The Myers-Briggs Personality Test
It has been said that every human being has Personality Type and temperament that shape who they
are and determines their relationships at work, school, and home and with spouse. It goes further to
predict their future, sort of, with respect to our career and occupational choice, such as scientist,
thinkers, artist, and so on. So in this project I will be receiving my four letter type and two letter
Temperaments by completing the Myers Briggs Personality Test. It is not at all surprising that as
people of different characters, ideas, personalities, and sizes are sharing the same world, we need
something to make sense why we are the way we are, and the why psychological testing was invented
in 1927 to help in answering this questions. Based ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Ready Player One Thesis
Released in 2011, Ready Player One is ann interesting read about a young man struggling with the
fictional state of the world in the year 2044. The world is starving for resources, and the remaining
resources are slowly dwindling. Jobs are scarce in the real world, and the land between cities is barren
and desolate. Travelling between cities is dangerous, because there are gangs and raiders that attack
helpless travelers. The world is a unfriendly and harsh place, and most tend to avoid it. The majority
of the human race in this novel spend their time in a virtual reality device, called the OASIS. The
OASIS is a virtual reality software that uses a helmet and gloves, called a visor and haptic gloves, to
interact with the environment within the generated worlds. There is a main server that is divided into
27 sectors, similar to a Rubix Cube in shape, with sector 1 being the starting zone when you first log
in. Inside these sectors are a few hundred planets, which range from recreations of locations, to
completely fictional worlds. For the poor, an OASIS system is a godsend because it allows the poor to
escape their reality, and jump into another. For the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How Did Beethoven Change Music
Ludwig Van Beethoven, was the composer who changed music more than any other composer, the
sound of music and what the other composers that were to come after him thought. He wrote nine
symphonies, five piano concertos, an opera and many pieces of chamber music that jolted music right
out of itself. (Landon) Beethoven changed music by creating a new era called Romanticism,
influencing the other composers and changing the old methods by adding a special twist.
The first way that Beethoven changed music was by creating romanticism. Ludwig is viewed as the
most transitional figure between the eras of classical and romanticism of musical history. Even though
his first period was more conventional he grew tired of this and made his second time period ... Show

He took the old methods and twisted to match his style of thinking. As mentioned before, Ludwig used
a D major melody and a B minor harmony all at once. (Discuss) He then called this juxtaposed chords,
which were opposing the old idea where they generally did not mix minor and major chords. If he
changed the way chords were played, then obviously he changed music. Ludwig also influenced
Romantic composers by changing the ideas of programmatic writing. (Discuss) He changed the idea
of writing music from composing just to compose into actually creating a picture in the listeners mind.
Beethoven s Symphony Number Six was the first programmatic symphony where the music was
meant to paint a picture, compared to simply being a series of sounds. (Guthrie) The earlier works of
his period brought the Classical forms to the highest expressive point, expanded the formal, structural
and harmonic terms of his teachers Mozart and Haydn. (Guthrie) While he was influenced by his
teachers, he took their old ways and transformed them into a new version of thinking to help others
actually express themselves through the power of music. He changed the old methods into a new and
improved version. He held onto the old culture without wearing it

The Characteristics Of Masculinity In Apology And Homer s...
Over the course of time the interpretation of what it is to be a man has evolved. The dictionary
definition defines a man to be an adult human male , and no definite traits are mention. The idea of
being the stronger and smarter gender circulates the meaning of being manly, as well as contributes to
the characteristics of a hero, in narratives like Plato s Apology and Homer s Odyssey these attributes
are portrayed to emphasize the conventional features of masculinity. In the Apology, Socrates is being
put on trial for corrupting the young and not believing in the gods. Socrates indicates that he is not a
professional teacher by stating The fact is that there is nothing in any of these charges; and if you
heard anyone say that I try to educate people and charge a fee, there is no truth in that either though I
think that it is a fine thing if a man has the ability to teach, as in the case of Gogrias of Leontini,
Prodicus of Ceos, and Hippias of Elis. (Plato 42) Socrates utilizes a sense of logic that appeals to the
people of the jury to defend himself from the false accusations of people claiming he is a teacher
because only a teacher can teach likewise only a sailor can sail. Thus he cannot teach nor corrupt the
young by any means because he is unable to do so. Likewise being able to reason represents
characteristics of manliness, since men are consider to be intelligent and wise, using logic provides a
recognition of these aspects. Additionally Socrates

The British Position s Position On The Morality Continuum
A major difference between 1956 and the 1930s was the British position s position on the morality
continuum. The Anti Appeasement position championed by Churchill during the 1930s had aged very
well. By 1956 the horrors of world war two were still fresh memories for all adult Britons and
Churchill s historical writings seemed to cement this view.
At a time when the evils of imperialism were becoming more apparent and resented a great deal of
British pride was sourced from standing up to fascism in 1939 and ultimately winning.
Illegal, unilateral military intervention in Suez on the back of a legal nationalisation of a foreign
owned asset had all the hallmarks of a colonist power s show of strength. British national interest was
undoubtedly threatened by the loss of oil, spread of Arab nationalism and (more questionably) the
resulting spread of communism throughout the region but the moral high ground of a nation defending
itself against fascism was more difficult to conjure up.
By drawing parallels between (specifically) 1938 and the nationalization crisis a sense of moral
authority was gained.
Britain could no longer hope to act unilaterally with success. The support (active and passive) from
the commonwealth and the USA was no longer present.
Britain viewed Nasser as a reckless dictator who had potential to massively threaten western power in
the Middle East, the power of Britain and ultimately tip the balance in the cold war.
The decision not to pursue further

