Responsibility Of Responsibility
With great power comes with great responsibility, responsibility can be shown in our daily lives, doing
homework, remembering to wake up for school, everything in our lives require this quality.
Responsibility isn t even hard to understand or acquire all you need to do is respect yourself in order
to respect others. It is important that we know our limitations and know how much tasks and values
we can handle instead of going overboard. No matter how intelligent you are there is ones limitation
can a person handle a amount of responsibility. What is responsibility? Responsibility is the state or
fact of having a duty to deal with something or of having control over someone, being accountable or

Responsibility is something we learn to do as a kid, as we grow older and encounter more and more
challenges we use the responsibility as an advantage to move one and help us sustain a healthy way of
living our lives happily. Irresponsible people tend to lean towards all negative sides of being
responsible they are really hard to rely on and to be trust. Parents tend to trust children who can take
care of themselves and know what s right and wrong. Bosses love employees that are dependable and
always trustworthy. Li Hongzhang (1823 1901) died in the age of 78 in Beijing, having 3 spouse Lady
Zhou, Zhao Xiaolian, Lady Mo. Li, having three jobs Official, general, diplomat. Li Hongzhang who
still is respected today showed immense amount of responsibility through how hard he worked just to
modernize China, intervene on the behalf of the Boxer Rebellion and all the other wars; Li was trusted
by the Imperial Palace, nevertheless there were events that illustrated how he failed to show
responsibility that the Palace had in him because of the Beiyang War and how everyone thought he

The Bible And The Hebrew Bible
As an individual who finds great personal value in the Scriptures, Brettler provides permission to look
at passages from different angles and perspectives. Consequently, a conclusion must be made that one
can not put ancient literature into a neat and tidy this is what the Bible is saying so it must be true box.
There are many parts of the Hebrew Bible that are strange to read. If many were lived out today, it
would ostracize people, and to be blunt, land someone in prison. However, all of these passages are
included in this great book, the Hebrew Bible, for a reason. They were important to the Jewish culture
whom they were written for. Why were they important to the Jewish culture in the Ancient Near East
World? Can they bring value to us today? Is it possible to accurately declare that everything in the
Hebrew Bible can be exegetically figured out , with no unanswered questions, or unresolved
mysteries? Of course not. By asking questions, challenging preconceived notions, and examining
whether passages in the Hebrew Bible are mythological or fact, one is not agreeing to a predetermined
diminishment of personal spiritual and faith principles derived from the Scriptures. Overall, this book
provides a thoughtful approach to introducing readers to the Historical Critical method, how to utilize
it when studying the Hebrew Bible, and why it will bring greater value to those learning from the
Scriptures. Consideration is clearly made for the certainty that

Economics and Zara
Case Analysis of ZARA: Fast Fashion
Challenges
a. Limitations of Vertical Integration
Vertical integration, a distinctive feature of Zara s business model, has allowed the company to
successfully develop a strong merchandising strategy. This strategy has led Zara to create a climate of
scarcity and opportunity as well as a fast fashion system. However, Zara s strategy creates some
weaknesses. Their vertical integration has more advantages than drawbacks but it is important to
recognize its limitations. Vertical integration often leads to the inability to acquire economies of scale,
which means Zara cannot gain the advantages of producing large quantities of goods for a discounted
rate. Higher costs are then incurred for the Inditex ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The close proximity of the distribution center to the American market will allow Zara to effectively
interpret the particular American fashion.
The increased cost of product variety will increase cost due to possible changeover of production
techniques to create different apparel lines but this cost is warranted since the monetary gain is much
greater than the cost. Central distribution centers, however, will help cut some the cost of quick, high
fashion since it can help streamline some of the processes and techniques used to create different
apparel as they vary from country to country.
Implementations
To expand globally, Zara should focus on one country at a time. Our team concludes that United States
should be Zara s current focus on international expansion. United States is an open trade market with
well formed trade regulations. This provides a safer business environment as compared to Asia
countries. During the globalization process, Zara should maintain short lead time, quick inventory
turnover, leading fashion brand and low advertising cost as its competitive advantage. Regional
distribution center, vertical integration, outsourcing, eye catching window displays are the key
elements for Zara to continue to re invent and innovate themselves to stay fresh in the apparel
industry. Below you may find the implementation details for United States region:

The Clash of Civilizations Essay examples
Ernest Hemingway stated that, In modern war ... you will die like a dog for no good reason ! Even
though that is true, experts have gone further by trying to find the roots and explain why conflicts
emerge in the first place. Two experts, Samuel P. Huntington and John R. Bowen, present two
different approaches towards the cause of conflicts in 21st century. Although there is a difference
between their approaches, both of them share the common believe that a conflict may occur when one
puts pressure on the other; but the reason why this pressure takes place, varies among the two theories.
In his article, The Clash of Civilizations , Huntington points out that in the 21st century, conflicts will
not occur based on ideology of a state or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When it comes to this case, according to Huntington, the Western are accused by the Eastern for
double standard, one standard to their kin countries and a different standard to others (373). The
second key point that Huntington makes, is that the over pressure of a Western towards the non
Western creates allies between different cultures on the Eastern civilization. As he stated, the divine
line is not always sharp , hence civilizations may go through a cultural meltdown and states may
overpass their traditional and religion values. But this overlap creates even deeper division in the
foreign affairs where there are only two sides: The Western and the Rest. This was clearly evident with
Arabian countries in the post Gulf War period, when they switched sides and adapted a Western policy
against Sadam, who preferred an Anti Western policy. Moreover, the obstacles that are created by the
Western towards the non Western, brings the non Western civilization to a cross road, where they
either join the Western civilization, or create alliances among other non Western, thus competing with
the West by developing their own economic, military and political power (376). For example, even
though Japan is consider as an Eastern civilization, with a geographic position near the Communist
country China, and feared from the Communist pressure influence that may occurred within Japan,
managed to establish a unique position for itself as an associate member of the

Fatal Virtue
Brecht views fatal virtue as something characters have that burdens the characters life. It also leads to
their downfall, later. Katrin fatal virtue is her kindness and compassion which she does not get from
her mother.
Mother Courage being Katrin s mother knows her daughter s fatal virtue is compassion. She warns her
to return the child she saved from being discovered and killed by the soilders or she will fight it off
you (1018.) This can also be viewed as her mother trying to interfere with the role her daughter s fatal
virtue, which will later claim Katrins life. When Katrin is trying to communicate with her mother she
always gets the feeling that she is being dismissed. When Eilif is being taken by the recruiter she
makes hoarse noises (1005). She is trying to warn her mother her brother is being lured away. Mother

