Product designers learned years ago that they d save time and money if they consulted with their
colleagues in manufacturing rather than just throwing new designs over the wall. The two functions
realized it wasn t enough to just coexist not when they could work together to create value for the
company and for customers. You d think that marketing and sales teams, whose work is also deeply
interconnected, would have discovered something similar. As a rule,

What Are The Ciprari Brothers
This episode is about the story of Mike and Scott Ciprari, two brothers who were dealing with
problems in their custom drum company. The Ciprari brothers are well known in their town of
Southbridge, Massachusetts, however their once close relationship is presently a frigid one as income
issues, unpaid bills, and complaining employees undermine to demolish their relationship and their
business. That s the place where Marcus Lemonis comes in. He is an expert business, the master
specialist, investor, and TV character will invest money in SJC Drums Company. Be that as it may,
there is one catch. Mike and Scott Ciprari must be willing to regard the majority of Lemonis

Crazy Rich Asian Rich In The Great Gatsby
Abstract
Research Question: A comparative study of how wealth is perceived and interpreted in The Great
Gatsby and Crazy Rich Asians
Crazy, Rich, Asians by Kevin Kwan and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott FitzGerald are two amazing
books which play on stereotypes of every fashion and kind. Through the stereotypes however, it can
be agreed that there is much truth as with most stereotypes. A huge difference between Crazy, Rich,
Asians and The Great Gatsby, however, is that both books offer completely different sides to a very
similar story with vastly differing outcomes. The story which the two books so well portray is one of
stereotypes and wealth the story of the rich and their lives in the fast lane.
There are, however, underlying differences ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Traditional Peranakan culture is one that is matriarchal, and nothing in the house especially marriage
or engagement is to proceed without her express approval. The Asian Culture is very different from
the Western one in this aspect
The Great Gatsby is a classic novel which features wealth as well and is in my honest opinion a good
example of western culture and speech. Furthermore, The Great Gatsby is a book which emphasises
the fact that the main character (Gatsby) does not have known family or a well documented history.
Such a context serves as a perfect foil to the book Crazy, Rich Asians which emphasises the
importance of family roots.
So, what sets the media averse Asians, the vulgar Asians, and the Western wealthy apart? Is it their
varying degrees of expenditure or the number of cars they own? I would say no, what sets them apart
is the perception and interpretation of their wealth by the society which they are in. Perception and the
role of society has always been to be a community, and what a community does is set certain moral
and material standards to which one would aspire to fit perfectly. Society is what defines people s
behaviours and ultimately the culture of a certain part of the world, be it Western or

Extreme Poverty In The United States
Extreme poverty is characterized as the lack of ability to access essential items to live such as food,
clothing, medicine, and shelter. In the United States, and many other wealthy and developed nations,
many people experience what is known as relative poverty which is essentially a measure of income
inequality and is usually dependent on social views and opportunity rather than complete scarcity.
Poverty in the United States, while not as severe, is still a major issue. I will discuss the effects that
poverty has on families today in America and how it relates to single mothers, food insecurity, and
education.

families that is due to several causes related to social classes. The low test scores and concentration

Downfall by Richard B. Frank
Downfall by Richard B. Frank was a very insightful book about the fall of the Imperial Japanese
Empire. The book was centered around the recounts and the opinions of Richard Frank on why the
Imperial Japanese Empire had collapse. He got his information from credited sources from some
highly classified documents from the time of all of the events had taken place. Throughout the book,
Frank made references about some minor reasons and major reasons as to why the Empire had
collapsed. His biggest reason was the dropping of the two atomic bombs. There will be more details of
that in the essay later on.
The first theme that Richard Frank had discussed dealt with the mini bombings that the United States
had down to Japan after the attacks on Pearl Harbor. Frank said the reason for these raids on Tokyo
was to set the tone for what the United States was capable of. In other words, Frank felt these raids
were going to put Japan in the hole in a hurry. The raids were done by B 29s that dropped many
bombs on Tokyo. Frank said how these raids left tons of destruction to the city and said how there
were around 80,000 killed as a result of the raids. Frank described the city as having constant fire that
was hard to be put out. He said how this was Tokyo s biggest disaster up till that date. Frank
exclaimed how these raids had also slowed down the war process from Japan. He said it was because
of the shock factor the Japanese endured after the raids. Despite the raids that were committed

The Identity of Black Women in the Post-Bellum Period...
The Identity of Black Women in the Post Bellum Period 1865 1885
Throughout history, the black woman has always had a multitude of responsibilities thrust upon her
shoulders. This was never truer than for southern black women in the period between 1865 and 1885.
In this span of twenty years, these women were responsible for their children, their husbands,
supporting their families, their fight for freedom as black citizens and as women, their sexual freedom,
and various other issues that impacted their lives. All of these aspects of the black woman s life
defined who she was. Each of her experiences and battles shaped the life that she lived, and the way
she was perceived by the outside world.
Who were these women, and how did the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the first things that the black woman attempted, after gaining her freedom, was to obtain a job.
These women learned quickly, however, that they would not be equals just because they were now
free. The job opportunities available to black women, like many other aspects of their lives, would be
of much less quality than the jobs offered to the rest of the population. They would be low paying,
involve extended hours, and would put them in constant danger; black women would have to negotiate
the literal rough terrain of Atlanta and the social consequences it imposed on their everyday lives as
they struggled to earn a living for their families and searched for peace of mind. They would have to
persevere in their quest to work and support their household.
After the Civil War, all black citizens of the Unites States were allegedly free. The thirteenth
amendment banning slavery had been passed and the reconstruction of the South was moving along
swiftly. This promised freedom, however, was far from what was expected. There were many laws and
forces at work to keep blacks in some type of involuntary servitude. Some of the laws that limited
black freedom included making it a crime to hire away a worker who had been under contract with a
different employer (so called enticement laws), various contract enforcement statutes that bound the
black worker to their employer, and vagrancy statutes in which unemployed

Vitamins And Minerals Are Essential Nutrients Your Body Needs
Although you can absorb energy only from the calories found in food. Since vitamins and minerals
contain no calories and they don t directly supply the body with energy. Is important know that
Vitamins and minerals are essential nutrients your body needs in small amounts to work properly.
Most people should get all the nutrients they need by a varied and balanced diet. They are essential in
small amounts to maintain good health, promote growth and regulate body functions. Normally they
are not synthesized in the body and therefore most of them are supplied by the diet, though sometimes
they are formed in the body. A vitamin in particular is a group of organic substances which help
regulate chemical reactions take place in the body. Minerals are natural, non organic substances which
are important components of bones and soft tissues of the body. Balanced amounts of each and every
vitamin in the body should be properly followed and taking more than the DVs can present a real
danger since it is possible to take in toxic levels of vitamins and minerals especially through
supplements. Vitamins are classified based on their solubility. The fat soluble vitamins are A, D, E and
K. They can be stored in the body. The water soluble vitamins are the B complex vitamins and C.
Major minerals include sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and sulfur.

