Blended e-Learning Activities for the Information and Innovation Management Course: Its Outcomes of Graduate Students’Bangkok-Thonburi University. [IEC2012]
This document summarizes a research study on implementing blended e-learning activities for an Information and Innovation Management course at Bangkok-Thonburi University.
1. 90 graduate students participated in blended online and face-to-face learning activities. Research found students achieved good learning outcomes from both e-learning and regular class activities.
2. Students reported highest satisfaction levels with the blended learning approach. They were highly satisfied with content, testing, visual aids, colors and lesson management.
3. Implementing blended e-learning for 4 hours per week with 2 hours face-to-face and 2 hours online was an effective 50/50 combination that supported independent learning for graduate students.

Training Informatics Teachers in Managing ICT Facilities in SchoolsChrysanthi Tziortzioti
In this paper we describe and analyse the results of a training project for 3.200 informatics teachers in Greece. The purpose of the project was to provide new knowledge on ICT to informatics teachers, to help them keep abreast of rapid technological evolution and to enhance their ability to manage school ICT facilities. The training methodology was based on a blended learning approach combining traditional classroom-based approaches with ICT-supported distance learning methods. It included workshops, seminars, in-school practical training, online support and synchronous tele-training. Based on data gathered during and after the training process, a study was conducted in order to assess the overall impact of the project. The investigation focused primarily on identifying teachers’ perceptions about each one of the different components of the blended learning methodology and on assessing the level of satisfaction from their participation in the training courses.

The incorporation of E-learning in both private and public tertiary education can help expedite the learning process. The utilization of fast-paced technology with E-learning also allows for a more flexible and convenient learning process. E-learning platforms can be accessed anywhere as long as there is an internet connection, including at home, the workplace, restaurants or while travelling. This allows for the benefit of distance learning. As such, the current study aims to examine the factor effectiveness of E-learning based on three variables, namely technology, instructors’ characteristics and students’ characteristics and their impact on distance learning. The education system has greatly evolved from the use of apparatus such as chalk and blackboards to the modern use of projectors to conduct lessons. In the current age, E-learning will have an effect on both instructors and teaching technology, aside from the students themselves. As an example, students are expected to know how to utilize these systems in their lessons, instructors must receive training in E-learning systems management and in terms of technology, the E-learning systems must be updated and operated using the most recent upgrades. E-learning is also cost-efficient, less time consuming and reduces the burden on both students and educators.

This research is done by the researcher to investigate kinds of ICT used by English lecturers for non-English Study Program students at IAIN Curup and to investigate the roles of ICT for the English lecturer at IAIN Curup. This research used descriptive quantitative Because the questioner's results were evaluated and explained in the explanatory form.The questionnaire used as the instrument to collect the data. Questionnaire about the ICT used by the English lecturers for non-English Study Program students at IAIN Curup and the role of ICT for English Lecturer. Five processes is used to analyze the data from questionnaires in this research. They are (1) data managing of research result, (2) reading/memoing of result, (3) description of result; (4) classifying of research result and (5) interpreting of research result. The result showed that the lecturers always used three types of ICR in teaching English in the classroom, they were the speaker, educational games, and website resources. The reason for them using three types of ICT because it was easy to use and cheap. In using the ICT, the lecturers have a different opinion about About ICT's role in promoting its learning operations. The use of ICT in the teaching and learning system had 7 (seven) roles. It is about the role of ICT in motivating, attracting, and enhancing the success of learners in studying English.
Usability of BLESS-implemented class room: a case study of mixtioTELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
Conventional learning system and e-learning have their own strengths and weaknesses. To combine both systems, blended learning is created. In Extention Program of Informatics Engineering Faculty at XYZ university most of the students already have jobs. As much 47.5 % of students who take this program have a job in daily office hours. Then, to facilitate the learning process the XYZ university develop learning management system (LMS) by Moodle. XYZ university want to make a learning process with blended learning concept. However, the Moodle sytem has limited function to adapt the blended learning system (BLS). In the aim to improve the class usability in BLS, then this study proposes to apply to Blended Learning System Structure (BLESS) into LMS design. BLESS is offered as a framework which matches to learning and uses a top-down approach. Then, the system design maed it “Mixtio”. At the end of this study, it can be seen the analysis result of the use of BLESS can improve system usability of LMS.

In the 21st century world is moving rapidly into digital media and information, so the role of ICT in education is very important .Higher education in the country is experiencing a major transformation in terms of access, equity and quality. ICT helps to share availability of best practices and best course material in education. ICT based education causes changes in the educational objectives in the conception of the teaching and learning process. In this regard the paper addresses the integration of ICTs in various aspects of higher education in the present scenario.
This paper presents a case study for integrating applied research into a graduate level course in biometrics. The biometrics course at Purdue University has a diverse range of students, with majors varying from Computer Science, Computer and Information Technology, Industrial Technology, and Information Security. Therefore, the knowledge that students bring to the class, with respect to statistical knowledge, etc varies tremendously. Many times the students are senior undergraduates or first year graduate students, and they have not been exposed much to research activities. The challenge for the instructors is to incorporate applied research principles, wrapped around the concepts of biometric technologies and modalities that students can then use in their respective disciplines, and at the same time have a greater understanding of biometrics and their use within their majors. Biometrics is defined as automated recognition of humans using physiological or behavioral characteristics. The field of biometrics has received increasing attention in the last decade which has led to engineering courses integrating biometrics into their respective curricula. Biometric technologies are still in developmental stages, and courses teaching biometric technologies have to be cognizant of its dynamic nature. The goal of this course is to provide these students with an avenue to become involved in the research activities of the lab.

