As Presented By K-Tec Earthmovers at MinExpo 2016:
Scrapers are a valuable, yet underrated asset in mines and quarries. A scraper can pick-up, transport, and eject material with a single operator and power-unit. Find out how in some applications, the elimination of both an excavator and a dozer from a jobsite is possible, while obtaining a higher production output with a single scraper unit! This presentation will reveal jobsite scenarios to portray the labor, maintenance, and fuel efficiency savings, and corresponding cycle-times of using earthmoving scrapers for a successful mining application and wise return on investment.
Scrapers have been proven to work effectively in gravel quarries, coal & gypsum mines, while also being key for removing overburden and maintaining haul roads.
This presentation will also investigate new industry trend and technologies where, mining companies have been using Articulated Dump Trucks as the power-units to pull scrapers. The removal of the dump box and attachment of the scraper to the truck chassis is a helpful way to get more versatility out of an existing fleet of mining equipment.
Learn how to incorporate your own massive advantage in your mining operation by incorporating scrapers into your fleet.

Optimization of productivity with surface miner using conveyor loading and tr...eSAT Journals
Abstract This paper aims at optimizing the productivity at the surface miner’s face with conveyor loading and dump-truck dispatch system to minimize the down times of surface miner as well as trucks. The surface miner was working in opencut method in a limestone mine located in the Southern part of India. Time study was carried out during three working shifts (each of eight-hour duration) for productivity analysis. A model has been developed and simulated in MATLAB for the productivity of surface miner considering the impact of two major parameters – number of trucks and available face length. The number of trucks for optimum production was found to be five. However, the 5% and 95% confidence interval for the number of trucks was 2.3 and 7.4 respectively for the case study face. It was also observed that the face of 330 m length was sufficient for the surface miner to work efficiently. Index Terms: Opencast mine, Surface miner, Mining machinery, Truck dispatch system, Productivity analysis
Shovel and dumper combination is a type of heavy equipment used in open cast mining operations. It is composed of two separate machines, a front-end loader (shovel) and a backhoe (dumper). The shovel is used to scoop ore, rock, or other materials out of the mine, while the dumper carries the load to a designated area for further processing. This combination of machines allows for faster and more efficient mining operations, as the shovel can quickly scoop up large quantities of material, while the dumper can move the load quickly and safely. The shovel and dumper combination is an indispensable asset for any open cast mine, allowing for fast, efficient, and safe extraction of materials.
Power shovel is a bucket equipped constuction equipment used for excavating and transporting all classes of earth (except solicd rocks without prior loosening) to nearby trucks or other hauling equipments.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

In today’s fast-changing business environment, it’s extremely important to be able to respond to client needs in the most effective and timely manner. If your customers wish to see your business online and have instant access to your products or services.
Online Grocery Store is an e-commerce website, which retails various grocery products. This project allows viewing various products available enables registered users to purchase desired products instantly using Paytm, UPI payment processor (Instant Pay) and also can place order by using Cash on Delivery (Pay Later) option. This project provides an easy access to Administrators and Managers to view orders placed using Pay Later and Instant Pay options.
In order to develop an e-commerce website, a number of Technologies must be studied and understood. These include multi-tiered architecture, server and client-side scripting techniques, implementation technologies, programming language (such as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and MySQL relational databases. This is a project with the objective to develop a basic website where a consumer is provided with a shopping cart website and also to know about the technologies used to develop such a website.
This document will discuss each of the underlying technologies to create and implement an e- commerce website.
Using recycled concrete aggregates (RCA) for pavements is crucial to achieving sustainability. Implementing RCA for new pavement can minimize carbon footprint, conserve natural resources, reduce harmful emissions, and lower life cycle costs. Compared to natural aggregate (NA), RCA pavement has fewer comprehensive studies and sustainability assessments.

9. Quarry Jobsite Study
• Texas Crushed Stone Co (TCS) of Georgetown, TX
• Serve the aggregate needs of Texas and Louisiana for road base, under slab fill, &
concrete ingredients.
• The quarry spans approximately 7,500 acres and is considered the state’s largest.
• A world leader in the aggregate industry, identified the need to introduce
improved equipment to efficiently transport quarried limestone.
10. Quarry Jobsite Study
• TCS Determined that two 43 yd3 scrapers pulled by ADT’s is the solution to
transport, dump, and level the stone all by themselves.