O Brien wrote a meta fiction story, which allows him to explain the reasons why he had written this

O Brien can write a story about the experience he had during the Vietnam War and his feelings about
Kiowa s death. After the Vietnam War had ended, Bowker had suffered from PTSD, which makes him

Christian Beliefs And Similarities Of Beowulf And Jesus
Both Beowulf and Jesus have many similarities. Beowulf displays many Christ like qualities
throughout the book and even receives godly assistance in his times of need. Beowulf and Christ are
very similar throughout each of their stories. Therefore, Beowulf is the Christ figure of Beowulf. In
the beginning of Beowulf, the Danes are being terrorized by the gruesome Grendel. Grendel attacks
the people and fills them with fear. He leads them into the jaws of death. Grendel is even a descendent
of Cain, making the battle between him and Beowulf a struggle between the powers of good and evil.
Similarly, the dragon may symbolize Satan terrorizing our lives and trying to lead us astray and into
temptation. The dragon s primary goal is also to obtain as much gold and riches as possible, and to
hoard them, protecting it with his fire and the fear he struck into the hearts of the people. Beowulf
hears of the death and destruction that is happening, and decides to sail to their rescue, much like
Jesus. Here Beowulf can clearly be seen as a Christ figure when he defeats Grendel, Grendel s mother,
and the dragon; he acts as their savior. He slays them all with courage and bravery, just like Jesus had
no fear in Matthew 23:13 36, Matthew 21:12, 13, John 16:33, John 5:15 18; 7:14, and John 2:14 17.
Jesus showed his courage and bravery throughout all these verses, and many more throughout the
Bible. He showed it even when he was a child. Beowulf shows his bravery all

What Is Josh Sounder Essay
Josh Bailey was drafted with the 9th pick in the 2008 NHL entry draft. Crazy to think that this coming
June, it will be 10 years since that moment. Looking back to that time, it wasn t exactly an ideally
situation. The islanders had the 5th overall pick going into that draft. They would trade that to the leafs
and swipe first round picks. The isles would move back to the 7th pick which was then moved to
Nashville and they would end up picking Bailey with the 9th overall pick.
10 years after there are still a lot of people who just don t like having Bailey on the team. A bunch of
different reasons behind that. The main reason is if you look back At the 2008 draft a lot big time

A lot of people just wanted him gone from the team. Now he is the guy who people just can t decide
on. He is playing way to well to hate this season and it s time to consider him an elite and valuable
part of the New York Islanders.
Coming off a career season of 56 points, Bailey is off to a hot start in the 2017 2018 season. Through
17 games, he currently has 18 points, which puts him on an 87 point pace for this season. Last season,
he was placed on a line with John Tavares and Andres Lee and that line worked wonders. With the
addition of Jordan Eberle this season, that bumped Bailey off the top line. After about 7 games, coach
Weight decided to put the line back together. Bailey, despite having a strong start to the season, didn t
miss a beat rejoining his line mates from last season.
It s also hard to not root for a guy who is such a good person off the ice. Just as @tomlofaso329 of the
Blue and Orange army said He s routinely progressed since we drafted him. He s a class act on and off
the ice, and one of the nicest guys I ve had the pleasure of meeting. So, happy he s been lighting it up
the last few years he s worked so hard for it and deserves it. No matter what the outcome of the game,
no matter how his night was, Bailey was one of the few guys who would always stop by the ramp at
the coliseum and come out and sign autographs and take pictures with the fans. He has a lot of loyal
fans that have enjoyed watching him play since the beginning. The blue and

How Does Shakespeare Use Ethos In The Winter s Tale
Words are a tremendously powerful tool that can spark different emotions and reactions causing us to
question our intentions. With such passionate displays of raw emotions, Shakespeare is able to
captivate his audience in The Winter s Tale. Each character displays such authentic feelings that gives
life to each word on the page, helping the reader develop the sense of power and control our feelings
can often mimic. The best way to interpret the play is to submerge ourselves into these characters
realistic emotions that cling to each word. Shakespeare can connect to his reader s emotions while by
demonstrating with each character how powerful words can be. His use of pathos in his writing helps
connects empathy to the characters creating reactions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the article, The Pedagogy of Emotional Response: Feeling Shakespeare s The Winter s Tale by
James Lambert, he refers to the Cognitive Emotional Pedagogy which is a a relatively recent theory
that maintains that the brain s cognitive functions are activated by a person s emotional memory and
state (28). As in, the best way to interpret this play is for the readers to develop a sense of feeling to
the play in order to analyzing and learn from it. I believe Shakespeare is able to do that by
demonstrating the influence words have over the characters thus creating the emotional reactions
inside the play that the audience can relate too. For example, many people can relate to Hermione
where they have tried to convince someone something isn t true but no matter what they say, it will
never change. As a teacher, I want my students to be submerge in this plays ability to use words to
manipulate emotions and put themselves in the character s positions of authenticity and vulnerably.
Lambert also stated, Cognitive Emotional Pedagogy is an exciting and fertile approach to teaching,
but the reason it has not affected higher levels of education, including university and graduate level
training, is probably because it asks teachers to integrate their own emotional experience with that of
the students, which can result in the discomfort of confession and self exposure. Too often a student s
preconceived emotional state, like anger or depression, is brought to bear in class discussions rather
than their a priori emotional response to a text within the class (28). I found this quote interesting
because it is true, Shakespeare does bring up emotional text that most people want to avoid because it
makes us uncomfortable. Too often we avoid talking about the hard to deal with

