The Wrath of the Great Depression
The Great Depression had cause the nation to change, and the theme behind the story of the Grapes of
Wrath . John Steinbeck, an American author, wrote a story about the families during the Great
Depression. The theme of the story behind it contains: family, wrath, community, and etc. The families
of the Grapes of Wrath had suffered and went through a lot of troubles just to survive another day. The
Joads are the family in the story that symbolizes the families in the Great Depression.

The Great Depression had caused much suffering for people and there is also the Dust Bowl which
happened during the depression due to soil erosion caused by abandoned farms and the soil which was
left to erode and become dust in the wind (Sealey Morris 2). During the Great Depression people
known as Okies, that came from the Dust Bowl affected areas, are moving towards west just to get out
the Dust Bowl, and just like the Joads in the Grapes of Wrath , they settle in places called Hooverville
camps (Hinton 2). The situation of the people during this time period was very horrendous, some
starve to death, and some may just have high hopes of seeing another day. Okies are people who work
together to survive during the Great Depression, they are a united community (Sobel 2). The
community of Okies sometimes may be connected through blood, but most are not. People in the
community may sometimes be in unions (Sobel 2). The hostile environment did not stop people from
having hopes of seeing another beautiful day with their family (Brown 50). The Great Depression
would teach people how we were helped by people like John

Psychology and the Media Essay
The Image of Psychology through the Eyes of the Media
Abstract
Psychology can be presented by the media in forms such as magazine or newspaper articles, and the
most popular today is through commercials watched on TV. Psychology is presented in a form of
science today compared to what it was viewed as in the late 1800s and onto the 1900s. It is more of a
science nature because viewers have to think about the meaning of the article or commercial to
understand the message that is being presented. Then, psychology was viewed as a form or common
sense. Psychology was never really looked at as a science but rather as philosophy in the 1980s. The
public was often confused with the subject of psychology because it was always ... Show more content

In the 1980s the federal government doubted psychology as a science and a profession... The
government stated that it was a way of promoting human welfare (Ludy, 1986, p. 941). But, rather
than psychology being looked at as philosophy, two students wanted to switch the views of
psychology to being more scientifically related. James MKeen Cattell and Harry Kirke Wolfe were the
first two Americans to receive their degrees with the help of Wihem Wundt (Ludy, 1986, p. 941). The
two students thought deeply of their work and strongly believed that psychology would be the next big
science in the media within the next thirty years. The media presents hidden messages that the
common person many not always see, but the brain processes the information and triggers a reaction
based on the viewers own thoughts. After watching many commercials on TV, social and cognitive
psychology both come into play. Social psychology is when a person can select from his or her
memory on a past situation that he or she has read or watched and can then reacts accordingly. After
viewing many commercials some of the commercials tend to clash together by presenting the same
message. When the viewer remembers seeing or hearing something specific from a commercial, the
brain automatically reacts by thinking, I ve heard about this before. Cognitive psychology is when the
viewers are watching a commercial that may come off violent and then the viewers

Examples Of Polite Language In The Giver
Just for a second, imagine a world without war, conflict or grief. Refreshing, right? But it s also a
world without memory, feelings and color, at least in the premise of Lois Lowry s, The Giver. It was
published by HarperCollins in 1993, it shares the same motive of a perfect and utopian society. What
is a perfect society? Is it where people have to be uniform to each other? What is the point having such
a life where you cannot make your own choices?, you cannot have feelings or unable to live with your
own biological parents. There is one thing about the community in the giver, it is very well organized
and no possible war. This is because each member of the community is trained to be polite from
childhood. So therefore everyone uses polite language, we call it Euphemism ... Show more content

