2. Serial Killer Psychology
The mind of a serial killer has been researched for years and years. Since the earliest serial killers to
the most recent, everyone wants to know what goes on in a serial killers mind. Do they just kill
because they want to see people suffer or deep down is there something wrong with them? It could be
that they are working for the devil as some people may say. It may just be that these people are
downright crazy and killing is what they want to do. A lot of things in the mind can force a serial killer
to kill, whether it is the mental disorder they are suffering from, the feelings they have (lust, glory,
rage, et cetera), or it is the history of mental, physical, and sexual abuse they have gone through.

Whether it is something that happened or something imagined. Rage serial killers are probably the
most dangerous because you can never predict when they are going to kill. Anger is built up over time
until someone decides they are going to grab a gun and kill. You can never predict that even if you
tried. People that kill for lust, glory, and rage are probably the most dangerous because most of them
are family men who do not have a history of mental

3. Aristotle s Contributions Of Aristotle
Biography of Aristotle
Aristotle Headshot
Aristotle was born in 384 BC, in Stagira, near Macedonia at the northern end of the Aegean Sea. His
father, Nicomachus, was the family physician of King Amyntas of Macedonia. It is believed that
Aristotle s ancestors had been the physicians of the Macedonian royal family for several generations.
Having come from a long line of physicians, Aristotle received training and education that inclined his
mind toward the study of natural phenomena. This education had long lasting influences, and was
probably the root cause of his less idealistic stand on philosophy as opposed to Plato. Aristotle s father
died when he was a boy, and Aristotle was left under the care of his guardian Proxenus.

While the extent to which Aristotle s tutoring influenced Alexander s successes in conquering an
empire is disputable, Alexander did try to organize much of his empire along the model of the Greek
city state.
In 335 BC Aristotle went back to Athens, where he found the Academy flourishing under Xenocrates.
Aristotle founded his own school, the Lyceum, and ran it for twelve years. The school is often called
the Peripatetic School, because Aristotle used to like walking around and discusses his ideas with his
colleagues. Peripatetics are people who walk around. Aristotle would have detailed discussions with a
small group of advanced students in the mornings, and larger lectures in the evenings. During his time
at the Lyceum, Aristotle wrote extensively on a wide range of subjects: politics, metaphysics, ethics,
logic and science.
Aristotle agreed with Plato that the cosmos is rationally designed and that philosophy can come to
know absolute truths by studying universal forms. Their ideas diverged, however, in that Aristotle
thought that the one finds the universal in particular things, while Plato believed the universal exists
apart from particular things, and that material things are only a shadow of true reality, which exists in
the realm of ideas and forms. The fundamental difference between the two philosophers is that Plato
thought only pure mathematical reasoning was necessary, and therefore focused on

4. America s Obsession With Weight Loss and Body Image
America s Obsession with Weight Loss and Body Image
Introduction
Concern with weight and body image is a widespread preoccupation for many Americans. In a study
of college students 74.4 percent of normal weight woman and 46 percent of normal weight men said
they thought about their weight or appearance all the time or frequently ( Body Image, 2012). Focus
on appearance is at an all time high in American culture increasing the potential for negative body
image. Poor body image increases the risk for extreme weight/body control behaviors. Researchers
have found that increased preoccupation with appearance and body dissatisfaction put people at
greater risk for engaging in dangerous practices to control weight and size. Extreme dieting, exercise
compulsion, laxative abuse, vomiting, smoking and use of anabolic steroids have all been associated
with negative body image. ( Body Image, 2012).
Body Image
Body image encompasses how we perceive our bodies, how we feel about our physical experience as
well as how we think and talk about our bodies, our sense of how other people view our bodies, our
sense of our bodies in physical space, and our level of connectedness to our bodies. Over the past
three decades, while America has gotten heavier, the ideal woman presented in the media has become
thinner. Teenagers are the heaviest users of mass media, and American women are taught at a young
age to take desperate measures in the form of extreme dieting to control their

6. How Did The Opium Wars Affect China
The Opium wars affected China in many positive and negative ways which ultimately led to further
violent uprising and rebellions such as the Boxer Rebellion and the Xinhai Revolution. The 1st Opium
war was fought between China and Britain and the second between China and Britain allied with
France (Robert, 2003). The wars were fought because of China s refusal to enter the family of nations
on a basis of equal trade and equality in diplomatic relations which meant that Britain decided to use
force instead. This war (which was won by the British) lead to the treaty of Nanjing which
conclusively led to the loss of the Chinese emperor s dignity and respect (Fairbank, 1987). The Opium
wars negatively and positively impacted China s political, cultural and economic aspects of life on the

