Essay On Student And Politics
Crafting an essay on the intersection of students and politics is undoubtedly a challenging task
that requires a delicate balance of objectivity, critical analysis, and a nuanced understanding of
both realms. The difficulty lies in navigating the multifaceted nature of student involvement in
politics, considering the diverse perspectives, and addressing the potential controversies
surrounding the topic.
One must grapple with the intricate dynamics of student engagement in political activities,
ranging from activism to formal political participation. The task becomes even more challenging
when attempting to capture the evolving nature of student-politics relationships, which may vary
across different cultural, social, and educational contexts.
Addressing the subject demands a deep dive into historical precedents, contemporary examples,
and potential future trajectories. It necessitates an exploration of the positive aspects of student
involvement in politics, such as fostering civic responsibility, and the potential drawbacks,
including the risk of undue influence or radicalization.
Moreover, the essay should navigate the fine line between encouraging political awareness
among students and acknowledging the potential pitfalls of excessive politicization within
educational institutions. Striking this balance requires a careful examination of the impact of
political affiliations on academic environments and the potential consequences for the overall
educational experience.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of students and politics is a formidable task that
demands a thorough understanding of the subject matter, a nuanced approach to various
perspectives, and an ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. Only through such a
comprehensive exploration can one hope to provide a holistic and insightful analysis of this
intricate relationship.

Analyzing Jon Stewart s Daily Show
4.After watching the Daily Show interview with Jim Cramer, I believe that Jon
Stewart s questions were fair as he was trying to get Cramer to confess CNBC s
faults during the financial crisis and his contributions to them. One instance of this
was Stewart calling out CNBC for creating an unrealistic image of the market by
covering up the embezzlement scandals and failing to expose the actions of those
behind it, despite their frequent interview appearances. I agree with Stewart in this
argument as CNBC put themselves in a tight corner by merely addressing the
situation and stating the obvious instead of taking action in order to preserve their
reputation as a financial expert . Cramer s responses illustrate this point as he admits
that while
What Is The Role Of Fate In Romeo And Juliet
A person is never completely in control of their life. There is always some type of
outside force, or fate, influencing a person s actions and decisions. The philosophy
of fate often relates to astrology, the belief that celestial bodies influence human
action. The characters in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare believe that fate
and the stars have absolute control over their lives and the actions they perform
during the play. Fate determines who lives and who dies throughout Romeo and
Juliet. While explaining events that are going to happen in the play, the Chorus
declares, From forth the fatal loins of these two foes A pair of star crossedlovers take
their life, Whose misadventured piteous overthrows Doth with their deathbury their...

While Romeo is in the Capulet tomb, he sees Juliet s dead body and says, For fear
of that I still will stay with thee And never from this palace of dim night Depart
again. Here, here will I remain With worms that are thy chambermaids. O, here
Will I set up my everlasting rest And shake the yoke of inauspicious stars From this
world wearied flesh! Eyes, look your last (5.3.106 112). Romeo thinks that he can
defy the stars by making a rash decision to kill himself. Sadly, Romeo does not
know that Juliet is alive, and his careless decision to kill himself is for nothing.
Similarly, Juliet makes an irrational decision to kill herself once she sees Romeo
laying next to her, dead. Juliet says, Yea, noise? Then I ll be brief. O happy dagger,
This is thy sheath. There rust and let me die (5.3.174 175). After seeing Romeo
dead, grief overcomes Juliet, and she decides to kill herself with Romeo s dagger.
Fate causes Juliet to do this because she would rather die than live without her
husband. This pair of quotes displays how fate forces the characters in Romeo and
Juliet to make reckless decisions, and act upon impulse rather than assess the
situation they are in, and then make a
The Postal System During The 19th Century
The postal system played a crucial role in national expansion. It facilitated expansion
into the West by creating an inexpensive, fast, convenient communication system.
Letters from early settlers provided information and boosterism to encourage
increased migration to the West, helped scattered families stay in touch and provide
assistance, assisted entrepreneurs in finding business opportunities, and made
possible regular commercial relationships between merchants in the west and
wholesalers and factories back east. The postal service likewise assisted the Army in
expanding control over the vast western territories. The widespread circulation of
important newspapers by mail, such as the New York Weekly Tribune, facilitated
coordination... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the Post Office expanded, difficulties were experienced due to a lack of
employees and transportation. The Post Office s employees at that time were still
subject to the so called spoils system, where faithful political supporters of the
executive branch were appointed to positions in the post office and other
government corporations as a reward for their patronage. These appointees rarely
had prior experience in postal service and mail delivery. This system of political
patronage was replaced in 1883, after passage of the Pendleton Civil Service
Reform Act.[19] Ten years before waterways were declared post roads in 1823, the
Post Office used steamboats to carry mail between post towns where no roads
existed.[citation needed] Once it became clear that the postal system in the United
States needed to expand across the entire country, the use of the railroad to
transport the mail was instituted in 1832, on one line in Pennsylvania.[20] All
railroads in the United States were designated as post routes, after passage of the
Act of July 7, 1838. Mail service by railroad increased rapidly thereafter.[21] ~