Also whenever the audience feels sorry for a character or situation Brecht cut s in the scene sometimes
using ballads. He does this so they can understand how even though war is a business, it is also is the
reason why a mother lost everything. He wants to separate the actors from the audience so that the
audience will draw their own conclusions without being influenced. Brecht used epic theater so the
audience would not empathize with Mother Courage because she lost her children, to the war. He
wanted his audience to examine how war affects the people and their environment. He also wants
people to understand that in Mother Courage s case she believes that all you have to do is survive the
war by any means necessary, since she has to get back to business, she never get the opportunity to
mourn Katrins nor her sons death, because she believes that her business must go on because the war

The Influence Of The Tea Act
The decision of British ruler to tax the colonists was not a decision that the settlers approved and they
demonstrate it in many occasions. Starting in 1764 with the sugar act, where products like coffee, tea,
sugar wine were taxed, all through the stamp act and many others the British reign reaches its
culmination with the tea act which was a last attempt by the parliament to assert its supremacy over
the colonists. The tea act was an attempt by the English parliament to save the India Company from
bankruptcy. They gave them the right to sell tea directly to the Americans and they reduced some
duties. A move that the parliament thought to be winning and flawless was in fact one of the triggering
reasons of the revolution. In fact, as the tax

The following report is a brief comparative analysis of two of Australia s largest deposit taking
financial institutions (FI), Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. (ANZ) and Westpac
Banking Corporation (Westpac). This report seeks to identify which of the FIs has a greater aggregate
return per dollar of equity and thus establish the highest performer, or most profitable, of the two. The
Return on Equity Model (ROE) (Koch amp; MacDonald, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to ROA, ANZ s profitability fell short of Westpac s by 0.146%, with the ROA percentage at
0.95% and 1.096% respectively (Appendix A). The difference in profits is caused by Westpac s
substantially higher total assets, which outweigh ANZ s by $75,740,000. Although ANZ has a greater
level of liquid assets, Westpac s substantially higher loan portfolios generate higher returns. The lower
ROA is caused by ANZ s interest bearing assets under performing, or carrying lower risks leading to
lower yields, or a greater reliance upon non interest bearing assets. ROE is linked to ROA through the
EM.
ANZ s 2011 EM was 15.62x, slightly higher than Westpac s 15.35x, suggesting ANZ s assets are
funded by more debt than Westpac, this combined with lower returns is usually indicative of a low
performing institution (Koch amp; MacDonald, 2010, pg. 122). Further decomposition leads to
analysis of the Expense ratio (ER) and Asset Utilisation (AU).
ANZ s overall ER of 4.99% is relatively lower than Westpac s at 5.36% (Appendix A) supporting the
earlier conclusion that ANZ s lower ROA is caused by lower earning interest bearing assets rather than
an inability to control expenses (Koch amp; MacDonald, 2010, pg. 122). ANZ s lower ER can be
attributed to its considerably lower Interest Expense (IE) percentage, 3.35% compared with Westpac s
4.05% (Appendix A), suggesting that, during

Analysis Of In The Kitchen By Henry Louis Gates
In text In the Kitchen , writer Henry Louis Gates Jnr shows how the importance of culture, pride and
appearance construct the identity of many African Americans. Gates text is centred around the kitchen
, a word with a double meaning, the kitchen is the basis for the whole text where pride is centred and
hair conditioning takes place. Gates uses elements of writing such as textual form, figurative language,
idiom and tone to establish construct the identities of the African American society through the
narrator s eyes. In this academic essay, I will be giving examples for these elements of writing and
how Gates has used them to shed different lights on the narrator s story, letting the reader experience
increasingly of the African American society.
Textual form is an important part of this text, Gates uses first person narration to let the reader
experience the African American culture from his own eyes. At first, we are introduced to the kitchen
at first, we are unaware of what the relation is to hair, in this quote the narrator defines just this But
the word has another meaning, and the kitchen I m speaking of now is the very kinky bit of hair at the
back of the head, where the neck meets the shirt collar. If there ever was one part of our African past
that resisted assimilation it was the kitchen. No matter how hot the iron, no matter how powerful the
chemical, no matter how stringent the mashed potatoes and lye formula of a man s process neither
God nor woman nor Sammy Davis could straighten the kitchen. The kitchen was permanent
irredeemable invincible kink , (42). This quote shows a lot about the context of the African American
society, with a sense of pride in their heritage and who they are although they may want straightened
white hair they don t want to be white. Another aspect of textual form Gates uses is thematical
structure, shown especially through the theme pride. The narrator shows immense pride for his mother
right from the beginning of the text, this quote is him expressing how he finds his mothers work
unbelievable showing great honour to her every scored kink could be transformed through grease and
fire into a magnificent head of wavy hair was a miracle to me still is . Gates

Egyptian Pyramids Essay
In the deserts of Egypt lie the colossal remains of an ancient civilization. These enormous works of
human endeavor are the only member of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World that time has passed
down to us. These are, of course, the great pyramids of ancient Egypt. But these imposing structures
were not built to impress civilization millennia down the road. The pyramids in fact had a purpose to
the ancient Egyptians. While they seem very simple in nature, as they are simply four sided pyramids
with square bases, they had a meaning for those that had them built. Even by today s standards, the
pyramids of ancient Egypt were an impressive feat of engineering, due to their enormous size, both in
building materials and finished product. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was achievements such as these that gained Imhotep great respect among later Egyptians who not
only saw him as a great architect, but also a magician, astronomer, and the father of the art of
medicine (Edwards 35). Step pyramids are similar to the pyramids we know today, but instead of
being flat on all four sides, they have setbacks as they rise, giving the appearance of giant steps.
These step pyramids were not true pyramids, however, but by the second dynasty of the Old Kingdom,
true pyramids began to take shape. The now ruined pyramid of Meidum is an early example of a true
pyramid. While the ruined core of the superstructure is the only thing that really remains of this
pyramid, archaeologists have deduced that it was originally built as a step pyramid, and then later
converted to a true pyramid by building over the steps, thereby flattening the sides (Edwards 74 77).
However, the evolution of the true pyramid was not without its flaws. One good example of this is the
Bent Pyramid at Dahshur. At the beginning of its existence, the pyramid was supposed have a slope of
60 degrees. But when the pyramid was being built, cracks began to develop in it, so the builders
quickly compensated by giving the sides a shallower angle. However, it appears they did not
compensate enough, and another adjustment had to be

