some of the early symptoms of water toxicity can be similar to dehydration. Nausea,
muscle cramps, disorientation, and confusion are just some of the symptoms of water toxicity. To help
prevent water toxicity it is recommended that beverages containing dilute solutions of sodium as well
as sugar, such as sports beverages, be used to replace water losses when exercise continues for more
than an hour (Grosvenor amp; Smolin, 2006, p. 287). Electrolytes are important because they help
maintain acid base in the body. Electrolytes are substances that separate in water to form positively
and negatively charged ions that conduct an electrical current (Grosvenor amp; Smolin, 2006, p. 287).
The three key electrolytes in the body are sodium, potassium, and chloride. It is important to control
the amount of sodium excreted from the body because sodium helps to regulate blood pressure. If the
body loses more sodium than it takes in blood pressure can drop. When this happens the body will
release proteins and hormones to help the kidneys retain water and sodium. Renin is an enzyme that

Pop, Country, Rap, Or Classical Music
Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and
charm and gaiety to life and to everything. ~Plato. Plato was one of the more highly regarded
philosophers of his time. H e made some fantastic discoveried throughout his life, but this might be
one of the more relevant and profound to today s society. Music can be described in so many ways.
Even more than in Plato s time because he probably wasn t busting rhymes in a rap battle every other
weekend. Although music has evolved highly since his time, his statement remains true. Music creates
a soul for the universe and it does so through many different genres. A few examples could be Pop,
Country, Rap, or Classical. These genres vary greatly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The idea of rap is all about music that is not understandable and confusing. The ultimate sound of rap
resounds as garbled and electronic. The idea of rap revolves around lack of musical talent and relying
on a computer. Although this is not everyone s position, it is true, but Pop has a different sound. The
sound of pop still hints at the electronic nature of rap, but it differs in the fact that it is understandable.
It still lacks the true instrumental sound that country and classical entertain. The pop usually has
strong vocals and good harmony, but it retains the computerized sound that is similar to rap. Moving
on, Classical has a simple, yet complex sound. It has lost all of the complex electronic sound that rap
and pop retain. This genre falls short in the category of understanding. Especially when teachers play
it too loudly during a test. Although it usually has the smoothest sound, the vocals can sometimes be
too long and confusing. Finally, Country has the best sound out of these four type of music. The genre
of Country music has a complex mix of instruments without the complex computerization. It also is
very understandable and the sound is comforting in a

  • 3. How Does Lan Samantha Chang Use Symbols In Housepainting An author often uses symbolism in order to give the reader a clue into a deeper meaning behind the story. A symbol is an object, person, place, or experience that represents something else, usually something abstract. Symbols challenge the readers simple explanation while relating to the everyday experience. In order to add depth to their stories, authors often use symbols to help the reader gain a greater understanding of the story. In the Housepainting, the author, Lan Samantha Chang, uses the house to represent Frances happiness. When Wei tries to paint the house, Frances begins to realize she does not want her life to change. This house is a constant in her life and as Wei paints it, she sees her freedom fade away. She struggles with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A symbol that is an important part of the story is the clock. When the author is describing the rooms he says, It was in this apartment, also, that there stood against the western wall a gigantic clock of ebony (Poe 370). The clock symbolizes the readers lifetime. The numbers on the clock symbolize our age. When the clock strikes 12:00 we are born and when it makes it full circle then we die. This symbol adds to the suspense in the story, especially in the instance of when the clock struck at each hour. The whole party went silent and the choir stopped singing. This make the clock an important symbol in the story because it relates an everyday to have a deeper meaning. The final symbol in The Masque of Red Death is the character Red Death. In the introduction of the story Red Death is described as fatal and that, Blood was its Avatar and its seal (Poe 369). Using extreme detail to describe Red Death adds to the dark and suspenseful atmosphere of the story. When Poe uses the description, The mask which concealed the visage was made so nearly to resemble the countenance of a stiffened corpse that the closest scrutiny must have had difficulty in detecting the cheat, it adds to the creepy atmosphere of the story (Poe ... • 4. Character Analysis Of Empire Rising In the novel Empire Rising, Michael Briody is a confident, idealistic ironworker from Greenwich Village Ireland. Originally a soldier fighting in the Civil War, Briody escaped prison camp and came to America to start a new life in the Bronx. Due to the hardships he faced in Ireland and trying to get a job in America, Briody now carries an immense love for the work he does on the Empire State Building. The job he does with the rest of the rivet crew is one of the only things that distracts him