Essay Risks Associated with Operational Plans

2.1 Assess risks associated with operational plans and include contingency
agreements; Within the third sector the majority of funding that we receive is
restricted which limits where the money can be spent and means that it can only be
spent on the purpose for which it is assigned. With regards to the projects that I run

funding grant available. Two years ago when they know they would be opening the
grant up they published a time line which included consultations, bid submission
dates, interview dates, notification of successful bid dates and then the grant start
date. This allows us as an organisation to factor in the dates one for availability and
planning but also for factoring in the money for budget consideration knowing that
if we are successful we will receive more money which will be contributed to our
core costs which will have a positive impact on all other services. We find that all
external stakeholders will provide us with all future dates from the onset of a funding
opportunity.
2.3 Implement operation plan within own area of responsibility; The operational
plan that I have submitted is from my area of responsibility, this has been devised by
using the organisational strategy and working out my areas on responsibility. This
allows me to have an end goal and then I need to plan how to achieve it. Once this is
done I can work out a step by step plan of what needs to be done and by whom. This
is all added to the plan along with any other obligations that will arise like staff
supervision and appraisals and monitoring. I can then arrange the plan so that it is

Additionally, acquiring Atlantic Wellness as a client will help increase SNC s sales
significantly, but those increase sales does not come without a cost as the increase
sales will come at the sacrifice of inventory and accounts receivable. Sacrificing
inventory and accounts receivable is not a good deal for SNC because of their
current cash position as SNC must keep a minimum of $3 lakh on hand to meet
their company s operational needs. However, there is a positive lining for SNC as
the risk of inventory and accounts receivable could be balanced by negotiating a
profitable deal with merchant Ayurveda Natural.
IV. Limiting their Receivable Accounts Since Super Sports Centers account for
20% of SNC s sales figures, those receivable accounts takes the company
approximately 200 days to pay and those 200 days is well above the normal 90 day
average. To resolve this issue, SNC could drop Super Sports Centers and improve
their DSO number, but that come at a cost as SNC s sales would drop $2mm.
Phase 2 of SNC s Simulation (Years 2016 2018)
During phase two of the simulation, SNC was presented with three different
opportunities and those opportunities include:
I. Expansion of SNC s Online Presence Since SNC would like to expand their
operations into new retail markets its company was presented with an opportunity to
partner with Golden Years Nutracueticals so that they could reach a larger, more
diverse consumer base.From 2016 2018, this
Phospholipids Essay
Lipids are well known as essential constituents of living cells. Phospholipids, a class
of complex lipids, serves as the building blocks of almost all cellular membranes by
forming the lipid bilayer and thus maintains cell shape and integrity (Bollag, 2016).
Phospholipids are also rich sources of important cellular intermediates that plays role
in cell development, metabolism, and signaling (Hong et al., 2016). The composition
and content of phospholipids varies among different membranes and typically
changes during development and in response to different stress cues (Hong et al.,
2016). Similar to most eukaryotes, fungi also possesses phospholipid based plasma
membrane and intracellular organelles. The most abundant classes of phospholipids
found in fungi includes phosphatidylcholine (PC) and phosphatidylethanolamine (PE)
while phosphatidylserine (PS), phosphatidylinositol (PI), phosphatidylglycerol (PG),
diphosphatidylglycerol (cardiolipin), and lyso derivatives of PC and PE are found

cytoskeletal dynamics, homeostasis, membrane remodeling, microbial virulence,
nutrient acquisition, secretion and signal transduction (Kohler et al., 2006; Hong et al.,

Going back to the issue, is it right to abolish pork barrel? Following are some of the
arguments presented that support the abolition of PDAF. Legislators concede that
the PDAF is corruptible and has been corrupted through the years. (Crisologo, 2013
) It is because it served as a tool for bargaining or negotiation in different levels.
Such compromise exchange according to Tawanaka can exemplify the transaction
between the President who is dominant in budget making and implementation and
the congress in general legislation by using the PDAF to meet both party s needs.
Also, in the districts themselves, the PDAF is political. Congressmen have become
the charitable beacons to their followers, in spite of the legitimate needs of others.
The worst manifestation of this is when personal gain is involved and individuals
like Napoles provide the mechanism for this corruption. It also becomes a way to
fund political patronage, where the money is given to those who will ensure them
another term in government. (Crisologo, 2013 )With these, the objective to allocate
this fund only for public purposes was violated. Instead of fulfilling public s interests,
people s money went to corrupt politicians pockets. Concomitantly, some of our

Write An Essay On The Arctic Region
Arctic
The Arctic region has a very harsh climate with very short cool summers; while the
most northerly locations experience an extremely cold winter that lasts almost ten
months.
This climate region has an annual precipitation of 35 50 cm each year.
Precipitation is low because the Arctic Ocean and other bodies of water are frozen
for most of the year, and there is very little evaporation. This region includes most of
Nunavut as well as northern parts of the Northwest Territories and Quebec.
Pacific Maritime
The Pacific Maritime region lies along British Columbia s west coast and its border
with the Yukon Territory on the way to Alaska. The Pacific Ocean provides a
moderating effect to this maritime climate, which means the summers are cool and
the winters are mild. Precipitation along the coast is very high, with some area

In winter, there is dry arctic air that makes the temperature well below freezing, and

