Exodus And Deuteronomy
Reading about Moses in Exodus and Deuteronomy I realized that Moses was the central character of
the Old Testament and was the main character of the early books of the bible. In the bible he was God
s Chosen one as God chose him to be his specific messenger and/or mediator to carry out certain tasks
ordered by God. My paper will mainly focus on Moses in regards to his behaviors throughout Exodus
and Deuteronomy and the challenges he has faced. I will focus and reflect on his interactions and
personal relationship with God and others throughout the bible. Moses was chosen by God for many
reasons, one reason including that he was very trustworthy not only to God but to his people. He
fought long and hard to obey God and teach the people of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To see the relationship he had with God inspires many to find that same relationship with God in
today s society. The story of Moses is still important and looked upon today because of how much
hope, love, and even justice it demonstrated. Moses and God worked solely together and with that
there was hope, which helped them never give up especially when they tried to free the Israelites from
Pharaoh. After reading about Moses and Deuteronomy in many ways it brought back my faith. It
showed me how important it is to keep my faith and do not lose hope despite all the challenges we
face and it seems easier to just give up. I know that with my faith I can get through it all, I look at
what Moses had to endure and it is nothing compared to what I have faced or gone through. In regards
to the Ten Commandments, we still value them in our lives today. We may not value them the way
they did back in Moses time, but for me I look at them in a way that helps me make certain decisions
in life. In today s society we have used the story of Exodus for many reasons throughout history; it is a
story of freedom as the story of Moses show how difficult to gain back their freedom. We have learned
many lessons from Moses as he was the greatest spiritual leader. We will continue to look upon his
story to help us through certain aspect our

Music Is An Identifying Characteristic Of Film And Television
Music is an identifying characteristic of film and television; everyone who has been exposed to
popular culture knows the theme for Star Wars and The Simpsons, even if they have never seen the
movie or show. Disney movies are no exception, and this is largely due to the genius creative mind of
Alan Menken. Menken is best known for composing the scores for some of the most beloved Disney
classics, including Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Hercules, Pocahontas, and
Tangled. He also made his mark composing for highly acclaimed Broadway musicals, including Little
Shop of Horrors and Newsies, as well as the stage adaptations of some of his Disney hits. The familiar
songs composed by Menken are permanently ingrained in our minds and are largely responsible for
the success of the films and theatrical works he was associated with. Alan Menken was born on July
22nd, 1949 in New York City. He grew up in New Rochelle, New York with his sisters, Faye and
Leah. Menken s family was heavily involved in the performing arts, setting the stage for his career at a
young age. His mother, Judy Menken, was an aspiring actress and playwright; his father, Norman
Menken was a dentist but played boogie woogie and show tunes on the piano as a hobby. Alan
Menken aspired to be a composer from a young age, but the men in his family typically became
dentists and he felt that he was expected to continue this tradition. However, he did learn to play the
piano, violin, and guitar as he

Brick Wall Reflection
My father was always sharing with me, his stored words of wisdom as a kid growing up. One in
particular that I heard many times over, was, this world is made up of all kinds of people from all
walks of life.
You just never know what people are going through in their life s and do not deserved to be judged by
anybody and by all means not to be judged by you. He followed up with the usual question, do you
understand me? And from time to time, he would challenge me to make sure I did.
He stressed for me to take ownership of your own responsibilities and treat everyone with the same
respect, that you want in return. Do not turn your head, do not look down and never be disrespectful to
anyone in passing.
Always be the first to extend your hand with a simple gesture, because you never know, you might
need that same hand to help you up.
This brick wall represents the variation of tone and color of each brick. No two bricks are truly the
same, but yet, very similar.
My father continued with; the human race is very much like this brick wall, different shapes, different
tones and colors, and from different places from all over the world.
While viewing this presentation, the focus was highlighting to compare similarities between the bricks
and the human races, attributes.
But here is the true story behind the brick wall:
It s the mortar between these bricks that give it, it s strength to with stand all weather conditions to last
for years.
As for the human race, this mortar

Purpose of the Lab: The purpose of the lab is to show the different types of living organisms. Also, to
show how Woese s system of classification, was used to organize information about many types of
organisms. So that you can define the organisms. This shows what the purpose is for the Systematics

The ancient domain and the oldest fossil is archaea.
A taxonomist studies an organisms characteristics, in order to put the organism in a certain group.
A systematist studies different kinds of organisms, and all the relationships it has to other organisms.
Yes, I would put homo sapiens in the Eukarya domain because homo sapiens have cells that contain a
nucleus. Eukarya defines organisms that have cells which contain a nucleus. Archaea are a group of
single celled prokaryotic, so they don t contain a nucleus. Archaea live in water especially salty
region, and also come from animal stomachs. Archaea are also different from bacteria. Eubacteria are
many different cells which belong to the group of prokaryotes. Eubacteria also have different types of
shapes such as spirals and spheres. Eukarya are organisms that have cells with nucleus. The examples
are protist, animal, fungi, and plants. Protista is part of eukarya that isn t fungus, plant, or animal.
Fungi are single and multi celled eukarya organisms that have cell walls, and they get nutrients by
cellular digestion. Plantae is from the domain

Baby Friendly Initiative
As well as being involved in the main care of the mother during her pregnancy midwives are also part
of and implement initiatives. One initiative is the baby friendly initiative .
Evidence based standards have been developed for maternity, neonatal, health visiting/ public health
nursing and children s centre services. Implementation of these standards will improve the care and
support that pregnant women, new mothers and their families receive to build a strong relationship
with, and feed and care for, their baby.
The baby friendly initiative aims to protect, promote and support breastfeeding and close, loving
parent infant relationships by working with public services to improve standards of care. It is the first
ever national intervention to have a positive effect on breastfeeding rates in the UK.
Research found that UK mothers delivering in Baby Friendly accredited hospitals are 10% more likely
to initiate breastfeeding than those who deliver in non accredited units. This means that those babies
are more likely to experience skin on skin contact than bottle fed babies, this skin on skin contact can
help the mother and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Studies also show that breastfeeding lowers a baby s risk of having asthma or allergies and also babies
who are breastfed exclusively for the first 6 months have fewer ear infection or respiratory illnesses.
This means that breastfeeding is naturally very good for the baby and so the increase in women
breastfeeding due to the Baby Friendly initiative means that there will be less frequent GP
consultations and fewer hospital admissions, this can contribute into cost saving millions for the NHS
and so means that the Baby Friendly initiative can cause a reduction of certain childhood