Essay On The Boston Tea Party
There were many events that led to the American Revolution. However, the most significant event that
started the revolution was the Boston Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party is the most crucial event that
took place because it started rebellious actions, it led to a chain of events which eventually caused the
war to start, and it riled up many people. The first reason why The Boston Tea Party, which is also
called the Midnight Raid, is the most significant event leading up to the American Revolution is
because it started rebellious actions. The Boston Tea Party started as a protest against the British
taxing the American colonists tea. On December 16th, 1773, an association of around seventy men
organized by Samuel Adams climbed aboard three British ships. This group of seventy men can also
be identified as the Sons of Liberty. They were dressed as Mohawk or Narragansett Indians that would
disguise them. They thought this would deceive the British into thinking they were Native Americans
and not the Americans. It is accounted that they wore an Indian dress, which contained blankets or
ragged clothing with soot rubbed on their faces. Once aboard the ships, the men dumped 342 chests of
English tea into the Boston Harbor. They did this as a reaction to the Stamp Act, which put taxes on
paper items and tea, and because of taxation without representation. The tea that they dumped out was
valued at around eighteen thousand dollars and was over ninety two thousand pounds. They

Paragraph On Afternoon Tea
Afternoon Tea The enjoyment of drinking tea like the British Patrician
British are illustrious as a fan of tea. England is the country outside of Asia, which is known as the
world s largest tea consumer. Since it was first introduced in the 17th century, the popularity of tea in
Britain is so shot. This popularity led to the motto of tea time which eventually became an essential
activity in the lives of the British. British predilection to drink tea evolved a tradition of drinking tea in
the afternoon which is known as the Afternoon Tea . The characteristic of this tea related ritual is the
tea served with snacks that arranged in the three tier tray.

In those days, people usually only have heavy meals twice a day, ie breakfast and dinner. Since the
dinner is served around eight, the time between breakfast and dinner were quite long, and it made her
craving for food in the afternoon. To deal with her hunger, she ate little cakes as a light meals while
drinking tea in his private room to await the dinner hour. Gradually, Anna obtained an idea to invite
her female royal friends for tea parties together. Quickly, the event was imitated by other patrician
ladies, make these habits become popular and become one of the British s Tradition. Due to this
activity usually held around three to five in the afternoon, it called as afternoon tea .
In contrast to the tradition of drinking tea in Asian countries, Afternoon Tea more as a moment to meet
and socialize. In addition to being the interval to fill the stomach between lunch and dinner time,
afternoon tea is more focused on the lifestyle, rather than the tea itself. Thus, afternoon tea is similar
with fine dining that filled with rules and table manner. Due to afternoon tea is more focused on
lifestyle matters, everything appears so beautiful, ranging from tea utensils such as cups until the

Essay on Sensitive Periods in Developement
Sensitive Periods in Developement The child does not grow uniformly and homogeneously like a
crystal or a carrot, but by stages or phases, which succeed one another and which, differ from one
another. For proper growth and development it is necessary that the potentialities for developing
human relationships with which the infant is born be exposed to the organizing influences of another
human being. Accumulating evidence indicates that there exist critical developmental periods during
which the organism is ready for differential development, within which periods it must receive the
proper stimulations if it is to develop adequately. These critical developmental periods may be broadly
outlined as follows: 1) The period during ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2) Maternal deprivation for a period varying for days within the first and second years, and weeks or
months during the third and fourth years. 3) Changes from one mother figure to another during the
first four or five years. With respect to the reality of the critical developmental periods, it is, of course,
well known that such critical developmental periods exist in the development of the body, with the
principle well established that the earlier the interference with their development the more widespread
will the disturbance in growth be. Tissues must reach a certain stage of differentiation before they can
respond; later such tissues achieve a certain relative fixity, so that they can yield. Prenatal
environmental influences For many years , in fact, it was believed that the baby in the uterus was
completely insulated form all outside influences, but now we know that is not entirely true.
Environmental influences ranging from radioactivity and stress in the outside world to drugs,
chemicals, hormones, and viruses in the mother s bloodstream can affect prenatal development. Even
though the placenta acts as a filter, keeping the blood of the mother and the fetus from mixing, a
number of potentially dangerous substances can pass through it. And, of course, if the

that s really hard to cure because it s caused by a kind of bacteria called a superbug. (Infectious

For example, you may have heard of the woman in Reno this January who died to a nightmare

(Nevada Public Radio, 17 January 2017, para. 3). On the Infectious Diseases Society of America
website was the story of how a 19 year old college student, Meredith Littlejohn, died to a superbug
after spending time in an intensive care unit. (Infectious Diseases Society of America, n.d., para. 1 3).
These are only two of thousands who die every year. And so clearly our misuse and overuse of
antibiotics have created very serious, negative outcomes. Contributing to these negative outcomes, it s
not just the doctors unnecessarily giving us antibiotics, as I mentioned before, but it s also the
antibiotics in the food we eat. To reduce costs in farms, animals are held in unhealthy conditions, so in
order to keep them healthy, farmers give them antibiotics. In 2010, a testimony of Dr. Stuart Levy, a

immediately showed resistant bacteria after giving them antibiotics. They also concluded that the
resistant bacteria spread easily to the to the workers, to the other animals, and even to the flies. Keep
in mind pretty much all the other animals are fed antibiotics too, not just chickens (Alliance for the

1. What is the case about?
This case study is the story of Coca Cola, its history and the report about one of the most fascinating
stories about the company this is still regarded by many as a mysterious case: the introduction of the
new Coke .
The author Susan Fournier, in the case study went on by presenting the history of the Coca Cola
Company: how the company started and how throughout its history it became a brand, a part of
everyone s life both nationally and globally. Anecdotes and little stories were told about how Coca

By connecting to their consumers constantly and effectively through excellent advertising, Coca Cola
was able to provide brand loyalty. With diversification within the company s products, the brand was
able to stay relevant throughout time.
Coca Cola meanings came from various sources, most notably the changes in the culture in the United
States in the 1900s. The company quickly adapted to the social and cultural changes like pop culture;
throughout artwork, they were able to reach the heart of America s youth. The company was able to
take advantage of the current events; most notably the world war which helped the company s being
global.
The story of coke and Santa Claus was a strong example of how Coke s meanings made a connection
to Christmas and forever associated itself with America s youth. In the early 1900s, Santa Claus was
represented in various ways to the American audience: the saint was illustrated in blue, yellow or
green; sometimes he was tall or was an elf. Coca Cola hired an artist, Haddon Sundblom, who, in
1931, created the Coca Cola classic Santa Claus. The caricature presented everything about the brand:
it was bigger than life and joyful. With his illustrations and those awaited yearly Christmas ads, the
artist and Coca Cola shaped the way we, the consumers view Santa today.

