Analysis of “Where Does the Temple Begin. Where Does It...
Sultan Qaboos University Language Centre FPEL EEAL0560 Poetry Project File Analysis of Where
Does the Temple Begin. Where does it end? by Mary Oliver [pic] Name: Eman Amer Salim AL amri .
ID Number:102400. Section: 350 . Submitted to : Nicholas Hilmers. Where Does the Temple Begin,
Where Does It End? There are things you can t reach. But you can reach out to them, and all day long.
The wind, the bird flying away. The idea of God. And it can keep you as busy as anything else, and
happier. The snake slides away; the fish jumps, like a little lily, out of the water and back in; the

In line 6 the writer gives us an image in the phrase the snake slides away. Here the writer describes the
wonderful movement of a snake that can make you carious to know how it is created. Furthermore in
the same line the speaker give us a simile when she describes the jumping of a fish like a little lily
which is type of plant that grows from a bulb and that has large white or coloured flowers .( Oxford
dictionary 2006)The writer also gives us another great image of nature :The gold finches sing from the
unreachable top of the tree . Here unreachable top of the tree is connected to the first line of the poem
where there are things you can t reach even if you want to like the gold finches who sing from a far
place. In line 7 the writer invites us to look at nature by saying I look and then saying morning to night
where she means she looks at nature all day long without feeling bored or done with looking. In line 8
the writer tells us that in line 7 when she said looking she didn t mean just standing around in nature,
but standing around as though with your arms open .Here I think the writer means that your mind
should be open and think about what god created .In line 9 the poet extends this idea by saying that
when you stand around with your mind open and working, maybe something will come to you, for
example, a shining coil of wind. Maybe she means some air which will give you an energetic spirit.

The Nation of Islam Essay examples
The Nation of Islam: A Source of Hope
In the early 1930 s, in Detroit, when the Nation of Islam was initially founded it was not really widely
known. It was a very secluded and introverted religion and community. It was not until they came
under the leadership of Elijah Muhammad that the Nation of Islam became a household name in the
early 1960 s. The Nation of Islam, during the 60 s, was one of the forerunners for African American
unity. They strove for a separate black community. They wanted to be completely separated from the
white community only because, according to their beliefs, white people were all devils. Elijah
Muhammad being influenced by many people and factors in his life led the Nation of Islam to the
point where many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, Poole s ideals began to slowly change when he moved to Detroit in the 1920s at the age of
22. During that time in Detroit, Marcus Garvey was an orator and leader to the black community. Pool
traveled to Chicago to hear one of Garvey s messages. Garvey s message conveyed the ideas of the
redemption of Africa, an independent black economy, the importance of racial identity, and the pride
and solidarity blacks should have for themselves. Of course Pool was influenced by Garvey s words,
along with other African Americans, because during the time of the Depression those encouraging and
uplifting words brought a lot of hope to people. Pool was a perfect example of one in need of hope
especially after he lost his job at the Cherokee Brick Company in Macon. (Turner) One could come to
the conclusion that the Depression itself was another factor in the need for hope, which was produced
by the Nation of Islam in later years.
During the 1920 s, the black population started to grow very fast in Detroit. In the second year of the
Great Depression, blacks and other European immigrants were in deep competition for jobs. As a
result, blacks feelings towards whites became more bitter. It didn t matter if it were the immigrants
that they were in competition with or even to the police to that matter. Blacks just became more
resentful toward white people, in Detroit. Another contributing factor to the conflict between blacks
and whites was

Street Art And Art Vandalism
Street Art; an endless debate on whether people should consider the form of art vandalism or a part of
the Fine Arts movement. Street Art (also known as Graffiti ) first appeared in the beginning of human
society and prehistoric times with inscriptions, hieroglyphics and figure drawings found in walls,
caves, and monuments from Egyptian times as well as ancient Rome. According to Wikipedia, this
form of expression can be defined as writings, paintings, drawings, symbols or scribbling on a surface
such as walls, pavements, monuments, and other public or private properties. A new developing art
form with a lot of controversy, Graffiti has grown and become known for the illegality behind the
making of the art. Many see Street Art and tend to attribute vandalism to the art form due to all the
negativity that has gone around in regards to Graffiti. Individuals who are part of the authority system
or close minded have the tendency to be the ones who believe that any form of art displayed on public
walls can be considered nothing more than vandalism, while those who see the artworks as a form of
Art are the ones who can see behind the illegality and are usually individuals who are open minded or
keen to all types of Art. Should individuals retire the negative thoughts and criminality behind Street
Art and finally recognize the form as a legitimate art form while leaving Graffiti out ?

Comparing Plato s Views On Mind And Body
Thai Huynh
November 18th, 2015
Soul and Body
The mind (soul) and the body can be apart somehow. You trust something in your soul even the things
you trust does not exist, and you trust how thing is when you see it by how it is. Now I am giving
example of three philosophers to show how they debate about mind and soul.
Plato thinks that souls can and will exist outside of the body and can exist after the dead of the body.
He provided a proof for this position and is the first to do this in writing that we have nothing to do so.
He assumes that humans were composed of bodies and souls but the souls are the most important and
immortal things. For example, Plato thought that he could conclude that the soul could exist
independent of the body because it acted independently from the body when it engaged in pure
thought. The reason is people come to know things is that they are remembering the knowledge
implanted in their souls when the souls were in the realm of pure thought and eternal forms before
entering into the body after which they forgot as they became confused by physical emotions a
feelings and limited experiences through the senses. Plato s position on notion (mind)is the concept,
the knowledge has been objectified. They were pullout of human consciousness, blending into the
world of thought is considered the master similar concepts. The notion is deemed to exist in general,
immutable and eternal. Plato insisted that the notion is what does not exist is the reality. In

What games assigns players a piece that transports them around a neighborhood and gives you cash
every time you pass go? Well Monopoly of course! Why is it so great? Well it involves money! So