7. The Poem ‘Mother To Son’ By Langston Hughes First Published
The poem Mother to Son by Langston Hughes first published in 1922 and The Road not Taken by
Robert Frost have a number of similarities. These poems are parables in which experienced people
give advice about life choices. In both poems, the personas were initially in some trouble in life but
they currently have no remorse for the way they made choices and lived. Also, both poems have a
moral lesson that life may not always be easy but at the end, the choices that people make will
determine their destiny. However, the poems are considerably different in their writing style, diction,
the point of view, tone and imagery. This essay aims to compare and contrast the two poems. Though

He, however, chose the road that was less favorable to people. This road represents a road of hard
work or integrity since majority of people love short cuts to life. In the end, the speaker is not only
relieved but also proud that he took that road. He says I shall be telling this with a sigh (Frost 16). The
reason for him telling the story is to give advice because he is proud of the decision that he made.
Also, Hughes and Frost both use symbolism and imagery to bring out the picture about life. For
Hughes, the stairs symbolize the life life that has been lived through pressing on because of the
difficulties and uncertainties involved. The mother symbolizes the old generation of people who are
experienced and their role in giving advice. The old generation is familiar with life challenges that the
younger generation, symbolized by the son, are undergoing. They provide hope for the young
generation. The dark corners without light symbolize times of uncertainties, the corner symbolizes
changes experienced in life, and the climbing symbolizes difficult situations requiring extra effort and
so on. Reading through the poem a person can easily picture the life that the speaker lived.
Conversely, Frost also uses symbolism in his poem. The divergent roads that emerge as the persona is
traveling symbolize a dilemma in life. The persona needed to make a tough choice in life for it was
impossible to live a double life.

8. Thin-Layer Chromatography Lab
Introduction Thin layer chromatography, also known as TLC, is a principle that describes how various
compounds travel multiple distances when placed as a thin layer on a plate. TLC is a technique that
can be used to determine how many components are in a mixture. TLC can also be used to determine a
specific compound in a mixture. After performing TLC, the retention factor (Rf) can be used to
determine a specific compound in a mixture. The retention factor (Rf) is During TLC, there is a step
called elution. In elution the components on the TLC plate will have different solubilities and different
adsorption strengths. The liquid at the bottom of the TLC chamber is called eluent. The purpose of this
experiment was to use TLC to separate and identify ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If the solutions are placed to close together on the TLC plates, then is possible that after being place in

bottom of the TLC plate is parallel to the bottom of the jar in the TLC chamber. If it is not parallel,
then the solvent front will not develop properly and it will make determining the spots or comparing
the spots more difficult. The last way to improve this experiment would be to make sure that the .5%

9. Intricacies Of Precognition
Intricacies of Precognition Divine precognition is a phase of clairvoyance that brings knowledge of
future events without relying on any physical senses. While clairvoyance is an awareness of past or
future events that happen at a distance, precognition is knowing about events that will take place soon.
For instance, you may be shown forthcoming events while you are in a dreaming state, during
meditation or via flashes of clarity. The Bible is rich with examples of precognition. For example, the
Wise Men were forewarned in a (precognitive) dream, not to return to Herod, but to take a different
route home after finding the Christ child. History is rife with astounding examples of precognition:
reportedly some surviving passengers, who were aboard the Titanic, experienced unusual dreams of
impending disaster, which included many deaths by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Frequently, the dream includes clear visions of the near future event, such as Lincoln seeing his own
corpse. Premonition is similar to precognition, except premonition is a feeling that something dreadful
might occur at some unknown time in the future. Precognition is a knowing that something will
happen. Also, precognition usually comes when we are in the dream state and premonitions can take
place anytime, day or night. Both involve heightened emotions and/or feelings, such as anxiety, fear or
as feelings of doom and gloom that keep nagging at your consciousness. Let s explore precognitive
dreams. Of course, not all dreams are precognitive, but if you should have one, it will deliver a
warning. There is a slim chance to change the outcome. Precognitive dreams are often symbolic and
may not be understood until the event happens. But, there are literal precognitive dreams where the
dreamer can see what is about to happen in vivid detail as if they were participating in the