Abstract
Over many years there has been great debate about whether rehabilitation reduces the rate of
recidivism in criminal offenders. There has been great controversy over whether anything works to
reduce recidivism and great hope that rehabilitation would offer a reduction in those rates. In this
paper I will introduce information and views on the reality of whether rehabilitation does indeed
reduce recidivism. Proposed is a quasi experiment, using a group of offenders that received
rehabilitation services and an ex post facto group that did not? I intend to prove that rehabilitation

Cullen amp; Gendreau (2000). Cullen and Gendreau (2000). give us some history on the restorative
incarceration. The original theory of restorative justice was based on simple human behavior regulated
by incentive instead of punishment, which instituted the concept of parole as a means of reward for a
prisoner for rehabilitation. Further studies in criminology proved that this idea was too simplistic and
married it to the positivist theory of criminology and instituted individual assessment and treatment
for each prisoner based on their specific needs for reformation.
As Rothman (1980) and many others have pointed out, this ideal system was never implemented as
intended. Although the contours of the correctional system changed the juvenile court, indeterminate
sentencing, probation, parole, and discretion became integral features of this system the resources and
knowledge needed to provide effective treatment to offenders were in short supply. Cullen and
Gendreau (2000).
Cullen and Gendreau compare and contrast the many studies on this subject, the meta analyses
conclusions, their strengths, weaknesses, inconsistencies, and the trends that follow the studies of the
time. They offer their insight on effective corrections and individualizing treatments based on
predictors for crime and behavioral knowledge, as well as conclude that recidivism is reduced by
rehabilitation.

High Cost Of College Tuition Research Paper
Would you like to become a well educated person? Would you like to have a stable job? Would you
like to make enough money to be able to do leisure activities as you please? Do you want to be able to
support a family someday? All of this requires getting a higher education and attending college. The
already high and rising cost of tuition makes affording college extremely difficult for most people.
This expensive tuition has spiraling effects. These include high school graduates choosing to not
attend college, college graduates left in debt for many years, and a troubling effect on the economy. As
students graduate high school they are faced with the overwhelming decision of what to do next with
their life. As juniors in high school, you all have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This isn t surprising considering that the cost of college tuition has been been rising almost three times
as fast as inflation. When college students graduate, they are tied down by their debt and aren t able to
do anything with their life until they have paid it all off. Debt puts life on hold for these students.
Could you imagine moving back in with your parents at the age of 24 or 25 or maybe even closer to
your thirties? According to the American Student Assistance Survey, 27% of college graduates said
that they had no choice but to move back in with their parents to be able to afford the cost of living
with their student loans. In another survey, around 30% of graduates said they were delaying marriage
because of their immense amount of debt (Life Delayed: The Impact of Student Debt on the Daily
Lives of Americans). Could you imagine pushing the rest of your life off because you owed so much
money? How does that seem right? How are we supposed to make a decision between drowning in
debt or suffocating? Situations like this not only affect the graduates themselves, but also the economy

Cruelty, Neglect, And Neglect Of A Pet
Growing up, most kids wanted a pet. They wanted a dog, cat, fish, lizard, hamster, or even a bird.
Many parents saw this as a way to help teach their children responsibility. However, some parents
failed to teach their child how to treat and take care of their pet. Due to the lack of knowledge of how
to properly take care of and treat a pet, many pets have ended up abused and, in worst cases, dead.
Most people think that dog abuse is just beating their dog or putting them in a dog fight. Indiana has
laws against abandonment, neglect, and physical abuse of dogs, but some owners need to realize that
these laws are being broken by acts of unintentional abuse and since most acts of abuse are
unintentional there needs to be a way to educate people.
Another name for unintentional abuse is neglect. It results from a lack of knowledge of how to
properly train and take care of a pet. Some examples of unintentional abuse are: cruel shelter
environment, lack of food and or water, lack of veterinary care, depriving them of attention and love,
and a lack of recreational stimuli. Unfortunately, many of these people don t know that what they are
doing is cruel. For example, some may keep a dog in their yard with a doghouse that is on the ground
and gets flooded with water when it rains, or they keep their dog on a short chain all of the time
without realizing that the dog needs better shelter ( Information on Animal , n.d.). It seems that some
people abuse their pet because they

Steven Knight is a 27 year old male who has a long history of parasomnia. Since the age of 13 Stevens
parents had noticed he had begun both sleep walking and sleep talking. Mr. Knight was engaged to be
married on April 26, 2014 to his 26 year old wife to be Kelly Love. The day unfortunately never

Knights mother two weeks before the wedding, stating that she was noticing that his somnambulism
and somniloquy were starting to occur more frequently. When asked what Mr. Knight was saying
during his sleep talking, Miss Love stated that it was mostly nonsense, but he would mention the name

Miss Love, and acting violently towards her. Miss Love is soon thrown on the floor, and drug into the

to 911 operators from a frantic Mr. Knight, stating that his fiancé had been murdered in the middle of

the couples room, a bloody knife was discovered next to Miss Loves dead body. It was not until police
went through Mr. Knights computer that they found emails between him and Miss Lee showing a
romantic relationship that had started in approximately 2013. In emails sent to Mr. Knight months
before the wedding, it was obvious that Miss. Lee was becoming nervous about their relationship.

