english quotation essay
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change yourself and the world.
There is a reason why every civilization throughout time has valued education, because it truly can
alter our collective condition and make our lives easier, simpler, and most crucially, happier! From
Egyptians learning to write on papyrus tablets to late nineteenth century scientists striving to discover
medicines like penicillin, there has always been an urge in humanity to be better and to be more than
what we have been before. Man s highest achievements the building of bridges and overwhelming
skyscrapers, to video chatting and space travel the marvels of modern day living that we take for
granted today, were once just mere ideas in people s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The strength and force of education is visible to anyone who cares to look at the recent Egyptian
revolution, where young students, with minds opened to the wonders of democracy, through
education, helped overthrow the yoke of suffering that their parents had silently borne. Education is
the silent and effective weapon of nonviolence, which can help people and societies break the cycle of
oppression that many have historically suffered from. Many oppressed societies, where dictators have
thrived, have had a paucity of education avenues.
Education liberates the mind from its shackles and fears and encourages it to challenge and to
communicate with others. It is not without a reason that education is at the bottom of the priority list
of dictators. It was also not without reason that upon annexation of neighboring states. Many dictators
find it easy to unscrupulously deny people education or better still, manipulate education to serve their
own selfish interests. Throughout history, and even today, autocratic leaders censor literature and
books and prevent potent ideas from spreading since they realize that an idea is the most powerful
force in the world and can transform a human being completely. More importantly though, to me, an
educated person also has the capability to objectively analyze issues, recognize and learn from
existing flaws,

Analysis Of The Topeka Public Library
Through the years 2000 and 2005, the Topeka Public Library had a staff member named Melissa
Robertson. She worked downstairs mostly, where her cubicle was filled with pictures of her and her
daughter in various parks, laughing about various memories. There always seemed to be an empty
tupperware pan, too. This pan had held the cinnamon rolls she brought for everyone every Friday, they
were gone within minutes. The secret ingredient was instant mashed potato mix to make them fluffy, a
fact that always confused her daughter.
Melissa also volunteered at the local toy store, reading stories for all the children visiting the store. As
soon as the announcement was made over the intercom, their eyes lit up and they stumbled up the
stairs in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When she smiled, everyone else did too; rooms lit up with pure joy in her presence.
One of the few people lucky enough to spend the majority of their life with Melissa was Kay
Kuhlman, they became friends when they were toddlers and maintained that friendship into adulthood.
When they were in grade school, Kay s house caught fire, causing her to lose not only her home, but
many of her possessions too. Melissa was there, offering help in any way she could. When the incident
repeated in high school, she provided material and emotional help again. At just 17 years old, Kay
learned she was pregnant, and Melissa was one of the first people she told even though she was
terrified of losing her best friend. She never said anything negative towards her, and instead assured
her she had always been her friend, and she would be there for her through that as well. A few years
later, Melissa gave birth to her own kid and their children quickly became friends; Melissa loved both
children so wholly she wrote to the local newspaper about them and got an article published, which is
still in Kay s house to this day.
Many people looked up to Melissa, wanted to learn how to be so compassionate and cared for. It was a
lesson that is not easily taught, but she did so beautifully. She cared about people with all of her heart,
in the way some people only care about their family members. She always helped in any way she
could, and excelled at pep talks. No one in her life ever

Stephanie Noland
Africa has a huge problem with dictators not running the country so that it can operate at its fullest
potential. In her book Why 28 Stephanie Noland tries to make the population aware of the problem
stating, He dealt the country s vibrant economy a first harsh blow, making a massive payment to men
who claimed to be veterans of the fight for independence... of Zimbabwe s dictator Mugabe (Noland
299). This shows that as a ruler he was not concerned in using money to heal his country. His love of
power is tearing his country apart, causing his population to dwindle, and driving his economy into the
ground. Mugabe Sent troops to demolish houses on the slums were he believed people had voted
against him, writes Stephanie (Noland 300). This is essential because it shows the lengths he was
willing to go to to stay the head of the country. He was willing to further decimate his population, just
to make sure there was never a rebellion. All this oppression, abuse of power, and neglect can not go
on for long without the people rising up and fighting back. This is how civil wars are created. ... Show

We must cut the tall trees, we must cut the tall trees now, yells an actor in the movie Hotel Rowanda

African countries. Moreover, some citizens take it upon themselves to fix something they deem unfit.
As portrayed by Nadine in her book the ultimate safari when she writes our government calls them

these people don t realize is that if they kill everyone they will not have anyone to rule after the civil

