Prophets
To many Christians the Prophets are seen as being predictors of the Messiah, but it can be argued that
one can take any tidbit of information from a source (not just the bible) and use it, whether within
context or out of context, to support one s argument. In my opinion, as far as the prophets are
concerned, just because the prophets seem to predict the coming of the Messiah because of the
parallels that have been drawn between the books of the prophets and the New Testament does not
necessarily mean that they were able to predict the future it means that the New Testament authors
such as Matthew had either heard or could refer back to the writings of the Old Testament prophets
such as Isaiah, Micah, and Hosea. The problem is not that the ... Show more content on

For example, Hosea names two of his children Lo ruhmah and Lo ammi. As Borg points out, these are
Hebrew phrases that mean not pitied and not my people . Borg also points out that the names represent
a threat because the days are coming when Israel will be not pitied and not my (God s) people .
Chapter two of Hosea describes a divorce which seems to represent the end of the covenant between
God and the Northern Kingdom a symbolic act where by the divorce of Hosea from Gamer for
infidelity represents God s rejection of the Northern Kingdom. In typical fashion, though, Hosea ends
this prophecy with the declaration that God will one day renew the covenant and will take back Israel.
Another example of the allegory in Hosea is in chapter three when Hosea seeks out Gomer again.
Either she sold herself into slavery because of debt or she is with someone who demands money in
order to give her up because Hosea has to buy her back. Even after he takes her name though he
refrains from having sex with her for a while to symbolize the fact that Israel will be without a King
for many years but that God will take Israel back even at a cost to him. Now back to the theme of
social justice and the book of Amos...as Borg points our in his chapter on Reading the prophets again ,
and so it can be found in the bible, Amos speaks out against the wealthy for their exploitation of the
poor. As Borg puts it, he paints vivid and compelling pictures of

Safety Of Non Invasive Bp Monitoring System
Safety of non invasive BP monitoring System The BP monitoring system proposed in this paper will
comprise predominantly of three sensors and a focal facilitator; two PPG sensors, one on the ear flap,
another on the fingertips, with a temperature sensor and the focal organizer, in this manner shaping a
star network topology. The advantage of the star network is that a sensor can be just replaced without
the need to supplant the whole system when the sensor has blunders, so it is anything but difficult to
distinguish blames and to expel parts. A star network can likewise be effectively extended with more
sensors, similar to ECG, EEG sensors, to enhance the execution of the whole medical monitoring
system. The fact that the sensors are connected and powered by the central coordinator helps to reduce
the size of the sensors. The use of micro sensors and microprocessor in the coordinator will make a
wearable body sensor network possible, and which will not affect the patient s daily life. The two PPG
sensors will collect the pulse information and will sent the data individually via wire transmission to
the central coordinator. The PTT, with the temperature data collected by the temperature sensor, as
well as other predetermined information, such as body temperature, age, gender, BMI etc. will be
gathered and stored in the coordinator to compute the instant BP value. The wire transmission between
sensors and coordinator ensures a safe, stable and rapid data transmission. In the

Example Of Predatory Pricing Strategies
Predatory pricing: It s actual effectiveness
Predatory pricing is an anticompetitive strategy that indents to drive competitors out of the market and
gain monopolistic profits. The predatory firm first lowers its price, to an extent which the revenue of
the product does not cover the costs. Their competitors must then lower their prices below their
average cost, thereby losing money as their products are sold. If they do not cut their prices, they will
lose customers due to higher prices; if they do cut their prices, they will eventually go bankrupt.
(DiLorenzo, 1992)
If the predatory firm manages to survive longer, which in most cases they will, they will eventually
gain a monopolistic position. The modern antitrust law intends to prevent damage to consumer welfare
and reduce the incentive of achieving excellence by outlawing anticompetitive behaviors. However,
presently some people still believe that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Koller, the author of The Myth of Predatory Pricing, after judging 23 cases that contains enough
information, found out that actual predation was attempted in seven cases (30 percent) and succeeded
in only four (17 percent). However other researchers did not come up with similar results. For
example, Zerbe and Cooper examining the same cases beginning in 1940 and updated to 1982
concluded that predatory pricing was present in 27 out of 40 studied cases. (Bolton, P. and Joseph, B.
and Riordan, M., 1999). These studies are only based on court cases and the settlements, which are
more likely to be strong cases, have not been accounted in the study. So, the actual number of cases of
a business conducting predatory pricing will be even more. Even Koller, who is against the legitimacy
of predatory pricing, have to admit that 17% of predatory pricing actually worked. Considering the
more recent study, more advanced techniques, like econometric measures, have been

My National Identity Lies With Hong Kong Essay
I was born in Hong Kong. Although Hong Kong is not a nation and is a part of China, my national
identity lies with Hong Kong. After the British took control of Hong Kong, Hong Kong became more
prosperous and adopted a capitalist system (Rothman, 2014). Due to the democratic freedom that the
capitalist system gave, the citizens of Hong Kong became pro democracy (Rothman, 2014). Hence,
before Hong Kong was back under China s control, the U.K. and China agreed upon one country, two
systems (Rothman, 2014). One country, two systems means that under China, Hong Kong is allowed
to use the capitalist system they have adopted. After the re assimilation of Hong Kong, tensions
between China and Hong Kong rose due to political and cultural differences (Chan, 2014). Many
citizens of Hong Kong believe that calling themselves Chinese is demeaning and instead refer to
themselves as Hongkongers (Chan, 2014). I also share that belief which is why my national identity
lies with Hong Kong and not China. Hong Kong s national identity is unique because Hong Kong was
once under British control. Their culture is a mix of Western and Chinese. Hence, the role of gender
and the appearance of a family in the self image of the nation vastly differs from China.
The culture of Hong Kong has shaped my national identity to reject being recognized as Chinese.
Often I am prompted to indicate my country of birth, although Hong Kong is not a country, I always
put Hong Kong. I pride myself on being a

The Case Of Dukes V. Wal Mart Stores, Inc. Essay
SUMMARY
In the case of Dukes v. Wal Mart Stores, Inc., the District Court of the Ninth Circuit certified a class of
1.5 million females currently and formerly employed by Wal Mart Stores, Inc. The plaintiff class
sought injunctive and declaratory relief, punitive damages, and back pay; due to the alleged violation
of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act in regards to alleged discrimination against female employees in
promotions and wages. In Wal Mart Stores, Inc. v. Dukes, the petitioner filed an appeal to the Court of
Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and then the United States Supreme Court to challenge the class
certification s validity as well as the class s entitlement to monetary relief under Federal Rule of Civil
Procedure 23.
QUESTIONS PRESENTED
Under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 23(b)(2) can claims for monetary relief be certified and if so,
under what circumstance; and was the class defined by the district court in Dukes v. Wal Mart Stores,
Inc. consistent with Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 23(a)?
BRIEF ANSWER
No. The certification of the plaintiff class in Dukes v. Wal Mart Stores, Inc. was not consistent with
Rules 23(a), because the class does not have enough commonality in the nature of their discrimination
question to prove the alleged reasons for those decisions in promotion and wages. Additionally, the
class s backpay claims were not properly certified under Rule 23(b)(2) because the rule only can apply
when a single, indivisible remedy would provide relief

