SAT by Danielle Ofri
In a life of poverty, illnesses surround its inhabitant. From poor nutrition to unfit living conditions
come afflictions that range from a cough to polio. And as a society we preoccupy ourselves with the
short comings of poverty. Creating a revolving door at hospitals treating the poor for their present
illnesses, but paying no mind in preventing them for the future. In SAT, Ofri describes her experience
as a doctor treating an impoverished unambitious young man, Nemesio Rios. Instead of just following
up on Rios routine check up, Ofri decides to prepare Rios for the SAT so that he could have a chance
to go to college. For educational preparation is the preventative medicine for ones future well being

It was the corpse of a child who had been shot in the chest. At first thought she wanted to wake him up
tell him to get up off the cutting table and leave. But, then as Ofri gazed at the bullet hole in the child s
chest, Ofri was left wishing that time could be have been reversed, so that child could have moved six
inches to the right, so he could escape the bullet the stole his life. That sight and feeling of the young
boy on the cutting table are what compelled Ofri to help Rios. Ofri viewed Rios the same way she
viewed the boy on the table. However, in this new case Ofri could give Rios the six inches he needed.
As Ofri viewed it, taking the SAT s was the best thing she could recommend for Rios long term health.
Which, Rios gladly accepted after Ofri quelled Rios negative thoughts, by telling him that there was
no history portion in the SAT s. Under the condition that Rios bring an SAT prep book for the next
three appointments Ofri helped Rios prepare for the SAT s. After those three meetings it was all left up
to Rios. Ofri lost touch with Rios. Despite Ofri s desire to know the out come of Rios efforts in the
Sat, she never got to know. Although Ofri did find satisfaction in helping Rios, if only a little, as well
as expanding her own knowledge.
In the less then perfect ending Ofri learned the new meaning of preemptive medicine. She

The system has been focusing that its customers will have a complete satisfaction when it comes to
layout and construction.
Nypro Inc is a market driven company and thus the company will have to put much focus on the
market and allowing the market to see the company is in the process of making its services and
product more satisfactory to needs of the consumer. The efficiency of the implementation of navoplast
system hinges on the fact that it is a solution to make Nypro competitive. Competitiveness was not
only being against other manufacturing companies but against the company itself to improve the real
potential and the capabilities of Nypro Inc as its answer of technology.
One of the main issues that Nypro faces is how to compete in the future. Nypro has created a system
where it is able to capitalize on its current market through its various innovation and alliances with
their current customers. Nypro s competitors started being competitive by able to duplicate their
processes .Nypro should not only focus on quality and innovation but should keep a check on demand
and demanding speed. Nypro with its current equipment may not have the necessary flexibility
demanded by the market; it does not allow rapid prototyping. Nypro has an issue to decide how
effectively to utilize the recurrent demands of the market.

Shawnee Tribe Research Paper
The Shawnee Tribe, since first encountering Europeans in 1677, the group has encountered issues,
such as population decrease. But as of twenty first century, the tribe has regained a following. For the
most part, the Shawnee have abandoned their nomadic roots. They have taken on modern tasks,
realizing that they would need to keep up with the times in order to survive. Currently occupying
regions of Oklahoma and Missouri, the tribe has split into three large groups, the Absentee Shawnee,
Eastern Shawnee, and Loyal Shawnee. Together, the three groups have around 8,000 members in total.
The customs and traditions of the Shawnee have for the most part, been abandoned by its people.
However, the Absentee shows a strong connection with their culture. ... Show more content on

The Eastern Shawnee also maintained partial ownership in several oil wells near the reservation. Each
of the groups found ways to prosper, and in doing so, they gained a following. Early 21st century
population estimates indicated some 12,000 individuals of Shawnee relations, by descent or affiliation.
The three main Shawnee groups are striving for economic self sufficiency and they are meeting their
goals. They are better off than many tribes and have better housing, with casinos helping to fund
programs to improve the lives of tribe members and provide employment for some of their people. In
spite of the fact that the Shawnee tribe has encountered firm improvements in the 21st Century, for
example, a casino, school, and smoke shop, the tribe has almost deserted their culture like their
language and religions. Tradition is important, but sacrifices must be made in order to survive. With
the sacrifices, the tribe has been able to flourish in the 21st century, andhe tribe is much better off than