A Thousand Splendid Suns
In a nation brimming with discrimination, violence and fear, a multitudinous number of hearts will
become malevolent and unemotional. However, people will rebel. In the eye opening novel, A
Thousand Splendid Suns written by Khaled Hosseini, the country of Afghanistan is exposed to possess
cruel, treacherous and sexist law and people. The women are classified as something lower than
human, and men have the jurisdiction over the women. At the same time, the most horrible treatment
can bring out some of the best traits in victims, such as consideration, boldness, and protectiveness.
Although, living in an inconsiderate world, women can still carry aspiration and benevolence. Mariam

Some weeks, if the wallet was light, she took only a five afghani bill, or nothing at all, for the fear that
he would notice. When the wallet was plump, she helped herself to a ten or a twenty, once even
risking two twenties. She hid the money in a pouch she d sewn in the lining of her checkered winter
coat. (247) Laila s boldness is shown as she makes a courageous decision to steal from Rasheed,
risking his acrimony if he were to discover her theft. However, Laila is stealing for a very good cause,
which would benefit both herself, and Aziza. Similarly, Mariam exhibits her attribute of being bold as
well, when she strikes Rasheed with a shovel in order to save both Laila and herself: If she let him
walk now, how long before he fetched the key from his pocket and went for that gun of his upstairs in
the room where he d locked Zalmai? Had Miriam been certain that he would be satisfied with shooting
only her, that there would be a chance he would spare Laila, she might have dropped the shovel. But
in Rasheed s eyes she saw murder for them both. And so Mariam raised the shovel high, raised it as
high as she could, arching it so it touched the small of her back. She turned it so the sharp edge was
vertical, and, as she did, it occurred to her that this was the first time that she was deciding the course
of her own life. And, with that, Mariam brought down the shovel.

Epidemics In The Nineteenth Century
Trends come and go, but some can stay buried in history. Especially the ones we have in the list. We
found the worst trends that ever caught on, and compiled them into a fun little adventure for you. Don
t try to start any of the up again, because they are by far the worst trends that were ever started.
Number Ten: Fish Swallowing. If you thought selfies were bad, imagine being coerced into
swallowing a live goldfish. In the 1930 s, the trend of swallowing whole, live fish became such a fad
that it was even addressed by Time Magazine. This weird trend hit media hard, and lasted more than
thirty years. Though no one ever died from the dumb acts, almost all who partook got sick to their
stomach. Those poor fish!
Number Nine: The Polish Plait. In the nineteenth century, the Polish Plait was all the rage in
hairstyles. This odd hairdo combined oily, unwashed individual strands of hair and clumped them

Although we know it today as devastating illness, the act of dying from tuberculosis was once
romanticized. Due to the illness s star appearance in paintings, written works, and more artistic
depictions, people in the nineteenth century often desired the onset of the deadly disease. It was said to
be a beautiful death , regarding the time that it allowed its victims to come to terms with death and
settle their arrangements. Many young people enticed by this description sought it out, and the number
of fatalities from the disease jumped.Number Six: The Fire Challenge. More of a recent trend, the fire
challenge was onset by the soaring use of social media. Participants in this challenge would attempt to
set themselves on fire, seeking to find out who could withstand it the longest. Catching the event on
their phones, they would share the videos on social media with other participants. Many injuries arose
from the fire challenge, and we hope the fire has finally been put

Essay On Career Clusters
My career clusters was performing arts and I chose the career named, Music Director/Composer.
Directors lead orchestras, choirs, groups, and bands while composers make music or arrange other
piece in a variety of music styles. Directors ensure that the musicians play with one concert sound,
balancing the melody, tuning, rhythm, and dynamic. They give feedback to the musicians or section
leaders so that they can achieve the sound and style they want in the music. The work environment for
directors work in religious organizations, and schools with music programs. They also spend a lot of
time traveling around to and places. Composers work in offices, recording studios, or their own home.
Similar occupations of this career are actors, dancer and choreographers, high, middle, and elementary

The Decline Of The Plague
In 14th century Europe during its medieval period there was a pandemic that killed many people all
over Europe and Asia called the Black Death. This disease spread fast with the increasing trade
between all the people in Europe through its complex system of trade routes. At this time everybody
was unsure on where the plague came from. The plague was affecting both the packed urban areas and
the rural areas of Europe as well. Without knowledge of sanitation and medicine this spread rapidly
and many people were affected by the plague.
The period before the plague was very important to medieval Europe. It was times of prosper for the

Racial differences in social and economic outcomes all play a major role in the discrimination that we

Georgians classification of the New York boys as blacks. When Gus visited Warm Springs, he didn t

in contradiction, while in Georgia they too discriminated other black men, and women. Contreras

Case Study Of Hitachi, Ltd.
Hitachi, Ltd. follows the principle of Centralization as it is a Japanese firm and the Japanese are very
peculiar about the chain of commands or the levels of management that is to be followed in an
organization. But this is somehow changing because of the changing business dimensions all around
the world. So, as to remain in the market, it is required to respond and react accordingly to the market
and make some changes in the organization principles for easy global operations. Autonomy in
management basically means allowing a great deal of freedom to make choices in the workplace. A
manager who grants an employee autonomy generally outlines the goal of a project but allows the
employee to decide the best way to achieve that goal. So, in Hitachi, ltd. was less earlier but due to

Evolution Of Quilting
The event, I attended in the National Museum of African American History Culture was on the An
Evolution of Expression: Sundance Star Quilt at 20th October, 2016. It was an exhibition on Quilts; a
tradition that expresses global culture, diversity and gender. This was the most prized celebration and
American Indian quilts are special crafts in the national museum of the American Indian. Kendra
Greendeer described the patterns and how quilting was a part in the life of community for Lakota
woman. This is a most creative craft found in the world and famous among woman, though history of
quilting is not limited to some particular regions.
Joanne hyppolite and Elaine Nichols served as curators for African American quilters, argued the
evolution of quilting through a diversified styles, patterns and symbols. These stylized patterns are
depicting the blends of various traditions and cultures. We also enjoyed the Sundance star of grace
zimiga for the time of 1980 and that was depicting the rock reservation style of north and South
Dakota. The member who created the quilt was from a tribe of Lakota and the star quilt presented
there was termed as morning star by their communities. Other names for the same product are Lone