The Benefits Of The Athenian Democracy
The athenian democracy started to develop after the Persian War. Under Particle s rule, Athens
economy thrived and the government became more democratic. Not all Athens citizen agree about the
idea of democracy. There also people who supported democracy, because they think it will help free
the citizens from the rule of tyrants and long. To make Athens democracy stronger they have to bring
people together. First, Athenian democracy should be about every citizen and how they should take
part in Athens democracy. For example, many people who are part of Athenian democracy are the
ones who owned parts of the land. The word democracy had not yet been invented, the foundations
has been laid (D#7). This shows that, only the rich are part of the Athenian democracy and not all the
poor citizens were part of Athenian democracy. Many of the poor citizens didn t receive the rights they
deserved. In conclusion, not all of the citizens of Athen were a part of the Athenian democracy.
Second, Athens democracy is about how no one should be above the law. For example, if you commit
a crime, then you should get the punishment for your crime. ... required to pay the penalty: He had to
settle his private affairs within ten days and to depart from the city for ten years (D#6). This shows
that, the government is trying to maintain order by punishing people who commit a crime without a
look at who they are. There are consequence for their actions. In conclusion, by maintaining

Theory of Knowledge Essay
Knowledge can be gained and interpreted in many different ways. It all depends on how people
prioritize different ways of knowing and how they perceive what knowledge is. This has led to the
question, Does knowledge consist solely of proven facts and information that can be organized in a
coherent manner, or is knowledge deeper, depending not only on facts, but also on interpretation
stemming from individual experiences? The question is, are facts alone enough to constitute
knowledge or do those facts need to be interpreted under guidance of personal experiences in order to
gain knowledge. In two areas of knowledge that have a large role in my life, natural science and
religion, I can see both sides to the argument.
There are many times that I agree with the statement that knowledge is nothing more than the
systematic organization of facts. Facts are, as Eugenie Carol Scott states in her book Evolution vs.
Creationism, confirmed observations that can be disproven upon further study (Scott 12). When facts
are systematically organized, meaning they are put in a certain order for a specific reason, in a way
that allows each piece of information to support the previous information, a coherent synthesis of
knowledge is able to be gained. In the natural sciences, this organization of facts is almost entirely
logic based. Scientists have to examine what they know and draw conclusions by piecing together
facts that make sense. Scientists cannot change the knowledge they have due

Lead Iodide Lab Report
In this lab we recovered lead ions from a solution by creating a precipitate, lead(II) iodide that could
be separated from the mixture. We create lead(II) iodide in this experiment by mixing a solution of
lead(II) nitrate and a solution of potassium iodide. The reaction they create results in the bright yellow
precipitate lead(II) iodide upon contact, Although this substance may be very interesting to look at,
this and all other types of lead extremely dangerous to our health. Although contact to skin or eyes
may only be an irritant that should be flushed or washed away with soap and water, exposure over
time can yield more deadly effects. Long term exposure can cause damage to the brain, the nervous
system, the kidneys, can cause anemia and has also been found to be carcinogenic. ... Show more

But, before this was common knowledge lead was everywhere, one extremely prominent use was as
paint, lead was used in paint since it decreases the drying time, makes the paint more durable, more
opaque and moisture resistant. Without knowledge of the risks, lead paint seems like a great
improvement upon paints of the time. Lead(II) iodide in particular was used as paint because of it s
bright yellow hue which also means the shade was favorable in printing and photography as well as
many children s toys. The problems that comes with lead in children s toys is that children will touch
or even chew on them, ingesting the toxic chemical. Over the years as we learned about the effects we
ve made lots of efforts to remove leads from our lives, lead paint laws were introduced in canada in
1976 and by 1990 paint hardly had any lead in it at all. While we still see items recalled from time to
time for containing lead, our health and our awareness have both increased and we are able to live

After a year, the most famous Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice changed the whole concept of
vampires. Vampire Chronicles featured vampires who are romantic and are the opposite of how they
were first introduced (Laming, n.d.). In the year 2005, Stephenie Meyer published the phenomenal
Twilight, the first book to the epic series that gave birth to billions of vampire addicted teens and
tweens in the 21st century. It all started when Meyer dreamt of a scene in 2003 wherein a handsome
young vampire was talking to an ordinary human girl. After having this dream, she decided to make a
story out of it. After many sleepless nights and countless instances where she wanted to give up, she
still continued on working. And all that work finally paid off when that dream finally became
Twilight. Twilight is about a story of two individuals who fell in love with each other. The difference it
makes from other love stories is that Twilight is a love story between a human and a vampire,
specifically Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. Bella Swan was just an ordinary girl, but to Edward
Cullen, she was the most exquisite thing he has ever seen in his 104 years of existence. He treated her
better than how he treated anyone else, even himself. He loved her like there is nothing else to love.
He made her his reason for living. All these were perfectly described in the book. As someone who

Theme Of Revenge In Wuthering Heights
One s emotions of hate have the potential to overthrow one s state of being and may cause harm to
others around them. In Emily Brontë s Wuthering Heights, several characters emotions are overtaken
by revenge thus leading them to suffer in the end. Revenge grows early in the novel. It begins with the
hate that Hindley Earnshaw holds for Heathcliff, an orphan who has been taken in by Hindley s father,
Mr. Earnshaw. Later in the novel, Heathcliff s love of his life, Catherine Earnshaw, marries Edgar
Linton which as one can imagine becomes devastating for Heathcliff. This sense of betrayal causes
Heathcliff to seek revenge on the Lintons and Earnshaws. Ultimately, Heathcliff becomes the
character that is mainly driven by the strong desire for revenge. The novel demonstrates how revenge
seems to be the easiest method for gaining fulfillment, but it time disturbs the characters peace of
mind and becomes the root of their downfall. Hindley Earnshaw is the first character in the novel that
obtains the desire for revenge. Early in the book Mr. Earnshaw takes a trip to Liverpool during the
time Catherine and Hindley were still children. He then returns with Heathcliff who was an orphan
from the streets. As he continues to live in the Earnshaw household, Mr. Earnshaw grows love for
Heathcliff, similar to Catherine who also begins to grow a relationship with him. So, from the very
beginning, he bred bad feeling in the house implies that Mr, Earnshaw s strong favoritism for
Heathcliff becomes a major threat for Hindley (33). This means that Heathcliff may become the new
man of the house which would make Hindley very upset. Mr. Earnshaw s demonstration of love for
Heathcliff causes Hindley to gain jealousy and makes him take his anger out on Heathcliff. He has
been blaming our father (how dared he?) for treating H. too liberally; and swears he will reduce him to
his right place fully indicates that Hindley feels anger towards his father for bringing Heathcliff into
their home (19). It seems that Hindley feels that he is not receiving the attention he deserves from his
own father and instead Heathcliff, who is not even Mr. Earnshaw s biological son, is Mr. Earnshaw s
only priority. This ultimately triggers Hindley

The Influence of Media Technology and Information and Communication Technology
Today it is not sufficient to have knowledge and experience, it is indispensable to be able to share

Media and technology can be one type of channel ortoolbox to enhance the learning environment, but
I believe that they are not the only solution for achieving our educational goals. McLuhan (1964)
proposed the idea that medium is the message and the four tiered questions to evaluate new
technology when we think about applying it: what does it extend? ; what does it make obsolete? ; what
is retrieved? and what does the technology revert into if it is over extended? . I believe that if we
seriously rethink those questions before we determine what kind of technology we will use to
improveour teaching, it will lead us to a more neutral decision.