Essay on Ethical Issues on Immigration
Ethical Issues on Immigration There are many issues in the United States. Some of them are more
distraught than others. One issue that has recently had a lot of controversy would be immigration laws.
Should we put a stop to immigrants coming over United States boarders? Should the immigrants
already in the U.S.A. be allowed to stay? These are some questions being asked by today s society.
Immigrants are not all bad; some are very useful to the United States. In society today, it is easy for
some people to find issues with immigrants in America, but people also need to remember America
was formed by immigrants. Immigrants come from all over the world. Some immigrants are legal and
some are not. According to the Census Bureau, in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Utilitarian s feel that solving the problem is by making the majority happy. But what if the majority is
illegal immigrants, then the Americans get overruled and there is no solution. By passing laws that
prevent illegal immigrants coming over the boarder it does not please everyone. It is hard for the
government to find a solution that would please everyone. Many people feel that the only way to solve
this problem would be to stop all immigrants from crossing the U.S. boarder. Then what does the
United States become? It does not stay what America is supposed to be a land of opportunity. By
passing laws that does not please everyone there will always be some conflict. There will always be
that one person that does not agree with what the American government decides to do. Relativist feels
that as long as people have different views, then those views should be put into consideration. Some
people are for immigration and some are strongly against it. Immigration is a good thing it helps
expand our market and provides more laborers. One thing that some people believe to be a positive
factor in illegal immigration is, illegal immigrants that come to America and begin working and pay
taxes but do not use any other benefits that tax payers in America use. According to Nofziger (2010),
While undocumented workers have extreme difficulty accessing services, they still

Modernism And Modernism Essay
The sixties was an era of radical change. With the Civil Rights movement, Vietnam War, the
assassinations of President Kennedy and Martin Luther King, plus the success of the moon landing,
people all around the world and especially in the United States were beginning to see a change in the
world itself and the minds of the people in it. The sudden ability to receive messages from across
oceans and the ability to travel internationally much safer and quicker also changed the way people
looked at themselves and their fellow neighbors. The Norton Anthology of World Literature Vol. F
explains this: At the beginning of the twentieth century, the world was interconnected as never before.

The main purpose is to understand the two philosophies, and how they effected the period in which
they were born. From doing this, we can show the impact of them effected not only in the sixties, but
also today. The first genre of fiction that was born during these times was Postmodernism. Its
predecessor, Modernism, also came from the events that were happening around the world, especially
through the newfound interconnectedness with different nations through new technological
communications, and through easier and safer travel. Through this, the world experienced a change in
its thinking, interpreting, and defining. This is explained better through The Norton Anthology of
World Literature Vol. F: Writers around the world responded to these cataclysmic events with an
unprecedented wave of literary experimentation, known collectively as modernism, which linked the
political crises with a crisis of representation a sense of that the old ways of portraying the experience
were no longer inadequate. The modernists therefore broke away from such conventions as standard
plots, verse forms, narrative techniques, and the boundaries of genre. (Norton Anthology of World
Literature Vol. D) It was through this genre that Postmodernism was born of. When other problems
began to settle and others began to rise, its birth changed things even further than its predecessor.

Descriptive Dining At Home
You finally meet a significant other and you want to impress them with an appetizing home cooked
meal. Unfortunately, your idea of fine dining at home is Raman Noodles served in a bowl and not in
the foam cup. Raman Noodles, even served in a bowl, will not impress any date. Now picture yourself
sharing a warm, freshly crafted pizza. A pizza with fried chicken smothered with provolone cheese. A
pizza with a pop of flavor provided by bell peppers. A pizza seamlessly put together with ranch
dressing. This simple recipe for chicken ranch pizza will make you resistible to any date. To complete
the following recipe, you will need one boneless chicken breast (an ideal size for the chicken breast is
the size of your hand), soy sauce, lemon juice, a bell pepper, shredded provolone cheese, salt, Cayenne
pepper, flour, olive oil, one large egg, and one frozen cheese pizza (preferably Di Giorno rising crust).
First you need to prep the chicken breast. If your chicken breast is frozen, let your chicken breast
thaw. To speed up the thawing process, you may use a microwave. However, set the microwave to
defrost mode before thawing your chicken, which will prevent the chicken from drying out and will
keep the chicken moist. Thaw the chicken, on defrost mode, for approximately five to six minutes.
After thawing the chicken, take a sharp knife and make a horizontal cut across the middle of the
breast. Always act carefully when working knives. Remember to keep the blade down and always cut
away from yourself. Cut the chicken into long strips with roughly one quarter inch of thickness.
Reducing the thickness of the breast will reduce the amount of time needed to cook the chicken fully.
Now make a vertical cut every half inch to both strips of chicken. The chicken pieces should resemble
the size and shape of your middle and ring finger combined. After cutting the chicken, wash hands
thoroughly with warm water and soap. Always wash your hands after touching raw meat to prevent
cross commination. Do not touch any other ingredient before washing your hands.
Next you need to assemble the marinade for the chicken. Start with a deep dish baking pan and add
one and half cups of soy sauce or until the bottom of the pan is

I Am A Better Person Who Has Changed My Own Potential
At the beginning of this course, I kept calling it a therapy course. I was under the impression I was
going to come out of the class a better person who has taken the time to make changes and reflect.
However, as the course progressed I recognized that the class is what you put into it. The class wasn t
going to change me by doing these activities, but it was how these activities challenged me shift my
priorities and simply become more aware. The only change that was going to be made was if I saw the
need for it and I was committed. I think the course overall encouraged us, the students, to become
more self aware in many different aspects of our lives. In my case, I think I gained the most from the
constant discussion of the importance of reflection and consciousness. Although, we focused on
certain topics throughout the semester like time management, diet, and gender issues; I think the main
objective was to improve my connection with myself and to realize my own potential. I believe that
each person should gain something different by the end of the semester because the discussions and
activities all have a varying affects. I assume that the level of immersion from students differed
depending on the activity and how the student determined its importance. However, I would think that
everyone in class, including myself, is able to be more open, honest, and truthful with myself.
Additionally, I think this course emphasized the importance for students to always strive to

B. Resistance to accidental login:
Our system is more resistance of accidental login Since the probability of correctly responding to

Pal(L)=(1/8)^L
Fig. shows the Pal(L) for different values of L. However,
since the password length is a more secret, if hacker s want to hack the system he first of all guess the
user password then he try to hack but as the probability distribution of the lengths of the passwords to

password length is 1/8.

