Religions Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of religions is undoubtedly a challenging endeavor. The intricacies
and diversity within religious beliefs and practices make it a complex subject to navigate. One
must tread carefully to ensure a balanced and unbiased perspective, considering the sensitivity
associated with matters of faith. The vast array of religions, each with its unique doctrines,
rituals, and histories, adds layers of complexity to the task.
To produce a comprehensive and well-informed essay, extensive research is imperative. This
involves delving into the doctrines of various religions, understanding their historical contexts,
and exploring the cultural and societal impacts of these belief systems. The challenge lies not
only in gathering information but also in presenting it coherently, respecting the nuances and
differences among different faiths.
Moreover, discussing religious topics requires a delicate handling of personal beliefs and biases.
Striking a balance between objectivity and empathy is essential to ensure that the essay fosters
understanding rather than discord. The potential for controversy and misunderstanding is high,
and a writer must be prepared to address differing perspectives with respect and open-
mindedness.
Crafting a religions essay also demands a thoughtful approach to ethical considerations.
Recognizing the potential for unintentional offense and taking steps to mitigate it is crucial. The
writer must navigate the fine line between academic exploration and the promotion of tolerance,
avoiding any inclination towards proselytizing or disrespect.
In conclusion, tackling a religions essay involves navigating through a maze of diverse beliefs,
historical intricacies, and cultural contexts. It requires meticulous research, sensitivity to various
perspectives, and a commitment to fostering understanding. Despite the difficulty, successfully
navigating these challenges can result in an enlightening and enriching exploration of the
multifaceted world of religions.

National Youth Organization Case Study
Jpz777 04/17/2013 Order # A2091736 1.) Understanding the composition of your
board and the history and culture of your organization, how would you go about
laying the groundwork for the significant changes you believe need to be
undertaken?Г‚ The process of engineering a fundamental shift in the way a
complex organization conducts its business is an enormous task, one which
requires both an ability to independently deliver management directives, and to
work collaboratively with key stakeholders who have a vested interest in the
organization s eventual restructuring. As the president of a large youth services
organization with over 100 chapters in local communities across America, it is my
responsibility to ensure that the organization s collective goals are prioritized
ahead of those devised by individual local chapters and their elected leaders. When
the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) was confronted with similar financial and
organizational difficulties in the early 1990 s, for example, Chief Scout Executive
Ben Love was forced to make several targeted cuts and consolidations to the BSA s
national apparatus, including the merging of six regional chapters into four, and a
reshuffling of leadership positions within the group s Relationships Division
(Thompson, 1992). Considering the construction of my organization s board, which
is comprised of 51 individuals, ranging from the 30 elected representatives from the
organization s largest chapters to the 21 business leaders
Why Was The Louisiana Purchase A Turning Point In The
19th...
In 1801, Thomas Jefferson was elected our third president. Thomas was president
of thirteen of the original states. In May of 1805 Thomas sent Louis and Clark on
their famous expedition we know of today as the Corps of Discovery. Louis, Clark
and his crew journeyed for 2 years. They came back September 23, 1806. Before
Thomas made a big change in the 19th century the Mississippi river separated the
eastern territory from the northern territory which was owned by the French. In the

Louis and Clark were sent out to explore the new land, to see what it was like out
in the unexplored land. The Corps of Discovery left in May 1804 and didn t come
back until September 1806. Within those two years Louis, Clark and their men, had
encountered with Native Americans. This is a really important deal because the
natives had helped Louis and Clark on their journey. Sacajawea helped them with
paths, directions, and interacting with other Indians. If Louis and Clark never had
encounters with the natives than they would have never found their way back
home. If they didn t return home on one would know if it was safe land to live on,
or bad land to live on. Ever since they explored the land that Jefferson bought, more
people went out and explored, there were fur trapper s mountain men and many
different types of people that had went out and explored after Louis and Clark
returned. So the point on why it was a turning point, is because they made
interactions with the Native Americans, and the natives helped explore the new
Research On Cognitive Affective Processes
Intersubjectivity refers to the shared understanding between individuals (Göncü,
1993). Research shows cognitive affective processes help to develop intersubjectivity
(Tronick Cohn, 1989). Similarly, in psychotherapeutic relationships, cognitive
affective processes are the building blocks to the therapeutic alliance. A
psychotherapeutic alliance constitutes the shared client psychotherapist relationship
marked by mutual respect, caring and shared understanding of therapeutic goals. If
intersubjectivityis nurtured in the client psychotherapist relationship, this can lead to
increased mutual understanding and goal achievement (as defined by the client) in
psychotherapy. In order to show that psychotherapeutic alliances can be fortified by
applying intersubjectivity to psychotherapeutic relationships, this paper is divided
into four parts. First the literature review opens with the origin and definition of
intersubjectivity, including sections on communication, affect, prolepsis and zone of
proximal development (ZPD). The second section will look at applications to
psychotherapy. The third section will offer implications to the field and finally
concluding remarks will close with societal shifts that must be made to foster
intersubjectivity in psychotherapy.

Pakistan And The Climate Of Pakistan
Pakistan is located in the temperate area on the planet. The climate of Pakistan is
generally divided by two main seasons of cold winter and hot summer. Pakistan has a
huge variation among extremes of the temperature. A little rainfall also takes place in
Pakistan s different parts of the country. Pakistan has four seasons; winter, summer,
spring and autumn. The winter seasonor cool winter starts from December and ends in
February, the dry spring starts from march through may, the summer or rainy season
starts from June till the end of September. Pakistanalso faces the monsoon period in
the month of October and November. The duration of above mentioned seasons
depends on the locations of regions. Pakistan has many regions, where snow can be
seen in the months of December and January. North of the Azad Kashmir, Gilgit
Baltistan, Northern Punjab, Northern half of Khyber pakhtoon Khwa and some
regions of Baluchistan are usually covered with snow in the winter season. Pakistan
is always hotter in the months of June and July. The weather of Pakistan is getting
hotter as compared to old days. In Wikipedia I studied an article that says: Pakistan
has recorded on 26th may 2010, one of the highest temperaturein the world, which
was 53.5 degree centigrade (128.3 F). It is not only the hottest temperature that is
recorded in Pakistan, but hottest as well as in the continent of Asia . Different parts
of Pakistan have its own temperature. The temperature at the Baluchistan Plateau is
Who Is The Greek Beast Cerberus The Protector Of
Capitalism
We live in a world controlled by an invisible yet very present force that shapes the
way we live our daily lives. With industry as its host and technology as the blood
being pumped into its heart, it is a force powerful enough to bend politics to fit its
needs. Capitalism; a method of industry where production and distribution are
privately or corporately owned, its operation grows through profits, exploitation of
labor, and extinguishing competition. During the Industrial Revolutiontechnology was
on the global stage. Factories and machines are built in existing cities producing
and distributing mass goods on a global scale. Over time this fast production of
goods would replace the old agricultural economy to a modern urban economy.
Today the revolution is praised for creating a global trade market while surging us
into a world of technology.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is evident today in New York City, where gentrification is forcing homeowners
and local businesses out of their spaces for incoming international buyers and
corporations. Powerfully connected cities such as New York attract major industries
because of their trade ports, financial services, etc. Dense cities seize this opportunity
by using prime locations, newly renovated spaces, and increased rent to get the most
bang for their buck. While invisible actors of major corporations continue to exploit
labor and extinguish competition religiously for profit, technology embodies
Cerberus; the protector of capitalism. The greek beast Cerberus is known for
protecting the realm of Hades from intruders. In the similar sense technology is
constantly being advanced and innovated to make production more efficient and
cheap, protecting capitalist wealth from the middle/lower class. Democracy gives
freedom and power to the people. But with eyes on every dollar bill and the power to

John D. Rockefeller And The Gilded Age
During the Gilded Age, the United States saw an increase in the power of big
businesses, many of which monopolized their industries. This time period, although it
appeared successful from the outside, was filled with governmental corruption.
Manipulated by the robber barons of the Gilded Age, the United States government
fell victim to their control. Contrary to this downfall, the nation celebrated much
success in the numerous life changing inventions attributed to this era. With the
invention of the internal combustion engine, among others, there also came a major
increase in the demand for oil. Entering the flourishing oil business in 1870, John D.
Rockefellercreated the Standard OilCompany, which later dominated the entire oil
industry. Although he had years filled with success in the business, Rockefeller
faced a disastrous court case that dissolved his company and years of his hard work.
Despite this catastrophic event, Rockefeller found other ways to contribute his
knowledge and hard work by making innumerable philanthropic donations. After
many years and countless efforts, John D. Rockefeller had one of the most
outstanding and positive influences on the United States through his work in the oil
industry and his philanthropic actions. Rockefeller s childhood helped mold him
into the man he became. He was born in Richford, New York to Eliza Davison
Rockefeller and William Avery Rockefeller Sr., a traveling salesman. Being the
second of six children, Rockefeller was
How Is Diction Used In Emily Dickinson s Poetry
One of three children Emily Elizabeth Dickinson was an American poet born in
Amherst, Massachusetts, 50 miles from Boston, born December 10, 1830.
Dickinson is known for her unusual social life and reserved lifestyle. Dickinson
went to Mount Holyoke Female Seminary in South Hadley But she only attended
for one year. Dickinson was a very rare but bright individual at a young age
Dickinson was not allowed to read different types of literature including Walt
Whitman which like Dickinson was a great poet but was discovered after his
lifetime. Her father Edward Dickinson did not allow any types of inappropriate