Describe The Characteristics Of Baroque Music
Baroque music generally has certain elements in common across the board, including but not limited
to: basso continuo, ornamentation, decisive rhythms, melodiousness, and use of several textures. Of
course, different countries in Western Europe had different styles and sub genres within this. Theorists
and composers, such as Jean Philippe Rameau with his treatise on harmony, began defining
characteristics of harmony by studying works of his contemporaries. Although the Baroque music as a
whole sounds similar, it is important to keep in mind that it was not one unified style, but rather it was
separated and understood differently depending on region. Certain style techniques can be attributed to
different regions. For instance, while Italy was known to have melodies that sounded similar to
singing, France was focused on bringing shape to their melodies. In contrast, German composers of
this same time actually did not limit themselves to particular National style choices, but rather looked
to and studied that of composers in other countries. Telemann was a German composer who
exemplified this German style through his works. Not only was he important for the sake of
combining and utilizing different techniques and creating unique pieces to that of his contemporaries,
but he also was the most prolific composer of his time. This Trumpet Concerto displays a blend of
these cosmopolitan styles. Telemann borrowed the French idea of shaping melodies. In the third
movement, the

Cabaret Movie Analysis
Throughout the history of the world, societies have always tried to imagine a utopian way of life
and/or society. But in other cases, the use of raunchy apparel and countless bottles of alcohol are used
to deny the idea of an uprising of a totalitaristic government. This is a brief summary of the two hours
and four minutes of the musical drama Cabaret, directed by Bob Fosse.
Cabaret was pulled from the pages of The Berlin Stories by Christopher Isherwood and later on
adapted into a twelve Tony award winning Broadway musical in 1966. Later on, after Cabaret became
dormant in public eye, Bob Fosse adopted the musical and decided to put in on the big screens in
1972. Fosse made no mistake of recruiting large names for his movie, such as Liza Minnelli, Michael
York and Joel Gray. The Screenplay of Cabaret would continue on to win eight academy awards,
resulting in an almost near sweep of the 1973 oscars, and be named three hundred and sixty seven on
Empire s list of greatest five hundred movies of all time.
Liza Minnelli received the most recognition for her portrayal of socially conflicted Sally Bowles.
Minnelli had been lesser known before her role in Cabaret. Before Cabaret, Minnelli had a few small
roles, and had mainly been performing on stage in front of live audiences. She was known for being
the daughter of Judy Garland, the original Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. Minelli, before hitting the
big screen, received the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for

Ottoman Empire Society
Over the past few weeks in this class I have read about a multitude of societies thought different time
periods. Each society is unique in their own different ways, and with these differences have come
attractions, that make each society desirable, as well as things that make them inconvenient. If I were
to chose one society to live it, it would be the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman empire was established
and soon began to expand, it had the hopes to protect the people under the empire as well as expand
and become powerful. The Ottoman Empire conquered many other societies while maintaining the
philosophy conquer not kill. One aspect that attracts me to the Ottomans was when I read about how
they built their empire by not only absorbing the Muslims of Anatolia as well protecting the Orthodox
Church and the Greek Christians of Anatolia. This struck my attention, because it showed how
blended the culture that surrounds the Ottoman empire is. Another aspect that caught my attention was
how well conquered the Ottoman were, they conquered over 50 cities. The larger cities were ruled

disgusts be that a person would have the desire to own another human being. I am not able to quiet pin
point the issue I find in this, but the fact that these slaves have established a form of social order, gives

Green Mountain s Dark Magic K Cup is a bit magic and a bit dark and a lot good
There s a beginning, middle and end in most movies and books. The exposition serves to set the scene,
followed by the rising action, climax, falling action and finally, the resolution. If coffee were a movie,
then this extra bold K Cup picks up right before the climax. The victim: Green Mountain Coffee s
Dark Magic K Cup is marketed as an extra bold pod that contains more coffee than regular K Cups. Is
it really extra bold? Using a Keurig 2.0 brewing system, I set off to answer this very question. The

William Shakespeare s Othello And The English Language
Poet, playwright, actor and dramatist, William Shakespeare is one of the most influential and greatest

Historically, executions have been around for a long time. The first established death penalty laws date

Establishing Therapeutic Relationships At Risk Children...
Establishing therapeutic relationships is an effective way in facilitating positive change with an
individual. It encourages both, working professionals and clients to participate in a relationship built
on respect, acceptance, trust and empathy, to name a few. Building such trusting bonds, can allow
professionals to gain a better perspective in the challenges and experiences of at risk children and
youth. In my own words, the term at risk children and youth can be defined at those experiencing far
greater risks than resilience in their most critical settings, often making their transition into adulthood
difficult. Based on the content in Trouble Youth and Children, Chapter 5 by Brendtro and Shahbazian

highly significant (P value 0.05) on each other removal. Student t test results revealed that both Zn(II)

similarly showed significant negative effect on Cd(II) removal (P value 0.02). However, in case of
Zn(II) removal, whereas Cu(II) slightly inhibited its removal (P value = 0.053), Pb(II) showed a highly

The latter observation was true for Pb(II) as well with a P value of 0.001. All these results not only

Introduction
Contamination of surface water is mainly due to discharge of untreated industrial and agricultural
effluents that ultimately find their way into the verity water bodies. And this raises a very high
probability of heavy metal contamination in surface water that affects all living organisms by entering
the food chain. This is particularly problematic

Kevin Mitnick Research Paper
In today s society we wonder what are a hacker and their meaning, but according to Wikipedia.com
there are three different types of hackers. You have a white hat, black hat, and grey hat. Kevin Mitnick
was a black hat which means violating computer security for personal gain or pure maliciousness. I
am going to discuss why he was the first black hat, what he did, and how he was penalized. Here s the
reason why.
Kevin David Mitnick was born on August 6, 1963. Mitnick grew up in Los Angeles in 1970s and
attended James Monroe High School. Later Mr. Mitnick enrolled in the Los Angles Pierce College and
then USC. Kevin also worked as a receptionist for Stephen S. Wise Temple. Also Mitnick was shy not
accepted teenager, his desperate need to find ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

slips he found in a dumpster next to the bus company garage (Chapter One: Kevin Mitnick s story,
January 13, 2003). Kevin Mitnick was in high school when he encounters his next hack. Mitnick
hacked his high school computer system. Later Mitnick started to hack Telephone networks. By
hacking the telephone networks that allow him to play treats on a secure phone line, to make free
phone calls, and eavesdrop on anybody he desired. Next Mitnick later was involved in breaking into
the offices of Pacific Bell and stole the technical manuals. In addition to breaking in Pacific Bell he
was arrested. A couple of years went, by Kevin Mitnick broke into a Pentagon computer. By doing so
he was sentenced to six months in a juvenile prison. As of now, you would have figured Mr. Mitnick
would have learned his lesson about hacking into the company s software. Apparently he didn t
because he was later convicted of stealing software form Santa Cruz Operation which is a California
software company. After the fact he was sentenced to 3 years of probation. From now on it seemed