Daniel Voshart Frame 394 Essay
When the Canadian Daniel Voshart saw the shaky cell phone video of a white police officer in South
Carolina, shooting a black man in the back eight times, he couldn t look away. Waves of disgust
washed over him as Walter Scott fell to the ground. This was his motive for analyzing every frame in
the video, and then he stumbled across Frame 394. This frame changed the entire case, because it
showed that the police officer was innocent. The documentary, Frame 394, followed Daniel Voshart
and his journey of him getting entangled in one of America s most high profile police shootings. The
documentary, Frame 394, shows that people often judge without knowing all the details. This is, after
all, what Voshart, the people who watched the video and the audience had done.
First of all, in the documentary even Daniel Voshart judged without knowing the details. At first
Voshart thought the police officer was guilty and was enraged by what he did. He even stabilized the
cell phone video and posted it on Reddit, but after a few weeks, he changed his opinion. Because
when Daniel Voshart investigated the video and had found new evidence against his initial judgement,
he realized that he judged too fast and had to change his judgement. Daniel later posted a video of his
new evidence on Reddit, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

This does not only happen on the internet, but also on the news and in documentaries. This way

2. Porter explicitly refuses to factor the role of the state in determining the role of competitiveness of a
nation. Porter sees the state as an influencer to the four primary determinants as depicted in Porter s
National Diamond.
Gershenkron Theory of late development makes for this lacuna in Porters diamond. The theory of Late
Development holds that latecomer nations adopt a different pathway to development distinct from
early industrialised nations. Indeed the state can act as a substitute to both demand conditions and
factor conditions.
Japan is a case in point. The government and the bank of Japan Instituted a convoy system where
banks were encouraged to finance large scale capital intensive industries. The banks taking risks to

Conservation of Endangered Marsupials Essay
Conservation of Endangered Marsupials
Marsupials are creatures that are a very unique group of mammals. Many creatures are becoming
threatened, and some have already become extinct. Threatened marsupials could be a pool of
agricultural, medicinal, or genetic wealth that we do not yet have the technology to utilize. There are
many methods to conserving these genetic pools; one of which is through reproduction manipulation.
Artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and nuclear transfer are ways in which marsupials can be
conserved if proper adjustments are made. Special considerations for artificial insemination of
marsupials include equipment for collection and distribution, freezing, cryoprotectant and storage, and
seasonality ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Temple Smith (2003), over 40 marsupial species in Australia need immediate attention
of conservational science. Many methods to conserving these genetic pools are already being utilized;
one of which is reproductively. Artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and nuclear transfer are ways
in which marsupials can be conserved if proper adjustments are made. With proper knowledge and
experience of reproductive systems and methods, such conservation can take place.
Basic Methods
The basic methods that are practically used in commercial agriculture facilities have to be efficient.
Conservation of threatened species techniques has to take the same cues as the commercial facilities.
The tried and true method of artificial insemination is getting more and more advanced to include
smaller and more exotic species. Embryo Transfer is a technology that is a little newer but has good
success rates. And finally nuclear transfer, sometimes called cloning, methods may soon become an
option for saving severely endangered and maybe even extinct animals.
Artificial insemination has come a long way. Originally, a fresh sample of semen was placed
surgically directly into the uterus of the female. Obviously, there were a few drawbacks to this
method. Firstly, having a fresh supply of semen meant there had to be a male in close proximity to
collect semen. Next the change of temperature was too

When using Snort IDS, there are several modes that if configured properly, will generate alerts. Alerts
are set by the user within the command prompt when initiating a rule set. There are five alerting
options available with Snort IDS. According to (Roesch, 1999), Alerts may either be sent to syslog,
logged to an alert text file in two different formats, or sent as Win Popup messages using the Samba

5. What are the advantages of using rule sets from the snort web site?
There are several advantages of using the existing rule sets already created on the Snort web site. One
advantage of using the existing rules is that they have been created to work effectively against the
common vulnerabilities. Creating your own rule sets require a working knowledge of Snort and
having the outcome of the created rule may not yield the desired effect that the administrator is
seeking.
6. Describe (in plain English) at least one type of rule set you would want to add to a high level
security network and why?
A rule set that I would add to a high level network would be an app detect rule. With this rule the
traffic that occurs in various applications that deal with the network would be controlled. This is
especially important because if an application within the network is compromised, it could be utilized
to gain access to the network.
7. If a person with malicious intent were to get into your network and have read/write access to your
IDS log or rule set how could they use that information to their advantage?
If someone with malicious intent was to gain read/write access to your IDS log or rule set, they could
use that information to determine how your IDS was configured. Especially if detailed logging is set

