1. 1. PHOTOSHOOT.
PLANNING.
2. 2. The main photoshoot is planned for the 15th March 2011. The photos will be in black and white to match the colour scheme and the shoot will take place in the studio.
Model: Luke Mudge
Contact Details:
Tel: 07766096948
E-mail:
Request:
Me > Would it be alright for me to take some photos of you for my music magazine?
Luke > Yes, that would be fine, where do you want to take them and when?
Me > In the photography studio in first period tomorrow (15th March)...
Luke > That’s fine. I’ll meet you there...
3. 3. Location.
My photoshoot is going to take place in a studio, as I want to have a plain white background that does not distract from the cover artist. I feel it will make a bolder statement and it apllies to my colour scheme of , and . As the blue will be represented in the Header and the clear black and white image will contrast against it. In the studio I can adapt the lighting to my choice and makes a more controlled photo with the connection of the photographer and model.
4. 4. My model is dressed casually with in monochromatic colours, the distinction is made by contrasting the blonde hair with a dark jacket. The style he is going for represents the genre of music he performs and that which fits my magazine. That focus is the ‘indie’ genre which portrays a relaxed style of music that is made by independent labels but has become more mainstream in recent years.
I wanted to get my model relaxed so positioned him sitting down and in a casual stance. In order to create these images I made conversation and took photos without him aware of when I was to take a photo. This portrays the genre ‘indie’ as it doesn’t need a big statement to be good.
5. 5. FINAL COVER IMAGE.
6. 6. CONTENTS PAGE IMAGE.
7. 7. These are the photos that I took for my double page spread, these show the musician inside the studio. Images again in black + white to reflect the artist style.
8. 8. ADDITIONAL PHOTOS.
9. 9. These images were taken at Bush Hall, London, at a gig I went to of an artist called Natty. These will be used as part of my ‘Free Merchandise’ on the front cover.
10. 10. I have also taken more photos to act as ‘Free Merchandise’. Some taken on Brick Lane of my model Jake and others at a La Roux gig at the Hexagon, Reading. The red highlighted ones will be posters within my magazine and will be on the front cover.
