Fashion s Influence On Fashion
When one thinks of a genre they think of a book or a type of music. Genre can be thought of as a
category of art. Fashion is a form of art, artists everyday are creating works that they feel people will
wear and like. Fashion is a huge industry with thousands of designers that makes billions of dollars
per year. Whether people realize it or not, every single person has a sense of style and has their own
taste in clothing. With fashion there are different genres ranging from chic to bohemian to sporty.
Along with different genres of fashion, there are different genres of brands. With these two genres
combined, an examination of the correlation of the brands with the style of fashion will be examined.
The first genre of fashion we are going to examine is a style called chic . Chic is a French word that
means classy. When the word chic crosses my mind, I picture a girl standing in the streets of New
York City dressed up from head to toe looking her finest. Most chic clothes cover the body of the
person wearing them and makes them look a bit classier than others. BB Dakota is a brand that is
considered chic, it is on the lower of the scale of prices of clothes. Most of their clothes have been
seen in top boutiques and in department stores. Celebrities such as Taylor Swift and others have been
seen wearing this brand. It was first founded 30 years ago in Southern California by a French designer.
She limits the buyers of her clothing because she wants them to be unique and

Banking And The Banking System
ABSTRACT Banking has been developing drastically over the years, whether it s related to the
banking system or way individuals can withdraw or spend money. This has created a great leap in
banking crime. However there s a scare knowledge of the public s understanding of this. Data was
collected through a questionnaire and analysed using a chi squared analysis. Through student and
nonstudent participants sampling approach no significant differences were observed between group
understandings of new banking crimes and found that they had identical ranking of responses.
Additionally using an approach by Schuman and Scott (1987), half the participants were asked open
questions and the other closed questions, this also highlighted the impact of question form on ranking
of responses and showed no definate ordering of response choices could be made. Key words:
Banking crimes, public understanding, questionnaire, chi squared analysis 1.Introduction The banking
system and ways that people can withdraw and/or spend their money has changed over the years and
continues to do so. People originally made payments with physical money which moved onto credit
cards, debit cards and contactless cards (Lambert, 2011). From 1971 electronic commerce appeared
which brought along digital wallets like Paypal (van Ketel and Nelson, 2005).The banking system,
includes commercial, investment and national central banks, has also been changing. Exposed

The Awakening: 2014 Prompt
In The Awakening by Kate Chopin, Edna Pontellier is a housewife who spend her days chatting with
friends and going to the beach in Grand Isle, Louisiana. She feels empty, and almost like an object,
whose sole purpose is to satisfy the needs of her family. However, after a summer on Grand Isle, she
begins to express her feelings and desires with the help of her friends and the surrounding Creole
culture. Edna eventually undergoes a massive transformation during which she discovers what she is
really passionate about and begins to do what she wants, when she wants, without the limitations of
her husband or children. However during this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, all the time she spends listening to piano playing, is time she is not spending with her
children or husband and neglecting her social duties. They become so distanced around this time that
they are not even sleeping in the same bed and barely even see each other. This demonstrates that all
of Edna s creative ventures have come at a price, her marriage, but she values her self expression so
much that she does not seem to mind.
Edna s sacrifice of her family also illuminates one of her main values, freedom. In the beginning of
the novella, Edna is reserved and demure. However her friendship with Adele Ratignolle encourages
her to follow the creole style of expression and become more open and candid with her actions and
voice. The friendship helps her learn to value herself as a person with real emotions, rather than a
piece of property for her husband. This marks the beginning of her awakening, as she becomes more
open with her feelings, prompting her to further her relationship with Robert. They begin to move past
the level of innocent flirtation the Creoles are accustomed to, against the advice of Adele, leading
Edna to a new sexual freedom as she continuously chooses to spend her time with Robert rather than
her family. However, perhaps one of the most prominent examples of Edna s high value of freedom
comes at the very end

Research Paper On The Great Wall Of China
The Great Wall of China Through Time
Introduction
The evolution of the Great Wall of China wasn t very short like many might think. It spanned from
221 BC 1912. The first dynasty (the Qin) were the people who came up with the idea of building the
wall in the first place. The Ming dynasty occurred many years later, but was the dynasty that modified
the old wall the most, making it the new one we know today. The last dynasty the Qing added many
more defensive advances on the wall than any other. Granted that all of these dynasties made great
individual changes or ideas, together they helped make the world s favorite wall.

The Manchus decided that the wall needed to be expanded even more, as well, that more defensive
stances needed to happen. According to Travlechinaguide.com. Differently, the Qing Dynasty Wall
was erected for its internal security, suppressing the domestic rebellions and uprisings. In addition,
some walls were built in Liaoning and Inner Mongolia for racial isolation, separating Han people with
the Manchu and Mongols, which is a historical retrogression. From 1638 1878 many rulers from the
Qing Dynasty came up with innovative ways of defence such as digging 9ft. Ditches around the base
of the wall, planting so many trees so that it becomes a barricade, and constructing watch towers on
top of the wall. This explains a quote by Travelchinaguide.com, First of all, the 9 feet (2.7 meters)
deep trench was dug, and the earth was removed to pile up a wall beside the trench, which was 3 feet
(1 meter) in width and height. Then, willow trees were planted every 6 feet (1.7 meters) on the wall.
Afterwards, the trees were bounded by strings, forming a barrier. The Willow Palisade was 808 miles
(1,300 kilometers) long. There were 20 gates, 168 terraces, hundreds of water passes along the
palisade. . Since the Qing dynasty was the latest one no other modifications have been made on the

How Does Shakespeare Use Jealousy In Othello
In Othello, Shakespeare uses lying and murder to show how powerful emotions can be. During the
play, characters use extreme actions to cope with their emotions. Iago lies to Othello and plots to have
Cassio murdered; Roderigo listens to anything Iago says in order to get with Desdemona; and Othello
decides to kill Desdemona out of rage once he believes she is cheating on him. It is important to note
Shakespeare utilizes both envy and jealousy which people commonly misinterpret as the same. Envy
is wanting what someone else has, while jealousy is fearing that someone else will take what you
have. Throughout Othello, the power of envy, manipulation, and jealousy can be seen through the
actions of Iago, Othello, and various other characters.
Envy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He has no regard for the other characters well being as his envy is so strong. Roderigo is another
character that experiences envy. Roderigo wants to be with Desdemona, but Desdemona is married to
Othello. Roderigo is willing to do anything that gives him a chance to be with Desdemona. Iago is
able to convince Roderigo to sell all of his assets for money, instigate a fight with Cassio, and attempt
to murder Cassio, because his envy is able to overpower his rational thought. The envy of Iago and
Roderigo is what causes the rest of the play to commence. Iago manipulates others in order to take his
envy out on others, while Roderigo is able to be manipulated easily as envy clouds his judgement.
This manipulation is another important aspect of the play.
Iago uses manipulation throughout the play in an attempt to get revenge on Othello and to progress the
plot. He is able to manipulate several of the characters in the play as he is very persuasive. Iago first
manipulates Roderigo as he is an easy target. He convinces him that he has a chance to be with
Desdemona reasoning that she fell in love with Othello quickly, so she will fall out of love with him
quickly. Iago is able to convince Roderigo to sell his assets and help him get revenge