Analysis of Dream Deferred by Langston Hughes Essay
Dream Deferred
A dream is a goal in life, not just dreams experienced during sleep. Most people use their dreams as a
way of setting future goals for themselves. Dreams can help to assist people in getting further in life
because it becomes a personal accomplishment. Langston Hughes s poem Dream Deferred is speaks
about what happens to dreams when they are put on hold. The poem leaves it up to the reader to
decide what dream is being questioned.
In the opening of the poem the speaker uses a visual image that is also a simile to compare a dream
deferred to a raisin. Does it dry up/ like a raisin in the sun? The simile in the question is comparing a
dream deferred to raisin in the sun. Like a raisin, a dream deferred shrivels up ... Show more content

As you read further into the poem it allows you to develop a clearer understanding of what Hughes is
trying to express in the poem. It is stated that the dream may crust and sugar over like a syrupy
sweet? He is stating that by not using or putting the dream into use had formed into crust, which is that
hard material that is no longer useful because it is no longer pliable. The dream forced to sit idle
hardens into an unusable substance of thoughts that have separated themselves from the goals and
formed idle destructive thoughts that are crusted over with despair, doubt, anger, and hatred.
Langston Hughes s poem Dream Deferred is basically about what happens to dreams when they are
put on hold. Hughes probably intended for the poem to focus on the dreams of African American in
particular. However, it is just as easy to read the poem as being about dreams in general and what
happens when people postpone making them come true. What I got from the poem was that the longer
you put your dreams on hold, the more the dreams will change and the less likely they will come true.

exercise requires focus and willpower and the athletes are required to work at optimal levels

extreme sports offer, there are disadvantages. People do not understand the serious training involved
and place themselves in a dangerous situation which can involve injury or even death. A few examples
of these non mainstream sports include big wave surfing, BASE jumping, BMX riding, skydiving,

How can you know how worthwhile life is for anyone else if people are not giving the choice to live
with the greatest freedom possible. For many these extreme sports are the ultimate goodness that life
has to offer. As Socrates well understood that the unexamined life refers to a way of life lived by
routine under the established rules of others without the subject ever examining whether or not he or
she really wants to live with those rules or routines. According to Socrates, this type of life, had little
purpose, and was not worth living. Rather than an unexamined life, Socrates chose death.
Analogously, each person should be afforded the freedom to understand the training, discipline, and
risks involved with extreme sports. At the same time, each person should be allowed to make their
choices in participating in these extreme sports to achieve their greatest physical and psychological
challenge. For some, this is the beginning of a life deeply worth

The Harding Trust Essay
Case Study: Contingent pay at The Harding Trust
Introduction
In this essay, I shall make my evaluation on whether Performance Related Pay (PRP) should be
introduced to The Harding Trust (THT). The theoretical ideology of PRP will be looked at, as well as
the practical implications of the scheme. Factors of great importance, that may well determine the
impact of PRP on THT, will also be examined. Through my evaluation, I shall place a significant
focus on advantages and disadvantages of PRP as well as how they could affect THT. I will pay
special attention to the impact that PRP could make on employee performance and the overall
organization. All arguments and facts will be presented from organizational point of view as well as

A study conducted by ICP [1998] however claims that the majority of employees(74%) are likely to
improve performance as a result of PRP (reference 7)
Impact on Morale amp; Job Satisfaction
PRP might be considered as a scheme contributing to the creation of a challenging work environment
and allowing for career development where individuals are fairly recognized. The term fair relates to
the idea of each employee being rewarded in accordance with the individual efforts made .As such, the
system is likely to have a rather positive impact on morale amp; job satisfaction. However a number
of studies have shown signs of negativity towards PRP, mainly based on the way in which the scheme
is perceived by employees. Michelle Brown and John S. investigate the problem and make an
argument that employee s perception of PRP is often associated with the common opinion that the
scheme is unfair, gives way to favoritism and is often based on unrealistic goals (reference 8).
Formulating an opinion around these arguments, one would suggest that if PRP is perceived by THT
employees as being unfair, the introduction of the scheme would lead to decline in morale and job
satisfaction. It should be noted here that THT s current reward system does not bear similar risks as it

(Every Student Succeeds, n.d.) According to Klien (2015), there will be no role for the federal
government in teacher evaluation as well as elimination of using student outcomes as a portion of
teacher evaluation, and eliminating NCLB s highly qualified teacher component. The full impact of
ESSA will be highly speculated in near future and the true outcomes and implications will be
unknown for quite some time. However, returning some of the power back to the states themselves
and loosening up some of the one size fits all programs and requirements will allow states and local
districts to design more appropriate policies and programs to help students. It will certainly be
important for administrators, district personnel, and state officials to become well versed with the
changes in policy. ESSA still focuses on the task at hand for education, ensuring that all students have
an equal opportunity to learn and excel.

Examples Of Outcasts In Of Mice And Men
Some people are deemed too dangerous so they are shunned and kicked out of society. This now
makes them outcasts. In the book Wolf Children Ame and Yuki are are the outcasts. Society did not
want them because they are wolf children. In Of Mice And Men Lennie was the outcast. Society did
not want him because they thought he was not mentally stable enough to be in this world. Lennie,
Ame, and Yuki are all victims of society. This is because people just don t know enough about them to
know they can be good people.
There are a lot of things that make an outcast ,and one of the main reasons is their danger. To begin
Ame and Yuki would always howl and play. This shows the other people did not understand they were
just kids, the only difference with them is that they were half wolf. This really intimidated the rest of
society.Another thing is, people judge others harshly for the mistakes they make only because these
mistakes could affect or harm them. For example Lennie in Of Mice And Men killed Curley s wife.

wolves, even though he is one. This clearly show that he doesn t like himself because he thinks he is a

kicked out of his first job because he grabbed a girls skirt. He felt very guilty and thought he was a
horrible person because he caused so much trouble. This shows he doesn t like himself and that maybe
he even wishes to be different. He s not a bad person he just makes bad

Strategic Hrm And Strategic Management
02 The nature of strategic HRM 2.1 Identify the context of strategic HRM Strategic human resource
management is designed to help companies meet the needs of their employees while promoting
company goals. It requires thinking ahead, and planning ways for a company to better meet the needs
of its employees, and for the employees to better meet the needs of the company. 2.2 Evaluate the
interface between HRM and strategic management Strategic management involves the formulation
and implementation of the major goals and initiatives taken by a company s top management on
behalf of owners, based on consideration of resources and an assessment of the internal and external
environments in which the organization competes. Additionally, strategic HRM is the interface
between HRM and strategic management. It takes the notion of HRM as a strategic, integrated and
coherent approach and develops that in line with the concept of strategic management. 2.3 Analyse
models of strategic HRM HRM models provide an analytical framework for studying HRM.
Additionaly, they can establish variables and relationships to be researched, and are able to explain the
nature and significance of key HR. Two contrasting theories of HRM have been put forward as an
approach to tackle work force in a company that are called Hard HRM and Soft HRM. Storey (1989)
has distinguished between hard and soft forms of HRM, typified by the Michigan and Harvard models
respectively. Hard HRM focuses on the resource

