New England Patriots Deflated Footballs
I do believe that the New England Patriots deflated footballs in the American Football Conference
championship game against the Indianapolis Colts. The game was held on January 18, 2015, at
Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. The National Football League requires footballs to be inflated
between 12.5 and 13.5 pounds per square inch of air (2016 NFL Rulebook). Before halftime the
Colts linebacker, D Qwell Jackson, intercepted a pass from the Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady.
Later, Jackson said the football appeared spongy, which describes the texture of an underinflated
ball (Deflategate Timeline). At halftime all twelve of the Patriots footballs were measured, and all
twelve were below the minimum pressure (Deflategate). After the game when the National Football
Leaguelaunched an investigation, they hired Ted Wells to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Before the report was published, the Patriots argued that the pressure gauges used to measure
the footballs were inaccurate; however, during the testing two different gauges were used, and
both were made by different companies (Deflategate). Also, the gauges were tested after the
game, and both were determined to be accurate (Deflategate). The Patriots also argued that the
pressure temperature law was the cause of the low pressure in the footballs (Deflategate). This
law, also known as Gay Lussac s law, stated that a decrease in temperature would cause a
decrease in pressure and vice versa (ChemTeam: Gas Law Gay Lussac s Law). The Patriots said
that according to this law when the footballs were brought outside in the cold air from the warm
locker room, where the balls were inflated, the decrease in temperature caused a decrease in
pressure (Deflategate). HeadSmart labs, a well trusted scientific consulting group, stated that after
accounting for all environmental factors present during the time of the game the pressure
temperature law could cause at most one and eight tenths pounds per square inch of air to be
expelled from the

The Strongest Man Upon the Earth Is He Who Stands Most...
According to Henrik Ibsen, The strongest man upon the earth is he who stands most alone. In
other words, what this quote means is that the strongest man is the most independent; individuals
who do not need to rely on others to survive. Individuals who stand alone are the ones who realize
the strength within themselves and become powerful characters. This quote is valid because
individuals who like to take actions on their own and at their own pace become the most
successful. Two works of literature that support the validity of this statement are The Catcher in
the Rye, by J.D. Salinger and The Color of Water, by James McBride.
The Color of Water, is a memoir, set in a variety of settings; from Suffolk, Virginia, to Wilmington,

he would not have been able to become a stronger and more successful individual. Ultimately, The
Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger, and The Color of Water, by James McBride, both support the

Henrik Ibsen. As life goes on, individuals will learn and realize that isolating yourself will not get
you anywhere in life; it will only hurt you. You can be in control of your own destiny and you
will gain perspective on your life. Both protagonists, Holden Caulfield and Ruth McBride, teach

independent allows you to see the world from a different perspective and no matter what life

Community Poetry By Pablo Neruda
The Rationale
One of the aims of this project was to provide an opportunity for individuals, and more importantly
the oppressed, to liberate their minds. Language has immense power in liberating and creating
transformative social change. Freire (2005) states that language is never neutral and cannot exist
without thought (p. 96). Despite the fact, language can be used as a tool of control by the
oppressors. It also holds the ability to be used as a means of liberation. Using creative language,
such as contributing to the community poetry project, can grant individuals the ability to
contemplate how their individualistic modern selves fit within a greater community. This can lead
to realization.
This would not be the first time that language, and more specifically poetry, has played an
essential role in liberation movements of the oppressed. A Chilean poet by the name of Pablo
Neruda, for instance, created works that were critical of society (Moran, 2009). Neruda s poetry
gave a voice to a population that felt ignored by their government and by the upper classes. The
poems gave courage and pride to the struggling working class (the oppressed). Chilean workers
memorized his works by heart and gathered in the streets to hear their poet (a poet of the people)
recite his writings (Moran, 2009). Language, in this instance, had the ability to create a
revolutionary spirit.
Many a great poet are not only critical of society, but of the injustices and inequitable relationships

Video Game Console Research Paper
The video game console is a gaming system to play video games on the television invented by
Ralph Baer and it was invented because Ralph wanted to make his dream come true for the first
time. Ralph made models to test his invention and make a good console that was worth paying
for. Although it took some time to build, he never gave up and kept on trying if he didn t get it
right the first time. He was a very good man and received many awards for his accomplishments.
His story was that he was while living in Germany a war was going to happen and he didn t want to
get killed before he could have his dream to come true. He moved fast so he can go to the United
States of America to live his dream of making a video game console. Today they are made with a

Baer: he was nicknamed The Father of Video Games . In 1975 there was a console called Atari
Sears Tele Game Pong System. Another interesting fact is that the consoles are banned in China.
The video game console is important because it helped develop a gaming life for some people
and community for a lot of people that like to play video games. Today its role is for kids and
adults to enjoy their gaming life and interact with friends on a video game to get in touch more
often. The video game console has evolved over about 48 years and it has changed in many ways.
One way it has changed is well just everything and it was not able to be connected with your TV
back then but now you can. One interesting fact is that the Nintendo and play station were sold with
155 million units. The very first video game console came out in 1972 and it was called The
Magnavox Odyssey. It became popular in the 1970 s and 1980 s. The first ever video game to
play on the video game console was Tennis for Two. It was the very first one even though people
thought the first video game was Pong most of those people were wrong. In 1976 they released a

Ezgo Case Study
The EZGO company was started by two brothers in Georgia in the early 1950 s. With hard work
and wits, the Dolan brothers eventually cornered the golf cart market. To expand their business,
EZGO could venture into the off road path of vehicles. Thus, entering said market of off road
vehicles is easier said than done, because of the dominance Polaris has displays with their utility
and sport off road vehicles. Polaris would be EZGO most competitive rivalry. The only way to be
successful in cornering the off road market, would to complete an acquisition of Polaris. The mere
fact of Polaris existence is an automatic reduce in potential profit in the off road industry. Also, by
purchasing Polaris, EZGO would eliminate the buyer bargaining power because their biggest
competitor would no longer be in existence.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Without Polaris in the picture, EZGO can set the market how they feel would be the most
profitable. However, EZGO would have to extra careful because of the threat of new entrants. If
EZGO finds a way to be extremely profitable, then that will get the attention of other competitors.
You must corner the off road market in a fashion that is, profitable, and looks too risky for other
competitors to even think about entering the realm of off road sports vehicles. Thus, would
eliminate the threat of substitutes. Which means, another company wouldn t try and develop
anything within the realm of the off road vehicle. Conversely, would make EZGO as dominate in
the off road vehicle market as they are in the golf cart

Examples Of Short Stories
When people interact with one another, they will leave impacts on one another. These imprints
can take only seconds of someone s time, but those imprints can last a lifetime. The short stories
All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury, Through the Tunnel by Doris Lessing, and The Veldt by
Ray Bradbury are fine examples of the impact of parental figures in upbringings.
The three stories setting s are similar because they set up for the plot. For instance, in All Summer
in a Day, the author describes the setting as, It had been raining for seven years; thousand upon
thousands of days compounded and filled from one end to the other with rain, with the drum and

police officer. After every request and appeal has failed, the time has come for Davis to be