The Code Of Chivalry Value Honesty, Honor, Valor, And Loyalty
The knightly code of chivalry value honesty, honor, valor, and loyalty; however, each era adapt and
manipulate the code. The dark ages of King Arthur adopted the code along with the conduct aligned
with the Christian religion. Knightly chivalry is means to fear God serve, pledge your loyalty to their
lord, live honorable, tell the truth, respect women, never refuse a challenge, eschew unfairness,
meanness, and deceit, protect the weak and defenseless, and it goes on (Alchin). The reality of true
knightly hood is impossible. You cannot successfully abide by them all without breaking one. The
duty of the knight is a task of utter perfection. The knight has a responsibility to protect all, but it is
depicted time after time in all forms of media of those who value riches and power. Sir Gawain of Sir
Gawain and the Green Knight is about a knight of King Arthur usually fabled in many stories of the
times.
Sir Gawain in this version is well known throughout many Arthurian stories for his loyalty, humility,
and chivalrousness. In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, these qualities are clearly manifested as
Gawain undergoes many trials which put his character to the test, for he is knightly, to a fault. During
this time period it isn t easy to disobey this code. The medieval period the Lord of the land is supreme

Robert Bly s Influence On American Literature
Poet and storyteller Robert Bly, considerable influence on American literature, in this excerpt from
The Sibling Society (1996), Bly argues and states about change of our society and starts the interesting
introduction in a strange way with hidden meanings to lead to his point of what it really means to be
an adult in the modern society. This passage is not completely a book as whole and was put together
partially for college student to read the main focus point of the author. Bly makes points back and
forth in his essay of in the between paternalistic society and the sibling society that he observed and
argues the differences. He blames the first generation because of their disrespect of authority to let
down in traditional values that failed to provide a moral compass for the young. The strong point of
this book is his description of a disturbing development in modern society that denies to become a
fully adult. Admiration for elders has disappeared and forgotten, tradition has worn out, and families
are being ignored.
Writer Bly, talks about during his generation, paternal society, being uniformity and how they had an
elaborate and internally consistent form (250) during paternal society, kids learned how to talk to the
adults, to be respectful and responsible at school yet, they still asked for their authority when to make

Virginia Woolf Research Paper
Virginia Woolf, born January 25th 1882, was an unorthodox British author and feminist who had an
immeasurable impact on women, those with mental illnesses, and the LGBT community. She was self
educated and even though her father a literary critic didn t condone women going to college he still
helped educate and influence Virginia. Woolf is believed to have revolutionized the english essay,
because she never learned how to write a set essay in school she came up with her own way. Virginia
Woolfs childhood was cloaked with chaos and darkness. Her father was very temperamental and
brooding. This only worsened after her mothers death in 1895 causing her father to withdraw into his
studies. Woolf had also been being sexually abused by her half brothers from her mothers previous
marriage. This abuse continued even after her mothers death into her young adulthood. Her mothers
death along with her sexual abuse was to highly conductive to Virginia; causing her to have her first of

Virginia liked to think of herself as very independent and in 1911 she rented a house which was a big

Film Analysis Of Metropolis
The film Metropolis premiered on January 10, 1927 and is lauded as one of the Weimar era s great
films. The film was attractive immediately due to the scale of the sets and the cinematic innovations
that were achieved by director Fritz Lang. Metropolis was created during a time when Expressionism
and the Neue Sachlichkeit pervaded the film culture. The Neue Sachlichkeit was a response to
Expressionism to appeal to a broader audience. Willy Haas discusses the sets in his review of
Metropolis and describes their visual appeal. The sets for Metropolis draws on both styles and in this
they become more than a technical wonder, it lends itself to the storytelling rather than impeding it.
The set achieves this because it is a coalescing of the two forms. Therefore, I contend that Metropolis
s set lends itself to the plot by combining Expressionist social issues and design with the Neue
Sachlichkeit s want to return to realistic values.
Willy Haas, a film critic and screenwriter, published a review in the Film Kurier for Metropolis one
day after the premiere. Haas has a deep understanding of the film s set and how each part works
together to create the overall aesthetic. He begins by commending Fritz Lang s ability to meticulously
bring out the finer details while creating a set of gigantic proportions. Then, Haas summarizes
everything used to create the film from the cast to the amount of film used. Haas presents the film as a
mixture of different philosophies all woven together. Haas s main critique of the film is that it lacks a
central theme, or as Haas writes, the profound lack of inner form. This is due to the films massive size,
which seems to mask the film s scarcity of meaning. Haas concludes this article by stating that even
with it being a technical marvel, the feature that allows for a viewer to relate to the film is lost. One
response to the lack of deeper meaning is by addressing how the set aids the story.
Haas s review focuses on the statistical size of the set but neglects the sophistication of the visual
aspect. It is here where the set makes use of combining the two styles. The film is set in a futuristic
city filled with several skyscrapers, cars, and planes. At the center, is a tower that

Understanding The Biblical Worldview And Christian Worldview
Understanding the Biblical Worldview There are lots of non Christian or secular worldviews. I believe
that there is one biblical or Christian worldview. This could be referred to as the basic Christian
worldview. It reflects the basic principles of Christianity. Dr. Henderson gives a brief explanation of
authentic and holistic Christianity in his presentation. I agree with what Dr. Henderson said, authentic
Christianity is Christ centered and biblically based .[1] My Christian worldview should be
characterized, by who I am in Christ and what I know to be biblical. Romans 12:2 says, And do not be
conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what
is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. [2] I want God to shape my worldview, rather
than have it shaped by this world.
Dr. Henderson said, A worldview contains a person s answers to the most important questions in life.
[3] Christians are given the answers to those questions through the Word of God. We believe that the
Word of God is authoritative. Dr. Henderson said, The Bible is the Word of God, as Scripture, as what
has been written down, as the Holy Spirit enabled and guided holy people to write it. [4] As a
Christian, I should seek to apply the Word of God to every aspect of my life.
A person s worldview, whether it is Christian or non Christian, is often influenced by their
experiences. People develop different ways of thinking, as they experience the world