Many people believed the Dickinson lived a lonely and sad life with no friend or
family, always isolated with no one to talk to. In this last paragraph I started early
took my dog will be the poem that I will be discussing. A 135 word poem with only 6
stanzas it was published in 1896. 10 years after Emily Dickinson died. In stanza 1
Dickinson provides a calm but yet, magical setting for this poem. The imagery
would make you think that you are walking on the ocean. She creates the magical
setting with the quote the mermaids in the basement that looked up at her.
Dickinson makes you think that you are being watched by a mermaid but we all
mermaids are in our imagination. Dickinson feels as if she is worthy of being
looked at by something that s not real. In stanza 2 Dickinson links magically with
real events because the frigates is a type of warship used in the U.S. Navy. The
explanation of a warship suggests that Dickinson is aware of the magical and
peaceful parts of her life, such as the sea and the mermaids, but she is also aware
of reality, such as war. While Dickinson openly sees the warship on the sea, she also
sees the mermaids at the bottom of the sea floor looking at her. Dickinson continues
to give the sea human like characterization. In stanza 3 Dickinson talks about her
personal life. Dickinson first describes the sea as a man; Dickinson makes it very

I Believe Vision And College Alumni Into Accelerating...
Introduction
I believe vision promotes and excels college alumni into accelerating career pathways
that promote autonomy, innovation, and leadership expressed independently and as a
team. Fostering the next generation builds the framework for the assumptions relied
upon to support the community needs for career ready hires. In addition, vision
aligns personal beliefs and career goals as a career services, director. I would
articulate, steward, and promote this vision to foster alignment with stakeholders
students, parents, and community leaders. In turn, encouraging career goals through
exploration through desires, needs, individual values, behavior and actions. Simply
the opportunity to lead in providing students with tools to make strategic and
informed decisions about the career paths.
Articulating a Vision I believe collaborative planning with faculty, career
development officers, and hiring recruiters from a shared governance perspective. In
addition, to articulating, developing and rolling out the vision and prompting
feedback to measure those expected outcomes. I would start by communicating with
those who teach, requesting structured curriculum to incorporate career opportunities
relative to their courses. The effective avenues to reach the masses would include
forums, press releases, college open houses, career fairs, website presence, faculty
retreats, courses and college wide updates all areas requiring community/workforce
collaboration.

Motherboard is like the body of a computer system it contains a socket to hold the
processor and links a lot of internal components together such as RAM and graphics
cards using communication buses. A motherboard is a printed circuit board and links
the components using lines drawn on the circuit board. Motherboard holds the slots
to insert RAM or graphics sound or network cards to improve system performance.
The boards allow a computerengineer to upgrade the RAM so that a machine runs

Three Times In China
Three Times: Republican, China, Socialist, China, and Post Mao China Introduction
The twentieth century was not only transformational but also traumatic for China just
like other societies. Notably, the prevalence of warfare in China was high throughout
the century. In addition to war, dramatic peacetime economic and social changes
characterized the country s twentieth century. These shifts often resulted from official
policies related to redistribution of property, collectivism experiments, and land
reforms. China s early cinema industry represented these changes through films such
as the Goddess, the Red Detachment Woman, and Farewell my Concubine. Each of
these films represented societal shifts in the country during three unique historical
periods. For instance, the Goddess is a representation of the economic, social, and
political changes in the country during the Republic China period. Similarly, the
Red Detachment of Women epitomizes China during the socialist era. Finally, the
film Farewell my Concubine depicts the Chinese society during the Post Mao age.
The paper will provide a comprehensive analysis besides comparing the social,
cultural, and historical aspects of the Chinese society based on these films. Republic
China (1912 1949): The Goddess The film Goddess revolves around the life of a
struggling lower class woman. The tough economic times in the society force Ruan

The Industrial Revolution began in late 1700 s England. It was a time of new
methods of work, inventions, products, and more job availabilities. Thus it was one
of the most important moments in history, and it changed the world as it was known.
This resulted in the many successes of the 20th and 21st century. Without it, there
would never have been all the technology and inventions we now have today such as
computers, phones, cameras, or all the new and improved medicines. Agriculture was
no longer the main business, as factories started popping up all everywhere. This
made the job industry what it is today. Also while the Industrial Revolutionwas a great

outcome was pretty great. Through time all their hard work was eventually paid off

the money that was earned the workers got homes that were built nicely, their

The treatment of Saguntum by Hannibal and the treatment of New Carthage and the

Carthage and the slave girl with respect, kindness, and decency after he capture them.
After Hannibal captured Saguntum, Hannibal was barbaric and cruel to its
inhabitants. Scipio and Hannibal would have been shocked at each other s actions
and would not have understood why they acted in that way.
One of the only similarities between the treatment of Saguntum and New Carthage

Narrative Structure Of Memento
Time can be a thinker s most thought provoking yet infuriating concept to grasp.
Infinitely complex, time plays a crucial role in everyone s life. We do not know
much about it, other than that it is there. What is before time or after time? Most
movies move through a linear fashion. There is a beginning, middle, and end.
Narrativestructure can slightly be bended or modified, but for the most part it
follows the same basic formula. The movie Memento (2000), directed by Christopher
Nolan, follows Leonard Shelby, the main character with short term memory loss,
trying to avenge his fallen spouse. He only remembers up until the time his head was
bashed into a mirror after his spouse was sexually assaulted. The movie is told in a
unique way through two stories that do not make complete sense until the end.
Memento s unconventional narrative structure puts the audience into Leonard s
shoes, which is apparent in the movie s convoluted flashbacks, out of sequence story,
and bleak ending.
One of the most conventional uses of a flashback is to give the viewer some answers
through back story. In Memento, the audience is getting information thrown at them,
but it is confusing and mysterious. It invites the viewer to ask more questions rather
than answer questions. Nolan does this intentionally, so that the audience relates to
Leonard s jumbled life. Roger Ebert, a well known film reviewer, wrote One striking
element of the film is a series of flashbacks that illuminate, or confuse, the
Spatial Divisions Of Labor Summary
A central feature of capitalism is its tendency to concentrate resources and wealth
in one region while leaving another barren. Spatial structures which feature
headquarters in a metropolitan area and branch out industrial manufacturing to
rural areas facilitate a transfer of wealth to urban centers. This leaves the rural
branch locations dependent on the jobs provided by white collar workers in cities.
Massey s idea of uneven development is critical to understanding the rise of
populism in the west. As automation eliminates jobs concentrated in what Massey
regards as branch locations, anger is sparked which prompts displaced workers to
vote for populist causes. Doreen Massey explains the process of how spatial
structures create uneven development in her book Spatial Divisions of Labor.
Massey holds that structures of dominance and subordination are determined by the
way that production is organized over space. This occurs through a process that
concentrates specific components of the production processes in certain regions;
this explains why one region may only have blue collar manufacturing jobs while
another is characterized by manual labor, white collar jobs. This division of labor
among regions increases profits in certain locations, just as the division of labor...