How To Write An Essay About The Alchemist
The bestseller novel The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is known by many people for its valuable lessons
and ideas. However, I am not one of these people as I am not fond of this book.
Opinion: The Alchemist uses elements of magical fantasy that aren t familiar to me, thrilling and
action packed events are not present, and I do not agree with some of the lessons that the book
portrays.
Components of magical fantasy are used in the novel that I don t understand. Omens, Universal
Languages, and mysterious forces aren t principles that I consider in my daily life and therefore they
aren t familiar to me. For example, Santiago uses Omens as signs that guide him throughout life.
Omens are not a concept that I have learned about until reading this novel. These signals do not make
much sense to me, seeming much too coincidental to be real. Santiago also connects things in his life
through Universal Languages, such as the desert and the caravan. However, a language that is
universal or a language between inanimate things doesn t exist in real life, making it hard for a reader
to imagine such a thing. Finally, in the novel, there are mysterious forces that teach people of their
personal legends, such as the King was to Santiago. It does make sense for people to realize their
dreams and goals through experiences or people. This isn t the case always in the novel, instead,
specific forces inform people of their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

1. Objective
To undertake a critical review of the current product check and release processes to ensure a robust,
high quality and safe product approval system is in place to safeguard patient safety and to ensure

2. Background
The aseptic preparation of products at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust
(NLAG) is carried out in an unlicensed unit under Section 10 exemption of the Medicines Act 1968.

It provides a proposed product approval/Pharmacist supervision model that has been attached in
Appendix 1.
Final product accuracy check and release at NLAG is undertaken by the Authorised Pharmacist
(usually band 7 or above). The Authorised Pharmacist also undertakes the clinical checks/screening of
the prescriptions. It has been discussed that undertaking these checks by different pharmacists will add
an extra safety check in the process and there is a plan for separation of these roles in the near future.
The plan is to have a Clinical Pharmacist undertaking the clinical checks in the clinical area and an
Authorised Pharmacist in the Aseptic Unit undertaking the product check and approval (release).
Another proposal has been suggested following this analysis.
There are some concerns regarding separation of the roles as the staff who may be involved in
approving products (band 6 pharmacists) have a lack of knowledge and skills in aseptics. There is also
a need for cost effective working and flexibility within the service, including appropriate skill mix.
This all emphasises a requirement for this critical analysis to ensure that a robust product check and
release is undertaken.
Although errors in the preparation of injectable medicines within pharmacy aseptic environments are

Chromosomes contain genetic information that is passed down from the parents to the child. The
possibility of a mistake during cell division rise as a woman ages, therefore; the chances of
chromosomal dysfunction increases. All genetic abnormalities increase as the egg gets older. (Cohen,
and Bonifield) Each female is born with a certain amount of eggs, these eggs do not multiply and you
cannot add more. During each menstrual period a female loses one of her eggs, and these cannot be
replaced. As a female gets older so does her eggs, therefore, during the division of cells it leaves a lot
of room for mistake. If the chromosome pair does not split and separate the egg will have 24
chromosomes not the 23 that are needed. The difference of only one chromosome can change the faith
of the child from being normal to having down syndrome. In the 1st trimester miscarriages occur
because of chromosomal abnormality in the fetus. ( Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia ) As a result,
older woman have a much higher chance at some chromosomal disorder when they are having

Racial segregation in the United States continued even after the Civil War, in the form of laws

people in the performing arts pushed their audiences to reconsider their prejudices and assumptions
regarding classification and disparate treatment of people based on race. Broadway s and Hollywood s

Hip Hop Is A Genre Of Music
Music has always been one of the ways that people use to express the connection between their
feelings and the outside world with melody, rhythm and sound. There are different genres and many
kinds of music from different places and different nationality. Hip hop is a cultural movement that
emerged in the 1970s in the United States among Latin Americans, Jamaicans and African American
that aimed to protest the social conflicts and violence suffered by the lower classes of urban society.
Hip Hop is a genre of music that has significantly grown the last couple of decades. Since the music

characteristics and self importance among many nations that it has been facilitating the evolution of
music, and it has also been one of the motivations for new musical genres. The hip hop music emerged

social problems such as poverty, violence, racism, drug trafficking, lack of infrastructure and

that changed the shape of the whole industry. Until that period of time, there were not any film star or
actor who had successfully redesigned comedy. But the base of the American motion was to undergo a
huge change. The scenario completely changed with the advent of three heavyweights of that era