Family Across The Sea Essay
The black experience, as seen in the existence of the Gullah Geechie community in the Georgia
Lowcountry, stands as proof of the existence and preservation of Africanism in the New World.
Cultural artifacts of that preservation include an active and surviving language, as studied by Lorenzo
Dow Turner, the private use of basket names, the making and use of fanner baskets as objects of art
and function, a continuance of the knowledge and skills required for growing and harvesting rice, oral
transmission of that knowledge, and the use of rice and greens in both African and the Lowcountry
Gullah Geechie cuisines. The documentary, Family Across the Sea (1991), recognizes these
similarities as direct links to the significant impact of 18th century slave trade on African Americans,
with emphasis on its documented connection to the Lowcountry.
The filmic explanation that ... the story of this connection begins with the land; land which is strangely
similar on the coasts of both the southeastern United States and that of Sierra Leone, opens the logic

Connotations In The Road By Cormac Mccarthy
The Road, by Cormac McCarthy revolves around a dystopian world. Throughout the book there is
very little hope but enough for survival. McCarthy focuses the book around a father and son trying to
move west. McCarthy s writing style throughout the first section of the book shows how hopeless the
world is, by extinguishing character names, negative connotations, and almost all of society. In the
beginning the narrator introduces the characters with pronouns only, when he woke in the woods in
the dark and the cold of the night he d reach out to touch the child sleeping beside him (McCarthy 3).
Soon we find that he , the adult, to the child is papa . Throughout the section of the book there is no

The diction that goes along with mostly any word with connotations are positive while in all other
cases the negative phrases do not get connotated. When McCarthy talks about the father in the book
there is the lack of connotations, He hadnt kept a calendar for years . (4) When the man and the child
are speaking to each other in a neutral setting connotations are used, I m right here (5) . When the
father talks to the boy about anything he tries his best to stay positive but when the boy has a dream of
his mother he wants to die more than ever. The father abruptly attempted to stop the boy from talking
that way, Dont say it. It s a bad thing to say (47) The lack of connotations can refer to being very little
hope and the hope that they have should not be exhausted on every word but only on those that are
crucial to say to another person. This goes back to the use of short choppy sentences. Even between
the boy and the man the sentences are kept short but informational for the other. The characters within
the book do not speak much to each other in general either. The talk of death is constantly there
because the son will continue to bring it up and ask, Are we going to die? as often as he can when
something bad happens. The dream with his mother in it, made his want of death increase because he
wanted to see her one more time and to be a whole family again. He will only ask that question or
state that he wants to die. Both of which are short sentences that are constantly used throughout the
book

Summary Of The RevolutionaryAnd Sergei Eisenstein sStrike
What does it mean for something to be revolutionary? By definition, something revolutionary has to
be involving or causing a complete or dramatic change . But the line for where a dramatic change
starts and ends is often times hard to determine. The first films were shown to public audiences in the
late 1890 s by the French Lumière brothers. Yet the idea of a cinema as we now know it was only just
beginning to take shape during the first quarter of the 20th century. It is in this context that we are to
view Evgeny Bauer s The Revolutionary (1917) and Sergei Eisenstein s Strike (1925). Both of these
films utilize several interesting artistic choices and convey their stories well to the audience yet for in
order for a film to be truly revolutionary, it has to convey a bold message along with a unique
performance. While Bauer s film left me with a greater appreciation of early cinema as an art form I
think that Sergei Eisenstein s Strike is the truly revolutionary film.
While Bauer s The Revolutionary is a story about a revolutionary who after returning back from
Siberia to a democratic Russia is determined to fight FOR the new government, we see that Strike is
the riveting tale of how the death of a factory worker serves as the rallying call for the workers to
unite in a strike against the corrupt managers and government that oppresses them. In this regard we
see that Strike has a much more bold and riveting tale, there is also no happy ending in the film as

Why Is Physician Assisted Suicide Wrong
Physician assisted suicide (PAS) has been debated for many years now. Is physician assisted suicide
right or is it wrong? Many people have very different views about this issue. Some supporters feel that
people should have the moral right to choose freely what they will do with their lives as long as they
do not harm others. This right of free choice includes the right to end one s life when they choose.
While you have some supporters who oppose any measures of permitting physician assisted suicide
argue that physicians have a moral duty to preserve all life. To allow physicians to assist in destroying
someone s life violates the Hippocratic Oath to do no harm. Opponents of physician assisted suicide
also believe that better pain management ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The most powerful argument for physician assisted suicide is that it can relieve tremendous pain and
suffering of severely and terminally ill patients. Patients with advanced cancer or other diseases that
lead to a painful death that medical science is not yet able to treat effectively should be offered the
option of cutting short the pain that is inevitably tied to the end stages of their disease. Because of
their special expertise, physicians are best suited to assist a patient in ending their life in a peaceful
and pain free manner. As a society, failing to offer patients this choice shows a lack of compassion and
humanity. Along with saving terminally ill patients from pain, physician assisted suicide should be
legalized to allow patients with degenerative, progressive illnesses the option of choosing death before
it robs them of their mental and physical faculties. Diseases such as Lou Gehrig s disease, multiple
sclerosis, Huntington s disease and Alzheimer s disease lead to a slow, inevitable decline in function
that medical science has been unable to treat effectively. A person with one of these diseases may wish
to choose death as a way to preserve their dignity and in order to be remembered by their family and
friends as they wish to be remembered, rather than as a shell of their former selves. Former President
Ronald Reagan suffered from Alzheimer s disease. He was out of the public eye when he was in the
last stages of the disease. He was able to be remembered by the public as a strong and successful
leader, rather than as an Alzheimer s victim. Others should also have this right. After considering the
benefits to the patient of allowing physician assisted suicide, the benefits to the family and friends of

The Immigration And Customs Enforcement Essay
ICE stands for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, they deal with matters concerning border
control, customs, trade and immigration to insure public safety and homeland security. Their priorities
focus on preventing terrorism and the illegal movement of items, as well as people. Within ICE, there
are three subgroups that fall into specialized tasks for the agency, such as Homeland security
investigations (HSI) and the Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Although being a fairly
new agency there has been more than a few controversies on how ICE handles the illegal immigrants,
however, since 9/11 the U.S has been trying to find the most effective ways to stop terrorism. So, that
also means that not everyone would agree with the tactics that ICE used to solve the problem for those
specific cases.
The U.S has been known as the land of opportunities, so of course people from all over the world
would try to leave their countries that weren t thriving economically after World War I, this lead to
immigration into the US to rise significantly. Every year, the State Department issued a limited
number of visas; only those immigrants who had obtained them and could present valid visas were
permitted entry. Because of the limited number of visas, the number of illegal attempts into the
country began to occur. The Border Patrol was established when illegal aliens and entries started
becoming more frequent, the strict guidelines also causing deportation to go on as well.