Howard Zinn has committed his life s work to open the eyes of American citizens, and show them the

Economic recession in the UK
When the UK economy is doing well, its pound sterling is strong. However, having a strong pound
actually discourage visitors from overseas because when they exchange their money in pound they
will be getting less money, so it make visiting UK expensive and it deter inbound visitor from visiting
UK.
Regardless to that when UK is in a recession the sterling is weak which means that overseas visitor
can get more pounds for their money and would find UK much more cheaper which encourage

Margaret Thatcher’s Achievements as Prime Minister in the...
Margaret Thatcher s achievements as Prime Minister in the years 1979 1990 were limited. Assess the
validity of the statement. Margaret Thatcher s political career has been one of the most remarkable of
modern times she served as British Prime Minister for more than eleven years (1979 90), a record
unmatched in the twentieth century. During her term of office she reshaped almost every aspect of
British politics, reviving the economy, reforming outdated institutions, and reinvigorating the nation s
foreign policy. She challenged and did much to overturn the psychology of decline, which had become
rooted in Britain since the Second World War, pursuing national recovery with striking energy and
determination. In the process, Margaret ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Her economic policies were another success for Thatcher s regime. Thatcher s policies were
monumental changes for Britain. Privatisation and deregulation were famous changes implemented by
Thatcher. The policy of Privatisation has been called a crucial ingredient of Thatcherism . After the
1983 election the sale of state utilities accelerated; more than £29 billion was raised from the sale of
nationalised industries, and another £18 billion from the sale of council houses. The process of
privatisation, especially the preparation of nationalised industries for privatisation, was associated
with marked improvements in performance, particularly in terms of labour productivity. Some of the
privatised industries including gas, water, and electricity, were natural monopolies for which
privatisation involved little increase in competition. The privatisation allowed people to become more
involved in the buying of shares in companies. Although this did not work as well as Thatcher would
have hoped as many of the richer part of society bought as many shares at they could. Many people
denounced this policy as an Elitist policy. The privatisation of public companies was combined with
financial deregulation in an attempt to encourage economic growth. Geoffrey Howe Thatcher s

Afterlife In The Odyssey
Afterlife
People are always questioning whether Hell and Heaven are real or not. The thought of an afterlife is
something every human thinks about. In Core 3 we read many books, one being Virgil s The Aeneid,
and another being Homer s The Odyssey. Both books have to do with men attempting to complete a
journey. Both books involve the Trojan War and journeys across roaring seas. During each book, the
men enter the afterlife with a guide to help them through Hell, and each author gives their own
thoughts depicting how it might appear. This year in Core 4 we read Dante s Inferno, a book about
Dante going to the afterlife guided by Virgil, a Roman poet. The authors all have some similarities in
their interpretations of Hell. However, there are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All the stories describe what Hell might be like, just from three different perspectives. There are also
differences when comparing the three. In Dante s first Canto, we learn that large beasts guard the gates
of Hell and, to get up to heaven, you must pass through Hell and Purgatory. The large beasts at the
front gates are similar in both Homer s and Virgil s idea of what the front gate could be like. Dante has
Virgil to guide him, Odysseus did not really have a guide but Aeneas had the Sibyl. Dante, like Aeneas
and Odysseus, performed rituals before he entered Hell. When Dante enters hell he is very scared
knowing that very few people who are alive that ever enter Hell and also come back. In all three
stories the living are not welcomed into Hell. Aeneas had the golden stick, Odysseus had permission,
and Dante was allowed because Virgil acquainted him, who was helped from above. All three
characters, when coming up to the gate of Hell, hear cries of the tortured souls and understand this is a
place for torment. In the Aeneid, to enter Hell, you must cross a river, but not in the Odyssey. The
Odyssey does mention some rivers, but does not get into detail about them. Dante is taken across this
river by Cheron. He runs the ferry and takes the doomed souls across the Acheron. The river is filled
with souls trying to escape, but they cannot; this is similar to the

Francis used his predecessors as anchoring points in his doctrine.
In his 1990 World Day of Peace speech, John Paul II declared the environment to be a moral priority
of the Church, warning that world peace is threatened not only by the arms race, regional conflicts,
and continued injustices among peoples and nations, but also by a lack of due respect for nature.
Benedict XVI was nicknamed the green pope because he spoke on environmental issues so frequently;
he had solar panels installed on the roof of the Vatican and even rolled out a hybrid version of the
Popemobile. (The Pope s Moral Case for Taking On Climate Change The Atlantic)
What I was able to gather from all this information is this is not the first time that the Church has
taken on environmentalism. A former staffer at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops was
quoted saying This didn t begin with Earth Day or Al Gore. It began with Genesis. At the core of his

QUAN 6610 Book Report
The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement by Goldratt and Cox
KEY IDEA
The Goal centers around the protagonist Alex Rogo, who is a manager at a manufacturing and
production plant for UniCo that is performing badly and is given three months to improve or face
closing. His old physics professor, Jonah, is his guide and mentor through the story, using the Socratic
Method, as Alex and his team learn to formulate what later becomes the Theory of Constraints to turn
the plant around and eventually earn him a promotion to division manager.
SUMMARY
The story begins with outlining the problems Alex Rogo is facing. His plant is incredibly late on
shipments because of inefficient processes. It ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fivestep process consists of: 1. IDENTIFY the system s constraint(s). 2. Decide how to EXPLOIT
the system s constraint(s). 3. SUBORDINATE everything else to the above decision. 4.
ELEVATE the system s constraint(s). 5. WARNING!!!! If in the previous steps a constraint has been
broken, go back to step 1, but do not allow INERTIA to cause a system s constraint.
Lastly, Alex applies the Socratic method to his marriage problems with his wife Julie.
This side story makes the book more realistic to its audience, all the while showing real life stresses of
balancing work and personal struggles and how these methods of problem solving can be applied
universally, not just in a business setting.
LESSONS LEARNED (1‐1 ½ PAGES)
The lessons learned in The Goal are not strictly relevant to manufacturing business, they are about life
and any problem you approach. The techniques of questioning taught through the Socratic Method
allow you to draw your own questions and conclusions about problems encountered. Furthermore, the
book outlines techniques on the creation of clear metrics on improvements and productivity in any

