Ted Bundy Vs Ted Bundy
Serial killers are one of the biggest mysteries to the rest of humanity. The way they think and act is
terrifying but also fascinating because other people don t think in the same way. So when we see
someone so sadistic and emotionally detached we want to know more about them. We want to know
what their childhood was like, if something happened in the early development of their lives or if they
were just wired that way from birth. Two of the most popular serial killers are Ted Bundy and Jeffrey
Dahmer. They both started killing people in their young adulthood, progressively becoming more and
more addicted to the thrill it gave them leading up to their arrests later in life. However, they had very
different home lives and experiences that lead to their fates. Childhood and adolescence tend to play a
huge role in the way people turn out as adults, so it s one of the first things people look back at when
someone turns out to be any kind of killer. Jeffrey Dahmer is said to have had a pretty normal
childhood though, according to his father, he had an unusual interest in the bodies of dead animals and
didn t show the same kinds of emotions as other children ( All About Jeffrey Dahmer , 2011). As he
developed into adolescence his fascination with dead animals only became more disturbing as he
started examining and dissecting the carcasses. He withdrew himself from society and turning to
heavy alcoholism. His drinking problem stayed with him throughout his high school career

A Blind Eye to Our Abused Children in In A Child Called...
She was washing the dishes as if though she was racing against time, when suddenly the front door
slammed shut. The startling sound made her drop a glass onto the floor. In a frantic effort to clean up
the broken glass, she immediately was struck in the back of the head, only to awaken in a cold damp
basement several hours later. When discovered, she had two broken ribs and a fractured arm. Her eyes
were black and blue, swollen shut apparently from crying for hours. Her body appeared to be
extremely malnourished as if though she was using her own urine and defecation as means of
nutrition. Once the coroner completed the autopsy, he concluded that the result of death was a beating
so hard across the abdomen that the five year olds intestines ruptured, which led to an internal
bleeding. Two weeks prior to her death, a social worker noticed the abused child when the mother
sought out services for food stamps. She had noticed the bruising on her arms, and her eyes, her eyes
told a story no one could describe. So very often, ourselves we experience the abuse of children. For
example, attending little league basketball, baseball, or soccer games. Somewhere along the line,
parents and some grandparents have forgotten that these activities are learning experiences for our
youth not a showcase for verbal abuse! Unfortunately, for many of our nation s children the judicial
system will not allow a non family member to intervene to help and protect them from their abuser

Hillsong Research Paper
One Direction have more released than I count on one hand, Bieber has two, and even Miley Cyrus
and the Jonas Brothers had their own Disney 3D versions back in the day. Movies seem to be the next
logical step for most artists, and whether it s the cliché fun of 90 s hits like Spice World or the
recent Backstreet Boys movie, loyal fans flock to them. So who s next on the list? Well, you re never
going to believe this...but it s a church band. Really, I m not kidding. Maybe you ve heard of them?
They go by the name Hillsong, they originated in Australia, and overall they have sold over 16 million
albums worldwide. In other words, it s time they have a movie. To the delight of churchies everywhere

Early on, I made the assumption that this film was entirely church based. It s not. In fact, it was
directed by Michael John Warren, the gentleman who directed Jay Z s Fade to Black and Nicki Minaj
s My Time Again. This isn t going to be some feel good, low quality flick purely designed to sell
tickets in the Bible belt. Warren admits to not being a Christian, which gives us reason to expect Let
Hope Rise will be shown through a contemporary and secular lense. That being said, the faith based
element to this flick will be integral, hopefully in a genuine and really authentic way. Number Two:
The story so far. The story behind Hillsong s rise to success is something that has caused wide
speculation over the years. Having released music since 2000, the UNITED band has gone through
many members, written some iconic songs, and has molded church culture and the face of Christian

Comparison Of Sherlock Junior And The Gold Rush
In both Sherlock Junior and The Gold Rush, the main characters played by Buster Keaton and Charlie
Chaplin both have some difficulties integrating in the mainstream societies. However, Keaton s
character brings the audience more laughter because all the troubles he has been through are in his
fantasy. On the other hand, Charlie the tramp who played by Chaplin can cause the audience to feel
both happiness and fear at the same time because Charlie experiences those difficulties is in his real
life. In Sherlock Junior, the film within film plots make the audience aware that the dangers Keaton

Overpopulation Is A Controversial Topic
While there are plenty of infants being born every single day, do you ever wonder how the world will
continue to sustain the growing population? The population of the world is continuing to grow at a
dangerously, increasing rate. There are already at least 6.5 billion people on Earth. According to,
Overpopulation is main threat to planet , the population is said to reach 9 billion by 2050. The
overpopulation of humans is causing destructive impacts on the environment and a high demand for
resources. One destructive impact would be climate change because of the exceeding rate of humans,
causing pollution in the air. While the Earth is having a tough time sustaining particular resources, the
high demand causes the earth to force to get its nonrenewable resources. Overpopulation can lead to
dangerous impacts of pollution, depleted resources, habitat loss, etc. Overpopulation is a controversial
topic. While there are those who are not paying attention to its effects, the world is displaying its
resources will soon disappear due to the depletion of nonrenewable resources such as water, oil, and
soil. Addressing the problems and concerns of overpopulation now, can help save the lives of
individuals in the future, LITERALLY!
Therefore, to slow down the rate of overpopulation, people must fir st access the causes. Many
technological advancements in medical facilities and treatments helped slow down the death rate.
Although, saving lives is a great job, the increase of individuals