Analysis Of Def Jam s Under Pressure
In today s society of music, majority of artist s albums tells their life story or a story from their
imagination. However, not many artists can share their background in the same emotional way as
Logic did with his debut album Under Pressure. Logic provides beautiful melodies and aggressive
tones throughout the album to give a relaxing, easy listen that will make you want to keep it on replay.
With his style of storytelling, a well executed flow of lyrics with rhymes, and amazing production
within the studio, Under Pressure will have music lovers wanting more from the talented hip hop
artist.

Although this was his first album, he had already known that he was like no other artist. In the song
Soul Food, he states I swear this music in my genes like denim / Lyricism seeping, I m like venom /
Yes, I know the flow hotter than Lucifer / Even though Heaven sent him. With each song that goes by,
people will hear more and more bars go by that will leave them unable to sing along to the song, but
still able to understand the words that he is saying. One of the most lyrically flowing rhyme schemes
in the album comes from the song Growing Pains III, where without a stutter, he swiftly asserts When
will I lose my anonymity and become one with the enemy? / Tell me would I be the enemy, feel like
nobody in front of me. The song that possibly shows the most potential of his lyrics and flow,
however, would have to be the song Under Pressure. In this nine and a half minute song, Logic tends
to change his speed constantly, but does it in a way that does not alter the dynamics of the beats. A line
from the second verse demonstrates that he knows the talent he obtains while stating rapidly, Yeah my
stress up, but I m blessed up / F*** around and get messed up / When I murder the rhyme, I m living
divine / You know that I m one of a kind. In addition to the lyrics of the songs, listeners will also hear
the production value behind them as

A Project Manager At Andres Construction Services
Mr. Cody Whittle is a project manager at Andres Construction Services, L.L.C. in Dallas, Texas. On
Wednesday, April 6, 2016, Mr. Whittle spoke to all sections of the Construction Project Planning
course to explain the purpose of scheduling in commercial construction. Andres Construction Services
is a family owned construction company which employs about one hundred employees. The company
focuses on negotiated work on multi family apartments, retirement communities, adaptive re use

The same is true for construction scheduling; the schedule, similar to a game plan, shows where you
are and where you are going. Mr. Whittle also compared scheduling to a set of dominos. In this
metaphor, each domino refers to an individual task in the schedule. Mr. Whittle explained that until the
tape and float domino falls, you cannot paint. Items in the schedule that are dependent on a previous
activity must fall in a sequential order in order for the schedule to be an effective tool. Mr. Whittle
also stressed the importance of breaking the schedule up into bite sized pieces. The smaller the pieces,
the more manageable a schedule is to maintain and communicate. To explain the importance of a
schedule in the process of constructing a building, Mr. Whittle showed us how he scheduled the Roth
Street Flats and the issues that came into play. The first schedule that was presented was the four week
look ahead schedule for the project. This was created at the front end of the project when very few
subcontractors on the site. Mr. Whittle explained to use that if you are going to have major delays, you
want them to be at the beginning of the project so that you have plenty of time to catch up and react to
the effects of the delay. The Roth Street Flats were originally scheduled to be an eighteen month
project, but a major delay caused the project team to lose one month. There was a tower crane on site,

Art Deco Movement In The 1920 s
The art deco movement began in the mid 1920 s. This style, originally described as a spin off from art
noveau, is not said to be a mix of many different influences. These influences are from forms of
eastern and western art, and can be found in many different areas of art such as; architecture, fashion,
photography and many more (Duncan, 2009). Art deco revolves around geometric patterns, full of
color and an elegant style, all part of an approach toward modernism in art. Examples of art deco in
architecture were the Chrysler Building because of its geometric shapes and the Easter Columbia
building for the same reason. (Mercincavage, 2017).

Wechsler Intelligence Scale For Children
Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC IV; Wechsler, 1949). This seminal intelligence scale
assesses a child s general intellectual ability across four domains, producing four corresponding index
scores: (1) the Verbal Comprehension Index (VCI), (2) the Visual Spatial Index (VSI), (3) the Working
Memory Index (WMI), and finally (4) the Processing Speed Index (PSI). The VCI measures verbal
concept formation, specifically assessing children s ability to listen to a question, draw upon learned
information from both formal and informal education, reason through an answer, and express their
thoughts aloud. An example item from this index is similarities, vocabulary, and comprehension. Next,
the VSI measures non verbal and fluid reasoning and assesses children s ability to examine a problem,
draw upon visual motor and visual spatial skills, organize their thoughts, create solutions, and then test
them. An example item from this index is solving a 3D puzzle. The WMI measures working memory
and assesses children s ability to memorize new information, hold it in short term memory,
concentrate, and manipulate that information to produce some result or reasoning processes; an
example item would be letter number sequencing. This measure is particularly important for higher
order thinking, learning, and achievement. Finally, the PSI measures the speed of information
processing and assesses children s abilities to focus attention and quickly scan, discriminate between,

The Disease Of Alzheimer s Disease
Alzheimer s Disease Alzheimer s disease is the 6th leading cause of death in America. It kills more
than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined. Alzheimer s accounts for 70 80% of dementia cases.
By the age of 65, 1 in 9 people are diagnosed and by the age of 85, 1 in 3 people will have the disease.
According to the Alzheimer Association, 5 million people in American have Alzheimer s. Alzheimer s
starts to form 20 years prior to being diagnosed. Learning about Alzheimer s can help families
understand how Alzheimer s is more than just memory loss, it is an incurable mental disease.
Dementia is an umbrella term used to describe a group of diseases that may cause the brain to fail. The
most common one is Alzheimer s followed closely behind by Parkinson s. Alzheimer s was discovered
in 1906 by Dr. Alois Alzheimer, who discovered changes in the brain of a woman who died of an
unusual mental. Her symptoms included memory loss, language problems, and unpredictable
behavior. Doctor s now look at brain scans to see abnormal changes in the brain. Doctors may ask
questions both to the patient and a family member of the patient, such as, over all health, past medical
problems, ability to carry out daily activities, and changes in behavior and personality. They also
might conduct tests of memory, problem solving, attention, counting, and language Figure 1: Left side

Cognitive Disorders
1. The four major categories of cognitive disorders are: delirium which is an alteration in
consciousness that manifest and progresses over a relatively short span of time where people have a
decreased cognizance of their surrounding environment; dementia is an on going atrophy of brain
function that is pronounced by damage of memory, bewilderment and inability to focus; amnesia
marked by an indicative loss of memory, against no loss of other cognitive functions that appear in
dementia; there is also an inclusion of other cognitive disorders not particularly specified that may
otherwise not be categorized properly on their own. A broad assortment of factors may lead to
cognitive disorders, that could also encompass other general medical conditions such as brain
infections or head injuries.
Cognitive disorders are normally assessed after physical and neurological inspection. Examples of
these tests would be imaging exams, blood screening, liver function tests and thyroid analysis.
Treatment options vary and depend on what kind of condition appears. Delirium for instance is
normally treated adequately through analysis of the underlying cause, the prognosis however, is not as
positive for patients suffering from dementia or amnesia. Common mental disorders such as
depression, affect cognitive functions, through the process of memory as well perception and problem
solving. As mentioned for the fourth category, other cognitive disorders make up this section.