The Goal Of The Endangered Species Act
There are very many endangered species all around the world. If we let animals become extinct and
not do anything about it, then a lot of our food sources are going to die out. We need to start doing
stuff about endangered animals. Animals become endangered because either we over hunt them, or we
destroy their habitat.
The definition of an endangered animal is very low species that couldn t adapt(sheehan, 4 5). If
species become too endangered then they could go extinct. This happens over the course of
years(sheehan, 4 5). Around twenty five percent of mammals are endangered(Sheehan, 5). One of the

The Influence of Paul the Apostle
Paul the Apostle is considered to be the most influential of the early members of the Christian church,
along with Simon Peter and James the Just. Saint Paul is said to have been born around AD 5, and
considered to have died about AD67, though the Bible does not record his death specifically. The
epistles written by Paul to the churches were plainly and sharply worded. Paul s writings make up a
good portion of the New Testament and demonstrate his position of prominence as an apostle of the
early Church. Saint Paul was a significant contributor to the spreading of the Gospel through the early
Christian communities, particularly through his Epistles, that were established across the Roman
Empire. Paul s letters make up some of the earliest of Christian documents and, as such, they are a

Marx s Term For Capitalist
Bourgeoisie: Page 10; Marx s term for capitalist, those who own the means of production.
The food production companies have accentually bought the government. If they come up with a plan
to produce more food, no matter how harmful it may be to the consumer, the government will not step
in to protect the citizen of Americans. As the bourgeoisie owns the industry, this fact has been proven
within the video of Food Inc. What is astonishing is that a company was actually able to get a patent
on life. How can a company be allowed to monopolize an entire industry? That is depriving people of
their basic human right of life, to eat healthy food, food that has not been modified by harmful
hormones or genetics. Several of the food production companies give jobs to illegal immigrants and
once their services are no longer needed, then the heads of these companies call immigration to have
them arrested and deported back to their home country. This in turn saves the company money
because they do not have to pay out anything for unemployment wages for laying the employees off
for a period of time. The food industry has really become the bourgeoisie of this century.
Proletariat: Page 10: Marx s term for the exploited class, the mass of workers who do not have the

In this case, this class of workers is the farmers and the people who work in the food production plant.

African American writer who is well known as an extraordinary writer. She was known as one of the

snake, by putting the snake in her laundry basket. In her short story, Sweat Nora Neale Hurston
focuses on many symbols, that play a big role in this short story, some of the symbols that she uses are
the title, the Chinaberry tree, the snake, and the whip.
One of the first symbols that Nora Neale Hurston addresses and focuses on her novel is the title of the
text which is Sweat . The title of this short story has a very important message. The title symbolizes
how hard of a worker Delia Jones is in the short story. In the short story, it discusses the hard work and
physical labor that Delia Jones performs. While Delia is such a hard worker that is the opposite of
Sykes, he lives a very leisurely life. She is a hard worker, religious, neat, and independent. The title
symbolizes the outcome of her hard work. In the short text, it says Delia s habitual meekness seemed

Research Paper On The Divine Comedy
Divine Comedy The Divine Comedy is a lengthy poem composed by a considerable Italian poet that
worked primarily in the late middle ages. Composed by Dante Alighieri, who was a political thinker,
writer, and poet who is remembered mostly for composing The Divine Comedy, which made a lasting
impact on theology, as well as literature. Many consider Dante a genius when it came to literature, a
wise man full of knowledge. He was born in Florence, Italy and lived from 1265 to 1321. Many
believe Dante studied tuscan poetry while in school but it is not known where and when he went to
school. He is remembered as a very influential writer who used Italian language rather than Latin. He
was born into a family that was supposedly involved deeply with the Florentine political scene which
was a large influence on him and his ideals which is evident throughout his works. Dante s mother had
died when Dante was very young. At just 12 years old, Dante had his marriage arranged with a woman
who was a family friend named Gemma Donati. The couple got married sometime around 1285, but
there was just one problem. Dante had proceeded to fall in love with another woman Beatrice
Portinari, who would become a huge significance to his life and especially his work, she was very
influential to him. Dante later went on and composed The New Life (La Vita Nuovo) using Beatrice as
an ideal. After the unexpected death of Beatrice, Dante became quite intrigued in studying philosophy

For this we use the US traffic fatalities panel data for the 48 US states (excluding Alaska and Hawaii)
for 1982 through 1988. We observe our data in 7 time periods (1982,...,1988), so T=7, our data are
strongly balanced and the total number of observation equals 336 (=7*48). We calculate the traffic
fatality rate that equals the traffic deaths in the corresponding state in that year, per 10000 state
residents.
Panel Data
A panel dataset contains observations on multiple entities, such as person, firms, state, or country,
where each entity is observed at two or more points in time. A panel data set on individual wages,
hours, education, and other factors is collected by randomly selecting people from a population at a
given point in time. Panel Data methods are more complicated than cross section data methods. For
example the standard error of panel data estimators needs to be adjusted because each additional time
period of data is not independent of previous periods. (very technical for a basic panel data

Some basic considerations
(Maybe here we should use words like: furthermore, also, in addition or just an introduction sentence.

First, panel data are usually observed at regular time

Gifted Education Essay
Gifted education is very stressful for students in middle school, but if you start in elementary school
with a gifted program it could be less stressful on your child. Gifted programs are good programs but
there are things that could make your child feel pressured and they may want to leave the program. To
get into the programs depending on the district you are in there could be discrimination to be accepted
or recommended to test for it. This discrimination could be based on race, income, gender, or
ethnicity, if you re in a school district that lets you apply without being recommended then you won t
have to worry about this. Studies show that in Broward County they started with teachers
recommended students and then changed their system to where any students could apply to the gifted
programs and there was a major increase in low income, latino, and black students that were accepted.
In most districts there are not full time gifted programs, so there are pull out enrichment programs,
which are groups of kids that get taken with a gifted resource teacher and get taught in the small
group, missing class time. Another option if there a full time gifted program is to skip grades, which
isn t a very good decision because although your student is gifted they still need to know the
information from the grade they skip. Teachers don t have the correct training to know how to teach
and how a gifted student learns, so schools without gifted resource teachers don t have anything

An individual s equitable right to their protection of privacy is fundamental as it upholds respect,

ability to affirm one s necessity of privacy is imperative to the development of who they are, and how
they form an identity that is not dictated by the social conditions that directly or indirectly influence
their thinking, decisions, and behaviors. The abuse of personal privacy causes for a disturbance of

This plan is not only ludicrous but ill advised as well. After some enlightening research, the price per

understandably $10,000, for that reason and more, this solution simply fails miserably to succeed.
Grapevine Faith currently uses Latch and Keeper, Surface Mounted locks, and they sell at $24 a piece

