This document describes a study comparing different control strategies for controlling the level in a conical tank process. An ANFIS-based model reference adaptive PID controller is proposed and its performance is evaluated through simulation against conventional PID and MRAC-PID controllers. The results show that the ANFIS-based MRAC-PID controller provides superior performance in terms of integral square error and integral absolute error, demonstrating faster response and settling without overshoot across different operating levels of the conical tank process.