Coyote By Gary Soto Analysis
Due to Indigenous people, Coyote has taken on a large number of adaptations. One of the most
common perspectives is Coyote as a trickster. As a trickster, Coyote is irresponsible, deceitful, and
often times causes trouble. Coyote also is composed of wit and intelligence. A combination of these
traits collectively portrays Coyote in a negative light. Even within the poems of Ortiz, evidence exists
of a trouble making Coyote. In this poem, Ortiz tells us about this myth in a lyrical form. He writes:
...you know, Coyote...he s the cause / of the trouble, the hard times / that things have... (157.) He
places blame of all trouble on Coyote in this particular line, but closer look at his style and writing
show Coyote as a valuable and positive character. Coyote and the stories about him have a unique
value. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However Coyote portrays the latter of the two. This poem shows Coyote being punished for looking
back and as a consequence loses everything he has. Coyote serves as a lesson to children of what not
to do. The poem continues to explain that he was on his way to get married when he stumbled across a
gambling party where he loses everything, including his beautiful fur coat. Many lessons can be taken
from this story and passed down to children. Perhaps the moral of this story could be told to hinder
children from gambling. Another lesson could be to focus on the future, and learn from the past. The
importance of Coyote lies within his misbehaving. Without these lessons, children have no example of
what not to do. Coyote s mistakes do not make him bad, like some may think upon first glance, rather
they help children and future generations fully understand consequences. Ortiz endeavors to show
readers the helpfulness of Coyote as opposed to just being the cause of all

landscape between Palladio s Villa Barbaro at Maser, and the Stowe house and Garden in
Buckinghamshire, England. The essay will examine each house and their relation to their surrounding
landscape, looking at how appropriation, and adoption of ideas changes this relationship, and the
impact of changing values and attitudes on this. SLIDE 2: The specific question which I will be

Even though ideas were appropriated/ emulated/ copied they have different results in the connection
they have with their respective landscape. SLIDE 5: IMMEDIATE CONTEXT Palladio The essay will
examine the immediate context of the Villa Barbaro and explore it s paradoxical relationship with the
landscape. Analysis of the building will show that while it appears to be an open villa expanding onto
the landscape there is a complexity of a more reserved nature than is initially perceived. While
immediate interpretation see s the villa as opening onto the landscape in a very open way, the
interpretation offered by Peter Eisenman suggests a subtler layering of spaces which in the after
reading makes the building appear more closed off and reserved. Whereby he contrasts this notion of
openness suggesting that the relationship of the garden is defined by Barchesses. Whereas Wittkower
suggests a more public front, whereby The whole façade may be transformed into a temple front as
was done at the villa Maser. Clearly there is a tension between the public and private nature of the
villa, further emphases by the main stairs and entrances being divorced from the front façade.
(Kubelik) SLIDE 6: Stowe House The Stowe house essentially adopts a Palladian Plan similar to that
of the Villa Barbaro. The essay will look at how in this appropriation of ideas the connection

HIPAA Security
HIPAA Security Rule The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) is a national act
that was signed into law by President Bill Clinton. The Act was meant to establish standards that are to
be applied nationally in dealing with the medical records and also other personal health care
information by all the stakeholders. The rule calls for proper care in disseminating medical health
information and sets minimum requirements that must be adhered to before the documents can be

In most cases, the need for modifications arises from the change in the health status of a customer. The
insurance companies in most cases are responsible for making the payment. The construction
company needs to assess the health condition of the patient through the medical records. This will help
them to come up with an ideal design that will fit the clients needs. The documents are availed either
by the insurance company or by the families. In the transition period, the company is required to
receive, store and process protected health information (PHI). In such situations, the company is thus
required to comply with the HIPAA (American Health Information Management Association, 2004). A
point to note is that the rule requires the authorization of the patient for the information to be
disseminated through the telephones. Thus, the field agents must seek the patients consents while
transmitting the information from the field offices to the operation centers and as well to the
construction sites. Caution should be taken by all the relevant personnel so as to avoid incidences
where the information may land in the wrong hands. Sharing and disseminating the information

Comic Fiction And Humanistic Characters
For just under a century, comic books have given us an unparalleled medium in which we see our
favorite characters fight for good against evil. Comic historian, Bradford Wright wrote about the
influence of comics saying, Emerging from the shifting interaction of politics, culture, audience tastes,
and the economics of publishing, comic books have helped frame a world view and define a sense of
self for the generations who have grown up with them (Wright, 2). However, while these same comics
are developing our moral compasses, how can we be assured that the superheroes in the comics in
which we read are completely just themselves, and honestly do they have to be to complete the task at
hand? Although morality tends to be a popular concept to address throughout comic story lines, there
is a paradoxical issue in branding our superheroes inherently good or evil which is all determined by
an ever changing perspective. To begin with, comic books play on the concept of perspective, both
within their artwork and the character s points of view in order to create complex story lines that draw
the reader in and allow them to connect with the somewhat humanistic characters. Immanuel Kant, a
well known philosopher, asserts that not only does our thoughts reflect our personal reality, but it is
our experiences that shape who we are and how we see the world. These experiences, whether good or
bad, create somewhat of a lens in which we view the world around us. Therefore, due to the

Lebron Runs The Show Case Study
LeBron Runs the Show and He Should
The hundreds of millions of dollars that LeBron James brings into the Cleveland Cavaliers
organization and the city of Cleveland each year justifies his influence on front office decisions.
LeBron James has been criticized this past week over the firing of Cleveland Cavaliers head coach,
David Blatt. Ever since Blatt was fired, LeBron has denied the allegations that he had any
involvement in the decision. It has been recently reported that a source close to Blatt says that it was
1,000 percent LeBron . This leads to questions about LeBron s power within the Cavaliers
organization. Who really runs the organization: LeBron or General Manager, David Griffin? I tend to
side with the argument that LeBron has a stronger voice in the Cavaliers decision making than some
people might think, but more importantly, I argue that LeBron should have that kind of power. LeBron
should run the show. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This summer, he signed a max contract of just under $47 million for two years, which averages out to
be about $23.5 million a year. If the NBA did not have a salary cap, I can assure you that he would be
making a lot more money with all of the revenue that he brings to the team.
Before LeBron James made his NBA debut in 2003, the average attendance for a Cav s game was
11,497 and the team was valued at $222 million. In 2010, just before LeBron made the decision to
leave the Cavs to join the Miami Heat, the team had an average attendance of 20,562 and the team was
valued at $476 million. From 2003 2010, the Cav s raised annual revenue from $72 million a year to
$160 million. This increase in revenue came from increase in postseason play, ticket sales,
merchandise, and more. It is astonishing that one player could double the attendance, revenue, and
team value, all in seven years.

