The art of recovering an image from damage in an undetectable form is known as inpainting. The manual work of inpainting is most often a very time consum ing process. Due to digitalization of this technique, it is automatic and faster. In this paper, after the user selects the regions to be reconstructed, the algorithm automatically reconstruct the lost regions with the help of the information surrounding them. The existing methods perform very well when the region to be reconstructed is very small, but fails in proper reconstruction as the area increases. This paper describes a Hierarchical method by which the area to be inpainted is reduced in multiple levels and Total Variation(TV) method is used to inpaint in each level. This algorithm gives better performance when compared with other existing algorithms such as nearest neighbor interpolation, Inpainting through Blurring and Sobolev Inpainting.

A STUDY AND ANALYSIS OF DIFFERENT EDGE DETECTION TECHNIQUES
In the first study [1], a combination of K-means, watershed segmentation method, and Difference In Strength (DIS) map were used to perform image segmentation and edge detection
tasks. We obtained an initial segmentation based on K-means clustering technique. Starting from this, we used two techniques; the first is watershed technique with new merging
procedures based on mean intensity value to segment the image regions and to detect their boundaries. The second is edge strength technique to obtain accurate edge maps of our images without using watershed method. In this technique: We solved the problem of undesirable over segmentation results produced by the watershed algorithm, when used directly with raw data images. Also, the edge maps we obtained have no broken lines on entire image. In the 2nd study level set methods are used for the implementation of curve/interface evolution under various forces. In the third study the main idea is to detect regions (objects) boundaries, to isolate and extract individual components from a medical image. This is done using an active contours to detect regions in a given image, based on techniques of curve evolution, Mumford–Shah functional for segmentation and level sets. Once we classified our images into different intensity regions based on Markov Random Field. Then we detect regions whose boundaries are not necessarily defined by gradient by minimize an energy of Mumford–Shah functional forsegmentation, where in the level set formulation, the problem becomes a mean-curvature which will stop on the desired boundary. The stopping term does not depend on the gradient of the image as in the classical active contour. The initial curve of level set can be anywhere in the image, and interior contours are automatically detected. The final image segmentation is one
closed boundary per actual region in the image.

n this post I describe the method of structural measurements of planar structures using oriented core digital photographs. The main advantage of the method is an opportunity to reduce field-based time of the drill-core processing. All the measurements can be done in the office.
Users can work either in the standard GIS platforms (ArcMap, MapInfo etc) or even use digitizers outside of GIS environment which makes the technique comparatively cheap.
The method consists of two steps:
1) digitazing photographs and obtaining a table of xy coordinates of the three-point sets of planar structures
2) calculating actual structure orientations using the MSExcel calculation spreadsheets.

From given pair of stereo pairs of images, it is possible to have matching techniques to obtain image descriptors or phenomena to compare the images. The goal of stereo matching can be achieved using either relational matching or feature or signal. However, the signal approach is most widely used. Recently Lemmens [10] provided a comprehensive review of many stereo matching techniques. In this paper we implement the techniques that can help in the real world. These small, family-run farms have very small field sizes, use little technology, and require significant manual labor. Mt St Helens
Mount St. Helens is a large volcanic cone that erupted on May 18, 1980, causing massive destruction. The eruption triggered an earthquake that collapsed the north side of the mountain in a massive debris avalanche. This was followed by a pyroclastic flow that flattened vegetation over 600 square kilometers and released over 1.5 million metric tons of sulfur dioxide. Lahars, or volcanic mudflows, formed from the collapse debris and flowed over 27 kilometers, destroying bridges and camps. The eruption killed 57 people and over 7,000 animals and destroyed over 200 homes and damaged highways and railways.

Long barrows were ancient communal tombs built as elongated mounds of earth or chalk covering a wooden or stone chamber. Burials took place over 3-4 generations or a decade. Initial excavations show long barrows were built resembling Neolithic longhouses, with human remains added to and removed from the structures over centuries as part of ancestral rites and fertility ceremonies.

How to Build a Module in Odoo 17 Using the Scaffold Method
Odoo provides an option for creating a module by using a single line command. By using this command the user can make a whole structure of a module. It is very easy for a beginner to make a module. There is no need to make each file manually. This slide will show how to create a module using the scaffold method.

- 2. How many marks 1? Describe and explain the surveying and recording techniques illustrated. (6 marks) One recording technique used is photography. Photographs give an exact illustration of what is there, and a scale can be added, as in Figure 1 with the use of a ranging rod. Also the site could be measured with a total station in order to get exact measurements, or even a tape measure so that the site could be accurately recorded. Also, drawings such as displayed in Figure 1 could be used. Drawings allow for more ease in colour interpretation, however are far more time consuming, and the quality depends greatly on the talent and skill of the person doing the drawing.

- 4. How many marks, 2? In Figure 1 the surveying techniques illustrated are ones on measurement. In the foreground is a person holding a ranging rod vertically, this would give a lot of evidence, horizontal height or vertical, if layed down. A ranging rod gives a perspective of measurement of evidence and their surroundings. Also illustrated in a theodolite or a total station. This is used on a site to gain distances and angles of evidence of areas throughout the site. Once all this data is collected a total station could input all the distances and angles to create a 3D map of the site. The main recording technique which is shown in drawing in site with a grid. This is were a artist would divide the area (i.e. a box) which is being excavated into a grid, then draw accordingly to record the finds which can be clearly seen in Figure 1. However, this method of recording has its limitations to the fact that the drawing is left to the interpretation of the artist which would be misleading, this could be reflected with being accompanied by photographs in situ.