Democratic Ideals Shaped America And The Pursuit Of Happiness

Ernie Harwell. Democratic ideals shaped America with its Common Democratic Ideals. American
society still functions with these Common Ideals. Life, liberty and the Pursuit of happiness, The
Common good, Justice, Equality, Diversity, Truth, Popular Sovereignty, Patriotism are all part of the
Democratic ideals. If the United states did not have these ideas our country would not be a country.
There are seven words that pop into individuals head when you are discussing the Constitution, Life,

individuals have the privilege to live. Appears to be sufficiently simple however there are still various
nations around the globe where this fundamental right is not the situation. In the United States it s the

Stereotype Of A Quarterback And The Quarterback
Stereotype of a Quarterback What do you think a typical quarterback looks like ? You probably think
of a tall, white and probably a pretty good looking man. Over the fall break my father and I talked a
lot about football . I asked him the same question and he responded by saying A typical quarterback to
me is a guy who has some height to him, white skin, the smartest player on the team and usually one
of the better looking guys on the team. I was not surprised to hear this from my father , as he is a
former quarterback himself and has been around football for a while . We also talked about other
steryotypes that come across the position, when people think of quarterbacks. It varies across different
levels of football but when you think of an NFL quarterback he is usually 6 2 or taller and white.
Some of the most popular quarterbacks in today s NFL include Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Peyton
Manning. All of these guys fit that stereotype. However, there are also some popular quarterbacks of
color who are helping break the stereotype , such as : Cam Newton , Russell Wilson and Michael
Vick. These men are helping break that stereotype by how they have performed in recent years. It was
not really that long ago that where blacks and whites did not get along in the best. Every state in the
south had Jim Crow laws in place , for about one hundred years (1870s 1965). These laws came into
place after the south was defeated in the Civil War and slavery was ended. The laws

Goal Setting Is An Best Way For Students With Track And...
Goal setting is an excellent way for students to track and improve upon physical fitness levels. The
importance of being able to set goals and to try to achieve them is that each individual student can
assess where they are and set goals to improve. Not all students can achieve the same fitness
standards. Some students are born with more muscle mass or more fast twitch muscle fibers than other
students. Some students have asthma or other physical difficulties that make it difficult to measure up
with other students when all students are required to get a certain score on a fitness test to get an A.
Using goal setting where all students can be successful by reaching their goals and showing
improvement could be a positive influence for future motivation. While problem based learning can
help students to learn and use goal setting (Hubball 2006), goal setting may not always help students
to achieve greater fitness levels. Hill (2015) found that those students who set goals over an 18 week
period did not have any significant improvement over those students that did not set goals on the pacer
and push up tests. Similarly, in another study looking at the effects of goal setting on Native elders
found only a weak correlation between goal setting and improvement on the amount of steps taken in
a day using a pedometer (Sawchuck 2011). The problem with this study was that the researchers set
the goals for the participants. It may be more important that students set their own

14 sports, cultural and social events, and a service day create the diversity offered by the Games (
Maccabi USA , 2017). The overall community comes from meeting other Jewish teens from across the
country. Weaknesses: The main weakness of the games is the Jewish requirement of most
stakeholders. 3% of the US population is Jewish meaning that most athletes and host families are not
eligible to participate ( Vital Statistics, 2016). Opportunities: The largest opportunities are creating
ongoing revenue streams, energizing Tucson JCC staff, and creating a sense of community (T.
Rockoff, Personal Communication, October 10, 2017). Ongoing revenue streams will come from the
significant economic impact on Tucson whereas energizing staff and creating a sense of community
will derive from the morale boost of successfully hosting the Games. Threats: Threats facing the
Games are potential volunteers and host families traveling during the summer and the unpredictable
summer weather of Tucson. The two stakeholders are necessary to host the Games successfully and
the dangerous weather could lead to delays and injuries. Trends: The most important trend is the 1%
decline in the Civic, Social, and Youth Organizations industry (Longo, 2017). This is due to the
preference of young teens to watch TV and use social media, thus making the narrow target market
even smaller as the industry declines. See appendix C for more detail. Target Market The primary

Operation Searchlight And The Bangladesh Genocide
After the assault on the university, the military continued on to the countryside. Those who disagreed
with the western Pakistani ideas concerning language, religion, and direction of the country would
experience varying degrees of violence at the hands of the military junta. Upon entry, the junta would
pillage and plunder the village houses and force the people out of their homes. Moreover, as a form of
psychological terror, the military forced the people to line up in front of one another, proceeding to
shoot down line after line in front of the remaining crowd. This technique was also used during the

At the beginning of the genocide following the start of Operation Searchlight and the attack on Dhaka
University there was mass confusion and hysteria among the people. All over, Eastern Pakistan people
were wandering aimlessly and in April around thirty million had started to flee in order to escape the
grasp of the military. Ten million refugees went into India and overwhelmed the country s resources,
which eventually became a catalyst for Indian military intervention. It is worthy to note that a large
number of these refugees were Hindu. Additionally, the influx of the Bengali people in India was
estimated to be 10 million refugees and it is estimated that 1.5 million stayed in India after Bangladesh
gained its independence (GenocideBangladesh). This increase in refugees resulted in a mix of cultures
as well. Consequently, this was a negative impact on East Pakistan, and subsequently Bangladesh, for
the long term because their intellectuals had fled, depriving them of ideas, new thoughts, and
innovation, and proper leadership that could have led them to a higher position in the world today due
to the absence of these important people in that time (GenocideBangladesh). Due to the systematic
raping of women throughout the country, a large number of females were forced to bear children that
they did not want. This was mentally scarring and physically draining to these women and their
families. Not to forget that, in the Middle East, it is socially taboo for a women to have sex out of

Analysis Of The Poem The Riveter
Rosie the Riveter is a symbolic figure and has helped shape America into what it is today. The bright
yellow back round, with bold words standing out in the navy speech bubble, We can do it . The focus
of the poster is much more than the words written. This poster is of the women of the modern world
Rosie. She is wearing a jean shirt with rolled sleeve as she flexes her arm to show her strength. She
has a red bandana around her head holding up her hair. She gives a twist to what the traditional
women looked like during the 1940 s. She was there to give women a sense of empowerment and
motivation to go to work. The poster Rosie the Riveter was created for the Saturday Evening Post
May 29, 1943 for the Memorial Day issue. The artist J. Howard Miller created one of the most iconic
posters of all time. The Rosie the Riveter poster was made as propaganda to encourage women to join
the workforce, as the men fought in World War 2. The meaning behind the poster Rosie the Riveter
has stayed the same throughout time, giving women a sense of entitlement. It intentionally made
women motivated to do their part and to support the war and join the workforce. The poster did
wonders as women headed to the factories. They were needed, so women put their work boots on and
went to work, as the men went off to war. Rosie the Riveter was the face if a new generation of
women by giving them the chance to be independent. This helped create mass social change. As men

During the French Revolution, there were three different social categories that separated you

The nobility had to pay little taxes, but nothing compare to what peasants had to pay. The commoners
were really the foundation of France. According to the DBQ, document six it states, The Third Estate
is the People and the People is the foundation of the State; it is in fact the State itself. The commoners
lived poorly because of all the taxes they were giving directly to people who were above them.
According to the DBQ, Document one, it states, Lands held by the nobility are taxed very little. Lands
held by commoners are taxed very heavily. So by this information I believe the peasants were poor
because of paying high taxes. They didn t have much food, no freedom nor money, raggedy clothes,
they had to work extremely hard, they had poor living conditions, and mistreatment of the monarchy,
the clergy, and the nobility. The peasants were beginning to feel frustrated and outraged by the
Monarchy s inability to adhere, to the change of life that the peasants were demanding