Who Is Sir Isaac Newton
Sir Isaac Newton was a mathematician and an English scientist. He is considered to be one of the most
intelligent people of all time. He formulated the law of universal gravitation and wrote the laws of

Isaac Newton was born premature December 25, 1642 in Woolsthorpe, England. His birth was after
the death of his illiterate father and during a time of political unrest in England. Civil wars were
plaguing the area the Isaac Newton was from. When Isaac was three his mother remarried and left his

This led to the hypotheses that the force that pulled the apple was also responsible for keeping the
Moon in orbit around Earth. This was a unique idea of the era because most people believed in the
theory of the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle (384 322 B.C.), who had said that the heavenly
bodies obeyed different physical laws than objects on Earth. Newton suggested all bodies responded
to the same physical laws, no matter where they were. During his stay on the farm he also, conducted
optical experiments that aided his account of white lights and colors. In 1667 Newton became a fellow
of Trinity College at Cambridge University where his incredible knowledge was first recognized by
his mathematics professor, Isaac Barrow, when in 1669, after resigning from his former job to become
entirely committed to theology, recommended that Newton be his successor. Newton progressed to a

The Symbols Of Lucille Desiree Ball
What is an American icon? According to Webster s Dictionary, it is a person or thing that is idolized. It
is someone who, by mention of their name, will remind people of who they are and what they are
famous for. Synonyms include representation and symbol. When you hear the name Lucille Ball or I
Love Lucy you probably think of a skittish red head who had eccentric expressions and made America
laugh. Lucille Desiree Ball was, and still is, an American icon because of what she represented in all
four of her shows, how she changed the television and movie industry, and her fashion sense which
created a well known look for herself. Lucille Ball was born on August 6, 1911, in Jamestown, New
York, to Henry and Desiree Ball. She also had a younger brother, Fred, who was born four years later
in 1915. While Lucille s mother was still pregnant with Fred, her father was struck with typhoid fever
and passed away. After her father passed away, her mother eventually remarried to Ed Peterson. Ed,
not being a fan of children, decided that he and Desiree would move to Detroit without Lucille s kids.
Fred moved in with Desiree s parents, and Lucille moved in with Ed s parents. Lucille recalled her
new family being very poor and strict, saying that they didn t even have enough money for school
pencils. Ed s mother taught her needlework, which is how she ended up loving to crochet for the rest
of her life.
When Lucille was 11 years old, she reunited with her mom and Ed. At

