Topic: Feelings
Aims
Students will be able to:
• Vocabulary: feelings and body parts.
• Structure: If + simple present (0 conditional).
• Integrated skills: listening, speaking and reading ( lyrics)
Students’ Age: Primary (6-10 years)
Time class: 40 minutes approximately.
Materials:
1) Song and lyrics: “If you’re Happy”

2) Masks: feeling´s expressions.
3) Colourful clothes and wigs.
4) Game: “Running to your feelings”
Introduction
In this lesson, students will be asked about the way they feel. After that, they will listen to a song
called “if you´re happy”, they will also practise and the If+ present simple as well as sing the song
and dance.
Finally, students will be provided with masks showing different feelings and will play a game based
on the song and related to the topics mentioned before.

Procedures
1) Introduce the topic (5-10 minutes): introduce the topic of feelings and body parts. Review
the feelings that are shown in the song (happiness, anger, fear, sleepy). Ask learners how
do you feel today?
2) Listening to the song and introduction of vocabulary (5- 10 minutes): now learners are
going to watch and listen to the song about different ways of feelings. Play the song.
3) Singing the song (10 minutes): now teachers will deliver to students masks that reflecting
different moods. Then, they have to sing and dance the song.
4) Focus on vocabulary (10 minutes): after singing, learners have to get ready to play a game
which consists of organising themselves in the middle of a triangle and the teachers (3)
will be the points of it, and will represent a particular feeling. Each professor will sing a
stance of the song (corresponding to a feeling) and students have to realize what feeling
the teacher is referring to, and those who have a mask related to that specific feeling
should run to the teacher who represents that emotion.

Activities
• Childrels will have to match numbers with the basket with potatoes.
• Children will watch the video and listen to the song.
• Repeat the song together, helping to count with the fingers.
• Complete a crossword with numbers

Belen Escudero, César Rasilla, Camila Viñati MINICLASS Subject: English Song: If you’re Happy Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4WNrvVjiTw Topic: Feelings Aims Students will be able to: • Vocabulary: feelings and body parts. • Structure: If + simple present (0 conditional). • Integrated skills: listening, speaking and reading ( lyrics) Students’ Age: Primary (6-10 years) Time class: 40 minutes approximately. Materials: 1) Song and lyrics: “If you’re Happy” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4WNrvVjiTw 2) Masks: feeling´s expressions. 3) Colourful clothes and wigs. 4) Game: “Running to your feelings” Introduction In this lesson, students will be asked about the way they feel. After that, they will listen to a song called “if you´re happy”, they will also practise and the If+ present simple as well as sing the song and dance. Finally, students will be provided with masks showing different feelings and will play a game based on the song and related to the topics mentioned before.
  • 2. Belen Escudero, César Rasilla, Camila Viñati Procedures 1) Introduce the topic (5-10 minutes): introduce the topic of feelings and body parts. Review the feelings that are shown in the song (happiness, anger, fear, sleepy). Ask learners how do you feel today? 2) Listening to the song and introduction of vocabulary (5- 10 minutes): now learners are going to watch and listen to the song about different ways of feelings. Play the song. 3) Singing the song (10 minutes): now teachers will deliver to students masks that reflecting different moods. Then, they have to sing and dance the song. 4) Focus on vocabulary (10 minutes): after singing, learners have to get ready to play a game which consists of organising themselves in the middle of a triangle and the teachers (3) will be the points of it, and will represent a particular feeling. Each professor will sing a stance of the song (corresponding to a feeling) and students have to realize what feeling the teacher is referring to, and those who have a mask related to that specific feeling should run to the teacher who represents that emotion.
