Abstract Gradual depletion of world petroleum reserves and increase in the exhaust emissions day by day have led to an urgent need for alternative fuels to replace diesel. Vegetable oils biodiesel is considered as an alternative for diesel because of their properties which have been close to pure diesel. In the present study non edible vegetable oils like Honge and Jatropha oils biodiesel and their blends were used as fuel in a constant speed direct injection diesel engine. Further effect of injection pressure on the performance parameters such as brake thermal efficiency, brake specific fuel consumption, brake power and emission parameters such as HC, CO and NOX were investigated in a constant speed direct injection diesel engine with varied injection pressures of 180, 200 and 220 bar.The test results showed that Honge and Jatropa oil biofuel blends are having good performance and emission results at 200 bar injection pressure when compared to 180 and 200 bar injection pressure. The test results also showed that performance and emission results of Honge and Jatropa biofuel blends are near to that of the results obtained for pure diesel and they can be used to replace pure diesel. Biodiesel has become one of the most versatile alternative fuel options for diesel engine applications. The recent biodiesel research in India receives its attention towards tamarind oil based biodiesel. In the present work, biodiesel derived from the tamarind oils extracted from tamarind seeds was used as fuel in diesel engine to investigate its performance. This project presents the results of investigation carried out in studying the properties and behavior of methyl ester of tamarind oil and its blends with diesel fuel in C.I engine. Engine test have been carried out to determine the performance characteristics of tamarind oil. The tests have been carried out in a 4- stroke single cylinder, direct injection diesel engine at different loads. The loads were varied 0% to 90% of the maximum load in steps of 20%. The various blends of tamarind oil biodiesel with diesel, B20, B40, B50, B60 were used in the experiments and the results indicate that brake specific fuel consumption and break thermal efficiency were higher with B60 fuel than that of diesel. The performance parameter like brake specific fuel consumption, brake thermal efficiency, volumetric ratio, mechanical efficiency and air fuel ratio were found for above blends. The results showed that the properties of the above mentioned oils are comparable with conventional diesel. The 60% blends performed well in running a diesel engine at a constant speed of 1500 rpm. So, there is need for suitable alternative fuels for diesel engines. In the present study, Tamarind seed oil methyl esters (TSOME) were prepared through Transesterification and the properties of oil were found within acceptable limits. A compression ignition engine was fuelled with three blends of TSOME (10,20 &30) with diesel on basis of volume and the performance and emission results are evaluated and compared with base line data of diesel. The performance results are shows that there is an increase in BTE and decrease in BSFC, The emission parameters are HC and smoke opacity are lower compared to the diesel. This may be accredited to improve the combustion for TSOME blends. The oxides of nitrogen emissions are almost all nearer for blends compared to the diesel fuel. Addition of DMC (Di-methyl carbonate) fuel additive as 5%, 10% and 15% volume ratios to the optimum blend as TSOME20 for evaluating the engine performance and emission parameters the main intention is to use fuel additives as improve the combustion process and reduce the emissions. Finally the results are concluded that the potentiality of the Tamarind seed methyl ester as alternative fuel for compression ignition engines.