Keaton had become a household and prominent name during the era of silent films. His first

awarded his own production company titled Buster Keaton Comedies. He starred in short films like
One Week (1920), The Playhouse (1921), Cops (1922), and The Electric House (1922). His acting was
acknowledged and gained appraisal from both audiences and critics. Then he decided to return back to
the feature films again. He starred in several acclaimed and renowned films like Our Hospitality
(1923), The Navigator (1924), Sherlock Jr. (1924), Seven Chances (1925), The General (1926),
Steamboat Bill Jr. (1928), and The Cameraman (1928). All of his films were unique and astonishing in
their own sense. Keaton impressed the audience with the consistency of stoic and deadpan
expressions. His expressions were as beautiful and as inhuman as a butterfly. There was hardly any
actor who used the method of expressionism with such high accuracy. He took this skill to a whole
new level. Most of his career progressed without any interruption. This clearly shows the passion and
dedication Keaton had for films. He was famous for his physical comedy. He was willing to sacrifice
his own safety for the sake of the film. The wide range of emotions he used was simply outstanding
and stunning. No one could take anything away from Keaton. He thought, produced and wrote his
own gags. He was also interested in depicting influencing incidents like he did in The General. This
film, depicting scenes of the Civil War, is arguably the best comedy film ever made. His use of parody
in multiple films represents his genius and his flexibility. He was not startled by anything. The rigid
look on his face, the reposed characteristic dignified his persona. He used the strategy of immediate

Personal Bias In Research
Facts are statements that are indisputably true. Truthful statements are authentic because they are
widely accepted to be accurate and fit reality. When answering the question given access to the same
facts , how is it possible that there can be disagreements between experts in a discipline? , one must
consider the definition of an expert. For the sake of this paper I am defining an expert as someone who
excels in their field , and constantly evolves their knowledge as their field progresses. I believe that
disagreements between experts when presented with the same facts, occur because of bias. Bias is a
sway towards one side or view of a situation or statement. Therefore I ask , how does someone s
personal bias affect their interpretation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Faith is a complete trust in a principal or being without proof of existence. Religious experts are often
those who lead organized worship such as bishops, rabbis , imams, monks, and more. They are often
taught by programs that are created by fellow religious leaders. In these programs, the students are
taught the teachings of the religion, often based on a religious text. Religious texts are known to be
passed down, and therefore modified through the ages by those who believed that the stories should be
amended or represent something different. While a pastor of a methodist church and a preacher of a
baptist church consult the same texts, the denominations differ in interpretation. This is due to the way
each denomination or church leader presents their version of the

Why Dogs Are Better Pets Than Cats
Why Dogs are The Best I believe Dogs are better pets than cats. I have owned three dogs and many of
my relatives own dogs. Although dogs take more time and money, they are overall still better pets.
More United States households own a dog, than cats. Cats cough up fur balls. Dogs are good listeners
and are fun to play with. Just think about it with a dog you don t have deal with a litter box. Dogs are
really good listeners, you can tell your dog a secret and they won t tell anyone else. They are also good
companions, they are good for someone who lives by themselves. Dogs can help firemen, police, FBI,

Bbc Technology Challenges
Technological Challenges
Technology is one of the few areas where the BBC has been ahead of the curve over the past decade.
BBC iPlayer was launched in 2007, and it was one of the first available streaming services, the BBC s
rivals subsequently launched 4oD, ITV player and demand 5.
iPlayer has been a massive success, and it will soon account for 10% of all UK web traffic, however
the success of iPlayer has led to the BBC s rivals extending to not only ITV and Sky, but also to
Netflix and Amazon, who also produce their own content.
iPlayer remains however problematic for the BBC, as viewers currently don t need a licence to watch
television on catch up through the service. In an era in which people increasingly watch less content