The Transition Of Our Society Essay
The smooth transition of our society, from nomadic groups to vilages and states, resulted in the
development of religons, as a result of reformed social and political environments. Where it started of
as other wordly beliefs adopted by the small nomadic group and slowly developed into full blown
religions over time.
The earliest evidence of religon found in the world was in the Neolithic Period . The figurines found
from that period, along with the religious texts, reflect a society of religious people. In buddhism
religon, there are twenty five buddhas, each of whom is known as Dipankankara, with the last one
known as Guatama . There is also Maitreya who is the buddha for future. In Mahayana Buddhism,
there is a Buddha known as Manushi Buddha who is referred to as a human buddha and five to six
types of Dhyani Buddha known as mediation buddhas.Islam on the otherhand is a monotheistic
religon, where there is only God. He is referred to as Allah. the founder of islam, Prophet Hazrat
Mummad P.B.U.H. who is the last prophet.
Borobudur was constructed in 800 AD , at that time central Java was under the rule of Cailendra

the British company was reaping profits at the expense of the Iranian people. In 1951, due in part to
these beliefs, the country elected Mohammed Mossedegh as Prime Minister, who pushed to

Channel Estimation And Blocking Probability For Multi Hop...
The paper presents the design of channel estimation and blocking probability for multi hop wireless
communication network (MH WCN). This work proposed a bidirectional network coding 4−hop
transmission strategy and followed by 2N−hop WCNs. The proposed method follows two steps.
Firstly, assign composite channel coefficients at desired nodes and then derived the MSE performance
expression for the proposed LMMSE estimation scheme, and an optimal training scheme has been
designed to minimize MSE. Secondly, Fault tolerant wavelength assignment algorithm. This method
checks for the establishment of fault free path, when path established, assign a particular wavelength
to the established path. The experimental results shows the LMMSE, blocking probability and ML
estimators have demonstrated effectiveness to improve the estimation accuracy in 4−hop WCNs.

Brief Overview One of the most important facets for a successful business in the twenty first century
is how it communicates with their customers, partners, suppliers and governments from different
countries and cultures from around the world. For a business to operate with any modicum of success
in Japan, you must possess a basic understand of how their society functions. As a result of learning
about the geography, climate, history, religion, cultural rituals, politics, education system, and the role
of the family; it will allow a business or business person the insight needed to understand how society
functions and the method in which business is conducted. Geography Climate Japan is an island
nation that is located across the Japanese Sea. Japan consists of the islands of Hokkaiodo, Honshu,
Shikoku, and Kyushu (Yamada Kurashige, 2003). The landscape of Japan is seventy one percent

The Inferno Of Dante Alighieri
The Inferno of Dante Alighieri translated by Ciaran Carson, originally written by Dante himself is a
classical piece of literature. It is the first part of Dante s three part epic poem entitled, The Divine
Comedy . The Inferno of Dante Alighieri transports the reader into a gradual ride, going from an
familiar and earthly land, to descending the depths of Hell in the search of salvation. The imagery
conjured up while reading this book is plentiful as Dante s writing is impeccable. Naturally, with such
narrative content, later artists would look at this great work and become inspired themselves. A work I
would like to discuss is one by the Italian painter, Sandro Botticelli entitled, Dante and Beatrice in the
Stars . With support of Reading Dante s Stars a work by Alison Cornish, I feel that the stars as a motif
not in the Inferno played a significant role in establishing the setting and the ego of the self. I feel like
this Botticelli s work alters the meaning of Dante by giving us a visual mechanism to help us
understand Dante s experience in this world, which is dictated by the decisions made of these
individuals that are based upon the perversions of love or manifestations of God s love.
Dante in real life is caught in a tricky situation in his hometown of Florence. It is a time where there
are opposing political parties that cause great strife in his city which consequently banished him out.
The time where he wanders in real life is an obvious parallel to the

A Common Social Theme Of History
A common social theme of history is the constant battle of equal rights for both men and women. Ever
since the development of the first agricultural societies during the BC times, people have been living
in a society where paternalism and patriarchy dominated; men are always at the top of the social
hierarchy. Men were always the leaders, the priests, the ones who decide what was right and what was
wrong. Women have battled for equality with their male counterparts ever since then. They have
fought for their right to vote. They have fought for their right to speak at religious liturgies. They have
fought for their right to equal job and educational opportunities. Social equality between men and
women will always be a never ending ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yet, many have discovered that women can perform just as well as men. After serving in battle and
demonstrating noteworthy acts of bravery and performance under enemy fire, women have been
earning Combat Action Badges. Two women Sergeant Leigh Ann Hester and Specialist Monica Lin
Brown have received Silver Stars, one of the highest military decorations a person can receive
(Mackenzie). These women have been doing extraordinary work in the field, explaining why they
received such a high symbol of military respect. Their lack of strength does not inhibit their mentality
and physicality to do whatever they need to do to protect their country. Also, females who do enlist are
generally more fit than the average woman (Mackenzie). This is a common fallacy in the argument of
those who say women are not as fit as men and therefore are not as capable: they base their
assumptions on the ability of the average women while remaining oblivious to the ability of those who
actually enlist. Militaries across the world have found that with proper training, women can complete
the same tasks as men that require strength that many seem to say women lack (Mackenzie). During
the Gulf War, about 400,000 female soldiers fought and did not fail because of a lack of upper body
strength (Quindlen). Rather, 33,000 of those females directed artillery, flew planes, and served in
construction squads