Essay On Japan Labor Shortage Advantages And Disadvantages
Challenges that created by country characteristics:
1.High land prices
Japan is an island country(see in figure 1), the land area is only 378,000 square kilometers. Land is in
short supply, especially in the business district in Japan. And the price is absolutely the most
prohibitive all around the world. This is one of the major obstacles to business expansion in Japan.
Possible measures to deal with shortages include open stores dedicated to delivery, the establishment
of standard stores in lower rental areas, or the development of more profitable shops with smaller
kitchen areas.
Figure 1
2. Labor shortage and Japanese labor practices
Because of the lack of young workers from structural rather than temporal changes, including the
decline in the birth rate of Japan, labor shortages for the fast food industry becomes a serious problem.
Fast food industry mainly relies on high school graduates and college students part time staff. Half of
the full time employees, including the managers, are college graduates.
Therefore, management must provide them with the benefits of Japanese employment practices, such
as the seniority system and the lifetime employment system. Management must also be concerned
about the increase in salary levels and prevent them from leaving to ensure the future potential of
employees. In order to address labor shortage challenge, Kentucky Fried Chicken is attracting working
conditions by developing a new system, getting rid of dirty, dangerous, hard

Women In Sports Research Paper
One of my earliest memories as a child was watching my friends playing soccer in our barrio right in
front of Grandma s house. Although many still believe soccer is a sport exclusively deserved for boys,
girls have shown passion and tremendous sportsmanship for the game. The fever of futbol increases
during the world cup. For me, it s almost impossible to follow all the important leagues out there, but I
don t miss any games during the cup. I know, typically of women right? Well, no. Let s talk about the
magnificent performance of the women s national team. You can blame Hope Solo if you want, but
this team has given a brilliant performance. Yes my friends, women we can play soccer too! But back
then as a kid going to the market safe and unharmed seemed like an impossible task without getting
hurt with one of the balls. I had the same issue at school, all the boys loved to terrorize anyone who

thousand Salvadorians were mistreated, hurt, and deported back to their country, losing houses and
properties. A few days later, Honduras declared war to El Salvador, this war known as La Guerra del

ONU intervening during the conflict, but the bloody aftermath left 4,000 dead people and another
15,000 fighting for their lives. During 11 years, a state of war was active between both countries until

Picture Pass Doodle System Analysis
4.3 Security and attacks
Security is the most significant factor in authentication scheme. Our participants were enquired about
how they often change their passwords and whether they have different passwords for different
accounts, their answers were that they do not do that often; therefore, this would increase possibility
of attacks. Here we briefly introduce some of the possible attacks which could break the Picture Pass
Doodle system.
4.3.1 Shoulder surfing
It is possible for an attack get the information by using direct observation methods , such as while a
user enters a password , the attacks records the input or watches over the user s shoulder [1]. The
attack can be applied to both touchscreen and non touchscreen devices. To effectively prevent
shoulder surfing, the disappearing stroke should be provided by default. This means that after the user
has enter a stroke, it disappears. Users should be given the option to select line snaking where the line

1. You will want to make sure and begin by taking the console and turning it over on its top, and
position it to the point that you can have direct access to the ports. This is where you will find a screw
that will have a sticker pertaining to your warranty. Take this sticker off and discard it Remove this
sticker as it will not be that important in the long term.. Underneath the sticker you will find a security
torque screw. This is here to deter you from being tempted to open your console up and do regular
cleaning on it. Remove the screw with the special T8 screwdriver that you have as this will be the only
way to remove the screw.

Next, remove the ribbon cables running from the disc drive to the motherboard. They can be pulled
out, except for the large one, which has a clip you ll need to disengage. There will also a cable and two
screws on the front and back that will need to be taken care of before the metal plate comes off. Make
sure the thermal pads on the plate stay on or remain on the motherboard.
9. Now comes removing the brains of the operation, the motherboard. This is a very delicate process
as screwing this up can leave your system being nothing more than a paperweight. Once you have
removed all of the screens and other screws that hold this in place, you will once again want to use
your pliers to remove these cables. Once they are all loose and free from the case, your motherboard
should come out without any issues.
10. Finally removing the screws from the plate under the motherboard as well as the few in the back
of the system will generally allow the plate to come out and allow you access to the cooling system of
the console. Many people will take it this far as they want to make sure that their fan is as clean as
possible to ensure that the system runs at its

David Persuasive Speech
Many years ago during biblical times the Philistine lined up to fight Israel. A man standing over nine
feet tall dressed in full armor came out of his camp every day to find a challenger. For forty days there
was no one willing to challenge Goliath until David volunteered. David was a young teenager who
wasn t even a part of the war, but was delivering stuff to his brothers, so it took some convincing to
the king to let him be the challenger. In 1 Samuel 17 more of the story is told. 45 David said to the
Philistine, You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name
of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the

Placed at his right leg there is a tree trunk. In the book that is used in the art history class 121 on page

compared to someone s like Donatello s is how masculine the statue is, and the moment that the statue
was presented to be at. The statue is in a pose that is represented to be right before the moment of the

The statue of David is looking over his left shoulder with a very intense stare look in his eyes. He is

and place that otherwise would restrict the stories they could film. (P.272). visual effects such as matte
painting, and animation allows filmmakers to film imaginary world and beyond. This week s movie
clip showed images and clips of before and after the visual effects in the Great Gatsby. I was excited
to see the visual effects used in this movie as it is one of my old time favorite. Just seeing how the
visual effects brought the movie to life was so amazing. I think this is on the list of one of the most
important elements in film design, and I really think it doesn t get as much recognition as it should. As
the clips showed us before the visual effects, the movie looks dull and uninterested, but as soon as it
switched to after the visual effects were added, it seems so much more interesting and colorful. ...