The BBC needs to produce content which will not only be watched and rewatched in Britain, but
which can also be sold abroad. This will also help the BBC to supplement its income.
It is also becoming highly apparent that the public no longer trust the BBC to the extent that they used
to, regaining that trust is vital if the BBC wishes to remain one of the stalwarts of british journalism.
The BBC s approach to technology is one of the few areas in which they are not only on the right
track, but in which they actually seem to be ahead of the curve, the internet is increasingly becoming
the most popular way to watch content, and by putting all of its content online, the BBC is ensuring
that they are able to compete with streaming giants such as Netflix and Amazon.
Finally the BBC has also been faced with accusations of a liberal bias both from within, and outside of
the corporation, this means that the BBC is already on the wrong foot when negotiating the renewal of
its charter, and that negotiations with the government may be far more difficult, but not

Same Sex, Same Love
Same sex, Same love Homosexuality is the same kind of love as heterosexuality. Same sex couples
should have access to the same benefits enjoyed as any other couples since it s recognize as a human
right. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis made a song for supporters in reference to the February 2012 bill
that would legalize same sex marriage in the state(s). Same Love by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis
portray a rap song that explicitly defends same sex love by calling out hip hop s history of
homophobia and eliminate the injustice involving same sex couples. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis is
an American hip hop duo from Seattle, Washington formed in 2009. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis
teamed up with Mary Lambert, a talented poet and songwriter. This song mainly talks about a personal
story. The video, spanning decades from childhood to old age, depicts the life of the main character
and the same sex partner with whom he falls in love, including the social conflicts in their path of
being in love due to their difference because of sexual orientation. The three display through music to
show their support for civil rights and marriage equality through unapologetic discussion of the
intolerance the cause and it s supporters continue to face. Macklemore also explained that the song
came out of his own frustration with surrounding hip hop culture towards homosexuality. Since many
artists these days uses offensive words such as fag and faggot as a way to use against people they

Sbarro Essay
As consultants for Golden Eagle Inc., we have been given a mission to identify the marketing issues of
Sbarro, a private chain of pizzeria that specializes in their well known product of New York style pizza
slices and other Italian American cuisine meals. We chose Sbarro as our project because people
appreciate and love pizza. Nevertheless, we noticed that this brand is dying not only in our research on
the California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) campus but also at another Sbarro location at a
mall. As a result, according to our research, we believe that Sbarro is dying within the west coast,
specifically the Los Angeles area. We say this because Sbarro was first founded in the east coast of
Brooklyn, New York by these two Italian couple that immigrated to America from Naples, Italy. In
any case, we identified the marketing issues of Sbarro through the marketing mix that consists of
price, place, product, and promotion. Our mission is to reinvent the Sbarro brand, which will
potentially regain customer loyalty and bring annual profits back to the restaurant. It is ... Show more

product was a bit overpriced. Compared to their competitor Blaze Pizza, Sbarro is doing very well on
pricing. The Blaze Pizza customer, on average is spending $5 $10 per visit (business insider).
Analyzing appendix D and E we can conclude that most of their customers have a low income and can
t afford to spend more than $9 at most. The prices for combos and different combinations vary,
making it difficult for the customer to decide what they want to buy. If one combination increases the

Cotton Gin Research Paper
THE COTTON GIN A cotton gin is a machine that quickly and easily separates the cotton fibers from
the seeds, a job formerly performed by hand. The fibers are processed into cotton goods, and the seeds
may be used to grow more cotton, to produce cottonseed oil, or, if they are badly damaged, are
disposed of. The gin uses a combination of a wire screen and small wire hooks to pull the cotton
through, while brushes continuously remove the loose cotton lint to prevent jams. The modern version
of the cotton gin was created by the American inventor Eli Whitney in 1793 to mechanize the cleaning
of cotton. The invention was granted a patent on March 14, 1794. There is slight controversy over
whether the idea of the cotton gin and its constituent elements ... Show more content on