Blue collar workers become reliant on the dominance of a metropolitan headquarters
to provide jobs. This is due to the fact that certain parts of the functions of economic
ownership and possession are missing, or controlled externally. Manufacturing
communities are dependent on their jobs in industry, as they do not own parts of the
production process. Thus, the elimination of their small role in the production
process could devastate the entire community. Contrastingly, metropolitan areas are
resilient in the face of economic change, as headquarters located in metropolitan areas
control the production process

In the story, the elder gods and the younger gods fought continuously. The earth
existed as two huge bodies of churning water. The fresh water side belonged to
Apsu, the male entity. The salt water side belonged to Tiamat, the female entity.
These two gods together, helped to bring all of the other powerful entities of the
Mesopotamian world into existence. The younger gods annoyed the fresh water
god, Apsu, so he planned to kill them. Tiamat, shocked at the other god s plans,
warned her children of Apsu s plans. Her children decided to put Apsu to sleep and
kill him, using his corpse to create the world. Even though this whole mess was
Tiamat s fault, she was upset with her children for what they did and decided to kill
them too. So with that said, Tiamat called up chaos to destroy her children with her
allies. Tiamat did not expect though, that Markduk, the powerful storm god, would
rise against her and use her body to create the sky. He then continued to create the
universe and the humans. Out of all the stories the Sumerians could have gone with,
they chose this

Drawing on the information and researched gathered using ethnographic data, in
groups we have progressed from choosing between a hardware and scenario, refining
the chosen scenario and creating concepts to find a solution to the problems that have
come up from the research on our scenario context, documenting the journey to our
refined context and concepts. Further development and refinement of a concept is
necessary in order to test and evolve it. This report discusses the psychological and
emotional experiences held by commuters on trains. Various methods of observation
and readings have been employed into refining the context of our researchand
exploring different avenues in order to quantify our knowledge of Ethnographic Data
to get to the concepts.
Ethnography is the study of cultural and social phenomena. It s is described by Brian
Hoey as something equated with virtually any qualitative research project (e.g., see
Research Gateway) where the intent is to provide a detailed, in depth description of
everyday life and practice. The multiple ways of gathering data are; observing a group
in their natural environment and habitual tendencies, video, questionnaires,
interviews, photographs and many more. Categorising and presenting the data could
be in the form of quantitative or qualitative data; quantitative being things that can be
measured in numerical values and descriptions while qualitative goes into details,
mostly observed and not measured dealing with

Smart cards and its role in securing user identification
Abstract
Smart cards have been use by so many people around the world the smart card
contain a small chip called as a microcontroller. People started to develop smart
cards in 1970s by a japan Dr. and by two inventers from Germany. Using smart
cards will make everyone life more easy on the financial side, since it gives the
ability to not use papers you only need to be authorized to carry the card and do the
transaction electrical. The information that is between the cardholder and the
organization is always secure. When they manufacture the smart cards they build it to
be secure they add encryption codes, authentication people only can have the cards
and also when the card communicate with the system it will do that in secure path to
protect it from attackers.
Introduction
What is smart card?
A card that has an embedded chip that always set the smart card codes or token
secure. The size of any smart card is similar to the size of driving license and it can
be made of plastic or even metal. There are two ways to connect or link the smart
card with the reader either through straight physical communication, which
recognized as chip and dip and the other way of connecting is by using the short
range wireless connectivity well known as NFC (near field communication) (Michael
Cobb, 2010) NFC is supported by ISO an international organization and to make the
Hellenistic Skepticism Analysis
This essay will be exploring the Hellenistic Philosophical movement of Skepticism in
its beginnings in academia as well as the teachings and positions of Pyrrhonist
skeptics. Hellenistic skepticism at its core is striving to Suspended judgment , as well
as question the basis of truth. In accordance to this proverbial philosophical quest for
truth, the Hellenistic skeptic would take a different path compared to their
contemporary schools of the thought, by negating perceptual belief, and not affirming
anything. To these ancient skeptics this will lead the philosopher down the path to
Suspended Judgement in which, they seek. This Suspended Judgement will bring
tranquility to the mind or at least these ancient Pyrrhonist skeptics believed this to be
so, thus this being the key reason why this is the central goal... Show more content on

Arcesilaus core tenants of thought are as followed (i) his dialectical method, (ii)
discussion of whether there is a criterion of truth, and (iii) his defense of the skeptic
s ability to act. (SEP) Arcesilaus often uses the same dialectical method that was
originated with Socrates, however Arcesilaus took the skeptical approach to this
method with the goal to weed out Dogmatic justifications and conclusions on reality.
His criterion of truth, which often was in objection to the stoic tradition, as well as
most other Hellenistic schools of thought, besides of course the cynics. However,
the skeptic s approach to truth is that of trying to gain the most objective answer,
often by refuting arguments made earlier in order to see all sides of the question,
thus having no true answer but instead a multitude of ideas that the Hellenistic
skeptic would is both true but also false. Arcesilaus would also argue that there could
not be a criterion of truth. Often arguing against the stoic claim of Cognitive
impressions for the skeptics. His main disagreement is if there is impressions of this

Investor Profile
Investor Profiles When it comes to investing, it is crucial to determine one s risk
tolerance, expectation for capital appreciation, income requirements, preferred
portfolio volatility, time horizon, and of course, the expected overall potential
return. These characteristics are generally summed together to form the investor
profile of a particular investor. It will allow an individual to make clear of their
goals and objectives, determine their comfort level with risks and uncertainties, as
well as other valuable information necessary to make wise investment decisions in
the future. There are six standardized investor profiles described in the article, The
things that keep investors smiling . They are listed as: aggressive growth... Show

The goal of these investors is to protect their capital; therefore there is a much
lower level of capital appreciation. The time horizon of these investors is usually in
a moderate time frame, ranging from three to five years. What Type of Investor
Am I? I would consider myself to be categorized under the profile of a growth
investor. I am a motivated individual who seizes opportunities as they present
themselves. Opportunities may not always be rewarding, but I am someone who
is willing to take that risk while others are in doubt. For this reason, I believe that I
have a relatively high level of risk tolerance. Many would say that risk is a double
edged sword, but I see risks as opportunities with very rewarding potential returns. It
is true that the higher the potential return, the higher the potential loss. However, I
believe that with exceptional knowledge and wise decision making, risk can be
reduced to a minimal amount in which case, it will act to your benefit. I would not
require regular income from my investments as I am more inclined to maximize my
capital appreciation. I believe that the regular income would be much more rewarding
if it was reinvested with a worthwhile investment strategy to induce a greater capital
gain. In addition, my investment horizon would be a longer period of time, as the
more risky investments may experience

The analysis is based on how the divergence in European and American labour market
affected the company, culture being the major factor. The following section provides
recommendations based on the problems analysed in this section.
National Culture
According to Greet Hofstade, Culture is the collective programming of the mind
distinguishing the members of one group or category of people from others
(Hofstede, n.d.). It can be analysed from the definition that, not all groups of people
are same. People of different regions nations have different understanding and ways
of doing things that differentiates them from the other. Thus, an organization should
try to adapt to the host country s culture to ensure success. Failure to do so seizes the
corporation from achieving its goals (Gudykunst, 2000).
Cultural difference is one of the major factors that affected the performance of
Manners Europe. Being a United States Corporation, Manners Europe s failure to
adapt to Dutch culture led to its inefficiency. The work ethics, management style,
motivational tools used were more American in nature than Dutch. The five
dimensions model proposed by Hofstede is used to understand the difference between
the Dutch and the American culture.
The dimension model of Hofstede states that, there are five dimensions that make a
culture different from the other:
Advantages Of Alternative Assessment
Puhl (1997), alternative assessments let students to establish their understanding and
personal significance of what they have learnt in class. Suzieleez Syrene Abdul and
Tajularipin Sulaiaman (2006), alternative assessment methods promotes higher order,
creative and critical thinking because the students has more control of their learning.
On the other hand, alternative assessment is characterized as an alternative to
standardized, norm referenced, multiple choice testing and typically claims the
following features (Wiggins, 1989b; Linn et al., 1991; Linn Baker, 1996) cited in
Maclellan (2004): student involvement in setting goals and criteria for assessment;
performing a task, creating an artefact/product; use of higher level thinking and/or
problem solving skills; measuring metacognitive, collaborative and intrapersonal
skills as well as intellectual products; measuring meaningful... Show more content on

Performance assessments are evaluations that involve engaging students in a
performance or in creating products that are presented for an audience (Ybarra
Hollingsworth, 1996). Common performance assessments include oral reports and
group demonstrations (Brookhart, 2005). Individual performance tasks may fall
under the category of authentic assessment, but they also may not (Erickson, 2001).
Often when using performance assessments, teachers will use rubrics to evaluate
students work, to state the criteria by which they will evaluate the project, and to
provide the students with information about what is expected of them as they
complete the tasks (Fischer King,
Baseball Hall Of Fame Museum Analysis
Museums are supposed to tell a story about something that has happened in history.
They are expected to be factual and tell the whole story. The good, the bad and the
ugly are there nothing left out. They do not pretend that an entire portion of history
did not happen because it s inconvenient (Stark, 2015). The BaseballHall of Fame
museumalso tells a story. The story of America s past time, the game s greatest
accomplishments and all the times records were shattered and barriers were broken.
Why should one of the greatest players of all time, the hit king , the player who has
the most hits ever recorded in Major League Baseballhistory be left out (Stark,
2015)? His story, the good, the bad and the ugly should be honored on the walls in
Cooperstown, Pennsylvania; home of Baseball s Hall of Fame. It is an integral part
of the history of the game and it is time to stop pretending Peter Edward Rose was
not one of the greatest baseball players of all time.... Show more content on

