This document discusses and provides instructions for determining whether a heart has a D-loop or L-loop configuration based on the positioning of the right and left ventricles. It instructs the reader to use their right hand to model the right ventricle, with the thumb as the inlet and fingers as the outlet, to identify a D-loop if it fits correctly. For an L-loop, it instructs using the left hand instead to model the right ventricle, with the thumb as the inlet and fingers as the outlet, to identify an L-loop if it fits correctly. In both cases, it notes that looping refers to the relationship between the positions of the left and right ventricles.

 We are talking about normal looping
 Now choose your right hand only
 Keep the hand in the right ventricle only

 Your thumb must look inlet
 Your fingers must look outflow tract
 If your right thumb exactly fits inlet and fingers tip in outlet
 Your doubt is gone ,jump and declare it is D-Loop of ventricle

 Anatomical RV is on the RT side of anatomical LV
 There is nothing to do in relation to midline of body
 Looping of heart means the relation of left and right ventricle
in term of their location to each other

4.  We are talking about L- looping of ventricle
Right ventricle & Left hand
 Now choose your left hand only
 Keep the hand in the right ventricle only
 Do not worry or forget on which side this right ventricle exists
 Do not worry or forget what makes outflow tract(aorta or PA)
 Your left thumb must look inlet
 Your left medial four fingers must look outflow tract
 If your left thumb exactly fits inlet and left fingers tip in outlet
 Declare it is L-loop of ventricle=CCTGA

5.  Anatomical RV is on the LT side of anatomical LV