10. Swing Dance In The 1930 s
There are so many styles of dance that came together to eventually evolve into what swing dance is
today. In the early 20 s and 30 s there was the Lindy Hop, Balboa, Shag and the Charleston. Some of
these dance forms such as the Lindy Hop and the Charleston started as an eight count done in four
steps then it evolved in the 1930 s to an eight count with 10 steps. During this time swing dance had
some substantial changes due to music and regional influences.
At the start of the 40 s the era of Big Bands became very popular and swing dance was easily adapted
to this style of music giving that fast percussion beats in this genre. It brought about new styles such
as the St.Louis shag and the Carolina shag and even stayed very popular till the end of the 1940 s.
In the 1950 s after WWII brought about the rebellious generation that sparked the creation of Rock

11. Summary OfThe Haunted Palace By Edgar Allan Poe
Dear Edgar Allan Poe, I feel your poem The Haunted Palace is a very strongly written poem with an
extremely dark twist. Your use of metaphors, symbolism, alliteration, stanzas and rhyme scheme
makes this poem an interesting read. With some language you use, it makes it somewhat hard to read
in some areas but the rhyming helps to understand those words. Throughout most of the poem you use
an ABAB rhyme scheme, along with the use of a slant rhyme. The way you are able spin words makes
a very fun read. The title of this particular poem is a foreshadow of the sinister twist that you are well
known for. In the first few lines, the poem seems to speak about a beautiful palace, which is
uncommon in your works. Such as line three once a fair and stately place . Using words like fair and
stately gives the reader a sense of peace and being at ease. Also with lines nine and ten banners
yellow, glorious, golden, on its roof did float and flow supplies an image of a beautiful palace in the
greenest of valleys (line 1). This puts an image in my mind of a fairy tale esque land. The King or
monarch is introduced in line five, as to which the voice of the person telling the story gives the name
Thought . So now we have the idea of this king and a beautiful palace placed into our minds. To me it
feels even more so as a fairy tale having a powerful King and his beautiful palace. The voice of the
poem gives me a feeling that the King is loved by his people. As with the name

Describe the marketing objectives you sought to achieve, using marketing terms and concepts.
The Valley Animal Center organizes an event each year to help raise funds for the shelter. The event
we participated in is called Wiggle Waggle Walk. As group, we had the task to market the event and
come up with a fun interacting activity for the occasion. We had three main objectives that helped us
to better organize and focus our ideas. The first objective was to generate a creative and interactive
activity for the participants of the Wiggle Waggle Walk to go through. The second objective was to
sign up at least five individuals as a result from marketing the event. The last objective was to create
promotional flyers to increase awareness and attendance for the walk. To complete the marketing
project, we went through a process.
Throughout the process, we met with Jackie, our supervisor, at least once a week to keep her updated
with our progress. The first time we met with Jackie, she gave us the theme for the event, which was
Movie Mania. As a group, we decided to create a Minion Photo Booth for the Wiggle Waggle Walk
that took place at the Woodward Park on October 11. Jackie s supervisor liked our idea and gave us
the approval to continue with our plan. The next objective was one of the biggest ones, which
consisted of signing up at least five individuals for the event. To encourage people to sign up for the

VENTRICULAR SEPTAL DEFECT
Overview
A ventricular septal defect (VSD) is a heart defect present at birth in which the heart has a hole in the
wall (septum) between the two lower chambers (the ventricles). The septum develops parts of muscles
and other parts of the membrane. If the septal wall did not develop properly, the child may be born
with an atrial defect or ventricular septal defect. This means that there is a gap in the septum. This is
sometimes called a hole in the heart. . There may be one or more hole. The size and location of the
hole can also vary.
Causes
The causes of ventricular septal defect, similar to other congenital heart diseases are multifactorial in

If it does not and the child reaches two years of age, it will be very unlikely that the holes in the heart
closing off alone. Most of the small holes do not require any treatment. Drugs can be used to help with
the symptoms that can occur if the hole is bigger. These may include medication to relieve pressure on
the heart and lungs and also to help the heart pump blood properly. The surgery can be used to close
the hole. There are two types of surgery available: Technical Intra cardiac and trans catheter technique.
The surgical technique that is chosen is dictated by the nature of the side effects associated with the
patient s heart and lungs.
The intra cardiac technique is the most common and is carried out while the patient is under
cardiopulmonary bypass and is an open heart surgery. This is the procedure of choice for the majority
of children and performed by most pediatric surgery centers. The trans catheter approach is normally
more complex and should only be considered in selected patients at pediatric centers that have
expertise in this procedure.