Waite House Reflection
When first prompted with the assignment to volunteer 20 hours of my time somewhere off the
University of Minnesota s campus, I was quite stressed out because of the time commitment.
However, as I was reading through the list of possible locations to volunteer one particular place
grabbed my attention and made me feel as though it would not be as terrible of an experience that I
assumed it would be for me. The name of this place was Waite House and thankfully it is currently the
organization where I am engaging in my service learning. Waite House is located in the Ventura
Village neighborhood within the Phillips community in Minneapolis. Waite House caught my
attention because not only was it a relatively short commute on the public transit system, but the
description mentioned youth fitness and obesity/diabetes prevention. Not only am I educated in
diabetes prevention, but I also have previous experience with fitness and working with youth. So, I
applied to this organization because I felt as though Waite House would be the perfect placement for
me. According to the Waite House website, their purpose/mission states the following: Waite House

To An Athlete Dying Young
It is known for a fact that the clutches of death are inescapable and permanent, however death may
sometimes fall short when it comes to the life of an idea or memory as these can live on forever. In A.
E. Housman s poem To an Athlete Dying Young , it is the memory of a brilliant athlete that will be
lauded for many generations to come. A. E. Housman achieves the somber and reverent memory of
the young athlete, who had met their untimely demise, by the use of strong characterization, poetic
devices, and themes.
Characterization in this poem truly helps the reader understand what the town had lost and how the
townspeople, including the speaker, feel about the young athlete s passing. In relation to the athlete,
the speaker is one who has had some first hand experience watching the athlete perform and even
celebrating the athlete as Housman writes, We chaired you through the market place (l.2). The reader
is also able to see the speaker as a sympathetic and realistic character. The speaker s sympathy is best
seen at the mention of bringing the young athlete to their final resting place. The realistic nature of the
speaker is seen throughout the poem, especially when Housman wrote, smart lad to slip betimes away

Analysis Of The Book The Twilight Series
A young psychic teen hiding from the CIA embarks on a quest to find a hidden treasure that is linked
to an old murder, but corrupt police, the CIA, greedy relatives, a crazy homeless man, and the girl he
falls smitten with hinder his efforts.
STORY COMMENTS
CODE NAME TRACKER: INDIGO is a highly creative and imaginative novel that is targeted for the
young adult audience. Like the TWILIGHT series one can easily envision the success of such a series
of books and a possible film franchise.
The novel has a strong hook with the idea of the protagonist having psychic skills. The script
combines a supernatural tale with drama and dark comedy. The storyline offers intrigue, action,
forbidden love, betrayal, corruption, and the supernatural. The story also offers solid twists and turns.
The main storyline centers on the psychic teen searching for missing treasure. It s a smart story choice,
as everyone loves the idea of finding buried treasure. This gives the novel a strong, actionable goal
with merit, and it keeps the story goal focused.
The subplot of the budding teen romance supports the main storyline and is fluidly integrated.
One of the major strength of this novel is the compelling ensemble cast. Each character feels original
and refreshing. They are complex and rich in personality. There s no doubt that these characters would
attract talent if produced into a film.
The novel clearly identifies Ryan Gordon as the mystifying, insecure hero. Ryan is easy to like and

The Era Of The Gilded Age
From 1865 to 1900, the American industry paved the way for an era like none that has been seen
before. The country built and invented more supplies and materials than anyone had thought possible.
Even though, this time in history seemed progressive on many fronts, it was known as the Gilded Age
. The Gilded Age was a three decade time in America that involved an expanding economy and a
useless government. The thought of going to an American city, getting a job, and getting paid was
ideal to most outsiders. The problem was, once they arrived and found a job, it was not as wonderful

Along with other factors, the ghettos shined a bad light on immigrants because the ugly and unkempt

foreigners and nativism began. Nativism is protecting the interests of native born people against the
interests of immigrants. Most Americans were afraid of the immigrants and the power they had on the
economy, so they started to attack the immigrants, both physically and socially. Many political
cartoons were published supporting anti immigration and violence was geared towards the newcomers
(Appleby 310). There is no doubt the abundant numbers of immigrants created issues amongst the
American people. Immigration was an issue that needed attention. In attempt to hinder the incoming
population, the Chinese Exclusion Act started in 1882. The act prevented all people of Chinese origin
to move to America. It also prevented any Chinese person already living in America to gain
citizenship, if they had not already (310). The government also began to put regulations and
restrictions on who could enter the U.S. In 1907 the Immigration Commission was established. This
department only had to deal with immigration and immigration laws. They prevented unskilled
immigrants and criminals from entering the U.S. Their job was also to deport any immigrants that had
committed a crime (America and Immigration). The government understood the problems

Rosencrantz And Pumbaa Comparison
When contrasting the characters in William Shakespeare s Hamlet to Disney s The Lion King, they are
different. Hamlet is a play about Hamlet trying to get revenge on his uncle for killing his father. The
Lion King is a movie about a lion who runs away from his father s death and comes back to save the
kingdom from his evil uncle. When specifically looking at Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, and Timon

uncaring, while timon and Pumbaa are the opposite. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, and Timon and

A quote that proves Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are untrustworthy is He does confess he feels

constantly repeat things Hamlet has said to the King and Queen like puppets. By doing this they break
the trust they have built and they don t care. Hamlet probably expected that they would keep the
information between them however when they don t it gives them a deceitful appearance. In contrast,
Timon and Pumbaa are very reliable, for instance they put themselves in danger for Simba when they
dress in hula outfits to cause a distraction. They did this because they knew they should do it as good
friends to Simba, even though it puts them in harm s way. They want was is best for Simba and that is
to help get rid of Scar. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are giving information to the King and Queen
that they know Hamlet wouldn t want them to say, betraying their friendship, while Timon and

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are very untrustworthy while Timon and Pumbaa are very reliable. One

Isaac Newton
Isaac Newton. One of the major flaws with the Copernican system manifested with the retainment of
perfect circular orbits, as theorized by Ptolemy, and even with the removal of the equant, Copernicus
still had to use some epicycles to explain retrograde. This still left many issues, because this very
unnatural movement didn t make it that much less clunky than Ptolemy s system. Johannes Kepler,
with his first law of planetary motion, provided a solution for this issue. He theorized that planets
actually move in an elliptic orbit, with the sun not necessarily at the very center of the ellipse. When
taken in account with Copernicus idea of the Earth s rotation, this got rid of the need for epicycles, and
provided a much smoother system. In addition, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Firstly, the heliocentric system driven by Copernicus disproved the ideas of two, powerful, and at the
time, most valid sources, the Ancient world and the Catholic Church. This opened up questioning and
curiosity of many other aspects of humanity in the centuries that followed, and in parallel to this the
rejection of the theological idea that man has dominance in the universe (SECOND GALE SOURCE).
This curiosity led to so many great discoveries across the course of the entire revolution, from
chemistry, to calculus, and even biology. Even though heliocentrism occurred as an astronomical
endeavor, it by itself influenced the development so many ideas not just used in astronomy. Newton s
laws of physics would never have been possible if not for the heliocentric system to back it up, and in
fact, nearly all of Kepler s, Newton s, and Galileo s work described above built on Copernicus ideas. It
can also be said that the development of heliocentrism gave rise to modern scientific method. The
mathematical and rigorous approaches to proof all used by Newton, Galileo, and Copernicus set a bar
of quality differed greatly from the very assumptive and proofless explanations for many phenomena,
many set by the Church or the Bible. The idea of developing an idea slowly, over the course of many