Performance Characterstics of CI Engine Using Calophyllum Inophyllum as Biofu...AM Publications
Most modern searches are directed to alternative fuels because the buffer stock from the petroleum oils reduces with time and the fossil fuels are worst impact on environmental pollution. Biodiesel is derived from oil crops is a potentially renewable and carbon neutral alternative to petroleum fuels. Biodiesel is defined as a transesterified renewable fuel derived from vegetable oils or animal fats with properties similar or better than diesel fuel. In present work, Calophyllum inophyllum seeds were used to produce biodiesel. The transesterification process has been used to produce Calophyllum Inophyllum Methyl Ester (CIME) from raw Calophyllum oil. The properties of fuel are found such as viscosity, flash point, fire point and calorific value. Hence the effect of injector opening pressure (IOP) on the performance of compression ignition (CI) engine fuelled with biodiesel blends (B10, B20 and B30) with diesel fuel is evaluated. The effect of injection pressure on the performance and emission was studied at three different test pressures. From the experimental results optimum IOP is found on the comparison of Brake Thermal Efficiency and Brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC). Performance and emission characteristics are considered to find the optimality of the biodiesel blends.
Experimental investigation and optimization study of combustion chamber geome...IJERD Editor
An experimental investigation and optimization study of various piston geometries was conducted
on Greaves single cylinder direct injection compression ignition engine using straight diesel and blends of rice
bran biodiesel. The three combustion chamber geometries used in this study were Standard toroidal piston
(STP), hemispherical bowl piston (HBP) and Shallow toroidal re-entrant piston (STRP) at compression ratios of
18:1, 19.04:1 and 16.4:1 respectively. Rice bran biodiesel was derived by two step trans-esterification process
with an optimum yield of 86% with molar ratio 1:6, 06% of catalyst (KOH), 90 min reaction time and 65oC
reaction temperature. The performance parameters like brake specific energy consumption, brake thermal
efficiency and the emission parameters like carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons and oxides of nitrogen
were analysed in detail. It was noticed that the BSEC of STRP was 12.1% with diesel and 14.02% with B100
biodiesel blend. The brake thermal efficiency was also found to be improved with biodiesel blend with STRP on
comparison with STP and HBP. The carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon emission was found to decrease with
STRP geometry were as HBP exhibited negative improvement. NOx emission was also found to increase with
STRP.
Due to increase demand of energy, increasing price
of petroleum fuels, depletion of petroleum fuels, and
environmental pollution by these fuel emissions, it is very
necessary to find the alternative fuels. This work focused on use
of hybrid blends of Karanja and Cottonseed oil Biodiesels. In this
work 20% and 25% blends are used and the performance and
emission tests were conducted on single cylinder, 4-stroke, water
cooled CI engine by running the engine at a speed of 1500rpm, at
a compression ratio of 16.5:1 and at an injection pressure of
205bar and performance parameters like BP, BSFC, BTE and
the emissions like CO, HC and NOx are compared. It was found
that the blends gave comparatively good results in respect of
performance and emissions.
A Study of Performance and Emissions of Diesel Engine fuelled with neat Diese...IOSR Journals
A comparison analysis between neat diesel (petro-diesel) and neat Hydnocarpus Pentandra (Marotti) biodiesel has been carried out on a direct injection diesel engine. The biodiesel has been produced from raw Hydnocarpus Pentandra oil by transesterification process by adding methanol and base catalyst. The optimum nozzle pressure of 250 bar and static injection timing of 20° bTDC are considered because these conditions only were found to give minimum emissions and better performance. The engine performance and emissions of diesel engine fuelled with neat diesel and neat Hydnocarpus Pentandra (Marotti) (or) Marotti Oil Methyl Ester (MOME) results are compared and presented. From the test results, it could be noted that, neat MOME gives lower emissions such as hydrocarbon and oxides of nitrogen as compared to neat diesel for all load under steady state condition of the engine.

Biodiesel is one of the most versatile alternative fuel options for direct injection CI engine applications. In the recent research of biodiesel in India receives its attention towards fish oil based biodiesel. The present work aimed at production of biodiesel from the fish oil extracted from marine fish species by transesterification process which is used as fuel in direct injection CI engine to evaluate its performance, and emission characteristics at different injection opening pressures of 190bar, 200bar, 210bar. The different blends of fish oil biodiesel with diesel, B10, B20, B30, B40, B50 and B100 were used in the experiments and the results indicate that brake thermal efficiency were higher with B30 blend fuel than that of diesel at 210bar as compared at 190bar and 200bar. The brake specific energy consumption for B30 blend at 210bar shows better results than that of diesel. By considering these two performance parameters B30 blend at 210 bar injection opening pressure is taken as optimum. At full load for B30 fuel at 210bar injection opening pressure the emission results shows that there is increase in NOx and CO2 emission but reduction in CO and HC emissions by 20% and 15.55% respectively with reference to diesel fuel.