14. Virtualization Is An Important Component
Virtualization is an important component when it comes to server. It s helpful when using one instance
of a server and spread it on multiple devices. Virtualization is a use of software to allow a piece of
hardware to run multiple operating system images at the same time (Rouse, web) They all act as a
different machine allowing the user ability to reset and start all over again at any given time.
Operating system virtualization has many important features and they all help reduce cost and energy
in long term. One of the most important feature of virtualization is the ability to run multiple operating
system just from one hardware. Different virtual machines can run different operating systems and
multiple applications while sharing the resources of a single physical computer. (What is
Virtualization, web). This is especially useful because it lets anyone run multiple operating systems
from just one hardware. It allows the user to run their system to the max for a testing purpose. Just in
case if their system were to crash, then all they would have to do is just boot that particular system off
of a state that they would have saved periodically. Another reason why virtualization is such a great
way is because of cost. The cost to buy multiple licensing free would run the company in tens of
thousands dollar. But with virtualization all the company need to do is buy on license and then the
company can run as many licenses as the company want with that one. The

However, they should not be chastised for their decision.
Throughout history, there have been many experiments and works of literature showcasing the effect
and various perspectives of being marginalized in society. For example, the prose essay written by
Fang Gao titled, What it means to be a model minority : voices of ethnic Koreans in Northeast China.
In this article, he explains the different opinions and struggles that Koreans have, living in China. Gao
suggests that Koreans and Asians share the same racials label: portrayed as a model minority that is
primed for socioeconomic advancement and academic success (qtd. in Gao 55). This stereotype has a
negative effect on both the Chinese and Korean population. The stereotype of a model minority is
making it challenging for Koreans to become their own individual ethnic group in China. Thus,
making them feel unrecognized and marginalized into the chinese population. For instance, some
people are proud to be a Korean in China because it often implies the struggle they went through, in
able to cross the border of communist North Korea and making it into China.

I m craving for French food. Want to go get some?
That s one phrase I ve never had to answer simply because no one brings that up. We don t go to

a tad bit overpriced. When I think of enjoying French food, I think of men having to wear pressed

noses and carefully coiffed hair before being served food in very large plates but with tiny portions. It
s a cuisine of the elite but for something so highly regarded it s ironic that French food isn t too much

19. The American Of American National History Essay
Introduction.
George Washington stands at the origins of American national history. Many Americans call him the
father of our country . Washington commanded the Continental Army in the Revolutionary War. He
led the American colonists to freedom from British rule. He headed the convention that created the
U.S. Constitution, as president of the republic Washington has created a basis for a federal government
in which the Americans were able to find their national agreement. Despite his accomplishments as a
general, political leader, businessman, and emancipator, Washington can also be defined as a family
man. After marriage with Martha Dandridge Custis, he raised her two children as his very own.
George Washington loved the country and its people. The country, also, loved him and respected.
James Russell Lowell, an American romantic poet, wrote about Washington next:
Soldier and statesman, rarest unison;
High poised example of great duties done
Simply as breathing, a world s honors worn
As life s indifferent gifts to all men born (Harrington 49).
George Washington was a man of an extraordinary abilities and visionary leader, he left the trace in
the history of the USA as a great man, as genius leader of army and as the first president.

friendships to bloom. In college it is a rarity to see the same person in more than one of my classes. If
I want to be friends with someone I really have to go out of my way to talk to them and keep in close

In the proposed model, line managers would be responsible for generating and owning new IT
projects and products. They would manage project implementation with the help of the IT department.
When complete, all the departments would have total ownership.
2. Change in the Role played by the IT department and other departments
The IT department had been used to take the lead
In the new model, IT staff had to learn to play new roles and required new skills. The first was that
they would continue to give development support to line functions but they now had to give business
support in project management for each line function. Secondly, they had to work with managers to
set priorities in their functional area systems planning. Thirdly, they would be required to give
technical services and the employees would have to have up to date technical knowledge.
3. Managing risks
Risks were increasing due to project complexity and span of operations that had become more
expensive. The IT staff would be deployed to a smaller central systems department and to functional
areas like foreign exchange, treasury, and customer accounts. In this scenario, a single person would
not monitor and manage overall risks. Ordinarily, Mr. Abwoga, the IT Manger oversaw all IT projects.
The IT personnel therefore could not have one unit of command, and whereas they were to report to