The Is Representative Of A. Y Gasset s The
Dehumanization...
1) Oliverio Girondo s poetry is representative of a new style of art encompassed in
JosГ© Ortega y Gasset s The Dehumanization of Art. Aesthetics no longer conform
to the traditional classical style but instead, champions a futurist type meant to
bypass the limitations of rationale in a trivial and playful nature likened to sport.
Girondo clearly breaks from the platonic ideals of beauty and delves into the
aesthetics of the grotesque by using antipoetic language, which sublimes the
abject. This is made obvious early in Scarecrow other anomalies as he writes that
he couldn t care less if women have breasts like fresh magnolias or withered figs,
skin smooth as a peach or rough as sand paper. [...] breath of an aphrodisiac or the
breath of an insecticide. (Girondo 7). Girondo often uses ludic and vulgar
language and has a clear objective of relegating humans to beasts or objects, for
example, he describes May a spider s foot sprout from each of your pores, [...] may
all the inhabitants of the city mistake you for a urinal. [...] May your family amuse
itself deforming your bone structure, so that mirrors, looking at you, commit suicide
out of sheer repugnance (Girondo 75). Girondo s scarecrow calligram illustrates the
new style of art masterfully as he creates an extended metaphor to ridicule bourgeois
ideals, literarily from head to toe intended to scare bourgeois aesthetics, instead of
accustomed crows. Girondo ultimately describes that a book should be put together
like a
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
A hero is someone who is looked up to for their admirable qualities. Heroes come in
all different shapes and sizes and we all have them, whether they are police
officers, firefighters, soldiers, or even family members. When we were little, our
idea of a hero was a bit different, we tended to look up to fictional superheroes such
as superman, batman, and the x men. We all loved to see them kick their enemies
butts episode after episode or page after page in a comic book. These individuals
were great inspirations to kids all around the world. But many of us forget, that not
all heroes work alone, some work as a group. The group of heroes that I always used
to aspire to emulate was the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Jason, Billy, Trini,

Similarities And Differences Between Summer And Winter
Summer and winter are both very nice seasons. Many people like both of these
seasons, but really these two seasons have nothing in common. Winter is the season
that has more activities and can do more of the summer activities making it better.
They have different clothing and different amounts of clothing, they both have
animals, but this is also different in each season, they have different foods and
different temperature of foods and they also have different activities that adapt to the
type of weather in these seasons.
The difference in clothing is a really big difference in types of cloths but also in the
amount of cloths. In the summer, people were cloths that are usually one layer at
most. These clothes usually consist of shorts and tank tops or t shirts. In the winter
people wear clothes that are a lot more heavily coated. In the winter people tend to
wear a t shirt underneath a sweater. This is because the winter can be warmer than
usual and that is when you take off your sweater. Then usually people wear a big,
big coats when it starts colder. When you get cold than you can always add layers.
In the summer you only can take off so many clothes. When kids go outside, then
they also will use their snow pants when they play in the snow. In the summer
people usually where there flip flops and other things like that which could also
include runners. In the winter people wear boots and this will keep your feet very
warm compared to what you would were in the summer.
Cloning Bad
Is cloning bad or good for us? According to NIH website, it states there are three
different types of artificial cloning: gene cloning, reproductive cloning and
therapeutic cloning. In our biology textbook it states that cloning makes an identical
copy of a gene. Gene cloning replicates genes and DNA segments. Reproductive
cloningmakes a duplication of an animal. Therapeutic cloning makes embryonic
stem cells to help produce tissues to restore damaged or diseased tissues. I believe
that cloning technology can help resolve many things, we would be able to learn and
develop more things that could help the world.
An example of reproductive cloning is Dolly the sheep. She was the first mammal
to be cloned from an adult cell, which is much more difficult to clone from. She
lived to be only 6 years old due to arthritis. They took an udder cell from a six year
old Finn Dorset white sheep. They changed the growth medium to keep the udder
cell alive but it stopped them from expanding. According to the article Cloning Dolly
The Sheep ,they injected the cell into an unfertilised egg cell and made the cells fuse
by using electrical pulses. Therefore, they moved the DNA of the donor animal s ...

According to the website Greengarage, it stated the artificial interference is wrong
and can lead to a domino effect, other attributes of life could be altered and have a
negative result. This shows that cloning could have a domino effect in nature, if we
change one thing it could change everything; the results it could be bad. Furthermore
it states human DNA can be contaminated, and the chances of success are very rare.
This shows that many things could go wrong during cloning and we don t know if
we would be able to solve the problem. Thus, cloning also has disadvantages like
interfering with nature and resulting in many

Carl Friedrich Gauss (1777 1855)
Introduction: Carl Friedrich Gauss is considered one of the greatest mathematicians
of all time. He is a creator in the logical mathematical domain as he contributed many
ideas to the fields of mathematics, astronomy, and physics. Being a math education
major, I have come into contact with Gauss work quite a few times. He contributed
greatly to the different areas of mathematics like linear algebra, calculus, and number

What makes this more amazing is that nobody had taught him arithmetic. He
picked it up on his own. Although Gauss showed great intelligence, his father
refused to send him to school. His family was very poor as his father worked as a
gardener, canal tender, and bricklayer (Bell 218). His dad wanted his son to follow
in the family s footsteps and work as a laborer. However, his mother intervened and
sent him to school when he was seven. His teacher, BГјttner, was a cold hearted
teacher who loved proving to his students how ignorant they were (Bell 221). At the
age of ten, Gauss discovered a formula that would change his future forever. BГјttner
asked his students to add up the numbers between one and a hundred. He figured this
would keep his students busy all day. However, Gauss noticed a pattern. Without
anyone showing him the formula [n(n+1)]/2, Gauss derived it and solved the
problem quickly (Burton 510). BГјttner was so impressed by this that he bought
Gauss a math book and had his assistant, Johann Bartels, work with the young boy
(Bell 222). The friendship that developed between Bartels and Gauss led Bartels to
introduce Gauss to Carl Wilhelm Ferdinand, the Duke of Brunswick (Bell 224). The
Duke ended up paying for Gauss to continue his education at Caroline College, which
was actually a preparatory school, and then

Mexico did have the power to govern more territory and had fair laws and a treaty

