Papers On The Piano Lesson
The Piano Lesson takes place in the year 1936 where Berniece and Boy Willie have a small
altercation about the piano that was left to them by their ancestors. Throughout the play, there are
many historical references; African American music and ghosts that blend Christian, folk fare, and
African American themes together. In this research paper, the primary goal is to be the designer of
the play while focusing on creating the set. My approach to creating the set of the play is to use the
play introduction and then find information about that time by doing a quick web search.
To make sure everyone can see the play without a problem, I would design the play like a 3x4 box.
You would have a box with just one side open. This box would be made... Show more content on

Since this is all happening at Doakers house, then only one set needs to be designed. The shape
is going to be 2x3 and about the medium size that way everyone can properly see what is going
on without having to move about in his or her seats. There is no need to shift the scenery in and
out of sight because Scene II would happen in the dining room, the box and stairs both will be
made out of wood, and since this is happening in the 1930 s; there will be huge historical changes
that will defiantly change the scenery. Some example of historical differences could include color,
furniture, wallpaper, and technology. Some properties that would be included in the play would
be some rope, a gold cross, a bible, a dollar bill, some cups, rags, and an envelope. The reason I
would want Scene II to happen in the dining room is because I could create one big box that
would have the living room and dining room already built, thus there would be no need to create
the kitchen. As you can see, designing a play is a lot of hard with tons of little details that go into
it. Since this play set in the 30 s, there was a vast scenery change between modern today and
before. I hope you have learned something new by reading this short research

Why Buyers Should Not Consider Purchasing A Home
After increasing my own financial awareness and witnessing the financial journeys of others during
the past recession, I find that boomerang buyers should not consider purchasing a home as their
sole financial investment. Mortgages with ballooning payments mixed with hopes of future
refinancing are a dangerous combination. These factors precipitated the last housing bubble and
the eventual recession period. In order to learn from past behavior, home buyers should ensure
that they habitually save for a rainy day fund because financial rainy days have proven to be
cyclical. Purchasing a home should be a process that results in a buyer feeling comfortable with the
home they choose versus simply selecting the largest mortgagefor which they... Show more content

For example, Arizona s metropolitan cities of Mesa, Phoenix and Scottsdale are considered areas
within the United States that have made the best recoveries since the 2006 crash. In July of this
year, Michael Orr, the Director of the Center for Real EstateTheory and Practice, stated that In the
past two months the number of building permits in the $200,000 to $500,000 range has increased,
but this does not mean that Arizona s metropolitan housing markets are completely in the clear.
Home buyers are encountering steep competition when looking to purchase affordable homes.
According to Realtor.com s Advance Read of September Trend, the 2015 housing market has turned
into a buyer s market. U.S. Housing Sector Shifts to Buyers Markets in September author Miho
Favela highlighted three key statistics supporting Realtor.com s claims:
National median list price is $230,000 down decreased 1 percent over August and up 6 percent year
over year.
Median age of inventory is now 80 days, up 6.7 percent from August, but down 5 percent year
over year, reflecting the seasonal trend for fall listings to stay longer on the market as the day
becomes shorter.
Listings inventory will likely end the month down 0.5 percent from August. By the end of 2006,

Coyotes range from 20 50 pounds and their coat can range from rust to gray and they have a
black tip on their tail. They have 42 teeth and eight mammae. They females gestation period is
60 36 days. In April May female coyotes will give birth to five ten young. Newborn pups weigh

their eyes open. They begin to wean their young at 21 days. By six weeks they are FULLY
weaned. During the weaning period adults will bring them food. The young will lick the face of an
adult who will then regurgitate food for them. Along with communicating by scent, coyotes have a

The Implications Of Genetically Engineered Foods
Genetically engineered foods are defined as foods that have had genes from other animals or
plants (hereby referred to as foreign genes) added onto their genetic codes. The genetic engineering
technique can be employed on animals, plants, or on such microorganisms as bacteria (NIH). The
question of whether foods derived from such organisms should be approved for human
consumption is what has raised widespread controversy among many circles. There are those who
view GM foods as the ultimate solution to major challenges of the 21st century while others see
them as a threat to human health and the environment. Notably, the global society is facing major
challenges key among them being foodinsecurity and environmental issues such as global warming
and climate change. Genetically engineered foods present a potential solution to these challenges.
This paper will argue that with adequate research and regulation, genetically engineered foods
should be approved owing to the benefits they present in terms of increased food production and
quality, as well as eliminating the need to compromise the environment in the pursuit of more
cultivation land and higher crop yield.
In my view, we certainly need genetically engineered foods to fight food insecurity that
characterizes the global society. A look at related statistics denotes a population that is facing
serious food security challenges. According to the Food and AgricultureOrganization (FAO), an
estimated 795 million

Curley s Wife And Crooks Body
Lennie, being the man that he is, attracts Curley to a fight. Lennie keeps saying no, but Curley won
t listen, and he just keeps punching and punching. Finally, Lennie decides to do something and
breaks his hand. Talking to George now, he is disappointed in himself. Since George was watching
this whole thing, he knows that Lennie didn t do anything wrong, but that doesn t occur to Lennie.
He still wants confirmation from George that he is still in the clear. From the question that Lennie
asks about the rabbits, it can be inferred that he is a nice guy. Everything he does is so that he can
one day tend the rabbits. He is truly trying to pursue his goal of that small house with many rabbits.
Since Curley attacked him, there was nothing that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once George finds him first, he decides it would be best if Lennie died, and so he shoots him in the
back of the head where he will feel no pain. George and Lennie being the best of friends, it is
surprising George decides to kill his mate. In a way, it makes sense. If the others were to catch
Lennie first, then Curley would have most likely tortured or killed Lennie in a very painful way.
During all this, George would have to watch without being able to do anything. Lennie made the
mistake, and he will have to pay for it no matter what. The best way to quickly end it is to kill
him painlessly when he is happy. This stops their goal of living together in a small house.
George will either have to complete that dream himself or choose another companion. Either
way, it is a loss for George and for Lennie. In a way, this may be the best for George. Now he
doesn t have to deal with a person who is constantly messing up and is hard to deal with. This act
of deciding to kill Lennie is an epiphany. This is because, before this, George and Lennie were
really close, but after, George had to go through the process of deciding to kill Lennie. The
moment when George realizes that the best situation for his friend is for George to kill him is
harsh. George did the best for Lennie, and that is what