Postpartum Depression ( Ppd )
Grase Garlobo Professor N. Hammond ENC 1101 23 October 2015 Postpartum Depression (PPD) The
birth of a baby can trigger powerful emotions such as joy, excitement, maybe some fear and anxiety.
But it can also trigger something you did not expect depression. The depression is called postpartum
depression, or also known as postnatal depression, it s a type of depression that can affect both the
mother and the father. This is most likely to happen after giving birth or up to a year later. But it
usually occurs within the first three months after delivery. Postpartum depression doesn t actually have
a specific cause but it is mostly caused by the anxiety of the responsibilities of parenthood. (Mayo
Clinic Staff) There s isn t a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All of this may play an important role in postpartum depression. If left untreated, postpartum
depression can interfere with parents child attachment and cause family problems later on in life. For
mothers, untreated postpartum depression can last for months or up to years, sometimes becoming a
chronic depressive disorder. Even when treated, postpartum depression increases a woman s risk of
future episodes of major depression. For fathers, postpartum depression can have a ripple effect,
causing emotional damage for everyone close to a new baby. According to the Mayo Clinic Staff,
When a new mother is depressed, the risk of depression in the baby s father may also increase . New
dads are already at a highly risk of depression, whether or not the mother is affected. Children of
parents who have untreated postpartum depression are most likely to have emotional and behavior
problems, such as sleeping and eating disorders, excessive crying, and attention deficit/hyperactivity
disorder (ADHD). And will also delay in language development. Treatment and recovery time vary on
the mother or father and depending on the seriousness of the depression. Postpartum depression is
usually treated with psychotherapy or mostly known as talking therapy, medication, or sometimes it
can be both at the same time. Psychotherapy, may help for the parent(s) talk through their troubles

Why Do People Behave The Way They Do
n A leaders guide to why people behave the way they do , Clawson points leaders who want to
increase their effectiveness at leading through influence to the need to be able to dig deep below the
surface of the observable everyday human behaviour in order to understand why people behave the
way they do. Clawson argues that it is by paying attention to the human side of individuals people s
Values, Attitudes, Beliefs and Expectations (VABEs) which together shape behaviour that gives
leaders insights into people s motivations. As VABEs are deeply ingrained and shaped through a
combination of our genetic makeup, the experience of how we were nurtured and the beliefs and

Sexism As A Scientist Or Engineer
In the long history of sexism in science, technology, engineer and mathematics (STEM), women have
been discrimination of being unfit or not apprehensiveness enough for being a scientist or engineer by
men who have high doubtful on women or mocking women working as an engineer that they would
destroy something. Determining or judging the action of the gender in different position and the
thinking of discrimination from the superior race or gender to the lesser is what it called sexism.
Sexism is most common in science and engineer especially women is the most affected.
In my desired job position in the world of Biotechnology, I have an inferior knowledge in my brain
about women in the lab. In the past of my experiences with my brother, I went to visit his college
called California State University, Fresno or Fresno State for short. I used my experience in this essay
because it is related to my job position and the case that I will explain henceforth in this essay. I
entered Fresno State to explore several buildings on campus. The first building I went into is College
of Science and Mathematics. As you see, I love to learn about microorganisms, so I went to see the
lab. As I peeked in the lab, I noticed something that seems not right. I don t see any women in the lab,
just men. I asked someone in the lab why is there no women in the lab. That person told me those

Guerilla Warfare In The Movie, The Patriot
Today in time guerrilla warfare is used by one of the strongest armies of the world. These tactics were
used even back during the revolutionary war. In the movie the Patriot, this movie portrays the fight
during the revolutionary war and the battles and the horror they faced. The battlegrounds used in the
war were a person s backyard. This new idea of guerilla warfare brought to the war was
unconventional and efficient. There were small militias taking out countless redcoats. Although it
wasn t the traditional form of fighting it worked. In the movie, the militia was led by Benjamin
Martin. General Martin and his militias tactics were honorable.
The colonist were English natives so their tactics were the same as the British army. The Continental
Regulars would line up like the British and mimic almost everything they would do. The British are
more trained and accurate so they would win every battle. The colonists were going to lose the war if
it wasn t for Benjamin Martin. Colonel Tavington shot the son of Benjamin Martin named Thomas
Martin. That fired him up and what started the rebellion using the militia. The first sight of the guerilla
warfare was when they attempted to take his oldest son. He and his two ... Show more content on

Ron Howard manipulates responders views of verisimilitude to illustrate that each individual s
understanding of truth may be unique. Through careful analysis of filmic devices we as a responder
are able to see that in Ron Howard s film A Beautiful Mind that truth can be subjective and also that
an external perspective is required to reveal and confirm truth. Howard s film A Beautiful Mind