Dear Mr.Hawkins , my former, history teacher, I know you are set in your idea that the destruction of
the Berlin Wall was the turning point of WWll, I strongly disagree. Even though there were
significant, life changing, humanitarian efforts made by the U.S, the Berlin Airlift was one of the
greatest of these efforts. This was one of the strongest humanitarian efforts made because America
supplied food for the starving people of West Berlin, granted them the gift of hope when there was
nothing left to hope for, and assisted every step of the way until the terrible separation between East
Berlin and West Berlin. When the Soviets took their share of Germany with France, Britain, and the
U.S., the Soviets made the choice to separate Germany into eastern and western divisions. This was
done so that they could extend communism into a war torn Europe. After World War Two, there
wouldn t have been any better timing. The war gave them an open door to start communism all over
again because no one would ve been able to stop whatever came in their path.
The events leading to the Airlift began with Russia s iron fist and persistence to conquer everything.
The Russians prayed that the poverty and a war torn Western Europe would give them the chance to

Throughout the their lifespans many authors receive criticism on every work of theirs, whether it be
good or bad. Criticism can be received from all sorts of people. Every literary work has the potential
to be broken down into multiple schools of thought, but when it is done professionally by a literary
critic the criticism is generally specialized into a certain school of philosophy. One particular work by
the author/playwright Lillian Hellman is The Little Foxes .
The Little Foxes can be characterized by the biographical school of criticism. The biographical school
of criticism is one where the criticism pertains to the fact that the author s work reflects his/her life

never taken the medication and he was definitely not doping. So how did it end up in his system? In a
panicked call to his father, Jack tried to recount every second of his life leading up to the test. But
there were some strange things about Jack s case. The amount found in Jack s system was 0.8 of a
nanogram per mL. Thats less than one billionth of a gram, thats like taking a teaspoon and pouring it
into the ocean. The small amount would have almost no affect, so why wasn t there more of it? And
there were no signs of a masked substance, which they always leave. Strange wouldn t you say? Jack
took this to court, to try and fight the guilt shoved upon him. He also had a important story to share
with them too. The morning of stage 4 of Abitibi, Jack was late. Its a simple mistake that cost him a
lot. He didn t have time to fill up his bottles at the hotel, or else he would miss the bus driving riders to
the start of the stage in the town of Malartic. Race organizers had none, so Jack felt lucky when a
custodial worker unlocked the nearby community centre especially for him to fill his bottles. Now
Malartic doesn t have the same filtering water systems as the rest of Canada so often pharmaceuticals
are found in the water. The most common substance found? Hydrochlorothiazide. It was in the water.
Jack was late, which lead him drank unsafe water and it had jeopardized

The Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy
Two different psychotherapies approaches were implemented in the Gloria videos each video
highlighted the respective approach of each psychotherapist. Albert Ellis who established the Rational
Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) and Fritz Perls who developed the Gestalt approach. Each
therapy section in the video was about 30 minutes where each psychotherapist got the opportunity to
explain his theory, interview Gloria and then discuses and explain the his founding. The main different
between these two different approaches can be explained by the effect of the interaction between the
therapist and Gloria. The Gestalt approach focus on self awareness and the present rather than the
Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), which focus on the cognitive, emotional and
behavioral conflicts.
When it comes to the theoretical view of human nature presented in the Gestalt approach the problem
starts when someone tries to be who he or she are not. According to clinical psychology book writing
by Trull, T. J., Prinstein, M. J. (2013). Fritz Perls believes people are able to confront their problems if
they become fully aware of what is happening within oneself and outside of oneself. When an
individual does not show whom or how they really feeling in the outside it can make it difficult for a
change. It is important for the patients to be aware of what and who they are instead of trying to
become what they are not. In the Gloria set of videos by Rogers, C. R., Perls, F. S., Ellis,

Difference Between Samsung And Apple Watch
Apple Watch Vs Samsung Gear S2 The ultimate comparison
Wearable technology has grown in impetus with the introduction of smart watches by Apple and
Samsung. They promise great new features and high end performance which are met with stylish
designs and comfortable wearing. Samsung, the big name in the industry is battling out for victory
against the smart elegance of Apple which only releases the most comprehensive products. The big
debate rose because of their similar launch dates and people have grown great interest on the products.
So, let us compare the two smart watches released by these techno giants and elicit a conclusion.
Design
As one can expect, the two smart watches are aesthetically attractive and there is no remark for either
of them. However, the big difference is that Gear S2 has a round casing which gives it a conventional
look, whereas the Apple watch has a rectangular outlook. Samsung has three versions (general, 3G
and Classic) of the S2 and all of them are made of stainless steel. For the regular version of the watch
plastic bands are available and for the classic version leather bands are provided. Black, silver and
dark gray colours are released in the market and black colour is limited only to the ... Show more

The presence of pedometer, sedentary reminder and heart rate monitor ensures that the user s overall
health is taken care of without any drawbacks. The Gear S2 also has the same features in possession.
The big drawback for Apple is that it does not come with an option to control the Smartphone
remotely with which the wearable is associated to. Samsung impresses in this section as it comes with
a sublime rotating bezel allowing users to gain access to settings and features with ease. Interestingly,
the rotating bezel accepts both horizontal and vertical scrolling which is not seen in the Apple

Gothic Literature Assignment
Gothic Literature Writing Assignment Gothic Literature can be defined as writing that includes a
horrifying atmosphere, petrifying characters, and an unimaginable conflict. Many of Edgar Allan Poe
s stories can meet this criteria, but one can fit it the best. This would be The Black Cat. This is
primarily because of the creepy underground environment, the evil antagonist within the protagonist,
and the conflict of the story. First, the setting of the character can very much be shown as a part of
gothic literature requirements. In the beginning, the story explains how after the narrator had done a
reprehensible act by harming and later killing the innocent cat he loved so dearly, his house was
caught in flames, and he lost all of his wealth. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The character was awaken to poverty. His entire life was sucked down the drain and he then lived in
an underground shelter , later quoted, the cellar of the old building which our poverty compelled us to
inhabit (Cat 23). The building adds a more mysterious sensation for the reader to consume. Although
stories like The Murder of Rue Morgue can have a creepier environment, the story The Black Cat, can
fit the criteria for the setting requirements in gothic literature. This is because the environment is
known for being more eerie than the others. For example, The Masque of the Red Death is set in an
isolated alley and gives an off feeling, but The Black Cat is a more modern way of a creepier setting.
The abandoned building can affect more modern stories, because they are the places where murders or
other gruesome events typically occur. Next, in most gothic literature novels, the main character,
whether that be the protagonist or antagonist, are usually thought as sinister or menacing. These few
stipulations can undoubtedly be classified in the story The Black Cat, because the character undergoes
many evil things within himself. In the beginning, the character is telling the reader that he is not in
face crazy, and