Elven Friends
Once upon a time, there was a small village in the North Pole named Christmas Bear s Town. This
town was joyful, colorful. Everywhere you looked there was snow, candy canes and lights decorated
all the light posts that where lined up at the main road. The village had one of several Santa s
Workshops, a bakery, a place of gathering known as The Plaza , and the center of The Plaza there was
such a big Christmas tree that would go past the clouds, and the houses would be spread around in a
way that all the elves could see each and greet each other. Christmas Bear s Town inhabitants were
always joyful, positive, and friendly, but at the same time, they were respectful and responsible. They
all had pointy ears, silly pointy shoes, different hats with a bell at the top, and they all wore different
colors that would match their personality. The thing that made this village special, was that even
though everyone was different, this didn t stop them from being nice to each other.
One day the plaza was so much more lively than usual, the elves that lived in Christmas Bear s Town
were buzzing with excitement and whispering to each other that they heard there was a newcomer in
town! It was said that this newcomer was coming from the neighboring

The Basement At The End Of The World Essay
The basement at the bottom at the end of the world is a play written by Nadine Graham that portrays
an apocalyptic drama. In this play a young black woman named Daneen and a white man named Paul,
are thrown together in the rubble of civilization. They will have to attempt to bridge the differences
between them or their culture biases may keep them forever at each other s throats. The play takes
place in a basement that looks as if it were hit by an earthquake. Daneen, a teen black girl walks in
yelling hello? with a white rag doll in her hand. While in the basement, Daneen begins to look for
food when she was startled by Paul with a gun. From first sight, Daneen and Paul judged each other
based on stereotypes. At this point of the play both characters are full of uncertain with each other full
of biases toward each other that have been learned over their lives. The world is ending due to Earth

Crime is on the rise, which includes looting. Daneen insisted she was not looting, but in Paul s mind
black people steal. For example, the first things Paul says to Daneen is, Freeze! Who the hell are you
and what are you doing in my house? What are you, a looter? (231). In other words, without having
any information, Paul made up in his mind that she was a thief. This is important because it sets the
scene for the stereotypes to come. In return to Paul s quick judgement, Daneen stereotyped him as
being weak. This was shown when Daneen called his bluff and instead of freezing she turned to leave.
While Daneen was leaving, Paul shouts, Get back down here Now! Or I ll shoot, I swear to God!
(234). I believe Paul said this for several reasons. The first reason is because he felt territorial towards
his home. The last thing he wants is a looter disrespecting his home. In Paul s mind black people loot,
when he seen a black person (Daneen) he assumed that s what she was doing. Another reason I believe
he wanted Daneen to stay is because the

Kemal Ataturk s Advancement At Gallipoli
Mustafa Kemal Ataturk had a large impact on the Turkish advancement at Gallipoli. His superb
strategising directed the Turkish to take the heights of Gallipoli and banish the Anzacs into the sea.
This resulted in a fundamental increase to the position of the Turkish in World War One, and
incomparable damage to the Allied forces. As a result of Kemal s intuition, intelligence and
understanding of the art of war, the Turkish made a real advancement at Gallipoli and Kemal became a
national hero.

carries his image (Kemal), every village has a statue of him and to speak ill of his memory is against
the law (Carlyon. P). This displays the great respect and gratitude that Turkey has for Kemal s service
in the war. Harvey Broadbent, Gallipoli Campaign historian, specialist in Turkish, Anatolian, and

The Juche Ideology of North Korea Essay
Ideology can be looked at different perspectives of the way people think about it. Some people think
that ideology is bad, while some people think it is good. Ideology takes a very harmful way in
Christianity; Pope Francis explains to Christians that ideology drives away the church and the people.
In his perspective of mind, ideology is a serious illness. (Dolan) In some other places such as North
Korea, ideology is a dangerous belief system. North Koreans Ideology is most commonly referred as
Juche, this ideology is harmful to people because most people would like to praise people who do
good things, but in North Korea people have to pray to a dictator who is capable of killing, torturing,
and murdering his own people.

(Juche Religion)
Kim Il Sung created this dangerous belief system so that North Koreans would always obey him.
Before Dictatorship North Korea was an independent nation, it was a colony full of Christians. Kim Il
Sung noticed how Christians worshipped the Japanese ruler who ruled Korea. When North Korea
declared as a country, Kim Il Sung changed the form of Christianity and he declared himself as a God
so that North Korea will always praise and pray him. Christians revolted against this, so Kim Il Sung
annihilated most of them because he did not want his own people suspecting him of Juche and put lots
of people in concentration camps and they still reside there. (Juche Religion) Juche originated from
Marxism Leninism. Marxism Leninism was created by Karl Marx, some of the main points in this
ideology are that a communist party should be able to perform and play major roles in society. Some
other beliefs in Marxism Leninism are that modern capitalism should turn into imperialism.
(Piskunov) North Korea gained inspiration from Marxism Leninism, which is why this ideology is one
of the main ideologies that Juche originated. Some other ideologies that Juche originated were
Confucianism. Confucianism was developed in China by a man named Kong Qiu (Confucius). Kong
Qiu travelled across the country to spread his teachings, but at that time his beliefs was not popular
and some of his beliefs were how to do the right things in life. He