The Great Gatsby And Tender Is The Night
The loneliest moment in someone s life is when they are watching their whole world fall apart, and all
they can do is stare blankly. As mentioned by Fitzgerald, could it be true that even though the people
that are extremely wealthy could also lead a truly happy lifestyle? As a matter of fact, it probably
pleases one s ear to hear those words together in a sentence. But also maybe just maybe leading a life
with an endless supply of wealth and popularity doesn t necessarily lead the perfect lifestyle you
imagined. Examples such as The Great Gatsby and Tender is the Night both being set in the early 1900
s where The Great Gatsby subsides in Long Island, New York follows Nick Carraway, a young
aspiring bondsman looking to make some sales and along with that mixes with up everyone else s
affairs. As for Tender is the Night, it follows a problematic wife and a husband who has questionable
love interests where it switches on and off. In his two novels, The Great Gatsby and Tender is the
Night, American author F. Scott Fitzgerald illustrates that certain characters in the novels exhibit
unhealthy, lavish lifestyles that are based on unwholesome values of high society , which leads to their
eventual downfall.
The characters in the novels are often corrupted or even blinded by the sight of money which results in
their downfall. They have a choice to do what they do but they choose the path which would be a
rather corrupted path. Daisy Buchanan s downfall is caused by her tendency

both internal and external environment impacts the growth of SIA and how the competitive
environment stimulates the growth of this company.
2.0 Background of SIA
It all began in 1947 when Malayan Airways started having scheduled services from Singapore, Kuala

comfort and new fleets in order to boost sales. And again by bring in new fleets, it gives customer a
sense of security. New developments made a huge impact on Singapore Airlines. Its carrier are the
very few with younger fleets in the market and on top of that it s the first to adopt new innovations
such as reclining seats and seatback entertainment system with headsets.
Environmental
In recent years, there is a growing concern among passengers regarding environmentally friendly
services. Due to carbon reduction targets and increasing energy prices, this preference is likely to
grow. Certain airlines have already started to tackle this green issue, amalgamating into their company
social responsibility. But SIA has been slow to respond to this demand from customers.
Legal
Changing the regulatory framework may impact heavily on airlines, especially those which are
national carriers. Each government has their own outlook and strategies, which may impact the
aviation industry heavily. For example, the terrorist event that happened in September 11, 2001. After

Longitude Dava Sobel Summary
Dava Sobel is the author of Longitude: The true story of a Lone Genius Who Solved the Greatest
Scientific Problem of His Time. She also wrote Galileo s Daughter, The Planets, and A More Perfect
Heaven. She was born in The Bronx, New York, and attended Binghamton University. She tried her
hand at teaching at the University of Chicago, and was a judge for a prestigious science writing award.
She loves Solar Eclipses and is willing to go wherever is needed to see them.
The book revolves around the solution to the longtime problem of figuring longitude, especially at sea.
Every Ship s captain was utterly lost every time they sailed far enough to lose sight of the land. With
no way to determine what their longitude was, they were literally wandering around until they bumped
into something; hopefully their desired destination. The British Parliament enacted the Longitude Act
which offered a pile of money, £20,000 to be exact, for a viable solution to the problem. People will
do anything for money, especially this kind of money. The longitude Act brought some outright
peculiar ideas for calculating longitude ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ships were supposed to be placed in the middle of the ocean and would signal the time and the

Manning the ship would be another huge challenge that would have to be overcome. This method got

Comparing The World Is Too Much With Us And God s Grandeur
God s Grandeur by Gerard Manley Hopkins and The World Is Too Much With Us by William
Wordsworth concur on the concept of nature versus the way society tends to treat it; however, they
express it in different ways through tone and figurative language, such as metaphors and allusions.
Gerard Manley Hopkins seems to have an abstract outlook on the concept of nature, taking it as a
whole into great consideration and includes his personal religious beliefs within God s Grandeur such
as how the holy ghost is watching over nature as it persists, which brings a positive side to the
depressing reality (13 14). God s Grandeur uses many types of figurative language and poetic
elements; however, the many metaphors and similes stand out the most for being the majority of the
poem as well as conveying the horrors of humanity to his audience. Hopkins writes, It will flame out,
like shining from shook ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The simile is based on foil, the thin sheet of metal, and compares it to the flame of humanity;
essentially, once the light is gone, it s the end and time is either wasted or not, which Hopkins relates
to shaking a piece of tinfoil and watching the light quickly disappear. Surprisingly, this is one of
Hopkins less puzzling similes, which is shocking due to the fact that it seems to almost be a riddle.
Aside from metaphors and similes, one of the strongest points for works of Gerard Manley Hopkins is
the imagery, in which we see very dark flickers of what mankind has substantially come to. An
example of dark imagery would be Generations have trod, have trod, have trod... (Hopkins 5).
Repetition is also noticeable and significant in this line because it gives the

Montgomery Bus Boycott Rosa Parks Arrest
Today, many people believed that the arrest of Rosa Parks in 1955 kicked off the Montgomery Bus
Boycott, and that her arrest is known to be the start of the Civil Rights Movement. To put it bluntly,
she did not start the Civil Rights Movement; the murder of Emmett Till is the catalyst that started the
Civil Rights Movement. As for the Montgomery Bus Boycott, that part is slightly true and slightly
false. Rosa Parks herself was not the first black woman who refused to give up her seat. That right
belongs to Claudette Colvin. Claudette Colvin, a 15 year old high school student was arrested for
refusing to give up her seat to a white couple. She was sent to court despite the city law required
passengers to move only if another seat was available, which in this case there were no more seats
available (McGuire 68). With this as major evidence, one would think that she got off without a guilty
sentence. That, in fact, did not happen. After she was found guilty of breaking the law, Jo Ann