Beowulf, The Great Warrior
In the first speech, (pages 42 43; lines 260 285) Beowulf has just arrived on the beach of the Danes,
King Hrothgar s territory. An unnamed coastguard is obviously intimidated by the proportion, design,
and occupants of Beowulf s craft, yet he stops the warrior to ask his business and inquire after his
heritage. Thus, the hero of Beowulf, the great warrior himself, introduces himself to the coastguard
and in doing so, to the readers (or oral audiences of the time). Beowulf mentions his famous relatives,
including that they are, King Hygelac s hearth companions and his, noble father was known as
Edgetheow, a front fighter famous among nations... (Longman 42; lines 261 263). Beowulf is careful
in everything he mentions, whether regarding his lineage or Hrothgar, to point to the great deeds and
heroism of them, rather than himself. The warrior certainly knows how to speak with reverence and
eloquence to the watchman to gain himself and his soldiers passage into Hrothgar s hall, saying, [i]t is
with loyal and true intention that we come to seek you lord the son of Healfdene, guardian of the
people (Longman 42; lines 267 268). Beowulf continues on the acknowledge King Hrothgar s power
and flatter the coastguard s master mentioning they have a, great errand to the glorious hero, the
Shepherd of the Danes... (Longman 42 43; lines 270 271). Beowulf upholds an incredibly
distinguished bearing, maintaining composure and properly addressing the watchman along with

Essay about Introducing the New Coke

1. What is the case about?
This case study is the story of Coca Cola, its history and the report about one of the most fascinating
stories about the company this is still regarded by many as a mysterious case: the introduction of the
new Coke .
The author Susan Fournier, in the case study went on by presenting the history of the Coca Cola
Company: how the company started and how throughout its history it became a brand, a part of
everyone s life both nationally and globally. Anecdotes and little stories were told about how Coca
Cola became a part of the American Culture, it how it changed the way consumers around the world

By connecting to their consumers constantly and effectively through excellent advertising, Coca Cola
was able to provide brand loyalty. With diversification within the company s products, the brand was
able to stay relevant throughout time.
Coca Cola meanings came from various sources, most notably the changes in the culture in the United
States in the 1900s. The company quickly adapted to the social and cultural changes like pop culture;
throughout artwork, they were able to reach the heart of America s youth. The company was able to
take advantage of the current events; most notably the world war which helped the company s being
global.
The story of coke and Santa Claus was a strong example of how Coke s meanings made a connection
to Christmas and forever associated itself with America s youth. In the early 1900s, Santa Claus was
represented in various ways to the American audience: the saint was illustrated in blue, yellow or
green; sometimes he was tall or was an elf. Coca Cola hired an artist, Haddon Sundblom, who, in
1931, created the Coca Cola classic Santa Claus. The caricature presented everything about the brand:
it was bigger than life and joyful. With his illustrations and those awaited yearly Christmas ads, the
artist and Coca Cola shaped the way we, the consumers view Santa today.

development consists of the foundation on which the first three aspects .According to Burkey (1993:

development is a broad concept, it has been extensively explored with a view to realize that economic

material gain to the people, but development is about enrichment of the lives of the people in the

French Indian War Essay
The French and Indian War
The French and Indian war raged from 1754 to 1763. Its roots began long before the first shot was
fired, about 100 years before between the French and the English. The French and Indian War was not
fought between the French and the Indians, but the two allied with the Canadians against the English.
It was the catalyst for the Seven Years War, from 1756 1763, which was brought over into Europe, the
Carnatic Wars, and it eventually lead to the American Revolution.
By the late 1600 s to the beginning of the 1700 s, the colonization of the America s by the English had

This was soon to be an act of war since England and France were at peace. The French tricked Major
Washington into signing a letter written in French, which stated that Major Washington assassinated
the 10 Frenchmen and attacked the rest.
The always present Indian problem added to England s decision to send two regiments of troops to
protect the colonizers. When the French heard word of this they too sent several regiments of troops to
protect the frontiersmen and settlers in their territory in New France. Peace talks in England soon
began between the French. The commander of France s troops was Baron de Dieskau who was under
orders to defend New France and not to instigate any attack. The English sent General Braddock with
a larger force than Major Washington to make war with the French on the frontier. The French being
well aware of their surroundings, made good use of it while ambushing the English as they marched in
columns toward the French to attack Fort Duqesne. The French certainly got the upper hand in this
attack, killing many of the English soldiers and causing the to retreat. The English never faught in a
gorilla warfare manner, but in columns and rows often facing musket and cannon fire. While the
French sent troops over to the Americas, the English had 11 war ships waiting for the French to arrive.