Failure Of The Berlin Blockade
As one of the crucial points of the Cold War, the Berlin Blockade of the Soviets and
the Berlin Airlift of the Allies displayed failure in Soviet aggression in contrast
with the success achieved by the peace seeking Western Allies. The Berlin Blockade
of the East Germans effectively blocked the Western Allies railway, road, and canal
access to the Berlin sectors under Western control. As a direct siege on half of Berlin,
the Allies came to this problem with an ingenious solution an airlift. A little under
four hundred thousand tons of food, coal, and supplies were flown over the East
German sectors and into West Berlin. Initially, the Soviets hoped the Allies would
find the airlift too expensive, and would altogether abandon their sectors in Berlin;
however, the contrary happened, and the airlift proved a great success, with the
Berliners receiving an average calorie amount higher than the UK food rationing
system provided. Lasting for a little less than a year, the airlift kept Western
presence in Berlin, as well as displaying Western cooperation and advancement.
Soviet expectations behind the Blockade were reversed in the success of the Airlift,
seeking to expel Western presence from Berlin they attempted to lay siege, however
this obstacle was quickly overcome and the Blockade came nothing close to what the
Airlift had accomplished.
Similarly, the construction of the Berlin Wallduring the Berlin Crisis revealed Soviet
flaws and shortcomings in their occupation of
Roswell Conspiracy
What really happened in Roswell?
For more than 60 years, the debate between reality and conspiracy has raged on
with the concept of aliens in the center(History.com Staff). In Roswell, New
Mexico in 1947 what is believed by conspiracy theorists to be a flying saucer was
found in a rancher s sheep pasture. The idea that exterrestrial life could possibly
exist may seem out of this world to some. But, to an entire town of people, the idea
is not as far fetched.
So, what are aliens? Aliens are exterrestrial beings that allegedly live in outer space
and did not originate from Earth. Outer space is incomprehensibly massive. The
galaxy in which human beings live is referred to as the Milky Way, and there are an
estimated 100 billion planets in that one galaxy alone(SPACE.com Staff). Seth
Shostak, an American astronomer and a Senior Astronomer for the SETI Institute,

Within A Dream Argument
Edgar Allen Poe, a poet whose sanity was often debated, wrote the following poem,
which questioned the very nature of reality itself: A Dream within a Dream . Each
of the two stanzas illustrates a one sided conversation with two subtly differentiated
audiences. The first seems to be an argumentative statement of which the speaker is
presenting to someone lacking his worldview, who likely regards the speaker as less
than sane. Although, despite his assertions, the speaker himself does not seem to
comprehend the magnitude of their content until the second stanza, where he is
depicted to be symbolically losing his grasp on material reality. Knowing this, A
Dream within a Dream can be appreciated as an expression of Poe s philosophical
solipsism,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This shift, although somewhat prominent in the transition of stanzas, is clearly
disclosed with the repetition of the phrase at the end of each. With the simple
addition of one word, the nearly identical couplet is transformed from an
argumentative statement to an existential question, weighted with solipsistic despair.
Although he was previously aware of his own worldview, it was not until he argued
for its sake that he realized the emotional magnitude of such philosophy. The second
stanza serves as an avenue of self revelation for the speaker, suddenly frantic for
material fulfillment in his existence devoid of

leaves just short of six months for me to plan for the change. A review of author
Raffi Khatchadourian s article, The Kill Company, published in The New Yorker
on July 6, 2009 is necessary for background in writing this paper, however; the
timeframe assumed for the purpose of writing this essay is June 2004. To this end, it
must also be assumed that the author does not benefit from the knowledge gained by
reading most of the information in Khatchadourian s article. My goal is to set and
maintain an effective, ethical command climate through investigation, self education,
and unit wide professional military education. With the knowledge that General
Chiarelli felt Colonel Steele s ...acts, omissions, and personal example have created
a command climate where irresponsible behavior appears to have been allowed to
go unchecked, it is time for change. Colonel Steele s military reputation yields a
loyal following of soldiers after returning from combat with less than half the amount
of casualties felt by former commands operating in the same area of operations in
Iraq, in large part due to his leadership style. The redeeming qualities of his methods
are largely tactical and are to be continued under my command conducting the intense

Stereotypes In High School
High school is full of a variety of types of people, who can all be labeled into
certain groups or stereotypes. High school can be an amazing time for people, just
as easily as it could be a terrible time for people. It s quite odd how everyone goes to
the same school, and mostly attend the same courses, yet they are significantly
different from one another. Every school has the classic jocks, nerds, partiers/stoners,
etc., but it appears our generation has created several new stereotypes. With students
spending approximately 35 hours a week at school, it is easy for one another to label
each other, and determine who they fit in with.
The most common stereotype in Spring Lake is the Preppy Rich Kid. The Preppy
part of these kids is that they love to wear a perfectly matching outfit; including
their colorful Polo Shirts/t shirts, colorful short shorts, matching socks, with a
matching pair of boat shoes/skate shoes. The Rich part of these kids is that they
live in a big house on the water, their parents have high paying jobs, and their
parents will buy them whatever they desire. These kids typically drive an
expensive foreign car, usually blaring rap music out of their car s subwoofer
everyday to school. Once they have arrived at school, most of them have a very
enjoyable day. For the most part, they have a perfect life, including getting all the
girls/boys, receiving good grades, being attractive, and being a phenomenal athlete.
These kids are likable people, and
Christmas Carol Movie Vs Book
The book and movie titled A Christmas Carol have many similarities. They also have
many differences. The main story takes place during Christmas time in each version
and also has a common character of Ebenezer Scrooge. One of the differences
between the versions include Ebenezer knowing more about Bob Cratchit in the
movie than in the original book. A Christmas Carolbook was written by Charles
Dickensin 1843 but the movie was a 1938 American film adaptation of Charles
Dickens work.
Ebenezer Scrooge is an elderly miser who learns the mistake of his ways on
Christmas Eve after he was visited by four spirits. These spirits include: Jacob
Marley who was Scrooge s past business partner but is now dead, and the spirits of