Hardware Implementation Of Impedance Inverter And...
ABSTRACT The aim of this project is to do simulation and hardware implementation of
Impedance inverter and controlling speed of three phase induction motor. In Impedance inverter
one control circuit which has elements like L C which is known as impedance network in which L
is connected in series C is connected in parallel. By creating short through fault in this network, we
can get voltage Buck or Boost. This is the main advantage of impedance inverter. This impedance
inverter is applying to control speed of an induction motor. In CSI and VSI techniques which
Produces undesirable harmonics. This harmonic results in reduction in efficiency of induction
motor speed control. By using this inverter the harmonics are reduced which helps in giving better
variable speed for speed control of induction motor. In this impedance inverter consists of two
inductors and two capacitors which acts as filter that reduces harmonics And it can also be
effectively reduce the voltage stress across the capacitors in the impedance network. This reduces
the voltage range of the capacitors used, and also the cost of the proposed Method. FIGURE

The Color Of Water Character Analysis
Malala Yousafzai once stated, Let us remember: One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher
can change the world . In one s life, there is always someone or something steering them in a
direction. It can be as complex as an intervention held for someone, or as simple as a small talk
with someone that is idolized. In the short memoir, The Color of Water, by James McBride, James
takes the simple route. He is portrayed as a young careless boy throughout the story and starts
going into a downward spiral after deathapproaches those around him. Due to all of his bad habits
such as drugs and cutting class, he is sent to other family members and connects with a strange man
on the street corner. This man turns out to play a huge role in shaping what james will become.
Throughout James McBride s life, the most influential person on his identity was Chicken Man.
There are many ways that Chicken Man influenced James s identity. One of those ways was how
Chicken Man prevented James from going down a road that involved drugs, jail, and a waste of
his life. When James gets harrassed by a man at his job, he punches him in the face. Because of
this incident, James got fired. He then ran his idea to shoot the guy that got him fired by Chicken
Man, he is confused at the answer he got. Chicken man asked if that is , how you want to end up,
Goin to jail for him? (McBride 149) illustrating how Chicken Man is trying to influence James not

The Rana Plaza Building Collapse
The collapsing of the Rana Plaza building in the Dhaka suburb of Savar, is a tragic incident that
occurred on April 24, 2013 (Prashad 2013). The Rana Plaza building was the establishment that
had workers who were the commodity of the production of garments that are sold to the Western
market. A couple days post collapse, it was reported that the death toll was well into the triple
digits. This paper will draw on the details of pre and post Rana Plaza s collapsing while
connecting it to Marx and Engels ideologies in response to the four questions and/or issues. Marx s
dialectical method and thinking can be used to tackle the issue about the structural propensity of
capitalismto be global because he rejects the either or dichotomy.... Show more content on

The biological analogy raised by the instructor can be used to interpret the aforementioned in the
simplest manner by visualizing a caterpillar evolving into a butterfly. Nonetheless, this is a
naturally occurring process and is the same way Marx wants the people to interpret the constant
social change that is the structural propensity of capitalism to be global. That being said, Marx
again is a dialectical thinker so believing only in constant change alone is one sided in his
perspective. Another quote raised by the instructor is the unity of opposites. Essentially, this quote
ties in with the dialectical method and suggests that although social change is inevitable in the
eyes of Marx, it is at the same time not the only thing happening. Rather, Marx is hinting that there
is an underlying theme that constantly remains the same. Simply put, this is the conflict between
the capitalist and the worker, leading to the next issue to be covered in this paper. Going back to
the collapsing of the Rana Plaza, Prashad reveals that there appears to be a trend of factory
buildings collapsing in the twenty first century, specifically poorly built shelters for a production
process geared toward long working days, third rate machines, and workers

Intrusion Detection System Essay
Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) Software
An intrusion detection system (IDS) monitors network traffic, monitors for suspicious activity,
and alerts the system or network administrator. In some cases, the IDS may also respond to
anomalous or malicious traffic by taking action such as blocking the user or source IP address
from accessing the network. IDS come in a variety of flavours and approach the goal of detecting
suspicious traffic in different ways.
Network based (NIDS) and host based (HIDS) intrusion detection systems. There are IDS that
detect based on looking for specific signatures of known threats similar to the way antivirus
software typically detects and protects against malware and there are IDS that detect based on ...

Passive IDS. Simply detects and alerts when suspicious or malicious traffic is detected an alert is
generated and sent to the administrator or user and it is up to them to take action to block the
activity or respond in some way. Identifying way not implicating any procedures after protection.
Reactive IDS, will not only detect suspicious or malicious traffic and alert the administrator but
will be proactive and take a pre assigned actions to respond to threats. Typically, this means
blocking any further network traffic from the source IP address or user.

selected to have their information diverted to an internet cafГ© in Amsterdam.
Overall There is a fine line between a firewall and an IDS. There is also a technology called IPS
Intrusion Prevention System. An IPS is essentially a firewall which combines network level and
application level filtering with a reactive IDS to proactively protect the network. It seems

it s a really well known place for each to reside, but they don t even live next to one another in

Many believe they have the same exact features, which isn t exactly the case. They ve got a few
slight differences that make them different from one another. Alligators are significantly smaller
than crocodiles. The average length of an adult alligator is 13.1 feet, but are sometimes known
to grow a little over 14 feet. Adult crocodiles are usually around 14 23 feet long, depending on
the species. Crocodiles also weigh significantly more than alligators. The adult crocodile weighs
around 2000 pounds, while the alligator weighs in at 800 pounds average. Their lifespans are
also in very different ranges of the other. Crocodiles live to be about anywhere between 40 to
100 years, while alligators only live around 30 to 50 years. The lifespan also depends greatly

Influence Of The CSI Effect In Crime Scene Investigations
The CSI Effect
The CSI Effect began to fully take effect as the popularity for crime scene investigation
televisions series became popular. One of the more prominent television series that contributes to
the CSI Effect is CSI however there are several more like Criminal Minds, Bones, or Castle. In
2006 the weekly ratings taken by Nielsan determined that five of the top 10 television programs
[during one week] were about scientific evidence in criminal cases. Together, they amassed more
than 100 million viewers (Shelton, 2008). This fact emphasizes just how popular crime television