The Impossible Bayona Analysis
The impossible, by J.A. Bayona. On December 26 2004, The close knit family went
to thailand on their winter vacation. The day after christmas, turns into a nightmare,
when a terrifying roar rises from the depths of the sea, followed by a wall of black
water that devours everything in its path. But they never gave up and because they
never gave up the whole familywas reunited. Dead or alive they never gave up.
The theme of the impossible is never give up. Here is example, Lucas ( the oldest)
well they all got separated but during the first wave Lucas ends up finding his mother.
They held onto each other until they got to where the current wasn t that bad, then
they started walking. You see maria was severely injured, but she needed to get to
dry land and to the hospital immediately. But they were miles from the nearest
miles, and even to dry land. She could not give up walking through the sickness and
injuries she had. Even through the pain she was in she kept going on and of course
with the help of her son lucas. She ended up getting to land and getting the help she

Genetics when genes dominates in someone s physical and physiologic characteristic,
it always carry the advantageous and disadvantageous imprints of the past
generations. Aside from health conditions that bring secondary disorders of cellulites,
there are genetic dispositions that make an individual susceptible to cellulite
formation like polymorphisms of ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) and hypoxia
inducible factor 1A or H1F1 genes.
Dietary Preference Foods that are unhealthy are already known to be health hazards
since it causes various health problems from major ones like cardiac conditions and
endocrine related disturbance to minor health issues particularly cellulites. Diets that
are responsible for cellulite development and aggravation are those that are high in
fats, sugars, calories, salts, and artificial additives. Such will promote weight gain,

Stress problems or situations that causes someone in stressful conditions results to

Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, commonly known as MRSA, is a
relevant infectious bacterium to the healthcare field today due to its resistance to
many antibiotics. MRSA is a gram positive organism that is most commonly
transmitted through skin to skin contact with others who are carriers of this strain.
Patients in hospitals and nursing homes are at higher risk for acquiring this bacteria
with symptoms that range from a skin infection to sepsis. MRSA is an infectious
disease that is continuously on the rise due to the increased rate of antibiotics being
prescribed. These bacteria have gone from being Methicillin Resistant to multiple

Today there is not an outbreak or CDC Watchlist for this infectious bacterium,
however, there are always cases popping up throughout the community, commonly
in younger ages where hygiene is poorly practiced and in healthcare settings.
MRSA can be acquired in two common ways, community acquired or hospital
acquired. In hospital acquired settings, Methicillin Resistant S. aureus is typically
spread through breaks in the skin, either accidentally or surgically, through contact
of objects that an infected person came in contact with or through cough particles
from those who have the infection in their lungs. Patients with compromised
immune systems can be more likely to acquire MRSA in the hospital. Community
acquired MRSA is spread through exposure to others known as carriers, meaning
they show no symptoms but carry this deadly bacterium either on their skin or in
their nasal passage. This form of MRSA is actually more dangerous because it is
more likely to have acquired multiple drug resistance. The most common symptoms
of this disease include a skin infection resulting in, pus filled abscesses, boils or
cellulitis. These symptoms are usually associated with fevers, chills, and pain at the
site of infection. If not discovered or treated quickly, MRSA can be very invasive
causing severe complications by infecting major organs, causing gangrene, and even
sepsis.
Definition Of Leadership And Leadership Theories
Task no.1.1: Sum up the Leadership Theories: Definition of leadership leader ,
shows great influence and bonding with its theories. It is an ability of leader how
he influence a group towards the achievement of a vision or set of goals. Leadership
is also about coping with change. Leaders set a direction for future by making a
vision of the future. Then guide people by easy mode of communication with this
vision inspire them to rule out the problems.
There are eight main leadership theories are exist practically.
Great Man Theories: This theory assumes that great leaders are born, They cannot
made. These theories say that in case of need great leaders, they lead from the front.
Great man term was evolved because in military leadership only male leaders were
present on that time.
Trait Theories: Trait theory shows similarities with Great man theories, In trait
theories specifically it has been assumed that people are born with certain qualities
and characteristics. These make them better leaders from choice. It also shows
specific personality or behavioural traits shared by leaders.
Contingency Theories: Stoelhorst and Peter (2013) said that this leadership theory
mainly focus on particular variables which shows the relation with the environment.
This will indicates about what kind of leadership will be the most effective? This
theory simply states that no theory is universal perfect but the implement of theories
depends on the variability, it also
Expectations in Sonny s Blues, by James Baldwin Essay
Segregation prejudice persecution: slavery had ended, but African Americans were
still forced to carve out a grim existence beneath the dispassionate stare of narrow
minded bigots. Soon, the Civil Rights Movement would gain momentum and
drastically alter such social exclusion, but James Baldwin writes his story Sonny s
Blues before this transformation has occurred. In the style of other Post Modernist
writers of his day, Baldwin invents two brothers, Sonny and the narrator, who seem to
have given up on finding meaning in their lives: escape, not purpose, is the solution
for suffering. Although marginalized by white society, these men are still influenced
by external standards most noticeably our narrator. Using these two brothers... Show

Some escaped the trap, most didn t (Baldwin 24). Though he may live in a
different place, Harlem has devoured a piece of him and there it remains. Even the
place in which he now lives bears an uncanny resemblance to the house of his
childhood. The limitations that have always pressed and molded his character
continue to smother his life, and he transfers that torment to Sonny unknowingly.
Sonny is a passionate and sensitive young man who seems to look into the faces of
those around him and feel their pain. Some would call his compassionate heart a
curse as Harlem confronts him each day with a veritable storm of misery. After
observing a prayer meeting in the street for a few moments, Sonny admits to his
brother, While I was downstairs before, on my way here, listening to that woman
sing, it struck me all of a sudden how much suffering she must have had to go
through to sing like that. It s repulsive to think you have to suffer that much (Baldwin
41). In fact, this compassionate heart so deeply tortures his soul that he cannot bear
to live in Harlem anymore and begins to strain against the fences that impede his
horizon. Blossoming within Sonny is the heart of a jazz pianist, but that is not an
occupation that his brother (or society) yet views as successful or respectable. When
the narrator cautions Sonny against such blind ambition, Sonny declares I think
people ought to do what they want to do, what else

Assessing the effectiveness and sources of risk of viral control and prevention
through wastewater treatment from reservoirs and human waste. Introduction
Viruses are produce from infected individuals are spread through excretion into the
waste water system, leading to spread in wastewater. (Hewit et al. 2011) Viruses are
responsible for the majority of known drinking water outbreaks. (Blackburn et al.
2004; Liang et al. 2006; Yoder et al. 2008). Good treatment for wastewater needs to
be done in order to prevent the spread of these viruses in order to minimize risks of
epidemics. (Hewit et al. 2007) Furthermore, the risk for human health also depends
on the virus being spread. This is because, different viruses display varying levels ...

The concern is focused on the risks associated with its recreational purposes and
risks associated with waste water and the spread of zoonotic diseases. (Phelps et
al. 2014;Yamamoto et al. 2010.). For example, there has being avian flu outbreaks
that were associated with nearby waterfowl habitats contaminating the water with
faeces. (Halvorson et al. 1989; Karunakaran et al. 1983). Furthermore outbreaks of
avian flu in reservoirs have been seen to spread through open water from fields
spreading into nearby water sources. (Hinshaw et al. 1979; Markwell and
shortridge 1982) Also it has been considered a risk from carcasses of dead birds
spreading the virus in the water sources, however it has been considered to be
unlikely that there will be a spread of H5N1 through this route. (Stallknecht et al.
2006) In order to detect risks such as this real time PCR is used to detect the levels
of the virus in water. (Yamamoto et al. 2010) From detection of the virus risk
management becomes another essential factor in mitigating the spread of
contaminated recreational water. )
Unfortunately, regular monitoring for the introduction of new viruses entering the
water, such as Hemorrhagic Septicemia Virus (HSV) is not considered feasible.
Furthermore, prohibiting the usage of lakes used for recreational and business
purposes typically makes it harder to prevent the use of recreational water. This

The Characteristics Of Classism In The Classical Period
The Classical period, sometimes called the Hellenic period, began in the 5th and
4th centuries BC. During the Classical period, Greece succeeded its maximum
level of success both culturally and economically. The ancient Greeks strode to
perfect both the body and mind. Classism has caused a significant amount of
changes in the art world which allowed them to express themselves through their
art spiritually. Classism s qualities still are featured throughout the artworks that
are being made today. Some of this movement s features would include how most
of the sculptures that are done are idealized. Idealism is when someone is painted,
or sculpted with the ideal body and face. Realism is another feature in Classical
Art. Realism is seeking truth through the artwork, they could no longer achieve the
look they were going for by just chiseling away at a block of stone. Therefore, they
based they techniques on modelling, by building first out of clay on new models
and then they would copy them into stone. One of the last main features in this
movement would be how mathematically correct everything is. Artists in these eras
were very conscious about correct proportions, measurements, and symmetry. That
is how those artists made it possible to create such perfect and idealized
masterpieces. A sculptural example of Classical Art is The Spear Bearer . This
entailed careful observation of a model as well as understanding of the mechanics of
anatomy of how a body shifts from a pose,