Matt Bollero is the director of scouting for the Milwaukee Bucks after accepting the
position in the summer of 2017. Before that he was a pro personnel scout for the
Minnesota Timberwolves, and he graduated from DePauw University in 2008 with a
bachelor s degree in kinesiology. The Bucks are a professional basketballteam and a
member of the National Basketball Association(NBA) after being founded as an
expansion team in 1968. The team currently has one of the top ten players in the

involved with the game?
5. Is the person willing to sacrifice to achieve their goal?
The last quality of a scout is usually the hardest to come by as one might guess
because of being on the road for so long. It is tough to keep a family in this job
because of time commitments, and the starting pay can be quite low. Scouts
usually report to the director of scouting, and then the director reports to upper
management such as the general manager, assistant general manager, vice
president of global scouting, and director of strategy. It is also possible that scouts
and the director will also be heavily involved with coaches within the organization.
The information gathered will help teams in many ways. It allows them to draft
the best possible player and to get the best free agents for the right price, but it
helps them prepare for games against opposing teams. These three parts are vital
when it comes to winning in the present but also in future years. Matt said that the
most exciting part about his job was being able to win and being such a big part of
the process. Matt gave some advice to me that would be good for any college
student looking to get this job or a similar one. Get involved in the basketball career
field as soon as possible doing as much as possible. Experience is everything in this
business. If he had done anything different he would have
The Fundamentals Of Caregiving
In the story, The Fundamentals of Caregiving, a man named Ben narrates the story
of the training he underwent to become a caregiver. His first potential client was
Trevor Conklin, who was a nineteen year old with either MS or ALS, and he had to
be in a wheelchair forever. Trevor s mom, Elsa, met Ben, who got the job. As he met
Trevor, he was very shy until his mother said that he likes girls. After Trevor was
diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, his father left him. Ben discusses
how Trev was in his little bubble not taking risks and only maintaining a simple
routine of eating waffles and watching the weather channel for 3 hours a day. Later in
the story, Forest, Ben s best friend, invites him to the bar to hang out. Everyone in...

Art Therapy For People With Suicide Essay
Populations and Setting: Art Therapy for People with Suicide
According to Suicide Statistics AFSP (2015), approximately 44.193 people die
because of committing suicide every year. Suicide is one of the common leading
causes of death in the United States. The age adjusted suicide rate is 13.26 people
per 100,000 population in a year. Men have a suicide rate 3.5 times higher than
women. There are 121 people who commit suicide on average per a day. Suicide
rate is highest in the middle age, especially white male. In 2015, the highest suicide

Pros And Cons Of A Wok
The quick frying action needed for a tasty, nicely flavored and simple stir fry can be
gotten from using a wok. If you don t know what a wok pan is, a wok is a pan with a
hemispherical shape that allows for easy distribution of heat. A wok helps to
preserve the taste of food and it essentially needs only very little oil is needed.
Woks are quite beautiful pieces and have a lot of history as they are regarded as a
pillar of Chinese kitchens. Apart from the fact that Woks perform exceptionally well
for boiling liquids, poaching, braizing tough cuts of meat, smoking food, and deep
frying fried foods, one of its major hallmarks is that it usually has a totally hot
cooking surface. This is important for quick frying and inducing flavor of the

Maintaining your wok
It s always advisable to wash your wok with hot water and a sponge after use. Don
t worry if the wok is a bit oily after washing as this prevents it from rusting and even
helps to season it. Make sure to never use scouring powder to wash your wok.
Whenever you notice your wok starts getting sticky, cracked and beat about four
eggs in the wok. The fat in the egg is a natural lubricant so make sure to Twirl the
beaten eggs and allow it to cover as much of the surface of the wok as possible.

Marissa Mayer s Leadership Style
Every leader has a leadership style they feel is most effective in order to get the job
done. In most cases employees fail to see the leader s vision or just simply do not
agree with it. It s up to the leader to understand and recognize when their leadership
style is no longer affecting change or no longer getting the productivity out of their

Utopia and Il Muqaddimah Essay
Utopia and Il Muqaddimah both show the importance of families and social
groups in the civilization they live in. Utopian families all have an equal role in
the cities they live in; they are a microcosm of their city and its objective to
survive; however, in Il Muqaddimah the subjects have the responsibility to help the
ruler prosper. Utopians work and in return share what they earn, while subjects work
for their survival. Utopians all have an equal work load and subjects hardships
depend on their social status both situations lead to prosperity. Utopians work for the

Utopians have balance and this causes harmony, while subjects and rulers must
know and not step out of their roles because it would lead to downfall. Utopians all
have an equal work load this is very common in families; the husband works and
brings in money while the wife stays home and keeps the house and children in
order, the children provide a job for the wife and in time will help their mother.
This is all equal work because the without the husband there would be no food,
without the wife the house would become chaotic, and without children the wife
would have nothing to keep her busy which results in laziness and no prosper, if all
those who work away at pointless tasks and, together with them, that whole crowd
of lazy, languid idlers, if they all were put to work and useful work at that you can
easily see how little time would be enough to produce all thee goods required for
human needs (More 1711). This highlights the importance of work, without everyone
pulling their own weight others suffer and must work twice as hard instead of
harmonically. Rulers have an important job that promises prosperity to their territory.
This job requires them to provide hope to subjects, because without hope people
began to fall apart and no longer desire the will to succeed

The Asperger Syndrome (RTT)
About Asperger Syndrome
The disorder is named after Hans Asperger, a Viennese pediatrician who, in 1944,
first described a set of behavior patterns apparent in some of his patients, mostly
males. Asperger noticed that although these boys had normal intelligence and
language development, they had severely impaired social skills, were unable to
communicate effectively with others, and had poor coordination.
According to the Asperger Syndrome Coalition of the United States, the onset of AS
may be later than what is typical in autism or at least it is recognized later. Many kids
are diagnosed after age 3, with most diagnosed between the ages of 5 and 9.