The World War I And The Red Scare
In the early 20th Century, the United States endured a time of political unrest. During World War I,
fears of socialism and communism entered the psyche of the United States and culminated in the Red
Scare. Hundreds of American citizens particularly immigrants suffered unprecedented arrests and
deportations (Fariello 4). During this time, Charles Schenck, secretary of the Socialist Party of
America, actively opposed the war. Due to Schenck s efforts, the organization distributed thousands of
leaflets criticizing conscription and encouraging readers to assert rights against the draft and
intimidation (Schenck v. United States 1). In the 1919 case Schenck v. United States, the defendants
were charged with violating the Espionage Act of 1917 by causing and attempting to cause
insubordination in U.S. military forces by distributing a document denouncing the draft in name of the
13th amendment (Schenck 1). When insurgency and fear continued, Congress amended the Espionage
Act with the Sedition Act, which limited many more forms of speech (Fariello 14).
At this point, society had to decide whether these limits on speech aligned with its interests. Holmes
similarly had to consider whether to forfeit his belief that ideals in the Constitution and its
Amendments exist absolutely (Cohen 27). In the end, he decided that a balance between absolute
ideals and the responsibilities of Congress must prevail as the most fair compromise or standard. In
this fairness, the Court affords

Pursuing the American Dream in My Antonia by Willa Cather...
Pursuing the American Dream in My Antonia by Willa Cather In the novel, My Antonia, by Willa
Cather, everyone seems to be trying to pursue the American Dream. While they all have different ideas
of just exactly what the American Dream is, they all know precisely what they want. For some, the
American Dream sounds so enticing that they have traveled across the world to achieve their goal.
They work hard to fit in and succeed, but, as in the case of Mr. Shimerda, are not always successful.
One girl who was chasing the American Dream was Lena Lingard, a small farm girl from a poverty
stricken family. Lena had one thing on her mind: money. To her the American Dream was wealth. She
wanted freedom from worry ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She also went to many dances over the summer months. With all of her beautiful dresses, many of the
young men began to notice her as they never had before. Soon Lena began to get a reputation that
many hired girls got, that of a brazen hussy. Everyone thought that she would wind up marrying the
wrong man and ruin her life, but Lena had different plans. She did not listen to anything that they said
about her. As soon as she could, she got her own dress shop in Lincoln and thrived with it. After a
while she moved to San Francisco and did even better. She did not let the stereotype of the hired girls
get in her way of the American Dream. She was determined to reach her goal and with all of her hard
work she did just that. Some families traveled a great many miles to try to win the American Dream.
The Shimerdas came all the way from Bohemia and gambled everything they had to make it in
America. Antonia, the oldest daughter, knew that to succeed in raising her very own family she needed
to learn the customs of this new country. With this in mind, she asked for the help of Jim Burden, her
closest neighbor. Every day she learned a little bit more from him. He taught her farming methods and
other practices of farm life. As she picked up the language, she began to do very well in her new
surroundings. She helped out with all of the farm work and did an excellent job. She worked in Black

Comparing Christian Liberty, Utopia, and The Prince Essay
Christian Liberty, Utopia, and The Prince
A Christian is a perfectly free lord of all, subject to none...A Christian is a perfectly dutiful servant to
all, subject to none. (Luther Pg. 7) These lines show what Luther is truly about. In Christian Liberty,
Luther believes in the reestablishing of God as the inner authority. In Utopia, Thomas More believes
the power should be in one group and that the rest of the common people in the society should all be
equal like a communist society. In The Prince, Machievelli believes that the power is within the
prince. I choose Christian Liberty as the best form of authority because it is the closest to being an
honest and true way of authority. Although none of the books portray ... Show more content on

Is not such a soul most obedient to God in all things by this faith? ...What more complete fulfillment is
there than obedience in all things? This obedience, however, is not rendered by works but by faith
alone. (Luther page 13) In this passage Luther is explaining the inner man versus the outer man. He is
showing that if you trust and believe in God then he will never steer you wrong but if you don t then,
what greater wickedness, what greater contempt of God is there than not believing his promise...but to
make God a liar or to doubt that he is truthful? That is to ascribe truthfulness to one s self but lying
and vanity in God?
This quote shows the dismal side of not believing in God and his supreme power and authority. If you
were to doubt him whom would you go to for salvation once he gave up on you?
Man has a two fold nature, a spiritual and a bodily one. According to the spiritual nature, which men
refer to as the soul, he is called a spiritual, inner or new man. According to the bodily nature which
men refer to as flesh, he is called a carnal, outward, or old man. (Luther page 7) We have first talked
about the spiritual aspect of a person now we are going to talk about the physical aspect.
Now let us turn to the second part, the outer man. Here we shall answer all those who, offended by the
word faith and by all that

Impact Of Biodiversity On Social, Environmental, And...
A. Introduction
Humans have existed since 200,000 years but the Earth has existed around 4.5 billion years. Nature
has provided us with everything we have today food, medicines, materials, chemicals, metals,
minerals etc. It can only keep providing us when we maintain the right environment for it to exist.
This environment depends on the biodiversity of Earth. The number of species of plants, animals and
microorganisms and the various genes in these species, different ecosystems such as deserts,
rainforests and coral reefs are all part of a biologically diverse Earth. Hence Biodiversity impacts
everything. We will discuss how Biodiversity plays a crucial role on social, environmental, and
economic factors. We will also discuss what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If they cannot be continued indefinitely then they are not sustainable. It is the most crucial pillar of
sustainability. Maintaining biodiversity balance and reducing our carbon footprint are steps towards a
sustainable future. How much resources we consume and how much we give back determines how
well we are sustainably developed.
Therefore, a combination of social, economic, and environmental factors together play an important
role. One pillar alone cannot be the answer to solving the loss of biodiversity issue. A battle fought on
all fronts is a battle won.
C. IMPACT OF PRESENT GLOBAL LOSS OF BIODIVERSITY ON THE FUTURE
Loss of Biodiversity will affect the life cycle of several species which depend on each other for
survival. This dependence determines the survival of species and the change of our environment.
Exploiting the biodiverse species to extinction will result in desertification, rise in carbon dioxide in
the atmosphere, increased pollution, increased droughts, increase in loss of items that we derive from
nature for our own survival such as honey, fruits, vegetables, medicines etc. The greed to exploit will
result in our ultimate extinction If a sustainable solution isn t provided to prevent loss of biodiversity.
If we continue the path we are on without taking steps to balance the equation the planet will