The Revolt Of Mother By Mary E. Wilkins
Even in the 21st century, there is still a lingering idea that women strictly belong in the home. This can
be attributed to both the continuous, though evolved, embrace of the Cult of Domesticity and natural
law. In the eighteenth century the Cult of Domesticity was embraced and challenged by many women,
as it is today. The Revolt of Mother by Mary E. Wilkins Freeman is a literary example that reinforces
the idea of the Cult of Domesticity by showing the reader the boundaries between genders and the
power, however limited, that a woman has. In contrast, Kate Chopin s The Story of An Hour , shows
the constraints that gender roles put on a woman. Chopin s story challenges the Cult of Domesticity by
using the character s internal dialogue to show that this was not the life she pictured. The Cult of
Domesticity can be tied to other themes, such as the burden of motherhood, as in I Stand Here Ironing
by Tillie Olsen. The home and the children were all under control of the woman of the house, and
though it sometimes feels like a burden, it is the woman s obligation. Olsen did not fully accept nor
fully condemn the Cult of Domesticity; she simply presented it as the way of life. By using the main
character s internal monologues and their actions to control, or not control, their domains, each of
these authors presents their view on the Cult of Domesticity. Wilkin s story, The Revolt of Mother is
often misinterpreted by modern readers. Mother is not challenging her role as

The Role and Function of the Fool in King Lear
Explore the role and function of ‘The Fool in ‘King Lear The Fool in ‘King Lear is a William
Shakespeare creation. Shakespeare has the ability to reveal a human character with an exceptional use
of language. He allows us to see more than just words on the paper; we re given a multi dimensional
insight into a character. Usually his characters aren t as straight forward as black or white, they are
invariably more complex. Edmund for example, it s easy to present him as the villain but Shakespeare
also shows us a sorry side to him as he attempts an apology before he dies. Shakespeare has given us
concrete images of things that are inexpressible, such as love. To articulate a multi faceted view of a

The Fool also likes to remind Lear that he has not only failed himself but his people too. ‘So out went
the candle and we were left darkling Lear was the light of the state now he has abdicated the light has
gone out and he s let his people down by leaving them in the incapable hands of his two daughters.
Eventually the Fool gets a glimmer of hope back from Lear when he realises his mistakes. ‘I did her

stressing the point would only bring Lear down. Some critics say The Fool is responsible for pushing
Lear over the edge. I like to think it was necessary for Lear to go through madness so he can truly
appreciate the consequences of his actions. The Fool was helping Lear to ‘see better . Finally Lear s
conscience catches up with him at least to an extent when he says ‘poor fool and knave I have one
part in my heart that s sorry for thee. The Fool s sarcasm is blunt and hard hitting, just like Cordelia s
truth was in the ‘love test . ‘I am better than thou art now I am a fool thou art nothing . The Fool is
one of the Truth tellers in the play. Cordelia and Kent being the other two. However the fool doesn t

traditionally the role of the fool is. The main role of the fool was to entertain. Yet they

Causes Of The Imperial Crisis Of The 1760s And 1770s
In the wake of the French Indian War in the 1750s to the early 1760s, the British accumulated a large
amount of imperial debt that resulted in an increased involvement in the mother country s colonies.
This involvement began the Imperial Crisis of the 1760s and 1770s. During this crisis, the British
began seeing the colonies as inferior, rather than their equals, and become obsessed with the many
ways that the colonies could be used to financially benefit Britain. As tensions grew, colonists were
left with few choices due to the controlling nature of the British government. This justified the
colonists decision to seek independence from the British, as well as their lack of representation in
Parliament, the enforcement of unjust taxes and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Townshend Acts of 1767 were also a critical reason for the colonial actions taken during the
Imperial Crisis. These acts placed taxes on goods imported into North America, once again resulting
in a boycott. These boycotts caused the colonists to rely on American made goods rather than foreign,
allowing the colonists to experience the possibilities of self sufficiency and furthering the distaste for
British rule. The Townshend Acts led to the Boston Massacre of 1770, as British troops fired into a
crowd of rioting Bostonians. This event increased the tensions between the colonists and British. After
the Townshend Acts were repealed, the Tea Act was enforced, requiring the colonists to pay a tax for
tea. This tax was rejected in the colonies because the colonies believed that recognizing the tax would
be recognizing Parliament s authority to tax unlawfully, without consent and representation. The
colonists refused the act by dumping imported tea into the Boston Harbor. This infuriated the British,
who then implemented the Intolerable Acts. These acts required colonists to house British soldiers in
their homes without consent, restricted the colonists right to assemble, and allowed governors to
appoint councilmen without election. The colonists viewed these acts as major threats to their freedom
and further fueled conflict in the Americas. The Olive Branch Petition of 1775 was written by the
colonists and addressed to King George III as a last ditch effort to

Compare And Contrast Enlightenment And Hobbes

In a time when ignorance and superstition plagued the lands, only the brightest of thinkers could

natural laws that governed human behavior. Thus, marking the commencement of a period called the
Age of Reason. After witnessing the immense feats conquered by the likes of Newton, thinkers
thought that implementing the concepts of the scientific method could reveal laws about humankind.
Among the elite of those thinkers were John Locke and Thomas Hobbes. Locke and Hobbes are

On one hand, Hobbes had a more pessimistic inference of human nature and thought that it was
principally bad. In his work, The Leviathan, he suggests, as said before, that all men are equal, but he
argues that this equality brews the desire of obtaining something. Sometimes, this thing can only be
attained and enjoyed by one person. Consequently, people become enemies. Furthermore, he insists
that without a common power to maintain them, they are in a condition called war. This conflict
provoking state leaves no room for productivity and prosperity, proclaims Hobbes (Collier 15). On the
contrary, Locke, generally, thought that people were essentially reasonable and would collaborate with
one another. In his work, Of Civil Government, Locke writes that men living according to reason,
without a common authority to decide between them, is properly the state of nature. Additionally, he
argues that God has given man reason to exploit and thereby achieve optimal convenience. Likewise,
he thinks that nothing made by God is created to be damaged or spoiled, so, he claims, that there is
room for conflict if reason is exercised (Collier

Primary Heating Water Circuit At The Generators
Primary Cooling Water Circuit In The Generators :
The treated water used for cooling of the stator winding, phase connectors and bushings is designated
as primary water in order to distinguish it from the secondary coolant (raw water, condensator etc.).
The primary water is circulated in a closed circuit and dissipates the absorbed heat to the secondary
cooling in the primary water cooler. The pump is supplied with in primary water cooler. The pump is

paths:
Flow path I :
Flow path I cools the stator winding. This flow path passes through water manifold on the exciter end
of the generator and from there to the stator bars via insulated bar is connected to the manifold by a
separate hose. Inside the bars the cooling water flows through hollow strands. At the turbine end, the
water is passed through the similar hoses to another water manifold and then return to the primary
water tank. Since a single pass water flow through the stator is used, only a minimum temperature rise
is obtained for both the coolant and the bars. Relatively movements due to the different thermal
expansions between the top and the bottom bars are thus minimized.