One of my favorite visual effects shown was when Leonardo DiCaprio was driving in his car and the

and the long shot they used was very impressive and beautiful. Try to imagine a movie without the use
of visual effects, let s take the Great Gatsby for example. If there wasn t any visual effects, the house
that Gatsby lived in would just be a big, colorless mansion, and the scene where he is driving on the
bridge would not be able to make it onto the movie screen because, in reality he just there siting in a

Report On Chemical Composition And Structure Of Csh

Report on Chemical composition and Structure of CSH

Introduction:
The C S H gel is the most abundant reaction product in cement, occupying about half of the paste
volume, it is also responsible for most of the properties of cement paste. This is just not because it is a
strong or stable phase but because it forms a continuous layer that binds the cement particles together.
All the other hydration products of cement form discrete crystals that are naturally strong but do not
have good connections to the solid phases they are in contact with hence cannot contribute much to
the overall strength of the cement paste. C S H gel gets the ability of the to act as a binding phase from
its nanometer level structure.
As C S H gel grows outward from the cement particles, it does not form a single large block or
monolithic solid phase but instead develops a complex internal system of tiny pores, called gel pores.
Gel pores are hundreds or thousands of times smaller than the original capillary pores which are
relatively large. The liquid water present in the gel pores is not part of the solid C S H phase
chemically but it is physically isolated, thus it cannot undergo any further chemical reaction with the
cement.
When hydrated cement paste is observed under microscope at moderate level of magnification, we
could see two apparently different types of C S H gel. One of these gel is less dense and more porous
that appears to occupy

Negative Influence on Women in the Media Melanic R....
This article, written by Melanic R. Salome , is about the women s misrepresentation of in media .
Salome considers media as an important tool that affects American women in a negative way. Media
has become of paramount interest in our lives, despite the fact that its negative influences on us are
increasing at a rapid pace. Media promotes unrealistic and unattainable images that result in
depression and dissatisfaction among people. Therefore, media reflects the image of society and the
way people think about themselves. Moreover, The writer strives to show the portrayal of women as
depicted by media, stating that historically women are more likely to suffer from marginalization and
stereotyping than men do . She claims that women are mostly represented as sexual objects and
marriage oriented. She highlights that it is unfortunate that this marginalization of women is still
continuing, but it is being exploited through a different way by media. Women beauty is used in
advertisement on purpose to sell products while men are usually represented as elegant leaders and
decision makers. Media, according to Salome, tries hardly to convince American society believing in
inaccessible and nonsensical goals. The author believes that women should be accepted as they are
without being incorporated into the picture of what the ideal women are. Furthermore, she claims that
the American society is a society that cares just about appearance as an important part of the human
existence.

upgrading, refreshing those assets, and how to quickly implement changes to adapt to the changes of
hardware and software.

Matthew Chapter 5
The Gospels of Matthew and Luke
Matthew chapter five is a sermon by Jesus. It tells us what perspective we ought to have in dealings
with each other and with our attitude. Those who are weak shall be strong, and those who mourn shall
be comforted tell of positive actions or humility being rewarded. Jesus goes through a list of these,
exalting the poor and the weak. Mt. 5:17 20 is between the first section of what actions are righteous
and before the section of what seem to be his own version of commandments relative to the law. It
says that all shall be done and judged through and by him. So he gave a perspective on the humble and
then judged the law. He tells people to be righteous and then tells them the manner in which to ...

He had great authority, and he was supremely obedient. He had power, but was humble and served to
glorify God with that power. He was depicted as one who s every action was oriented towards doing
the will of God. It is a standard that Matthew gives to nobody else.
First of all, Matthew was a Jew who was convinced that the messiah had come. Many of his writings
were Jewish, for that reason. However, he took issue with Jewish leadership and the blinding methods
they used. He used this perspective and wrote anti Jewish versus. Matthew respected and looked
positively upon Jewish Law and much of the Oral Torah. He did not like what was going on in
Yavneh, though. The way the rabbis there were defining these laws was not consistent with how he
saw the law. He saw the Pharisees as hypocrites who did not have his perspective on what was going
on in the world. For this reason, he rejected the emerging authority of the rabbis at Yavneh. He was
also afraid of those who claimed his own heritage but were leading the Jewish people blindly. The
purpose of Matthew s gospel was to, tell the story of how the coming of the Messiah has inaugurated a
new phase in the history of God s people and to explain how they were expected to live in that new
age. (Barr) Luke saw the death of Jesus as another step in an upward progression to glory for Christ. It

Sampling System And Its Effect On The Speed Of System
1 . INTRODUCTION There are plenty of sampling systems are present. By using those kind of
sampling system it may causes large amount of distortion. Distortion includes aliasing, jitter, noise,
aperture error etc. Aliasing. Some amount of aliasing is inevitable because only theoretical, infinitely
long, functions can have no frequency content above the Nyquist frequency . Aperture error results
from the fact that the sample is obtained as a time average within a sampling region, rather than just
being equal to the signal value at the sampling instant. Jitter or deviation from the precise sample
timing intervals. Noise, including thermal sensor noise, analog circuit noise, etc. In order to reduce the
jitter and increase the speed of system we use wide band photonic compressive system. It mainly used
for the periodic nonuniform sampling of signals. Topic relevance and applications Wideband photonic

the reduction of continuous signal to a discrete signal. A common example is the conversion of a

Should We Love Spartacus
Some people would argue that this new World referred to above looks suspiciously a lot like the old
one, if you look closely enough. As California s post makes clear it is impossible to discuss Spartacus
without bringing politics into it. Those who criticize it seem to be objecting not just to the
choreography but to its subject matter and its putative political outlook. Any implications about the
views or tastes of someone just because they happen to enjoy a work of art (even if accurate and
therefore depressing) are highly problematic though. It would be interesting to know, but should it
really matter to us whether Putin loves Spartacus? Do all people who like a work of art , a person, a
nation, or anything else like it (or him/her) for the same reasons? Would Spartacus love Putin or Hitler
or Spartacus? Should we loathe Wagner s music because the Nazis loved it? Should we burn all the
copies of Leni Riefenstahl s movies because they glorify a hideous, dangerous political movement and
philosophy? And while we are at it all copies of The Birth of a Nation because of its blatant racism?
On and on. Classical ballet represents an eminently worthy and civilized attempt to escape from all the