The Effectiveness of Deep-Breathing Exercises After...
The purpose of this evidence based nursing practice paper is to discuss the effectiveness of deep
breathing exercises in the care of a patient who is recently postoperative a coronary artery bypass graft
surgery (CABG). It will also critique two professional research studies on this topic, and will answer
three essential questions about each study. What are the results of the study? Are the results of the
study valid? How are the findings clinically relevant to this patient? The patient, who will be referred
to as Mr. Doe throughout this paper, is a 58 year old male with coronary artery disease. His medical
history includes angina, shortness of breath, diabetes type II, as well as hypercholesterolemia. He was
scheduled for a CABG ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The two studies that will be critiqued are over the effectiveness of deep breathing exercises in
reducing postoperative pulmonary complications after CABG surgery. Study #1 showed that patients
performing deep breathing exercises after CABG surgery had significantly smaller atelectatic areas
and better pulmonary function on the fourth postoperative day compared to a control group
performing no exercises, (Westerdahl, Lindmark, Eriksson, Friberg, Hedenstierna, Tenling, 2005). .
This study began with 115 patients that were all undergoing CABG surgery at a university hospital
and were randomized to a deep breathing group that performed deep breathing exercises
postoperatively and to a control group that performed no breathing exercises, (Westerdahl, Lindmark,
Eriksson, Friberg, Hedenstierna, Tenling, 2005). Of the 115 patients in study #1, 23 were excluded for
various reasons, leaving a total of 90 patients participating. This study was a well controlled
randomized controlled trial conducted at one site with fewer than 100 patients, and according to this
information, the study is valid, and the use of deep breathing exercises in reducing pulmonary
complications postoperatively is likely to be effective. According to this study, Mr. Doe would benefit
from performing deep breathing exercises because he is a postoperative CABG patient, and the study

Discoveries And Inventions Are Not Born From Nothingness
Discoveries and inventions are not born from nothingness. If necessity were the mother of invention,
an apt father would be a combination of curiosity, scientific temperament and research skills. With the
firm belief that I possess these skills, I aspire to fulfill my dream of pursuing advanced research in an
application oriented field, by obtaining my Masters degree in Electrical engineering. As a stepping
stone toward this dream, I am pursuing my Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics
Instrumentation Engineering from SRM University, ranked first among many private institutions in
India. This has laid a strong foundation for my graduate studies. There are two reasons why I believe

included constructing a traffic light control system using 89S51 microcontroller, and building an A/D
and D/A converter using basic components such as ICs, diodes, transistors and resistors. Also, I
successfully built an obstacle detector and line following robot using Arduino Uno as the
microcontroller. Such projects along with courses like Digital Signal Processing, Robotics and
Automation, Power Electronics and Microprocessor Microcontroller bolstered my idea of pursuing
graduate studies. My interest in this field has been instrumental in conceptualizing two very crucial
projects that could directly touch people s lives and impact their well being. The first one was
designing a cost effective temperature controlled baby incubator, and incorporate auditory systems.
The biggest complication was to ensure the product s efficacy and safety at low cost. Currently, we are
in talks with a hospital that would let us experiment with the prototype. The other challenging project
I undertook was to devise a stress meter using Fuzzy logic and case based reasoning (CBR). The
concept involved developing a wearable galvanic skin response meter for sweat level monitoring in

Evaluation Of The Remote Laboratory Emulation System
1. Goal Lab 01, being the first lab, facilitated the initial creation of our VMware vApp along with our
preliminary network within. The main goal of the lab was to familiarize oneself with the Remote
Laboratory Emulation System (RLES) and create a basic network utilizing the system. The basic
network we created with RLES had 4 requirements: a pfSense router, a Red Hat Enterprise Linux
(RHEL) 7 server, a monitoring solution, and a wiki. By installing and configuring these operating
systems / services, I was able to better familiarize myself with both RLES and the services
themselves. An important part of creating and administering a network is the selection of what
services and operating systems to use. Some choices were specified in the lab instructions, such as the
requirement to use RHEL 7, while others were left for me to decide as the System Administrator. For
the router, I went with the suggested option of pfSense, and learned both how to install and configure
the OS. My next action was to install and configure a Wiki so I could document all following installs.
I chose to create a separate VM for the wiki running Ubuntu 14.04 as I am most familiar with this OS.
The wiki solution itself I chose to install was MediaWiki, thus I learned how to install and configure
said service. The final server I configured was a RHEL 7 machine, as specified in the lab. I chose
Nagios 4 as my monitoring solution, and the learning curve was quite steep, but achievable. Besides

Description Of Nicaragu The Spanish Word For Water
Description of Nicaragua
The name Nicaragua comes from a combination of two words, nicarao and agua . The Nicarao are the
Indian tribe that were occupying the shores of Lake Nicaragua when the Spaniards arrived in the 1500
s. Agua is the Spanish word for water.
The Nicarao tribe originally immigrated to Nicaragua from Mexico, after the fall of the Aztec empire.
According to legend, the Nicarao were directed to travel south until they found an island with two
volcanoes in the middle of a lake. An interesting Nicaragua fact is that the Nicarao tribe found
Ometepe Island with two volcanoes in the middle of Lake Nicaragua, realized they had found the
promised land, and then setttled on the shores of Lake Nicaragua.
Geography
The Republic of Nicaragua is bound on the north by Honduras, on the south by Costa Rica, on the east
by the Caribbean Sea and on the west by the Pacific Ocean. Nicaragua is a tropical country located
between 11 and 17 north latitude.
Nicaragua, about the size of Iowa, is the largest country in Central America and covers an area of
130,000 Sq. Km. Nicaragua has the largest area of arable land in all of Central America, with 12.1
million acres, of which 8.9 million area ideal for agriculture and 3.2 million for cattle ranching. Lago
de Nicaragua (Lake Nicaragua), a large freshwater lake, borders the Pacific Ocean, Low Mountains

Gung Ho Movie Analysis
Gung Ho Movie 1. What is your opinion of Hunt Stevenson? What kind of leader was he? Was he
effective? In my opinion, Hunt Stevenson, is a good leader. In the situation of the car plant, a cross
cultural leadership was needed no only because of the Japanese but for the expectations that the owner
had from the American employees. In order for the American workers to understand and adapt to the
expectations, they needed a leader who was able to make them see that they were expected to work in
a different way. This is a very difficult task, and Hunt Stevenson was able to do this, which in my
opinion is admirable. In addition, this could have been a very stressful situation, but he managed to
carry out the project in the best possible way. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For that reason, they went back to the car plant determined to attain the original goal. 4. What
evidence can you show, through using examples from the movie, that there was a decline in the
economy of the town? This company was the main source of jobs in this town. In one part of the
movie, Hunt Stevenson girlfriend mentions how other businesses were shutting down after the car
plant was closed. Therefore, this shows how there was a decline in the economy of the town. This was
a chain reaction. The explanation to these collapse of the economy of Haleyville is that since income
went down, the purchasing power of the citizens was not the same, and other businesses could no
longer operate without customers. 5. What were some of your favorite humorous parts of the movie? I
found really funny when Oishi realized that they were going to shut down the car plant. He went to the
river and Hunt Stevenson though he was going to drown himself. Also, whenever the employees were
encouraged to do some exercise routines before starting to work. Another funny part was when Buster
came back to the car plant, he was walking so funny and felt so powerful I guess hahaha! 6. Give me
your overall thought of the movie and tell me if you think the movie is still relevant today I personally
believe that this is a great movie. The story of the auto plant in Haleyville exemplified many of the
topics that I have studied in different classes as business major. Since my major is