Essay on Capturing and Deploying an Image
The focus of this paper will be installing an operating system over a network to one or many
computers by creating an image. There are multiple ways to install an operating system on a computer.
The way that is chosen depends on the installer s situation. One scenario would be if the installer is
only dealing with a single computer that needs an operating system installed. The other scenario is if
there are many computers that need operating systems installed at one time. An operating system is a
set of programs that manage computer hardware resources and provide common services for
application software. (Operating Systems) Without the operating system, a computer could not
function. Applications would not be able to operate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Using an image is more convenient because the work is done for you once the image has been
deployed. These two methods of installation on a single computer would most likely take place if you
are dealing with your own personal computer or you re helping a friend out. The second scenario is
the need to install an operating system on multiple computers at one time. A situation such as this
would most likely occur in the workplace. For example, if a company is upgrading from one operating
system to another, the IT department would need to deploy an image to all of the new computers to
install the new operating system in a timely fashion. Just like the first scenario, a reference computer
would need to be created that is completely configured according to the companies needs and an
image would then need to be created from that computer. This image would be saved and be able to be
deployed to all of the computers simultaneously. The way the company chooses to deploy an image
can vary from keeping the image on the company s server or stored on a separate laptop and
connecting that laptop to the target computers. The introduction of being able to create an image and
deploy it to multiple computers is a lifesaver for IT technicians and companies. This method saves

The Plane-Personal Narrative
The Smiths got into the airplane, and found their seats. This was Amy s first airplane ride, she was
only 1. Nash was jealous, he was 5 and this was only his second ride on a airplane, his first was when
he was 3 years old. Even though it was only a two year difference, he was very jealous. James, who
was 12 looked nervous, he got motion sickness a lot and had asthma so it s understandable that he
looked nervous. Josie and Robert, the parents, traded Amy for the carry on bag then Josie sat down
with Amy on her lap. The other kids sat down next to Josie then Robert sat on the other side of the
aisle, after putting the carryon bag in the slot. Then the plane took off.
As they were inclining, James started get really sweaty and he began to breathe really heavy. Josie go

A Diverse Background Of My Family
I possess a diverse background of experiences that I bring with me to the classroom. I lived in
Wheaton, Maryland until the spring of third grade. I was immersed in diversity at school and in the
community. Additionally, my family engaged in frequent weekend trips to Washington, D.C. We
frequently visited the Smithsonian museums and the National Zoo. My family lived in a lower middle
class neighborhood. At one time, a family that had defected from the Soviet Union lived next door. I
had been exposed to a myriad of different cultures and ethnicities by the time I was eight years old. In
general, I had been taught to value this diversity, although particularly my father held some
stereotypes and prejudicial beliefs. In 1980, my family moved to rural Spotsylvania County Virginia.
During this time, the area was predominantly White and African American. There was very little
diversity and the majority my peers had never travelled outside the county and the neighboring city,
Fredericksburg. My parents grew up in rural Ohio. My father was the son of a tenant farmer, and my
mother s father engaged in a variety of agricultural industries. My father served in the United States
Navy during Vietnam and this experience led to upward mobility. When we moved to Spotsylvania,
our family was considered middle class. While the majority of my public school experiences occurred
in a relatively homogeneous environment, my experiences following public school were more diverse.
The most diverse

Janice Mason Art Museum Report
I visited the Janice Mason Art Museum located in downtown Cadiz, KY. The gallery they had on
display was Colorstorm If not now... when? by the artist Stacey Torres. The gallery featured upward
towards 50 original paintings. Some of the artworks in this exhibit include: The Reddest Thread,
Cathy, Queen Anne, Poetry Man 1, Poetry Man 2, and Journey. Stacey Torres is an African American
folk artist, writer, and dancer. She was born in Jamaica, New York and currently lives in New Castile,
Indiana. The primary focus of her work is women in natural settings. Her paintings include brilliant
colors using different media and include watercolor, oil pastels, and acrylics. (2) The piece I chose to
review was titled Journey. This was a large (24 x 36) acrylic painting. ... Show more content on

It is a cheerful, acrylic painting created using bold and bright colors made to contrast one another.
Torres used unity and variety with a selection of lines, shapes, and colors. When you first view the
painting, you will notice the directional forces that cause your eyes to view the painting in a particular
order. Staring at the front center, the eyes will follow the path of lines that lead your eyes over the
entire painting. When you take a closer look at the piece, you will begin to notice a repetition of
certain colors and shapes. The painting is also asymmetrically balanced. In my opinion, the most
important Principle of Design used for this piece is contrast. The figure of the woman in the front is
significantly contrasted from the rest of the painting, and she is made to be the focal point. This piece
is representational artwork. It depicts the appearance of a woman and includes subjects from the
everyday world.

Analysis Of A Flower Garden By Li Bai
This poem creates a scene in which the poet, Li Bai is sitting alone under the moonlight as he sips on
his drink and can share his loneliness with no one but the moon and his shadow. By pointing out that
he is at a flower garden with moonlight shined upon him and a pot of wine by his side, the setting of
the poem is rather pleasant and relaxing. The poet, however, appears to be frustrated because he has
no real friends who are there for him. With a quick thought, Li Bai decides to think the moon and his
shadow as his companion and meanwhile starts to sing and dance with them. The fact that neither the
moon nor his shadow is animated does not bother Li Bai as he slowly gets more involved in the
atmosphere he created for himself, or, in his words, it makes us [them] three . From there on, the poet
does not care about what other people think of him anymore and instead starts to live his life the way
that will not leave behind any regrets. In order to achieve such impression and create an image for the
readers, Li Bai incorporates myriad rhetorical devices in the writing of the poem. Out of all techniques
being used, imagery is one that appears throughout the poem. The poem opens up with an image of a
flower garden a which indicates the poet s location and sets the tone for the slight twist in emotion in
next couple of lines of the poem. The poet s mentioning of his loneliness sharply contrasts the setting
in which both wine and flowers are supposed to bring a sense of prosperity and happiness. Moving on,
the fourth and fifth lines express Li Bai s loneliness by creating an image of the faraway moon and his
shadow. The line states that the moon is too far away to enjoy the wine with Li Bai, and his shadow
cannot communicate with or truly comprehend the poet. Li Bai s use of the phrase creeps about my
heels to describe the behavior of his shadow is interesting thoughtful, showing that even though the
shadow is very close to him in distance, Li Bai feels as if all the shadow does is blindly following him.
Considering Li Bai s experience of rejecting the government official s position in Chang an the capital
of China because of his unwillingness to sacrifice his entire life for the Royals monetary

