The Value of a Life Countries less privileged than America face the reoccurring issue of being taken
advantage of. This occurs because these countries have high unemployment rates and are in poverty so
they are given jobs through American factories. This process, though, is not always a fair one. Haiti
and China are both countries with bad labor regulations, usually by American influence, and this hurts
the welfare of these countries as a whole, the individuals in these countries, and the morality of
America. Dupuy (2014) writes that Haiti s people, trapped working in factories for cheap labor, are
faced with a hard life and various brutalities. Both adults and children must live these lives of horrible
situations where they have no other choice than to work at extremely low wages because of Haiti s
poverty levels. Whether they are sent away from their families to live in the city, in order to have a
better life, or they re born poor and go to the city to work everyday, these people do not live a good
life. The children who work have long hours, usually from early dawn until night, and go home,
sometimes only to be abused. (Dupuy, 2014). These conditions are put onto lonely, young, and
exhausted children who are not living with their families. But these conditions of long work hours in
Haiti do not only apply to children, but also young people and middle aged, too (Shah, 1998). The

Black Scholes Pricing Model
In 1973, Myron Scholes and Fisher Black developed the framework on option pricing and presented
the theory in their seminal paper. With reference to both approach and application the Black Scholes
Model is considered to be one of the most significant concepts in modern financial theory. For valuing
options the Black Sholes Model is viewed as a standard model.
Assumptions
To compute the value of a stock option the Black Scholes Option Pricing Model is used. Both call and

put option can be calculated with the help of the model. For the accurate application of the Black
Scholes Pricing Model it is necessary to be familiar with its assumptions. Black and Scholes specified
the following assumptions in their seminal paper (1973). (Ray, 2012)
I. Constant volatility
Volatility refers to the movement of the stock price whether upwards or downwards. The model
assumes that the volatility does not change and is known to market participants. This implies that the
variance of the return remains constant over the life of the option.

Conclusions and Evaluation:
The purpose of this lab was to explore how certain quantities of hydrogen peroxide would affect the
amount of oxygen gas produced in the following lab. The hypothesis of the lab in question was that, if
the amount of Hydrogen peroxide added to the catalase (liver) solution increased, then the amount of
oxygen gas produced would be much greater. This is because the greater amount of hydrogen peroxide
in a catalase solution will result in there being more solution to deform into oxygen. Evidently after

they do this? The only thing a reader can do is make his/her assumption based off of the facts given

How Much More Will Be Lost? One of the seemingly perennial debates in American education is how
students who speak a language different from English at home (and perhaps exclusively) and how best
to help them acclimate to a country in which English in the dominant language. Most of this debate
centers on Spanish speakers, since there are so many Spanish speaking students in American schools,
and this is certainly a legitimate focus. However, this paper examines a related topic that gets far less
attention. What should be educational policy regarding mainstreaming students whose primary

The Story I chose for my research paper was A Sound of Thunder by Ray Bradbury. I chose this story
because out of all the stories I ve read this semester this one has been the most intriguing. It s a story

dangerous and should never be used lightly. The butterfly effect otherwise known as the chaos theory

In his previous book, Malcolm Gladwell coined the phrase tipping point , meaning the moment when
an idea or concept suddenly becomes popular within the general populace, and in his following book,
he gives us the term Outliers which means something that lies outside of the normal or the expected.
In his book Blink, Gladwell provides us with two more phrases; thin slicing and blink. To blink is to
act without thinking, working on split second decisions to make choices. Thin slicing is using the
small amount of information that is known to come to a conclusion without further searching for more
information. According to Gladwell, snap judgements often provide better decisions than well
informed, over analysed ones, which is ironic in our generation of information overload. The book, in