Pride And Prejudice Displacements
In my final paper I will argue that the displacement of social class appears in three way: gender role,
marriage and places. The displacement plays a major role in the novel because it encourages people in
society break the restrictions and achieve the life they want. First of all, at that time, women s
behaviors are absolutely important, and their sole purpose in life is to find a husband, reproduce and
then spend the rest of their lives serving him. Nevertheless, Elizabeth believes that women have the
right to be the independent until they meet the right man. She looks for a man without paying attention
to his wealth and goes against her mother s belief, which is the displacement of her obligation as a
child. In addition, Jane Austen uses love to reveal how the characters overcome numerous obstacles. ...

Marriage is an issue in society; however, the characters do not care about their social class and they
struggle to find their true love. For instance, throughout the novel, Elizabeth and Mr. Bingley displace
their ideals and class in order to be together. Last but not least, some particular places in Pride and
Prejudice express a displacement of character s moral as well. Pemberley, which is a geographic
symbol of the novel, makes Elizabeth see Mr. Darcy s true character through his home. Elizabeth
learns that Mr. Darcy is a kind master to his servants and is solicitous for the well being of his little

The Wrong Enemy
Carlotta Gall s February 6 piece in the New York Times (NYT), titled Pakistan s Hand in the Rise of
International Jihad, is a journalistic marvel. It spotlights the dizzying creativity a human brain is
capable of when paired with a massive axe to grind. Unfortunately, for prose jammed with so many
accusations, Gall s piece is surprisingly light on substantive sources. Oh, but she makes up for this
foible by heaping dollops of self righteous Americentrism.
No surprises here. Gall, after all, penned The Wrong Enemy: America in Afghanistan 2001 2014, a

In spite of this, how could life possibly emerge? The answer is within the skies. It rained for millions
of years and seas of lava eventually turned into seas of water, becoming a gateway for life to possibly
emerge. Along with this are the other goldilocks conditions such as energy and chemical elements,
mostly carbon which Earth is in abundance of. So now that the Earth became a hospitable place in
which life could emerge, how did it really emerge? Life emerged under the oceanic vents where
simple elements formed amino acids that are keys to creating protein and nucleotides that are keys to

Balzac And The Chinese Little Seamstress Analysis
In Balzac and The Chinese Little Seamstress, a historical fiction by Dai Sijie, the Little Seamstress is
transformed as Luo and the narrator tell the stories of the French books. Before she leaves, the Little
Seamstress first alters the Mao jacket for herself and asks her father to buy a pair of white tennis shoes
in Yong Jing. At the end, she even changes her hairstyle to be like a city girl. She says, a woman s
beauty is a treasure beyond price. (178) . By this statement, she means that people can be judged by
their physical appearances. I totally disagree with the Little Seamstress statement. People should never
be judged by their looks. My idea mainly comes from my experiences and what I see in media. You
know what, nobody is perfect in this world, and beauty is abstract. Beauty standards differ across
cultures and from time to time, so ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many people usually say we need to care about personality more than the looks, and they end up
loving pop stars and actors. People can t be more wrong! Don t fall in the trap of companies! The
companies shape the idea of typical beauty to make money out of it. One Direction, a British band, is
a good example. All the members of One Direction are good looking, so that many teenagers spend
money on their concerts and goods. And that s exactly what the companies want making money. But I
wanna tell you something. We are more than our looks! Okay, let s think about Susan Boyle. We all
know who she is. When she introduces herself in Britains Got Talent [2], a Britain TV show, the
judges and the audience disdain her only by her looks. But she doesn t care what people think about
her. When she starts to sing the song, the judges reactions are full of respect. And now, she is one of
the most famous singers in the world. Really, we can t judge others by their looks. We should stop this
trend! Don t be fooled by those

Skiing Is A Way Of Survival
As you stand at the top of a run and look down over the mountain; with twisting and turning slopes,
you feel at peace and connected with nature. This is what skiing can do for you; however, it hasn t
always been a way to get out and enjoy the mountain air. As a matter of fact, skiing used to be mainly
for survival.
Scientists have found rock art drawn by ancient civilizations in 8000 B.C. that depict people skiing.
Back in those days, it was the Scandinavians, Russians, and Altay Mountain folk that were using some
form of skis to travel vast distances and hunt; thus skiing was a way of survival. It wasn t until about
the 1860 s that Americans in Sierra Nevada started to use skis to race and have fun. After that, well the
rest is history skiing is now a significant leisure activity around the world. However, there are
important points in the history of skiing that made a considerable difference in the ski world we know
today.
It is still being debated where skiing originated, but it most likely the Tuvan s who developed skiing
within the Altay Mountains of China. Altay skis were made of wood with one end curled upward,
there were straps for your feet, and horsehide on the bottoms. The horse hair made the skis grip when
walking uphill, but then slide when going downhill. The Tuvan s also used a single pole called a
Taiyak for steering and balance. The skis were approximately 8 feet long and skier used them by
leaning back extremely far; making them gain speed quickly. This

Dill Symbolism
BANG, a gunshot cracks through the air and a bluejay falls from the sky and all other birds except one
has fled. The mocking bird stands there on the tree branch singing its heart out. It was an easier target
than the flying blue jay, but as people knew, it was a sin to kill a mockingbird. To Kill a Mockingbird
is perhaps one of the most known classic book, with over 30 million copies sold. It tells the story of
young Scout Finch and Jem Finch and their childhood and the events that happened in her time. But
perhaps there is also a deeper meaning to the text than meets the eye. Symbolism is omnipresent in the
book, with it always telling a story on another level. Some examples include but not limited to are
Dill, Miss Maudie s flowers, and perhaps the most relevant, the battle of Bob Ewell and Arthur Boo
Radley. Dill, the summer time friend of siblings Jem and Scout Finch is a very notable symbol in the
book. Dill is a scrawny boy who symbolizes the childhood of JEm and Scout Finch back when they
first discovered him [Dill]. As the book say, Dill blushed and Jem told me to hush, a sure sign that Dill
had been studied and found ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the battle almost ended we can hear Boo Radley coming to help out the kids before any more
damage was done. Still but for a man breathing heavily, breathing heavily and staggering. I thought he
went to the tree and leaned against it. He coughed violently, a sobbing, boneshaking cough. (Lee Pg.
266). We know that this is Boo Radley who fended off Bob Ewell and saved the kids as Atticus says
Thank you for my children, Arthur... (Lee Pg. 281). This is a definite symbol between the fight of
good and evil with BOb, who convicted Tom Robinson, and spit in Atticus s face and Boo who leaves