Shakespeare s Romeo and Juiliet Shows the Forcefulness of...
Two households, both alike in dignity, In fair Verona, where we lay our scene, From ancient grudge

two foes A pair of star cross d lovers take their life; Whose misadventured piteous overthrows Do with
their death bury their parents strife. The fearful passage of their death mark d love, And the
continuance of their parents rage, Which, but their children s end, nought could remove, Is now the
two hours traffic of our stage; The which if you with patient ears attend, What here shall miss, our toil

Throughout almost all of act 1 Romeo is heartbroken over Rosaline, until he sees Juliet. Laying his
eyes on Juliet, Romeo says Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear! (Act 1, Scene 5) saying that
Juliet was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.
Furthermore, Romeo and Juliet s love changes their personalities, which further contributes to the
theme of love within the story. At the beginning of the play, Juliet is a young girl who is very faithful
to her family, and compliant to her elders. This is exemplified in Act 1, Scene 3 when Juliet is called
by the nurse and comes forth at once saying How Now! Who calls? and also when she refers to her
mother as Madam . When Juliet meets Romeo, however, her faithfulness to her family is no longer the
most important thing to her. Juliet s family, the Capulet s, and Romeo s family, the Montagues are
foes, so the mere fact that Juliet would even associate with a Montague, let alone fall in love, shows
her loss of devotion to the family. Meeting Romeo also helps Juliet to mature, she changes from being
passive and not wanting to love a man, to being in love and wanting to start a relationship. My only
love, sprung from my only hate. (Act 1, Scene 5) Romeo is also matured by the relationship between
him and Juliet. Romeo s first love towards Rosaline is lustful love but when Romeo meets Juliet, it is
true, passionate love that Romeo is looking for.

CFD Via Large Eddy Simulation Case Study
In chapter 3, it was shown that CFD via Large Eddy Simulation (LES) turbulence closure is capable of
simulating ABL wind characteristics with a better agreement in compare to target theoretical wind
profiles for open terrain condition rather than the other turbulence closures of k ε and Reynolds Stress
Model (RSM). It is because LES uses a spatial filtering operation to separate the larger eddies (which
are more anisotropic) and smaller eddies (which are nearly isotropic). However, the prescribed inlet
velocity in chapter 3 for CFD model of the open jet facility was a uniform wind over the height of test
section, and it was the rule of planks arrangement to produce the final target wind profile.
Furthermore, in chapter 4, some important ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For wind engineering applications and simulation of flow around buildings, the validation can be
defined into two main phases, including: (1) wind flow characteristics validation; and, (2) validation
of simulated pressures on surfaces of building [99]. In this chapter, the CFD LES is carried out to
simulate the inflow turbulence content in such a way to compensate the lack of large eddies in the
flow. The generated transient inflow should possess natural wind characteristics with both time
(temporal) and space (spatial) correlations.
In this chapter, in order to make certain that the developed CFD LES model of a low rise building and
the inlet wind velocity fluctuations are in accordance to real world ABL properties, the full scale
benchmark data from the Wind Engineering Research Field Laboratory (WERFL) at Texas Tech
University (TTU) are used as field recorded wind pressure and velocity data. In addition, wind tunnel
measurement from NIST/UWO and open jet testing at LSU are compared with CFD LES results. The
effects of correlation of wind loading on the roof of low rise buildings are investigated for each cases
as well. In addition, the values of peak pressure coefficients are compared with external pressure
coefficients, GCp, specified for components and cladding (C C) in ASCE 7 10.

The Origins Of The And Riel Rebellion
The Métis/ Riel rebellion is one that echoes in Canadian history. It is the cause for much distress on
both the rebel and the side of the government of Canada. This tail includes different rebellions which
intertwine together; the Red River Rebellion, and the North West Rebellion. The Red River rebellion
itself dates back to 1869 and ended in 1870, while the North West Rebellion occurred in 1885; which
was a quick and deadly revolution (New, 2002:826). The lead up to these historic event date back
much earlier than 1869. Multiple events collided together resulting with the people in what is known

to take over its land; resulting in Canada becoming the victor by buying Rupert s Land three years

transition by land area in Canada s history. (Bumsted, 06) It is at this time that chaos begins to ensue
across Rupert s Land and with those that dwell within its borders. Protestants begin to flood the land,
each bringing their culture and heritage with them. With each new member immigrating to the newly
brought land, the fears its original habitant s loss of heritage grew. Land that was once owned by the
francophone, Métis and aboriginal settlers slowly became tainted by their new Protestant neighbours.
The neither British crown nor Canadian government made any attempt to put their mind at ease, and
help them with their fear of losing everything they hold dear; instead they chose to act as if Rupert s
land had no previous inhabitants. By 1969 an individual by the name of Louis Riel

The Wine Of Wine And Wine
Picture this: a star filled night after a long day, its time for some relaxation. It is time to go to the wine
shelve, pick a great bottle of wine and then pour a glass. Swirling the glass and an aroma begins to
waft, expelling a polite bouquet of fruit and spice. This starts a chain reaction to the nose that then
sends a sensation to start the mouth salivating. With the first sip, the sensation of the acidity and body
of the wine tickles the tongue, the flavors intensify as if each sip is a building block and layering each
flavor atop the next. A pleasant state of relaxation occurs giving the sense of euphoria. Many people
are getting into wine and wine making because the amount of marketing that is bombarding consumer.
Throughout the growing market of the wine industry more and more people seem to be getting into the
wine scene. Wine making has been around for seven thousand years, not always was it as palatable as
what we see modern day wines (Philips, 2000). Throughout the decades wine has been cultivated,
pressed or smashed, and siphoned into what we know as the modern day wine. Wine is being made
more accessible to us from a local and global standpoint allowing consumer to be able to get wines
from distances that would have seemed impossible before. People enjoy wine and the way it looks, the
way it smells, and the way it tastes. The wine industry over the past years have really began to grab
hold of that intention and feed off of it. A few ways that the

