reflect how actual people relate to their world. In the novel The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende,
there exist many societal norms and standards that influence the characters and their actions in
different ways. This essay focuses on these standards and how they relate to the character of Férula
Trueba, and her position in the society she lives in. Allende s novel The House of the Spirits takes
place in the religious and patriarchal society of 20th Century Chile, where the character Férula
embraces religious austerity and internalizes her role as caretaker, resulting in embitterment and
repression of her feelings.

We used the convenience sampling method to carry out the present study. The sample size consists of
100 respondents.
A well designed questionnaire was prepared for obtaining the information. The respondents were
asked to mark on the five point Likert scale. The scale was administered on the users of various small

used to analyze the data.

The total sample surveyed which consisted of 100 respondents were the car owners. Table 1 clearly
indicates that Maruti is still the market leader in small car segment. 61% of the customers were found
as brand possessors of Maruti cars (28%, 23% and 10% for Maruti
800, Alto and Zen respectively). Equal number of respondents owned Santro and Tata Indica
i.e. 15% of the respondents having each.

Once the processes are categorized, then they can be prioritized. This is where the whole leadership
team gets involved, to include the stakeholders. Then these prioritized categories can be made into a
hierarchical structure with substance and value. This Pareto analysis chart is rather easy to produce in
Microsoft Excel, which is a good thing because I am fairly competent with the process using MS
Excel. We simply put in a table the consumption values during the determined period of study and
then turn it into a chart and you have a visual of the consumption periods. We can then find the highest
consumption periods and compare them to any changes or patterns differences from the lower periods.
Then these values can be re charted in another analysis chart to visually compare the major causes of
energy consumption. In conclusion, the Pareto analysis will allow us to identify the major energy
consumption issues or the major energy conservation savings factors and allow us to prioritize them in
a hierarchical manner. Then the decision making process can begin to work to reduce the overall costs
and save energy at the same time.

The stop, question, and frisk policy qualifies as a criminal justice issue that has captured the attention
of public nationwide. Empirical research has presented evidence that the stop and frisk police is
disproportionately used against minorities, which indicates the prevalence of racial profiling. Firstly,
statistical databases have shown that the New York Police Departments have stopped and frisked
approximately 685,000 persons since 2011, with 85 percent of those individuals representing African
Americans and Latino Americans (Zamani, 2012). Many of the individuals are male. The statistical
representation, unaccompanied, speaks volumes that the racial profiling is prevalent in the practice.
The racial profiling of minorities violates the constitutional rights of the individuals that are stop and
frisked based on their skin color.
Secondly, research shown that approximately 6% percent of the stops and frisk have caused
individuals being arrested and 2% in the recovery of illegal weapons ( Report of The NYPD S , 2013).
This statistical data demonstrates how the stop and frisk policy is ineffective at achieving the objective
of removing illegal weapons off of the streets, however, it is effective at removing illegal substances
off of the streets. In many of the cases, the police officer instructs the individual to remove illegal
substances from their pockets and then arrested and convicted of a misdemeanor for having marijuana

over the years. There are many people that love the stories because of how witty Junie B. is. It is also
true that a large number of children can connect with her since Barbra Park created the series with
Junie B. speaking in first person as the narrator. However, there are a lot of concerns with the amount
of disrespect seen by Junie. Additionally, there could be an educational confusion for children who are
trying to learn to read and pronounce words correctly. The Junie B. Jones series basically glorifies
being bad, not listening to adults and using language that a five or six year old should not be using.
The ruthless actions and improper usage of communication by Junie B. in the Junie B. Jones series can
be very confusing and misleading for the young children that are expected to read these books.
Character Choices The different types of characters in Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business
play important roles in the story. The diverse age groups help to show how Junie B. is disrespectful to
all of those that surround her. The main characters are Junie B. Jones, Mother, Daddy, Grampa Miller,
Grandma Miller, Lucille, that Grace, Mrs., that mean Jim, Ollie and the principle. These characters are
very effective because they add to the story in their own individual ways. They were made to help
keep the audience laughing, but in reality they just help by adding more people that Junie B. is
disrespectful to in the story.
Ruthless Actions
Junie B. is characterized as an ungrateful and spoiled child. With that being said, many people believe
that the actions of Junie B. Jones are minor and can be seen as fun and playful since her age. However,
these are not the average actions of the well mannered six and seven year olds that may be reading the
books. The way that the story is written makes children think that it is okay to have unacceptable
behavior at a very young age. Junie B. continuously acts out and is regularly disobedient. The series
more or less makes light of bad behavior. It is supposed to be funny when Junie B. does not respond to
her parents when they are trying to speak to her, or when she