Compare And Contrast New England And Southern Colonies
New England consisted of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New Hampshire. While the
southern colonies were Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina and Georgia. Even though both of them
were in the New World they differ religiously, economically, socially and politically. Both, New
England and Southern colonies, made an impact on the development of culture. New England s
motive to settle there was for freedom of religion due to being in England if they worshiped other
religions not been the Church of England, consequences would be imprisonment, fees, discrimination,
and even execution. They had two main religious established, Pilgrims and Puritans, been two
different religions. Pilgrims were the first permanent settlers on New England.1

Eleanor Roosevelt
Hernandez 1 Hernandez 1 On October 11, 1884, a remarkable individual whom would later be
considered one of the world s most influential women was born. Eleanor Roosevelt was born in New
York to her parents Anna Hall Roosevelt and Elliot Roosevelt. With her blue eyes and light brown
hair, she would warm the heart of every individual she came across. She grew to be five feet and
eleven inches, which to this day makes her the tallest first lady. With regards of being the first lady she
never regarded herself as a V.I.P., however she demonstrated her status with naturalness and
simplicity. Her simple style and elegant way s imposed her true character as the first lady. Through the

This left Eleanor in a decisive predicament. She offered to divorce him; in her heart she knew that it
would damage his and her new political career. She was also concerned for the well being of her
children. Eleanor said, It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness. In my perspective,
I whole heartedly concur with this quote because she sacrificed herself rather than to sacrifice her
family. She was willing to stay in a marriage that didn t even suit her just because she put others
before herself. Putting all of their differences aside, she still stood by his side as a normal first lady.
This represents her strong quality and character as a powerful woman. Eleanor was admired for her
idealism and good spirits. Many individuals benefited from her warm humanitarianism and deep
concern for the world. Being that she had great work ethic and wise counsel she devoted most of her
time to charity work. In 1902 in New York City, she participated in community service projects all
over the Manhattan Lower East Side. Her passion for learning and teaching went to a settlement home
with needy children. During this time she taught dancing, literature and calisthenics. She visited needy
children in the slums and investigated working conditions in garment factories and department stores.
During World War One, Eleanor worked for the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society and American Red
Cross. She helped aid wounded and dying soldiers. She defends

Is it ethical for Multinational Corporations to set up establishments or production factories in foreign
countries to take advantage of the use of child labor? Currently child labor is one of the most
controversial human rights issues that needs to be addressed. This issued can be addressed beginning
with the root issue of Multinational corporations (MNCs). This is a serious issue that should be
recognized nationally because of serious ethical concerns. Its estimated that about 168 million
children work in the labor force. Not only do they work extended hours, but an estimated 85 million of

But it is an issue considering 59 million children are considered to be doing hazardous work.
What are specific Multinational corporations in the world that use child labor? An example is the
multinational chocolate makers are heavily dependent on West Africa as mentioned. More than 70%
of the world s cocoa is grown in the region . (Fortune.com) An example In the Asian region includes
the world s most popular food and companies, everyday companies including AFAMSA, ADM,
Colgate Palmolive, Elevance, Kellogg s, Nestlé, Procter Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser and Unilever. All
use products containing palm oil tainted by shocking human rights abuses in Indonesia, with children
as young as eight working. (amnesty.org). These are just several examples of many MNC s using child
labor. Child labor does exists throughout the world predominately in the African and Asian regions.
Another concept is MNCs create more child labor based off expansion. Expansion is the driving force
of profit. Profit tends to be the end outcome for any corporation otherwise, expansion and FDI would
never exist. As mentioned before, more expansion means more