Impact Of Technology On The Banking Industry
Changing Technologies The change and advancement in technology are a significant factor in the
banking business. Technology has led to tremendous improvements in this industry. Since the
commencement of this millennium, people have shown great love for their mobile phones (Ozaki
1992). It necessitated the invention of mobile applications (APPs). From the introduction of the
mobile banking, APP people rarely go to the banks. All their transactions get done simply by the
stroke of a finger. Businesses face a challenge of adapting to changes in the technology sector. Mobile
banking either through actual investing or any other means is on the rise. According to the most recent
Federal Reserve study; most of us haven t set foot in a banking hall in ages. It is a lost battle to banks
that opt to use traditional methods to conduct their banking transactions (Gup 2003). By December of
last year, close to half of all smartphone users in the United States had transacted some or all of their
banking on their phones and iPhones. In the United Kingdom alone, rates of mobile banking
transactions doubled over the course of a single year (Scn Education 2001). A banking business that
invests in this type of technology gets assured of increasing their customer base. Continued

Bipolar Disorder 5 Results Finding the right medication or medications for you will likely take some

Generally only one medication is changed at a time so your doctor can identify which medications

Truman Capote s Meaning Of Truman Pary And The Duality Of...
Although Truman Capote recognizes the duality of Perry, he uses language complexities to demonize
Dick; therefore he argues people with mental health issues deserve help while those who choose their
behaviors deserve harsher punishments.
Amplification embellishes the artwork that Capote illustrates. In the beginning, he paints the picture of
Perry as naive and gentle, which contrasts with Dick who was heartless and arrogant. Later, a picture
of Dick s past as a teenager is elaborated: An outstanding athlete always on the first team at school.
Basketball! Baseball! Football! Dick was always the star player. A pretty good student, too, with A
marks in several subjects... After he graduated from high school June, 1949 he wanted to go on to
college (Capote 166). The amplification of Dick s high school career was above average and used to
describe his once successful life. This is a crucial passage to admire because Dick hadn t realized just
how fortunate he was as an adolescent and as he grew older he became dark and closed off as if a
switch flipped inside of him. Creating contrast to his emotions as the murder was leading up. The
behavior switch seemed almost inhuman as a straight A jock turned into a cold blooded murderer.

All there is to it is to graduate high school and receive a diploma. To be an architect there is more you
have to do than just receive a diploma unless it is for small sheds or barns. For houses usually require
two years of college. The longer time you spend in collage the better job you will find. With that you
will be making quite a bit more money. An average carpenter makes $40,500 per year (Carpenter
Course and Educationand Training Requierments, n.d.). An architect makes a lot more than that. They
make on average $73,340 per year; that was in 2011 (Building a careerin Architecture, n.d.). If added
together that is $113,840 per year. That is pretty good wages. The problem with that is an architect s
money is mostly from selling his designs that they make. So a carpentry engineer can make anywhere
from $44,000 a year to 99,000 per year (Building Engineer, 2015). Usually a typical day of a carpenter
consists of building the design. An architect it consist of making sure the building is safe. On a daily
bases architects discuss budget and requirements, draw plans, and make necessary changes (Building a
careerin Architecture, n.d.). The skills needed for both an architect and carpenter is good math skills
and also knowing how to work with fractions. An architect needs a least a college degree, the longer
you go to collage the better job you will find (Building a Career in Architecture). A carpenter needs to
have good coordination and balance for standing a roof or a ladder (Carpenter Job Description,

History of Golf
There is general agreement that the Scots were the earliest of golf addicts but who actually invented
the game is open to debate. We know that golf has existed for at least 500 years because James II of
Scotland, in an Act of Parliament dated March 6, 1457, had golf and football banned because these
sports were interfering too much with archery practice sorely needed by the loyal defenders of the
Scottish realm! It has been suggested that bored shepherds tending flocks of sheep near St. Andrews
became adept at hitting rounded stones into rabbits holes with their wooden crooks. And so a legend
that persists to this day was born!
Various forms of games resembling golf were played as early as the fourteenth century by sportsmen

In 1848, a golfing clergyman from St. Andrews, the Reverend Adam Paterson, experimented with a
substance from India called gutta percha. It had been sent to him as padding covering a gift and he
found that the material could be softened with heat and then molded into a hard ball. The gutty as it
was known was not an instant success as the smooth ball tended to duck in flight. Players soon found
that its performance improved at the end of a round when the ball received some nicks and scratches.
Therefore, newly molded balls were scored all over with a saddler s hammer with such good playing
results that the demise of the feathery was certain.
The gutta percha ball lasted for approximately 55 years until succeeded by the Haskell ball in 1903.
An American dentist, Dr. Coburn Haskell, ran some experiments by tightly wrapping a liquid filled
rubber core with strips of elastic then covering it with a gutta percha casing. North American golfers
began to take the new ball seriously when Walter Travis, originally from Australia, won the 1901
United States Amateur Championship using the Haskell ball. When Alex Herd won the 1902 British
Open Championship again using the Haskell ball, golfers everywhere dropped the gutty and
clamoured for the Haskell!
Modern balls have a more durable cover of balata or surlyn and various solid core balls with new
synthetics have become popular. As well, we have seen the art of club making go from the original
wooden clubs, to forged irons,