Society is required to take action to maintain order against crime, they claim. If society did not
practice justice, then people would be free to do whatever they wished. It would be anarchy and a
disaster. The more debatable argument is that victims families suffer without capital punishment.
They are forced not only to live with the thought of their deceased loved one, but also to constantly
confront the thought that the person who caused their pain is still alive. Olga Polites, a New
Jersey teacher, was strictly opposed to the death penalty until her husband s cousin was murdered.
Her anger caused her to change her views entirely (23 25). She, like others who support capital
punishment, believes that revenge is the panacea for her pain.
While some may argue that execution is the only effective remedy to serious crime, others believe
that less cruel punishments like life imprisonment are just as effective forms of justice if not more
effective . Life imprisonment allows a criminal to improve himself by permitting him the chief
human right: the right to life. While victims families do deserve justice, their loss does not
sanction them to decide another person s fate. Families should appreciate the possibility that a
criminal may repent rather than wish vengeance on him. They have no more right to bring harm
to a person than the rest of society; revenge is not a valid answer to crime (Cohen 161 170). Even
worse than executing those who are actually guilty of a

Takayasus s Arteritis in Northeast Iran
Our aim was to describe the demographic, clinical, and laboratory characteristics of Takayasu s
arteritis the in northeast of Iran. Introduction: Takayasu s arteritis (TA) is a chronic vasculitis of
unknown etiology. TA affects adolescent girls and young women. It has a worldwide distribution,
with the greatest prevalence in Asians 1 2. A generalized inflammatory syndrome with fever, night
sweats, malaise, anorexia, weight loss, and diffuse myalgia often dominates initial manifestations
of TA. These symptoms are frequently misdiagnosed as infection 3.Takayasu s arteritis primarily
affects the aorta and its primary branches 4. The inflammatory processes cause thickening of the
walls of the affected arteries. The proximal aorta can become dilated due to inflammatory injury.
Narrowing, occlusion, or dilation of the arteries in varying degrees results in a wide variety of
symptoms 5. Involvement of the carotid and vertebral arteries leads to neurologic and
ophthalmologic symptoms, including dizziness, tinnitus, headaches, syncope, stroke, and visual
disturbances. Atrophy of facial muscles and jaw claudication are mostly late manifestations.
Occlusions of the brachiocephalic and subclavian arteries impair blood flow to the upper
extremities, presenting as arm claudication, pulselessness, and discrepant blood pressures. The
detection of bruits can be helpful in making the diagnosis 6. TA is not very rare in Iran 7. We

The second is immobilization and self protection, driven by fear or panic. The next is you can t
make me move deviance, driven by anger. And the last is a pessimistic attitude, leading to
constant hesitation. These behaviors prevent people from taking action. Instead, they hold back
or complain as others initiate new action. The result is that a needed change effort is derailed.
The first step is not to create a vision. This is especially true if your organization is in crisis, if
alligators are nipping at your feet. If they stand on a burning platform, they have no choice but to
take immediate action, to jump away from their comfortable positions. Assembling a team to
discuss the organization s new vision won t be very successful, because team members will be
worried more about self preservation than the new vision. (continued on page 3) See, Feel, Change
Changing one person is hard enough, but changing 100 or 1000 is an almost Herculean task. Yet
organizations are doing just that. Most that do so successfully focus on showing what needs to be
changed. Once people respond emotionally to the lesson, their emotional reactions propel them into
action. They see, then feel, then change. To help them make the leap, you must: вњ“ Help people
see the need for change with compelling, eye catching dramatic situations to visualize problems and
solutions. вњ“ Let people feel as they are hit with the reality of their situation and feel the need to

Difference Between Peer Server Vs Client Server Network
Client Server network Vs. Peer Peer network.
Key differences between Client Server network and Peer Peer network:
1.Data path: The prominent difference between client to server network and peer to peer
network is that in a client to server network, the designated clients request for services and the
servers provide them (data flows from server to client), but in peer to peer network, peers act as
service providers and service consumers and service providers at the same time (data flows within
peers).
2.Configuration: The Client server network requires a central security database which stores
blocks of shared data as a backup, but the peer peer network does not contain the central security
database as each peer contains its own data.

Discovery Of Diamonds And Gold Diamonds
Discovery of Diamonds
Most all of the world has had a love affair with diamonds. They are sparkling, mesmerizingly
beautiful and considered rare gems. Yet, if you knew the history and the blood that is shed over
the 133 million carats of diamonds mined each year, you would probably never buy a diamond
again. Diamonds have been considered valuable since they were found. To understand the diamond
industry we must first look at when they were discovered and where they are mined. Although, the
first diamonds discovered were not mined but found in alluvial deposits along the banks of Orange
River in India around 4000 BC. It s interesting to think that in both India and Africa the first

history is the Small Boys Unit in Sierra Leone. I read about horrendous accounts of torture and

counteract this, De Beers, was clever to hire an advertising agency to work up a genius way of
addressing the price decline by increasing the demand for quality diamonds. In 1947, De Beers

Essay on Fahrenheit 451 Sybolism of Fire
The Symbolism of Fire
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, is a novel filled with many symbols. The symbolism used in this
novel varies from different animals to things in nature. One of the biggest symbols throughout the
novel is fire. Fire has multiple meanings in Fahrenheit 451, and is usually symbolized as something
to be feared. Throughout the novel, fire is something that people do not want, even though it can be
so much more than a bad thing. Fire can represent knowledge and awareness, rebirth and
construction, as well as destruction. Fire is depicted, throughout history, as a symbol of knowledge
and awareness. Fire is usually a symbol that appears in novels right at a time when the main
character has an epiphany or realizes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is said in ancient Greek and Roman mythology that burning the body helps the soul to be
purified and pass on to the afterlife. Though fire can represent knowledge and rebirth, it is
mainly depicted as a destructive force. In the novel fire is used to burn books which are
knowledge. By burning this knowledge the society was kept in a confined situation where the
amount of knowledge in everyone is evenly distributed. It was a pleasure to see things eaten, to
see things blackened and changed. (Bradbury 3) This quotation shows Montag s feelings towards
burning in the beginning of the novel. Fire destroyed the books. Fire destroyed homes. Fire
destroyed the light in everyone. The fire was not only used to destroy things but it kept the people
of society in line. The fire may have been represented as a disciplinary tool. By having a constant
source of the fire, people had fear distilled in them from the start. This made them subconsciously
obedient even though they seemed to be insubordinate. The overall theme of fire in Fahrenheit 451
is a feeling of destruction. With the right surroundings and intentions it was used for so much more
than that. It was used as a way to exhibit knowledge. Above all, though the depiction of destruction
is very influential, and the representation of knowledge is somewhat there, the most important
symbolism of fire in the novel

Abstract
This study examines effects that modern technology/media influence on students and family
dynamics. Most of us do not need the results of a nationwide report to recognize that media have
become an indispensable component and major influence in our everyday lives. A powerful tool,
that contemporary society uses not only to entertain but also to communicate and educate, there is
an ever present availability to media access. However, there is an ongoing debate over whether or
not the power of this influence and its ubiquitous availability yields positive or negative
consequences in different aspects of our lives.