Onset occurs between 6 and 18 months of age.[9] During this time there are subtle
developmental deviations and early indicators of Rett syndrome. A period of
developmental stagnation is followed by developmental regression where language
and motor milestones regress, purposeful hand use is lost, and acquired deceleration
in the rate of head growth (resulting in microcephaly in some) is seen. Hand
stereotypes are typical, and breathing irregularities such as hyperventilation,
breathholding, or sighing are seen in many. Early on, autistic like behavior may be
seen. The infant with Rett syndrome often avoids detection until 6 18 months, owing
to a relatively normal appearance and some developmental progress. However,
closer scrutiny reveals disturbance of the normal spontaneous limb and body
movements that are thought to be regulated in the brainstem. The brief period of
developmental progress is followed by stagnation and regression of previously
acquired skills. During regression, some features are similar to those of autism. It is,
hence, easy to mistakenly diagnose Rett syndrome for

Functionalism And Emile Durkheim s Views On Society
Sociology constantly debates how society works. Sociology cannot be proven right
or wrong but on the other hand, debated. Every sociologist is entitled to their
opinion on the way society forms, works, and influences a specific people of a
culture. This is why there are many different sociological perspectives formed from
different sociologists that all have different theories on how society works. The
founding fathers of sociologydeveloped the three main perspectives: Functionalism,
symbolic interactionism, or conflict. In short, the conflict perspective was developed
by Karl Marx and he thought that society was a capitalist system. Everyone in society
craves power and manipulate others in order to reach power. (Mooney, Knox,
Schacht, 2007) Then, symbolic interactionism also known as micro perspective, is
the theory that our daily interactions through small groups are symbolized and make
up societal norms and expectations that create society. Lastly, functionalism is the
theory that everything in society is connected and needs to balance in order to
function properly. Functionalism is the correct perspective in sociology on topics of
education, religion and family.
Education
Emile Durkheim had a very large part in developing the theories and explanations for
the functionalist perspective of sociology. Durkheim believed that the public
education system could work but only if both student and instructor understood and
followed his perspective on education. First, the

In the end, the pricing is the key factor to being successful. I will need to come up
with a competitive price that will be able to compete but also have high enough
margins to where we can make it. 3. Analysis: The analysis section will require me
to evaluate each of the strategic options that we might have. I am going to layout
the pros and cons for: heavy users, all energy drink users and the adult segment, as
shown below in the appendices as figure 1 1. Single serve energy beverage drink
retail prices have generally settled at roughly $2.00 per single serve package,
regardless of size. As a consequence, larger single serve packages are priced lower
on a per ounce basis than smaller packages. Shown in figure 1 2, it shows that our
drink Rush NRG will need to come down a little bit in prices to be competitive and
make margins meet. The 16 ounce size, representing about 50 percent of case sales
in convenience stores, has posted the fastest growth. Multi packs represent a small
portion of case sales and typically are marketed through supermarkets and mass
merchandisers. When coming to choose what version you want to make, it is
obvious that regular energy beverages have an 80 percent share of the market;
sugar free has 20 percent. Deciding what type of distribution to use between off
premise and on premise to me is a no brainer. Convenience stores accounted for 74
percent of off premise retail dollar sales. They also have a very high gross

sight. Teresa sued the school for negligence, as well as Heidy. However, it was
decided by the court that Heidy was expected, as standard, to act like a 15 years old

he would have died if the breach was or was not present, as their breach did not

Remoteness of damage consists in establishing whether the offender is liable for only

However, Markowitz portfolio allocation theory is highly criticised, because the final
portfolios are not adequately diversified. This model was applied to a South African

It was also discovered in a Bowen article, that Markowitz allocation portfolio theory

Introduction: Iron is an essential element in the human body. It can be found in the

The main purpose of iron is to transfer oxygen within the body. To gain iron,
humans must consume a diet that consist abundantly of iron such as leaf

Because synthesis requires multiple steps to make a desired reaction, the yield is
lower than other synthesis. On the first day, if the substances have a significant
amount of precipitate, then the substance will require a greater number of drops of

Tim Burton Research Paper
Tim Burton has been making a name for himself in Hollywood for 30 years. Rotten
Tomatoes claims he has become one of the most successful directors in his own right
by presenting filmgoers with an ever growing list of films that celebrate the strange
and macabre. While many people think of Tim Burton movies as stop motion
animation, there are so many more. Over the years, he has built up quite a resume,
but the following ten films remain favorites among fans and critics alike, most of
which are not animated.
Big Fish
This movie is an adaption of the novel of the same name which follows the strained
relationship between a father and son. The Top Tens calls the film