There is also the impact on the general public as a whole. For instance, those watch police
investigation dramas on television is generally their only source of knowledge on how the
process works. Individuals take information they already have, simplify the complexity of an
issue, and derive a steadfast conclusion (Stevens, 2010 pp. 6 7). What this means is that common
people look at a problem and make an instant resolution or in other words, make a prediction
without knowing all the evidence or going through the deductive process. Individuals see the
repetition in the dramas leading them to assume what is going to happen. The thoughts of these
individuals are the ultimate building blocks to the CSI Effect. What is has ultimately come down
to is that the public has views shows that have hypothetically solved real life cases before the
actual cases have gotten to trial, so some jurors believe they have gained insight from the media s

that electronic cigarettes produce lower levels of pollutants, making electronic cigarettes safer for

Lady Capulet Language Analysis
The nurse s most prominent qualities are that she is more casual in her manner of speaking and
makes very inappropriate comments throughout the scene. The nurse s informal manner is seen
quite a few times during 1:3 (Act 1, Scene 3). Towards the beginning of the scene, she repeatedly
addresses Juliet as Jules . This nickname tells the reader that the nurse and Juliet get along well
and seem to be more like friends. Another significant moment when her way of speaking stands out
is when the reader compares Lady Capulet s form of speaking to the nurse s way. Essentially, the
nurse speaks quite freely with the Capulets due to her friendly relationship with them. This freedom
of speech often leads to quite crude and odd comments from her (the nurse)

Pros And Cons Of Legal Burden Of Proof
According to Murphy on Evidence this was explained as the whole of the evidence, of the truth or
sufficient probability of every essential fact in issue.
There are two types of burdens involved in criminal and civil action. Such as,
Legal Burden (LB) and
Evidential Burden (EB)
In the case of legal burden, the jury decides the matter of the case and when it comes to the criminal
matters the prosecution has the burden to prove. In criminal actions the accused, is considered as an
innocent party and the prosecution should have to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
According to the woolmington principle the burden of proof is lie on the prosecution and till the

Margherita Dolce Vita Summary
In the story, Margherita Dolce Vita, there is an adolescent named Angelo. Angelo is a mysterious
character that does not show up often in the book. When he does show up, he is mostly with his

to tell what the evidence points towards. According to, The National Institute of Mental

person mentally, physically and behaviorally. Even though it is not common, it is possible for
children(15 and younger) to have schizophrenia. It is more common for people to start showing
symptoms from between 16 and 30 years of age. There are three kinds of symptoms, of which are
in their own groups. There are positive symptoms which are psychotic behaviors not generally seen
in healthy people. People affected by positive symptoms may not have a strong sense of what is
reality or not reality. The symptoms include hallucinations, delusions, thought process (atypical
thinking), and movement disorders. There are also negative symptoms, which are associated with
disruptions in behavior and emotions. These symptoms include flat affect(reduced expressions),

How We Connect Makes All The Difference Summary
What Is a Healthy Self ? Adolescents who are able to learn and develop, and then determine who
they are for themselves often reflect a healthier sense of self. Children who strive to be who their
parents or others who influence them want them to be, often become detached from their internal
sense of selfand do not properly develop. Dr. Levin discusses many disruptors of self development
in children from affluent homes such as constant pressures to adopt a social facile, high levels of

There are many different parenting styles that help children develop healthy lifestyles. Dr.
Levine focuses this chapter on the authoritarian, permissive and authoritative parents. The
authoritarian parent, or the do as your told parent as stated in the book, focuses on strict rules
for their children. These parents carry a strong because I said so ideology and end up hurting
their kids more than they help. These kids end up with low self esteem and high rates of
depression. The permissive parent, or the do your own thing parent, focus more on a friendship
with their child other than a respectful parent child relationship. These parents have trouble
disciplining their child and don t teach their children correct skills to take responsibility for their
actions. The last parenting style, the authoritative parent, are accepting of their child, but also
have clear rules and expectations. These parents have appropriate discipline while also focusing
on how to better their child. The children of these types of parents have better grades, better

Common Causes Of World War I
Through two world wars, there have been many similarities and differences over the course of
this time. It is easy to discuss both wars and how it changed the world, but when comparing
common causes of the war the overall common factors are the imperialism and nationalism that
caused these devastating wars to take place, along with instability both economically and
politically all over the world right before the wars took place. There is so much background
history leading up to what started both tragic wars and it is important to highlight factors like the
economics and politics leading up to the war and the economic life and politics taking place
during both world wars along with the leaders that got these wars to go from a war between a
couple countries to a war affecting countries all over the world.
Even though this was not a cause of the war it is important to note that in both World War Iand in
World War II there were sides that were chosen. It was a battle of the Central Powers against the
Allies. The Central Powers were made up of Germany, the Ottoman Empire, and Austria. While the
Allies made up of Britain, France, Russia, Italy and the United States. In World War II the alliances

or died which in turn brings their good characteristics into view. The female characters we will be
talking about are Penelope, from The Odyssey, and Eurydice, from Orpheus and Eurydice.
In The Odyssey, The female character Penelope, Odysseus s wife, withstood the constant requests of
the suitors who wished to take her hand and waited for Odysseus return from the battlefront of the
Trojan War. In Ithica, she endured never releasing hope he would return for 10 long years after the
Trojan War. With his return she was elated but knew her trials

Should Legal System Be Used To Resolve Purposeful Misconduct
The legal system should be used to resolve purposeful misconduct; instead frivolous lawsuits
have affected every aspect of our society because individuals with legitimate grievances have
been trivialized to a get rich quick mentality that is permeating American society. There was a
time if someone spilled coffee on their lap or tripped on a raised sidewalk, they called
themselves clumsy, but today they call an attorney. Attorneys have created the mindset that
anyone can win the legal lottery by suing over situations that could have been resolved by
simply turning the other cheek. To turn the other cheek, is a biblical instruction to urge people
to be motivated by love and to have a desire for the redemption and forgiveness of offenders in
lieu of personal revenge and/or vengeance. It was also not intended for people to be passive
victims nor suffer in silence and refuse to seek legal protection if a person provoked another into a
confrontation with a literal slap or with stinging sarcasm the person slapped should avoid retaliating
by simply turning the other cheek. Legal historian William Nelson argues that no topic has... Show

English law in its earliest stages did not differentiate between tort and crime; when one person
harmed another, the remedy was known as a feud and the object was to cause an equivalent
harm to the wrongdoer. In the earliest form, English courts were local and applied local laws.
After the Norman conquest of England in 1066, William the Conqueror brought Norman law that
was heavily influenced by Roman law, to intermingle with Anglo Saxon and Celtic legal
traditions. Royal courts were created and gradually took limited jurisdiction over a specified list
of wrongs primarily felonies where there was a breach of the king s peace, and disputes involving