from the guilt of being a hitman. His other diversion is the relationship he pursues with Grace Masterson, another Irish immigrant who lives on a houseboat. Briody s strong feelings for Grace are ultimately what lead to his potentially avoidable demise. The personality traits that Briody carries remain the same throughout the novel, even when he is faced with hardships. He can only be described as a man of dedication and loyalty who trusts his instincts and doesn t back down easily. Briody s dedication shows itself in the novel through his love for working. He s described as an ironworkers posterboy, (06) which further explains that he is devoted to the work he does on the Empire State Building. The book mentions on multiple occasions that Briody is addicted to the way building something so monumental makes him feel. Actually, I m truly happy when I m on the job. This report form 1929, focused on the issue of overcrowding in the federal prison system and how federal judges in Minnesota indicated a need of more federal prison farms in the northern part of the state. Barstow reasoned that a prison farm could bring income and jobs to the town to make up for the economic fall of the quarry and railroad. The town had a piece of land that had not been cleared across the Kettle Rover to the east of the Sandstone that Barstow thought would be perfect. Barstow recruited the help of Senator Adolph Larson, Dr. Homer p. Dredge, and businessman John F. Hawley. These four men, later known as the prison farm four, called a town meeting and formed a committee with a goal of obtaining a federal farm for Sandstone. The U.S. department of Justice had already announced intent to build a new prison farm in Minnesota, but Sandstone was not the only town bidding for a new institution. IGF 1 or the Insulin like Growth Factor 1 also known as Somatomedin C is named because of its structure that is relatively similar to the hormone insulin. • 8. Uncertainty Reduction Theory Essay The Uncertainty Reduction Theory states that before and during initial interactions between two people, one s first instinct is to reduce uncertainty about the other through various methods. For example, when you see someone you think you would like to know, you try and figure out what they are like through various methods so you can control the conversation and steer it into a path that the other person finds interesting. There are a few methods, or strategies, of figuring out what the other person likes: passive, active, and interactive. In the passive strategy, you try to find out the other person s interests through observation from afar. This happens most frequently in what is commonly referred to as small talk. Since I am a rather shy person, I don t generally use the active nor the interactive strategy of reducing uncertainty. However, because I do spend most of my time online, the easiest way of finding out more information about someone is through passive strategy. While most people do think it s a little creepy to search for someone specifically, even more would agree that it would be creepy to start a conversation with friends of a person you re searching about online. In real life encounters, I still generally use the passive strategy of observing people, mainly because my social skills are less than adequate. From my non experience, I can infer that each of the interpersonal encounters have their benefits and drawbacks. The passive strategy does get you information about the person you re looking for, but if it comes up how you got the information you know, it could severely impact the potential relationship you could have with that person. The active strategy gives you information by proxy, and also has the added bonus of getting to know the kind of people your person socializes with, as well. Unfortunately, as previously stated, faulty information is easy to get with this method, and it s possible the people you talk with will tell the person you want to know, causing them to avoid you. Technological Advances And Its Impact On The United States From the time when the first English colonies were established in North America until now, there has been some form of armed fighting force in place to protect the interests of the United States and its colonial progenitors. During the roughly four centuries in which this fighting force has existed, it has undergone numerous changes of varying degrees of significance. The conflict that eventually grew into King William s War would provide one of the first opportunities for fighters from different colonies to cooperate in a larger military conflict on behalf of the English Empire, and also to develop a sense of resentment toward the Crown for its perceived failure to defend the colonies adequately (Williams, pp. 23 24). The colonists had inherited their ancestors distrust of a standing army, primarily since they saw such an army as a tool for the repression of liberty (Flashnick, Week 1). After the failure of the English army to assist the colonial fighters to any meaningful degree during King William s War, this distrust was confirmed and amplified. Two long term effects of the conflict were that it reinforced the American preference for the citizen soldier and, by virtue of forcing cooperation between the colonies, it paved the way for what would eventually become a united continental army. Queen Anne s War was the second successive conflict during this period of transition for the colonial armed forces. The colonies once again were forced to cooperate militarily, this time to an even greater extent than had been the case during King William s War. This second war involved more of the colonies than had