Rotten Tomatoes claims that while the vocal performances fell short, Burton s
talents were able to turn the film into a story that is as unsettling as it is riveting.
The Top Tens describes it as a combination of dark comedy, revenge, and violence all
wrapped up in song.
Frankenweenie
Thirty years ago, Burton created Frankenweenie as a short film for Disney which
got him fired. In 2012, he saw his short film come to life as a feature length stop
motion animation, thanks to the same studio. Rotten Tomatoes describes the movie
as a critical and commercial hit that took the original concept young scientist brings
his deceased pooch back to life, with unpredictable results and expanded it to tell the
story of what might happen if an entire town wanted to take advantage of his gifts.
Pee Wee s Big Adventure
The film is described by Rotten Tomatoes as the absurd adventures of a bow tie
wearing man child who hitchhikes across the country in search of his stolen bike,
and by The Top Tens as simply hilarious. The movie is considered to be the one that
launched Burton s career, and it has since become a cult
Making A Murderer, Directed By Laura Ricciardi And
Moira...
Steven Avery, a family man, a victim of injustice and an accused murderer. One
may have reasoned that his murder conviction was a crime of passion, due to the
injustice Steven suffered from his 1985 false conviction of rape and assault, but that
may have been before his story caught national attention. A documentary, Making a
Murderer , directed by Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, arose from his story s
infamy. With this documentary came numerous questions as to Avery s possible
innocence, but above all else answers that shed light on a possibly corrupt justice
system that appears intent on framing Steven Avery for Teresa Halbach s murder
.
Making a Murderer effectively portrays a message of the injustice of Steven Avery s
murder convictionand possible corruption within the Manitowoc s justice system
through the use of footage and accounts from people who were involved with his
conviction.
Making a Murderer starts with Avery s exoneration of the conviction of rape and
assault of Penny Beerntsen. Consistently, Steven Avery asserted that he was
innocent and that he had an alibi. Regardless of his assertions he spent 18 years, of
a 32 year sentence, in prison before he was finally found innocent by DNA evidence
and was released. Reasonably, Avery pursued a $36 million lawsuit against the
Manitowoc County for his wrongful conviction. Consequently, this lawsuit made
Avery an enemy of the county. When Teresa Halbach, an AutoTrader magazine
photographer, was reported
A Graveyard in Asheville
For this journal review, I have decided to do a graveyard in Asheville which is very
well known. The cemetery Riverside Cemetery has existed since 1885 and was built
by the Asheville Cemetery Company and in 1952 was sold to the City of Asheville.
For this review I ll be focusing on the various styles of graves seen throughout the
cemetery, while also emphasizing the meaning of the different artistic symbols seen.
I ll also make sure to note the significant graves and mausoleums that are home to
some of the most descriptive artwork. The graveyard is home to more than 14,000
graves some of which carry important meanings or information. I believe graveyards
are sacred art museums and while walking through one provides a much different
experience, some similarities are important for us to see.
The City of Asheville s Riverside Cemetery is located in Montford, less than 2
miles from downtown. It provides over 87 acres of grounds and is a protected tree
area. Today the area operates under the City of Asheville Parks, Recreation and
Cultural Arts Department. Looking through the various headstones, I can see many
similarities among the different symbols. Looking past just the symbols we can see
a level of intricate artwork laid down by the art of hand carving and engraving. Hand
carving and engraving headstones is an ancient practice in which artists and
craftsmen have formed extraordinary memorials from pieces of raw stone.
The craft of engraving headstones over time
Community Observation Paper
Conclusion
In review of the data collected for this assignment, I have gained greater insight into
the population I serve. Much of the data simply reinforced my assumptions, but
others; like the information on race, has given me a better understanding about the
population I serve and has given me greater insight into the social tension and
conflict that appears to be at the forefront of concerns for many of my students
(Moore, Bagin Gallagher, 2013, p.18). Race is always an issue for many of my
students. After reviewing the census data I noticed that most of the population
identifies themselves as one race, and the racial divide is almost 50/50 between
blacks and whites. There is also a constant reference to skin color among ... Show

St. Louis city is home to several outstanding hospitals and universities. In fact, BJC
healthcare is the largest employer in St. Louis, employing almost 25,000 people
(St. louis regional chamber, 2013). According to the 2007 2011Census, the average
household income for St. Louis city is, however, $33,652. I believe that it is safe
to assume that the majority of the individuals who live in the city do not hold
many the high paying jobs at this institution. If I look at the community through
the eyes of my students, I would probably equate success with being white as well,
simply because the majority of individuals I see in positions of success are
Caucasian. The campus of St. Louis University and Washington University are
flooded with a Caucasian majority. The Doctors and Nurses at BJC may not all be
Caucasian, but they are certainly not African American. Even at my school, the
majority of the teachers are Caucasian. In my district, it appears that the best High
Schools have the fewest number of African American teachers. I am sure that this
model holds true for elementary and middle schools within the district as well. Also,
I know of very few teachers who actually live within the boundaries of the School
District. An analysis of average household income by race, could offer a