I had great interest in the subject Heat and Mass Transfer as well, which was compulsory. 4th semester
had also given me the choice of taking up the elective subject Introduction to Aircraft Industry and

provided me a brilliant know how of the happenings in the aviation industry and also provided me a
grasp of the basics of flight along with the control systems that aid. During the summer that followed
the end of third year, I was selected as a trainee in one of the best labs in the country The Advanced

programme that had changed my mindset for the better and gave the required direction. Apart from
witnessing at a yard s length the manufacture and fabrication of parts that made the Agni missile, I
learnt, what was then, a very surprising thing to me the right computational methods and simulation

Views On The Historical Adam Essay
Four views on the historical Adam consists of four prominent biblical scholars, who together, provided
there understanding of scripture to a project that shed light on the figure identified in Genesis 1 as
Adam. The four contributors to this book are: Dr. Denis Lamoureux, Dr. John Walton, Dr. C. John
Collins, and Dr. William Barrick. Four Views on the Historical Adam visibly outlines four key views
on the Genesis figure Adam held by evangelicals. The content provided is theologically consistent in
some ways, while in others, scientifically plausible for the one who may be struggling to reconcile
their interpretation of Adam with both modern science and with passages found in the Bible.
As mentioned in the introduction there is a huge debate strong at present in Christianity on the life of
Adam and Eve. Though many may not bother to care, as a tool in apologetics it is important that we
are not caught off guard by the questions that exist regarding of their actual existence. So I ask, did
they exist? If so, is it possible that Adam wasn t the first ever human? If not, how are we sinners
because of his original sin? So to answer my first question, I will start off by providing Dr. Lamoureux
position on the matter. Dr. Lamoureux very humbly asserts Adam never existed, and this fact has no
impact whatsoever on the foundational beliefs of Christianity (p. 38). Though he stated that he had no
intention of converted one to side with his view, and that he was merely concerned with

Benefits Of Federal Payroll Taxes
Everyone complains about taxes that are automatically withdrawn from their paychecks, but very few
know what actually happens with that money. Although people complain that the money goes straight
into some governor s pocket, the truth is that it goes to several government run programs. The 2 main
federal payroll taxes on wages are knows as Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA) taxes. The
federal payroll taxes are broken down into Social Security tax and Medicare Tax. Social Security tax
is there to provide income for retirees, the survivors of deceased workers, and people with disabilities.

Lunch Break Research Paper
Lunch is a big problem in this school. I have noticed that we don t have long breaks every day. My old
school used to have two breaks of half an hour each. I think that system will be better for students, if
we get a longer lunch instead of one 30 minute lunch break and a small nutrition break.
http://www.todaysparent.com says that lunchtime is the time to socialize and talk with your friends.
Socializing is an important thing in school and the more we have it the better. Also you have to eat
your lunch way too fast when you have a short lunch break. http://www.webmd.com says that slow
eating is much better for your health. A recent Japanese study involving 1,700 young women

The schedule that we have now is one period of 1.5 hours followed by a small 15 minute nutrition
break. After that we have another 1.5 hour period and then a 30 minute lunch. And finally after lunch
two 1.5 hour periods. For a long day like that only 45 minutes of breaks is too short. The new plan
would have a 1.5 hour period followed by a 15 minute nutrition break. Then you will have another
period of 1.5 hours. After that you will have a lunch break for an hour. Followed by the third period
that contains an hour and 15 minutes and finally the last 1.5 hour period. You will still have a start at
8:30am and the end of the day will be at 3:30pm as usual. Also you have 5 minutes to get to your next
class so the periods are actually 1 hour and 25 minutes and 1 hour and 15 minutes for third period.
This new schedule will work much better in my opinion. Students will have more time to relax and eat
their lunch during lunch break. This will cause for a healthier life turns out of research on

Aristophanes Clouds Is A Social Commentary On The Nature...
Aristophanes Clouds is a social commentary on the nature of justice as it pertains to the philosophic
life within the city disguised as a crude theatrical comedy. The protagonist Strepsiades is overcome by
debt due to his son Pheidippides obsession with horsemanship, and Strepsiades seeks the help of local
philosopher Socrates in order to learn the art of deceptive speaking so that he may trick his creditors
and not give anyone back even an obol of those debts (120). Although the play is filled with vulgar
humor on the surface, Aristophanes uses the dialogue to examine the dangers of the philosophical life
and its effect on the city. Through the story of Strepsiades, Aristophanes leads his audience to the
conclusion that the philosophic life and those who partake in it are a danger to the city because of their
blatant disregard for the gods and the traditional customs of Athens.
At the opening of the play, Strepsiades begins with an invocation to Zeus the King! (2). Upon arrival
to Socrates Thinkery, Strepsiades begs Socrates to teach him how to win both just and unjust causes
by speaking in order to have his debts forgiven without having to pay them back (98), and swears by
the gods that he will pay Socrates (246). However, Socrates informs Strepsiades that Zeus does not
even exist , nor do any other gods (367). Before this, Strepsiades had acknowledged his fear of Zeus
punishment and the thunderbolt that made him fear and tremble , but Strepsiades no

William G Morgan Research Paper
Bump, set, spike! In 1985, William G. Morgan, was the creator of what is now known as volleyball.
When he first invented the game, it was called mintonette. The idea behind volleyball was to merge
basketball, baseball, tennis, and handball, with the purpose of making a game that was less physical
than basketball. He then took the net of a tennis court and made it higher and started to play. His next
step was to find the perfect ball to play volleyball with, he tried a basketball bladder which was too
slow and light, the he tried a basketball which turned out to be too heavy and hard. Therefore, Morgan
decided to have a company make the perfect ball for volleyball. They ended up with a leather ball that
was not to heavy but not light, it suitable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

to play volleyball. In about ten years China, India, Japan, Philippines, Mexico, South America,

In 1916, the NCAA, invited by the YMCA, was asked to fix the guidelines of volleyball. Therefore,
volleyball was both added to schools and physical educational classes in lower education schools. The
following year the game was changed from twenty one points to only fifteen. Three years a couple
more rules were added to game, they could only have three hits per side, and many back row attacher
rules were put in place.
In 1922, the very first championships were played, it was directed by the YMCA, where eleven states
were represented and played. This was the beginning of the true growth of competitive volleyball.
Many years later, in 1949, the first national championship was played in Czechoslovakia.
All to say, the game volleyball not created in a one time event. It took many years to make the game