23. Alan Paton Literary Devices
In this fictional novel, written by Alan Paton, the author gives light to many different social issues
including apartheid, prostitution, alcoholism, and many more. Through these social issues, Paton
idolizes many characters throughout this narrative due to their behavior and actions taken during these
matters. Beyond conventional issues, this book poses its own issues, some in accordance with the
national issues, and some not. Through Paton s use of expressive diction, graphic imagery, and
examples of Arthur s writings, he constructs a shared attribute of persistent ambition among the Jarvis
men, Stephen Kumalo, and Msimangu.
One stylistic device Paton employs in his novel is graphic imagery; this device is one of great effect.
Through the use of this device, it is evident that many characters are dedicated and relentless in what

Through these letters and statements, it is easy to see what each character and wants, as well as
(generally) what each race wants and stands for. It is clear that Arthur supports the side of the natives,
which is extremely rare in Johannesburg. This is what makes his murder so ironic killed by those who
he stood for (the natives). Despite his death, it symbolizes his determination through all the adversity
he may have faced. In chapter twelve, Paton gives short statements from Europeans discussing ways
to cut back on native crime. This also highlights Arthur Jarvis perseverance. Many Europeans feel that
increased schooling facilities would cause a decrease in juvenile delinquency amongst native children
(Paton 107). Others believe that they should enforce the pass laws (Paton 108). But, the one European
individual that supported the beliefs and actions of the natives the most, is the one that suffered.
Arthur knew the risks of advocating for the natives and that is what made him such a decent

of her coworkers in order to survive for at least a year until she finds a journalist position of her liking.
The perception of people who involve themselves in this line of career, according to Benedictus
(2009) are those that have a love for fashion, that s why they re doing it. It s almost like a little bit of a
social atmosphere when you come in every day. Like when girls go out at night and they see what
each other is wearing. It s nice. But in Andy s case, she felt that it was just a job and the fashion was
not her purpose for accepting the job at Runway. She initially did not buy into the culture of fashion

25. How Did Southern Ocean Density Change
The study includes the first detailed reconstruction of the Southern Ocean density of the period and
identified how it changed as the Earth warmed. It suggests a massive reorganisation of ocean
temperature and salinity, but finds that this was not the driver of increased concentration of carbon
dioxide in the atmosphere. The study, led by researchers from the University of
Cambridge, is published in the journal
Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences
. The ocean is made up of different layers of varying densities and chemical compositions. During the
last ice age, it was thought that the deepest part of the ocean was made up of very salty, dense water,
which was capable of trapping a lot of CO2. Scientists believed that a decrease in the

We set out to test the idea that a decrease in ocean density resulted in a rise in CO2 by reconstructing
how it changed across time periods when the Earth was warming, said the paper s lead author Jenny
Roberts, a PhD student in Cambridge s Department of Earth Sciences who is also a member of the
British Antarctic Survey. However what we found was not what we were expecting to see.
In order to determine how the oceans have changed over time and to identify what might have caused
the massive release of CO2, the researchers studied the chemical composition of microscopic shelled
animals that have been buried deep in ocean sediment since the end of the ice age. Like layers of
snow, the shells of these tiny animals, known as foraminifera, contain clues about what the ocean was
like while they were alive, allowing the researchers to reconstruct how the ocean changed as the ice
age was ending. They found that during the cold glacial periods, the deepest water was significantly
denser than it is today. However, what

26. Economic Inequality In South Africa
On Sept 1, 1939, the German Army invaded Poland plunging the world into a devastating and costly
war, the effects of which were felt globally for decades after the fighting ended. South Africa was a
huge benefactor for the Allied forces during the war providing troops, funds, and resources, in spite of
the country itself being in a state of social disrepair. While there were multiple contributing factors in
Apartheid, World War II resulted in some of the main causes, leading to economic inequality,
nonviolent resistance and political split. World War II was an economic boon for South Africa, but the
profits failed to reach the oppressed lower class. Workers were drawn to the mines as the demand for
gold and silver production increased exponentially during the war. In fact, according to South African
History Online, during the war the number of people employed in the manufacturing industry,
especially Black men and White women increased by 60%, and by the end of the war more blacks
than whites lived in mining towns. Even though many black men also raced to the city in search of
work, conditions and pay were poor and further increased the gap between whites and blacks. African
agriculture was modified as well, says author Ali A. Mazrui, in order to produce needed supplies and
food for Europe during the war. Afrikaners, descendants of the original Dutch inhabitants, were the
ones who tended the crops, so again the black population was left behind and floundered. A 1946

kind of circuit/alarm you don t need to waste energy because you don t need to turn on the lights.