Twentieth Century Music Analysis
The twentieth century impacted human kind in ways that those alive before the year 1900 never could
have imagined. Those living during the final hundred years of the millennium saw incredible advances
in science and technology that elevated our quality of life to the standard we enjoy today. Like so
many other trades, the music industry benefited greatly from these new innovations. In turn, this new
technology altered the sound of music: changing how it was performed, recorded, and sold. Glenn
McDonald of Echo Nest tracked nine audio attributes across seventy years of music to identify trends
in music that were changing. What he found was music became less organic, less bouncy, and less
acoustic, while it gained accuracy, energy, sound, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is these new ways of producing or generating sound that appeal and gain credibility in the eyes of
the public that are responsible for the change in popular music. The growing trends in overall speed,
energy, noise level, and accuracy of the beat can be attributed to innovations such as the magnetic tape
recorder, electric guitar, synthesizer, and many others not listed in this paper. As a consequence of this
new technology, we lose some of the raw sound of the past like the blemishes that can be found in
older recordings and the slower and choppier sound of the popular music of yesterday. This sound is
sometimes recreated with things like acoustic covers to songs and albums, but it no longer dominates
pop charts. What has remained constant throughout the history of popular music is the profit oriented
approach the music industry takes in its production and promotion of

The Battle Of Defending The Red Army Essay
The date is August 15, 1942. 19 year old Alexei Petrov has been on edge for the last two days as
German forces continue to siege the city of Stalingrad. Alexei and 100,000 other soldiers of the Red
Army are tasked with the arduous mission of defending the city at all costs. Joseph Stalin has ordered
a no retreat policy, and made it clear that it is paramount to win the siege of Stalingrad. It has been a
year and a few months since the Germans invaded the Soviet Union and it seems as though nothing
could exacerbate the German advance. Alexei Petrov was born May 28, 1923, to a family of 2 sisters
in St. Petersburg. His father was a shopkeeper and his mother was a secretary. His family was not
wealthy, nor insolvent. A year and a half earlier, Alexei was working in his father s shop and was his
apprentice. He was a tall, muscular young man who was very athletic. Also, he had pale skin, with
light blue eyes, and dark brown hair. Alexei was an erudite young man, with a promising future.
Alexei had morals and was an honest young adult. He had no ambition of joining the army as he did
not condone killing a human being. However, in the summer of 1941, he was drafted just as most men
his age were. He had been fighting on the front lines for almost a year and had witnessed more tragedy
than anyone should have to in his/her whole life. By August of 1942 Alexei was no longer a fledgling
as he had been fighting for a year. He began the fight on the Soviet German border located in

What Is The Purpose Of The Book Of Genesis
That purchase of this cave has a clear symbolic meaning in Genesis, because it prefigures the taking of
possession by the Israelites of a territory where the patriarchs had once lived as foreigners. But, what
is the reason of book of Genesis? And how is the structure of such a book of revelations? One can find
that the entire book revolves around the reason for the blessing and the curse. The Lord chose the
nation through which he would bless all the nations. The promised blessing would give the nation of
Israel the patriarchs and their land. However, the curse would drive away, deprive, and disinherit Israel
from the patriarchs and their land. On one hand, the verb to bless means to enrich and here, God is the

Use Of Electronic Medical Records From Emergency...
Background
Most emergency care is delivered in Emergency Departments (ED), there were over 129 million ED
visits in the United States in 2010, and some of the most common reasons patients visit the ED is for
abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, headache and back pain (Mutter Clancy, 2014). Doctors and the
other healthcare providers in the ED use electronic medical records (EMRs), rapid blood/urine testing,
and diagnostic procedures such as; X ray, CT scan, MRI to decide if a patient requires inpatient or
outpatient care (Free et al., 2013). They also use other tools such as; telemetry, bedside sonography,
point of care tests, and clinical decision aids for quick decision (Free et al., 2013). The ED physician s
new mHealth technologies may allow more patients to receive the care at home that was once only
accessible in hospital (Manojlovich et al., 2015), and on that way they don t need to go to ED for
minor illness. mHealth is transforming the way people with chronic illness are retrieving and
evaluating information and communicating with their primary physician or other health professionals
(Free et al., 2013). Mobile technology can be utilized to remind patients to take their medication at
proper times, and it can assist patients record their health symptoms and send them to his/her primary
physicians and specialists electronically as needed (Manojlovich et al., 2015). Instead of waiting for
patients to understand that they have any abnormalities and visit their doctor,

Another problem for CCM is Skanson is currently the general manager, leading talent developer, and
the leading performer. Skanson spends a majority of his time on tour promoting his music, which
leads to little time for managing the company.
Distribution
Distribution channels are another problem for CCM. CD revenues generated from performances
accounted for approximately 85% of total sales in 2000. Wholesale revenues were approximately 6%
of total sales. Direct mail sales accounted for approximately 6% of sales, while online sales accounted
for a mere 3% of sales. CCM recognized that the price its wholesalers were charging chain stores was
preventing its music from entering the market.
Financial
Financially, CCM is in distress. The company realized a net profit of $20,626.70 in 1998, but despite
additional sales growth and additional years of experience, the company only realized $4,292.00 in net
income in 2000. The company s gross profit increased steadily form 1997 to 2000, but expenses have
also increased steadily.
Technology
CCM isn t technologically up to date. The company is currently operated out of a large rental house. If
CCM wants to grow and attract potential artists and employees, the company should move into a
facility equipped to handle a record label. If CCM wants to be considered a reputable record label, it
needs to have all the amenities of a recording studio. For