Where does it end? by Mary Oliver [pic] Name: Eman Amer Salim AL amri . ID Number:102400. Section: 350 . Submitted to : Nicholas Hilmers. Where Does the Temple Begin, Where Does It End? There are things you can t reach. But you can reach out to them, and all day long. The wind, the bird flying away. The idea of God. And it can keep you as busy as anything else, and happier. The snake slides away; the fish jumps, like a little lily, out of the water and back in; the goldfinches sing from the unreachable top of the tree. I look; morning to night I am never done with looking. Looking I mean not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In line 6 the writer gives us an image in the phrase the snake slides away. Here the writer describes the wonderful movement of a snake that can make you carious to know how it is created. Furthermore in the same line the speaker give us a simile when she describes the jumping of a fish like a little lily which is type of plant that grows from a bulb and that has large white or coloured flowers .( Oxford dictionary 2006)The writer also gives us another great image of nature :The gold finches sing from the unreachable top of the tree . Here unreachable top of the tree is connected to the first line of the poem where there are things you can t reach even if you want to like the gold finches who sing from a far place. In line 7 the writer invites us to look at nature by saying I look and then saying morning to night where she means she looks at nature all day long without feeling bored or done with looking. In line 8 the writer tells us that in line 7 when she said looking she didn t mean just standing around in nature, but standing around as though with your arms open .Here I think the writer means that your mind should be open and think about what god created .In line 9 the poet extends this idea by saying that when you stand around with your mind open and working, maybe something will come to you, for example, a shining coil of wind. Maybe she means some air which will give you an energetic spirit. Moreover when Oliver says few ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Nation of Islam Essay examples The Nation of Islam: A Source of Hope In the early 1930 s, in Detroit, when the Nation of Islam was initially founded it was not really widely known. It was a very secluded and introverted religion and community. It was not until they came under the leadership of Elijah Muhammad that the Nation of Islam became a household name in the early 1960 s. The Nation of Islam, during the 60 s, was one of the forerunners for African American unity. They strove for a separate black community. They wanted to be completely separated from the white community only because, according to their beliefs, white people were all devils. Elijah Muhammad being influenced by many people and factors in his life led the Nation of Islam to the point where many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, Poole s ideals began to slowly change when he moved to Detroit in the 1920s at the age of 22. During that time in Detroit, Marcus Garvey was an orator and leader to the black community. Pool traveled to Chicago to hear one of Garvey s messages. Garvey s message conveyed the ideas of the redemption of Africa, an independent black economy, the importance of racial identity, and the pride and solidarity blacks should have for themselves. Of course Pool was influenced by Garvey s words, along with other African Americans, because during the time of the Depression those encouraging and uplifting words brought a lot of hope to people. Pool was a perfect example of one in need of hope especially after he lost his job at the Cherokee Brick Company in Macon. (Turner) One could come to the conclusion that the Depression itself was another factor in the need for hope, which was produced by the Nation of Islam in later years. During the 1920 s, the black population started to grow very fast in Detroit. In the second year of the Great Depression, blacks and other European immigrants were in deep competition for jobs. As a result, blacks feelings towards whites became more bitter. It didn t matter if it were the immigrants that they were in competition with or even to the police to that matter. Blacks just became more resentful toward white people, in Detroit. Another contributing factor to the conflict between blacks and whites was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Street Art And Art Vandalism Street Art; an endless debate on whether people should consider the form of art vandalism or a part of the Fine Arts movement. Street Art (also known as Graffiti ) first appeared in the beginning of human society and prehistoric times with inscriptions, hieroglyphics and figure drawings found in walls, caves, and monuments from Egyptian times as well as ancient Rome. According to Wikipedia, this form of expression can be defined as writings, paintings, drawings, symbols or scribbling on a surface such as walls, pavements, monuments, and other public or private properties. A new developing art form with a lot of controversy, Graffiti has grown and become known for the illegality behind the making of the art. Many see Street Art and tend to attribute vandalism to the art form due to all the negativity that has gone around in regards to Graffiti. Individuals who are part of the authority system or close minded have the tendency to be the ones who believe that any form of art displayed on public walls can be considered nothing more than vandalism, while those who see the artworks as a form of Art are the ones who can see behind the illegality and are usually individuals who are open minded or keen to all types of Art. Should individuals retire the negative thoughts and criminality behind Street Art and finally recognize the form as a legitimate art form while leaving Graffiti out ? • 6. Comparing Plato s Views On Mind And Body Thai Huynh November 18th, 2015 Soul and Body The mind (soul) and the body can be apart somehow. You trust something in your soul even the things you trust does not exist, and you trust how thing is when you see it by how it is. Now I am giving example of three philosophers to show how they debate about mind and soul. Plato thinks that souls can and will exist outside of the body and can exist after the dead of the body. He provided a proof for this position and is the first to do this in writing that we have nothing to do so. He assumes that humans were composed of bodies and souls but the souls are the most important and immortal things. For example, Plato thought that he could conclude that the soul could exist independent of the body because it acted independently from the body when it engaged in pure thought. The reason is people come to know things is that they are remembering the knowledge implanted in their souls when the souls were in the realm of pure thought and eternal forms before entering into the body after which they forgot as they became confused by physical emotions a feelings and limited experiences through the senses. Plato s position on notion (mind)is the concept, the knowledge has been objectified. They were pullout of human consciousness, blending into the world of thought is considered the master similar concepts. The notion is deemed to exist in general, immutable and eternal. Plato insisted that the notion is what does not exist is the reality. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Not all Athens citizen agree about the idea of democracy. There also people who supported democracy, because they think it will help free the citizens from the rule of tyrants and long. To make Athens democracy stronger they have to bring people together. First, Athenian democracy should be about every citizen and how they should take part in Athens democracy. For example, many people who are part of Athenian democracy are the ones who owned parts of the land. The word democracy had not yet been invented, the foundations has been laid (D#7). This shows that, only the rich are part of the Athenian democracy and not all the poor citizens were part of Athenian democracy. Many of the poor citizens didn t receive the rights they deserved. In conclusion, not all of the citizens of Athen were a part of the Athenian democracy. Second, Athens democracy is about how no one should be above the law. For example, if you commit a crime, then you should get the punishment for your crime. ... required to pay the penalty: He had to settle his private affairs within ten days and to depart from the city for ten years (D#6). • 10. Theory of Knowledge Essay Knowledge can be gained and interpreted in many different ways. It all depends on how people prioritize different ways of knowing and how they perceive what knowledge is. This has led to the question, Does knowledge consist solely of proven facts and information that can be organized in a coherent manner, or is knowledge deeper, depending not only on facts, but also on interpretation stemming from individual experiences? The question is, are facts alone enough to constitute knowledge or do those facts need to be interpreted under guidance of personal experiences in order to gain knowledge. In two areas of knowledge that have a large role in my life, natural science and religion, I can see both sides to the argument. There are many times that I agree with the statement that knowledge is nothing more than the systematic organization of facts. Facts are, as Eugenie Carol Scott states in her book Evolution vs. Creationism, confirmed observations that can be disproven upon further study (Scott 12). When facts are systematically organized, meaning they are put in a certain order for