The Neuman System Model And Its Impact On Patients And...
Betty Neuman is a renowned nursing theorist who developed the Neuman System Model. This model
emphasizes stress and the impact it can have on patients and nursing care. Key concepts of this theory
include preventions, stressors, and lines of defense. Neuman also addresses the metaparadigms of
nursing, health, human being, and environment in relation to her model. The Neuman System Model
is recognized by nurses across the globe, and a Neuman System Practice Center has been established
to help develop her theory (Gigliotti, 2012, p. 298). This theory can be utilized in any nursing care and
is inspiration for other nursing theorists.
The Neuman System Model is an open system that responds to stressors in the internal, external, and
created environments (Masters, 2015). The model can be applied to physiological, psychological,
sociocultural, developmental, and spiritual nursing care making it very diverse in applicability. The
Neuman System Model discusses many concepts. One major concept is the idea of stressors and their
affects on the patient system. Neuman defines stressors as any phenomenon that might penetrate both
the flexible and normal lines of defense, resulting in a positive or negative outcome (Masters, 2015).
Types of stressors include intrapersonal, interpersonal, and extrapersonal. Intrapersonal stressors are
those that occur within the client system boundary and correlate with the internal environment
(Masters, 2015). Interpersonal stressors are those that

is a major challenge in several provinces where the incidence of poverty is much larger in magnitute.
The sectoral composition of the economy has changed from that of an agriculture based economy to
one dominated by the services sector. The services sector has been the highest contributor to GDP, at
56 per cent, followed by the industrial sector at 26 per cent and the agricultural sector at 18 per cent in
2004. Liberalization, private sector participation and increased competition have contributed to the
expansion of the services sector, with buoyant performance in transportation, communications,
financial services, trade and tourism. The performance in the agricultural sector is an important
determinant of
GDP, as this sector directly accounts for around one fifth of national output and employs over one
third of the workforce. Its importance is larger than these figures indicate because of links between
agriculture, manufacturing and services.
The manufacturing base is dominated by the apparel industry, although the production of food and

Significance Of The Zoo Story
II. The Zoo Story by Edward Albee
The Zoo Story has been called the most impressive debut ever made by an American dramatist
(Bigsby 129). The title of the play, The Zoo Story, is a significant title as it shows that it is not a story
about someone who visits the zoo and sees the animals, but it shows how the protagonist, Jerry, lives
with his neighbors. Although they are living in a rooming house, they are isolated from each other in
their rooms, like animals, and unable to form relationship even with the landlady s dog (Hayman 189),
like the animals in the zoo who live in cages. Kenneth Krauss says the title of the play itself: The Zoo
Story,... is the play s story of how modern urban life transpires in a landscape where human animals
are looked into unnatural enclosure (68) such as Peter s scale flat, with wife, children, two televisions,
and potentially antagonistic pets (69). It also shows how Jerry suffers from divided space (Krauss 69)
in a dirty and shabby like room. Rose A. Zimbardo says that the title suggests that the world is a zoo

He also uses them in order to finish the play in a very tragic way. He uses Peter to be the means that
will end Jerry s miserable life and to be the means that will Ignite Jerry s anger. Albee chose to create
the character of Peter to be an educated one in order to show the difference between him and Jerry
who is not an educated man. Albee wanted to show how the people from the upper class society,
represented by Peter, are completely different from those of the lower class society, represented by
Jerry. Although Peter is a man in his early forties, he seems younger than his age, and although Jerry is
in his late thirties, he looks like a man older than this. This shows how the luxurious life lived by the
upper class society is reflected on their