Teen Pregnancy
Suddenly teen pregnancy IS cool?
1. Teen pregnancy is up partly because there is less of a stigma associated with teen pregnancy since
there is more of a cultural permission to be a younger mother. The rise is also partly due to the
portrayal of celebrity teens such as Jamie Lynn Spears in the media and other cultural shifts, giving
teens the idea that having a baby is the new handbag .
2. The reason the authors use allusion in the first paragraph is to show the readers that teen pregnancy
is becoming a trend amongst celebrities and its sweeping teen culture along with it. Whether or not the
average teen thinks unplanned pregnancy is fashionable, there are numerous celebrity and pop culture
examples of hip, unmarried moms. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Paragraph 25 latest accessory in Hollywood protruding bellies .having a baby is the new handbag
The author in the article is comparing the latest style to pregnancy. Media is portraying that pregnancy
is the latest trend and it is popular amongst cool celebrities. The author goes on to compare babies as
the new handbag, making it seem like carrying a baby is like carrying the most fashionable handbag. It
makes teens feel as if it s hip and they should go get one like it s a fashion accessory.
b) Irony
Paragraph 1 I didn t believe it because Jamie Lynn s always been so conscientious. She s never late for
her curfew.
This is ironic because Jamie Lynn is the not conscientious; infact she is very irresponsible. If she was
careful she would have been able to prevent her pregnancy at such an early age.
Paragraph 2 just 16, who matter of factly chooses to have a baby and an open adoption rather than
an abortion. No big deal.
This is ironic because the author is using the movie Juno as an example to Jamie Lynn s situation,
making it seem like teenage pregnancy is not that big of a deal. When everyone found out that Juno
was pregnant in the movie they were very unrealistic about it and not freaking out like most families
would do. However, the readers know that teen pregnancy is a very big deal in our society and there
are a lot of drawbacks that come with it. Most

Ruth Handler s Creation Of Diamonds
They say diamonds are a girl s best friend (Carol Channing), but I beg to differ. Beginning in the late
1950 s, something as small as 18 inches, made in human likeness captured the hearts of many young
girls. Ruth Handler, designer of Barbie states her creation was inspired by her daughter, Barbara,
during a trip to Switzerland. On this trip, Handler noticed her daughter s fascination with the doll Bild
Lilli. From that incident, Handler knew that girls enjoyed playing with dolls that resembled adults
rather than dolls that resembled babies. Girls wanted the opportunity to create a world that allowed
them to be anything that they wanted to be and Barbie created that outlet. Because of this, one of the

Collective Identity And New Social Movements
indicate that both versions should be analyzed to fully understand the phenomenon, and will be done
so through an examination of collective identity and informal mobilization networks.
Collective Identity and New Social Movements
Identity, and more specifically, global identity, is an often contested topic in contemporary literature
on both globalization and new social movements. Critics of globalization cite the loss of localized
cultural identity, especially in developing countries, due to the proliferation of homogenized Western
ideals through advances in communication, as evidence for globalization s destructive nature
(Tomlinson, 2003). Tomlinson (2003) argues that rather than destroying concepts of personal identity,
increased interconnectedness may actually strengthen identity, referencing Manuel Castells argument
that collective identity acts in opposition of capitalist globalization and asserts individuals control over
their own lives (Castells, 1997; Tomlinson, 2003). Theorists have taken this concept and applied it to
new social movement theory by asserting that modern society has assaulted and muddled the concept
of the self, resulting in the necessary pursuit of collective identity, which is defined as an integrated
and continuous social self (Laraña, Johnston, and Gusfield, 1994). This drive for a collective sense of
self, and the power of identity, is reflected in the increase of social movements related to gender,
sexual orientation, ethnicity, and