An Experimental and Analytical Study of Emission Characteristics of a Diesel ...IJRES Journal
The engine emission characteristics of B100 Cotton Seed Oil biodiesel (Cotton Seed Oil Methyl Ester) and fossil diesel are presented. The engine tests are conducted on a Four Stroke Tangentially Vertical (TV1) single cylinder Kirloskar 1500 rpm water cooled direct injection diesel engine with eddy current dynamometer at nozzle opening pressure 230 bar maintained with different Static Injection Timings of 22o, 23o, 24obTDC throughout the experiment under steady state conditions at full load condition. From the test results, it could be observed that the Static Injection Timing of 22obTDC gives optimum lower emissions in each category of O2 (% by volume), CO2 (% by volume), CO (% by volume), Smoke Density (HSU), HC (ppm) and NOx (ppm). The research finding shows that Static Ignition Timing of 22o gives lowest emissions for both Cotton Seed Oil Methyl Ester and fossil diesel to operate diesel locomotives without any modification in existing diesel engine.
Experimental investigation of four stroke single cylinder rope brake dynamome...Premier Publishers
The present work is focused on the effects of waste cooking oil based methyl ester and its blends with petrodiesel on a single cylinder, 4 stroke, naturally aspirated, direct injection, water cooled, rope brake dynamometer assisted CI engine at varying loads. The physical and chemical properties of WCO based methyl ester were determined using standard ASTM methods. The suitability of WCO based methyl ester and its blends were evaluated through determining the performance and emission characteristics of CI engine. These results were compared to petrodiesel for validation. By analyzing these results, it was observed that the performance and emission characteristics were shown both satisfactory and unsatisfactory results. This was due to lower calorific value and high viscosity of waste cooking oil methyl ester resulted delay in combustion. From the critical analysis, it was observed that B20 of WCO based methyl ester reserved 32.2% brake thermal efficiency slightly greater than petrodiesel i.e. 32% without any engine modifications. It is concluded that B20 of WCO based methyl ester is suitable with no modification in engine.
Biodiesel production from neem oil –an alternate approachIJERA Editor
In this study, neem oil which is one of the abundant non-edible oils in India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and bangladesh is used for biodiesel production. The conventional 2-step transesterification production of biodiesel using sulphuric acid and potassium hydroxide as catalysts is carried out. The optimum process parameters like reaction time, temperature, catalyst loading and methanol-oil molar ratio were investigated with respect to maximum yield. A maximum yield of 88% biodiesel is obtained via this method. A novel technique to produce biodiesel via complete hydrolysis followed by acid esterification is developed. Optimum reaction conditions were found to be 100ml 0.5N sulphuric acid loading, reaction temperature of 40ºC and reaction time of 2 hours. This resulted in a maximum FFA of 82%. Then acid esterification was carried out at the following reaction conditions of 0.55:1 v/v methanol-oil-ratio, 0.5% v/v H2SO4 acid catalyst loading, 50˚C and 4 hours reaction time. A maximum biodiesel yield of 92% was obtained by this method. The viscosity of biodiesel produced by this method as well as the other physicochemical properties, were found to be in compliance with international standard.

Our results conclude that the break thermal efficiencies of the diesel engine show an increasing trend with both blended fuels and additive mixed blended fuels, slightly higher than the case of pure diesel fuel.
Canola biodiesel an experimental investigation for production of biodiesel a...eSAT Journals
Abstract The experimental investigation was made to estimate the performance of methyl esters of Canola waste cooking oil and their blends in a direct injection diesel engine. The Canola waste cooking oil methyl ester (CWCOME) was prepared through transesterification process by using methanol and KOH as a catalyst. The Canola biodiesel blends were ready in proportion of 10%, 20%, 30% and 100% of biodiesel with diesel. The effects of pure biodiesel and their blends on engine performance, and exhaust emission were studied under various loading conditions. The experimental results concluded that up to 20% of methyl esters did not affect the performance parameter like fuel consumption rate and brake thermal efficiency. On the other hand above CB20 (20% Canola biodiesel with 80% diesel) a decrease in performance and combustion parameter were clearly observed form the study. Keywords: Canola waste cooking oil, Canola methyl ester, Transesterification, Internal combustion engine, Engine performance.
This presentation shows the chemical reaction involved in preparation of biodiesel (ie. transesterification of long chained fatty acids). Jatropha is the most popular and most suitable oil seed in India for producing Biodiesel. This presentation shows Jatropha availability in India. Further, it also shows the test results of different biodiesel blends on 3100 HP locomotive engine that was performed in Research Designs and Standards Organization(RDSO), Lucknow.
Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!

Courier management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.