Are you currently living in a house and looking at apartments for a move in the near future? Are you
worried about how to make the transition with a minimum amount of anxiety? Here are some hints to
help make the change as stress free as possible:
Decide if the move will be permanent or temporary: If there s a possibility that you ll move back into
a house within a year or two, decide if you want to put unneeded items in a storage unit or if you want
to sell them off. You won t need a snow blower, lawn mower, or weed trimmer at your new apartment,
You may be able to make some extra pocket money if you sell them now, but make sure you do
research how much it will cost to replace everything after you ve moved back to a house with its own

You can get rid of the assorted pieces that you thought you needed to fill an empty space. Don t wait
until the week before your move to begin sorting your belongings. Instead, start as soon as you ve
decided to move. Take an inventory of everything, then divide it all into lists of things to be thrown
out, sold, donated, or taking to your new apartment. If you haven t used an item in a year, you
probably won t use it next year. Disposing of it will give you a feeling of relief as you pare down your
possessions to only what you truly want and need.
Help your children deal with the stress: If you approach the move as a new family adventure, it will
help everyone to get excited about the transition. Make sure your children know about the kid friendly
features of your new community. Younger children will enjoy a tour of the on site playground, the
swimming pool, while teens may be interested in the exercise room, or using the clubhouse for future
parties.
Reduce anxiety about your decision: If you re feeling a bit apprehensive about making the switch from
a house to an apartment, make a list of all the benefits you ll enjoy at the new place. Write down all
the burdensome chores that will be a thing of the past as you enjoy apartment living. You won t have

Memo of Dollar General
Relevant Economic Trends With the exception of supercenters such as Costco and BJ s, the fastest
growing portion of the overall retail industry in the United States during the past decade has been in
the dollar store segment. From 2000 2005 dollar stores had a compound annual growth rate (CAGR)
of 10.2% which was nearly double the 5.6% CAGR in the retail industry as a whole. Sales from these
discount stores were $24.7 billion in 2000 and were expected to more than double to $51.1 billion in
2009 (Exhibit 8). Two main drivers fueled this growth trend. The first was a cultural shift in
consumers towards a bargain based mentality. This was spurred by an increased presence of retailers
with a low cost strategy including Wal Mart, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They emphasize the use of even dollar prices on most items to conveniently make it easy for
customers to track how much they are spending before they get to the checkout line. This coupled
with their focused assortment of quality goods allows easy in and out shopping and saves the customer
time. DG competes against big box retailers such as Wal Mart through price and convenience rather
than price and selection. The average DG store is 6,900 square feet with about 4,900 stock keeping
units (SKUs) serving customers who live within five miles of the store. The average Wal Mart on the
other hand is over 100,000 square feet containing more than 75,000 SKUs and serves many customers
living more than five miles away. Strategically limiting the number of brands and sizes as well as
purchasing fast turning SKUs gives DG the leverage to negotiate low purchase prices when bargaining
with suppliers based on the higher volume of individual SKUs being purchased. This allows them to
offer competitive prices while achieving price parity with big box retailers selling the same items and
on occasion even beating these competitor s prices. Focusing on both price and convenience also
allows DG to compete and differentiate themselves from other small convenience, discount, and
drugstore retailers who typically focus on either price or convenience but

When film first started gaining popularity, it want s as obvious that be connecting two different

This is order to show how editing changes viewer s interpretations of images and how film uses
psychology. Kulsehov experimented with this and achieved the Kulsehov theory. This technique is
known as juxtaposition, one the most effective tools on cinema just by juxtaposing a variety of
concepts one can get a funny joke across, or complete lie across the audience.
Kuleshov coined the term collective geography to describe cinema ability to link entirely unrelated
material into coherent sequences. This discovery provided filmmakers with arms of varies techniques
to manipulate the audience but in this they also recognized the audience has an active in creating
meaning. Kuleshov was not just concerned with editing; he believed that the key to effective
filmmaking was in organization.
In addition to his theoretical work, Kulsehov was also a director of many feature films and he was a
leader in Soviet montage theory, which was an approach to understanding and creating cinema that
relies heavily upon editing. Some consider Kulsehov the father of Soviet Cinema, having been the first

Persuasive Essay On Seatbelt Safety
There is no question that people need to wear a seatbelt, and that seat belts help keep you protected.
Seat belts help keep you safe in many different situations. For example: car accidents, unforeseen
stops, and just to restrict your movement in the car.
Seat belts do help keep you guarded in an accident. You have a higher probability of dying if you are
not wearing a seat belt. Did you know that seat belts save about 5,000 lives a year? That to me is just
crazy. How many deaths do you think it will take for people to finally grasp the idea that they should
wear their seat belt?
Another way that seat belts help keep you safe is when you have to come to an unforeseen stop.

Addiction is a dependence on a substance where the individual who is affected feels defenseless and
unable to stop the obsession to use a substance or prevent a particular behavior. Millions of Americans
have addictions to drugs, alcohol, nicotine, and even to behaviors such as obsessive gambling.
Pharmacotherapy is a treatment process in which a counselor can use a particular drug to counter act
an addictive drug or behavior. Not all counselors agree with this type of treatment. However in order
to provide a client with an ethical treatment and unbiased opinions they should be made aware of all
scientific evidence of different treatment options. Thus, attention to addiction pharmacotherapy is an

One of the old school medicines used to defer the drinking of alcohol is Disulfiram (Antabuse).
Disulfiram is a behavioral intervention in pill form taken on a daily basis that an individual takes to
prevent the clearance of alcohol as it is broken down in an individual s body after they drink.
Disulfiram will prevent an individual from drinking because if they drink while taking the drug they
will have such a bad reaction they will want to stop the negative behavior of drinking. Because of the
alcohol element built up in their blood as it goes through their body the reactions an individual will
experience are headache, nausea, vomiting, high, or low blood pressure, and palpitations(Arias
Kranzler, n.d). The individual can be quite sick for an extended period of time. In as much disulfiram
will stay in an individuals system for One to two weeks. Therefore, if an individual decides they want
to stop taking disulfiram the individual still would have to wait a period of time before drinking
alcohol or the reactions will still occur. Disulfiram is a behavioral intervention to prevent the drinking
from continuing. There is no cure for alcoholism. However, disulfiram can affect the outcome of
alcoholism treatment. The side effects for using disulfiram are the first couple of weeks the individual
may feel tired and over a period of time an individual may develop a metallic taste in their mouth.
However, the taste will go away

