This document proposes an automotive safety system using the Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol. It discusses designing a system with multiple safety applications including engine temperature monitoring, tire pressure monitoring, automatic headlamp dimming, and accident prevention sensing. The system uses sensors interfaced with microcontrollers that communicate over CAN. This allows monitoring of vehicle parameters and priority messaging to enhance safety. The proposed low-cost system aims to reduce accidents by providing real-time information to drivers.