Limitations of the Anchoring Effect
Anchoring Effect
Anchoring effect, also known as a relativity trap, is the tendency we have to compare and contrast
only a limited set of items. It is called the anchoring effect because we give disproportionate weight to
the first piece of information we receive. The initial impact of the first information, our immediate
reaction to it, is so significant that it outweighs everything else, drowning our ability to evaluate a
situation. (http://www.entendeo.com/decision_making_and_the_paradox_of_choice.php)
The classic example is an item at the store that is on sale. We tend to see and value the difference in
price, but not the overall price itself. This is why some restaurant menus feature very expensive
entrees, while also including more (apparently) reasonably priced ones. It is also why, when given a
choice, we tend to pick the middle option not too expensive, and not too cheap.

depend on anchoring every day to predict the outcome of events, to estimate how much time
something will take or how much money something will cost. When you need to choose between
options, or estimate a value, you need footing to stand on. How much should you be paying for a new
refrigirator? How much should your water bill be each month? What is a good price for a house in this
neighborhood? You need an anchor from which to compare, and when someone is trying to sell you

Territorial Expansion DBQ
Manifest destiny and territorial expansion divided the United States from 1830 to 1860 through views
on Texas, disagreements regarding whether or not it was justifiable to travel west for land, and how to
handle the war that may have arisen as a result of territorial expansion. There was much division
among Americans regarding what should be done with Texas. Some argued that it should join the
other states so that there could be peace between them and Texas (Document F) and that it would
make the slaves more comfortable by providing them with more land and support (Document C.)
However, others argued that annexing Texas would create a dangerous imbalance of slave and free
states. In Document B, Reverend William Ellery Channing claimed that By annexing Texas, we shall
not only create [slavery] where it does not exist, but breathe new life into it, where its end seemed to
be near. In other words, by including Texas as a free state, slavery would only continue to spread for a
longer amount of time than it would have originally. This would, of course, extend the entire conflict
of whether or not slavery was just. This controversy over Texas greatly divided the states amongst
themselves. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

November 3, 2015
The Irony in Cannibalism Humor in serious topics can bring the light side of things and can also bring
more attention than just talking about them. In Modest Proposal written by Jonathan Swift, he uses
humor to talk about the famine that was happening back then and proposes an economical idea. By
using the word Proposal in his title, he gives a reasonably suggestion to aid the Irish, Swift mentions
them one by one the many benefits and counters the objections many may have, uses rhetorical
reasoning and proves his humanitarian views. Swift has written in detail over the degree of poverty in
IReland, he draws attention to the causes of it and proves in great detail that his Proposal will work in
which ways it does work. Jonathan Swift had a rough childhood only raised by his mother. Swift s
mother did not have a steady income and struggled to raise Swift all by her self. Swift was later passed
on to his dad s brother who was wealthy. Transitioning from poor to wealthy was difficult for Swift
but it let him see both sides of the world. Swift worked as English statesman for 10 years and helped
for political errands (The Biography.com Editors 2015). In 1712, he moved back to Ireland as soon as
he saw that Tories would fall from power. He has written many famous writings, including Gulliver s

Iep Meeting Impacts Student Learning Essay
Performance Activity 25: Attending an IEP meeting impacts student learning by how the IEP team
evaluates and determine a student s goals, accommodations, modifications, and which RTI tier the

allow the student to be able to meet their goal and is centered around their needs. Discussing
accommodations and modifications impacts student learning by the type and how many services the
student receives. The type of service/s a student receives impacts how the student will meet or not

Why Is The 4th Amendment Important
The Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution was first introduced in 1789 by James

the freedom against unlawful invasions. The exact wording of the Fourth Amendment is The right of

with the Fourth Amendment in criminal procedures. A case that took place back in 2001 in Florida is a
good example of use of the Fourth Amendment in a court case. On a night in July in Florida Anthony
Frierson was in his vehicle waiting to turn at a left turn. When the light turned green Frierson made his
turn without using his signal and was pulled over by Officer Steven Miller. An important fact to note
is that it not illegal to make a turn without your signal in Florida. After Officer Miller pulled Frierson

doing so he came to find out that Frierson had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest, and proceeded
to arrest Frierson on the basis of the warrant. Whenever a police officer arrests someone on a traffic

The speaker was discussing acceptance/fear of rejection. He said these things are what cause us all to

true version, and all others are sacrilegious. He read from 1 Corinthians 8. He warned Christians to not

Experimental/Emotional: The congregation was staunch. Everyone was very quiet and attentive.
Crying babies were hushed and removed from the room. Minimal distractions were present. Everyone

fear and not respect that kept the congregation attentive. The speakers all emphasized human
insignificance on more than one occasion. At one point Bro John Reinhard stated we have no intrinsic