previously fought together at any time, albeit with a substantial degree of reluctance on the part of many, and ... The SKCP broke the river down into three sections, all have the same spotted knapweed concerns and goals, but have slightly different soil ecosystems. The first section starts at the headwaters and runs to Nye, MT (See Attachment 6) about river mile 35; this stretch contains faster moving stretches of rapids, but also areas that are very slow moving and slough. The higher river banks in the faster moving areas have rockier soil, and more drastic soil erosion caused by spotted knapweed. The slow areas and sloughs, like near Lake Sioux Charley (See Attachment 7), the largest moving slough, have moist, less rocky soil, and not as conducive growing environment for spotted knapweed. This area is primarily back country, already designated trails, and is deeply wooded in some areas, but is the least of the SKCP concern. Its annual average growth from 1995 2000 was 5.1% but dropped to 3.02 % over the next 10 years. In the wake of the global financial crisis, Mexico GDP further took a nose drive by a 6.2% decrease; the economy is gradually normalizing as the GDP expanded to at 2.1% in 2014 a two year consecutive growth. It is expected to modestly rebound in 2015 to 2.7% before averaging a robust 3.5% between the fiscal year 2016 2019 this growth when compared with other regional peers is slow, a reflection of the country weak trade ties with Asia. It has been argued that successful implementation of structural reform could potentially eliminate some competitive bottleneck thus boosting the economy to 4 5% by 2019 (export.gov) but this is an unlikely achievement in light of the persisting institutional weakness towards implementing government reform program. I will explain the strengths and weaknesses of naturalistic observation through the key developmental milestones based in Mary Sheridan (2005) check list and provide a theoretical explanation to support the naturalistic observation. First of all I would like to explain why the child observation is important for social workers. The observation made me reflect and discover the child s interests, I could assess his developmental levels and I have observed what strategies were being used to attain their goals. After the observation I reflected upon it and realised that I have learned a lot about their personalities and skills that they need to practice. Secondly, it is important to consider the strengths of naturalistic observation as a method. This was identified when the child was consistently moving and doing different activities that allowed me to understand how he communicates with other children, how he behaves and what he learns from others. In the play setting the child was able to develop his thinking and according to the Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families (DOH, 2000) through social relationships, the child was encouraged to express his feelings, emotions, which was achieved by the setting creating an enjoyment environment. Cognitive developments allow the child to begin to understand and interact with the environment and see things from the carer s point of view, adjusting behaviours accordingly and understanding that the carer has goals and plans, therefore, and the relationship is seen as partnership. I must answer with, You decide where, when, and how you re going to find the precious boxed artifact. Will you find it in the attic or in the corner of the spacious basement? Will you dig it up in your backyard, underneath the scraggly, sunlit grass? I don t know. It s your fate. The Food And Drug Administration In 2000, the US Food and Drug Administration issued a health claim which states that consuming foods containing plant sterol and stanol esters along with other low cholesterol and saturated fat foods can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease (Jones, Vanstone, Raeini Sarjaz, St Onge, 2003). Today, many functional foods in the form of margarines, spread, yogurt, and others, have been enriched with phytosterols and advocated as being able to reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. Phytosterols have been known for its cholesterol lowering effect by blocking absorption of cholesterol in the intestines. However, there are controversies surrounding the efficacy of phytosetrol that are enriched in foods in reducing cholesterol levels. Many studies have also demonstrated the efficacy of phytosterol enriched foods. VĂĄsquez Trespalacios and Romero Palacio (2014) and Amundsen, Ose, Nenseter, and Ntanios (2002) have demonstrated the efficacy of phytosterol enriched foods in reducing total and LDL cholesterol levels. However, there are also many studies that show otherwise. For example, Jones et al. (2003) and Weingärtner et al. (2016) have shown that phytosterol supplemented foods did not have any effect on total and LDL cholesterol levels. The debate regarding the efficacy of phytosterol in functional foods is crucial as phytosterol enriched foods can potentially be a solution to a continuous increase in population suffering from cardiovascular diseases. • 23. Essay on Clarkson Lumber questions Clarkson Lumber Company 1. Identify the key problem in the case and explaining why it is the key problem. Clarkson Lumber Company s biggest problem by far is the fact that Mr. Clarkson had agreed to buy out Mr. Holtz for $200,000 with semi annual installments of $50,000. It wasn t necessarily a bad idea for Mr. Clarkson to buy out Mr. Holtz altogether, but the $100,000/year of payments is an unrealistic amount for Clarkson Lumber at this point in time. Between 1993 and 1995, there hasn t been a