John Green, one of my biggest role models, once said, Imagining the future is a kind of nostalgia.
Nostalgia means something you long for, I long for a bright future. In my future, I desire to be an
author. In order to accomplish that, I must thoughtfully construct a plan that will lead me to the
ultimate result of the life that I crave for. Authors influenced me to want to become an author myself.
After reading a wide range of books by varying writers like Ned Vizzini, J.D Salinger, Natalie Babbit,
Mitch Albom, and as I said earlier, John Green, I am determined to leave that evangelical zeal that you
get from books, and only books, on my readers the way many books have done to me before.

I often wonder how much more amazing my mother would have been if she had been afforded the

idea. I was a bit worried that our session together might not be as personal as I would like and that he

Proteus mirabilis is a Gram negative, dimorphic bacillus and a facultative anaerobe bacterium. It is a
motile member of the family Enterobacteriaceae. This bacteria colonies shows a unique characteristic
called swarming behavior. Swarming occurs when the flagellate rods grow into long chain swarmer
cells, the swarmers gather together forming rafts that swim together, growing into a complex biofilm.

Diseases:
Statistically, about 90% of the proteus infections are caused by proteus mirabilis. It is an opportunist
pathogen, which means it can cause diseases if it colonizes another place other than the
gastrointestinal tract.
P. mirabilis is commonly associated with urinary tract infections. The infection begins when the
organism moves from urethra to the urinary bladder. Urinary tract infections caused by P. mirabilis are
mostly found in patients under long term catherization. Other groups of patients that are at high risks
of the diseases include; those patients with structural abnormalities of the urinary tract, patients with
recurrent infections and patients whose infections were acquired in the hospital or long term care
facilities.
Proteus mirabilis infections accounts for 1% 2% of urinary tract infections in healthy women, 5% of
nosocomial urinary infections and catheterization has a high prevalence of 20% 45%. The organism
causes bladder infection and kidney infection. P. mirabilis produces large amounts of urease which
splits urea into carbon dioxide and ammonia. This process increases the alkalinity of the urine and also
it precipitates magnesium and calcium in the form of struvite and apatite crystals respectively. The