Yeah, I replied. I m God. Your idea of God anyways. My kids... my wife you said.
What about them? Will they be alright? That s what I like to see, I said. You just
died and your main concern is your family. That s good stuff right there. You
looked at me with fascination. To you, I didn t look like God. I just looked like some

how the Germans brutalize their prisoners. Weisel describes the Germans as beating
the prisoners repeatedly and forcing them into disinfection, this is similar to how
one wouuld treat an object or animal, not a human being. This reflects the

The early settlers grew as a nation while holding true to some teachings of the
French. The French were originally on the search for an alternative route for Asia and
instead stumbled upon what was soon to become their greatest achievement. The
French set out to trade in Asia, but found ever growing success from the new land,

but not limited to: basso continuo, ornamentation, decisive rhythms, melodiousness,
and use of several textures. Of course, different countries in Western Europe had
different styles and sub genres within this. Theorists and composers, such as Jean
Philippe Rameau with his treatise on harmony, began defining characteristics of
harmony by studying works of his contemporaries. Although the Baroque musicas a
whole sounds similar, it is important to keep in mind that it was not one unified style,
but rather it was separated and understood differently depending on region. Certain
style techniques can be attributed to different regions. For instance, while Italy was
known to have melodies that sounded similar to singing, France was focused on
bringing shape to their melodies. In contrast, German composers of this same time
actually did not limit themselves to particular National style choices, but rather
looked to and studied that of composers in other countries. Telemann was a German
composer who exemplified this German style through his works. Not only was he
important for the sake of combining and utilizing different techniques and creating
unique pieces to that of his contemporaries, but he also was the most prolific
composer of his time. This Trumpet Concerto displays a blend of these cosmopolitan
styles. Telemann borrowed the French idea of shaping melodies. In the third
movement, the

Darkness to Light
While being in a dark place for a long time there usually is a time in life where it
turns to light. You go through things in life where it brings you down and shows you
better things that can happen in the future. That is what Authors Bobbie Ann Mason
and Raymond Carver shows us in their stories. They explain relationships and how
they are expressed differently by each and every one of us. The relationships between
man and woman show us the differences between them and how they react with one
another. Relationships complicate life and show great things that come out of them.
The different ways people describe love it quite strange by showing abuse, loss, and
emotion. In these two stories the authors explain how people ... Show more content on

Love a woman is abused by her ex husband and still believes he loves her. By
dealing with losing him to a suicide she still cared for him even though he would
beat her so bad. This loss pulls people in by showing them how abuse affects people
s lives forever. Raymond Carver wanted to make that clear throughout this story that
there are many ways people describe love. That is just another way people see love
but the other side is the emotional aspects that follow into it.
Another part of the same aspects these authors relate by is that they use their stories
to pull in people by using emotional situations. By doing that they are catching
attention right away and pull you
Renewable Energy Sources For Clean Energy
As of right now China is the leader in clean energy usage. They have been
dramatically increasing their spending on clean/renewable energy source such as
wind turbines, solar photovoltaic cells, and water turbines. This rise of renewable
and clean energy in china has come with a hefty price. China has spent almost $500
billion on renewable energysources. With this increase of clean energyChina is also
reducing their use of coal and trying to get more coal plants to clean the coal so
that there will not be as many pollutant coming from the plants. China has made a
plan for all this to be possible, it will span over 5 years and it is planned to cause
20% of all energy used to be from renewable energy sources. Because of Chinas
determined plan to make a big change in clean/renewable energy they have become
the leader in clean and renewable energy usage, over doubling the amount of energy
the US has produced from renewable energy sources.
One very controversial aspect to the use of these renewable energy sources is how
they are changing the landscapes and some even displacing animals and humans form
their homes. One example of this is the Three Gorges Dam, a hydroelectric dam that
reaches across the Yangtze River. The dam is located near the town of Sandouping
in the Hubei province. When the dam was being built China had to relocate over
1.24 million people because the water that would be blocked from flowing down the
river would rise and flood many of the towns by the river.

Elizabethan Crime and Punishment. There was a specific punishment for everything
from begging to high treason. If a peasant stole anything worth more than five pence
which was the currency of the time period they were hanged, anyone who committed
a capital offense was quartered, and the queen s guards were not allowed to wear

punishment that was specific to the crime. The most common crimes were theft, cut

money was considered a minor crime and the consequence for it was being hanged. If
you committed a capital offense you would be quartered, which is when they were
hung and then cut into four pieces. The most common crimes were high treason,

punishment that you got from committing the crime you did was very affected by
what class you were in.The upper class did not get punished as much as the
peasants did.For example an upper class person would not get caught begging for
money how a peasant would because they are not in need of money how a
Hillary Trump Persuasive Essay
Hillary Clinton Casts Donald Trump as an Economic Disaster
In a lengthy speech billed as an economic speech, presumptive Democratic nominee
Hillary Clinton launched a part two blistering assault on her Republican rival Donald
Trump, this time on his economic plans.
You might think that because he has spent his life as a businessman, he might be
better prepared to handle the economy. It turns out, he s dangerous there, too, Clinton
said to an audience in Columbus, Ohio. Just like he shouldn t have his finger on the
button, he shouldn t have his hands on the economy.
During her 45 minute remarks, Hillary sought to assail Trump s economic ideas,

He calls himself the king of debt. And his tax plan sure lives up to that name, Hillary
said. According to the independent Tax Policy Center, it would increase the national
debt by more than $30 trillion over 20 years. That s trillion, with a T.
Hillary added, He s written a lot of books about his business. They all seem to end
at Chapter 11, Hillary quipped, drawing laughter from the crowd. We cannot let him
bankrupt America like we are one of his failed casinos.
On Trump s tax plan, Hillary argued his plan would benefit the rich over the
working class. The tax plan, released last year pledges to lower tax rates across the
board. Hillary argued this plan would give tax cuts to the wealthy, causing another
Wall Street financial crisis. Under Donald Trumps plan, these Wall Street
millionaires will pay a lower tax rate than many working people, Hillary stated. And
of course, Donald himself would get a huge tax cut from his own plan, but we don t
know exactly how much, because he won t release his tax

strong willed personality. She likes to fight for what she believes in no matter
what others think. Her father pre arranged her a marriage with Demetrius, but she

Theme Of Resilience In Defending Jacob
Resilience is defined as the quality that allows people to be knocked down and
come back stronger than ever. Resilience is demonstrated throughout the novel
Defending Jacob by William Landay, and the ancillary texts If by Rudyard Kipling,
and The Third and Final Continent by Jhumpa Lahiri though different literary
devices. The similar conflicts of Defending Jacob and Third and Final Continent
help develop a theme of resilience throughout the stories. Another literary device that
helps to show this theme in Defending Jacob and If is point of view. Finally, the
theme is displayed once more in the novel and Third and Final Continent through the
use of characterization. The theme of keeping one s head through troubled times and
not giving up is developed through the use of conflict, point of view, and
characterization in Defending Jacob, If , and The Third and Final Continent . Both
William Landay and Jhumpa Lahiri use conflicts in their stories to demonstrate the
theme of resilience and perseverance. William Landay uses the conflict of Andy s
belief in his son and Lahiri uses the narrators will to be successful as those characters
motivation to continue working for what they believe in. Andy and Laurie s visit
to Dr. Vogel shows the beginning of a conflict in Defending Jacob. So? So what
does shoplifting have to do with murder? What s the difference if he took a candy
bar or something from CVS? What on Earth does that have to do with Ben Rifkin
being brutally stabbed to death? (Landay 146). Andy Barber never once stops
believing that his son is innocent, even after this leads to fights with Laurie and
could potentially lead to divorce. However he fights for Jacob and he knows they
will get through the trial. While Andy Barber s conflict and perseverance is more
mental, the narrator of The Third and Final Continent has a more physical conflict he
must overcome. The theme of resilience is also developed in this text when the
narrator is telling his son about his life at the end of the story. Whenever he is
discouraged, I tell him that if I can survive on three continents, then there is no
obstacle he cannot conquer (Lahiri). These words of wisdom demonstrate resilience
because the
Skin And Skin Contact Care
Skin to skin contact care is a natural process that involves placing a naked newborn
on the mother s bare chest and covering it with blankets to keep the infant dry and
warm. How a new born baby gets welcomed in the world during the first hours after
birth do have short or long term consequences. After birth a skin to skin contact is
a simple and beneficial step that a mother takes to welcome her baby to the world.
Since delivery is a tiring time for the baby, it needs to get a skin to skin contact so
as to calm down and also to support a healthy transition from inside to outside of
life of the baby (Ward, Hisley Kennedy, 2015). For a skin to skin contact the
healthcare provider should place the baby naked on the mother s bare chest so... Show

