Unit 13 LO3 – “Be able to develop ideas by creating proposals and sample
materials for two original print-based products.
Photographer: Me
The photographer is going to be me as I have easy access to a camera and I want
to take my own pictures. The shot types I am going to use are long shots
especially for the double page spread, close ups and medium shots because I
want the audience to be able to see my artist clearly and close ups and mid shots
will enable this. The lighting is going to be high key as I want the artist to stand
out and so the pictures are the best quality they can be. I do not attend to apply
any effects as the lighting should be enough.
Casting: Jess Blundell
The title is going to be called sound because I think it really relates to the music
that I will also promote this in the magazine. The title ‘Sound’ connotes a good
type of vibe and that the magazine is going to be lively (full of information
relating to music).

I have chosen these images to be suitable because the girl in the picture has long
hair and clear skin and for most of the audience she is attractive which means
she would appeal to the audience. She also looks like a famous celebrity; this
would also attract the audience and readers because of her image and the way
she presents herself.
Model requirements:
Jessica Blundell is 5ft 3, she doesn’t look like any celebrity but however she has a
very natural look that I was going for.
Wardrobe and Look:
In the images that I have taken she is wearing a long sleeve top and jeans to fit
the causal look, on one of the images she is wearing high heels to fit a stylish
look, I have chosen her to wear these items because it shows to the reader and
the audience that she has made an effort when making the cover and double

Hair and Make up:
 I have chosen her to have straight and long hair for my front cover and
double page spread because it implies a very casual look which I was
going for.

When: 1pm