Abigail Fisher s Case Summary
The University of Texas at Austin is a world renown school with an acceptance rate of 40.2% as
of 2013. Abigail Fisher, a white woman from Texas, sued the University of Texas for racial
discrimination in the university s admission program. Ms. Fisher lost her district court case and
the Fifth Circuit Case three to zero; but the Supreme Court accepted her appeal for another trial.
Due to Ms. Fisher not being able to attend The University of Texas, she was accepted into
Louisiana State University shortly after. At LSU, she filed the lawsuit against the University of
Texas to prohibit the university to use race as a factor in the future admission process. Ms. Fisher
argued that race or ethnicity should not be a factor in the application process because it is simply
unfair. The university responded that using race as a factor is only part of the admission process
and is only used to ensure a large diverse group of students. The University of Texas automatically
admits students in the top ten percent of high schools in the state. The school also used the
affirmative action policy to admit students of other races, even with less credentials, over white
students. While Ms. Fisher was not in the top ten percent of her high school, she still thought that
with her GPA, performing arts, and other achievements; she would be able to attend the university.

Children with Learning Disabilities Essay
Children with Learning Disabilities Do you know anyone who suffers from a learning
disability? There are several disabilities out there, so chances are you must know someone who
battles with the day to day hassles. But, are learning disabilities really a hassle? More often than
not, this can be considered a misconception. Learning disabilities (LD) affect the way a person of
at least average intelligence receives, stores, and processes information (NCLD 2001). This
neurological disorder prevents children especially from being able to perform well academically.
Therefore more time and special programs are fostered to them. Once one is educated about what
the disability means, the causes of LD, what programs are available to... Show more content on

Understanding a foreign language is also not one of their strong points. A child with a learning
disability does not perform well on tests, especially when they are timed, often refuses to do
written work, and has trouble decoding words. This usually means that they have trouble
hearing and understanding a person s directions since they cannot decode the message properly.
(Silverman) Of the three previously mentioned diseases, Dyslexia impairs a person s ability to
read, write, and spell (NINDS 2003). Although they are of normal intelligence, their reading level
is below average. They will usually have trouble with phonological processing (the manipulation
of sounds) and/or rapid visual verbal responding. (NINDS 2003). Children with dyslexia complain
they cannot read their textbooks, do not have enough time to finish tests, cannot take notes, and
are unable to read their own handwriting (GVSU 2000). Dyslexia does not affect every person
the same way, and signs of the disorder may not be prevalent until later, when grammar and more
in depth writing skills are introduced. Dyslexia can also create a difficulty in processing
vocabulary and thoughts correctly when speaking, and understanding what one says when they are
spoken to. Dysgraphia is another neurological disorder that focuses on writing. When a child with
this disorder is first introduced to writing, they will make unnecessary spaces between their letters,

New Public Management and Decision Making in UK Public...
Discuss how the tendency of New Public Management has impacted on decision making in UK
public policy.
New Public Management is generally used to describe a management culture that emphasises upon
the citizen or customer as being central, as well as having accountability for results. It also suggests
organizational structures and promotes decentralized control, many different types of service
delivery mechanisms, including quasi markets with public and private service providers competing
for resources. New Public Management does not suggest that a government should stop performing
certain tasks. Although the New Public

The crisis of the welfare state led to questions about the role and institutional character of the state.
In the case of some countries, reforms in public administration and management have been driven
more by external pressures and have taken place in the context of structural adjustment
programmes. Other drivers of New Public Management type reforms include the ascendancy of neo
liberal ideas from the late 1970s, the development of information technology, and the growth and
use of international management consultants as advisors on reforms[4].
Historically, it has been convenient for a decision maker to distinguish between the public and
private sectors. Operational objectives of managers within the private sector have always been
considered as geared towards maintaining a position within the marketplace, thinking competitively
and are more willing to innovate.

The Concept Of Fate In Oedipus The King
What s meant to be will always find a way by Trisha Yearwood, it is an inspirational quote that
applies to every human being. Even so, it s imperative, when it has to deal with a person s fate.
There will be obstacles that may deter a person s future. It can likewise make a man so focused on
his needs that they may have, which will later result in disappointment to the people around them.
People are neglectful in the decisions they make because they are sure that if they get what they
need, joy will undoubtedly be inevitable for them. The same fate had happened to Sophocles
protagonist Oedipus the king, who had tried to avoid his fate by running away, but eventually, he
could not avoid his fate. This essay will discuss how Oedipustried to avoid his fate and how he
could have stopped his future from coming to past.
However, when I first started reading the play Oedipus the king the concept of fate came up all
through the play. Because of this many questions came to mind, but only one stood out the most
how did the idea of fate come about? . While the dictionary defines fate as the development of
events beyond a person s control, regarded as determined by a supernatural power. The Bible
shows that man was made with the capacity to settle on moral decisions and that heshe is in
charge of those choices. Even so, while reading the play by Sophocles, I was led to believe that
our present situation or wrongdoing of humankind have been determined long before we were ever

The Importance Of Augustus, The First Emperor Of The Roman...
Throughout the Roman Empire, many new perceptions and strong leaders began to rise to overall
power. These new perceptions and leaders helped build the structure of the history of the world. One
of these resilient leaders was Augustus, who was considered to be the first emperor of the historical
Roman Empire. During his reign as the first emperor, Augustus established many new and fulfilling
virtues. Some of these virtues included the idea of taxation being more reasonable for citizens. He
also implemented the creation of roads and the ultimate revamping of the Roman city. In order to
document his lifetime and role as a Roman leader, Augustus decided to scribe many of his
experienced achievements, successes, and victories. More importantly, he used this subjective
inscription to successfully display his leadership and consultant persona during his reign.
Throughout the inscription of the Res Gestae, Augustus expresses and legitimates his diplomatic
authority by describing his many political successes, social achievements, and military victories to
seek the approval of citizens throughout his reign during the Roman Empire.
During his admired reign, Augustus claimed to have proficiency in many political successes that
ultimately expresses and legitimates his authority. Along with exiling the murderers of his father,
he describes how he undertook many civil and foreign wars by land and sea throughout the world
(RG, 1). This claim addresses how Augustus made many

Analysis of Michael Moore s Treatment of His Subject Matter within the Documentaries Bowling
for Columbine and Fahrenheit 911
A documentary may be as a film or television or radio programme that provides factual information
about a subject. Typically, a documentary is a journalistic record of events presented on screen.
The main conventions of documentaries tend to be that the documentary has voice over
commentary; the main focus is on the issues rather than relationships between characters, they also
build up the setting so the viewer can build up a context.
Documentaries do not leave on cliff hangers, they usually end with a conclusion or final
interpretation to provoke thought on the issue ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Editing can cause a bias to a subject matter; therefore the objectivity of a documentary may be lost.
An example of this is Michael Moore s apparent dislike of George Bush s administration and his

documentary and fiction is tenuous. Both are create by edititing and selection. Both, willingly, or
unwillingly, embody a viewpoint.