  • 2. The Myers-Briggs Personality Test It has been said that every human being has Personality Type and temperament that shape who they are and determines their relationships at work, school, and home and with spouse. It goes further to predict their future, sort of, with respect to our career and occupational choice, such as scientist, thinkers, artist, and so on. So in this project I will be receiving my four letter type and two letter Temperaments by completing the Myers Briggs Personality Test. It is not at all surprising that as people of different characters, ideas, personalities, and sizes are sharing the same world, we need something to make sense why we are the way we are, and the why psychological testing was invented in 1927 to help in answering this questions. • 3. Ready Player One Thesis Released in 2011, Ready Player One is ann interesting read about a young man struggling with the fictional state of the world in the year 2044. The world is starving for resources, and the remaining resources are slowly dwindling. Jobs are scarce in the real world, and the land between cities is barren and desolate. Travelling between cities is dangerous, because there are gangs and raiders that attack helpless travelers. The world is a unfriendly and harsh place, and most tend to avoid it. The majority of the human race in this novel spend their time in a virtual reality device, called the OASIS. The OASIS is a virtual reality software that uses a helmet and gloves, called a visor and haptic gloves, to interact with the environment within the generated worlds. There is a main server that is divided into 27 sectors, similar to a Rubix Cube in shape, with sector 1 being the starting zone when you first log in. Inside these sectors are a few hundred planets, which range from recreations of locations, to completely fictional worlds. • 4. How Did Beethoven Change Music Ludwig Van Beethoven, was the composer who changed music more than any other composer, the sound of music and what the other composers that were to come after him thought. He wrote nine symphonies, five piano concertos, an opera and many pieces of chamber music that jolted music right out of itself. (Landon) Beethoven changed music by creating a new era called Romanticism, influencing the other composers and changing the old methods by adding a special twist. The first way that Beethoven changed music was by creating romanticism. Ludwig is viewed as the most transitional figure between the eras of classical and romanticism of musical history. Even though his first period was more conventional he grew tired of this and made his second time period ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He took the old methods and twisted to match his style of thinking. As mentioned before, Ludwig used a D major melody and a B minor harmony all at once. (Discuss) He then called this juxtaposed chords, which were opposing the old idea where they generally did not mix minor and major chords. If he changed the way chords were played, then obviously he changed music. Ludwig also influenced Romantic composers by changing the ideas of programmatic writing. (Discuss) He changed the idea of writing music from composing just to compose into actually creating a picture in the listeners mind. Beethoven s Symphony Number Six was the first programmatic symphony where the music was meant to paint a picture, compared to simply being a series of sounds. (Guthrie) The earlier works of his period brought the Classical forms to the highest expressive point, expanded the formal, structural and harmonic terms of his teachers Mozart and Haydn. (Guthrie) While he was influenced by his teachers, he took their old ways and transformed them into a new version of thinking to help others actually express themselves through the power of music. He changed the old methods into a new and improved version. He held onto the old culture without wearing it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Characteristics Of Masculinity In Apology And Homer s... Over the course of time the interpretation of what it is to be a man has evolved. The dictionary definition defines a man to be an adult human male , and no definite traits are mention. The idea of being the stronger and smarter gender circulates the meaning of being manly, as well as contributes to the characteristics of a hero, in narratives like Plato s Apology and Homer s Odyssey these attributes are portrayed to emphasize the conventional features of masculinity. In the Apology, Socrates is being put on trial for corrupting the young and not believing in the gods. Socrates indicates that he is not a professional teacher by stating The fact is that there is nothing in any of these charges; and if you heard anyone say that I try to educate people and charge a fee, there is no truth in that either though I think that it is a fine thing if a man has the ability to teach, as in the case of Gogrias of Leontini, Prodicus of Ceos, and Hippias of Elis. (Plato 42) Socrates utilizes a sense of logic that appeals to the people of the jury to defend himself from the false accusations of people claiming he is a teacher because only a teacher can teach likewise only a sailor can sail. Thus he cannot teach nor corrupt the young by any means because he is unable to do so. Likewise being able to reason represents characteristics of manliness, since men are consider to be intelligent and wise, using logic provides a recognition of these aspects. Additionally Socrates ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The British Position s Position On The Morality Continuum A major difference between 1956 and the 1930s was the British position s position on the morality continuum. The Anti Appeasement position championed by Churchill during the 1930s had aged very well. By 1956 the horrors of world war two were still fresh memories for all adult Britons and Churchill s historical writings seemed to cement this view. At a time when the evils of imperialism were becoming more apparent and resented a great deal of British pride was sourced from standing up to fascism in 1939 and ultimately winning. Illegal, unilateral military intervention in Suez on the back of a legal nationalisation of a foreign owned asset had all the hallmarks of a colonist power s show of strength. British national interest was undoubtedly threatened by the loss of oil, spread of Arab nationalism and (more questionably) the resulting spread of communism throughout the region but the moral high ground of a nation defending itself against fascism was more difficult to conjure up. By drawing parallels between (specifically) 1938 and the nationalization crisis a sense of moral authority was gained. Britain could no longer hope to act unilaterally with success. The support (active and passive) from the commonwealth and the USA was no longer present. Britain viewed Nasser as a reckless dictator who had potential to massively threaten western power in the Middle East, the power of Britain and ultimately tip the balance in the cold war. The decision not to pursue further ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Kimbrell Kaplan University CJ499 01P: Bachelors Capstone in Criminal Justice (P) Barbara Mitchell June 16, 2010 Abstract Over many years there has been great debate about whether rehabilitation reduces the rate of recidivism in criminal offenders. There has been great controversy over whether anything works to reduce recidivism and great hope that rehabilitation would offer a reduction in those rates. In this paper I will introduce information and views on the reality of whether rehabilitation does indeed reduce recidivism. Proposed is a quasi experiment, using a group of offenders that received rehabilitation services and an ex post facto group that did not? I intend to prove that rehabilitation services do ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cullen amp; Gendreau (2000). Cullen and Gendreau (2000). give us