The Characterisation Of Duryodhana
Characterisation of Duryodhana in Bhasa s play Urubhanga
Bhasa starts his play Urubhanga with the picturisation of samandhapanjaka war in the eyes of
warriers. There after the war of two equal fighters Bhima and Duryodhana. In between the
explanations of their physical features Bhima fall down with the beat of Duryodhana with his mace.
Duryodhana advised him to come out of fear. When their war restart Krishna advised Bhima to hit
Duryodhana in his thigh. It is quite different from current phrases. This incident leads to express the
intensity of inner feeling thereafter. Balarama felt angry to Beema for not giving any importance to the
norms and rules of mace. He introduced the cheated Duryodhana. Duryodhana s repentance is
revealed through his words that Beema (pandavas) didn t threaten him. Duryodhana disagree to the
words of Balarama that he will sent the pandavas who killed Duryodhana to heaven along with him in
his journey to there (32). There we found the helplessness, merciful Duryodhana. Duryodhana s these
feeling revealed through his word to Balarama. He asked him that Kauravas were killed, i too in this
instance, then what is the relevance of war? According to Duryodhana, this is not a victory to

Literary genre refers to specific types of literature by classifying and analyzing pieces of fictional
work. Also to be known as a theoretical construct, including a known selection of elements and
functions of all stages of literary work. Examples of genre are love stories, science fiction, comedy,
horror, drama, thriller, fantasy, adventure, action, action, crime, historical, political, and romance are

damage to the Gulf Coast, especially to New Orleans. Many lives were lost, and the people were both
physically and mentally distraught. However, after just six months the people of New Orleans
gathered their spirits to celebrate Mardi Gras. This celebration proved that the city s identity had not
been forgotten. New Orleans identity was also evident during the hurricane, which highlighted the
ways in which people cared for each other. Although New Orleans went through an environmental

Specifically, jazz music is the soul of New Orleans and was actually born there. Congo square was the
very spot where Jazz music was born (Lee). This was the only place African slaves could play their
drums in New Orleans. In fact, it was the only place in America where the slaves had that type of
freedom. The slave holders would allow the African slaves to be off work every Sunday. The other
states in North America would never allow this freedom. Music was everywhere in New Orleans:
churches, funerals, celebrations, parades, the French opera. Jazz music plays a significant role in
funerals because it provides comfort. Slow, traditional tunes would be played to mourn over the death
of a loved one. Once some words are exchanged over the dead, the jazz becomes more up beat and
turns into a celebration. This change in beat signifies that, although the people are sad they had to let
the person go, they are happy they actually got to know them (Lee). This tradition was used over the
victims of Hurricane Katrina, which allowed the people to mourn. Without their jazz, New Orleans
probably wouldn t have gotten through all of the deaths they had to face. Music will always speak to