Final Exit. The name is very to the point and feels like a way out in the darkness. As we were

How Did The Pope Lose His Power
Power is said to be the authority to act. Throughout the years of growth and strong leadership, the
Roman Church began to suffer its grip on the faithfulness of the European people. This downfall
was inevitable due to the strict policies of the Popes that had tremendous power. During the
centuries, the papacy suffered a major decline in authority due to several events and movements.
These include, the incident between King Philip IV and Boniface III, the Great Schism and post
Black Death. In the end, I strongly agree that the Popes power had declined in relation to all the
events and movements that have happened in the past to affect it severely. During the 10th century,

In response to all this chaos, Philip accused the Pope of committing crimes against man, nature,
and God. Pope Boniface didn t like the accusation, so he retreated to Avignon. The Pope s
movements of going back to Avignon were a weakness shown because the people of Rome felt
very fearful and anxious with the idea of the Pope overseeing the citizens from a different city.
In the perspective of the people, they didn t believe in the Pope to make wise and crucial
decisions for Rome. Things came to an end when King Philip IV made a powerful order of
denouncing the Pope. Later, King Philip gathered an important council meeting of the Church
and talked about the allegations of Pope Boniface, which includes simony, bribery, and more. To

and a higher class to Wang. This is what he had valued the most since the beginning of the novel.

major dependence on the land came when Wang Lung s family faces a terrible famine. The

of these flights are made available till the date of departure (Koenigsberg, Muller and Vicassim,

made it very easy to incorporate the web into its central booking system. By achieving this, there
were no possible channel conflicts with other intermediaries, for example with travel agents
Easyjet s website illustrates their pricing policy as being based on supply and demand, and
prices usually increase as seats are sold on every flight. Basically the sooner a person books, the
cheaper the flight ticket would be . The web also states that the low cost scheme of easyJet is not
tickets, no ties to other networks, no travel agents and no on flight meals. (easyJet plc., 2010). A
pin code is also given for each customer s booking that is done on the website which is given to
travellers upon arrival at the airport.
Brand Strategy:
To gain a competitive advantage, most companies tend to implement a brand strategy. What makes
easyJet stand out amongst its competitors is their image of a low budget airline and no frills
services; this brand strategy is simple but strong. EasyJets whole company is recognised by their
unique orange logo, this color also forms part of the uniform worn by their staff, which in turn is a
strong recognised tool by the consumers.

Eukaryotic Cells
Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic
There are two basic types of cells, prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells. The main difference
between eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells is that eukaryotic cells have a nucleus. The nucleus is
where cells store their DNA, which is the genetic material. The nucleus is surrounded by a
membrane. Prokaryotic cells do not have a nucleus. Instead, their DNA floats around inside the cell.
Organisms with prokaryotic cells are called prokaryotes. All prokaryotes are single celled
(unicellular) organisms. Bacteria and Archaea are the only prokaryotes. Organisms with eukaryotic
cells are called eukaryotes. Animals, plants, fungi, and protists are eukaryotes. All multicellular
organisms are eukaryotes. Eukaryotes may also be single celled.

Some eukaryotic species have just a few chromosomes, others have close to 100 or more. These
chromosomes are protected within the nucleus. In addition to a nucleus, eukaryotic cells include
other membrane bound structures called organelles. Organelles allow eukaryotic cells to be more
specialized than prokaryotic cells. Pictured below are the organelles of eukaryotic cells (Figure
below), including the mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, and Golgi apparatus. These will be
discussed in additional concepts.
Organelles of a eukaryotic cell
Eukaryotic cells contain a nucleus and various other special compartments surrounded by
membranes, called organelles. The nucleus is where the DNA (chromatin) is stored. Organelles

Prokaryotic Cells
Prokaryotic cells (Figure below) are usually smaller and simpler than eukaryotic cells. They do
not have a nucleus or other membrane bound organelles. In prokaryotic cells, the DNA, or genetic
material, forms a single large circle that coils up on itself. The DNA is located in the main part of the

history throughout the ages and is remembered for her reckless attempt at reigning over France as
Queen as well as her materialistic demeanour, which was symbolic of the French monarchy and
greatly despised by French commoners. Despite her inefficient reign over France, Marie s time as
Queen was not entirely unfruitful. During her reign she was recorded as being immensely
charitable towards the destitute. Due to being of Austrian descent, she was subject to discrimination
and made a scapegoat for the failings of the France.

Pearl Harbor Bald Eagle Times
Pearl Harbor Bald Eagle Times #58 To the readers of the Bald Eagle Times newspaper and
anyone involved in the daily issues: As a newspaper reporter, I do my best to publish the cold
hard truth, without any introduction of bias towards anyone that may or may not have been
involved, whether that bias be directly or indirectly. This means a great deal of work on my
part, and often I delay my reporting of the news until I am sure that all the facts I have reported
are correct. It also means that before you get the truth, there are mobs of stories claiming to have
nothing but the truth as told to me by a witness or the inside scoop or the real deal. These
newspapers are usually full of bologna, exaggeration, what the readers want to hear, and other
shenanigans. Thus is the case of the story that s about to be told. It is the story of the December
7, 1941 attack on the American naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, by the Japanese Empire.
Although I was there, I still delayed my reporting until I was sure I had all my facts straight. In
this instance, however, I was not able to keep this article free of the interjection of bias. This
story, and more I fear are to come, are completely accurate, but not free of the interjection of bias,
though it was minimized. However the story is 100% fact. The empire of japan had secret plans to
conquer the Philippines, Malaya, the Netherlands and the East Indies. This they felt, would increase
the nation s strength, and it would be a

Ancient Druids
Very little is known about the ancient druids. They left no written accounts of themselves, and the
only evidence is a few descriptions left by Greek, Roman, and various scattered authors and artists,
as well as stories created by later medieval Irish writers [4] Druids concern themselves with divine
affairs, managing public and private sacrifices and interpreting matters of religion. [1] A great
number of young men gather about them to learn and hold them in great honor. In fact, it is they
who decide in almost all disputes, public and private; and if any crime has been committed, or
murder done, or there is any dispute about succession or boundaries, they also decide it,
determining rewards and penalties: if any person or people does not abide by their decision, they
ban such from sacrifice, which is their heaviest penalty. [7] Those that are so banned are reckoned
as impious and criminal, all men move out of their path and shun their approach and conversation,