you are sleeping in the same room as your husband/wife, turning on the lights might wake them up,
and that would seem like a rude thing to do/unethical. With my circuit, you don t need to turn on the
lights and potentially wake up your wife/husband, and the light is not so bright that it would wake up

30. Disadvantages And Disadvantages Of Lightships
Lightships are manned seamarks anchored at a specific point of a river, generally a shallow one. Fixed
into place by a mushroom shaped anchor, these small ships (rarely above 50 tons) would initially use
large lanterns affixed atop the main mast. Their main advantage is that they could be placed in areas
where it was impossible for lighthouses to act as efficient seamarks. Their main disadvantage,
especially the early ones, is that turbulent waters could slightly shift the anchor and thus the ship s
positioning (Talbot 1913, pp. 241 42). In the worst case scenario, the chains could snap, leaving the
ship in a dire position. However, introduced in the early 19th century were numerous lighting
inventions (Clarke 2016, pp. 14, 42) as well as mooring technologies using iron, which could anchor a
vessel 12 to 14 times the tonnage of the largest lightship (Clarke 2016, pp. 50 56), made them
increasingly reliable over time. Ubiquitous to seafarers, their offshore position meant that lightships
were out of eyesight of the majority of the population, which explains why they went largely
unnoticed, even by most economists and historians including Coase, who studied lighting services.
Yet, lightships featured prominently in the frequently cited 1834 Report from the Select Committee on
Lighthouses. In fact, of the 55 lights in England, 13 were provided by floating lights (House of
Commons 1834, p. VI). As such, lightships were an important contributor to lighting services. What

should be established and then advanced from its rudimentary elements of construction. He said that
architecture wasn t a subject that could be understood in a brief manner, it was meant to be studied in
detail with a firm and complete knowledge about its function, mass, plane, time, space, light, color

This was my first semester attending college, which made me feel worse. Since the first day I came

specific assignment that I consider to be helpful in my writing skills was the thesis tweeter assignment

how to use APA style using different kind of sources such as books, newspapers and videos. The
yellow sheet he gave us in his presentation was allot of help throughout the semester because I would
always use it when It was time to do writing assignments. Learning how to properly use Apa style was
very helpful for me because now I apply those skills on my assignments and I do a better job than
before. Now I feel way more comfortable and confident while writing. Before learning the proper way
of using APA style I was always unsure If I was giving credit to the sources I was using. I m planning
on applying this writing skill in and out of class to have a clear and smooth writing when It gets to

36. Postmodernism In Post Modernism
Post Modernism is a revolutionary era that follows Modernism and developed in mid to late twentieth
century. It takes a changed and developed approach across philosophy, art, criticism, and architecture
and makes a departure from Modernism. The term Postmodernism is applied to an era that both
follows modernity, and also acts as a host of movements that emerged during the era especially in art,
music, and literature, marked by the tendencies against modernism. It is more like the rejection of
conventional social norms , followed by the Counter culture movement. Counter culture movement
spreads massively in Europe and North America during mid 20th century, which is a subculture whose
norms of behavior and values substantially differ from those of dominant mainstream society and
culture. Its 1960 s to 1970 s development generated a unique brand of its own in the field of notable

the various scholarships that I applied to. For Howard University, I might take around $97,040 for a
four year loan and pay back $180,344 over 30 years. For Hawaii Pacific University, I could take about
$107,028 for a six year loan and pay back $198,906 over 30 years. For Humboldt State, I might take
$110,892 for a six year loan and pay $206,087 over 30 years (Student). Howard University is still the
best option for loans. These costs will likely go down when I receive scholarships. My goal is receive
scholarships to pay for most or all of college.
Monthly Payment: Taking interest into consideration for a loan repayment of 30 years, my monthly
repayments for Howard University, Hawaii Pacific, and Humboldt State would be between $500 and
$600 a month. Howard s monthly repayment would be $500.96, Hawaii s monthly repayment would
be $552.52, and Humboldt s monthly repayment would be $572.46. Obviously, these amounts are
completely ridiculous. Howard s estimated monthly repayment is the cheapest at $500.92, but that is
still way too expensive to be paying every month for 30 years. ... Show more content on