Creating A Crisis Management Plan For Mentorship Academy...
Signature Assignment
Create a Crisis Management Plan
The purpose of this assignment is to create a crisis management plan for Mentorship Academy
Athletic Department. Mentorship Academy host several athletic events throughout the school year
for high school athletes to participate. Students that participates in any athletic events are at a risk
for injuries than any other student and causes each sport to have a higher standard of caution and
safety to protect the students safety. Therefore I will be completing a crisis managementplan for

Each coach must assist in performing regularly scheduled facility inspections to insure safety.
When using outdoor and indoor facilities, it is important to performed scheduled inspections to
insure safety for the student athletes, coaches and spectators. Although every sport have a different
safety need as it pertains to facilities. That s why it is important for facilities to have an inspection
before the spectators are allowed in the venue. Coaches must also be aware of the athletics health
when it pertains to heat exhaustion. Coaches also have a duty to protect the students from injury
with the proper equipment. If there is a sport that has a greater risk of injury the then there should
be a higher need for equipment protection. When it pertains to football each player must have
shoulder pads, helmet, mouth piece, thigh pads and knee pads.
However, even though athletes have to wear the safety equipment in order to participate in any
sport, the coaches have the responsibility to inform the parents and the students about the inherent
risks for the sport. Therefore all parents should also be aware of the specific inherent risks per sport,
athletes insurance, equipment, transportation and expectations for players and fans.
As a part of any risk management planning there should be an emergency medical plans. As athletic
injuries occur during the event of a game or practice, the athletic training staff must assist with the

Suge Being Responsible for Tupac s Death and is Tupac Really Dead
The world has always been filled with certain unknowns and conspiracies that keep people
debating between whether or not these unknowns are fact or fiction. History has proved that there
are several occurrences that have sprouted questions within the mind. Did we really land on the
moon in 1969? Did an alien spacecraft crash in New Mexico? What is going on at Area 51? There
is one conspiracy that continually demands answers, especially amongst teenagers. It revolves
around a man that affects most teenagers directly because of his influence through his music. The
controversy in question is whether or not Tupac Amaru Shakur truly died from a shooting. Tupac

have set Tupac up? Suge is the executive producer of Death Row Records. With Tupac dead, the
profits go to him. Is that reason enough for Suge to have Tupac shot? The suspicions behind
Suge s involvement are not the only things that seem bizarre. The entire situation during the
night of Tupac s shooting seemed odd. There were a couple cars filled with Tupac s entourage
directly behind the car that Tupac was riding in. The entourage was a group of Tupac s friends.
One would assume that they were friends that would be willing to protect Tupac, especially,
Tupac s bodyguard. So when the shooter in the white Cadillac finished shooting at Tupac, it is
particularly speculative that no one sought to figure out who the murderer was shortly after the
incident. The murder took place in Las Vegas, which is adjacent to a huge desert. Why was it so
easy for the assailants to get away? There was only one witness to the shooting. His name was
Yafeu Fula and he was found shot to death on November 10th in a hallway of an apartment
building in East Orange, NJ. First, it is not likely that there would only be one witness to a drive
by shooting in one of the busiest cities in the world, especially after a Mike Tysonfight that tens of
thousands of people attended. One would think

The Models Have Different Approaches Towards The Concept...
Nursing Both models have different approaches towards the concept of nursing. Leininger
presented nursing as activities directed toward assisting, enabling, and supporting with the cultural
beliefs and values of the recipient of care (Masters, 2014, p. 69). Nursing is a general profession
which includes culturally congruent care; nurses provide care for members of diverse cultures.
According to JaroЕЎovГЎ (2014), nursing is presented by three types of activities which are
culturally congruent with the needs and values of clients (p. 49). However, Roy defines nursing as
using the four adaptive modes, promote adaptation for individuals and groups, thus contributing to
health, quality of life, and dying with dignity (McEwen Wills, 2014, p. 179). JaroЕЎovГЎ, (2014)
explained that nursing focuses on adaptive abilities of individual, families, and communities. By
manipulating focal and contextual stimuli and decreasing the influence of residual stimuli, nursing
strives to reduce ineffective responses and promote adaptation of individual in health and illness (p.
54). The metaparadigm concepts are well defined in these two models. However, there are some
similarities and differences found between the two models. The relationship among the concepts is
evident and is related to one another, and these are consistent with the model s scientific
assumptions. However, in philosophical assumptions, the definition and relationship of the
concepts are not clearly consistent.

As the district court decided correctly when Mr. Molson had proven he spoke as a citizen on a
matter of public concern, his speech would be protected under the First Amendment because the

The Importance Of The Fourth Amendment To The Criminal...
There has always been the thought that the police can abuse their power, especially when it comes
to collection of evidence that could incriminate someone for something that was illegally obtained.
The exclusionary rule was put in place to counteract evidence that may have been illegally obtained
to be inadmissible in a court of law with few exceptions to the rule. Under the Fourth Amendment,
the police cannot just force their way into someone s home without probable cause. Even with
probable cause, the police need to have the consent of the owner or a warrant that says they can
search the premises, and that anything they find can be used against you in a court of law (Miller,
2016). The Fourth Amendment is one of the most important amendments to the criminal justice
system. The Fourth protects citizens from the police obtaining things that could lead citizens to be
convicted for something that they police did not have permission to obtain in the first place. The
exclusionary rulewas put in place by Mapp v. Ohioand Weeks v. United States. In Weeks V. United
States, Weeks was convicted of transporting lottery tickets through the mail when police illegally
search his home without a search warrant (oyez) The police went to his house where they search

Kathleen M. Kenyon s Life
INTRODUCTION Kathleen M. Kenyon is an archeologist of the twentieth century that is well
known and highly looked upon in her field. She came from a family with influence and and
connections to many different institutes and colleges. It is because of her family s influence and
connections that she was able to become well known and one of the best excavators in Great
Britain. Kathleen Kenyonwas born in London, England, on January 5, in 1906 to her parents
Fredric and Amy Kenyon after losing two children at birth due, according to family tradition, to
the incompetence of the doctor where they lived in Harrowon the Hill, a suburb of London. She
was the older sibling between her and her sister. Her father was a biblical scholar who also
believed in the inspiration of the Word of God and became the Director of the British Museum.
Kathleen goes on to say about having her father as a Director of the British Museum it was most
useful to have the national collection at one s disposal, added to which were the joys of
accompanying my father by the light of an electric torch to select books from the great catalogue
in his Reading Room. She enjoyed the access to material and studying she could do. Kathleen s
mother was not a scholar she was more artistic and musically talented. Amy s skills in painting and
art was a complement to her husband s scholarly detachment. Kathleen s mother was very talented,
she sang, sketched, and did different crafts like wood carving. Although