The Ciprari brothers are well known in their town of Southbridge, Massachusetts, however their once close relationship is presently a frigid one as income issues, unpaid bills, and complaining employees undermine to demolish their relationship and their business. That s the place where Marcus Lemonis comes in. He is an expert business, the master specialist, investor, and TV character will invest money in SJC Drums Company. • 5. Crazy Rich Asian Rich In The Great Gatsby Abstract Research Question: A comparative study of how wealth is perceived and interpreted in The Great Gatsby and Crazy Rich Asians Crazy, Rich, Asians by Kevin Kwan and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott FitzGerald are two amazing books which play on stereotypes of every fashion and kind. Through the stereotypes however, it can be agreed that there is much truth as with most stereotypes. A huge difference between Crazy, Rich, Asians and The Great Gatsby, however, is that both books offer completely different sides to a very similar story with vastly differing outcomes. The story which the two books so well portray is one of stereotypes and wealth the story of the rich and their lives in the fast lane. There are, however, underlying differences ... Traditional Peranakan culture is one that is matriarchal, and nothing in the house especially marriage or engagement is to proceed without her express approval. The Asian Culture is very different from the Western one in this aspect The Great Gatsby is a classic novel which features wealth as well and is in my honest opinion a good example of western culture and speech. Furthermore, The Great Gatsby is a book which emphasises the fact that the main character (Gatsby) does not have known family or a well documented history. Such a context serves as a perfect foil to the book Crazy, Rich Asians which emphasises the importance of family roots. So, what sets the media averse Asians, the vulgar Asians, and the Western wealthy apart? Is it their varying degrees of expenditure or the number of cars they own? I would say no, what sets them apart is the perception and interpretation of their wealth by the society which they are in. Perception and the role of society has always been to be a community, and what a community does is set certain moral and material standards to which one would aspire to fit perfectly. Society is what defines people s behaviours and ultimately the culture of a certain part of the world, be it Western or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the United States, and many other wealthy and developed nations, many people experience what is known as relative poverty which is essentially a measure of income inequality and is usually dependent on social views and opportunity rather than complete scarcity. Poverty in the United States, while not as severe, is still a major issue. I will discuss the effects that poverty has on families today in America and how it relates to single mothers, food insecurity, and education. • 7. Downfall by Richard B. Frank Downfall by Richard B. Frank was a very insightful book about the fall of the Imperial Japanese Empire. The book was centered around the recounts and the opinions of Richard Frank on why the Imperial Japanese Empire had collapse. He got his information from credited sources from some highly classified documents from the time of all of the events had taken place. Throughout the book, Frank made references about some minor reasons and major reasons as to why the Empire had collapsed. His biggest reason was the dropping of the two atomic bombs. There will be more details of that in the essay later on. The first theme that Richard Frank had discussed dealt with the mini bombings that the United States had down to Japan after the attacks on Pearl Harbor. Frank said the reason for these raids on Tokyo was to set the tone for what the United States was capable of. In other words, Frank felt these raids were going to put Japan in the hole in a hurry. The raids were done by B 29s that dropped many bombs on Tokyo. Frank said how these raids left tons of destruction to the city and said how there were around 80,000 killed as a result of the raids. Frank described the city as having constant fire that was hard to be put out. He said how this was Tokyo s biggest disaster up till that date. Frank exclaimed how these raids had also slowed down the war process from Japan. He said it was because of the shock factor the Japanese endured after the raids. The Identity of Black Women in the Post Bellum Period 1865 1885 Throughout history, the black woman has always had a multitude of responsibilities thrust upon her shoulders. This was never truer than for southern black women in the period between 1865 and 1885. In this span of twenty years, these women were responsible for their children, their husbands, supporting their families, their fight for freedom as black citizens and as women, their sexual freedom, and various other issues that impacted their lives. All of these aspects of the black woman s life defined who she was. Each of her experiences and battles shaped the life that she lived, and the way she was perceived by the outside world. These women learned quickly, however, that they would not be equals just because they were now free. The job opportunities available to black women, like many other aspects of their lives, would be of much less quality than the jobs offered to the rest of the population. They would be low paying, involve extended hours, and would put them in constant danger; black women would have to negotiate the literal rough terrain of Atlanta and the social consequences it imposed on their everyday lives as they struggled to earn a living for their families and searched for peace of mind. They would have to persevere in their quest to work and support their household. After the Civil War, all black citizens of the Unites States were allegedly free. The thirteenth amendment banning slavery had been passed and the reconstruction of the South was moving along swiftly. This promised freedom, however, was far from what was expected. There were many laws and forces at work to keep blacks in some type of involuntary servitude. Some of the laws that limited black freedom included making it a crime to hire away a worker who had been under contract with a different employer (so called enticement laws), various contract enforcement statutes that bound the black worker to their employer, and vagrancy statutes in which unemployed ... In 1975, O Brien receives a letter from Norman Bowker hoping that O Brien can write a story about the experience he had during the Vietnam War and his feelings about Kiowa s death. • 11. Christian Beliefs And Similarities Of Beowulf And Jesus Both Beowulf and Jesus have many similarities. Beowulf displays many Christ like qualities throughout the book and even receives godly assistance in his times of need. Beowulf and Christ are very similar throughout each of their stories. Therefore, Beowulf is the Christ figure of Beowulf. In the beginning of Beowulf, the Danes are being terrorized by the gruesome Grendel. Grendel attacks the people and fills them with fear. He leads them into the jaws of death. Grendel is even a descendent of Cain, making the battle between him and Beowulf a struggle between the powers of good and evil. Similarly, the dragon may symbolize Satan terrorizing our lives and trying to lead us astray and into temptation. The dragon s primary goal is also to obtain as much gold and riches as possible, and to hoard them, protecting it with his fire and the fear he struck into the hearts of the people. Beowulf hears of the death and destruction that is happening, and decides to sail to their rescue, much like Jesus. Here Beowulf can clearly be seen as a Christ figure when he defeats Grendel, Grendel s mother, and the dragon; he acts as their savior. He slays them all with courage and bravery, just like Jesus had no fear in Matthew 23:13 36, Matthew 21:12, 13, John 16:33, John 5:15 18; 7:14, and John 2:14 17. Jesus showed his courage and bravery throughout all these verses, and many more throughout the Bible. He showed it even when he was a child. Beowulf shows his bravery all ... • 12. What Is Josh Sounder Essay Josh Bailey was drafted with the 9th pick in the 2008 NHL entry draft. Crazy to think that this coming June, it will be 10 years since that moment. Looking back to that time, it wasn t exactly an ideally situation. The islanders had the 5th overall pick going into that draft. They would trade that to the leafs and swipe first round picks. The isles would move back to the 7th pick which was then moved to Nashville and they would end up picking Bailey with the 9th overall pick. 10 years after there are still a lot of people who just don t like having Bailey on the team. He is playing way to well to hate this season and it s time to consider him an elite and valuable part of the New York Islanders. Coming off a career season of 56 points, Bailey is off to a hot start in the 2017 2018 season. Through 17 games, he currently has 18 points, which puts him on an 87 point pace for this season. Last season, he was placed on a line with John Tavares and Andres Lee and that line worked wonders. With the addition of Jordan Eberle this season, that bumped Bailey off the top line. After about 7 games, coach Weight decided to put the line back together. Bailey, despite having a strong start to the season, didn t miss a beat rejoining his line mates from last season. With such passionate displays of raw emotions, Shakespeare is able to captivate his audience in The Winter s Tale. Each character displays such authentic feelings that gives life to each word on the page, helping the reader develop the sense of power and control our feelings can often mimic. The best way to interpret the play is to submerge ourselves into these characters realistic emotions that cling to each word. In the article, The Pedagogy of Emotional Response: Feeling Shakespeare s The Winter s Tale by James Lambert, he refers to the Cognitive Emotional Pedagogy which is a a relatively recent theory that maintains that the brain s cognitive functions are activated by a person s emotional memory and state (28). As in, the best way to interpret this play is for the readers to develop a sense of feeling to the play in order to analyzing and learn from it. I believe Shakespeare is able to do that by demonstrating the influence words have over the characters thus creating the emotional reactions inside the play that the audience can relate too. For example, many people can relate to Hermione where they have tried