  • 2. Fashion s Influence On Fashion When one thinks of a genre they think of a book or a type of music. Genre can be thought of as a category of art. Fashion is a form of art, artists everyday are creating works that they feel people will wear and like. Fashion is a huge industry with thousands of designers that makes billions of dollars per year. Whether people realize it or not, every single person has a sense of style and has their own taste in clothing. With fashion there are different genres ranging from chic to bohemian to sporty. Along with different genres of fashion, there are different genres of brands. With these two genres combined, an examination of the correlation of the brands with the style of fashion will be examined. The first genre of fashion we are going to examine is a style called chic . Chic is a French word that means classy. When the word chic crosses my mind, I picture a girl standing in the streets of New York City dressed up from head to toe looking her finest. Most chic clothes cover the body of the person wearing them and makes them look a bit classier than others. BB Dakota is a brand that is considered chic, it is on the lower of the scale of prices of clothes. Most of their clothes have been seen in top boutiques and in department stores. Celebrities such as Taylor Swift and others have been seen wearing this brand. It was first founded 30 years ago in Southern California by a French designer. She limits the buyers of her clothing because she wants them to be unique and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This has created a great leap in banking crime. However there s a scare knowledge of the public s understanding of this. Data was collected through a questionnaire and analysed using a chi squared analysis. Through student and nonstudent participants sampling approach no significant differences were observed between group understandings of new banking crimes and found that they had identical ranking of responses. Additionally using an approach by Schuman and Scott (1987), half the participants were asked open questions and the other closed questions, this also highlighted the impact of question form on ranking of responses and showed no definate ordering of response choices could be made. Key words: Banking crimes, public understanding, questionnaire, chi squared analysis 1.Introduction The banking system and ways that people can withdraw and/or spend their money has changed over the years and continues to do so. Grace Millan Mrs. Schroeder AP Literature and Composition January 3 2017 The Awakening: 2014 Prompt In The Awakening by Kate Chopin, Edna Pontellier is a housewife who spend her days chatting with friends and going to the beach in Grand Isle, Louisiana. She feels empty, and almost like an object, whose sole purpose is to satisfy the needs of her family. However, after a summer on Grand Isle, she begins to express her feelings and desires with the help of her friends and the surrounding Creole culture. Edna eventually undergoes a massive transformation during which she discovers what she is really passionate about and begins to do what she wants, when she wants, without the limitations of her husband or children. However during this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, all the time she spends listening to piano playing, is time she is not spending with her children or husband and neglecting her social duties. They become so distanced around this time that they are not even sleeping in the same bed and barely even see each other. This demonstrates that all of Edna s creative ventures have come at a price, her marriage, but she values her self expression so much that she does not seem to mind. Edna s sacrifice of her family also illuminates one of her main values, freedom. In the beginning of the novella, Edna is reserved and demure. However her friendship with Adele Ratignolle encourages her to follow the creole style of expression and become more open and candid with her actions and voice. The friendship helps her learn to value herself as a person with real emotions, rather than a piece of property for her husband. This marks the beginning of her awakening, as she becomes more open with her feelings, prompting her to further her relationship with Robert. They begin to move past the level of innocent flirtation the Creoles are accustomed to, against the advice of Adele, leading Edna to a new sexual freedom as she continuously chooses to spend her time with Robert rather than her family. However, perhaps one of the most prominent examples of Edna s high value of freedom comes at the very end ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Research Paper On The Great Wall Of China The Great Wall of China Through Time Introduction The evolution of the Great Wall of China wasn t very short like many might think. It spanned from 221 BC 1912. The first dynasty (the Qin) were the people who came up with the idea of building the wall in the first place. The Ming dynasty occurred many years later, but was the dynasty that modified the old wall the most, making it the new one we know today. The last dynasty the Qing added many more defensive advances on the wall than any other. Granted that all of these dynasties made great individual changes or ideas, together they helped make the world s favorite wall. The Manchus decided that the wall needed to be expanded even more, as well, that more defensive stances needed to happen. According to Travlechinaguide.com. Differently, the Qing Dynasty Wall was erected for its internal security, suppressing the domestic rebellions and uprisings. In addition, some walls were built in Liaoning and Inner Mongolia for racial isolation, separating Han people with the Manchu and Mongols, which is a historical retrogression. From 1638 1878 many rulers from the Qing Dynasty came up with innovative ways of defence such as digging 9ft. Ditches around the base of the wall, planting so many trees so that it becomes a barricade, and constructing watch towers on top of the wall. This explains a quote by Travelchinaguide.com, First of all, the 9 feet (2.7 meters) deep trench was dug, and the earth was removed to pile up a wall beside the trench, which was 3 feet (1 meter) in width and height. Then, willow trees were planted every 6 feet (1.7 meters) on the wall. Afterwards, the trees were bounded by strings, forming a barrier. The Willow Palisade was 808 miles (1,300 kilometers) long. There were 20 gates, 168 terraces, hundreds of water passes along the palisade. . • 6. How Does Shakespeare Use Jealousy In Othello In Othello, Shakespeare uses lying and murder to show how powerful emotions can be. During the play, characters use extreme actions to cope with their emotions. Iago lies to Othello and plots to have Cassio murdered; Roderigo listens to anything Iago says in order to get with Desdemona; and Othello decides to kill Desdemona out of rage once he believes she is cheating on him. It is important to note Shakespeare utilizes both envy and jealousy which people commonly misinterpret as the same. Envy is wanting what someone else has, while jealousy is fearing that someone else will take what you have. Throughout Othello, the power of envy, manipulation, and jealousy can be seen through the actions of Iago, Othello, and various other characters. Envy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Iago is able to convince Roderigo to sell all of his assets for money, instigate a fight with Cassio, and attempt to murder Cassio, because his envy is able to overpower his rational thought. The envy of Iago and Roderigo is what causes the rest of the play to commence. Iago manipulates others in order to take his envy out on others, while Roderigo is able to be manipulated easily as envy clouds his judgement. This manipulation is another important aspect of the play. Iago uses manipulation throughout the play in an attempt to get revenge on Othello and to progress the plot. He is able to manipulate several of the characters in the play as he is very persuasive. Iago first manipulates Roderigo as he is an easy target. Margaret Thatcher s political career has been one of the most remarkable of modern times she served as British Prime Minister for more than eleven years (1979 90), a record unmatched in the twentieth century. During her term of office she reshaped almost every aspect of British politics, reviving the economy, reforming outdated institutions, and reinvigorating the nation s foreign policy. Privatisation and deregulation were famous changes implemented by Thatcher. The policy of Privatisation has been called a crucial ingredient of Thatcherism . After the 1983 election the sale of state utilities accelerated; more than £29 billion was raised from the sale of nationalised industries, and another £18 billion from the sale of council houses. The process of privatisation, especially the preparation of nationalised industries for privatisation, was associated with marked improvements