  • 2. Prophets To many Christians the Prophets are seen as being predictors of the Messiah, but it can be argued that one can take any tidbit of information from a source (not just the bible) and use it, whether within context or out of context, to support one s argument. In my opinion, as far as the prophets are concerned, just because the prophets seem to predict the coming of the Messiah because of the parallels that have been drawn between the books of the prophets and the New Testament does not necessarily mean that they were able to predict the future it means that the New Testament authors such as Matthew had either heard or could refer back to the writings of the Old Testament prophets such as Isaiah, Micah, and Hosea. The problem is not that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, Hosea names two of his children Lo ruhmah and Lo ammi. As Borg points out, these are Hebrew phrases that mean not pitied and not my people . Borg also points out that the names represent a threat because the days are coming when Israel will be not pitied and not my (God s) people . Chapter two of Hosea describes a divorce which seems to represent the end of the covenant between God and the Northern Kingdom a symbolic act where by the divorce of Hosea from Gamer for infidelity represents God s rejection of the Northern Kingdom. In typical fashion, though, Hosea ends this prophecy with the declaration that God will one day renew the covenant and will take back Israel. Another example of the allegory in Hosea is in chapter three when Hosea seeks out Gomer again. Either she sold herself into slavery because of debt or she is with someone who demands money in order to give her up because Hosea has to buy her back. Even after he takes her name though he refrains from having sex with her for a while to symbolize the fact that Israel will be without a King for many years but that God will take Israel back even at a cost to him. Now back to the theme of social justice and the book of Amos...as Borg points our in his chapter on Reading the prophets again , and so it can be found in the bible, Amos speaks out against the wealthy for their exploitation of the poor. As Borg puts it, he paints vivid and compelling pictures of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Safety Of Non Invasive Bp Monitoring System Safety of non invasive BP monitoring System The BP monitoring system proposed in this paper will comprise predominantly of three sensors and a focal facilitator; two PPG sensors, one on the ear flap, another on the fingertips, with a temperature sensor and the focal organizer, in this manner shaping a star network topology. The advantage of the star network is that a sensor can be just replaced without the need to supplant the whole system when the sensor has blunders, so it is anything but difficult to distinguish blames and to expel parts. A star network can likewise be effectively extended with more sensors, similar to ECG, EEG sensors, to enhance the execution of the whole medical monitoring system. The fact that the sensors are connected and powered by the central coordinator helps to reduce the size of the sensors. The use of micro sensors and microprocessor in the coordinator will make a wearable body sensor network possible, and which will not affect the patient s daily life. The two PPG sensors will collect the pulse information and will sent the data individually via wire transmission to the central coordinator. The PTT, with the temperature data collected by the temperature sensor, as well as other predetermined information, such as body temperature, age, gender, BMI etc. will be gathered and stored in the coordinator to compute the instant BP value. The wire transmission between sensors and coordinator ensures a safe, stable and rapid data transmission. In the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Example Of Predatory Pricing Strategies Predatory pricing: It s actual effectiveness Predatory pricing is an anticompetitive strategy that indents to drive competitors out of the market and gain monopolistic profits. The predatory firm first lowers its price, to an extent which the revenue of the product does not cover the costs. Their competitors must then lower their prices below their average cost, thereby losing money as their products are sold. If they do not cut their prices, they will lose customers due to higher prices; if they do cut their prices, they will eventually go bankrupt. (DiLorenzo, 1992) If the predatory firm manages to survive longer, which in most cases they will, they will eventually gain a monopolistic position. The modern antitrust law intends to prevent damage to consumer welfare and reduce the incentive of achieving excellence by outlawing anticompetitive behaviors. However, presently some people still believe that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Koller, the author of The Myth of Predatory Pricing, after judging 23 cases that contains enough information, found out that actual predation was attempted in seven cases (30 percent) and succeeded in only four (17 percent). However other researchers did not come up with similar results. For example, Zerbe and Cooper examining the same cases beginning in 1940 and updated to 1982 concluded that predatory pricing was present in 27 out of 40 studied cases. (Bolton, P. and Joseph, B. and Riordan, M., 1999). These studies are only based on court cases and the settlements, which are more likely to be strong cases, have not been accounted in the study. So, the actual number of cases of a business conducting predatory pricing will be even more. Even Koller, who is against the legitimacy of predatory pricing, have to admit that 17% of predatory pricing actually worked. Considering the more recent study, more advanced techniques, like econometric measures, have been ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. My National Identity Lies With Hong Kong Essay I was born in Hong Kong. Although Hong Kong is not a nation and is a part of China, my national identity lies with Hong Kong. After the British took control of Hong Kong, Hong Kong became more prosperous and adopted a capitalist system (Rothman, 2014). Due to the democratic freedom that the capitalist system gave, the citizens of Hong Kong became pro democracy (Rothman, 2014). Hence, before Hong Kong was back under China s control, the U.K. and China agreed upon one country, two systems (Rothman, 2014). One country, two systems means that under China, Hong Kong is allowed to use the capitalist system they have adopted. After the re assimilation of Hong Kong, tensions between China and Hong Kong rose due to political and cultural differences (Chan, 2014). Many citizens of Hong Kong believe that calling themselves Chinese is demeaning and instead refer to themselves as Hongkongers (Chan, 2014). I also share that belief which is why my national identity lies with Hong Kong and not China. Hong Kong s national identity is unique because Hong Kong was once under British control. Their culture is a mix of Western and Chinese. Hence, the role of gender and the appearance of a family in the self image of the nation vastly differs from China. The culture of Hong Kong has shaped my national identity to reject being recognized as Chinese. Often I am prompted to indicate my country of birth, although Hong Kong is not a country, I always put Hong Kong. I pride myself on being a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Case Of Dukes V. Wal Mart Stores, Inc. Essay SUMMARY In the case of Dukes v. Wal Mart Stores, Inc., the District Court of the Ninth Circuit certified a class of 1.5 million females currently and formerly employed by Wal Mart Stores, Inc. The plaintiff class sought injunctive and declaratory relief, punitive damages, and back pay; due to the alleged violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act in regards to alleged discrimination against female employees in promotions and wages. In Wal Mart Stores, Inc. v. Dukes, the petitioner filed an appeal to the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and then the United States Supreme Court to challenge the class certification s validity as well as the class s entitlement to monetary relief under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 23. QUESTIONS PRESENTED Under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 23(b)(2) can claims for monetary relief be certified and if so, under what circumstance; and was the class defined by the district court in Dukes v. Wal Mart Stores, Inc. consistent with Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 23(a)? BRIEF ANSWER No. The certification of the plaintiff class in Dukes v. Wal Mart Stores, Inc. was not consistent with Rules 23(a), because the class does not have enough commonality in the nature of their discrimination question to prove the alleged reasons for those decisions in promotion and wages. Additionally, the class s backpay claims were not properly certified under Rule 23(b)(2) because the rule only can apply when a single, indivisible remedy would provide relief ... • 8. Essay on Ethical Issues on Immigration Ethical Issues on Immigration There are many issues in the United States. Some of them are more distraught than others. One issue that has recently had a lot of controversy would be immigration laws. Should we put a stop to immigrants coming over United States boarders? Should the immigrants already in the U.S.A. be allowed to stay? These are some questions being asked by today s society. Immigrants are not all bad; some are very useful to the United States. In society today, it is easy for some people to find issues with immigrants in America, but people also need to remember America was formed by immigrants. Immigrants come from all over the world. Some immigrants are legal and some are not. According to the Census Bureau, in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Utilitarian s feel that solving the problem is by making the majority happy. But what if the majority is illegal immigrants, then the Americans get overruled and there is no solution. By passing laws that prevent illegal immigrants coming over the boarder it does not please everyone. It is hard for the government to find a solution that would please everyone. Many people feel that the only way to solve this problem would be to stop all immigrants from crossing the U.S. boarder. Then what does the United States become? It does not stay what America is supposed to be a land of opportunity. By passing laws that does not please everyone there will always be some conflict. There will always be that one person that does not agree with what the American government decides to do. Relativist feels that as long as people have different views, then those views should be put into consideration. Some people are for immigration and some are strongly against it. Immigration is a good thing it helps expand our market and provides more laborers. One thing that some people believe to be a positive factor in illegal immigration is, illegal immigrants that come to America and begin working and pay taxes but do not use any other benefits that tax payers in America use. • 9. Modernism And Modernism Essay The sixties was an era of radical change. With the Civil Rights movement, Vietnam War, the assassinations of President Kennedy and Martin Luther King, plus the success of the moon landing, people all around the world and especially in the United States were beginning to see a change in the world itself and the minds of the people in it. The sudden ability to receive messages from across oceans and the ability to travel internationally much safer and quicker also changed the way people looked at themselves and their fellow neighbors. The Norton Anthology of World