Jackie Robinson Turning Point Analysis
1. How do turning points impact a person s life, family, and country? A turning point can be described
as a life changing event that can have a negative or positive outcome on a person. In the
autobiography, I Never Had It Made , by Jackie Robinson, the memoir, Warriors Don t Cry , By Melba
Pattillo Beals, and the article, The Father of Chinese Aviation by Rebecca Maksel each of the
individuals faced turning points. Jackie Robinson, Melba Pattillo Beals, and Feng Ru all faced life
changing experiences that changed both their lives and their countries.
2. Jackie Robinson s life changed when he became the first black man to play in the world series and
Major League Baseball (MLB) during a time of segregation in America. These life changing events
challenged him because he had to face racially tense crowds and endured threats from teammates,
opponents, and bigoted fans. For example in paragraph three, the text states, Some of my own
teammates refused to accept me because I was black. This quote explains a negative portraying event
that comes upon Jackie Robinson. Also in paragraph three the text states, There were threats against
me and my family and even out and out attempts and physical harm to me. This explains how Jackie
felt uneasy about how the whites were trying to put Jackie down. Despite the racism he faced,
Robinson learned to have pride in his accomplishments and appreciate the courage, support, and love
shown by his supporters. For example, in paragraph eleven, the text states, I don t think I ll ever forget
that small, shrill voice of a tiny white kid, in the midst of a racially tense atmosphere during an early
game in a Dixie town, cried out, Attaboy, Jackie. This explains how because of one his supporters was
cheering him on he felt he had to succeed even if most people wouldn t accept him. Jackie s
challenges made him a popular name to remember in the Major Leagues today.
3. Melba Pattillo Beals life changed when she integrated an all white high school. The events
challenged Beals because she faced racism and because of this she built up confidence and character.
In paragraph thirteen the text states, Some of the white people looked totally horrified while others

Kiplings poem boots is about the endless marching done in Africa. Kipling explains how the soldier

sense of monotony. Kipling s poem says to count the bullets in the bandoliers and do not let your eyes
drop or the enemy will get on top of you. It is not altogether too bad during the day because of one s

Man s Relationship With Nature
Nature is a marvelous and fascinating topic studied by man for centries. Since the beginning of human
civilization, man is in a constant battle against nature. Man tries and tries to cultivate the wild side of
nature but fails. We know more about the moon then the bottom of the ocean. Humans don t depend
on the environment, they take advantage and discard the effects, while nature sits and halts waiting to
strike back. Throughout the progression of the human timeline, catastrophic events almost wiped out
man from the face of the earth. Man s relationship with Nature is distinctly separate, the two can t
coexist in harmony and unity. Man is repelled by nature s environment, the catastrophic events that
comes with as well as the long term problems it brings for man to deal with are gruesome. Human
Civilization started among water, the driving source of human life. During the Paleolithic era, man
was a nomadic hunter gather. They used primitive stone tools, crafted by hand from the environment,
their survival heavily depending upon the environment and climate. At the dawn of the relationship,
man would depend on nature to survive, it wasn t until man would gain greater knowledge obtaining
the ability to thrive of the earth instead of depend on it. Mesopotamia, the world s first human

focuses on fare evasion and smart cards on BRT. The overall objective of BRT is to enhance transit
through travel times that are faster than traditional fixed route bus service. While seen as a premium
service, BRT should not be implemented at the expense of existing fixed route service, but rather in a
way that complements and enhances other transit services (APTA). With buses coming every ten to
fifteen minutes, fare evasions seems to be the big issue. Bus operators do not have time to inspect
fares because that would delay the service.
In addition, transit agencies are likely to implement a smart card system because it will minimize and
reduce fare evasion. BRT routes operate at a high frequency, which leads to an increased percentage of
riders. The majority of transit agencies use the proof of verification method, which increases the
numbers of fare evaders because fare inspections do not happen very often. Also, bus operators like to
keep their buses on schedule so it is impossible for them to inspect fares without delaying the bus. As
stated in this article Even with inspectors, some revenue loss due to fare evasion should be expected
with off board payment (approximately 4 to 5 percent) (APTA). Furthermore, if transit agencies
implement smart cards, riders will only need to tap card reader before boarding the bus allowing fast
boarding without defeating the purpose

The Cultural Impact Of NAFTA On Mexico
Introduction
Some argue that globalization will, on the long term, bring all cultures as a unique Western, if not
Americanized, culture, while others argue that some cultures will persist in order to keep their own
essence and therefore avoid the homogenization of all cultures. Alongside pure tradition, global
conflicts, contradictory political regimes and the diversity of economic systems, some cultures are
bound to face issues when trying to fully fit in a global western culture, and that is why cultures are
adaptable to one another, but with some limits that we will express in this essay. Defined by the
International Monetary Fund as the increasing integration of economies around the world, particularly

The first elements Zuloaga points out is that the protection of the Mexican cultural industry never
came up . (Zuolaga,2001) Indeed, the NAFTA agreements made between major world powers, it is
expected that many will question the validity of these agreements on an equality scale for Mexico,
known as a weak country on many levels.
Alongside job losses and the increase of the dependence of Mexico on the United States, Mexico has
deeply been affected on a cultural aspect after the NAFTA was put in place. Indeed, Zuloaga explains
in her article that The internal imbalances caused the Mexican people to question their independence
and national identity . (Zuolaga,2001) By these words, the author once again shows that cultural
identity is well affected by economic integration measures, and thus, globalization. Further on, she
also mentions the asymmetry of power among NAFTA s member states, which is undeniably palpable
looking at the lack of affirmation Mexico is offered to deliver, here in the cultural

Pros And Cons Of Amtrak And Metrolink
If Amtrak and Metrolink want to use personality tests on their employees, the MMPI would be most
effective. The positives of this test far outweigh the cons. The test examines everything about a
person, from their self esteem to emotions. It can also identify any signs of disorder in an individual. It
is also widely used by many different companies to assess the success a person might have in a high
risk public safety position. The MMPI is widely considered to be the most reliable personality test. It
dives much deeper into a person s psyche than any of its counterparts, like the Rorschach Test. The
only downside to the MMPI is the amount of time it takes to complete. With 567 true false questions,
it can take a while to complete, but the information