I believe that they have adopted this practice for two reasons: that they don t want their teaching to
become common knowledge, nor do they desire for those who learn the rule to rely on writing and
so neglect the cultivation of the memory. It does usually happen that the assistance of writing tends
to relax the diligence of the student and the action of the memory. [7] A modern example of this is
how people no longer remember phone numbers because it is simply stored in their cellular

Roman Propaganda Expressed Through Art
Unit 7 Essay
Mark Sprowls
AP art history The Roman rulers from ancient times are well known for their ability to coax their
people into thinking a certain way through the use of convincing pieces of art. The Roman
Empire was very troubled and its emperors are infamous for such things as lavish spending,
unnecessary war, and even the killing of family members, and this begs the question: how were
there so few large scale revolts of the Roman populous? The answer is the use of propaganda in
popular Roman culture. The Roman Empire used propaganda for political purposes by
incorporating Roman family values, victorious war scenes, and general Roman successes into their
artworks. Adding family values to art that depicted a Roman ruler s ... Show more content on

On the Arch of Constantine a plethora of works depicting the triumphs of his predecessors can
be seen, which he uses to his advantage, as if he was proposing the idea that he was as great as
the other emperors. In fact, he even goes as far to replace the heads of the other emperors on the
arch with his own like he was responsible for the many good deeds that they had done. One
example of this is a relief where Hadrian is sacrificing an animal to Apollo and then hunting boar,
except Hadrian s face is replaced by Constantine s. This stealing of works was probably a way to
gain favor with the populous for himself as well as the next ruling emperor. All in all these two
monuments to their respective patrons were highly effective pieces of propaganda that may have
been responsible for a less rebellious empire. To look back upon the propaganda used by the Roman
Empire, it seems particularly ingenious that they accomplished such a feat. To keep an empire with
that many problems, problems that could undermine even the greatest leaders, relatively stable is
astonishing. In conclusion, through propaganda in art that depicted victorious war campaigns,
successful emperors and a halcyon family life the Rulers of ancient Rome were able to extend their
respective time in power as well as increasing their already great

Gon And Killua Short Story
With Killua s intimidating presence and the roadblocks, if you call them that, dwindling in
challenge the three were able to fly through the rest of the Ruin s chambers. After a while, Flowey
stopped them in a room vastly different from what the rest of the Ruins had to offer, he motioned
for Gon to set him down.
This is the first room of the Ruins, if you go further you ll end up at the entrance to the
Underground.
So where we fell down?
You got it, just be careful of the big monster. See ya! Flowey plunged underground while Gon and
Killua practically skidded down the slabs of marbles. As they passed through the exit, darkness
caved in on them, their only guide to navigate through the blackness were the few patches of land

HEHEHAHA! The pellets began closing in on Gon and Killua with the openings too small to
escape it was an utterly inescapable trap.
Gon, we have to figure a way out of this and quick!
Gon stepped back to face Killua. Killua...don t be mad at me, okay? He said, his usual cheerful
tone was drenched in such a level of seriousness that completely threw Killua off guard. He didnt
even have the chance to open his mouth, before being pushed him onto the ground.
Gon positioned his body over Killua, his shadow covering his chest and eyes locked onto Killua s
soul. His soul is slightly bigger than mine...no, I can t think about that right now, I have to focus on
this! Gon submerged himself in a protective layer of aura. Can you...manage to get underground
and stop Flowey? He mustered, despite his best efforts, the pellets clawed through Gon s defense
and pounded his skin raw.
Though Gon s words trembled from the sheer amount of pain he was shouldering, his eyes stood
strong and passionate. Killua understood exactly what Gon was doing for him, yet he couldn t
stand it all at the same time. Of course I can. Killua s hand sharpened and he began chopping
away at the hardened dirt beneath them. I really don t deserve someone like him to be by my

The first theme that will be compared between Trash and Millions is the theme of friendship. In

of Trash, Rat convinces the boys to throw the money over Bahala for the poor people who live
there just like Millions at the end of the movie, it shows poor people in Africa having clean water

Legal Positivists And Natural Law
An unjust law cannot be a valid law In the light of Natural Law and Positivist theories, assess the
accuracy of the above statement. To what extent are legal positivists and natural law theorists
accurate in terms of the idea that an unjust law cannot be a valid law ? In this essay i will
attempt to define the concept of the validity of law in relation to both natural law theorists and
positivist theorists. For the purpose of this essay I will define validity of a law as Having legal
force; effective or binding (The Free Dictionary). The main reason for the continual debate
between both theories is that they are both very similar although they may appear to be at
contrary ends of each spectrum. Natural law theorists believe that in order for a law to be valid
it must have some moral principle therefore if laws which are enacted in statues have no
authority, they are not moral. Whereas positivists support and emphasise the importance of a
division between morality and law. I will begin by outlining both theories. I will then move onto
asses the accuracy of the following statement, An unjust law cannot be a valid law this includes
establishing the similarities and differences of both theories; in order to do this effectively it is
essential that a thorough understanding of both theories has been developed. Finally I will
summarise my findings, An unjust law cannot be a valid law true or false? The first question we
need to address in order to be able to assess this

Summary Of Heyoka Ceremony From Black Elk Speaks
Heyoka Ceremony from Black Elk Speaks, by Nicholas Black Elk is a story dedicated to the
Indian nation and the Hayoki a religious people intrinsically connected to nature through their
visions of thunderous creatures who were once part of this nation. Traditionally, Hayoki
participates in religious ceremonies where this particular ceremony involved the sacrificing of a
dog, a seemingly foolish act done with great reverence to the thunder beings of the west, that not
only demonstrates their faith, beliefs, and traditions but also keeps them connected to the spiritual
realm. It s important to note that as inhumane as it may seem to Western cultures, this sacrifice was
done in the most respectful way possible, as Lakota promotes the respect of mother earth and
everything in it. Even though the sacrificial killing of a domestic animal like a dog can be seen as
controversial, in order to understand the Heyoka Ceremonies, we must first understand its origins....

person . When one has a vision of thunder beings he is called by Wakinyan, the Thunder Being, to

means violating social norms, a contradiction that causes many observers to feel that the Heyoka
practices are foolish and sac religious. However, the Heyoka play a particularly vital role in the
religion of the Lakota. This importance can be seen in their participation in ceremonies, the
reverence shown to them by their people, and their healing

Identify the functions of a CSU and DSU. How are they used in a corporate environment?
I like to think of a CSU/DSU(Channel service and Data service unit) as something similar to a
modem. In general Dial up or DSL service a modem is required to convert digital signals to analog
and vice versa. A CSU/DSU acts in the same way. The CSU/DSU converts the digitaldata frames
that local area networks (LAN) uses into a frame a wide area network (WAN) uses and just like the
modem it will change the frames back to go the other direction across the network.
Within the cooperate environment CSU/DSU are very useful. Most large corporations have moved
away from general DSL/cable internet and have moved to dedicated circuit lines such as T 1 or ...