Persuasive Essay About Ufos
The ongoing wonder on whether or not extraterrestrial life exists is not going to go away after this
news. UFO researchers unveiled yet another NASA image of the sun that they claim is a spacecraft.
However, NASA, who usually never comments on this kind if stuff, talked a little bit about the
supposedly new discovery.
YET ANOTHER SUPPOSED UFO SPOTTED
NASA has the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory satellite that is constantly monitoring the sun. This
satellite is orbiting the sun 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with absolutely no interruptions. The
researchers showed the newest image that the satellite took, and there certainly looked like there was
something around it. However, considering how hot the sun is, that seems very unlikely. However, that

In one story there was a reported UFO that was the size of the moon. As a matter of fact, there was
two such instances that were reported. Another researcher claimed that they saw around one thousand
rockets near the sun. This is an ongoing claim that will seemingly never stop.
WHAT NASA IS SAYING ABOUT THIS
NASA usually does not like talking about UFO sightings, but they did talk a little about this latest
claim. However, NASA is not quite sold on the fact that these are indeed UFO sightings. The members
of NASA state that images like this are most likely hot spots. Hot spots make it look like something is
there, but in actuality it is just emanating extreme brightness. NASA also stated how in the past they
have been accused of covering up UFO sightings, and that people won t accept their explanations.
WILL NASA LOOK INTO THIS MORE?
The more times that this comes up, the more interested NASA is going to become. It seems fairly clear
that NASA does not believe these are alien spacecrafts. However, eventually they might have to take a

What Is My Journey To Music Essay
Picking up a new instrument or musical skill may not be the first thing that appeals to you as a great
activity for retirement. It is the sort of activity that, at first glance, may seem too challenging to start at
this stage of life.
After all, those of us who have put in many years in the workforce are probably used to being the
expert in the room. Becoming a student again picking up something new that we are not already good
at may seem like a recipe for frustration and failure. Because we are not necessarily guaranteed to be
surrounded by other people our age who are also just learning, the prospect of embarking on such a
musical journey may seem daunting. Apart from the joy to be derived from the music itself, a number

Causes And Effects Of The Green Revolution
When people discuss the Green Revolution they are talking about the quick adoption of new
technologies and the introduction of new scientifically bred crop varieties. The Green Revolution took
place due to inadequate amounts of food, depleted land, and economic poverty. Many changes
occurred as a result, some being positive and some being negative. A positive effect of the Green
Revolution was an increased amount of food being available for the population. However, the reduced
availability of nutritious crops, water shortages, and increased tensions and conflicts deterred some
gains of the movement. Because of this, the Green Revolution was more harmful than helpful. There
were many major issues around the world that brought around the start of the Green Revolution. One
major cause was the inadequate amount of food in relation to the population. In Doc. 1, a graph is
provided that compares the wheat yielded in Mexico and India from 1950 2010. From 1950 1970, the
graph shows that Mexico s crops yielded low amounts of wheat. For India, the graph shows that the
crops yielded low amounts of wheat from 1965 1985 which was after the Green Revolution began.
The purpose of this graph was to provide the statistics on wheat yielded and how it changed over the
decades. The intended audience of this graph was the scientists who wanted to see the progression
before and after the revolution. This graph is significant to the topic because it shows that the low
amount of wheat yielded

systems: library orientation, bibliographic instruction, and information literacy. For the time period

Ceiling For Organs
The United States government has set the Price ceiling for the selling of organs at $0, meaning it is
illegal to sell organs for a profit. However, many tend to disagree with the law and believe a free
market could lead to an efficient distribution for organs. While it is illegal, there are some ways to get
the organ you need. For example, Susan Stephens was a woman whose son needed a kidney, but hers
was not a match. Susan then realized if she was to donate her kidney to a person in need, her son
would go up on the waiting list. The deal went through and Susan was able to save two lives with her
offer. After this story came out, many wondered where the line was drawn from legal to illegal. Could
people exchange in organ for tuition? Or, could people exchange an organ for a car? ... Show more

The average human is born with two kidneys, yet a person only needs one to survive. This fact makes
giving a kidney to someone in need common sense. However, most would not volunteer to go under
surgery for nothing in return. If the government were to remove the price ceiling for organs, there
would be no shortage for kidneys, people who need money would now have a chance making a profit,
and people who need a kidney now have a better chance of saving their life. Since people who can
afford a kidney could now buy one, people who could not afford one go far up the waiting list so that
they would not have to wait several years. Overall, I strongly agree that removing the price ceiling on
organs could benefit the person in need of some extra cash and the person whose life depends on a