Differences Involved In The Digestive System
The digestive system is one of the main organ systems. The first process in the digestive system is
to consume the food. This is called ingestion. The digestive system is what absorbs and breaks
down the food and drinks that were eaten. The digestive organs break down food in two ways,
mechanical digestion and chemical digestion. In mechanical digestion, the processes starts from the
mouth to the stomach. During this process the food gets broken into smaller sizes. Then from there
chemical digestions begins to occur. Chemical digestion is when many different enzymes break
down the molecules so that they can be absorbed. Chemical digestion begins in the mouth and
continues in the intestines. The mouth does two things, mechanical breakdown of... Show more

The food is changed into chyme which is a slimy material. The chyme gets mixed with highly
acidic gastric juice and strong digestive enzymes in the stomach. This is to prepare the chyme for
the small intestine. There are hormones like gastine and molin that help move the chyme and pump
gastric juice. The chyme then goes to the first part of the small intestine called the duodenum. The
small intestines have three parts which are the duodenum, jejunum, and the ileum. The small
intestines break down the chyme by enzymes from the pancreas and bile. The pancreas produces
insulin which controls metabolism in the blood and enzymes that break down fats, carbohydrates,
and protein. Then the gallbladder releases the bile it stores into the duodenum to absorb fats. The
duodenum is mostly the continuous breakdown of the chyme while the jejunum and ileum absorb
the nutrients. All the nutrients get absorbed from the foods (vitamins, proteins, minerals, fats, and
carbohydrates) that travel into the bloodstream throughout the body. This is the third main function
called absorption. The liver absorbs all the nutrients from the small intestines. Another thing that the
liver does is it makes chemicals from the nutrients it absorbs that the body needs. It also breaks
down poisons and drugs in the body. From the small intestines come the large intestines (colon) that
are attached to the small

The Ocean Has Been My Favorite Environment
For as long as I can remember, the ocean has been my favorite environment. It s the only place
that I constantly feel at one with the earth and my surroundings. From an early age I always had
an idea on what I wanted to pursue as my career. I would read books about the oceanic world
below and The Great Barrier Reef in Australia. It wasn t until I encountered a wild dolphinat
Clearwater beach, Florida that I decided to be a marinebiologist. The dolphin was so friendly and
welcoming, swimming by me and my brother and allowing us to stroke his slimy skin. That
experience will stick with me forever and is a huge part of why I want to pursue a career in marine
biology.
When I chose to be a marine biologist, my parents were very supportive. They would take us to
the beach as much as possible for vacations, but also for me to be in that environment often.
There are numerous goals that I would hope to accomplish in my field like being promoted to
the highest position possible and being paid the maximum salary. Those goals will motivate me
to work to my fullest potential and always work my hardest. My ultimate goal is of course to help
the world by finding better ways to help out the ocean biome and to make the animals that live
there become safer. Making sure the animals are being treated good and the environment will help
the surface world in multiple ways.
A marine biologist is someone who studies all types of sea creatures, and can choose to specialize

A Comparison of Fahrenheit 451 and Dover Beach Essay
Fahrenheit 451 is a well written book that tells a story of a dream world and one man who wakes
up from that dream. Montag, the protagonist of the story, brings home a book of poetry one day
and begins to read the poem Dover Beach by Matthew Arnold to his wife and her guests. Many
critics think that Bradbury picked this poem because it paralleled life in his book. The poem
Dover Beach can be compared to Fahrenheit 451 because both pieces of writing talk about themes
of true love, fantasy and allover hopelessness.
One of the ways Fahrenheit 451 can be related to Arnold s Dover Beach is by connecting the
absense of true love in both of them. Throughout the book, Montag slowly ... Show more content on

how important you are, we are, to our happy world as it stands now (62) quot;. He is implying
that they, being the firemen, keep the world that they live in happy, because that is the world they
are used to being happy in. Their land of nonsense information is their dream world that people live
in without thinking of other possibilities for living. The beauty of the real world is masked by the
tall buildings of the city, which the firemen keep up to make the people happy. When people are
discovered hiding books in their houses, they are letting the light of the real world show

how his charter is the only one that has an actual communication with the upper level of the Israeli
army, demonstrating that Palestinians have no way of communication with the opposing side.
In addition to Sacco strategies, the first perspective Sacco shows in his comic book is
protection. Even when protection happens in both sides of conflict, Palestine is illustrated as a
more protective community, since the invaders are located within their territories. He shows
how protection is within the Palestinian and Israeli families and pride. Sacco adds that families
began to leave their houses, in page 24, he presents, his family was chased out by constant Israeli
gunfire, in this quote Sacco draws himself also in the frame next to Mr. T. a man who is looking
after his family s security. This man has to make a life decision of leaving their secure home, to
find an actual secure place for his family. Sacco points out those guns are in the hands of Israeli
army, but also in Palestinians hands. He chooses to not make the clear connection but the constant
firing happens when there are two different parties attacking. This attack is seen as a protection for
both countries lives. In the other hand Israelis are protecting their families that live in the other side
of the borders; they don t want their families to live through what is happening in Palestine for this

American bison (Bison bison) have lived for thousands of years, but are now going extinct due
to buffalo hunting. Bisons live in America, and their habitats are mostly river valleys, prairies

other leafy plants. Their predators are gray wolves, cougars, and bears. There is one kind of
species of American bison, but American bison ancestors can be traced to Southern Asia
thousands of years ago. Also, the history of bison and Native Americans are intertwined. Female
bison breed when they are two years old, and give birth to their first calves when they are three

Republicans praise the middle class but preach that giving the wealthy tax breaks will give us

this analysis, I have selected The Phantom Menace: What War on the Middle Class by Clive
Crook and A TED Talk on Income Inequality by Nick Hanauer for comparison. These readings
place focus on issues within the middle class in America. Hanauer appears to think that low
wages and unfair taxation are the main culprit of middle class struggle. However, Clive Crook
feels strongly that these economic inequities are so small compared to other growing problems
for the middle class. Nick Hanauer holds a valid point about income inequality being an
important issue, but I am not convinced it is the largest problem the middle class faces. Clive