Argumentative Essay On Electoral College
Electoral College The most important time of the year in the USA is when all the citizens gather
together and cast a vote for their elect president. During this process most people would say this when
Americans really show out for their democracy. Many times we have seen the electoral college not
work in favor of the people.. Or maybe it does. The arguments to maintain the Electoral College
system are all derived from the notion that it has worked fine thus far. There have been many attempts
to reform the electoral system but none of them have been successful. This is due to the fact that no
election system is perfect, but the current system has stood the test of time. It has never rejected the
winner of a popular vote majority. It always produces clear and immediately known winners, so far.
Getting rid of the Electoral College system would be profoundly dangerous. Especially with the way

The electoral college began in 1964 with the constitution of the United States in Article II, Clause II.
The total number of electors are 538 and the required number of electoral votes for the candidates
running for president to win the presidency is 270. Along the years, many people have argued that the
electoral college is not a fair. Twice with the running candidates we have seen elect presidents win due
to the electoral college. For example, back in 2000 with Gore vs Bush, Gore had won the popular vote
but did not win the amount of electoral votes to win presidency, therefore Bush had won and became
president. A second example of this happening is in the recent president election with Clinton vs
Trump, Clinton had won the popular vote by nearly 2 million more votes than Trump. In the end,
Trump was the first to receive all 270 electoral votes needed to win and therefore won and became our
elect president. When electoral votes happen it leaves many to question does our vote really

The Industrial Revolution And The French Revolution
The Industrial Revolution and the French Revolution are both integral parts of European history.
Taking place during the late eighteenth century, each molded different parts of Europe and had
different social ramifications. The Industrial Revolution began in the late 1700 s and was the
beginning of new innovations along with manufacturing processes. The French Revolution began
during the year 1789, with two sides of the population fighting either for or against the monarchy. The
French Revolution ended ten years later during the year 1799 with the French overthrowing the
monarchy and starting their own form of government. While both revolutions have had a huge impact
on modern day Europe, the innovations along with the social changes that occurred during the
Industrial Revolution make it more significant than the French Revolution. Before the Industrial
Revolution, Britain was comprised of rural areas where most of the population resided. A lot of their
time revolved around agriculture as a means of survival and as a way to make an income. They also
built and produced most of their clothing, furniture and homes with machines that were simple and
small tools. As time went by, people came up with different ideas and changed the methods in which
they were able to produce agriculture. This led to an increase in food production which was steadily
available to the population that was rising and working factories. These events would become apart of
what would start the Industrial

The Pros And Cons Of Decentralization In India
argued that the PRI are unable to function to their potential due to fiscal and administrative autonomy
is minimum under PRI. Prior to the 73rd amendment, there have been attempts at decentralization in
India but have vastly failed in various states due to the vested interests of the bureaucracy and state
politicians. These vested interests of the powerful in state still pose a threat to the decentralized setup
because it establishes dominance of the powerful in state bureaucracy and leads to incidences of
corruption as currently witnessed in India.

In this view, poverty reduction, especially in rural areas plays a crucial part. The dimensions of
poverty reduction in terms of decentralization are preconditioned to democratization, higher
sensitivity to local needs and higher community participation. Decentralization in India has the
capacity and worked well in terms of administrative devolution but to reap the full benefits of it, it
needs to be associated with broad based, multidimensional policies with fiscal devolution and higher
participation by the people.
Political participation is an important aspect of freedoms entitled to individuals and should not be
overlooked. Political freedom is one aspect wherein everyone gets a similar chance to voice their
opinions and choices unless the system is weakened by corruption and weak linkages. Eliminating
multilevel inefficiencies like that in bureaucracy and market would certainly lead to better standard of
living for all. Poverty which creates a domino effect on other aspects of life can be drastically reduced
through political empowerment which is provided to the most vulnerable spaces i.e. the rural

The Real Tragic Hero Of Sophocles Antigone
Brennan Vicker
John Carlberg
English 102
9 December 2014
The Real Tragic Hero in the Play Antigone A tragic hero according to Aristotle is someone who is of
high nobility, and has a major internal character flaw. That flaw will eventually by the characters
ultimate demise which is most likely death. If their demise doesn t end in a death the tragic hero
usually goes through a catharsis. The most common flaws of a tragic hero are hubris, pride, and
stubbornness. Tragic heroes can be found throughout most tragedy themed plays and they can help the
audience relate or feel for the character has they go through there ups and downs throughout majority
of the play. An example of play that has a definite tragic hero is the play Antigone by Sophocles.
Antigone and Creon are both the main characters in this play but only one is the true tragic hero of this
play. Creon perfectly fits majority of a tragic hero definition according to Aristotle. Antigone barely
meets a few of the aspects of a tragic hero, which is why tragic hero of the play Antigone by
Sophocles is Creon the King of Thebes.
Around the fifth century B.C. tragedies were a very new and popular form of playwriting amongst the
people of Ancient Greece. One of the first playwrights of Ancient Greece that mastered the art of
writing tragedies was the well know Sophocles. One of Sophocles famous plays is called Oedipus the
King which was the model for the guidelines used in the book Poetics which was written by Aristotle

