This document describes the design of a Braille-oriented classroom to aid visually impaired students. It discusses the development of a system using a PIC microcontroller that can receive text messages wirelessly via Zigbee and convert them to Braille characters using actuators. The transmitter section consists of a PC running a Visual Basic application to send text over Zigbee. The receiver section has a microcontroller that decodes the messages and controls actuators corresponding to Braille dots. The system aims to provide accessible education for visually impaired students using established Braille technology.