  • 2. Exodus And Deuteronomy Reading about Moses in Exodus and Deuteronomy I realized that Moses was the central character of the Old Testament and was the main character of the early books of the bible. In the bible he was God s Chosen one as God chose him to be his specific messenger and/or mediator to carry out certain tasks ordered by God. My paper will mainly focus on Moses in regards to his behaviors throughout Exodus and Deuteronomy and the challenges he has faced. I will focus and reflect on his interactions and personal relationship with God and others throughout the bible. Moses was chosen by God for many reasons, one reason including that he was very trustworthy not only to God but to his people. He fought long and hard to obey God and teach the people of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To see the relationship he had with God inspires many to find that same relationship with God in today s society. The story of Moses is still important and looked upon today because of how much hope, love, and even justice it demonstrated. Moses and God worked solely together and with that there was hope, which helped them never give up especially when they tried to free the Israelites from Pharaoh. After reading about Moses and Deuteronomy in many ways it brought back my faith. It showed me how important it is to keep my faith and do not lose hope despite all the challenges we face and it seems easier to just give up. I know that with my faith I can get through it all, I look at what Moses had to endure and it is nothing compared to what I have faced or gone through. In regards to the Ten Commandments, we still value them in our lives today. We may not value them the way they did back in Moses time, but for me I look at them in a way that helps me make certain decisions in life. In today s society we have used the story of Exodus for many reasons throughout history; it is a story of freedom as the story of Moses show how difficult to gain back their freedom. We have learned many lessons from Moses as he was the greatest spiritual leader. We will continue to look upon his story to help us through certain aspect our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Music Is An Identifying Characteristic Of Film And Television Music is an identifying characteristic of film and television; everyone who has been exposed to popular culture knows the theme for Star Wars and The Simpsons, even if they have never seen the movie or show. Disney movies are no exception, and this is largely due to the genius creative mind of Alan Menken. Menken is best known for composing the scores for some of the most beloved Disney classics, including Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Hercules, Pocahontas, and Tangled. He also made his mark composing for highly acclaimed Broadway musicals, including Little Shop of Horrors and Newsies, as well as the stage adaptations of some of his Disney hits. The familiar songs composed by Menken are permanently ingrained in our minds and are largely responsible for the success of the films and theatrical works he was associated with. Alan Menken was born on July 22nd, 1949 in New York City. He grew up in New Rochelle, New York with his sisters, Faye and Leah. Menken s family was heavily involved in the performing arts, setting the stage for his career at a young age. His mother, Judy Menken, was an aspiring actress and playwright; his father, Norman Menken was a dentist but played boogie woogie and show tunes on the piano as a hobby. Alan Menken aspired to be a composer from a young age, but the men in his family typically became dentists and he felt that he was expected to continue this tradition. However, he did learn to play the piano, violin, and guitar as he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Brick Wall Reflection My father was always sharing with me, his stored words of wisdom as a kid growing up. One in particular that I heard many times over, was, this world is made up of all kinds of people from all walks of life. You just never know what people are going through in their life s and do not deserved to be judged by anybody and by all means not to be judged by you. He followed up with the usual question, do you understand me? And from time to time, he would challenge me to make sure I did. He stressed for me to take ownership of your own responsibilities and treat everyone with the same respect, that you want in return. Do not turn your head, do not look down and never be disrespectful to anyone in passing. Always be the first to extend your hand with a simple gesture, because you never know, you might need that same hand to help you up. This brick wall represents the variation of tone and color of each brick. No two bricks are truly the same, but yet, very similar. My father continued with; the human race is very much like this brick wall, different shapes, different tones and colors, and from different places from all over the world. While viewing this presentation, the focus was highlighting to compare similarities between the bricks and the human races, attributes. But here is the true story behind the brick wall: It s the mortar between these bricks that give it, it s strength to with stand all weather conditions to last for years. As for the human race, this mortar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. A systematist studies different kinds of organisms, and all the relationships it has to other organisms. Yes, I would put homo sapiens in the Eukarya domain because homo sapiens have cells that contain a nucleus. Eukarya defines organisms that have cells which contain a nucleus. Archaea are a group of single celled prokaryotic, so they don t contain a nucleus. Archaea live in water especially salty region, and also come from animal stomachs. Implementation of these standards will improve the care and support that pregnant women, new mothers and their families receive to build a strong relationship with, and feed and care for, their baby. In the eye opening novel, A Thousand Splendid Suns written by Khaled Hosseini, the country of Afghanistan is exposed to possess cruel, treacherous and sexist law and people. The women are classified as something lower than human, and men have the jurisdiction over the women. At the same time, the most horrible treatment can bring out some of the best traits in victims, such as consideration, boldness, and protectiveness. When the wallet was plump, she helped herself to a ten or a twenty, once even risking two twenties. She hid the money in a pouch she d sewn in the lining of her checkered winter coat. (247) Laila s boldness is shown as she makes a courageous decision to steal from Rasheed, risking his acrimony if he were to discover her theft. However, Laila is stealing for a very good cause, which would benefit both herself, and Aziza. Similarly, Mariam exhibits her attribute of being bold as well, when she strikes Rasheed with a shovel in order to save both Laila and herself: If she let him walk now, how long before he fetched the key from his pocket and went for that gun of his upstairs in the room where he d locked Zalmai? Had Miriam been certain that he would be satisfied with shooting only her, that there would be a chance he would spare Laila, she might have dropped the shovel. But in Rasheed s eyes she saw murder for them both. And so Mariam raised the shovel high, raised it as high as she could, arching it so it touched the small of her back. She turned it so the sharp edge was vertical, and, as she did, it occurred to her that this was the first time that she was deciding the course of her own life. Family Across The Sea Essay The black experience, as seen in the existence of the Gullah Geechie community in the Georgia Lowcountry, stands as proof of the existence and preservation of Africanism in the New World. Cultural artifacts of that preservation include an active and surviving language, as studied by Lorenzo Dow Turner, the private use of basket names, the making and use of fanner baskets as objects of art and function, a continuance of the knowledge and skills required for growing and harvesting rice, oral transmission of that knowledge, and the use of rice and greens in both African and the Lowcountry Gullah Geechie cuisines. • 19. Summary Of The RevolutionaryAnd Sergei Eisenstein sStrike What does it mean for something to be revolutionary? By definition, something revolutionary has to be involving or causing a complete or dramatic change . But the line for where a dramatic change starts and ends is often times hard to determine. The first films were shown to public audiences in the late 1890 s by the French Lumière brothers. Yet the idea of a cinema as we now know it was only just beginning to take shape during the first quarter of the 20th century. It is in this context that we are to view Evgeny Bauer s The Revolutionary (1917) and Sergei Eisenstein s Strike (1925). Both of these films utilize several interesting artistic choices and convey their stories well to the audience yet for in order for a film to be truly revolutionary, it has to convey a bold message along with a unique performance. While Bauer s film left me with a greater appreciation of early cinema as an art form I think that Sergei Eisenstein s Strike is the truly revolutionary film. While Bauer s The Revolutionary is a story about a revolutionary who after returning back from Siberia to a democratic Russia is determined to fight FOR the new government, we see that Strike is the riveting tale of how the death of a factory worker serves as the rallying call for the workers to unite in a strike against the corrupt managers and government that oppresses them. Many people have very different views about this issue. This right of free choice includes the right to end one s life when they choose. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The most powerful argument for physician assisted suicide is that it can relieve tremendous pain and suffering of severely and terminally ill patients. Patients with advanced cancer or other diseases that lead to a painful death that medical science is not yet able to treat effectively should be offered the option of cutting short the pain that is inevitably tied to the end stages of their disease. Because of their special expertise, physicians are best suited to assist a patient in ending their life in a peaceful and pain free manner. As a society, failing to offer patients this choice shows a lack of compassion and humanity. Along with saving terminally ill patients from pain, physician assisted suicide should be legalized to allow patients with degenerative, progressive illnesses the option of choosing death before it robs them of their mental and physical faculties. Diseases such as Lou Gehrig s disease, multiple sclerosis, Huntington s disease and Alzheimer s disease lead to a slow, inevitable decline in function that medical science has been unable to treat effectively. A person with one of these diseases may wish to choose death as a way to preserve their dignity and in order to be remembered by their family and friends as they wish to be remembered, rather than as a shell of their former selves. Former President Ronald Reagan suffered from Alzheimer s disease. He was out of the public eye when he was in the last stages of the disease. He was able to be remembered by the public as a strong and successful leader, rather than as an Alzheimer s victim. Others should also have this right. The Immigration And Customs Enforcement Essay ICE stands for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, they deal with matters concerning border control, customs, trade and immigration to insure public safety and homeland security. Their priorities focus on preventing terrorism and the illegal movement of items, as well as people. Within ICE, there are three subgroups that fall into specialized tasks for the agency, such as Homeland security investigations (HSI) and the Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Although being a fairly new agency there has been more than a few controversies on how ICE handles the illegal immigrants, however, since 9/11 the U.S has been trying to find the most effective ways to stop terrorism. So, that also means that not everyone would agree with the tactics that ICE used to solve the problem for those specific cases. The U.S has been known as the land of opportunities, so of course people from all over the world would try to leave their countries that weren t thriving economically after World War I, this lead to immigration into the US to rise significantly. Every year, the State Department issued a limited number of visas; only those immigrants who had obtained them and could present valid visas were permitted entry. Because of the limited number of visas, the number of illegal attempts into the country began to occur. The Border Patrol was established when illegal aliens and entries started becoming more frequent, the strict guidelines also causing deportation to go on as well. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