  • 2. Ted Bundy Vs Ted Bundy Serial killers are one of the biggest mysteries to the rest of humanity. The way they think and act is terrifying but also fascinating because other people don t think in the same way. So when we see someone so sadistic and emotionally detached we want to know more about them. We want to know what their childhood was like, if something happened in the early development of their lives or if they were just wired that way from birth. Two of the most popular serial killers are Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer. They both started killing people in their young adulthood, progressively becoming more and more addicted to the thrill it gave them leading up to their arrests later in life. However, they had very different home lives and experiences that lead to their fates. Childhood and adolescence tend to play a huge role in the way people turn out as adults, so it s one of the first things people look back at when someone turns out to be any kind of killer. Jeffrey Dahmer is said to have had a pretty normal childhood though, according to his father, he had an unusual interest in the bodies of dead animals and didn t show the same kinds of emotions as other children ( All About Jeffrey Dahmer , 2011). As he developed into adolescence his fascination with dead animals only became more disturbing as he started examining and dissecting the carcasses. He withdrew himself from society and turning to heavy alcoholism. His drinking problem stayed with him throughout his high school career ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. A Blind Eye to Our Abused Children in In A Child Called... She was washing the dishes as if though she was racing against time, when suddenly the front door slammed shut. The startling sound made her drop a glass onto the floor. In a frantic effort to clean up the broken glass, she immediately was struck in the back of the head, only to awaken in a cold damp basement several hours later. When discovered, she had two broken ribs and a fractured arm. Her eyes were black and blue, swollen shut apparently from crying for hours. Her body appeared to be extremely malnourished as if though she was using her own urine and defecation as means of nutrition. Once the coroner completed the autopsy, he concluded that the result of death was a beating so hard across the abdomen that the five year olds intestines ruptured, which led to an internal bleeding. Two weeks prior to her death, a social worker noticed the abused child when the mother sought out services for food stamps. She had noticed the bruising on her arms, and her eyes, her eyes told a story no one could describe. So very often, ourselves we experience the abuse of children. For example, attending little league basketball, baseball, or soccer games. Somewhere along the line, parents and some grandparents have forgotten that these activities are learning experiences for our youth not a showcase for verbal abuse! Unfortunately, for many of our nation s children the judicial system will not allow a non family member to intervene to help and protect them from their abuser ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Warren admits to not being a Christian, which gives us reason to expect Let Hope Rise will be shown through a contemporary and secular lense. That being said, the faith based element to this flick will be integral, hopefully in a genuine and really authentic way. Number Two: The story so far. The story behind Hillsong s rise to success is something that has caused wide speculation over the years. Having released music since 2000, the UNITED band has gone through many members, written some iconic songs, and has molded church culture and the face of Christian music. • 13. Report On Chemical Composition And Structure Of Csh CE 2020: Construction Materials Report on Chemical composition and Structure of CSH Arjit Soni ES13B1005 Introduction: The C S H gel is the most abundant reaction product in cement, occupying about half of the paste volume, it is also responsible for most of the properties of cement paste. This is just not because it is a strong or stable phase but because it forms a continuous layer that binds the cement particles together. All the other hydration products of cement form discrete crystals that are naturally strong but do not have good connections to the solid phases they are in contact with hence cannot contribute much to the overall strength of the cement paste. C S H gel gets the ability of the to act as a binding phase from its nanometer level structure. As C S H gel grows outward from the cement particles, it does not form a single large block or monolithic solid phase but instead develops a complex internal system of tiny pores, called gel pores. Gel pores are hundreds or thousands of times smaller than the original capillary pores which are relatively large. The liquid water present in the gel pores is not part of the solid C S H phase chemically but it is physically isolated, thus it cannot undergo any further chemical reaction with the cement. When hydrated cement paste is observed under microscope at moderate level of magnification, we could see two apparently different types of C S H gel. One of these gel is less dense and more porous that appears to occupy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. Negative Influence on Women in the Media Melanic R.... This article, written by Melanic R. Salome , is about the women s misrepresentation of in media . Salome considers media as an important tool that affects American women in a negative way. Media has become of paramount interest in our lives, despite the fact that its negative influences on us are increasing at a rapid pace. Media promotes unrealistic and unattainable images that result in depression and dissatisfaction among people. Therefore, media reflects the image of society and the way people think about themselves. Moreover, The writer strives to show the portrayal of women as depicted by media, stating that historically women are more likely to suffer from marginalization and stereotyping than men do . She claims that women are mostly represented as sexual objects and marriage oriented. She highlights that it is unfortunate that this marginalization of women is still continuing, but it is being exploited through a different way by media. Women beauty is used in advertisement on purpose to sell products while men are usually represented as elegant leaders and decision makers. Media, according to Salome, tries hardly to convince American society believing in inaccessible and nonsensical goals. The author believes that women should be accepted as they are without being incorporated into the picture of what the ideal women are. Furthermore, she claims that the American society is a society that cares just about appearance as an important part of the human existence. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The way the rabbis there were defining these laws was not consistent with how he saw the law. He saw the Pharisees as hypocrites who did not have his perspective on what was going on in the world. For this reason, he rejected the emerging authority of the rabbis at Yavneh. He was also afraid of those who claimed his own heritage but were leading the Jewish people blindly. The purpose of Matthew s gospel was to, tell the story of how the coming of the Messiah has inaugurated a new phase in the history of God s people and to explain how they were expected to live in that new age. By using those kind of sampling system it may causes large amount of distortion. Distortion includes aliasing, jitter, noise, aperture error etc. Aliasing. Some amount of aliasing is inevitable because only theoretical, infinitely long, functions can have no frequency content above the Nyquist frequency . Aperture error results from the fact that the sample is obtained as a time average within a sampling region, rather than just being equal to the signal value at the sampling instant. Jitter or deviation from the precise sample timing intervals. As California s post makes clear it is impossible to discuss Spartacus without bringing politics into it. Any implications about the views or tastes of someone just because they happen to enjoy a work of art (even if accurate and therefore depressing) are highly problematic though. • 40. Bus Rapid Transit Service Design The third article, Bus Rapid Transit Service Design, by American Public Transportation Association focuses on