The spectacular growth of the automobile as one of the most convenient modes of travel has brought in its wake frustrating problems of parking, accidents, delay, congestion, etc. It is no longer sufficient to build roads of adequate structural strength to cater to the needs of vehicles, but it is equally important that the safe, efficient and comfortable movement of traffic and other road user is ensured on these roads. Highway intersections are nodes of road networks and accident - prone locations. They are the places where vehicles coming from different approaches and moving towards different directions interact and conflict with each other. Due to the conflicts from all users, more traffic crashes could happen at unsignalized intersection as compared with roadway segments. This study is fully based on the existing conditions of unsignalized intersection, including geometric design, sight distance, traffic control devices etc. The problems of parking, accidents and delay are also prevailing in the area under our study i.e. intersection at 26th mile. The intersection is an unsignalized one and therefore, the chances of accidents during the peak hours are very high. Since, it is a meeting point of a national highway and a state highway, the variation in the design speed of both roads also interrupts the traffic flow. Our study on the intersection at 26th mile mainly aims at improving the geometrical as well as the safety features of the intersection like accident control by signal installation, incorporation of proper sight distances, uninterrupted traffic flow without causing crashes, delay, etc.

Nowadays every smart phone is integrated with many helpful sensors. Sensors are originally design to make
the computer program and application convenient. The smart phone sensors like Gyroscope and Accelerometer are used
to estimate road roughness conditions. The collected data is from sensor and easy to manage value in the frequency
domain to calculate magnitudes of vibrations. Well maintained roads contribute to a significant portion of countries
economy. Roadsense application provides information about rules and regulations (Vehicle Papers, Parking Rule,
Distraction While Driving) to be followed while driving the vehicle. Throughout this paper, we discuss the previous hole
detections ways in which has been developed and process a worth effective answers to identify the potholes and bumps
on the roads. In our application mobile sensors are accustomed establish potholes and the bumps. The proposed system
captures the geographical locations of potholes and bumps using GPS sensor among the mobile. These sense data sent
for classification and uses algorithm C4.5, AES256 then this data sends for further processing. Finally the data is send to
the vehicle driver. An android can be used to display the road condition in the map.

According to the fact that there is no renewing of Indonesia Highway Capacity Manual (IHCM) for over 17 years, while in the same way, traffic characteristics has significantly changed, leads the research to know the mismatch of the traffic performance prediction by IHCM. The research object is the traffic characteristics of WR. Supratman Street of Bandung and Affandi Street of Yogyakarta. Vissim software was used for the analysis purpose, then the result will be compared by KAJI software, which known as the product of IHCM. It shows that KAJI predicted the higher value of traffic speed and the lower value of road capacity than Vissim. Since Vissim’s model is statistically valid, it can says that KAJI is no longer suitable to predict the traffic speed and road capacity of WR. India has a road network of an estimated 3.3 million km, which carries nearly 65 per cent of freight and 85 per
cent of passenger traffic. The road traffic is estimated to be growing at an annual rate of 7-10 per cent, while the
vehicle population is growing at a rate of 12 per cent per year.
A Road Safety Audit (RSA) qualitatively estimates and reports on potential road safety issues and identifies
opportunities for improvements in safety for all road users. The Road Safety Audit consists of safety principles
to the design of a new or a rehabilitated road section, to prevent frequent occurrence of accidents or to reduce
their severity.
In this project analysis of one of the major arterial street of Nagpur city will be undertaken. The location of
interest for the analysis is Wardha Road from Morris College Square to Airport Intersection. The roadway
carries considerable amount of traffic throughout the day and it has number of conflict points such as merging of
traffic from flyover. A detailed analysis of Wardha Road will be carried out from the point of view of safety and
supplemental analysis regarding the traffic growth and accident analysis will also be performed.
The project aims to identify deficiencies, developing mitigating strategies, improving public
relations,enhancing credibility of the roads and calculating the crash rate of intersection or length of roads.

A traffic management system is essential for better mobility in terms of cost, safety, comfort, and time savings, among other factors. A traffic management system assures the safety of not only car occupants but also pedestrians crossing the road. The work primarily focuses on analysing traffic volume using software and manual counts on two types of roads, namely broad lane and service lane. This study comprises using the Picomixer STA Smart Traffic Analyzer programme to count the number of different types of vehicles, which are classified as light vehicles Cars, SUVs, etc. , medium loading vehicles trucks, minibuses , and heavy vehicles Trucks, Minibuses, etc . Trailers, Big trucks etc. .On the broad lane, traffic peaks during the day and at night, while it remains light and medium during the middle of the day. This trend also affects the rush in the service lane, which follows a similar pattern. Increased traffic and longer signal halt times encourage drivers to use the alternate service lane, which increases congestion in the narrow service lane and raises the danger of accidents. Longer signal halts were discovered to be the most important factor to consider when choosing a service lane. Reduced signal timing can have an impact on typical service lane and broad lane utilisation, as well as traffic management.