Argumentative Essay On Cloning Horses

Cloning Horses
17 November 2017
Cloning Horses Cloning horses is like opening a pandora box, that s better left closed. In the years
to come cloning could become more common in the horse industry. As Ryan Bell states in the
article The Clone Age, When we clone we produce what we already have. (Bell Clone Age)
Breeders must remember; too much of a good thing is still a bad thing. So here s the question is
cloning good or bad.
The first equine wasn t cloned until 2003. However, the first organism was cloned in 1928. Hans
Spemann was the first person to create a clone, he cloned a frog. The most well known clone may
have been Dolly the sheep. Dolly was born in 1996, that was the year cloning became more
popular. (Bell Clone Age)
Why clone? That s the question many breeders are asking. For breeding stock cloning could
increase amounts of offspring. A clone could manage a breeding career from a horse so it could
continue to show.Cloning could bring back beloved childhood horses or past champions. But is it
worth the cost of $160,000? (Bell Clone Age)
Many breeders are weary of cloning. Not only is cloning expensive but, according to the article
Is Cloning Horses Ethical by M. Campbell, a few breed associations (including the thoroughbred
association) don t even allow clones to be registered. These roadblocks may be the reason that
worldwide only 100 to 200 horses are cloned per year. (Campbell)
When cloning many people believe the product will be 100% the same as the original. Out of
20,000 genes only 13 are not the same as the original horse s genes. This is because the eggs
needed to make a clone are usually taken from slaughterhouse mares.(Bell Clone Age) In the
article Equine Cloning by Oliver Pynn the cloning process is explained. Mitochondrial DNA
comes from the egg, and if the egg doesn t come from the original horse the clone is only
99.99935% the same. (Pynn) In the United States of America horse meat is not consumed. In some
foreign countries horse meat is consumed. Is cloned meat safe to eat? Many people worry about the
potential health effects

compared to The Chronicles of Narnia in which Lewis took the original story of the resurrection in
Christianity and turned it into a new perspective through Aslan and the world of Narnia. In the
novel Till We Have Faces, Lewis took a Greek myth and created the prehistory of the myth and
therefore created the story behind the actual story about Cupid and Psyche. The story is about the
ancient Greek gods and the mythology of ancient Greece. Despite the fact that the story is... Show

Another aspect is when Orual convinced Psyche to put light upon her husband in order to see
him fully. Orual is depicted as Eve, who tricked and persuaded Adam (Psyche) into eating the
apple of Eden, even though she knew it was wrong. Further, as Psyche got caught in doing so,
the god of the mountain raged and exiled Psyche: Now Psyche goes out into exile. Now she
must hunger and thirst and tread hard rocks. Those against whom I cannot fight must do their
will upon he (Lewis 173 174). Although the rest of the quote (which is not quoted in here) is
important in order to understand the essence of the book, the depiction of the exiling of Psyche
is a more important aspect when it comes to the depiction of Christianity in the novel. The fact
that Psyche must hunger and thirst and tread hard rocks (Lewis 174) is a depiction of how
Adam and Eve had to leave the garden of Eden and therefore leave the paradise in order to live
on earth, which compared to paradise is a place of hunger and thirst and treading hard rocks. The
depiction of Christianity and how Orual and Psyche disobeyed one of the gods draws a parallel to
Christianity and how Adam and Eve disobeyed

Essay on Synthesis of Aspirin
The Synthesis of Aspirin Chemistry Standard Level Lab Report Data Collection and Processing
and Conclusion and Evaluation Date: December 8th, 2011 Purpose: The purpose of this lab was
to synthesize aspirin, determine the theoretical yield, compare the percent yield to the theoretical
yield and test the purity of aspirin by adding Iron (III) chloride to the product. Hypothesis: I
hypothesize that salicylic acid will react with acetic anhydride to produce acetylsalicylic acid
(aspirin) and acetic acid (vinegar). Variables: Independent and controlled variables: The amount of
sulfuric acid used for catalysis and the amount of salicylic acid and acetic anhydride. Dependent
variables: Theoretical and actual yield of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The aspirin crystals were washed by pouring 10 mL of water over them through the funnel. The
filter paper, holding the aspirin crystals, was removed from the funnel and was left to dry before
being weighed. Once the aspirin crystals were weighed, the theoretical yield and the percent
yield of the experiment were calculated. The procedure was repeated once more using the same
steps. Procedure for the test of purity of aspirin: 0.1 gram of salicylic acid was weighed in a tray
and was then added to a test tube containing 2.0 mL of Iron (III) chloride, which was measured
using a 10 mL graduated cylinder, to test for phenols. 0.1 gram of commercial aspirin was
weighed in a tray and was then added to a second test tube containing 2.0 mL of Iron (III)
chloride, which was measured using a 10 mL graduated cylinder, to test for phenols. This was
repeated once more to validate results. 0.1 gram of my product from the first trial was weighed
in a tray and was then added to a third test tube containing 2.0 mL of Iron (III) chloride, which
was measured using a 10 mL graduated cylinder, to test for phenols. This was repeated once
more to validate results. 0.1 gram of my product from the second trial was weighed in a tray and
was then added to a fourth test tube containing 2.0 mL of Iron (III) chloride, which was measured

Essay about The Demand for Technology in Higher Education
The Demand for Technology in Higher Education Abstract
Students of the Millennial Generation expect technology in their future. Their upbringing, which
included using computers, PDA s, cell phones, and other technologies, have reinforced Millennial
students demand to see technology incorporated in many different respects, including higher
education. Millennial students insist that colleges become technologically advanced institutions
where teaching is interwoven with technology. In the past decade, colleges have sought to upgrade,
implement, and integrate as much technology as possible to not only stimulate Millennial students
desire to learn, but to train Millennial students for the future workforce. Additionally, colleges...

