He was Annoying, so I Threw Him in the Lake
On a late spring morning, within the bamboo forest, there s a lake with crystal
clear water. Today, I stop by the lake to grab a quick drink to quench my thirst. I
was staring at the water and lost in my thoughts until a high pitched squeaky voice
startled me, Are you a hybrid of polar bear and a black bear? I turn around and look
down, I come face to face with an ugly creature, which I assume is the owner of the

will focus on helping those women who are incarcerated and who have been involved

Four different thrips species; marigold thrips, Neohydatothrips samayunkur; western
flower thrips, Frankliniella occidentalis; tomato thrips, Frankliniella schultzei and
onion thrips, Thrips tabaci were recorded on marigold plants in the field. Tagetes
erecta L. was grown on the experimental farm, Giza governorate, Egypt. The survey
was carried out during mid April to late
July and from early September to late December 2013. Weekly samples were
randomly selected and examined for the presence of the different thrips species.
Identification of thrips species was based on morphological characters.
Neohydatothrips samayunkur recorded the highest average numbers in both
periods of the survey, from mid April to late July and from early September to late
December 2013 (189.5 and 143.6 individuals/plant, respectively), while the lowest
number was recorded for T. tabaci (4.6 and 5.9 individuals/plant). This is the first
report of N. samayunkur in Egypt. Description of the recorded species is given as

the telegraph machine could only transmit information for a little bit more than a

at Space Academy, at The Space and Rocket Center in Alabama, attending an
activity with other campers. In my group, there were three girls. I saw them all day
and night because I was in the same dorm as them. We got along pretty well, until I
got lost. Or maybe my group abandoned me... But let me step back a bit...
It was an ordinary day at Space Camp: wake up at 7, go brush my teeth, get dressed,
and li ne up. I went to the rides I usually go on with my group. We had fun, but then
it got really hot so we had to go inside. We went to a movie then we went to lunch. I
had an ordinarily fantastic lunch (like everyday), and my friends each had a

The teams can play up to thirteen games in their regular season and then they still
have playoffs. This is way too long. Some of the non conference games are not
matched by very many people so they could be removed without feelings hurt
(Schultz). This is important because having a super long season with games that
people do not really care about is not exciting. Shorting the regular season games
would allow for the fan to be more interested and would make an opportunity to add
more playoff games.
Although many would argue against College Football Playoffs, the reasons for the
playoffs far outway the reasons against. Opponents argue that the playoffs are a
more fair than computer polls(CNN). The playoffs are weak because the old
computer polls weren t random, they were based on points and game difficulty.
Someone could play crappy teams all year and look like number one but not be the
best team. This is weak because the playoffs are too short, it s biased, and it extends
the season too long. College Football Playoffs must be changed back to computer