Being close to the mother also helps the baby to pick up some friendly bacteria
from the mothers skin to help protect the newborn from some infections. Skin to
skin contact keeps the baby s blood sugar levels higher and regulates his/her
breathing. Since newborns have faster heart rates compared to their mother, being on
the mother s chest helps create a more rhythmical pattern. In addition, research has
also proved that the baby uses less energy which helps in preventing low blood sugar
(Ward, Hisley Kennedy, 2015).
Premature babies are greatly helped by skin to skin contact even when they are on
oxygen since it reduces their need for oxygen and hence keeping them more stable.
According to In Macones, through the contact, the baby is able to feel the love of the
mother and her expectations, and hence get the courage to improve on his/her health
ten times faster in the incubator (2015).
Skin to skin contact also makes breastfeeding easier and better since the babies who
get the contact are more likely to nurse sooner and longer. The baby is able to see
and smell the nipple and this encourages him/her to start breastfeeding immediately.
The mother is also able to get the milk supply well established for the baby (In
Macones, 2015).
The infant s digestive system matures faster through skin to skin contact. This is
because the contact stimulates the vagal nerve therefore
The Two Towers Archetypes
There are many patterns in this world, and as people go through life and
experience things that most humans do, mankind adheres to many of them. These
patterns are called archetypes, and we see many of them portrayed in novels or
film. By looking at the Lord of the Rings: the Two Towers directed by Peter
Jackson, one can see that the film follows many of the character and symbolic
patterns that have stayed constant through millions of years, two of which are the
lost soul archetype, and the light versus dark archetype. The audience saw both of
these archetypes connect to the basic human experience of losing one s self and
having to stand up for who you are against the evils of the world. The viewer finds
the lost soul archetype present in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was a war with Gandalf the White against Saruman and Sauron. In the movie, the
scenes involving the members of the fellowship are mostly light, however during
scenes of Mordor, the orcs, Sauron, and Saruman, the lighting is very dark. This is
meant to convey despair and ignorance, two themes greatly embodied in the evil
aspects of the film. In the dark side of the war, we see the orcs, Sauron and
Saruman creating despair for all that have not claimed allegiance to Mordor. They
also showed ignorance as they destroyed the lands of the people of middle earth as
well as their kind. The viewer watches them demolish everything in their path to try
and make sure that they no longer have anyone they don t want in middle earth
anymore. But in the end, [it will be] only a passing thing, this shadow. Even
darkness must pass. The brilliant thing about the light versus dark archetype is
that the light always overpowers the dark in the end. It s a pattern that has been
consistent for millions and millions of years, and it definitely foreshadows the
ending for the reader. This foreshadowing shows us that a new day will come, and
when the sun [does] shine, it will shine out clearer. This tells us that the light side
of the war will prevail and be as strong as ever. We notice this as the good people of
middle earth fight together against the veiling shadow that [was glowering] in the
East [took] shape. As this shadow expanded across the entirety of middle earth,
and in the gathering dark, the will of the ring [grew] strong, the bonds of the light
grew stronger, knowing that they would need to face this war with all their might
in order to win. After all, Sauron s goal is to make his war and to have it be the
last war that will cover all the world in shadow. As the light side of the archetype in
the world that Tolkien has created, they have the job of bringing hope
My Student Choice Paper Will Be On Russian Culture
My student choice paper will be on Russian culture. This is a topic I chose because
recently a person I knew from Russia died due to a blood transfusion rejection. After
this I did some research on the Russian healthcare system I found that it lacks the
funds, equipment and supplies that are needed to deliver an acceptable level of care.
Russian cultural beliefs such as folk medicine and the belief in a strong nuclear
family may interfere with the care a patient receives. Furthermore, government
corruption, international sanctions, and low oil prices are affecting the Russian
economy. The Russian culture is one that interests me, but I m doing this to see what
can be done to help prevent more deaths. Since 1992 the Russian population has...

Jean Piaget s 4 stages of Cognitive Development and Erik Erikson s 8 stages of
Psychosocial Development
Developmental is understood as the act or process of developing; progress such as
child developmental. When children go through the process of developing, they all
develop the same regardless of what state or country there from. The way children
develop has been studied by two psychologists name Jean Piaget and Erik Erikson
and they both develop a theory of how children develop through their entire life
starting as a newborn baby through adulthood. Jean Piaget came about four theories
of children develop and Erik Erikson came about eight theories of children develop.
Psychologist Jean Piaget was born August 9, 1896 in Neuchatel, Switzerland. He was
his parents first born child. Piaget continued his education through high school then
attended the University of Neuchatel where he received his Ph. D in natural science,
then study one semester at the University of Zurich in psychology. During his study
of psychology, he became interesting in psychoanalysis which leads him to later
study abnormal psychology at the Sorbonne in Paris. ( Jean Piaget. Bio. A E

While studying psychology, Jean Piaget became extremely interesting of children
development and learning throughout their lives. It was over a course of six decades
of his career in child psychology when he recognized four stages of mental

Exercises to Alleviate a Separated Rectus Essays
Although common in postpartum women, a separated rectus, also known as
diastasis recti, can also occur in obese individuals and in children up to 2 years of
age. (See References 1, p. 337) This condition occurs when there s a separation
between the right and left side of the rectus abdominis muscle. This can trigger pelvic
and back pain, and make it hard to stabilize the trunk. (See References 2) Although it
can correct itself, targeted exercisecan lend a helping hand.
Things to Consider
Abdominal exercise, such as traditional crunches and situps, aren t going to correct a
separated rectus. More so, they can worsen the condition, and make your tummy
bulge out. (See References 3, p. 64) Your emphasis should be on retraining your...

The hip lift, sometimes also referred to as the bridge exercise, is also done while

the next step up from the pelvic tilt. It starts in a similar manner; you draw your
navel to your spine and engage your glutes. Instead of staying on the floor, you

your shoulders. Hold the contraction for up to five seconds, and then lower back

Welcome back returning readers, and also to those venturing into uncharted waters.
From what I m told, my writing can be an acquired taste. People have different

Religions Essay.pdf

  • 1. Religions Essay Writing an essay on the topic of religions is undoubtedly a challenging endeavor. The intricacies and diversity within religious beliefs and practices make it a complex subject to navigate. One must tread carefully to ensure a balanced and unbiased perspective, considering the sensitivity associated with matters of faith. The vast array of religions, each with its unique doctrines, rituals, and histories, adds layers of complexity to the task. To produce a comprehensive and well-informed essay, extensive research is imperative. This involves delving into the doctrines of various religions, understanding their historical contexts, and exploring the cultural and societal impacts of these belief systems. The challenge lies not only in gathering information but also in presenting it coherently, respecting the nuances and differences among different faiths. Moreover, discussing religious topics requires a delicate handling of personal beliefs and biases. Striking a balance between objectivity and empathy is essential to ensure that the essay fosters understanding rather than discord. The potential for controversy and misunderstanding is high, and a writer must be prepared to address differing perspectives with respect and open- mindedness. Crafting a religions essay also demands a thoughtful approach to ethical considerations. Recognizing the potential for unintentional offense and taking steps to mitigate it is crucial. The writer must navigate the fine line between academic exploration and the promotion of tolerance, avoiding any inclination towards proselytizing or disrespect. In conclusion, tackling a religions essay involves navigating through a maze of diverse beliefs, historical intricacies, and cultural contexts. It requires meticulous research, sensitivity to various perspectives, and a commitment to fostering understanding. Despite the difficulty, successfully navigating these challenges can result in an enlightening and enriching exploration of the multifaceted world of religions. • 2. National Youth Organization Case Study Jpz777 04/17/2013 Order # A2091736 1.) Understanding the composition of your board and the history and culture of your organization, how would you go about laying the groundwork for the significant changes you believe need to be undertaken?Г‚ The process of engineering a fundamental shift in the way a complex organization conducts its business is an enormous task, one which requires both an ability to independently deliver management directives, and to work collaboratively with key stakeholders who have a vested interest in the organization s eventual restructuring. As the president of a large youth services organization with over 100 chapters in local communities across America, it is my responsibility to ensure that the organization s collective goals are prioritized ahead of those devised by individual local chapters and their elected leaders. When the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) was confronted with similar financial and organizational difficulties in the early 1990 s, for example, Chief Scout Executive Ben Love was forced to make several targeted cuts and consolidations to the BSA s national apparatus, including the merging of six regional chapters into four, and a reshuffling of leadership positions within the group s Relationships Division (Thompson, 1992). Considering the construction of my organization s board, which is comprised of 51 individuals, ranging from the 30 elected representatives from the organization s largest chapters to the 21 business leaders
  • 3. Why Was The Louisiana Purchase A Turning Point In The 19th... In 1801, Thomas Jefferson was elected our third president. Thomas was president of thirteen of the original states. In May of 1805 Thomas sent Louis and Clark on their famous expedition we know of today as the Corps of Discovery. Louis, Clark and his crew journeyed for 2 years. They came back September 23, 1806. Before Thomas made a big change in the 19th century the Mississippi river separated the eastern territory from the northern territory which was owned by the French. In the Next few paragraphs it s going to explain three reasons why the Louisiana purchase was one of the greatest turning points in the 19th century, those reasons are it doubled the size of our nation, gave the U.S. more room to industrialize, and made exploring the unknown... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Louis and Clark were sent out to explore the new land, to see what it was like out in the unexplored land. The Corps of Discovery left in May 1804 and didn t come back until September 1806. Within those two years Louis, Clark and their men, had encountered with Native Americans. This is a really important deal because the natives had helped Louis and Clark on their journey. Sacajawea helped them with paths, directions, and interacting with other Indians. If Louis and Clark never had encounters with the natives than they would have never found their way back home. If they didn t return home on one would know if it was safe land to live on, or bad land to live on. Ever since they explored the land that Jefferson bought, more people went out and explored, there were fur trapper s mountain men and many different types of people that had went out and explored after Louis and Clark returned. So the point on why it was a turning point, is because they made interactions with the Native Americans, and the natives helped explore the new
  • 4. Research On Cognitive Affective Processes Intersubjectivity refers to the shared understanding between individuals (GГ¶ncГј, 1993). Research shows cognitive affective processes help to develop intersubjectivity (Tronick Cohn, 1989). Similarly, in psychotherapeutic relationships, cognitive affective processes are the building blocks to the therapeutic alliance. A psychotherapeutic alliance constitutes the shared client psychotherapist relationship marked by mutual respect, caring and shared understanding of therapeutic goals. If intersubjectivityis nurtured in the client psychotherapist relationship, this can lead to increased mutual understanding and goal achievement (as defined by the client) in psychotherapy. In order to show that psychotherapeutic alliances can be fortified by applying intersubjectivity to psychotherapeutic relationships, this paper is divided into four parts. First the literature review opens with the origin and definition of intersubjectivity, including sections on communication, affect, prolepsis and zone of proximal development (ZPD). The second section will look at applications to psychotherapy. The third section will offer implications to the field and finally concluding remarks will close with societal shifts that must be made to foster intersubjectivity in psychotherapy. Defining Intersubjectivity Origin Mother infant interaction provides the starting point for intersubjectivity (Trevarthen, 1979). Research has shown that infants as young as 3 months can shift focus and visual