School uniform persuasive essay
School Uniforms: Agree or not?
Uniforms are globally used at schools around the world, especially schools in Asia. In Asia, the policy
of wearing uniform enforces strongly during school hours and whenever at schools. The policy is
enforced because schools want to teach discipline to their students and prevent unanticipated troubles
at school. The policy of school uniforms is not completely implemented in the United States,
especially public schools. According to the US Department of Education, only about 23 percent
private and public schools in the United States have a uniform policy (School Uniform Statistics 1). In
Asia, almost all of public and private schools strictly enforce the policy. In my country, Indonesia, all

Those punishments make Kaylee know what it felt, and apologized for what she had done before. Ally
is a responsible mother because she took punishments to tell her children about insulting, and prevent

Enforcing the policy of school uniforms is a controversial debate between people. Some parents
disagree because school uniforms are costly for some people. They think that they have to buy two
types of outfits, school uniforms and daily outfits. One parent Josias Jere said uniforms were too
expensive for an average parent who had many children to look after and send to school (Sikapizye 1).
The United States is a country that honors the freedom of speech. Some parents think that their
children s freedom of speech will be constrained by the policy of wearing school uniforms. Many
students who are against school uniforms argue that they lose their self identity when they lose their
right to express themselves through fashion (Kouzmie 1). Students also think that school uniforms will
limit their expression and creativity.
Wearing school uniforms to school is more economical than you have to buy outfits to school. In a
week, students need 5 different outfits to go to school because they usually do not want to use same
outfits in a week. If students use school uniforms, they will only need 2 or 3 uniforms a week because
they do not have to use

Evaluation of Sources 302 The Kissinger Transcripts, edited by a senior analyst, provides insight into
the top secret talks of Henry Kissinger with Beijing and Moscow through declassified transcripts. The
origin of this source is the National Security Archive, along with expert commentary written by
William Burr, who received his Ph.D. in history. The purpose of the book is to help others understand
the diplomacy of Henry Kissinger, who is considered to be one of the most influential figures of the
Cold War era. Because these transcripts were formerly classified, they offer insights and new pieces of
information that has not been seen by the public. It is valuable in that it offers both sides of the

limitation of the document lies in the analysis portions of the book, due to the bias that William Burr
may have held in editing the transcripts, perhaps editing out portions that could have put Henry
Kissinger in a bad light. The Price of Power: Kissinger in the Nixon White House is a secondary

The Prince And Niccolo Machiavelli
The makeup of a functioning society is one that lies in the grey area of human existence. Not every
aspect of human nature is ready to be sorted into one or the other. Which is why when examining
society, it is important to have both a realistic as well as an idealistic view. Philosophers Niccolò
Machiavelli and Socrates lived in a time of uncertainty, political fragmentation, and violence and their
attitude on how to deal with such issues were contrasting. Machiavelli chooses to focus on creating a
political power that is long lasting while Socrates chooses to investigate more into the unknown and
promote transparency by challenging the authority that is already in power. As indicated by the works
The Apology and Crito, Socrates has an idealistic approach towards ethics and politics. On the
opposite hand, in the work The Prince, philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli advocates a realistic point of
view in creating a political power that is strong and long lasting. Socrates would not be supportive of
Machiavelli s The Prince as it advocates for everything that Socrates identifies as unstable
characteristics for a government. In short, the political system of which Machiavelli is advocating for
is the sole one that Socrates is trying to dismantle.