SLIDE 5: IMMEDIATE CONTEXT Palladio The essay will examine the immediate context of the Villa Barbaro and explore it s paradoxical relationship with the landscape. Analysis of the building will show that while it appears to be an open villa expanding onto the landscape there is a complexity of a more reserved nature than is initially perceived. While immediate interpretation see s the villa as opening onto the landscape in a very open way, the interpretation offered by Peter Eisenman suggests a subtler layering of spaces which in the after reading makes the building appear more closed off and reserved. Whereby he contrasts this notion of openness suggesting that the relationship of the garden is defined by Barchesses. Whereas Wittkower suggests a more public front, whereby The whole façade may be transformed into a temple front as was done at the villa Maser. Clearly there is a tension between the public and private nature of the villa, further emphases by the main stairs and entrances being divorced from the front façade. (Kubelik) SLIDE 6: Stowe House The Stowe house essentially adopts a Palladian Plan similar to that of the Villa Barbaro. The essay will look at how in this appropriation of ideas the connection ... • 32. HIPAA Security HIPAA Security Rule The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) is a national act that was signed into law by President Bill Clinton. The Act was meant to establish standards that are to be applied nationally in dealing with the medical records and also other personal health care information by all the stakeholders. The rule calls for proper care in disseminating medical health information and sets minimum requirements that must be adhered to before the documents can be transmitted. It also set the scope of information that can be distributed without prior authorization by the patient. This rule gives the patient power to access medical information and allow them even to make copies as per their needs. HIPAA facilitates health ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In most cases, the need for modifications arises from the change in the health status of a customer. The insurance companies in most cases are responsible for making the payment. The construction company needs to assess the health condition of the patient through the medical records. This will help them to come up with an ideal design that will fit the clients needs. The documents are availed either by the insurance company or by the families. In the transition period, the company is required to receive, store and process protected health information (PHI). In such situations, the company is thus required to comply with the HIPAA (American Health Information Management Association, 2004). A point to note is that the rule requires the authorization of the patient for the information to be disseminated through the telephones. Thus, the field agents must seek the patients consents while transmitting the information from the field offices to the operation centers and as well to the construction sites. Caution should be taken by all the relevant personnel so as to avoid incidences where the information may land in the wrong hands. Sharing and disseminating the information electronically should be approved by the patient (National Research Council, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Comic Fiction And Humanistic Characters For just under a century, comic books have given us an unparalleled medium in which we see our favorite characters fight for good against evil. Comic historian, Bradford Wright wrote about the influence of comics saying, Emerging from the shifting interaction of politics, culture, audience tastes, and the economics of publishing, comic books have helped frame a world view and define a sense of self for the generations who have grown up with them (Wright, 2). However, while these same comics are developing our moral compasses, how can we be assured that the superheroes in the comics in which we read are completely just themselves, and honestly do they have to be to complete the task at hand? Although morality tends to be a popular concept to address throughout comic story lines, there is a paradoxical issue in branding our superheroes inherently good or evil which is all determined by an ever changing perspective. To begin with, comic books play on the concept of perspective, both within their artwork and the character s points of view in order to create complex story lines that draw the reader in and allow them to connect with the somewhat humanistic characters. Immanuel Kant, a well known philosopher, asserts that not only does our thoughts reflect our personal reality, but it is our experiences that shape who we are and how we see the world. These experiences, whether good or bad, create somewhat of a lens in which we view the world around us. Therefore, due to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Lebron Runs The Show Case Study LeBron Runs the Show and He Should The hundreds of millions of dollars that LeBron James brings into the Cleveland Cavaliers organization and the city of Cleveland each year justifies his influence on front office decisions. LeBron James has been criticized this past week over the firing of Cleveland Cavaliers head coach, David Blatt. Ever since Blatt was fired, LeBron has denied the allegations that he had any involvement in the decision. It has been recently reported that a source close to Blatt says that it was 1,000 percent LeBron . This leads to questions about LeBron s power within the Cavaliers organization. Who really runs the organization: LeBron or General Manager, David Griffin? I tend to side with the argument that LeBron has a stronger voice in the Cavaliers decision making than some people might think, but more importantly, I argue that LeBron should have that kind of power. LeBron should run the show. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This summer, he signed a max contract of just under $47 million for two years, which averages out to be about $23.5 million a year. If the NBA did not have a salary cap, I can assure you that he would be making a lot more money with all of the revenue that he brings to the team. Before LeBron James made his NBA debut in 2003, the average attendance for a Cav s game was 11,497 and the team was valued at $222 million. In 2010, just before LeBron made the decision to leave the Cavs to join the Miami Heat, the team had an average attendance of 20,562 and the team was valued at $476 million. From 2003 2010, the Cav s raised annual revenue from $72 million a year to $160 million. This increase in revenue came from increase in postseason play, ticket sales, merchandise, and more. It is astonishing that one player could double the attendance, revenue, and team value, all in seven years. Data ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This led to the hypotheses that the force that pulled the apple was also responsible for keeping the Moon in orbit around Earth. This was a unique idea of the era because most people believed in the theory of the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle (384 322 B.C.), who had said that the heavenly bodies obeyed different physical laws than objects on Earth. Newton suggested all bodies responded to the same physical laws, no matter where they were. During his stay on the farm he also, conducted optical experiments that aided his account of white lights and colors. In 1667 Newton became a fellow of Trinity College at Cambridge University where his incredible knowledge was first recognized by his mathematics professor, Isaac Barrow, when in 1669, after resigning from his former job to become entirely committed to theology, recommended that Newton be his successor. • 36. The Symbols Of Lucille Desiree Ball What is an American icon? According to Webster s Dictionary, it is a person or thing that is idolized. It is someone who, by mention of their name, will remind people of who they are and what they are famous for. Synonyms include representation and symbol. When you hear the name Lucille Ball or I Love Lucy you probably think of a skittish red head who had eccentric expressions and made America laugh. Lucille Desiree Ball was, and still is, an American icon because of what she represented in all four of her shows, how she changed the television and movie industry, and her fashion sense which created a well known look for herself. Lucille Ball was born on August 6, 1911, in Jamestown, New York, to Henry and Desiree Ball. She also had a younger brother, Fred, who was born four years later in 1915. While Lucille s mother was still pregnant with Fred, her father was struck with typhoid fever and passed away. After her father passed away, her mother eventually remarried to Ed Peterson. Ed, not being a fan of children, decided that he and Desiree would move to Detroit without Lucille s kids. Fred moved in with Desiree s parents, and Lucille moved in with Ed s parents. Lucille recalled her new family being very poor and strict, saying that they didn t even have enough money for school pencils. Ed s mother taught her needlework, which is how she ended up loving to crochet for the rest of her life. When Lucille was 11 years old, she reunited with her mom and Ed. At ...