Literature Vol. F explains this: At the beginning of the twentieth century, the world was interconnected as never before. New means of transportation, such as the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The main purpose is to understand the two philosophies, and how they effected the period in which they were born. From doing this, we can show the impact of them effected not only in the sixties, but also today. The first genre of fiction that was born during these times was Postmodernism. Its predecessor, Modernism, also came from the events that were happening around the world, especially through the newfound interconnectedness with different nations through new technological communications, and through easier and safer travel. Through this, the world experienced a change in its thinking, interpreting, and defining. This is explained better through The Norton Anthology of World Literature Vol. F: Writers around the world responded to these cataclysmic events with an unprecedented wave of literary experimentation, known collectively as modernism, which linked the political crises with a crisis of representation a sense of that the old ways of portraying the experience were no longer inadequate. The modernists therefore broke away from such conventions as standard plots, verse forms, narrative techniques, and the boundaries of genre. (Norton Anthology of World Literature Vol. D) It was through this genre that Postmodernism was born of. When other problems began to settle and others began to rise, its birth changed things even further than its predecessor. Looking at its definition found in Magil s Survey of ... • 10. Descriptive Dining At Home You finally meet a significant other and you want to impress them with an appetizing home cooked meal. Unfortunately, your idea of fine dining at home is Raman Noodles served in a bowl and not in the foam cup. Raman Noodles, even served in a bowl, will not impress any date. Now picture yourself sharing a warm, freshly crafted pizza. A pizza with fried chicken smothered with provolone cheese. A pizza with a pop of flavor provided by bell peppers. A pizza seamlessly put together with ranch dressing. This simple recipe for chicken ranch pizza will make you resistible to any date. To complete the following recipe, you will need one boneless chicken breast (an ideal size for the chicken breast is the size of your hand), soy sauce, lemon juice, a bell pepper, shredded provolone cheese, salt, Cayenne pepper, flour, olive oil, one large egg, and one frozen cheese pizza (preferably Di Giorno rising crust). First you need to prep the chicken breast. If your chicken breast is frozen, let your chicken breast thaw. To speed up the thawing process, you may use a microwave. However, set the microwave to defrost mode before thawing your chicken, which will prevent the chicken from drying out and will keep the chicken moist. Thaw the chicken, on defrost mode, for approximately five to six minutes. After thawing the chicken, take a sharp knife and make a horizontal cut across the middle of the breast. Always act carefully when working knives. Remember to keep the blade down and always cut away from yourself. Cut the chicken into long strips with roughly one quarter inch of thickness. Reducing the thickness of the breast will reduce the amount of time needed to cook the chicken fully. Now make a vertical cut every half inch to both strips of chicken. The chicken pieces should resemble the size and shape of your middle and ring finger combined. After cutting the chicken, wash hands thoroughly with warm water and soap. Always wash your hands after touching raw meat to prevent cross commination. Do not touch any other ingredient before washing your hands. Next you need to assemble the marinade for the chicken. Start with a deep dish baking pan and add one and half cups of soy sauce or until the bottom of the pan is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. I Am A Better Person Who Has Changed My Own Potential At the beginning of this course, I kept calling it a therapy course. I was under the impression I was going to come out of the class a better person who has taken the time to make changes and reflect. However, as the course progressed I recognized that the class is what you put into it. The class wasn t going to change me by doing these activities, but it was how these activities challenged me shift my priorities and simply become more aware. The only change that was going to be made was if I saw the need for it and I was committed. I think the course overall encouraged us, the students, to become more self aware in many different aspects of our lives. In my case, I think I gained the most from the constant discussion of the importance of reflection and consciousness. Although, we focused on certain topics throughout the semester like time management, diet, and gender issues; I think the main objective was to improve my connection with myself and to realize my own potential. I believe that each person should gain something different by the end of the semester because the discussions and activities all have a varying affects. The security and the usability of more important part of system this is analyzed in this section for our project. A. Password space: The total number of all possible passwords with length L is 8 *64^l. Therefore, the password space of our project is B. Resistance to accidental login: Our system is more resistance of accidental login Since the probability of correctly responding to password (Ki) is 8/64, that is 1/8, the success probability of accidental login with the password (ki) with length L, denote by Pal(L), is Pal(L)=(1/8)^L Fig. shows the Pal(L) for different values of L. However, since the password length is a more secret, if hacker s want to hack the system he first of all guess the user password then he try to hack but as the probability distribution of the lengths of the passwords to be used is assumed uniform between 8 and 15, the probability that the hacker correctly guesses the password length is 1/8. Thus, the probability of accidental login for the our project is And if the attacker fails to login system consecutively for three times, then this account will be disabled and the system will send to the user s registered re enter e mail address and an e mail containing the secret link that can be used by the legitimate user to re enable his disabled account. You probably think of a tall, white and probably a pretty good looking man. Over the fall break my father and I talked a lot about football . I asked him the same question and he responded by saying A typical quarterback to me is a guy who has some height to him, white skin, the smartest player on the team and usually one of the better looking guys on the team. I was not surprised to hear this from my father , as he is a former quarterback himself and has been around football for a while . We also talked about other steryotypes that come across the position, when people think of quarterbacks. It varies across different levels of football but when you think of an NFL quarterback he is usually 6 2 or taller and white. Some of the most popular quarterbacks in today s NFL include Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. All of these guys fit that stereotype. • 15. Goal Setting Is An Best Way For Students With Track And... Goal setting is an excellent way for students to track and improve upon physical fitness levels. The importance of being able to set goals and to try to achieve them is that each individual student can assess where they are and set goals to improve. Not all students can achieve the same fitness standards. Some students are born with more muscle mass or more fast twitch muscle fibers than other students. Some students have asthma or other physical difficulties that make it difficult to measure up with other students when all students are required to get a certain score on a fitness test to get an A. Using goal setting where all students can be successful by reaching their goals and showing improvement could be a positive influence for future motivation. While problem based learning can help students to learn and use goal setting (Hubball 2006), goal setting may not always help students to achieve greater fitness levels. Hill (2015) found that those students who set goals over an 18 week period did not have any significant improvement over those students that did not set goals on the pacer and push up tests. Similarly, in another study looking at the effects of goal setting on Native elders found only a weak correlation between goal setting and improvement on the amount of steps taken in a day using a pedometer (Sawchuck 2011). • 21. The World War I And The Red Scare In the early 20th Century, the United States endured a time of political unrest. During World War I, fears of socialism and communism entered the psyche of the United States and culminated in the Red Scare. Hundreds of American citizens particularly immigrants suffered unprecedented arrests and deportations (Fariello 4). During this time, Charles Schenck, secretary of the Socialist Party of America, actively opposed the war. Due to Schenck s efforts, the organization distributed thousands of leaflets criticizing conscription and encouraging readers to assert rights against the draft and intimidation (Schenck v. United States 1). In the 1919 case Schenck v. United States, the defendants were charged with violating the Espionage Act of 1917 by causing and attempting to cause insubordination in U.S. military forces by distributing a document denouncing the draft in name of the 13th amendment (Schenck 1). When insurgency and fear continued, Congress amended the Espionage Act with the Sedition Act, which limited many more forms of speech (Fariello 14). At this point, society had to decide whether these limits on speech aligned with its interests. Holmes similarly had to consider whether to forfeit his belief that ideals in the Constitution and its Amendments exist absolutely (Cohen 27). • 30. The Neuman System Model And Its Impact On Patients And... Betty Neuman is a renowned nursing theorist who developed the Neuman System Model. This model emphasizes stress and the impact it can have on patients and nursing care. Key concepts of this theory include preventions, stressors, and lines of defense. Neuman also addresses the metaparadigms of nursing, health, human being, and environment in relation to her model. The Neuman System Model is recognized by nurses across the globe, and a Neuman System Practice Center has been established to help develop her theory (Gigliotti, 2012, p. 298). This theory can be utilized in any nursing care and is inspiration for other nursing theorists. The Neuman System Model is an open system that responds to stressors in the internal, external, and created environments (Masters, 2015). The model can be applied to physiological, psychological, sociocultural, developmental, and spiritual nursing care making it very diverse in applicability. The Neuman System Model discusses many concepts. One major concept is the idea of stressors and their affects on the patient system. Neuman defines stressors as any phenomenon that might penetrate both the flexible and normal lines of defense, resulting in a positive or negative outcome (Masters, 2015). Albee wanted to show how the people from the upper class society, represented by Peter, are completely different from those of the lower class society, represented by Jerry. Although Peter is a man in his early forties, he seems younger than his age, and although Jerry is in his late thirties, he looks like a man older than this. This shows how the luxurious life lived by the upper class society is reflected on their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