My First Temple Research Paper
Driving up to the snow dusted gravel road that lead to what would be my first temple experience, I

Informative Essay On Twin
Introduction: We go together like copy and paste. Some people would say it s just a twin thing you
wouldn t understand. All throughout your life you are asked who was born first, are you identical or
fraternal, you guys do know you look nothing alike, can you feel each other s pain, do you guys fight,
do you guys do everything together, or even how do I tell you guys apart. Another question we are
asked is so that means you have the same birthday, right . Don t get me wrong there are many
advantages of being a twin, but along with those advantages comes many disadvantages.
Main point: First let me start by telling you what the really meaning of twin is. The term twins
actually comes from the ancient German word twin or twine meaning two together. There are identical
twins, and fraternal twins. Identical twins mean that they develop from one zygote that splits and
forms two embryos, or dizygotic or also known as fraternal, meaning that they develop from two eggs.
A big thing that people do not understand is that twins can be two girls, two boys, or even a boy and a
girl. Growing up I went to school many different sets of twins and none of us act the same so when we
get asked what it is like to be a twin, we can only answer for our twin experience and not for
everyone. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Racial Diversity Analysis
The purpose of this article is to first understand the policies related to racial diversity. From that point,
it analyzes the possibilities to restructure these campus policies to incorporate Asian Americans as an
equity manner. Different experiences for Asian Americans in higher education through the years are
interesting as a diversity point of view. Asian Americans students have access to financial aid and
other social service during their staying in the United States. In addition, they also face several
limitations to these services that make many investigators as well as people related to education to
misunderstand the range of Asian American students experiences. Participation and perceptions from
these students were critical to shape and give a specific pattern to current practices, and policies will

The article then discusses about the recurrent inquisitions such as Are you American? or Do you speak
English ? by explain who can count as an American or not. Most of the detentions and confinements
of many Japanese Americans during the World War II explains how the formulation of foreignness
became incorporated. Regarding this issue, the article points several researchers that highlight the
unique positioning of Asian Americans during the past and present realities in order to analyze those
oppressive forces, which worked to deny citizenship and immigration rights during those years. Many
researchers related in the field of education that have been working to disappear the model minority
stereotype also find that the perception held by the public is more laborious and may take more time to
overcome within higher education circles, where the label of Asian American excellence seems to be
at its highest because of its social and economic implications which are attached to educational
completion at its best levels. By 1980, an emerging generation of Asian American college students

My Experience At A University Level
This course has become a journey for me. It has been one of my first classes at a university level. I
have learned many valuable skills and lessons. I know they will be of great use to me in my further
years at college, and in life. First, I learned that if I follow instructions and meet the criteria that is
expected of me I can do very well. Secondly, I had the opportunity to learn how to develop a resume
for college and work use. Having a resume that is up to standards and knowing what I need to modify,
in the years to come, is extremely helpful when I am trying to obtain an occupation. Additionally, I
also obtained the knowledge and skills on how to conduct research. Learning how to use the OSU
library website to be able to find academic databases has been extremely helpful. I have learned how
to access the databases and be able to search and obtain what I need. Even though, my other classes
have not required me to conduct research, I may have to conduct research in the years to come.
Knowing how to navigate the website and conduct my research will make it easier. I am very pleased
with myself that I chose to do the extra credit that was offered. I knew that many professors did not
offer the opportunity to gain extra credit. When I heard how many opportunities and points that I
could potentially obtained I knew I had to try. Which, I am glad I did. The extra credit helped
tremendously. Seeing the results reflect on my grade made me realize that I was on the right track.