ISDN also has the ability to lower the internet speed when an incoming call comes in to ensure the
quality of the call is unaffected by you surfing at the same time. Finally with ISDN telephone calls
actually become clearer then use of just the telephone line. This is due to the fact that the ISDN
modem makes the segment (links the customer to the exchange) digital thus making the entire
phone line digital and increases the quality of the call.
What are some of the greatest security risks to a WAN? Provide an example of one risk and
discuss the potential consequences and possible precautions.
In my opinion the biggest security risk in a WAN is something that no one really ever thinks
about and is the one exploited more then all of the other risks combined. That risk is the user.
The user on the network is the greatest risk a network could undergo. I have always been told in
my security department that your network is only as safe as the weakest user on the network.
The user is the easiest part of the network to exploit because it is easier to trick a person then it is
to trick a machine. For example phishing scams from emails or WebPages steal user credentials
every day. People believe if it has your networks logo on it that it is from your network. Another
easy exploit on the user is Social Engineering. I have seen this actually happen in my

As a research from International Journal of Business and Management about a company stopped its
automatic salary increments says that the employees of the company were not happy with that
scheme and the company tries to give training to them about that bonus scheme. So the company
ordered all the HODs (Head of Departments) to educate their respective departments on the benefits
of the new bonus scheme. After the training those employees get enough education about the new
bonus system and they agreed to the new system. And they were motivated to work harder
(Akinlolu Ayodeji Agboola amp; Rafiu Oyesola Salawu 2011).
Participation can be used to satisfy the workers, as when workers are participated and involved
in decision making process then they will have understanding that the organization needs them
and value their work. If the people actively participate they will be more likely to feel ownership
of the change and will be less likely to resist. When the employees are involved and participated in
planning and implementing the change process will have better understanding towards the
changes. Participation of managers and employees to the change approach will be able to manage
resistance to change quicker (Rosemond Boohene amp; Asamoah Appiah Williams 2012). When
employees are involved in the change effort they are more likely to buy into change rather than
resist it. This approach is likely to lower resistance

Asians: Why Aren t the Men Considered Sexy? Dating is the initial step process to achieving
intimate union. For centuries, people tended to date and marry others who looked just like them,
but the twenty first century dating scene is culturally diverse. And because people become the most
neurotic versions of themselves on their quest for true love, some individuals seeking affection
begin to fetishize a particular race, and often times that race is Asian. Asian women are statistically
the most fantasized about and sought after, yet their other half, Asian men, lack in comparison. The
statistically proven gap in desirability for Asian men and women is linked to the physical and

One of the most common myths pertaining to Asian males is that they lack a collective female
favorite, machismo. This trait is frequently considered outlandish in terms of Asian males and is
a characteristic most Latinos and Caucasians are believed to have. A big contributor to this
disbelief is depicted trough the modern day media, where, most depictions of Asian males in the
popular media are not the same as their Caucasian counterparts. (Chan The 11 Differences
Between Dating an Asian Guy vs a Caucasian Guy ). An example would be Jackie Chan, who is
rarely shown as a hunky or virile star of the show. This unruly problem has also occurred
throughout all of Hollywood whereas the subordinate roles that Asian men acquire are
commonly presented in a non appealing fashion. These stereotypes that media projects are
Asian American men as sidekicks who serve as comic relief, who are extremely nervous or silent
around girls, are short and deeply accented, and sidekick samurai warriors (Sun, 4 Lies We Need
to Stop Telling About Asian American Men ). Since the media plays such a big role in what
society tends to believe, Asian men are most likely opinionated as the perpetual foreigner who has