  • 7. Who Is The Greek Beast Cerberus The Protector Of Capitalism We live in a world controlled by an invisible yet very present force that shapes the way we live our daily lives. With industry as its host and technology as the blood being pumped into its heart, it is a force powerful enough to bend politics to fit its needs. Capitalism; a method of industry where production and distribution are privately or corporately owned, its operation grows through profits, exploitation of labor, and extinguishing competition. During the Industrial Revolutiontechnology was on the global stage. Factories and machines are built in existing cities producing and distributing mass goods on a global scale. Over time this fast production of goods would replace the old agricultural economy to a modern urban economy. Today the revolution is praised for creating a global trade market while surging us into a world of technology.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is evident today in New York City, where gentrification is forcing homeowners and local businesses out of their spaces for incoming international buyers and corporations. Powerfully connected cities such as New York attract major industries because of their trade ports, financial services, etc. Dense cities seize this opportunity by using prime locations, newly renovated spaces, and increased rent to get the most bang for their buck. While invisible actors of major corporations continue to exploit labor and extinguish competition religiously for profit, technology embodies Cerberus; the protector of capitalism. The greek beast Cerberus is known for protecting the realm of Hades from intruders. In the similar sense technology is constantly being advanced and innovated to make production more efficient and cheap, protecting capitalist wealth from the middle/lower class. Democracy gives freedom and power to the people. But with eyes on every dollar bill and the power to bend political decisions, are we really
  • 8. John D. Rockefeller And The Gilded Age During the Gilded Age, the United States saw an increase in the power of big businesses, many of which monopolized their industries. This time period, although it appeared successful from the outside, was filled with governmental corruption. Manipulated by the robber barons of the Gilded Age, the United States government fell victim to their control. Contrary to this downfall, the nation celebrated much success in the numerous life changing inventions attributed to this era. With the invention of the internal combustion engine, among others, there also came a major increase in the demand for oil. Entering the flourishing oil business in 1870, John D. Rockefellercreated the Standard OilCompany, which later dominated the entire oil industry. Although he had years filled with success in the business, Rockefeller faced a disastrous court case that dissolved his company and years of his hard work. Despite this catastrophic event, Rockefeller found other ways to contribute his knowledge and hard work by making innumerable philanthropic donations. After many years and countless efforts, John D. Rockefeller had one of the most outstanding and positive influences on the United States through his work in the oil industry and his philanthropic actions. Rockefeller s childhood helped mold him into the man he became. He was born in Richford, New York to Eliza Davison Rockefeller and William Avery Rockefeller Sr., a traveling salesman. Being the second of six children, Rockefeller was
  • 9. How Is Diction Used In Emily Dickinson s Poetry One of three children Emily Elizabeth Dickinson was an American poet born in Amherst, Massachusetts, 50 miles from Boston, born December 10, 1830. Dickinson is known for her unusual social life and reserved lifestyle. Dickinson went to Mount Holyoke Female Seminary in South Hadley But she only attended for one year. Dickinson was a very rare but bright individual at a young age Dickinson was not allowed to read different types of literature including Walt Whitman which like Dickinson was a great poet but was discovered after his lifetime. Her father Edward Dickinson did not allow any types of inappropriate readings in his home. He was a father who believed in fairness, and personal restraint to a point. Many people believed the Dickinson lived a lonely and sad life with no friend or family, always isolated with no one to talk to. In this last paragraph I started early took my dog will be the poem that I will be discussing. A 135 word poem with only 6 stanzas it was published in 1896. 10 years after Emily Dickinson died. In stanza 1 Dickinson provides a calm but yet, magical setting for this poem. The imagery would make you think that you are walking on the ocean. She creates the magical setting with the quote the mermaids in the basement that looked up at her. Dickinson makes you think that you are being watched by a mermaid but we all mermaids are in our imagination. Dickinson feels as if she is worthy of being looked at by something that s not real. In stanza 2 Dickinson links magically with real events because the frigates is a type of warship used in the U.S. Navy. The explanation of a warship suggests that Dickinson is aware of the magical and peaceful parts of her life, such as the sea and the mermaids, but she is also aware of reality, such as war. While Dickinson openly sees the warship on the sea, she also sees the mermaids at the bottom of the sea floor looking at her. Dickinson continues to give the sea human like characterization. In stanza 3 Dickinson talks about her personal life. Dickinson first describes the sea as a man; Dickinson makes it very clear that No

