The image that I needed for my front
cover was of a portrait of my friend
who would pose as a music artist. The
image would be
taken at 18:00
because this way
there would be
no daylight or un
necessary light

would be a horizontal image of
the artist playing the guitar. This
would conform musical talent to
the audience and make him look
more like a music artist.

The shot type was a medium, this was
the shot type I used because this way
the audience can see the whole of the
artist which suggests that the artist is
not hiding anything and is open to
their fans.
The equipment I needed to use for
taking this image was a camera, SD

image was a medium aswell. I
needed a medium shot type
because this way my magazine
looks consistent in its
appearance.
I needed the same equipment for
this image that I did for the front

for the guitar as I needed to use
the whole guitar in the picture.

These items were key because I
needed to take the pictures and save
them and needed to be prepared
incase the battery died.
I used tungsten lighting because the
artist’s face needed to be seen and it
gave a glow effect to the image which
was needed to make the artist stand
out.
The costume that the artist would
wear would be a long, dark and black
coat with black eye shadow. This was
a good costume because the dark and
black colours would conform rock
music.
I used my friend for the artist because
they were frequently available on
flexible times to take the photos, this
was important because the pictures
were taken at 6 o’clock which not
many people would have been able to
make.

cover I also needed the artist to
stand out and their face to be
seen.

I used my friend for this image
aswell bec ause he was potraying
the same artist in both sets of
images.

No permission was needed to be
made as it was my house. I needed to
make contact with my friend however
who would be posing in the photo. I
made contact by emailing them asking
if they would participate in the photo
shoot.

Why?
I took this image at my house because
it had the lighting I needed and would
prevent any health and safety dangers
that could be caused from taking them
outside.
I took this image at my house
because it would prevent damage
to the guitar and would not
create health and safety risks
from being outside at night.
I took the picture inside my
house just like the other pictures
because tjis way no damage
would come to the guitar and it
has the light required.