fare evasion and smart cards on BRT. The overall objective of BRT is to enhance transit through travel times that are faster than traditional fixed route bus service. While seen as a premium service, BRT should not be implemented at the expense of existing fixed route service, but rather in a way that complements and enhances other transit services (APTA). With buses coming every ten to fifteen minutes, fare evasions seems to be the big issue. Bus operators do not have time to inspect fares because that would delay the service. In addition, transit agencies are likely to implement a smart card system because it will minimize and reduce fare evasion. BRT routes operate at a high frequency, which leads to an increased percentage of riders. The majority of transit agencies use the proof of verification method, which increases the numbers of fare evaders because fare inspections do not happen very often. Also, bus operators like to keep their buses on schedule so it is impossible for them to inspect fares without delaying the bus. As stated in this article Even with inspectors, some revenue loss due to fare evasion should be expected with off board payment (approximately 4 to 5 percent) (APTA). Furthermore, if transit agencies implement smart cards, riders will only need to tap card reader before boarding the bus allowing fast boarding without defeating the purpose ... • 41. The Cultural Impact Of NAFTA On Mexico Introduction Some argue that globalization will, on the long term, bring all cultures as a unique Western, if not Americanized, culture, while others argue that some cultures will persist in order to keep their own essence and therefore avoid the homogenization of all cultures. Alongside pure tradition, global conflicts, contradictory political regimes and the diversity of economic systems, some cultures are bound to face issues when trying to fully fit in a global western culture, and that is why cultures are adaptable to one another, but with some limits that we will express in this essay. The first elements Zuloaga points out is that the protection of the Mexican cultural industry never came up . (Zuolaga,2001) Indeed, the NAFTA agreements made between major world powers, it is expected that many will question the validity of these agreements on an equality scale for Mexico, known as a weak country on many levels. Alongside job losses and the increase of the dependence of Mexico on the United States, Mexico has deeply been affected on a cultural aspect after the NAFTA was put in place. Indeed, Zuloaga explains in her article that The internal imbalances caused the Mexican people to question their independence and national identity . (Zuolaga,2001) By these words, the author once again shows that cultural identity is well affected by economic integration measures, and thus, globalization. Further on, she also mentions the asymmetry of power among NAFTA s member states, which is undeniably palpable looking at the lack of affirmation Mexico is offered to deliver, here in the cultural ... The positives of this test far outweigh the cons. The test examines everything about a person, from their self esteem to emotions. It can also identify any signs of disorder in an individual. It is also widely used by many different companies to assess the success a person might have in a high risk public safety position. • 43. Argumentative Essay On Electoral College Electoral College The most important time of the year in the USA is when all the citizens gather together and cast a vote for their elect president. During this process most people would say this when Americans really show out for their democracy. Many times we have seen the electoral college not work in favor of the people.. Or maybe it does. The arguments to maintain the Electoral College system are all derived from the notion that it has worked fine thus far. There have been many attempts to reform the electoral system but none of them have been successful. This is due to the fact that no election system is perfect, but the current system has stood the test of time. It has never rejected the winner of a popular vote majority. It always produces clear and immediately known winners, so far. Getting rid of the Electoral College system would be profoundly dangerous. Especially with the way modern ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The electoral college began in 1964 with the constitution of the United States in Article II, Clause II. The total number of electors are 538 and the required number of electoral votes for the candidates running for president to win the presidency is 270. Along the years, many people have argued that the electoral college is not a fair. Twice with the running candidates we have seen elect presidents win due to the electoral college. For example, back in 2000 with Gore vs Bush, Gore had won the popular vote but did not win the amount of electoral votes to win presidency, therefore Bush had won and became president. A second example of this happening is in the recent president election with Clinton vs Trump, Clinton had won the popular vote by nearly 2 million more votes than Trump. In the end, Trump was the first to receive all 270 electoral votes needed to win and therefore won and became our elect president. When electoral votes happen it leaves many to question does our vote really ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. The Industrial Revolution And The French Revolution The Industrial Revolution and the French Revolution are both integral parts of European history. Taking place during the late eighteenth century, each molded different parts of Europe and had different social ramifications. The Industrial Revolution began in the late 1700 s and was the beginning of new innovations along with manufacturing processes. The French Revolution began during the year 1789, with two sides of the population fighting either for or against the monarchy. The French Revolution ended ten years later during the year 1799 with the French overthrowing the monarchy and starting their own form of government. While both revolutions have had a huge impact on modern day Europe, the innovations along with the social changes that occurred during the Industrial Revolution make it more significant than the French Revolution. Before the Industrial Revolution, Britain was comprised of rural areas where most of the population resided. A lot of their time revolved around agriculture as a means of survival and as a way to make an income. They also built and produced most of their clothing, furniture and homes with machines that were simple and small tools. As time went by, people came up with different ideas and changed the methods in which they were able to produce agriculture. This led to an increase in food production which was steadily available to the population that was rising and working factories. These events would become apart of what would start the Industrial ... Prior to the 73rd amendment, there have been attempts at decentralization in India but have vastly failed in various states due to the vested interests of the bureaucracy and state politicians. These vested interests of the powerful in state still pose a threat to the decentralized setup because it establishes dominance of the powerful in state bureaucracy and leads to incidences of corruption as currently witnessed in India. In this view, poverty reduction, especially in rural areas plays a crucial part. The dimensions of poverty reduction in terms of decentralization are preconditioned to democratization, higher sensitivity to local needs and higher community participation. Decentralization in India has the capacity and worked well in terms of administrative devolution but to reap the full benefits of it, it needs to be associated with broad based, multidimensional policies with fiscal devolution and higher participation by the people. Political participation is an important aspect of freedoms entitled to individuals and should not be overlooked. Political freedom is one aspect wherein everyone gets a similar chance to voice their opinions and choices unless the system is weakened by corruption and weak linkages. Eliminating multilevel inefficiencies like that in bureaucracy and market would certainly lead to better standard of living for all. Poverty which creates a domino effect on other aspects of life can be drastically reduced through political empowerment which is provided to the most vulnerable spaces i.e. the rural ...