a specific reason, in a way that allows each piece of information to support the previous information, a coherent synthesis of knowledge is able to be gained. In the natural sciences, this organization of facts is almost entirely logic based. Scientists have to examine what they know and draw conclusions by piecing together facts that make sense. Scientists cannot change the knowledge they have due ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The reaction they create results in the bright yellow precipitate lead(II) iodide upon contact, Although this substance may be very interesting to look at, this and all other types of lead extremely dangerous to our health. But, before this was common knowledge lead was everywhere, one extremely prominent use was as paint, lead was used in paint since it decreases the drying time, makes the paint more durable, more opaque and moisture resistant. Without knowledge of the risks, lead paint seems like a great improvement upon paints of the time. Lead(II) iodide in particular was used as paint because of it s bright yellow hue which also means the shade was favorable in printing and photography as well as many children s toys. The problems that comes with lead in children s toys is that children will touch or even chew on them, ingesting the toxic chemical. Over the years as we learned about the effects we ve made lots of efforts to remove leads from our lives, lead paint laws were introduced in canada in 1976 and by 1990 paint hardly had any lead in it at all. Vampire Chronicles featured vampires who are romantic and are the opposite of how they were first introduced (Laming, n.d.). In the year 2005, Stephenie Meyer published the phenomenal Twilight, the first book to the epic series that gave birth to billions of vampire addicted teens and tweens in the 21st century. It all started when Meyer dreamt of a scene in 2003 wherein a handsome young vampire was talking to an ordinary human girl. After having this dream, she decided to make a story out of it. After many sleepless nights and countless instances where she wanted to give up, she still continued on working. And all that work finally paid off when that dream finally became Twilight. Twilight is about a story of two individuals who fell in love with each other. The difference it makes from other love stories is that Twilight is a love story between a human and a vampire, specifically Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. Bella Swan was just an ordinary girl, but to Edward Cullen, she was the most exquisite thing he has ever seen in his 104 years of existence. • 14. Theme Of Revenge In Wuthering Heights One s emotions of hate have the potential to overthrow one s state of being and may cause harm to others around them. In Emily Brontë s Wuthering Heights, several characters emotions are overtaken by revenge thus leading them to suffer in the end. Revenge grows early in the novel. It begins with the hate that Hindley Earnshaw holds for Heathcliff, an orphan who has been taken in by Hindley s father, Mr. Earnshaw. Later in the novel, Heathcliff s love of his life, Catherine Earnshaw, marries Edgar Linton which as one can imagine becomes devastating for Heathcliff. This sense of betrayal causes Heathcliff to seek revenge on the Lintons and Earnshaws. Ultimately, Heathcliff becomes the character that is mainly driven by the strong desire for revenge. The novel demonstrates how revenge seems to be the easiest method for gaining fulfillment, but it time disturbs the characters peace of mind and becomes the root of their downfall. Hindley Earnshaw is the first character in the novel that obtains the desire for revenge. Early in the book Mr. Earnshaw takes a trip to Liverpool during the time Catherine and Hindley were still children. He then returns with Heathcliff who was an orphan from the streets. As he continues to live in the Earnshaw household, Mr. Earnshaw grows love for Heathcliff, similar to Catherine who also begins to grow a relationship with him. So, from the very beginning, he bred bad feeling in the house implies that Mr, Earnshaw s strong favoritism for Heathcliff becomes a major threat for Hindley (33). This means that Heathcliff may become the new man of the house which would make Hindley very upset. Mr. Earnshaw s demonstration of love for Heathcliff causes Hindley to gain jealousy and makes him take his anger out on Heathcliff. He has been blaming our father (how dared he?) for treating H. too liberally; and swears he will reduce him to his right place fully indicates that Hindley feels anger towards his father for bringing Heathcliff into their home (19). It seems that Hindley feels that he is not receiving the attention he deserves from his own father and instead Heathcliff, who is not even Mr. Earnshaw s biological son, is Mr. Earnshaw s only priority. This ultimately triggers Hindley ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Media and technology can be one type of channel ortoolbox to enhance the learning environment, but I believe that they are not the only solution for achieving our educational goals. Gerard Manley Hopkins seems to have an abstract outlook on the concept of nature, taking it as a whole into great consideration and includes his personal religious beliefs within God s Grandeur such as how the holy ghost is watching over nature as it persists, which brings a positive side to the depressing reality (13 14). Montgomery Bus Boycott Rosa Parks Arrest Today, many people believed that the arrest of Rosa Parks in 1955 kicked off the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and that her arrest is known to be the start of the Civil Rights Movement. To put it bluntly, she did not start the Civil Rights Movement; the murder of Emmett Till is the catalyst that started the Civil Rights Movement. As for the Montgomery Bus Boycott, that part is slightly true and slightly false. Rosa Parks herself was not the first black woman who refused to give up her seat. That right belongs to Claudette Colvin. Claudette Colvin, a 15 year old high school student was arrested for refusing to give up her seat to a white couple. • 24. The Revolt Of Mother By Mary E. Wilkins Even in the 21st century, there is still a lingering idea that women strictly belong in the home. This can be attributed to both the continuous, though evolved, embrace of the Cult of Domesticity and natural law. In the eighteenth century the Cult of Domesticity was embraced and challenged by many women, as it is today. The Revolt of Mother by Mary E. Wilkins Freeman is a literary example that reinforces the idea of the Cult of Domesticity by showing the reader the boundaries between genders and the power, however limited, that a woman has. In contrast, Kate Chopin s The Story of An Hour , shows the constraints that gender roles put on a woman. Chopin s story challenges the Cult of Domesticity by using the character s internal dialogue to show that this was not the life she pictured. The Cult of Domesticity can be tied to other themes, such as the burden of motherhood, as in I Stand Here Ironing by Tillie Olsen. The home and the children were all under control of the woman of the house, and though it sometimes feels like a burden, it is the woman s obligation. Olsen did not fully accept nor fully condemn the Cult of Domesticity; she simply presented it as the way of life. By using the main character s internal monologues and their actions to control, or not control, their domains, each of these authors presents their view on the Cult of Domesticity. The Townshend Acts led to the Boston Massacre of 1770, as British troops fired into a crowd of rioting Bostonians. This event increased the tensions between the colonists and British. After the Townshend Acts were repealed, the Tea Act was enforced, requiring the colonists to pay a tax for tea. It spotlights the dizzying creativity a human brain is capable of when paired with a massive axe to grind. Unfortunately, for prose jammed with so many accusations, Gall s piece is surprisingly light on substantive sources. Oh, but she makes up for this foible by heaping dollops of self righteous Americentrism. No surprises here. Gall, after all, penned The Wrong Enemy: America in Afghanistan 2001 2014, a tome that must surely feature as essential reading for Pakistanophobes. In her book, Gall posits that Washington s Afghan war strategy was flawed from the get go. After felling the Taliban, US forces should have kept marching east instead of invading Iraq. Why? Because without Pakistan s patronage, neither they nor Al Qaeda could ever have bloomed in the region. Okay, so I will not harp on about the Union Oil Company of California s (UNOCAL) Taliban connection, immortalized incidentally in an article titled Oil Barons court Taliban in Texas from British daily the Telegraph s 1997 archives. Trumbo kept me enthralled all the way through, and my attention just couldn t break away from it. Every element in it executed remarkably well, from the vividly enriched acting, to the heavily sharp themes, to the characters that boomed with personality, and even to the gracefully dim screenplay. There exists a sizable amount of illustrated life lessons to love and to learn about the film not only in the movie itself, but in its themes, its acting, and its screenplay as well. This letter to you expresses my praise for your effort put into the movie s, and thanks you for giving us such an awesome film to review in our class. To begin with, the movie s screenplay fantastically dramatized the movie itself. In fact, the film s screenplay managed to obtain a nomination for the Writers Guild of America Award in the Best Adapted Screenplay category.