Watt s engine used 75% less coal than Newcomen s, and was much cheaper to run. Watt proceeded to
develop his engine further, modifying it to provide a rotary motion suitable for driving factory
machinery. This enabled factories to be sited away from rivers, and further accelerated the pace of the
Industrial Revolution. Newcomen s and Watt s early engines were atmospheric , meaning that they
were powered by the vacuum generated by condensing steam instead of the pressure of expanding
steam. Cylinders had to be large, as the only usable force acting on them was atmospheric pressure.
Steam was only used to compensate for the atmosphere allowing the piston to move back to its
starting position. Around 1800, Richard Trevithick introduced engines using high pressure steam.
These were much more powerful than previous engines and could be made small enough for transport
applications. Thereafter, technological developments and improvements in manufacturing techniques
(partly brought about by the adoption of the steam engine as a power source) resulted in the design of
more efficient engines that could be smaller, faster, or more powerful, depending on the intended

African Elephants ( Loxadonta Africana ) And Amur Tigers
African elephants (Loxadonta africana) and amur tigers (Panthera tigris altaica), despite being classed
as mammals they show a great diversity, one is a carnivore and one is a herbivore. Whether in the wild
or held in captivity, African elephants and tigers (like all animals) are susceptible to certain diseases,
these diseases can either be bacterial, viral, fungal or parasitic. Having the knowledge when an animal
is in good and poor health is vital. To ensure an animal is in good health the animal needs to be in
good body condition, good appetite and is relaxed. If an elephant approaches you with almost half
closed, lazy eyes and its tail is slowly swishing from side to side, it is a good sign that it is relaxed
(Londolozi, 2016). For a tiger, it will squint or close its eyes; this is because loosing vision lowers
defence. The animals eyes are to be clear and bright, skin is to be soft and resilient, healthy soles and
claws. However, when animals suffer from poor health, some common clinical signs to look for are,
loss of appetite and weight loss. Depending on the disease, as you get closer to the animal you will
notice its eyes are very dull and the mucous membranes may have changed colour. If in pain it will be
restless and it might even be groaning. Depending on the disease, the animal will scour or be
constipated and the passing of urine might also cease (ACS Distance Education, 2016).

Mass Hysteria In The Tucible And The Crucible
Have you ever been accused of something you didn t do? Well, in The Crucible, a lot of people were
accused of something that they didn t do. Then it becomes a game that everyone blames one another
for their own selfish needs. In the story, things got complicated and when everyone noticed, it was too
late. A lot of people died and no one could stop it anymore. Even after everyone noticed, they couldn t
do anything against the judges. The Crucible is an good example of mass hysteria along with the
events in The Halifax Slasher. They both show similar events but are different because of their setting
in history. In the events of The Halifax Slasher, there was a mysterious killer roaming the streets of
Halifax, England. A few girls were attacked but they all survived and reported it to the police. There
was a case held to find out who was the attacker but another person was attacked and the news spread
around fast since it was a small town. Eventually, there was men out on the street to try to stop the
Halifax Slasher because there was a reward for finding the attacker. The men on the street would beat
anyone that looked out of place because they would assume that the person would be the attacker.
Which made it more dangerous to be on the streets at night. But the Halifax police needed help, so
they called in the Scotland Yard. Then one of the couriers of the Halifax Couriers said Halifax has
certainly never had such a manhunt in its history and the hunt generally is probably

Civil War And Reconstruction Era
Cause of Exoduster Migration to the West
In the late nineteenth century, as the civil war and reconstruction era drew to an end, newly freed
African Americans were still faced with many problems. Slavery had taken up most if their lives and
now that they were free with no jobs. Most resorted in being farmers to former slave owners to make a
living. The whites, however, who did not agree with African Americans being free created black
codes. These were designed to force freed blacks to work on plantations. These codes also denied
blacks the right to purchase or even rent land. The Freedmen s Bureau was issued in an effort to bring
freed people to full citizenship. This would help with getting the African Americans jobs, houses,
education, land, and anything necessary to start their new lives. By 1879, Benjamin Pap Singleton, a
former slave from Tennessee, became known as the leader of the Exoduster Movement. Benjamin
Singleton urged blacks to leave the south to move westward. Kansas, at the time being a free state
became appealing to Singleton and he put advertisements up to show blacks what opportunities
awaited them in the west. Those who agreed with him and who moved west to Kansas called
themselves Exodusters. Some believed that this was their promise land. A small town by the name of
Nicodemus, Graham County, Kansas, was home to 75 Americans by the year 1876. When the Exodus
movement brought African Americans westward, the small town became known as the center