Essay On Student And Politics.pdf

  • 1. Essay On Student And Politics Crafting an essay on the intersection of students and politics is undoubtedly a challenging task that requires a delicate balance of objectivity, critical analysis, and a nuanced understanding of both realms. The difficulty lies in navigating the multifaceted nature of student involvement in politics, considering the diverse perspectives, and addressing the potential controversies surrounding the topic. One must grapple with the intricate dynamics of student engagement in political activities, ranging from activism to formal political participation. The task becomes even more challenging when attempting to capture the evolving nature of student-politics relationships, which may vary across different cultural, social, and educational contexts. Addressing the subject demands a deep dive into historical precedents, contemporary examples, and potential future trajectories. It necessitates an exploration of the positive aspects of student involvement in politics, such as fostering civic responsibility, and the potential drawbacks, including the risk of undue influence or radicalization. Moreover, the essay should navigate the fine line between encouraging political awareness among students and acknowledging the potential pitfalls of excessive politicization within educational institutions. Striking this balance requires a careful examination of the impact of political affiliations on academic environments and the potential consequences for the overall educational experience. In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of students and politics is a formidable task that demands a thorough understanding of the subject matter, a nuanced approach to various perspectives, and an ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. Only through such a comprehensive exploration can one hope to provide a holistic and insightful analysis of this intricate relationship. • 2. Analyzing Jon Stewart s Daily Show 4.After watching the Daily Show interview with Jim Cramer, I believe that Jon Stewart s questions were fair as he was trying to get Cramer to confess CNBC s faults during the financial crisis and his contributions to them. One instance of this was Stewart calling out CNBC for creating an unrealistic image of the market by covering up the embezzlement scandals and failing to expose the actions of those behind it, despite their frequent interview appearances. I agree with Stewart in this argument as CNBC put themselves in a tight corner by merely addressing the situation and stating the obvious instead of taking action in order to preserve their reputation as a financial expert . Cramer s responses illustrate this point as he admits that while
  • 3. What Is The Role Of Fate In Romeo And Juliet A person is never completely in control of their life. There is always some type of outside force, or fate, influencing a person s actions and decisions. The philosophy of fate often relates to astrology, the belief that celestial bodies influence human action. The characters in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare believe that fate and the stars have absolute control over their lives and the actions they perform during the play. Fate determines who lives and who dies throughout Romeo and Juliet. Sadly, Romeo does not know that Juliet is alive, and his careless decision to kill himself is for nothing. It facilitated expansion into the West by creating an inexpensive, fast, convenient communication system. Letters from early settlers provided information and boosterism to encourage increased migration to the West, helped scattered families stay in touch and provide assistance, assisted entrepreneurs in finding business opportunities, and made possible regular commercial relationships between merchants in the west and wholesalers and factories back east. As the Post Office expanded, difficulties were experienced due to a lack of employees and transportation. The Post Office s employees at that time were still subject to the so called spoils system, where faithful political supporters of the executive branch were appointed to positions in the post office and other government corporations as a reward for their patronage. These appointees rarely had prior experience in postal service and mail delivery. This system of political patronage was replaced in 1883, after passage of the Pendleton Civil Service Reform Act.[19] Ten years before waterways were declared post roads in 1823, the Post Office used steamboats to carry mail between post towns where no roads existed.[citation needed] Once it became clear that the postal system in the United States needed to expand across the entire country, the use of the railroad to transport the mail was instituted in 1832, on one line in Pennsylvania.[20] All railroads in the United States were designated as post routes, after passage of the Act of July 7, 1838. Mail service by railroad increased rapidly thereafter.[21] ~ Benjamin Franklin ~ George Washington ~ The First U.S. Postage Stamps Issued 1847 The first stamp issues were authorized by an act of Congress and approved on March 3, 1847.[22] The earliest known use of the Franklin 5Вў is July 7, 1847, while the earliest known use of the Washington 10Вў is July 2, 1847. Aesthetics no longer conform to the traditional classical style but instead, champions a futurist type meant to bypass the limitations of rationale in a trivial and playful nature likened to sport. Girondo clearly breaks from the platonic ideals of beauty and delves into the aesthetics of the grotesque by using antipoetic language, which sublimes the abject. This is made obvious early in Scarecrow other anomalies as he writes that he couldn t care less if women have breasts like fresh magnolias or withered figs, skin smooth as a peach or rough as sand paper. [...] May your family amuse itself deforming your bone structure, so that mirrors, looking at you, commit suicide out of sheer repugnance (Girondo 75). Girondo s scarecrow calligram illustrates the new style of art masterfully as he creates an extended metaphor to ridicule bourgeois ideals, literarily from head to toe intended to scare bourgeois aesthetics, instead of accustomed crows. Girondo ultimately describes that a book should be put together like a

It is also possible that scouts and the director will also be heavily involved with coaches within the organization. The information gathered will help teams in many ways. It allows them to draft the best possible player and to get the best free agents for the right price, but it helps them prepare for games against opposing teams. This is all equal work because the without the husband there would be no food, without the wife the house would become chaotic, and without children the wife would have nothing to keep her busy which results in laziness and no prosper, if all those who work away at pointless tasks and, together with them, that whole crowd of lazy, languid idlers, if they all were put to work and useful work at that you can easily see how little time would be enough to produce all thee goods required for human needs (More 1711). This job requires them to provide hope to subjects, because without hope people began to fall apart and no longer desire the will to succeed

  • 35. Functionalism And Emile Durkheim s Views On Society Sociology constantly debates how society works. Sociology cannot be proven right or wrong but on the other hand, debated. Every sociologist is entitled to their opinion on the way society forms, works, and influences a specific people of a culture. This is why there are many different sociological perspectives formed from different sociologists that all have different theories on how society works. The founding fathers of sociologydeveloped the three main perspectives: Functionalism, symbolic interactionism, or conflict. In short, the conflict perspective was developed by Karl Marx and he thought that society was a capitalist system. Everyone in society craves power and manipulate others in order to reach power. (Mooney, Knox, Schacht, 2007) Then, symbolic interactionism also known as micro perspective, is the theory that our daily interactions through small groups are symbolized and make up societal norms and expectations that create society. Lastly, functionalism is the theory that everything in society is connected and needs to balance in order to function properly. Functionalism is the correct perspective in sociology on topics of education, religion and family. Education Emile Durkheim had a very large part in developing the theories and explanations for the functionalist perspective of sociology. Durkheim believed that the public education system could work but only if both student and instructor understood and followed his perspective on education. First, the

I am going to layout the pros and cons for: heavy users, all energy drink users and the adult segment, as shown below in the appendices as figure 1 1. Single serve energy beverage drink retail prices have generally settled at roughly $2.00 per single serve package, regardless of size. As a consequence, larger single serve packages are priced lower on a per ounce basis than smaller packages. A documentary, Making a Murderer , directed by Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, arose from his story s infamy.