  • 2. New England Patriots Deflated Footballs I do believe that the New England Patriots deflated footballs in the American Football Conference championship game against the Indianapolis Colts. The game was held on January 18, 2015, at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. The National Football League requires footballs to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 pounds per square inch of air (2016 NFL Rulebook). Before halftime the Colts linebacker, D Qwell Jackson, intercepted a pass from the Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady. Later, Jackson said the football appeared spongy, which describes the texture of an underinflated ball (Deflategate Timeline). At halftime all twelve of the Patriots footballs were measured, and all twelve were below the minimum pressure (Deflategate). After the game when the National Football Leaguelaunched an investigation, they hired Ted Wells to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Before the report was published, the Patriots argued that the pressure gauges used to measure the footballs were inaccurate; however, during the testing two different gauges were used, and both were made by different companies (Deflategate). Also, the gauges were tested after the game, and both were determined to be accurate (Deflategate). The Patriots also argued that the pressure temperature law was the cause of the low pressure in the footballs (Deflategate). This law, also known as Gay Lussac s law, stated that a decrease in temperature would cause a decrease in pressure and vice versa (ChemTeam: Gas Law Gay Lussac s Law). The Patriots said that according to this law when the footballs were brought outside in the cold air from the warm locker room, where the balls were inflated, the decrease in temperature caused a decrease in pressure (Deflategate). HeadSmart labs, a well trusted scientific consulting group, stated that after accounting for all environmental factors present during the time of the game the pressure temperature law could cause at most one and eight tenths pounds per square inch of air to be expelled from the ... • 4. The Strongest Man Upon the Earth Is He Who Stands Most... According to Henrik Ibsen, The strongest man upon the earth is he who stands most alone. In other words, what this quote means is that the strongest man is the most independent; individuals who do not need to rely on others to survive. Individuals who stand alone are the ones who realize the strength within themselves and become powerful characters. This quote is valid because individuals who like to take actions on their own and at their own pace become the most successful. Two works of literature that support the validity of this statement are The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger and The Color of Water, by James McBride. The Color of Water, is a memoir, set in a variety of settings; from Suffolk, Virginia, to Wilmington, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He lived away from his family for a great part of his life and because of being independent at such an early age; he later on endeared a mental breakdown and ended up in an asylum. However, being independent made Holden realize that he has a problem and that if he would not have gone to the asylum and seeked help from professions, then he would not have been able to become a stronger and more successful individual. Ultimately, The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger, and The Color of Water, by James McBride, both support the validity of the quote, The strongest man upon the earth is he who stands most alone, said by author Henrik Ibsen. As life goes on, individuals will learn and realize that isolating yourself will not get you anywhere in life; it will only hurt you. You can be in control of your own destiny and you will gain perspective on your life. Both protagonists, Holden Caulfield and Ruth McBride, teach us that to ensure a prominent future, you need to overcome obstacles in all situations. This will better you as a person and will offer you a sense of what happens in the real world. Being independent allows you to see the world from a different perspective and no matter what life throws at you; you can get up from the ground, start again, and begin leading ... • 5. Community Poetry By Pablo Neruda The Rationale One of the aims of this project was to provide an opportunity for individuals, and more importantly the oppressed, to liberate their minds. Language has immense power in liberating and creating transformative social change. Freire (2005) states that language is never neutral and cannot exist without thought (p. 96). Despite the fact, language can be used as a tool of control by the oppressors. It also holds the ability to be used as a means of liberation. Using creative language, such as contributing to the community poetry project, can grant individuals the ability to contemplate how their individualistic modern selves fit within a greater community. This can lead to realization. This would not be the first time that language, and more specifically poetry, has played an essential role in liberation movements of the oppressed. A Chilean poet by the name of Pablo Neruda, for instance, created works that were critical of society (Moran, 2009). Neruda s poetry gave a voice to a population that felt ignored by their government and by the upper classes. The poems gave courage and pride to the struggling working class (the oppressed). Chilean workers memorized his works by heart and gathered in the streets to hear their poet (a poet of the people) recite his writings (Moran, 2009). Language, in this instance, had the ability to create a revolutionary spirit. Many a great poet are not only critical of society, but of the injustices and inequitable relationships ... To expand their business, EZGO could venture into the off road path of vehicles. Thus, entering said market of off road vehicles is easier said than done, because of the dominance Polaris has displays with their utility and sport off road vehicles. Polaris would be EZGO most competitive rivalry. The only way to be successful in cornering the off road market, would to complete an acquisition of Polaris. These imprints can take only seconds of someone s time, but those imprints can last a lifetime. The short stories All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury, Through the Tunnel by Doris Lessing, and The Veldt by Ray Bradbury are fine examples of the impact of parental figures in upbringings. The three stories setting s are similar because they set up for the plot. For instance, in All Summer in a Day, the author describes the setting as, It had been raining for seven years; thousand upon thousands of days compounded and filled from one end to the other with rain, with the drum and gush of water, with the sweet crystal fall of showers and the concussion of ... If he is scared, he does not show it; he appears strong and resolute in what is undoubtedly a very daunting situation. For those about to take my life, he says, may God have mercy on your souls ( Georgia ). Davis has been on death row for over twenty years for killing a police officer. After every request and appeal has failed, the time has come for Davis to be executed by the state of Georgia. Society is required to take action to maintain order against crime, they claim. If society did not practice justice, then people would be free to do whatever they wished. It would be anarchy and a disaster. The more debatable argument is that victims families suffer without capital punishment. They are forced not only to live with the thought of their deceased loved one, but also to constantly confront the thought that the person who caused their pain is still alive. Olga Polites, a New Jersey teacher, was strictly opposed to the death penalty until her husband s cousin was murdered. Her anger caused her to change her views entirely (23 25). She, like others who support capital punishment, believes that revenge is the panacea for her pain. While some may argue that execution is the only effective remedy to serious crime, others believe that less cruel punishments like life imprisonment are just as effective forms of justice if not more effective . Life imprisonment allows a criminal to improve himself by permitting him the chief human right: the right to life. While victims families do deserve justice, their loss does not sanction them to decide another person s fate. Families should appreciate the possibility that a criminal may repent rather than wish vengeance on him. They have no more right to bring harm to a person than the rest of society; revenge is not a valid answer to crime (Cohen 161 170). Even worse than executing those who are actually guilty of a ... It has a worldwide distribution, with the greatest prevalence in Asians 1 2. A generalized inflammatory syndrome with fever, night sweats, malaise, anorexia, weight loss, and diffuse myalgia often dominates initial manifestations of TA. These symptoms are frequently misdiagnosed as infection 3.Takayasu s arteritis primarily affects the aorta and its primary branches 4. The inflammatory processes cause thickening of the walls of the affected arteries. The proximal aorta can become dilated due to inflammatory injury. Narrowing, occlusion, or dilation of the arteries in varying degrees results in a wide variety of symptoms 5. Involvement of the carotid and vertebral arteries leads to neurologic and ophthalmologic symptoms, including dizziness, tinnitus, headaches, syncope, stroke, and visual disturbances. Atrophy of facial muscles and jaw claudication are mostly late manifestations. Occlusions of the brachiocephalic and subclavian arteries impair blood flow to the upper extremities, presenting as arm claudication, pulselessness, and discrepant blood pressures. The detection of bruits can be helpful in making the diagnosis 6. TA is not very rare in Iran 7. We aimed to study the clinical, laboratory characteristics, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The symbolism used in this novel varies from different animals to things in nature. One of the biggest symbols throughout the novel is fire. Fire has multiple meanings in Fahrenheit 451, and is usually symbolized as something to be feared. Throughout the novel, fire is something that people do not want, even though it can be so much more than a bad thing. Fire can represent knowledge and awareness, rebirth and construction, as well as destruction. Fire is depicted, throughout history, as a symbol of knowledge and awareness. It is said in ancient Greek and Roman mythology that burning the body helps the soul to be purified and pass on to the afterlife. Though fire can represent knowledge and rebirth, it is mainly depicted as a destructive force. In the novel fire is used to burn books which are knowledge. By burning this knowledge the society was kept in a confined situation where the amount of knowledge in everyone is evenly distributed. It was a pleasure to see things eaten, to see things blackened and changed. (Bradbury 3) This quotation shows Montag s feelings towards burning in the beginning of the novel. Fire destroyed the books. Fire destroyed homes. Fire destroyed the light in everyone. The fire was not only used to destroy things but it kept the people of society in line. The fire may have been represented as a disciplinary tool. By having a constant source of the fire, people had fear distilled in them from the start. This made them subconsciously obedient even