Gulliver: The Mock Hero Throughout Gulliver s Travels by Jonathon Swift, Gulliver continually
proves how he is playing the role of a mock hero. As many of the classic heroes hold traits such as
bravery, intelligence, and leadership, Gulliver s character pokes fun at that classic idea. Many epics
consist of great heroes going on treacherous journeys where they come across man eating beasts or
other large feats, where as in Gulliver s Travels, he goes on a journey where he doesn t have to
overcome any great obstacles or fight for his survival. The satirical nature of the story begins right at

Gulliver encounters are rather gentle and nice creatures; the total opposite of the giant creatures

in this satirical piece.
On Gulliver s return home his total mindset of his home life have changed from when he had
previously left. Its not that his physical home or people in his life have changed, but rather a personal
change that he went through while on his final journey that landed him with the Houyhnmhnms.
Gulliver changed, and he looked at how uncivilized life was, but in reality everything was the same as
it always had been. When comparing this to the return home of a hero like Odysseus, personally
Odysseus was the same person and everything around him had changed. Odysseus was surprised to
see what his kingdom had become due to physical changes that surrounded him. Gulliver was
seemingly making a big deal of something that he had lived with for decades. When comparing it to
the drastic changes that Odysseus faced the satirical style of the mock heroic story truly makes itself

Is Beauty In The Eye Of The Beholder
Imagine you are walking through the woods on a sunny fall day, during this walk there are many
things that might bring you pleasure. Along the way you might hear a bird singing, feel a rock as you
hike a path, taste cold water to replenish your thirst, and see many beautiful sights. The person you are
walking with may have a total different experience and sense things that bring pleasure to them that
may not to you. There is an old adage that says Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This adage can be
debated time and time again. The first things to look at is the definitions of beauty and beholder. The
dictionary defines beauty is a combination of qualities that pleases the aesthetic senses ( Beauty ). It
doesn t say beauty has to be seen by the eye. Beauty can be combination of our five senses. It can be
anything we can see, touch, taste, feel, or smell. The definition of beholder is a person who observes a
sense. The adage Beauty is in the eye of the beholder by definition means that each person sees beauty
and can find beauty in different things through their senses ( Beholder ). It creates a very subjective
approach to beauty. The adage is true because each person is an individual and has different
perspectives and way of sensing. The idea that what pleases one person may not please another is true
along this case because not everybody has the same preference to beauty. Beauty is subjective and can
be seen through personal experience and should give society a

The Treatment Of Drug Store Advantage Administrators
Most wellbeing arrangements give some physician endorsed medication advantages. Drug scope is

wellbeing protection because of the Moderate Consideration Act.
Americans filled an expected 3.8 billion retail solutions in 2011 around 12 for each individual in the
United States, by and large. Sixty percent of all Americans take a doctor prescribed medication in any
given year, and almost all seniors do. Drug treatment is ostensibly the most proficient technique to
treat most sicknesses regularly substituting for more extravagant healing center and surgical
medicines. Contrasted with different treatments, medications are a relative deal yet they can be lavish.
Endeavors to rein in the runaway expense of human services must concentrate on fitting, yet
productively controlled, utilization of professionally prescribed medications.
Specific firms called drug store advantage administrators (PBMs) help arrangement patrons outline
and oversee medication advantages, including which medications are secured and which drug stores
partake in the medication arrangement. Despite how a project is organized, enrollees at first buy the
majority of their medications at nearby drug stores, which are repaid for the expense by the
medication arranges.
As medication scope has turned out to be more broad, so too have calls to force extra regulations on
medication arrangements and the organizations

Romeo And Juliet Act 2 Scene 2
William Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet has been adapted into several films, but the film that
properly demonstrates the mood of Act 2, scene 2 is Baz Luhrmann s 1996 version. One of the
elements used by the director to convey the mood is setting. In scene 2, Romeo and Juliet are not on
balcony like in the original play, but instead in a courtyard. Later on, the couple falls into the pool
where most of the scene occurs. Although they have some intimate moments, Romeo and Juliet are
seen splashing water on each other and laughing. As a result, this evokes a playful mood because they
are having fun together. Another choice the director made is language. Despite including quotes
straight from the original text, there are many instances where the

The Media Has a Grasp on Younger Generations
Media can influence every home in America. Not only is it capable of influence through television,
but it can influence through magazines, newspapers, word of mouth, even clothing! The qualities of a

as being influenced, but men are in the bunch as well, although less published. Children are being
brought into the influence as well at younger ages each generation. With more media influence in
families, we can expect more social problems. Many people might think they aren t influenced by the

This influences a man s opinion on his body. Men are built differently depending on their genetics,
and the image most men try to obtain is unattainable due to those genetics. With genetics in play men
won t be able to obtain the wanted image making their self esteem lower than a man who can.
Children are also influenced by the media, but their surrounding increase to impact. Children learn by
observing, and repeating. By watching family remember or other children, they will repeat what is
seen acceptable by the peer or parent. Children want to fit in and want to make their parents proud. In
Jill Conway s anthology Margaretw Mead writes This sense of satisfying one s parents probably has a
great deal to do with one s capacity to accept oneself as a kind of person (303). If parents are reacting
to how the media is trying to conform society, they are unaware of the impact they are sending tho
their children. It can also be seen in other peers at school. Children are basically shunned if they do
not have the latest clothing or look a certain way. As I went out on my own to put my thesis to the test,
I distributed my surveys at various social places. Those places included parks, shopping centers, and
Starbucks cafes. While adding people I knew (10 of them) I asked them through Facebook. I