Blood transfusion is the process of transferring blood from one person, which is the donor, to another
person, which is the recipient. The earliest research of blood transfusion started in the 17th century, a
British physician named William Harvey discovered the circulation and properties of blood, which
then inspired others to operate blood transfusions. This led to the first successful blood transfusion in

The Traits of Mark Anthony
Mark Antony has been portrayed as a loyal friend, a hero, an adulterer, and a drug addict. That
represents a wide range of attributes for a single man to inherit. Did Mark Antony really possess all of
these traits? Mark Antony was a much simpler man than his portrayal. Mark Antony embodied a
stereotypical jock. Brutus stated Antony s propensity to sports, to wildness and much company
(II.i.196). Mark Antony participated in the race of Lupercal, an equestrian race in which athletes
participated during a Roman festival. Wildness could have alluded to Antony s gambling habits, and
much company could reference Antony s inability to confine himself to one woman (II.i.196). In spite
of Antony s faithlessness toward his wife, he held extreme loyalty to Caesar. Antony became very
emotional about the death of Caesar. He strove to create the illusion of friendship with Caesar s
murderers in order to make them feel comfortable; Antony wanted them to let their guard down so it
would be easier to help Caesar s spirit, which was ranging for revenge (III.i.285). He spoke to them as
if he sympathized with their cause and strived to make them feel comfortable. However, they fled the
city while he conveyed his speech to the plebeians at Caesar s funeral. Antony exhibited popularity in
Rome, so the plebeians respected his opinion. The funeral speech convinced the plebeians of his cause

Netflix could pursue movie studios if it can build up a higher number of customers who are watching

could result in removing part of their customers who enjoy the low 7.99 rate. Therefore Netflix would
become something that it is trying to compete against which is the bigger cable providers. An avenue
that Netflix is best suited for is creating original shows, and movies such as House of Cards. For

Income inequality is assessed by using Gini coefficient (Gini, 1909) and it is one of the commonly
used measurement tools across the globe. The Gini coefficient is normally explained by using Lorenz
curve where the income of individuals are arranged from the lowest income level to the highest
income level (Lorenz, 1905). A Gini coefficient with zero means perfect equality, whistle one or 100
percent means maximum inequality (Rogerson, 2013) . Based on income inequality measurement tool;

RAI Score Analysis
The new year has arrived and seniors have started their final year of high school. This means applying
for college, considering scholarships, and planning for the future has begun. These three things alone
have caused stress to many seniors. Completing a college application is typically the first of many
steps taken by seniors. Colleges look to see what a student can bring to the college, whether that be in
arts, sciences, music, etc. In the application, differences between students are formed which allows a
college to decide whether or not they can help the student be successful.
The application process alone is very time consuming. If a student were to apply to multiple colleges,
various applications must be completed. However, the Common App can be used to apply to multiple
schools in state and out of state. If a student were to apply to any of the three state schools, an RAI

As well as an addition of the RAI score, cost has risen substantially over the years. This alone can

future husband and her eskimo life. Miyax wakes up in the beginning stranded in the arctic tundra.
Once she has woken up she finds herself pondering about what she has done and what she has to do.
The theme in Julie of the Wolves is affected by the conflict and the point of view throughout the story.
Miyax demonstrates the spirit of never giving up throughout the book. In the beginning, Miyax shows
that she never gives up when she has to survive in the wilderness by learning to communicate with the
wolf pack that she stumbled upon. For instance on pages 5, 6, and 11 she is having trouble
communicating with the wolves because the leader of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, in the beginning the book it shows how when she wakes up, Miyax does not say ¨I woke
up.¨ Instead, the author says ¨... she had come upon them two sleeps ago. ¨ This is demonstrated on
page 5 where the narrator does not say ¨I woke up and found the wolf pack two sleeps ago.¨ Instead,
she says ¨Lying on her stomach ... and focused her attention on the wolves she had come upon two
sleeps ago.¨(Craighead) In the middle the narrator says ¨She did not look up for she knew his routine.¨
This can be found on page 101 at the bottom of the page. Finally, in the end the author says, ¨She slept
until daybreak, saw that it was still snowing, and dozed... ¨ This can be found on page 127 in the
middle of the page. Also, if the book were written in first person, ¨she¨ would not be in the sentence,
and the author (being Miyax) would say ¨and I dozed¨ instead of ¨and dozed¨. Throughout the book
Miyax does show how she never gives up and that is what everybody should always think and