in performance, particularly in terms of labour productivity. Some of the privatised industries including gas, water, and electricity, were natural monopolies for which privatisation involved little increase in competition. The privatisation allowed people to become more involved in the buying of shares in companies. Although this did not work as well as Thatcher would have hoped as many of the richer part of society bought as many shares at they could. Many people denounced this policy as an Elitist policy. The privatisation of public companies was combined with financial deregulation in an attempt to encourage economic growth. Geoffrey Howe Thatcher s Chancellor of the ... • 10. Afterlife In The Odyssey Afterlife People are always questioning whether Hell and Heaven are real or not. The thought of an afterlife is something every human thinks about. In Core 3 we read many books, one being Virgil s The Aeneid, and another being Homer s The Odyssey. Both books have to do with men attempting to complete a journey. Both books involve the Trojan War and journeys across roaring seas. During each book, the men enter the afterlife with a guide to help them through Hell, and each author gives their own thoughts depicting how it might appear. This year in Core 4 we read Dante s Inferno, a book about Dante going to the afterlife guided by Virgil, a Roman poet. The authors all have some similarities in their interpretations of Hell. However, there are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... All the stories describe what Hell might be like, just from three different perspectives. There are also differences when comparing the three. In Dante s first Canto, we learn that large beasts guard the gates of Hell and, to get up to heaven, you must pass through Hell and Purgatory. The large beasts at the front gates are similar in both Homer s and Virgil s idea of what the front gate could be like. Dante has Virgil to guide him, Odysseus did not really have a guide but Aeneas had the Sibyl. Dante, like Aeneas and Odysseus, performed rituals before he entered Hell. When Dante enters hell he is very scared knowing that very few people who are alive that ever enter Hell and also come back. In all three stories the living are not welcomed into Hell. Aeneas had the golden stick, Odysseus had permission, and Dante was allowed because Virgil acquainted him, who was helped from above. All three characters, when coming up to the gate of Hell, hear cries of the tortured souls and understand this is a place for torment. In the Aeneid, to enter Hell, you must cross a river, but not in the Odyssey. The Odyssey does mention some rivers, but does not get into detail about them. Dante is taken across this river by Cheron. He runs the ferry and takes the doomed souls across the Acheron. So, we did and we found out in one of our couple killers, both partners had some types of rough/mental lifestyle. In our other couple one of the partners had a rough childhood and the other was perfectly fine had no hiccups in their childhood or family problems. Saint Paul is said to have been born around AD 5, and considered to have died about AD67, though the Bible does not record his death specifically. The epistles written by Paul to the churches were plainly and sharply worded. Paul s writings make up a good portion of the New Testament and demonstrate his position of prominence as an apostle of the early Church. Saint Paul was a significant contributor to the spreading of the Gospel through the early Christian communities, particularly through his Epistles, that were established across the Roman Empire. To An Athlete Dying Young It is known for a fact that the clutches of death are inescapable and permanent, however death may sometimes fall short when it comes to the life of an idea or memory as these can live on forever. In A. E. Housman s poem To an Athlete Dying Young , it is the memory of a brilliant athlete that will be lauded for many generations to come. A. E. Housman achieves the somber and reverent memory of the young athlete, who had met their untimely demise, by the use of strong characterization, poetic devices, and themes. Characterization in this poem truly helps the reader understand what the town had lost and how the townspeople, including the speaker, feel about the young athlete s passing. In relation to the athlete, the speaker is one who has had some first hand experience watching the athlete perform and even celebrating the athlete as Housman writes, We chaired you through the market place (l.2). The reader is also able to see the speaker as a sympathetic and realistic character. The speaker s sympathy is best seen at the mention of bringing the young athlete to their final resting place. By doing this they break the trust they have built and they don t care. Hamlet probably expected that they would keep the information between them however when they don t it gives them a deceitful appearance. In contrast, Timon and Pumbaa are very reliable, for instance they put themselves in danger for Simba when they dress in hula outfits to cause a distraction. They did this because they knew they should do it as good friends to Simba, even though it puts them in harm s way. They want was is best for Simba and that is to help get rid of Scar. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are giving information to the King and Queen that they know Hamlet wouldn t want them to say, betraying their friendship, while Timon and Pumbaa are there for Simbaa helping their friend out with whatever he may need. One of the major flaws with the Copernican system manifested with the retainment of perfect circular orbits, as theorized by Ptolemy, and even with the removal of the equant, Copernicus still had to use some epicycles to explain retrograde. This still left many issues, because this very unnatural movement didn t make it that much less clunky than Ptolemy s system. Johannes Kepler, with his first law of planetary motion, provided a solution for this issue. He theorized that planets actually move in an elliptic orbit, with the sun not necessarily at the very center of the ellipse. When taken in account with Copernicus idea of the Earth s rotation, this got rid of the need for epicycles, and provided a much smoother system. In addition, ... Firstly, the heliocentric system driven by Copernicus disproved the ideas of two, powerful, and at the time, most valid sources, the Ancient world and the Catholic Church. This curiosity led to so many great discoveries across the course of the entire revolution, from chemistry, to calculus, and even biology. Even though heliocentrism occurred as an astronomical endeavor, it by itself influenced the development so many ideas not just used in astronomy. Newton s laws of physics would never have been possible if not for the heliocentric system to back it up, and in fact, nearly all of Kepler s, Newton s, and Galileo s work described above built on Copernicus ideas. It can also be said that the development of heliocentrism gave rise to modern scientific method. The mathematical and rigorous approaches to proof all used by Newton, Galileo, and Copernicus set a bar of quality differed greatly from the very assumptive and proofless explanations for many phenomena, many set by the Church or the Bible. Airplane Of Hope Speech Airplane of Hope Dear Mr.Hawkins , my former, history teacher, I know you are set in your idea that the destruction of the Berlin Wall was the turning point of WWll, I strongly disagree. Even though there were significant, life changing, humanitarian efforts made by the U.S, the Berlin Airlift was one of the greatest of these efforts. This was one of the strongest humanitarian efforts made because America supplied food for the starving people of West Berlin, granted them the gift of hope when there was nothing left to hope for, and assisted every step of the way until the terrible separation between East Berlin and West Berlin. When the Soviets took their share of Germany with France, Britain, and the U.S., the Soviets made the choice to separate Germany into eastern and western divisions. This was done so that they could extend communism into a war torn Europe. After World War Two, there wouldn t have been any better timing. The war gave them an open door to start communism all over again because no one would ve been able to stop whatever came in their path. The events leading to the Airlift began with Russia s iron fist and persistence to conquer everything. The Russians prayed that the poverty and a war torn Western Europe would give them the chance to spread communism into the western half of Europe (Griffin). First, the setting of the character can very much be shown as a part of gothic literature requirements. This is because the environment is known for being more eerie than the others. For example, The Masque of the Red Death is set in an isolated alley and gives an off feeling, but The Black Cat is a more modern way of a creepier setting.