Introduction I believe vision promotes and excels college alumni into accelerating career pathways that promote autonomy, innovation, and leadership expressed independently and as a team. Fostering the next generation builds the framework for the assumptions relied upon to support the community needs for career ready hires. In addition, vision aligns personal beliefs and career goals as a career services, director. I would articulate, steward, and promote this vision to foster alignment with stakeholders students, parents, and community leaders. In turn, encouraging career goals through exploration through desires, needs, individual values, behavior and actions. Simply the opportunity to lead in providing students with tools to make strategic and informed decisions about the career paths. Articulating a Vision I believe collaborative planning with faculty, career development officers, and hiring recruiters from a shared governance perspective. In addition, to articulating, developing and rolling out the vision and prompting feedback to measure those expected outcomes. I would start by communicating with those who teach, requesting structured curriculum to incorporate career opportunities relative to their courses. The effective avenues to reach the masses would include forums, press releases, college open houses, career fairs, website presence, faculty retreats, courses and college wide updates all areas requiring community/workforce collaboration. And I distributed the dollar amount to different proportion based on Direct Labor hours to get the overhead cost. Sum the overhead and direct cost to get the total cost; this will be the total cost of producing a batch of beerlabel. Therefore, we need to divide them up by the bottle per batch in order to know the cost per each bottle for each label. Three Times In China Three Times: Republican, China, Socialist, China, and Post Mao China Introduction The twentieth century was not only transformational but also traumatic for China just like other societies. Notably, the prevalence of warfare in China was high throughout the century. In addition to war, dramatic peacetime economic and social changes characterized the country s twentieth century. These shifts often resulted from official policies related to redistribution of property, collectivism experiments, and land reforms. China s early cinema industry represented these changes through films such as the Goddess, the Red Detachment Woman, and Farewell my Concubine. Each of these films represented societal shifts in the country during three unique historical periods. For instance, the Goddess is a representation of the economic, social, and political changes in the country during the Republic China period. Similarly, the Red Detachment of Women epitomizes China during the socialist era. Finally, the film Farewell my Concubine depicts the Chinese society during the Post Mao age. The paper will provide a comprehensive analysis besides comparing the social, cultural, and historical aspects of the Chinese society based on these films. • 18. Narrative Structure Of Memento Time can be a thinker s most thought provoking yet infuriating concept to grasp. Infinitely complex, time plays a crucial role in everyone s life. We do not know much about it, other than that it is there. What is before time or after time? Most movies move through a linear fashion. There is a beginning, middle, and end. Narrativestructure can slightly be bended or modified, but for the most part it follows the same basic formula. The movie Memento (2000), directed by Christopher Nolan, follows Leonard Shelby, the main character with short term memory loss, trying to avenge his fallen spouse. He only remembers up until the time his head was bashed into a mirror after his spouse was sexually assaulted. The movie is told in a unique way through two stories that do not make complete sense until the end. Memento s unconventional narrative structure puts the audience into Leonard s shoes, which is apparent in the movie s convoluted flashbacks, out of sequence story, and bleak ending. One of the most conventional uses of a flashback is to give the viewer some answers through back story. In Memento, the audience is getting information thrown at them, but it is confusing and mysterious. It invites the viewer to ask more questions rather than answer questions. Nolan does this intentionally, so that the audience relates to Leonard s jumbled life. Roger Ebert, a well known film reviewer, wrote One striking element of the film is a series of flashbacks that illuminate, or confuse, the
  • 19. Spatial Divisions Of Labor Summary A central feature of capitalism is its tendency to concentrate resources and wealth in one region while leaving another barren. Spatial structures which feature headquarters in a metropolitan area and branch out industrial manufacturing to rural areas facilitate a transfer of wealth to urban centers. This leaves the rural branch locations dependent on the jobs provided by white collar workers in cities. Massey s idea of uneven development is critical to understanding the rise of populism in the west. As automation eliminates jobs concentrated in what Massey regards as branch locations, anger is sparked which prompts displaced workers to vote for populist causes. Doreen Massey explains the process of how spatial structures create uneven development in her book Spatial Divisions of Labor. Massey holds that structures of dominance and subordination are determined by the way that production is organized over space. This occurs through a process that concentrates specific components of the production processes in certain regions; this explains why one region may only have blue collar manufacturing jobs while another is characterized by manual labor, white collar jobs. This division of labor among regions increases profits in certain locations, just as the division of labor... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thus, the elimination of their small role in the production process could devastate the entire community. Community acquired MRSA is spread through exposure to others known as carriers, meaning they show no symptoms but carry this deadly bacterium either on their skin or in their nasal passage. This form of MRSA is actually more dangerous because it is more likely to have acquired multiple drug resistance. The most common symptoms of this disease include a skin infection resulting in, pus filled abscesses, boils or cellulitis. These symptoms are usually associated with fevers, chills, and pain at the site of infection. If not discovered or treated quickly, MRSA can be very invasive causing severe complications by infecting major organs, causing gangrene, and even sepsis.

Expectations in Sonny s Blues, by James Baldwin Essay Segregation prejudice persecution: slavery had ended, but African Americans were still forced to carve out a grim existence beneath the dispassionate stare of narrow minded bigots. Soon, the Civil Rights Movement would gain momentum and drastically alter such social exclusion, but James Baldwin writes his story Sonny s Blues before this transformation has occurred. In the style of other Post Modernist writers of his day, Baldwin invents two brothers, Sonny and the narrator, who seem to have given up on finding meaning in their lives: escape, not purpose, is the solution for suffering. Even the place in which he now lives bears an uncanny resemblance to the house of his childhood. The limitations that have always pressed and molded his character continue to smother his life, and he transfers that torment to Sonny unknowingly. Sonny is a passionate and sensitive young man who seems to look into the faces of those around him and feel their pain. Some would call his compassionate heart a curse as Harlem confronts him each day with a veritable storm of misery. After observing a prayer meeting in the street for a few moments, Sonny admits to his brother, While I was downstairs before, on my way here, listening to that woman sing, it struck me all of a sudden how much suffering she must have had to go through to sing like that. It s repulsive to think you have to suffer that much (Baldwin 41). In fact, this compassionate heart so deeply tortures his soul that he cannot bear to live in Harlem anymore and begins to strain against the fences that impede his horizon. Blossoming within Sonny is the heart of a jazz pianist, but that is not an occupation that his brother (or society) yet views as successful or respectable. When the narrator cautions Sonny against such blind ambition, Sonny declares I think people ought to do what they want to do, what else

During the Classical period, Greece succeeded its maximum level of success both culturally and economically. The ancient Greeks strode to perfect both the body and mind. Classism has caused a significant amount of changes in the art world which allowed them to express themselves through their art spiritually. Classism s qualities still are featured throughout the artworks that are being made today. Some of this movement s features would include how most of the sculptures that are done are idealized. Idealism is when someone is painted, or sculpted with the ideal body and face. Realism is another feature in Classical Art. Realism is seeking truth through the artwork, they could no longer achieve the look they were going for by just chiseling away at a block of stone. Therefore, they based they techniques on modelling, by building first out of clay on new models and then they would copy them into stone. One of the last main features in this movement would be how mathematically correct everything is. Artists in these eras were very conscious about correct proportions, measurements, and symmetry. That is how those artists made it possible to create such perfect and idealized masterpieces. A sculptural example of Classical Art is The Spear Bearer . This entailed careful observation of a model as well as understanding of the mechanics of anatomy of how a body shifts from a pose,

  • 43. Describe The Characteristics Of Baroque Music Baroque music generally has certain elements in common across the board, including but not limited to: basso continuo, ornamentation, decisive rhythms, melodiousness, and use of several textures. Of course, different countries in Western Europe had different styles and sub genres within this. Theorists and composers, such as Jean Philippe Rameau with his treatise on harmony, began defining characteristics of harmony by studying works of his contemporaries. Although the Baroque musicas a whole sounds similar, it is important to keep in mind that it was not one unified style, but rather it was separated and understood differently depending on region. Certain style techniques can be attributed to different regions. For instance, while Italy was known to have melodies that sounded similar to singing, France was focused on bringing shape to their melodies. In contrast, German composers of this same time actually did not limit themselves to particular National style choices, but rather looked to and studied that of composers in other countries. Telemann was a German composer who exemplified this German style through his works. Not only was he important for the sake of combining and utilizing different techniques and creating unique pieces to that of his contemporaries, but he also was the most prolific composer of his time. This Trumpet Concerto displays a blend of these cosmopolitan styles. Telemann borrowed the French idea of shaping melodies. In the third movement, the

Resilience is demonstrated throughout the novel Defending Jacob by William Landay, and the ancillary texts If by Rudyard Kipling, and The Third and Final Continent by Jhumpa Lahiri though different literary devices. The similar conflicts of Defending Jacob and Third and Final Continent help develop a theme of resilience throughout the stories. Another literary device that helps to show this theme in Defending Jacob and If is point of view. Finally, the theme is displayed once more in the novel and Third and Final Continent through the use of characterization. The theme of keeping one s head through troubled times and not giving up is developed through the use of conflict, point of view, and characterization in Defending Jacob, If , and The Third and Final Continent . Both William Landay and Jhumpa Lahiri use conflicts in their stories to demonstrate the theme of resilience and perseverance. William Landay uses the conflict of Andy s belief in his son and Lahiri uses the narrators will to be successful as those characters motivation to continue working for what they believe in. Andy and Laurie s visit to Dr. Vogel shows the beginning of a conflict in Defending Jacob. So? So what does shoplifting have to do with murder? What s the difference if he took a candy bar or something from CVS? What on Earth does that have to do with Ben Rifkin being brutally stabbed to death? (Landay 146). Andy Barber never once stops believing that his son is innocent, even after this leads to fights with Laurie and could potentially lead to divorce. However he fights for Jacob and he knows they will get through the trial. While Andy Barber s conflict and perseverance is more mental, the narrator of The Third and Final Continent has a more physical conflict he must overcome. The theme of resilience is also developed in this text when the narrator is telling his son about his life at the end of the story. Whenever he is discouraged, I tell him that if I can survive on three continents, then there is no obstacle he cannot conquer (Lahiri). These words of wisdom demonstrate resilience because the

In addition, research has also proved that the baby uses less energy which helps in preventing low blood sugar (Ward, Hisley Kennedy, 2015). Premature babies are greatly helped by skin to skin contact even when they are on oxygen since it reduces their need for oxygen and hence keeping them more stable. According to In Macones, through the contact, the baby is able to feel the love of the mother and her expectations, and hence get the courage to improve on his/her health ten times faster in the incubator (2015).