Marketing Plan For The Whirlpool Corporation
The Whirlpool Corporation is a multinational corporation with its world headquarters located in
Benton Harbor, Michigan. Whirlpool manufacturers home appliances including Kitchen Aid, Maytag,
and Amana. First started in 1911, manufacturing electric hand wringers, it has grown into a global
world leader in home appliances manufacture.
Growth strategies
1. Internal growth This is growth from within the corporation using internal resources. This would
include focusing on new products or a new marketing plan. (Chand 2016)
a. Market penetration: Whirlpool saw a decrease in business by 2012 in the U.S. market but has
increased market penetration through efforts such as new products and renewed advertising. In 2014,
from the Whirlpool ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 2002 Whirlpool purchased Amana, which manufactures ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers and air
conditioners. Amana had products with a mature growth cycle as did Whirlpool so this was a good
strategy to increase their product line and loyal customer base.
b. Horizontal related diversification is when a company adds products that are unrelated to its current
offerings. Whirlpool purchased Kitchen Aid in 1986, which manufactured stand mixers, among other
products. This was not something Whirlpool was familiar with but using the celebrity chef popularity
at the time, promoted Kitchen Aid heavily and markedly increased their customer base. (History
Heritage)
c. Conglomerate unrelated diversification is growth strategy that involves adding new products or
services that are significantly different from the organization s present products or services. This
happens when the company diversifies into an area that is completely dissimilar to the current line of
business. Whirlpool currently offers licensing upon approval to any products. Products they license
now include water softeners, water coolers, upright vacuums and outdoor grills. These products, when
sold with the Whirlpool name behind them, increases brand name awareness as well as loyal
customers. (Brand Licensing 2016)
d. Vertical integration is when a company performs more than one or two parts in their supply chain
within the same company. Whirlpool s

Greek Influence On Native American Culture
The Mississippian Culture civilization was quite unique, because the people of this culture built
mounds. These mounds served different purposes, some being used for burial chambers, and others
were built to resemble figures. In these societies, there were many mounds, not just a single one.
Furthermore, these cultures were also invested in trade endeavors, with the Hopewell even engaging
with the Caribbean in trade. Additionally, these societies were involved in fishing, hunting and
agriculture, especially maize agriculture. Also, these societies were skilled in workmanship, producing
artifacts. Some of the skilled workmanship that these groups did were pottery, stonework and copper
work. Also, in these societies, there were social structures, and some mounds were used in religious
activities, with some serving as the site for temples. Their religion was based upon things that were
seen, such as the sun and the eagle, like many other Native American societies. ... Show more content

Also, for the mounds in these cities, wood and dirt was used. Unfortunately, the wood from the
surrounding area was sometimes overused, which led to the eventual flooding of Cahokia. They built
the mounds for many different reasons, as they served many different purposes, from functioning as
burial grounds to the bases of temples and palaces. Other Native American cultures were not mound
builders, which is a very big difference. Also, the Cahokia people (as mentioned on the video) did not
live in tepees, as typically thought that Native Americans did. The people of Moundville lived in small
houses composed of pole and thatch (according to the Moundville

Stereotypes In The Movie Zootopia
Zootopia is an animated movie featuring a rabbit cop named Judy Hopps, the protagonist, and a
hustler fox called Nick Wilde, the deuteragonist. This animated film Zootopia displays how negative
themes can impact society, these themes are stereotypes, discrimination and prejudice.
Stereotypes is a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person
or thing. Stereotypes played a significant role in the important themes symbolised throughout the film
Zootopia. The movie provides much evidence of negative themes represented by stereotypes, for
example predators are exploited because they are considered as savages and have an instinct of
brutality and savagery or that bunnies are always looked down upon or misjudged because they are
small and vulnerable and are only capable of becoming carrot farmers etc. This is seen very frequently
in the movie, it is extremely repetitive; especially during a scene where Judy Hopps arrives at the
police station for her first day as a police officer. In this scene where she approaches Officer
Clawhauser a chunky, food loving cheetah Judy is faced with typical bunny stereotypes as Officer
Clawhauser quotes you are even cuter than I thought you d be which Judy then replies with a bunny
can call another bunny cute , but when other animals do it, it s a little... . This is Judy being assumed
stereotypically by Clawhauser because she is a bunny and as stated before bunnies are stereotypically
more charming, petite and defenceless. The symbolised stereotypes are just one factor of how
Zootopia explores a variety of important themes through displaying how negative themes can impact
society.
Discrimination is the unjust or prejudicial treatment of various categories of people, especially on the
grounds of race, age or sex. Discrimination is one of the key important themes in Zootopia, the movie
itself is embodied around the concept of discrimination as the main plot is about a villainous sheep
named Bellweather, who wants to rid all predators because she presumed that they would be a threat
to prey like her, but in this movie Zootopia is a place where everyone belongs so what Bellweather did
was simply just discrimination. The framed actions of