El Nino Effects On Coastal Environments
El Niño refers to the large scale climatic relationship between the ocean and atmosphere, linked to a
sporadic warming in sea temperatures across the central and east central Equatorial Pacific, (What are
El Nino and La Nina, 2016). Effects of the El Nino typically develop over North America before the
winter months, and include warmer than average temperatures over western and central Canada and
The United States. The force of El Niño can significantly influence weather patters, marine conditions,
and a large proportion of coastal environments, (What are El Nino and La Nina, 2016). Relatively new
information considering impacts of El Niño due to warming temperatures has introduced new ideas
that El Niño has a direct effect on coastal landforms in the state of California, (earth a dynamic
structure, 2003). Scholars argue that the presence and strengthening of the El Niño have detrimental
impacts on coastal environments in California, (earth a dynamic structure, 2003; Sanders, 2016).
These impacts include cliff erosion and the collapsing of cliffs, bigger waves eroding away beaches
and the coast, landslides, and sea level rise, (Richmond Gibbs, 1998). Coastal Erosion is a result of
many physical processes occurring on earth, El Niño is just one of the processes that significantly
destroy coastal landforms, but climate change plays a major role in increasing the likelihood of coastal
erosion due to El Niño. Research done in previous studies identify many different

  • 2. english quotation essay Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change yourself and the world. There is a reason why every civilization throughout time has valued education, because it truly can alter our collective condition and make our lives easier, simpler, and most crucially, happier! From Egyptians learning to write on papyrus tablets to late nineteenth century scientists striving to discover medicines like penicillin, there has always been an urge in humanity to be better and to be more than what we have been before. Man s highest achievements the building of bridges and overwhelming skyscrapers, to video chatting and space travel the marvels of modern day living that we take for granted today, were once just mere ideas in people s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The strength and force of education is visible to anyone who cares to look at the recent Egyptian revolution, where young students, with minds opened to the wonders of democracy, through education, helped overthrow the yoke of suffering that their parents had silently borne. Education is the silent and effective weapon of nonviolence, which can help people and societies break the cycle of oppression that many have historically suffered from. Many oppressed societies, where dictators have thrived, have had a paucity of education avenues. Education liberates the mind from its shackles and fears and encourages it to challenge and to communicate with others. It is not without a reason that education is at the bottom of the priority list of dictators. It was also not without reason that upon annexation of neighboring states. Many dictators find it easy to unscrupulously deny people education or better still, manipulate education to serve their own selfish interests. Throughout history, and even today, autocratic leaders censor literature and books and prevent potent ideas from spreading since they realize that an idea is the most powerful force in the world and can transform a human being completely. More importantly though, to me, an educated person also has the capability to objectively analyze issues, recognize and learn from existing flaws, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Analysis Of The Topeka Public Library Through the years 2000 and 2005, the Topeka Public Library had a staff member named Melissa Robertson. She worked downstairs mostly, where her cubicle was filled with pictures of her and her daughter in various parks, laughing about various memories. There always seemed to be an empty tupperware pan, too. This pan had held the cinnamon rolls she brought for everyone every Friday, they were gone within minutes. The secret ingredient was instant mashed potato mix to make them fluffy, a fact that always confused her daughter. Melissa also volunteered at the local toy store, reading stories for all the children visiting the store. As soon as the announcement was made over the intercom, their eyes lit up and they stumbled up the stairs in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When she smiled, everyone else did too; rooms lit up with pure joy in her presence. One of the few people lucky enough to spend the majority of their life with Melissa was Kay Kuhlman, they became friends when they were toddlers and maintained that friendship into adulthood. When they were in grade school, Kay s house caught fire, causing her to lose not only her home, but many of her possessions too. Melissa was there, offering help in any way she could. When the incident repeated in high school, she provided material and emotional help again. At just 17 years old, Kay learned she was pregnant, and Melissa was one of the first people she told even though she was terrified of losing her best friend. She never said anything negative towards her, and instead assured her she had always been her friend, and she would be there for her through that as well. A few years later, Melissa gave birth to her own kid and their children quickly became friends; Melissa loved both children so wholly she wrote to the local newspaper about them and got an article published, which is still in Kay s house to this day. Many people looked up to Melissa, wanted to learn how to be so compassionate and cared for. It was a lesson that is not easily taught, but she did so beautifully. She cared about people with all of her heart, in the way some people only care about their family members. She always helped in any way she could, and excelled at