The Chronicle of Higher Education provided specific examples of the differences that colleges are
striving for in terms of utilizing the technological advancements of today. While one institution may
be upgrading networks and requiring laptops, another institution may be upgrading classrooms and
utilizing programs like Microsoft PowerPoint to teach.
As a collegiate student of the Millennial Generation who attends a very technologically oriented
school, I discovered that my technological expectations for college were fulfilled, but many other
colleges differ on how to integrate technology into a student s education. I can not imagine myself
at another college with different perspectives on technology. However, while each college differs in
it approach to technology, I found the same is true for every college...students of the Millennial
Generation, including myself, are demanding the upgrade, implementation, and integration of
technology in the educational setting and are leading the way for change within institutions of
higher education.
Personal computers are found in many households; laptop and desktop computers are found in
every office cubicle. PDA s and sub notebooks line the

The Warrior Achilles
The warrior Achilles, within the final year of the Trojan War, has shown why he is a skilled warrior
and revved individual, nearly godlike. In addition to that, at times throughout the lliad, showing his
humanity in moments that have touched him dearly. As it is portrayed throughout the lliad, when it
came down between the embassies of Priam and Agamemnons, it would be a decision which
Achillesmakes ultimately for his own reasoning and benefit. It would be Priam, who would be
able to sway the great Achilles in the return of his son s body, while Agamemnon s would
ultimate fail. It would be for the reason which Priam and Achilles shared in a moment of loss for
individuals they cared for deeply. That it is with the aid of Priam s embassy, that Achilles is able
to further reach in achieving his goal of honor and undying fame.
The relationship or lack thereof between Achilles and Agamemnon would put them at odds
constantly, both having different agendas and views in regards to the war. Early in the
beginning, we saw that honor was an important factor for Achilles, which was a part of his
ultimate end goal. In the scene between Achilles and his mother, he says, Mother, since you bore
me for a short life only, Olympian Zeus was supposed to grant me honor. Well, he hasn t given me
any at all. Agamemnon has taken away my prize and dishonored me., (lliad Bk 1 pg. 17) which in
one of the instances that shows a divide between them. That it s not about having a prize , but the