My Experience With The National Civil War And Medicine...
Volunteer work is essential for every individual s life and future careers, it produces a path to
connections in the work force, and promotes on the job learning. My practicum work pairing with the
National Civil War and Medicine Museums was an amazing, educational 20 hours. Even though I was
only there for 20 hours, it was a taste of what I will be tackling in my internship next semester there. I
volunteered for four days, and over those days I had a total of four projects. All of the project were
different, the first was looking up collection software and plugins, then I took inventory on a case,
then I recorded notes on a surgeon s diary, and finally I described each medicine in a pannier box. All
of the people I worked with were immensely friendly and insightful, whenever I had questions they
were content to help answer them. The overall experience was tremendously insightful, however, there
was a few bumps in the road here and there. This practicum was a great experience that makes me
eager for my internship in January. My first day at the National Civil War and Medicine museum was
October 14th, it was an awfully dull experience and not what I was expecting. I strolled in as soon the
museum opened, I was met by Joanna Jennings, she explained to me that more than half of the staff
came down with a bug because of a conference they held earlier in the week. Thus, Amelia, who was
originally supposed to be my mentor, was out sick. However, she did type up a detailed

Why College Education Is Important to Me
Why college education is important to me . By Janelle D. Crichlow EN110 Achieving Academic
Excellence Ashworth College A college degree is important for a variety of reasons for both the young
and the old, namely to develop or improve one s trade skills, to experience different cultures and to
increase one s educational background in order to attain a higher paying job. For me, a college degree
is important because it will help me to attain the educational background I need to make myself more
marketable in the ever changing workforce. It will also provide me with the confidence and skills
needed to apply for a better paying job or aid me in attaining the ever elusive promotion, if I so desire.
John G. Ramsay, a professor at the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For me personally, the college degree obtained will aid me in being able to better complete the tasks to
which I am assigned at work. It will also give my boss actual evidence that I have the necessary skills
needed to be promoted to a higher and better paying position. A college degree will give me the
knowledge base I need to compete in the workforce. College life makes it possible for students to
meet and be acquainted with people from all works of life and to possibly build work contacts with
these people later in life. It provides students with access to differing cultures, personalities and
attitudes and provides students with the playground to learn to handle them. Due to the fact that a
college student is exposed to varying subject matters, both in and out of his faculty, a student can
demonstrate to his employee that he is better equipped to handle learning new concepts since he is
more well rounded and knowledgeable in different areas, both in and out of his job scope. The
efficiency at making and completing short, medium and long term goals, displayed by the student,
allows the employer to ascertain how effective the employee will be at setting and achieving his goals
and how effective he will be with time management and multitasking. In conclusion, a college degree
will provide me with the hope and means of attaining the heights I intend to reach in my workplace. It
will provide me with the confidence and peace of mind that I can take

How Do Weapons Affect The World
There are various harmful and helpful discoveries all over the world. Though a number of these were
created to hurt instead of help, many people look to the invention before looking to the mind of a
human. For instance, drugs are used to cure people, while others treat them as an addiction. Similarly,
weapons are used either to kill or protect. Good people choose good, while evil people make poor
choices. Inventions overall improve our world; however, some people handle them as a detriment.
The most frequently used, harmful, and dangerous weapon across the world is the Automatic Rifle,
which was created in 1887 by General Manuel Mondragon. These powerful weapons were previously
used in the military after generals discovered the horrific demolition it could cause. Tracing all the
way back to its descendants, the AK 47, the M16A1, and the M 14, these rifles are self loading and
capable of delivering fully automatic, deadly weapon fire. Consequently, this weapon is ... Show more

Drugs are harmful, dangerous, and addictive, and there are many different kinds of them. Drugs are
not just common in America, but all around the world today. Being more popular than alcohol and
Vape, drugs affect the brain, causing its consumers to be unaware and completely unable to think or
process things normally. Drug abuse, not only affecting its consumers greatly, hurt their friends,
families, and children and cause millions of deaths every year. In America, drug abuse causes four
thousand seven hundred and ninety deaths per year, and eighty five thousand five hundred and eighty
four deaths are caused by drug abuse in the world alone. Unfortunately, the number of drug abusers
and consumers are increasing by the year, and the number of lives lost because of this invention is
immeasurable. Like all addictions, drug dealing is common, destructive, and leaves bitter