though they seemed to be insubordinate. The overall theme of fire in Fahrenheit 451 is a feeling of destruction. With the right surroundings and intentions it was used for so much more than that. It was used as a way to exhibit knowledge. Above all, though the depiction of destruction is very influential, and the representation of knowledge is somewhat there, the most important symbolism of fire in the novel ... As we were taught as children if there is a fire in a building you head towards the exit signs. In this metaphoric example the person s body is the building on fire and the exit is death. Although final exit is not the only way out there are other organizations that will do the same thing. Among them Dignitas, Compassion and choices, dignity in dying, exit, and the world federation of right to die societies are to name some. What all these organizations have in common is there want to allow others a deathwith dignity. They give those who are suffering a way out, when death is far better choice than living. Dignitas Began in 1998 in Forch Switzerland. They open their doors with the statement to live with dignity to die with dignity (Dignitas). Throughout the years of growth and strong leadership, the Roman Church began to suffer its grip on the faithfulness of the European people. This downfall was inevitable due to the strict policies of the Popes that had tremendous power. During the centuries, the papacy suffered a major decline in authority due to several events and movements. These include, the incident between King Philip IV and Boniface III, the Great Schism and post Black Death. The Pope s movements of going back to Avignon were a weakness shown because the people of Rome felt very fearful and anxious with the idea of the Pope overseeing the citizens from a different city. In the perspective of the people, they didn t believe in the Pope to make wise and crucial decisions for Rome. Things came to an end when King Philip IV made a powerful order of denouncing the Pope. Later, King Philip gathered an important council meeting of the Church and talked about the allegations of Pope Boniface, which includes simony, bribery, and more. To counterattack King Philip, Boniface came up with a papal bull to banish the king, but it wasn t enough. The last attack happens when Philip demands an arrest on Boniface, but failed. The earth, or the soil, brought riches and a higher class to Wang. This is what he had valued the most since the beginning of the novel. Shortly after, he got married to O lan, a servant from the House of Hwang. After noticing the House of Hwang was selling their land, as previously stated, he chose to intervene. Wang Lung bought a little piece of land from the Hwang family with some silver he had stored by selling his harvest. His major dependence on the land came when Wang Lung s family faces a terrible famine. The drought impeded water to get to the crops. All his crops had withered, except the ones in the new piece of land he had bought from the House of Hwang (Baw, 3). He felt determined to buy more land from the Hwang family, even if it meant the children must all starve if the plants starve (Buck, 48). The main difference between eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells is that eukaryotic cells have a nucleus. The nucleus is where cells store their DNA, which is the genetic material. Pearl Harbor Bald Eagle Times Pearl Harbor Bald Eagle Times #58 To the readers of the Bald Eagle Times newspaper and anyone involved in the daily issues: As a newspaper reporter, I do my best to publish the cold hard truth, without any introduction of bias towards anyone that may or may not have been involved, whether that bias be directly or indirectly. This means a great deal of work on my part, and often I delay my reporting of the news until I am sure that all the facts I have reported are correct. It also means that before you get the truth, there are mobs of stories claiming to have nothing but the truth as told to me by a witness or the inside scoop or the real deal. These newspapers are usually full of bologna, exaggeration, what the readers want to hear, and other shenanigans. Thus is the case of the story that s about to be told. It is the story of the December 7, 1941 attack on the American naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, by the Japanese Empire. Although I was there, I still delayed my reporting until I was sure I had all my facts straight. In this instance, however, I was not able to keep this article free of the interjection of bias. This story, and more I fear are to come, are completely accurate, but not free of the interjection of bias, though it was minimized. However the story is 100% fact. Roman Propaganda Expressed Through Art Unit 7 Essay Mark Sprowls AP art history The Roman rulers from ancient times are well known for their ability to coax their people into thinking a certain way through the use of convincing pieces of art. The Roman Empire was very troubled and its emperors are infamous for such things as lavish spending, unnecessary war, and even the killing of family members, and this begs the question: how were there so few large scale revolts of the Roman populous? The answer is the use of propaganda in popular Roman culture. On the Arch of Constantine a plethora of works depicting the triumphs of his predecessors can be seen, which he uses to his advantage, as if he was proposing the idea that he was as great as the other emperors. In fact, he even goes as far to replace the heads of the other emperors on the arch with his own like he was responsible for the many good deeds that they had done. One example of this is a relief where Hadrian is sacrificing an animal to Apollo and then hunting boar, except Hadrian s face is replaced by Constantine s. This stealing of works was probably a way to gain favor with the populous for himself as well as the next ruling emperor. All in all these two monuments to their respective patrons were highly effective pieces of propaganda that may have been responsible for a less rebellious empire. To look back upon the propaganda used by the Roman Empire, it seems particularly ingenious that they accomplished such a feat. To keep an empire with that many problems, problems that could undermine even the greatest leaders, relatively stable is astonishing. In conclusion, through propaganda in art that depicted victorious war campaigns, successful emperors and a halcyon family life the Rulers of ancient Rome were able to extend their respective time in power as well as increasing their already great ... To what extent are legal positivists and natural law theorists accurate in terms of the idea that an unjust law cannot be a valid law ? In this essay i will attempt to define the concept of the validity of law in relation to both natural law theorists and positivist theorists. For the purpose of this essay I will define validity of a law as Having legal force; effective or binding (The Free Dictionary). The main reason for the continual debate between both theories is that they are both very similar although they may appear to be at contrary ends of each spectrum. Natural law theorists believe that in order for a law to be valid it must have some moral principle therefore if laws which are enacted in statues have no authority, they are not moral. Whereas positivists support and emphasise the importance of a division between morality and law. I will begin by outlining both theories. I will then move onto asses the accuracy of the following statement, An unjust law cannot be a valid law this includes establishing the similarities and differences of both theories; in order to do this effectively it is essential that a thorough understanding of both theories has been developed. Finally I will summarise my findings, An unjust law cannot be a valid law true or false? The first question we need to address in order to be able to assess this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Traditionally, Hayoki participates in religious ceremonies where this particular ceremony involved the sacrificing of a dog, a seemingly foolish act done with great reverence to the thunder beings of the west, that not only demonstrates their faith, beliefs, and traditions but also keeps them connected to the spiritual realm. It s important to note that as inhumane as it may seem to Western cultures, this sacrifice was done in the most respectful way possible, as Lakota promotes the respect of mother earth and everything in it. What are some of the greatest security risks to a WAN? Provide an example of one risk and discuss the potential consequences and possible precautions. In my opinion the biggest security risk in a WAN is something that no one really ever thinks about and is the one exploited more then all of the other risks combined. That risk is the user. For example phishing scams from emails or WebPages steal user credentials every day. People believe if it has your networks logo on it that it is from your network. Another easy exploit on the user is Social Engineering. I have seen this actually happen in my ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As a research from International Journal of Business and Management about a company stopped its automatic salary increments says that the employees of the company were not happy with that scheme and the company tries to give training to them about that bonus scheme. So the company ordered all the HODs (Head of Departments) to educate their respective departments on the benefits of the new bonus scheme. After the training those employees get enough education about the new bonus system and they agreed to the new system. And they were motivated to work harder (Akinlolu Ayodeji Agboola amp; Rafiu Oyesola Salawu 2011). And because people become the most neurotic versions of themselves on their quest for true love, some individuals seeking affection begin to fetishize a particular race, and often times that race is Asian. Asian women are statistically the most fantasized about and sought after, yet their other half, Asian men, lack in comparison. The statistically proven gap in desirability for Asian men and women is linked to the physical and mental myths ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the most common myths pertaining to Asian males is that they lack a collective female favorite, machismo. This trait is frequently considered outlandish in terms of Asian males and is a characteristic most Latinos and Caucasians are believed to have. A big contributor to this disbelief is depicted trough the modern day media, where, most depictions of Asian males in the popular media are not the same as their Caucasian counterparts. (Chan The 11 Differences Between Dating an Asian Guy vs a Caucasian Guy ). An example would be Jackie Chan, who is rarely shown as a hunky or virile star of the show. This unruly problem has also occurred throughout all of Hollywood whereas the subordinate roles that Asian men acquire are commonly presented in a non appealing fashion. These stereotypes that media projects are Asian American men as sidekicks who serve as comic relief, who are extremely nervous or silent around girls, are short and deeply accented, and sidekick samurai warriors (Sun, 4 Lies We Need to Stop Telling About Asian American Men ). Since the media plays such a big role in what society tends to believe, Asian men are most likely opinionated as the perpetual foreigner who has a black belt in martial arts along with a doctorates degree in ...