some history on the restorative incarceration. The original theory of restorative justice was based on simple human behavior regulated by incentive instead of punishment, which instituted the concept of parole as a means of reward for a prisoner for rehabilitation. Further studies in criminology proved that this idea was too simplistic and married it to the positivist theory of criminology and instituted individual assessment and treatment for each prisoner based on their specific needs for reformation. As Rothman (1980) and many others have pointed out, this ideal system was never implemented as intended. Although the contours of the correctional system changed the juvenile court, indeterminate sentencing, probation, parole, and discretion became integral features of this system the resources and knowledge needed to provide effective treatment to offenders were in short supply. Cullen and Gendreau (2000). Cullen and Gendreau compare and contrast the many studies on this subject, the meta analyses conclusions, their strengths, weaknesses, inconsistencies, and the trends that follow the studies of the time. They offer their insight on effective corrections and individualizing treatments based on predictors for crime and behavioral knowledge, as well as conclude that recidivism is reduced by rehabilitation. Would you like to make enough money to be able to do leisure activities as you please? Do you want to be able to support a family someday? All of this requires getting a higher education and attending college. The already high and rising cost of tuition makes affording college extremely difficult for most people. This expensive tuition has spiraling effects. These include high school graduates choosing to not attend college, college graduates left in debt for many years, and a troubling effect on the economy. • 9. Cruelty, Neglect, And Neglect Of A Pet Growing up, most kids wanted a pet. They wanted a dog, cat, fish, lizard, hamster, or even a bird. Many parents saw this as a way to help teach their children responsibility. However, some parents failed to teach their child how to treat and take care of their pet. Due to the lack of knowledge of how to properly take care of and treat a pet, many pets have ended up abused and, in worst cases, dead. Most people think that dog abuse is just beating their dog or putting them in a dog fight. Indiana has laws against abandonment, neglect, and physical abuse of dogs, but some owners need to realize that these laws are being broken by acts of unintentional abuse and since most acts of abuse are unintentional there needs to be a way to educate people. Another name for unintentional abuse is neglect. It results from a lack of knowledge of how to properly train and take care of a pet. Some examples of unintentional abuse are: cruel shelter environment, lack of food and or water, lack of veterinary care, depriving them of attention and love, and a lack of recreational stimuli. Unfortunately, many of these people don t know that what they are doing is cruel. For example, some may keep a dog in their yard with a doghouse that is on the ground and gets flooded with water when it rains, or they keep their dog on a short chain all of the time without realizing that the dog needs better shelter ( Information on Animal , n.d.). • 11. Analysis of Dream Deferred by Langston Hughes Essay Dream Deferred A dream is a goal in life, not just dreams experienced during sleep. Most people use their dreams as a way of setting future goals for themselves. Dreams can help to assist people in getting further in life because it becomes a personal accomplishment. Langston Hughes s poem Dream Deferred is speaks about what happens to dreams when they are put on hold. The poem leaves it up to the reader to decide what dream is being questioned. In the opening of the poem the speaker uses a visual image that is also a simile to compare a dream deferred to a raisin. Does it dry up/ like a raisin in the sun? The simile in the question is comparing a dream deferred to raisin in the sun. Like a raisin, a dream deferred shrivels up ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As you read further into the poem it allows you to develop a clearer understanding of what Hughes is trying to express in the poem. It is stated that the dream may crust and sugar over like a syrupy sweet? He is stating that by not using or putting the dream into use had formed into crust, which is that hard material that is no longer useful because it is no longer pliable. The dream forced to sit idle hardens into an unusable substance of thoughts that have separated themselves from the goals and formed idle destructive thoughts that are crusted over with despair, doubt, anger, and hatred. Langston Hughes s poem Dream Deferred is basically about what happens to dreams when they are put on hold. Hughes probably intended for the poem to focus on the dreams of African American in particular. However, it is just as easy to read the poem as being about dreams in general and what happens when people postpone making them come true. What I got from the poem was that the longer you put your dreams on hold, the more the dreams will change and the less likely they will come true. Bibliography: Barksdale, Richard. The term fair relates to the idea of each employee being rewarded in accordance with the individual efforts made .As such, the system is likely to have a rather positive impact on morale amp; job satisfaction. However a number of studies have shown signs of negativity towards PRP, mainly based on the way in which the scheme is perceived by employees. Michelle Brown and John S. investigate the problem and make an argument that employee s perception of PRP is often associated with the common opinion that the scheme is unfair, gives way to favoritism and is often based on unrealistic goals (reference 8). Formulating an opinion around these arguments, one would suggest that if PRP is perceived by THT employees as being unfair, the introduction of the scheme would lead to decline in morale and job satisfaction. The paper presents the design of channel estimation and blocking probability for multi hop wireless communication network (MH WCN). This work proposed a bidirectional network coding 4−hop transmission strategy and followed by 2N−hop WCNs. The proposed method follows two steps. Firstly, assign composite channel coefficients at desired nodes and then derived the MSE performance expression for the proposed LMMSE estimation scheme, and an optimal training scheme has been designed to minimize MSE. Secondly, Fault tolerant wavelength assignment algorithm. This method checks for the establishment of fault free path, when path established, assign a particular wavelength to the established path. The experimental results shows the LMMSE, blocking probability and ML estimators have demonstrated effectiveness to improve the estimation accuracy in 4−hop WCNs. It is the first part of Dante s three part epic poem entitled, The Divine Comedy . The Inferno of Dante Alighieri transports the reader into a gradual ride, going from an familiar and earthly land, to descending the depths of Hell in the search of salvation. The imagery conjured up while reading this book is plentiful as Dante s writing is impeccable. Naturally, with such narrative content, later artists would look at this great work and become inspired themselves. A work I would like to discuss is one by the Italian painter, Sandro Botticelli entitled, Dante and Beatrice in the Stars . With support of Reading Dante s Stars a work by Alison Cornish, I feel that the stars as a motif not in the Inferno played a significant role in establishing the setting and the ego of the self. Joseph Stalin has ordered a no retreat policy, and made it clear that it is paramount to win the siege of Stalingrad. It has been a year and a few months since the Germans invaded the Soviet Union and it seems as though nothing could exacerbate the German advance.