John Brown Hero
Is John Brown a hero or a murderer? While growing up in an ideal Christian family his parents, Owen
and Ruth Mills Brown, raised their children of eight to obey the teachings of the Bible. The Browns
would teach the importance of treating colored men with respect and to treat them just like regular
people. As John Brown father was a known abolitionist during his time, he would follow into his
father s footsteps and become the man that the world knows today. Many believe that John Brown
being how he was raised was brainwashed into becoming a strict believer of equality for all men or
that religion was a cover up for being a mass murderer. Historians like Robert E. McGlone would even
question was John Brown truly acting on his own will or was ... Show more content on

The government during this time did not consider John Brown a hero at all. He was a martyr, straight
cold blooded killer and murderer to the government at that time just because Brown fought for slaves.
Historians would characterize his actions as an act of terrorism. However slaves, former slaves and
abolitionist consider John Brown as a hero to them. John Brown should be considered a hero in all
history textbooks. Brown gave each and every ounce of his body to make sure slavery was abolished.
Even though John Brown did not achieve that goal, he was able to pave the way for the abolishment of
slavery and equality for all citizens living in the United States of America. Frances Ellen Watkins
Harper adored the actions of John Brown. She heavily believed in him and would support him in any
way. Harper would even send money to his family after we was captured and in jail for his actions.
Frances Ellen Watkins Harper praises John Brown for his bravery at Harper s Ferry and does not
believe that a martyr would do something so heroic.(footnote Harper) A transcendentalist, Henry
David Thoreau, was also a fan of John Brown. His piece of A Plea for Captain John Brown questions
why John Brown is committed of treason. John Brown worked for slaves so that they can have a free
life. However the only reason Thoreau can identify why the government would send John Brown to

The Consumer Decision Making Model By Howard And Sheth
Consumer decision making process generally involves five stages:

Susan then realized if she was to donate her kidney to a person in need, her son would go up on the waiting list. The deal went through and Susan was able to save two lives with her offer. Don t get me wrong there are many advantages of being a twin, but along with those advantages comes many disadvantages. Main point: First let me start by telling you what the really meaning of twin is. The term twins actually comes from the ancient German word twin or twine meaning two together. There are identical twins, and fraternal twins. Identical twins mean that they develop from one zygote that splits and forms two embryos, or dizygotic or also known as fraternal, meaning that they develop from two eggs. Did Mark Antony really possess all of these traits? Mark Antony was a much simpler man than his portrayal. Mark Antony embodied a stereotypical jock. Brutus stated Antony s propensity to sports, to wildness and much company (II.i.196). Mark Antony participated in the race of Lupercal, an equestrian race in which athletes participated during a Roman festival. Wildness could have alluded to Antony s gambling habits, and much company could reference Antony s inability to confine himself to one woman (II.i.196). In spite of Antony s faithlessness toward his wife, he held extreme loyalty to Caesar. Antony became very emotional about the death of Caesar. He strove to create the illusion of friendship with Caesar s murderers in order to make them feel comfortable; Antony wanted them to let their guard down so it would be easier to help Caesar s spirit, which was ranging for revenge (III.i.285). He spoke to them as if he sympathized with their cause and strived to make them feel comfortable. However, they fled the city while he conveyed his speech to the plebeians at Caesar s funeral. • 25. Greek Influence On Native American Culture The Mississippian Culture civilization was quite unique, because the people of this culture built mounds. These mounds served different purposes, some being used for burial chambers, and others were built to resemble figures. In these societies, there were many mounds, not just a single one. Furthermore, these cultures were also invested in trade endeavors, with the Hopewell even engaging with the Caribbean in trade. Additionally, these societies were involved in fishing, hunting and agriculture, especially maize agriculture. Also, these societies were skilled in workmanship, producing artifacts. Some of the skilled workmanship that these groups did were pottery, stonework and copper work. Also, in these societies, there were social structures, and some mounds were used in religious activities, with some serving as the site for temples. Their religion was based upon things that were seen, such as the sun and the eagle, like many other Native American societies. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They built the mounds for many different reasons, as they served many different purposes, from functioning as burial grounds to the bases of temples and palaces. Other Native American cultures were not mound builders, which is a very big difference. Also, the Cahokia people (as mentioned on the video) did not live in tepees, as typically thought that Native Americans did. • 26. Stereotypes In The Movie Zootopia Zootopia is an animated movie featuring a rabbit cop named Judy Hopps, the protagonist, and a hustler fox called Nick Wilde, the deuteragonist. This animated film Zootopia displays how negative themes can impact society, these themes are stereotypes, discrimination and prejudice. Stereotypes is a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. Stereotypes played a significant role in the important themes symbolised throughout the film Zootopia. The movie provides much evidence of negative themes represented by stereotypes, for example predators are exploited because they are considered as savages and have an instinct of brutality and savagery or that bunnies are always looked down upon or misjudged because they are small and vulnerable and are only capable of becoming carrot farmers etc. This is seen very frequently in the movie, it is extremely repetitive; especially during a scene where Judy Hopps arrives at the police station for her first day as a police officer. In this scene where she approaches Officer Clawhauser a chunky, food loving cheetah Judy is faced with typical bunny stereotypes as Officer Clawhauser quotes you are even cuter than I thought you d be which Judy then replies with a bunny can call another bunny cute , but when other animals do it, it s a little... . This is Judy being assumed stereotypically by Clawhauser because she is a bunny and as stated before bunnies are stereotypically more charming, petite and defenceless. The symbolised stereotypes are just one factor of how Zootopia explores a variety of important themes through displaying how negative themes can impact society. Discrimination is the unjust or prejudicial treatment of various categories of people, especially on the grounds of race, age or sex. Discrimination is one of the key important themes in Zootopia, the movie itself is embodied around the concept of discrimination as the main plot is about a villainous sheep named Bellweather, who wants to rid all predators because she presumed that they would be a threat to prey like her, but in this movie Zootopia is a place where everyone belongs so what Bellweather did was simply just discrimination. • 27. My Experience With The National Civil War And Medicine... Volunteer work is essential for every individual s life and future careers, it produces a path to connections in the work force, and promotes on the job learning. My practicum work pairing with the National Civil War and Medicine Museums was an amazing, educational 20 hours. Even though I was only there for 20 hours, it was a taste of what I will be tackling in my internship next semester there. I volunteered for four days, and over those days I had a total of four projects. All of the project were different, the first was looking up collection software and plugins, then I took inventory on a case, then I recorded notes on a surgeon s diary, and finally I described each medicine in a pannier box. All of the people I worked with were immensely friendly and insightful, whenever I had questions they were content to help answer them. The overall experience was tremendously insightful, however, there was a few bumps in the road here and there. This practicum was a great experience that makes me eager for my internship in January. My first day at the National Civil War and Medicine museum was October 14th, it was an awfully dull experience and not what I was expecting. I strolled in as soon the museum opened, I was met by Joanna Jennings, she explained to me that more than half of the staff came down with a bug because of a conference they held earlier in the week. Thus, Amelia, who was originally supposed to be my mentor, was out sick. However, she did type up a detailed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 29. How Do Weapons Affect The World There are various harmful and helpful discoveries all over the world. Though a number of these were created to hurt instead of help, many people look to the invention before looking to the mind of a human. For instance, drugs are used to cure people, while others treat them as an addiction. Similarly, weapons are used either to kill or protect. Good people choose good, while evil people make poor choices. Inventions overall improve our world; however, some people handle them as a detriment. The most frequently used, harmful, and dangerous weapon across the world is the Automatic Rifle, which was created in 1887 by General Manuel Mondragon. These powerful weapons were previously used in the military after generals discovered the horrific demolition it could cause. • 31. John Brown Hero Is John Brown a hero or a murderer? While growing up in an ideal Christian family his parents, Owen and Ruth Mills Brown, raised their children of eight to obey the teachings of the Bible. The Browns would teach the importance of treating colored men with respect and to treat them just like regular people. As John Brown father was a known abolitionist during his time, he would follow into his father s footsteps and become the man that the world knows today. Many believe that John Brown being how he was raised was brainwashed into becoming a strict believer of equality for all men or that religion was a cover up for being a mass murderer.