  • 2. Papers On The Piano Lesson The Piano Lesson takes place in the year 1936 where Berniece and Boy Willie have a small altercation about the piano that was left to them by their ancestors. Throughout the play, there are many historical references; African American music and ghosts that blend Christian, folk fare, and African American themes together. In this research paper, the primary goal is to be the designer of the play while focusing on creating the set. My approach to creating the set of the play is to use the play introduction and then find information about that time by doing a quick web search. To make sure everyone can see the play without a problem, I would design the play like a 3x4 box. You would have a box with just one side open. This box would be made... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Since this is all happening at Doakers house, then only one set needs to be designed. The shape is going to be 2x3 and about the medium size that way everyone can properly see what is going on without having to move about in his or her seats. There is no need to shift the scenery in and out of sight because Scene II would happen in the dining room, the box and stairs both will be made out of wood, and since this is happening in the 1930 s; there will be huge historical changes that will defiantly change the scenery. Some example of historical differences could include color, furniture, wallpaper, and technology. Some properties that would be included in the play would be some rope, a gold cross, a bible, a dollar bill, some cups, rags, and an envelope. The reason I would want Scene II to happen in the dining room is because I could create one big box that would have the living room and dining room already built, thus there would be no need to create the kitchen. As you can see, designing a play is a lot of hard with tons of little details that go into it. Since this play set in the 30 s, there was a vast scenery change between modern today and before. I hope you have learned something new by reading this short research ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Why Buyers Should Not Consider Purchasing A Home After increasing my own financial awareness and witnessing the financial journeys of others during the past recession, I find that boomerang buyers should not consider purchasing a home as their sole financial investment. Mortgages with ballooning payments mixed with hopes of future refinancing are a dangerous combination. These factors precipitated the last housing bubble and the eventual recession period. In order to learn from past behavior, home buyers should ensure that they habitually save for a rainy day fund because financial rainy days have proven to be cyclical. Purchasing a home should be a process that results in a buyer feeling comfortable with the home they choose versus simply selecting the largest mortgagefor which they... The Implications Of Genetically Engineered Foods Genetically engineered foods are defined as foods that have had genes from other animals or plants (hereby referred to as foreign genes) added onto their genetic codes. The genetic engineering technique can be employed on animals, plants, or on such microorganisms as bacteria (NIH). The question of whether foods derived from such organisms should be approved for human consumption is what has raised widespread controversy among many circles. There are those who view GM foods as the ultimate solution to major challenges of the 21st century while others see them as a threat to human health and the environment. Notably, the global society is facing major challenges key among them being foodinsecurity and environmental issues such as global warming and climate change. Genetically engineered foods present a potential solution to these challenges. This paper will argue that with adequate research and regulation, genetically engineered foods should be approved owing to the benefits they present in terms of increased food production and quality, as well as eliminating the need to compromise the environment in the pursuit of more cultivation land and higher crop yield. In my view, we certainly need genetically engineered foods to fight food insecurity that characterizes the global society. If the others were to catch Lennie first, then Curley would have most likely tortured or killed Lennie in a very painful way. ABSTRACT The aim of this project is to do simulation and hardware implementation of Impedance inverter and controlling speed of three phase induction motor. In Impedance inverter one control circuit which has elements like L C which is known as impedance network in which L is connected in series C is connected in parallel. By creating short through fault in this network, we can get voltage Buck or Boost. This is the main advantage of impedance inverter. This impedance inverter is applying to control speed of an induction motor. In CSI and VSI techniques which Produces undesirable harmonics. This harmonic results in reduction in efficiency of induction motor speed control. By using this inverter the harmonics are reduced which helps in giving better variable speed for speed control of induction motor. In this impedance inverter consists of two inductors and two capacitors which acts as filter that reduces harmonics And it can also be effectively reduce the voltage stress across the capacitors in the impedance network. This reduces the voltage range of the capacitors used, and also the cost of the proposed Method. A couple days post collapse, it was reported that the death toll was well into the triple digits. This paper will draw on the details of pre and post Rana Plaza s collapsing while connecting it to Marx and Engels ideologies in response to the four questions and/or issues. The biological analogy raised by the instructor can be used to interpret the aforementioned in the simplest manner by visualizing a caterpillar evolving into a butterfly. Nonetheless, this is a naturally occurring process and is the same way Marx wants the people to interpret the constant social change that is the structural propensity of capitalism to be global. That being said, Marx again is a dialectical thinker so believing only in constant change alone is one sided in his perspective. Another quote raised by the instructor is the unity of opposites. Essentially, this quote ties in with the dialectical method and suggests that although social change is inevitable in the eyes of Marx, it is at the same time not the only thing happening. Rather, Marx is hinting that there is an underlying theme that constantly remains the same. Simply put, this is the conflict between the capitalist and the worker, leading to the next issue to be covered in this paper. The suspicions behind Suge s involvement are not the only things that seem bizarre. The entire situation during the night of Tupac s shooting seemed odd. There were a couple cars filled with Tupac s entourage directly behind the car that Tupac was riding in. The entourage was a group of Tupac s friends. One would assume that they were friends that would be willing to protect Tupac, especially, Tupac s bodyguard. So when the shooter in the white Cadillac finished shooting at Tupac, it is particularly speculative that no one sought to figure out who the murderer was shortly after the incident. The murder took place in Las Vegas, which is adjacent to a huge desert. Why was it so easy for the assailants to get away? There was only one witness to the shooting. His name was Yafeu Fula and he was found shot to death on November 10th in a hallway of an apartment building in East Orange, NJ. First, it is not likely that there would only be one witness to a drive by shooting in one of the busiest cities in the world, especially after a Mike Tysonfight that tens of thousands of people attended. • 25. The Models Have Different Approaches Towards The Concept... Nursing Both models have different approaches towards the concept of nursing. Leininger presented nursing as activities directed toward assisting, enabling, and supporting with the cultural beliefs and values of the recipient of care (Masters, 2014, p. 69). Nursing is a general profession which includes culturally congruent care; nurses provide care for members of diverse cultures. According to JaroЕЎovГЎ (2014), nursing is presented by three types of activities which are culturally congruent with the needs and values of clients (p. 49). However, Roy defines nursing as using the four adaptive modes, promote adaptation for individuals and groups, thus contributing to health, quality of life, and dying with dignity (McEwen Wills, 2014, p. 179). JaroЕЎovГЎ, (2014) explained that nursing focuses on adaptive abilities of individual, families, and communities. By manipulating focal and contextual stimuli and decreasing the influence of residual stimuli, nursing strives to reduce ineffective responses and promote adaptation of individual in health and illness (p. 54). The metaparadigm concepts are well defined in these two models. However, there are some similarities and differences found between the two models. The relationship among the concepts is evident and is related to one another, and these are consistent with the model s scientific assumptions. However, in philosophical assumptions, the definition and relationship of the concepts are not clearly consistent. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 27. The Importance Of The Fourth Amendment To The Criminal... There has always been the thought that the police can abuse their power, especially when it comes to collection of evidence that could incriminate someone for something that was illegally obtained. The exclusionary rule was put in place to counteract evidence that may have been illegally obtained to be inadmissible in a court of law with few exceptions to the rule. Under the Fourth Amendment, the police cannot just force their way into someone s home without probable cause. Even with probable cause, the police need to have the consent of the owner or a warrant that says they can search the premises, and that anything they find can be used against you in a court of law (Miller, 2016). The Fourth Amendment is one of the most important amendments to the criminal justice system. The Fourth protects citizens from the police obtaining things that could lead citizens to be convicted for something that they police did not have permission to obtain in the first place. The exclusionary rulewas put in place by Mapp v. Ohioand Weeks v. United States. In Weeks V. United States, Weeks was convicted of transporting lottery tickets through the mail when police illegally search his home without a search warrant (oyez) The police went to his house where they search Weeks s room and took possession of various papers and articles found there, which were afterwards turned over to the United States marshal (Weeks v. The digestive system is what absorbs and breaks down the food and drinks that were eaten. The digestive organs break down food in two ways, mechanical digestion and chemical digestion. In mechanical digestion, the processes starts from the mouth to the stomach. During this process the food gets broken into smaller sizes. Then from there chemical digestions begins to occur. Chemical digestion is when many different enzymes break down the molecules so that they can be absorbed. Chemical digestion begins in the mouth and continues in the intestines. The mouth does two things, mechanical breakdown of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The food is changed into chyme which is a slimy material. The chyme gets mixed with highly acidic gastric juice and strong digestive enzymes in the stomach. This is to prepare the chyme for the small intestine. There are hormones like gastine and molin that help move the chyme and pump gastric juice. The chyme then goes to the first part of the small intestine called the duodenum. The small intestines have three parts which are the duodenum, jejunum, and the ileum. The small intestines break down the chyme by enzymes from the pancreas and bile. The pancreas produces insulin which controls metabolism in the blood and enzymes that break down fats, carbohydrates, and protein. Then the gallbladder releases the bile it stores into the duodenum to absorb fats. The duodenum is mostly the continuous breakdown of the chyme while the jejunum and ileum absorb the nutrients. All the nutrients get absorbed from the foods (vitamins, proteins, minerals, fats, and carbohydrates) that travel into the bloodstream throughout the body. This is the third main function called absorption. The liver absorbs all the nutrients from the small intestines. Another thing that the liver does is it makes chemicals from the nutrients it absorbs that the body needs. It also breaks down poisons and drugs in the body. Montag, the protagonist of the story, brings home a book of poetry one day and begins to read the poem Dover Beach by Matthew Arnold to his wife and her guests. Many critics think that Bradbury picked this poem because it paralleled life in his book. The poem Dover Beach can be compared to Fahrenheit 451 because both pieces of writing talk about themes of true love, fantasy and allover hopelessness. In the years to come cloning could become more common in the horse industry. As Ryan Bell states in the article The Clone Age, When we clone we produce what we already have. (Bell Clone Age) Breeders must remember; too much of a good thing is still a bad thing. So here s the question is cloning good or bad. The first equine wasn t cloned until 2003. However, the first organism was cloned in 1928. Hans Spemann was the first person to create a clone, he cloned a frog. The most well known clone may have been Dolly the sheep. Dolly was born in 1996, that was the year cloning became more popular. (Bell Clone Age) Why clone? That s the question many breeders are asking. For breeding stock cloning could increase amounts of offspring. A clone could manage a breeding career from a horse so it could continue to show.Cloning could bring back beloved childhood horses or past champions. But is it worth the cost of $160,000? (Bell Clone Age) Many breeders are weary of cloning. Not only is cloning expensive but, according to the article Is Cloning Horses Ethical by M. Campbell, a few breed associations (including the thoroughbred association) don t even allow clones to be registered. These roadblocks may be the reason that worldwide only 100 to 200 horses are cloned per year. (Campbell) When cloning many people believe the product will be 100% the same as the original. Out of 20,000 genes only 13 are not the same as the original horse s genes. This is because the eggs needed to make a clone are usually taken from slaughterhouse mares.(Bell Clone Age) In the article Equine Cloning by Oliver Pynn the cloning process is explained. Mitochondrial DNA comes from the egg, and if the egg doesn t come from the original horse the clone is only 99.99935% the same. (Pynn) In the United States of America horse meat is not consumed.