After calculating my monthly budget for when I start my career, I can see that life will be hard and I
will be poor. If I cut down my spending for housing, food, auto, insurance, entertainment/recreation,
savings, medical/dental expenses, investments and miscellaneous stuff by about 2 3% each, I can still
have some money to spare. I can bring down my monthly expense from $2,479.17 to $2,335.54. That
means that I will have an extra $143.63 to save for emergencies. Even so, I will still have be very
frugal with my spending and use my resources wisely. I will have to buy everything cheap in order to

In to build a fire, the man does not have that much creativity. The problem with him is that he was
without imagination (1). This quote shows that he does not have an imagination and you cannot be
creative without an imagination. If he was creative he might of been able to survive. Creativity is key
because it allows you to make resources that you would not have. In Cast Away, chuck is filled with
creativity because he creates an axe out of skates which helps him make a boat that gets him found.
He creates a sail out a porta potty that is a key component to the boat. And lastly he makes a friend out
of a ball and some blood. If he was not creative he would never have been able to make a boat which
got him home. He would have died much sooner as well not being able to make an axe which got him
easy access food. Creativity helped chuck survive, the lack of creativity led The man from To build a

41. Essay On High Stakes Testing
The Talk About The Bitter Test Standardized high stakes testing is necessary in today s school systems
and policies within education. The fate of annual standardized testing is being considered as Congress
debates the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), also known as
the No Child Left Behind Act (Evans, 2015). Testing in its current form may seem detrimental to
student learning, but the only thing worse than standardized testing is not having testing at all (Evans,
2015). Standardized High stakes Testing is necessary because it serves as a platform for guiding
students and teachers, it s a great measurement tool on an individual s performance, it helps prepare
administration and it also provides a level playing field.
First, standardized high stakes testing serves as a platform for guiding students and teachers. Students
and teachers needs high stakes testing because the test allows them to know what material is important
to teach and learn. High Stakes testing helps inform decisions about the curriculum and instruction

Standardized high stakes testing could be dangerous due to multiple corruptions within the education
administrations in the school systems (Nichols and Berliner, 2007, pg.6). First, standardized high
stakes testing shows a correlation between increased drop out rates (Amrein and Berliner, 2002, pg.2).
Another warning about the dangerous side effects of standardized high stakes testing surfaced when a
plan a pay teachers on the basis of their students scores was offered, making student test scores very
high stakes testing. (Roderick and Bryk, 2007, pg.11). Lastly, standardized high stakes testing
encourages teachers to watch the examiners foibles and to note his idiosyncrasies to prepare for
questions that were more likely to appear on the testing which can lead to failure within the classroom

42. The Sun Also Rises Modernism Analysis
During the early twentieth century, the philosophical and artistic movement of Modernism permeated
the world of literature. Thusly, Modernism, as a philosophy, is defined through the loss of traditional
values and meaning in life; men, women and all people are isolated and alone, unable to fully
communicate through language. Modernist writers portray the world as a harsh and unjust place in
which their characters struggle alone with unrealistic and futile dreams. With this in mind, The Sun
Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway is a novel that details the story of Jacob Barnes and his circle of
friends. Most of the friends, including Jake, are World War I veterans who have been harshly afflicted
by their experiences in the war and heavily indulge ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jake tries to be a good Catholic; he goes to the Cathedral and he prays in a very scattered way, first for
his friends, then bullfighters, then money, and then his mind wanders onto other subjects. Jake tries to
be a good Catholic by praying and attempting to be spiritual, but much like his own spirituality, his
prayer is choppy. He does not usually go to church nor does he usually pray. Jake does not feel
religious, and this is what he deduces makes him such a rotten Catholic. He regrets this notion and this
is a symptom of a much larger problem for Jake: he craves authenticity and spirituality and innocence,
but he has been corrupted by the great war. It took not only his fertility but also his spiritual potency.
Further proof of his desire for spiritual authenticity and purity is when he sees Pedro Romero, the
young, talented, and captivating young Spanish bullfighter, in a bullfight. Jake