  • 3. The Bible And The Hebrew Bible As an individual who finds great personal value in the Scriptures, Brettler provides permission to look at passages from different angles and perspectives. Consequently, a conclusion must be made that one can not put ancient literature into a neat and tidy this is what the Bible is saying so it must be true box. There are many parts of the Hebrew Bible that are strange to read. If many were lived out today, it would ostracize people, and to be blunt, land someone in prison. However, all of these passages are included in this great book, the Hebrew Bible, for a reason. They were important to the Jewish culture whom they were written for. Why were they important to the Jewish culture in the Ancient Near East World? Can they bring value to us today? Is it possible to accurately declare that everything in the Hebrew Bible can be exegetically figured out , with no unanswered questions, or unresolved mysteries? Of course not. By asking questions, challenging preconceived notions, and examining whether passages in the Hebrew Bible are mythological or fact, one is not agreeing to a predetermined diminishment of personal spiritual and faith principles derived from the Scriptures. Overall, this book provides a thoughtful approach to introducing readers to the Historical Critical method, how to utilize it when studying the Hebrew Bible, and why it will bring greater value to those learning from the Scriptures. • 4. Economics and Zara Case Analysis of ZARA: Fast Fashion Challenges a. Limitations of Vertical Integration Vertical integration, a distinctive feature of Zara s business model, has allowed the company to successfully develop a strong merchandising strategy. This strategy has led Zara to create a climate of scarcity and opportunity as well as a fast fashion system. However, Zara s strategy creates some weaknesses. Their vertical integration has more advantages than drawbacks but it is important to recognize its limitations. Vertical integration often leads to the inability to acquire economies of scale, which means Zara cannot gain the advantages of producing large quantities of goods for a discounted rate. Higher costs are then incurred for the Inditex ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The close proximity of the distribution center to the American market will allow Zara to effectively interpret the particular American fashion. The increased cost of product variety will increase cost due to possible changeover of production techniques to create different apparel lines but this cost is warranted since the monetary gain is much greater than the cost. Central distribution centers, however, will help cut some the cost of quick, high fashion since it can help streamline some of the processes and techniques used to create different apparel as they vary from country to country. Implementations To expand globally, Zara should focus on one country at a time. Our team concludes that United States should be Zara s current focus on international expansion. United States is an open trade market with well formed trade regulations. This provides a safer business environment as compared to Asia countries. During the globalization process, Zara should maintain short lead time, quick inventory turnover, leading fashion brand and low advertising cost as its competitive advantage. • 5. The Clash of Civilizations Essay examples Ernest Hemingway stated that, In modern war ... you will die like a dog for no good reason ! Even though that is true, experts have gone further by trying to find the roots and explain why conflicts emerge in the first place. Two experts, Samuel P. Huntington and John R. Bowen, present two different approaches towards the cause of conflicts in 21st century. Although there is a difference between their approaches, both of them share the common believe that a conflict may occur when one puts pressure on the other; but the reason why this pressure takes place, varies among the two theories. In his article, The Clash of Civilizations , Huntington points out that in the 21st century, conflicts will not occur based on ideology of a state or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When it comes to this case, according to Huntington, the Western are accused by the Eastern for double standard, one standard to their kin countries and a different standard to others (373). The second key point that Huntington makes, is that the over pressure of a Western towards the non Western creates allies between different cultures on the Eastern civilization. As he stated, the divine line is not always sharp , hence civilizations may go through a cultural meltdown and states may overpass their traditional and religion values. But this overlap creates even deeper division in the foreign affairs where there are only two sides: The Western and the Rest. This was clearly evident with Arabian countries in the post Gulf War period, when they switched sides and adapted a Western policy against Sadam, who preferred an Anti Western policy. Moreover, the obstacles that are created by the Western towards the non Western, brings the non Western civilization to a cross road, where they either join the Western civilization, or create alliances among other non Western, thus competing with the West by developing their own economic, military and political power (376). For example, even though Japan is consider as an Eastern civilization, with a geographic position near the Communist country China, and feared from the Communist pressure influence that may occurred within Japan, managed to establish a unique position for itself as an associate member of the ... When Katrin is trying to communicate with her mother she always gets the feeling that she is being dismissed. When Eilif is being taken by the recruiter she makes hoarse noises (1005). Brecht used epic theater so the audience would not empathize with Mother Courage because she lost her children, to the war. He wanted his audience to examine how war affects the people and their environment. Starting in 1764 with the sugar act, where products like coffee, tea, sugar wine were taxed, all through the stamp act and many others the British reign reaches its culmination with the tea act which was a last attempt by the parliament to assert its supremacy over the colonists. The tea act was an attempt by the English parliament to save the India Company from bankruptcy. They gave them the right to sell tea directly to the Americans and they reduced some duties. Financial Ratio Analysis Griffith University, Gold Coast | Group Assignment for 2204AFE Financial Institutions Management | Comparative Analysis of ANZ and Westpac | | s2758329, s2762895, s2773847, s2784238Diamond, E., Dong, G., Huang, Y. amp; Lin, B.Due: 5th April 2012Tutor: Sonja Kobinger | | | The following report is a brief comparative analysis of two of Australia s largest deposit taking financial institutions (FI), Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. (ANZ) and Westpac Banking Corporation (Westpac). This report seeks to identify which of the FIs has a greater aggregate return per dollar of equity and thus establish the highest performer, or most profitable, of the two. According to ROA, ANZ s profitability fell short of Westpac s by 0.146%, with the ROA percentage at 0.95% and 1.096% respectively (Appendix A). The difference in profits is caused by Westpac s substantially higher total assets, which outweigh ANZ s by $75,740,000. Although ANZ has a greater level of liquid assets, Westpac s substantially higher loan portfolios generate higher returns. The lower ROA is caused by ANZ s interest bearing assets under performing, or carrying lower risks leading to lower yields, or a greater reliance upon non interest bearing assets. ROE is linked to ROA through the EM. ANZ s 2011 EM was 15.62x, slightly higher than Westpac s 15.35x, suggesting ANZ s assets are funded by more debt than Westpac, this combined with lower returns is usually indicative of a low performing institution (Koch amp; MacDonald, 2010, pg. 122). Further decomposition leads to analysis of the Expense ratio (ER) and Asset Utilisation (AU). ANZ s overall ER of 4.99% is relatively lower than Westpac s at 5.36% (Appendix A) supporting the earlier conclusion that ANZ s lower ROA is caused by lower earning interest bearing assets rather than an inability to control expenses (Koch amp; MacDonald, 2010, pg. 122). ANZ s lower ER can be attributed to its considerably lower Interest Expense (IE) percentage, 3.35% compared with Westpac s 4.05% (Appendix A), suggesting that, during ... • 9. Analysis Of In The Kitchen By Henry Louis Gates In text In the Kitchen , writer Henry Louis Gates Jnr shows how the importance of culture, pride and appearance construct the identity of many African Americans. Gates text is centred around the kitchen , a word with a double meaning, the kitchen is the basis for the whole text where pride is centred and hair conditioning takes place. Gates uses elements of writing such as textual form, figurative language, idiom and tone to establish construct the identities of the African American society through the narrator s eyes. In this academic essay, I will be giving examples for these elements of writing and how Gates has used them to shed different lights on the narrator s story, letting the reader experience increasingly of the African American society. Textual form is an important part of this text, Gates uses first person narration to let the reader experience the African American culture from his own eyes. At first, we are introduced to the kitchen at first, we are unaware of what the relation is to hair, in this quote the narrator defines just this But the word has another meaning, and the kitchen I m speaking of now is the very kinky bit of hair at the back of the head, where the neck meets the shirt collar. If there ever was one part of our African past that resisted assimilation it was the kitchen. No matter how hot the iron, no matter how powerful the chemical, no matter how stringent the mashed potatoes and lye formula of a man s process neither God nor woman nor Sammy Davis could straighten the kitchen. The kitchen was permanent irredeemable invincible kink , (42). This quote shows a lot about the context of the African American society, with a sense of pride in their heritage and who they are although they may want straightened white hair they don t want to be white. Another aspect of textual form Gates uses is thematical structure, shown especially through the theme pride. The narrator shows immense pride for his mother right from the beginning of the text, this quote is him expressing how he finds his mothers work unbelievable showing great honour to her every scored kink could be transformed through grease and fire into a magnificent head of wavy hair was a miracle to me still is . • 10. Egyptian Pyramids Essay In the deserts of Egypt lie the colossal remains of an ancient civilization. These enormous works of human endeavor are the only member of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World that time has passed down to us. These are, of course, the great pyramids of ancient Egypt. But these imposing structures were not built to impress civilization millennia down the road. The pyramids in fact had a purpose to the ancient Egyptians. While they seem very simple in nature, as they are simply four sided pyramids with square bases, they had a meaning for those that had them built. Even by today s standards, the pyramids of ancient Egypt were an impressive feat of engineering, due to their enormous size, both in building materials and finished product. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It was achievements such as these that gained Imhotep great respect among later Egyptians who not only saw him as a great architect, but also a magician, astronomer, and the father of the art of medicine (Edwards 35). Step pyramids are similar to the pyramids we know today, but instead of being flat on all four sides, they have setbacks as they rise, giving the appearance of giant steps. These step pyramids were not true pyramids, however, but by the second dynasty of the Old Kingdom, true pyramids began to take shape. The now ruined pyramid of Meidum is an early example of a true pyramid. While the ruined core of the superstructure is the only thing that really remains of this pyramid, archaeologists have deduced that it was originally built as a step pyramid, and then later converted to a true pyramid by building over the steps, thereby flattening the sides (Edwards 74 77). However, the evolution of the true pyramid was not without its flaws. One good example of this is the Bent Pyramid at Dahshur. At the beginning of its existence, the pyramid was supposed have a slope of 60 degrees. But when the pyramid was being built, cracks began to develop in it, so the builders quickly compensated by giving the sides a shallower angle. However, it appears they did not compensate enough, and another adjustment had to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Essay On The Boston Tea Party There were many events that led to the American Revolution. However, the most significant event that started the revolution was the Boston Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party is the most crucial event that took place because it started rebellious actions, it led to a chain of events which eventually caused the war to start, and it riled up many people. The first reason why The Boston Tea Party, which is also called the Midnight Raid, is the most significant event leading up to the American Revolution is because it started rebellious actions. The Boston Tea Party started as a protest against the British taxing the American colonists tea. On December 16th, 1773, an association of around seventy men organized by Samuel Adams climbed aboard three British ships. This group of seventy men can also be identified as the Sons of Liberty. They were dressed as Mohawk or Narragansett Indians that would disguise them. They thought this would deceive the British into thinking they were Native Americans and not the Americans. It is accounted that they wore an Indian dress, which contained blankets or ragged clothing with soot rubbed on their faces. Once aboard the ships, the men dumped 342 chests of English tea into the Boston Harbor. They did this as a reaction to the Stamp Act, which put taxes on paper items and tea, and because of taxation without representation. The tea that they dumped out was valued at around eighteen thousand dollars and was over ninety two thousand pounds. They ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Essay on Sensitive Periods in Developement Sensitive Periods in Developement The child does not grow uniformly and homogeneously like a crystal or a carrot, but by stages or phases, which succeed one another and which, differ from one another. For proper growth and development it is necessary that the potentialities for developing human relationships with which the infant is born be exposed to the organizing influences of another human being. Accumulating evidence indicates that there exist critical developmental periods during which the organism is ready for differential development, within which periods it must receive the proper stimulations if it is to develop adequately. These critical developmental periods may be broadly outlined as follows: 1) The period during ... Tissues must reach a certain stage of differentiation before they can respond; later such tissues achieve a certain relative fixity, so that they can yield. Environmental influences ranging from radioactivity and stress in the outside world to drugs, chemicals, hormones, and viruses in the mother s bloodstream can affect prenatal development. It s important to understand what superbugs are and how they come about because they re a present and ongoing problem, and everyone here might just be affected by them. On the Infectious Diseases Society of America website was the story of how a 19 year old college student, Meredith Littlejohn, died to a superbug after spending time in an intensive care unit. And so clearly our misuse and overuse of antibiotics have created very serious, negative outcomes. Contributing to these negative outcomes, it s not just the doctors unnecessarily giving us antibiotics, as I mentioned before, but it s also the antibiotics in the food we eat. To reduce costs in farms, animals are held in unhealthy conditions, so in order to keep them healthy, farmers give them antibiotics. In 2010, a testimony of Dr. Stuart Levy, a professor of biology and medicine, explained how him and his team concluded that chickens almost immediately showed resistant bacteria after giving them antibiotics. They also concluded that the resistant bacteria spread easily to the to the workers, to the other animals, and even to the flies. • 20. Film Analysis Of Metropolis The film Metropolis premiered on January 10, 1927 and is lauded as one of the Weimar era s great films. The film was attractive immediately due to the scale of the sets and the cinematic innovations that were achieved by director Fritz Lang. Metropolis was created during a time when Expressionism and the Neue Sachlichkeit pervaded the film culture. The Neue Sachlichkeit was a response to Expressionism to appeal to a broader audience. Willy Haas discusses the sets in his review of Metropolis and describes their visual appeal. The sets for Metropolis draws on both styles and in this they become more than a technical wonder, it lends itself to the storytelling rather than impeding it. The set achieves this because it is a coalescing of the two forms. Therefore, I contend that Metropolis s set lends itself to the plot by combining Expressionist social issues and design with the Neue Sachlichkeit s want to return to realistic values. Willy Haas, a film critic and screenwriter, published a review in the Film Kurier for Metropolis one day after the premiere. Haas has a deep understanding of the film s set and how each part works together to create the overall aesthetic. He begins by commending Fritz Lang s ability to meticulously bring out the finer details while creating a set of gigantic proportions. Then, Haas summarizes everything used to create the film from the cast to the amount of film used. Haas presents the film as a mixture of different philosophies all woven together. Haas s main critique of the film is that it lacks a central theme, or as Haas writes, the profound lack of inner form. This is due to the films massive size, which seems to mask the film s scarcity of meaning. Haas concludes this article by stating that even with it being a technical marvel, the feature that allows for a viewer to relate to the film is lost. One response to the lack of deeper meaning is by addressing how the set aids the story. Haas s review focuses on the statistical size of the set but neglects the sophistication of the visual aspect. It is here where the set makes use of combining the two styles. The film is set in a futuristic city filled with several skyscrapers, cars, and planes. At the center, is a tower that ... I believe that there is one biblical or Christian worldview. This could be referred to as the basic Christian worldview. It reflects the basic principles of Christianity. Dr. Henderson gives a brief explanation of authentic and holistic Christianity in his presentation. I agree with what Dr. Henderson said, authentic Christianity is Christ centered and biblically based .[1] My Christian worldview should be characterized, by who I am in Christ and what I know to be biblical. Romans 12:2 says, And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. [2] I want God to shape my worldview, rather than have it shaped by this world. Dr. Henderson said, A worldview contains a person s answers to the most important questions in life. [3] Christians are given the answers to those questions through the Word of God. We believe that the Word of God is authoritative. Dr. Henderson said, The Bible is the Word of God, as Scripture, as what has been written down, as the Holy Spirit enabled and guided holy people to write it. [4] As a Christian, I should seek to apply the Word of God to every aspect of my life. A person s worldview, whether it is Christian or non Christian, is often influenced by their experiences. The content provided is theologically consistent in some ways, while in others, scientifically plausible for the one who may be struggling to reconcile their interpretation of Adam with both modern science and with passages found in the Bible. So I ask, did they exist? If so, is it possible that Adam wasn t the first ever human? If not, how are we sinners because of his original sin? Aristophanes Clouds is a social commentary on the nature of justice as it pertains to the philosophic life within the city disguised as a crude theatrical comedy.
