Home Automation
 The primary objective of this project is to develop a home
automation system with Android application controlled remote
as well as web servers.
 Remote Controlled Home Automation System provides a simpler
solution with Android application technology.
 Remote operation is achieved by any smart-phone or Tablet with
Android OS, upon a GUI (Graphical User Interface) based touch
screen operation.
2. Internet of Things refers to the concept that the
Internet is no longer just a global network for people to
communicate with one another using computers, but it is
also a platform for devices to communicate electronically
with the world around them.”
--Center for Data and Innovation
1. The Internet of Things, also called The Internet of
Objects, refers to a wireless network between objects,
usually the network will be wireless and self-configuring,
such as household appliances.
 Internet of objects
 Machine-to-Machine Era
 Internet Of Everything
“Things having identities and virtual personalities operating in
smart spaces using intelligent interfaces to connect and
communicate within social, environmental, and user
contexts”.
-------IoT in year 2020
 Home Automation is the controlling and operating of the
home appliances such as lighting equipment, kitchen
appliances, air conditioning and heating, audio/video
Systems in either automatic or manual modes
conveniently and efficiently.
 Home control systems where different sensors
corresponding to the home appliances with the
appropriate actuators are hard-wired to input/output
modules of a central controller.
 For the user interface, this automation is integrated with different
interfacing modules computer/laptops, smart phones, touch pads,
a tablet with a user-friendly HMI application.
Home automation is the use of one or more computers to control basic
home functions and features automatically and sometimes remotely.
MAIN
OBJECTIVE
 Objective of this project is to control our
home appliance from remote area.
There are many home wireless based
devices for controlling processes, but
they are more expensive.
 Till now A particular device was controlled but
in this project the controlling factor will be on
the switches of all type of devices, So all
switchable devices will be operated from the
remote area.
Today, phone is an important part of our
life. So we thought of automating our
home using phones.
1.Office Automation
2. Smart control devices
 The switches of all devices will be
controlled by using a single android app.
 As in the project the controlling was
handled within the remote area, so further
extension to this project would be that
making it online by using a web server
Any command given by the application
will communicate with the web server
which further communicates with the
micro-controller.
The relay based Circuit that turns on or
off depending on the input given .

1.Home Automation is undeniably a resource which can make a
home environment automated.
2.People can control their electrical devices via these Home
automation devices and set up the controlling actions in the
computer.
3.We think this product have high potential for marketing in the
future.
4.At the moment the components are a bit to high to be able to
produce these devices for a interesting price.