This paper aimed at exploring the results of participant self monitoring using
a checklist instrument in distance learning with flipped classroom setting.
The participants were 11 lecturers of Bioprocess Engineering Study Program
at Institut Teknologi Del (IT Del), Indonesia. The objective of the checklist
instrument was for the lecturers to monitor their students’ understanding
about the lessons given each week. The data generated from the instrument
was analysed descriptively. The results found that pre-class, in-class and outclass
are
important
parts of learning in flipped classroom setting. The data
showed that 56% of students achieved good understading of the knowledge
taught by their lecturers. The same idea as in-class, attendance checking and
interaction between students and lecturers had a key factor in the learning
process. It was found that students’ understanding increased by 20% (very
good), 62% (good) and 18% (moderate) through questions and answers,
discussions, and tests at the end of class. Those were the modes of
interactions that had been done in class. In line with an
out-class checklist, giving assignments and feedback could improve students
understanding into the level of very good (61%), good (27%) and
sufficient (10%). with using a checklist tool, participants in this study selfmonitored
their progress in a flipped classroom while taking distance
learning courses online to improve the quality of their class.
THE RESULTS OF THE BLENDED LEARNING ACTIVITIES COURSE OF INNOVATION AND INFOR...ijma
The objectives of this research were: 1 ) to find the effectiveness of the blended learning management
activity package 2) to compare the learning achievement 3) to study memory retention and 4) to study the
satisfaction with the blended learning activities. The research sample consisted of 3 0 1
st year students
enrolled in the Innovation and Information Technology for Communication and Learning course in the 2
nd
semester of the academic year 2 0 2 0 in the Major of General Science, Faculty of Education, Rajabhat
Nakhon Si Thammarat University. The research tools were: 1) a blended learning management activity
package, and 2 ) an online questionnaire on the satisfaction of the learners with the blended learning
activities. The statistics used in the data analysis were mean, S. D. and hypothesis testing using t-test
Dependent. 1) The developed efficiency was 8 0 .5 8 /8 7 .6 7 , which was the efficiency according to the
specified criteria 8 0 /8 0 . 2 ) The statistically significant comparison of the learning achievement after
receiving the learning management was higher than before the learning management at the .05 level. 3)
The study of memory retention after 2 weeks of learning management was not significantly different at the
.05 level and 4) The overall of the satisfaction blended learning activities were at the highest level.

The delay of the school term in China, caused by the Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,
reinforced the importance of remote teaching. The latter enabled teaching operations to continue
nationwide and provided colleges and universities with opportunities to carry out education and teaching
reforms that are also aligned with the rapid development of technology. Upon considering remote teaching
operations in China University of Geosciences, Beijing, this paper puts forward recommendations for
teaching and education management practices. We propose that colleges and universities break free from
the restraints of traditional teaching methods, establish a security system of online courses, offer high
quality online contents, and accelerate the construction and sharing of effective courses.
The purposes of this study were: i) Developing strategic management of
education and training online tutorial; ii) Testing the feasibility of strategic
management of education and training online tutorial; iii) Finding out the
obstacles in strategic management of education and training online tutorial
development process; and iv) Finding the solutions in overcoming obstacles
in developing strategic management of education and training online tutorial.
This developmental research used the analysis, design, development,
implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) model and involved second year
students of the faculty of teacher training and education in the Kupang
Region, Indonesia. The instruments used in this study were: i) Validation
guidelines for online tutorial material and supporting instruments; ii)
Students’ self-directed learning questionnaire; and iii) Online tutorial
formative test questions. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential
statistical test. The results show that the online tutorial: i) Fulfilled the aspect
of validity in the excellent category; ii) Fulfilled the effectiveness aspect in
the good category; iii) Limitations of the source, difficulties in compacting
the content of material and developing discussion questions are the obstacles
in developing the online tutorial; and iv) The solutions are (utilize
Universitas Terbuka (UT)'s open educational resources (OER), make
concept maps, and keep practicing to make question samples and consult the
questions made to the experts).

A systematic literature study including articles from 2016 to 2022 was done to evaluate the various approaches, technologies, and implementation models involved in measuring student engagement during learning. The review’s objective was to compile and analyze all studies that investigated how instructors can gauge students’ mental states while teaching and assess the most effective teaching methods. Additionally, it aims to extract and assess expanded methodologies from chosen research publications to offer suggestions and answers to researchers and practitioners. Planning, carrying out the analysis, and publishing the results have all received significant attention in the research approach. The study’s findings indicate that more needs to be done to evaluate student participation objectively and follow their development for improved academic performance. Physiological approaches should be given more support among the alternatives. While deep learning implementation models and contactless technology should interest more researchers. And, the recommender system should be integrated into e-learning system. Other approaches, technologies, and methodology articles, on the other hand, lacked authenticity in conveying student feeling.

experiences. The study enhances the education practice of those
teachers handling different graduate programs specifically
those offered by Lyceum of the Philippines University -
Batangas. This study focused on assessing and analyzing the
different important factors pertaining to the readiness and
inclination of the teachers. This involves introduction of
e-teaching on the part of the teachers and e-learning on the part
of the graduate students to their respective programs of study.
The findings revealed that the graduate school teachers are
aware of their vital role in developing effective delivery of
instruction and their openness on the active participation in
conducting classes in an online learning environment. Also, the
university is ready to take the e-teaching program as a mode of
instruction for the Graduate School.

Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
