involved. My first observation that I found was that gourmet Polish deli produced a YouTube video.
The deli is called Piast Meats and Provisions Inc. and is located in northern New Jersey. Piast Meats
and Provisions Inc. created a video titled Polish Culture and it took place at a Polish heritage festival
in Holmdel, New Jersey. The video asked individuals at the festival What do you like most about
Polish culture? Many individuals in the video stated that the enjoyed Polish food, music, people, and
the language. This video helped me to better understand what Polish Americans value from their
culture of origin. Also about the amount of pride they feel for the Polish customs and traditions.
Another observation I discovered was a PBS special from WGBY documentaries, The Polish
Americans. This documentary looks at the immigrant history of the Polish people and how the Polish
culture is represented or lost while living and adapting to American culture. They used vintage film

Physician assisted suicide (PAS) has fueled a lot of debate ever since it was first legalized in Oregon
in 1997. PAS is when a doctor prescribes a medication that the patient can use to end their life.
Washington legalized PAS in March of 2009, but only saw 255 individuals in 2012 who acquired the
medication necessary to end their life from their doctor, resulting in only 24 of those patients using the
prescription (McBride 45). It is debatable whether or not PAS should be seen as the equivalent to the
suicide that we have labeled as immoral and have tried to prevent while others also question whether
PAS is a reasonable solution to the suffering that terminally ill patients are inevitably being put
through. I believe PAS should not be legalized in any other state and should, therefore, become illegal
in the four states which now allow it and instead train their doctors to provide better palliative care for
their patients. To begin, individuals who agree with PAS support their argument by focusing on the
suffering that the patient would no longer have to go through. Supporters have called it the right to die

TNT s Good Ta Go diner started off as a small shack near the run down shell station deep in the heart
of Buena Vista. They only served to go orders and had a small client list for catering. After the first
three years of business the customers had come too really like the food. It was real homemade food
one of the few establishments that was able to create homemade food for a reasonable price. Nearly a
year ago, they decided to get a bigger place and not just take to go orders. They made the restaurant
feel like the customer was walking into their own home. For example, their plates are not the same.
Most restaurants have the same looking plates but not T N T. They also make an effort to get to know
all of their customers .
T N T was founded four years ago by Trina and Tracey (names they preferred to have used) whom

Gentrification has become a common phenomenon throughout many major cities in the United States
and it is impacting millions. Gentrification can be dated back to the urban renewal and slum clearance,
and post war reconstruction programs implemented during the 1950s and 1960s Schaffer and Smith
1986). Although the main idea of gentrification is to, from an economic standpoint, rebuild the city
and redevelop its urban core, some people are in fact negatively impacted. There seems to be a trend
on the groups of people effected. Many families are being displaced from their homes due to the fact
that the city is redeveloping the urban core and attracting many young, affluent people to live in areas