to convince someone something isn t true but no matter what they say, it will never change. As a teacher, I want my students to be submerge in this plays ability to use words to manipulate emotions and put themselves in the character s positions of authenticity and vulnerably. Lambert also stated, Cognitive Emotional Pedagogy is an exciting and fertile approach to teaching, but the reason it has not affected higher levels of education, including university and graduate level training, is probably because it asks teachers to integrate their own emotional experience with that of the students, which can result in the discomfort of confession and self exposure. Too often a student s preconceived emotional state, like anger or depression, is brought to bear in class discussions rather than their a priori emotional response to a text within the class (28). I found this quote interesting because it is true, Shakespeare does bring up emotional text that most people want to avoid because it makes us uncomfortable. • 14. Describe The Characteristics Of Baroque Music Baroque music generally has certain elements in common across the board, including but not limited to: basso continuo, ornamentation, decisive rhythms, melodiousness, and use of several textures. Of course, different countries in Western Europe had different styles and sub genres within this. Theorists and composers, such as Jean Philippe Rameau with his treatise on harmony, began defining characteristics of harmony by studying works of his contemporaries. Although the Baroque music as a whole sounds similar, it is important to keep in mind that it was not one unified style, but rather it was separated and understood differently depending on region. Certain style techniques can be attributed to different regions. For instance, while Italy was known to have melodies that sounded similar to singing, France was focused on bringing shape to their melodies. In contrast, German composers of this same time actually did not limit themselves to particular National style choices, but rather looked to and studied that of composers in other countries. Telemann was a German composer who exemplified this German style through his works. Not only was he important for the sake of combining and utilizing different techniques and creating unique pieces to that of his contemporaries, but he also was the most prolific composer of his time. This Trumpet Concerto displays a blend of these cosmopolitan styles. Telemann borrowed the French idea of shaping melodies. In the third movement, the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. Cabaret Movie Analysis Throughout the history of the world, societies have always tried to imagine a utopian way of life and/or society. But in other cases, the use of raunchy apparel and countless bottles of alcohol are used to deny the idea of an uprising of a totalitaristic government. This is a brief summary of the two hours and four minutes of the musical drama Cabaret, directed by Bob Fosse. Cabaret was pulled from the pages of The Berlin Stories by Christopher Isherwood and later on adapted into a twelve Tony award winning Broadway musical in 1966. Later on, after Cabaret became dormant in public eye, Bob Fosse adopted the musical and decided to put in on the big screens in 1972. Fosse made no mistake of recruiting large names for his movie, such as Liza Minnelli, Michael York and Joel Gray. The Screenplay of Cabaret would continue on to win eight academy awards, resulting in an almost near sweep of the 1973 oscars, and be named three hundred and sixty seven on Empire s list of greatest five hundred movies of all time. Liza Minnelli received the most recognition for her portrayal of socially conflicted Sally Bowles. Minnelli had been lesser known before her role in Cabaret. Before Cabaret, Minnelli had a few small roles, and had mainly been performing on stage in front of live audiences. She was known for being the daughter of Judy Garland, the original Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. Minelli, before hitting the big screen, received the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for ... Each society is unique in their own different ways, and with these differences have come attractions, that make each society desirable, as well as things that make them inconvenient. The Ottoman empire was established and soon began to expand, it had the hopes to protect the people under the empire as well as expand and become powerful. The Ottoman Empire conquered many other societies while maintaining the philosophy conquer not kill. One aspect that attracts me to the Ottomans was when I read about how they built their empire by not only absorbing the Muslims of Anatolia as well protecting the Orthodox Church and the Greek Christians of Anatolia. • 17. Essay On Green Mountain s Dark Magic Green Mountain s Dark Magic K Cup is a bit magic and a bit dark and a lot good There s a beginning, middle and end in most movies and books. The exposition serves to set the scene, followed by the rising action, climax, falling action and finally, the resolution. If coffee were a movie, then this extra bold K Cup picks up right before the climax. The victim: Green Mountain Coffee s Dark Magic K Cup is marketed as an extra bold pod that contains more coffee than regular K Cups. Is it really extra bold? Using a Keurig 2.0 brewing system, I set off to answer this very question. The machine rumbles to life and an opaque liquid gurgles into the cup. It looks pretty bold. It encourages both, working professionals and clients to participate in a relationship built on respect, acceptance, trust and empathy, to name a few. Building such trusting bonds, can allow professionals to gain a better perspective in the challenges and experiences of at risk children and youth. In my own words, the term at risk children and youth can be defined at those experiencing far greater risks than resilience in their most critical settings, often making their transition into adulthood difficult. Based on the content in Trouble Youth and Children, Chapter 5 by Brendtro and Shahbazian (2004), I will outline five key guidelines I, as a child and youth worker would use in my work with at risk kids, when developing therapeutic relationships and extending attachment. Both these metals (Zn(II) and Pb(II) similarly showed significant negative effect on Cd(II) removal (P value 0.02). However, in case of Zn(II) removal, whereas Cu(II) slightly inhibited its removal (P value = 0.053), Pb(II) showed a highly significant negative effect (P value 0.001). Besides, Zn(II) inhibited its own removal in the mixture. The latter observation was true for Pb(II) as well with a P value of 0.001. Just like the first scenario, a reference computer would need to be created that is completely configured according to the companies needs and an image would then need to be created from that computer. We frequently visited the Smithsonian museums and the National Zoo. My family lived in a lower middle class neighborhood. At one time, a family that had defected from the Soviet Union lived next door. I had been exposed to a myriad of different cultures and ethnicities by the time I was eight years old. • 27. Analysis Of A Flower Garden By Li Bai This poem creates a scene in which the poet, Li Bai is sitting alone under the moonlight as he sips on his drink and can share his loneliness with no one but the moon and his shadow. By pointing out that he is at a flower garden with moonlight shined upon him and a pot of wine by his side, the setting of the poem is rather pleasant and relaxing. The poet, however, appears to be frustrated because he has no real friends who are there for him. With a quick thought, Li Bai decides to think the moon and his shadow as his companion and meanwhile starts to sing and dance with them. The fact that neither the moon nor his shadow is animated does not bother Li Bai as he slowly gets more involved in the atmosphere he created for himself, or, in his words, it makes us [them] three . From there on, the poet does not care about what other people think of him anymore and instead starts to live his life the way that will not leave behind any regrets. In order to achieve such impression and create an image for the readers, Li Bai incorporates myriad rhetorical devices in the writing of the poem. Out of all techniques being used, imagery is one that appears throughout the poem. The poem opens up with an image of a flower garden a which indicates the poet s location and sets the tone for the slight twist in emotion in next couple of lines of the poem. The poet s mentioning of his loneliness sharply contrasts the setting in which both wine and flowers are supposed to bring a sense of prosperity and happiness. Moving on, the fourth and fifth lines express Li Bai s loneliness by creating an image of the faraway moon and his shadow. The line states that the moon is too far away to enjoy the wine with Li Bai, and his shadow cannot communicate with or truly comprehend the poet. Li Bai s use of the phrase creeps about my heels to describe the behavior of his shadow is interesting thoughtful, showing that even though the shadow is very close to him in distance, Li Bai feels as if all the shadow does is blindly following him. Furthermore, Romeo and Juliet s love changes their personalities, which further contributes to the theme of love within the story. CFD Via Large Eddy Simulation Case Study In chapter 3, it was shown that CFD via Large Eddy Simulation (LES) turbulence closure is capable of simulating ABL wind characteristics with a better agreement in compare to target theoretical wind profiles for open terrain condition rather than the other turbulence closures of k ε and Reynolds Stress Model (RSM). It is because LES uses a spatial filtering operation to separate the larger eddies (which are more anisotropic) and smaller eddies (which are nearly isotropic). However, the prescribed inlet velocity in chapter 3 for CFD model of the open jet facility was a uniform wind over the height of test section, and it was the rule of planks arrangement to produce the final target wind profile. The generated transient inflow should possess natural wind characteristics with both time (temporal) and space (spatial) correlations. In this chapter, in order to make certain that the developed CFD LES model of a low rise building and the inlet wind velocity fluctuations are in accordance to real world ABL properties, the full scale benchmark data from the Wind Engineering Research Field Laboratory (WERFL) at Texas Tech University (TTU) are used as field recorded wind pressure and velocity data.