pep talks. In her book Why 28 Stephanie Noland tries to make the population aware of the problem stating, He dealt the country s vibrant economy a first harsh blow, making a massive payment to men who claimed to be veterans of the fight for independence... of Zimbabwe s dictator Mugabe (Noland 299). This shows that as a ruler he was not concerned in using money to heal his country. His love of power is tearing his country apart, causing his population to dwindle, and driving his economy into the ground. Mugabe Sent troops to demolish houses on the slums were he believed people had voted against him, writes Stephanie (Noland 300). This is essential because it shows the lengths he was willing to go to to stay the head of the country. He was willing to further decimate his population, just to make sure there was never a rebellion. All this oppression, abuse of power, and neglect can not go on for long without the people rising up and fighting back. This is how civil wars are created. ... As portrayed by Nadine in her book the ultimate safari when she writes our government calls them bandits. This shows how people attack homes just because they think something is wrong there. Clawson argues that it is by paying attention to the human side of individuals people s Values, Attitudes, Beliefs and Expectations (VABEs) which together shape behaviour that gives leaders insights into people s motivations. Sexism As A Scientist Or Engineer In the long history of sexism in science, technology, engineer and mathematics (STEM), women have been discrimination of being unfit or not apprehensiveness enough for being a scientist or engineer by men who have high doubtful on women or mocking women working as an engineer that they would destroy something. Determining or judging the action of the gender in different position and the thinking of discrimination from the superior race or gender to the lesser is what it called sexism. Sexism is most common in science and engineer especially women is the most affected. In my desired job position in the world of Biotechnology, I have an inferior knowledge in my brain about women in the lab. In the past of my experiences with my brother, I went to visit his college called California State University, Fresno or Fresno State for short. I used my experience in this essay because it is related to my job position and the case that I will explain henceforth in this essay. I entered Fresno State to explore several buildings on campus. The first building I went into is College of Science and Mathematics. As you see, I love to learn about microorganisms, so I went to see the lab. As I peeked in the lab, I noticed something that seems not right. I don t see any women in the lab, just men. I asked someone in the lab why is there no women in the lab. In the movie the Patriot, this movie portrays the fight during the revolutionary war and the battles and the horror they faced. The battlegrounds used in the war were a person s backyard. This new idea of guerilla warfare brought to the war was unconventional and efficient. There were small militias taking out countless redcoats. Although it wasn t the traditional form of fighting it worked. In the movie, the militia was led by Benjamin Martin. General Martin and his militias tactics were honorable. The colonist were English natives so their tactics were the same as the British army. The Continental Regulars would line up like the British and mimic almost everything they would do. The British are more trained and accurate so they would win every battle. The colonists were going to lose the war if it wasn t for Benjamin Martin. • 11. Beowulf, The Great Warrior In the first speech, (pages 42 43; lines 260 285) Beowulf has just arrived on the beach of the Danes, King Hrothgar s territory. An unnamed coastguard is obviously intimidated by the proportion, design, and occupants of Beowulf s craft, yet he stops the warrior to ask his business and inquire after his heritage. Thus, the hero of Beowulf, the great warrior himself, introduces himself to the coastguard and in doing so, to the readers (or oral audiences of the time). Beowulf mentions his famous relatives, including that they are, King Hygelac s hearth companions and his, noble father was known as Edgetheow, a front fighter famous among nations... It had been sent to him as padding covering a gift and he found that the material could be softened with heat and then molded into a hard ball. The gutty as it was known was not an instant success as the smooth ball tended to duck in flight. Players soon found that its performance improved at the end of a round when the ball received some nicks and scratches. Therefore, newly molded balls were scored all over with a saddler s hammer with such good playing results that the demise of the feathery was certain. The gutta percha ball lasted for approximately 55 years until succeeded by the Haskell ball in 1903. An American dentist, Dr. Coburn Haskell, ran some experiments by tightly wrapping a liquid filled rubber core with strips of elastic then covering it with a gutta percha casing. Not every aspect of human nature is ready to be sorted into one or the other. Which is why when examining society, it is important to have both a realistic as well as an idealistic view. Philosophers Niccolò Machiavelli and Socrates lived in a time of uncertainty, political fragmentation, and violence and their attitude on how to deal with such issues were contrasting. Machiavelli chooses to focus on creating a political power that is long lasting while Socrates chooses to investigate more into the unknown and promote transparency by challenging the authority that is already in power. As indicated by the works The Apology and Crito, Socrates has an idealistic approach towards ethics and politics. On the opposite hand, in the work The Prince, philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli advocates a realistic point of view in creating a political power that is strong and long lasting.