year where they have realized more than $77,000 in net income, so the payment of $100,000/year is clearly unrealistic and a sure problem for the company. In the period between 1993 1995, the financial strength of Clarkson Lumber has deteriorated significantly. As seen from the financial ratios excel spreadsheet attached, the current and quick ratios have been gone down substantially. This means that the company s ability to meet its short term obligations has deteriorated. Furthermore, the return on sales and return on assets have also gone down, which means that their increase in net income has not stayed consistent with the increase in sales and increase in assets to finance these sales. Their falling inventory turnover ratio means that even though their sales are increasing, they are not moving inventory at the same pace they had before. Their low accounts receivable turnover ratio and high dales sales outstanding indicates that there s a large amount of money tied in this account. 4. How attractive is it to take the trade discounts? • 25. Article Summary Of On Date Rape By Camille Paglia On Date Rape is an article written by Camille Paglia, which argues young women of today don t pay much attention to their safety while they re enjoying the freedom with men. The author points out that a woman should pay more attention to their safety while they spend their time with men because a woman will likely become a victim in a rape case. In this article, the author also implies that even the law will protect women from the rape, but women themselves should build up a self protection awareness to keep them away from the rape crime. However, even this article points out the main argument about self protection awareness is necessary for a woman, but more or less of its points become fallacies of this article. Also, the focus of my article is about to analysis the article by Camille Paglia, On Date Rape . For the following paragraphs of my article, I ll summarize her article paragraph by paragraph briefly and analysis main fallacies of her article in detail. Granting to the article On Date Rape by Camille Paglia, each paragraph of her article frame the main idea about why women should pay more attention to their safety. The first paragraph of the article explains how the author thinks about the freedom when she was a college student. When she was a college student, she insists on breaking the rules to run outside and enjoy the freedom with a man, and even her aunt advised her not to do that. As well, the author points out in paragraph two, women should acknowledge the risk when they are having fun with men (Paglia). I believe that these two paragraphs give us the background information and the main argument of this article. But the author uses an instance of the different racial group in paragraph three, to explain the white feminists were lack of self protection awareness compared with black or Hispanic. She explains that because the black and Hispanic women come from a culture fill with sexuality and dangerous, that s why they will be more vigilant (Paglia). In my view, I think this is an odd example because it seems rushed to the conclusion without considering all of the variables about the different racial group. • 41. Black Mirror By Michel Foucault s View On Modern Society he 15 Million Merits episode of Black Mirror elucidates the view on discipline of cited humanities scholar Michel Foucault in its futuristic take on modern day society. Foucault claims that through the means of surveillance and observation, a natural order will take over sophisticated societies without much policing power. By establishing common behaviors in different settings, a high level of discipline can be achieved without effort. In many different commonly used places like schools, factories, hospitals and prisons, a similar examination takes place among workers, patients and prisoners, creating a similar and normal accepted behavior. In Black Mirror, the society runs smoothly without the presence of a central figure of authority, and this directly relates to the Foucauldian view on society. • 43. My Goals And Dedication Of Dedication When people hear dedication, they may think about relationships or a job. Dedication means something different to all of us. To me, dedication is more general. It is chasing a dream or goal relentlessly yet selflessly. It has shaped me into the person I am today. Dedication emerged in me when I first started school and competing in athletics, and it has led me to every major achievement. Twelve years after dedication started to model me into who I am today, I realized it was shaping my life when I became a National Merit Scholar and placed eighth at state wrestling, both in February of 2016. I looked back to all the times where dedication is all that kept me on the track of achieving my goals and where dedication paid off. I didn t choose to value dedication; external factors grew it up inside of me. Every youth soccer league practice and game, every wrestling practice and tournament, and every class I had were factors in the development of dedication. It s clear what made me become so dedicated. The question to ask myself is why these experiences instilled dedication in me. The first place to look is wrestling. It s a sport that can build or destroy character. Wrestling builds confidence. This confidence can grow or shrink depending on the outcome of competition. Some people become overconfident and others settle into the perfect amount of confidence. I believe I fall into the latter group. Practice can grow humility and dedication by fighting through ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