Rhetorical Analysis Of Red Rock Canyon
In the city of Las Vegas, people go through the daily trails and tribulations that the city has to offer.
People constantly on the go, worried about the collection of money, pollution filling our lungs and
tackled with the constant worries of reality. Being in the city, it seems as there is no escape from the
madness that is being offered. Surrounded by the man made building and artificial light that
illuminates the struggle of these streets. Although, there is a place that offers freedom about fifteen
minutes away from the cities madness. A place where the air is fresh, a place where gargantuan rocks
act as buildings, a place where the sun, moon and stars are the source of light and a place that provides
freedom from the worries of the city. This center of nature providing freedom from the busy city life is
Red Rock Canyon. Red Rock Canyon as a space has a rhetorical significance as a location of freedom
from city life with the multitude of space it provides. Red Rock Canyon serves as an example of space
and place in rhetoric and also creates ties to visual rhetoric with the unique scenery and imagery being
offered. In addition aspects of memory such as cultural memory and public memory can be connected
to Red Rock. To begin this analysis of Red Rock Canyon, is the notion of Red Rock Canyon being a
place defined by its theory of rhetoric. According to Danielle Enders and Samantha Senda Cook in
their article Rhetoric Matters: The Rhetoric of Place in Protest , Place refers to particular locations
(e.g., a city, a particular shopping mall, or a park) that are semi bounded, a combination of material
and symbolic qualities, and embodied. For example a city is semi bounded by city limits (semi
bounded because these limits can be a matter of debate, change over time, or be re drawn within a
single year), includes material structures like buildings and roads, has symbolic meanings such as
being perceived as a college town or an urban metropolis, and is experienced on a daily basis by the
people who live, work, or visit it ( Enders, Cook Pg.259, 2011). Red Rock Canyon itself is a particular
location that is semi bounded by rules and regulation that are set within

Importance Of Voting A Right To Vote
A blazing sun beats down on a desolate parking lot. A man with a clipboard desperately searches for
signatures, begging for his rights to be returned. This man is a felon, and his right to vote has been
taken away. Approximately 5.85 million Americans can t vote due to a felony charge (Newsy).
Although it can be argued that felons have lost their privilege to vote, felon disenfranchisement has
affected and still affects a disproportionate amount of people of color, takes out a huge voter block,
and inhibits the rehabilitation process. Therefore, community members should sign petitions or
contact senators to help felons regain their rights.
Some sources believe felons should not be given the right to vote after having committed a felony,
because voting is a privilege. Once people commit a felony, they lose this privilege. They also believe
that since felons have committed a crime, they do not have the ability to make judgements in
elections. If they made the judgement to commit a crime, they do not have the right mindset to make a
judgement in an election.
These sources believe that voting is a privilege, but voting is a right guaranteed to the American
people. Felons, despite their past crimes, are still American citizens and they don t deserve to have
their right taken away. Furthermore, the idea that felons are incapable of making judgements in
politics because of their crimes is absurd. The whole point of their imprisonment is to rehabilitate
them into society and put

The Nature Of The Employment
Nature of the Employment
By nature employment is classified into part time and full time. The study of the nature of
employment helps in assessing the magnitude of workforce fully reliant on earning from the IMS.
This is discussed with Table 1 given below. More than 80% of workers are found to be engaged as full
time workers (FTW) at the national level. However a trend of sinking part of FTW is observed with a
increasing share of the part time workers (PTW). Dominance of male employment over the female
employment is observed both for the category of PTW as well as the FTW. Gender wise distribution
of employment shows that the share of both the full time male workers (FTMW) and full time female
workers (FTFW) have decreased in 1994 95 and then continuously increased in 2005 06. Part time
male workers (PTMW) shows declining share over the entire period, whereas the part time female
workers (PTFW) shows an increasing share during the same period. A discussion on the growth of
employment by nature and gender revealed the fact that growth rate of the FTW as well as PTW was
higher during early reform period as compared to the later reform period, at the national level. The
FTW suffered a negative growth during the later period, which causes the overall growth of the FTW
to be lower. The growth of the PTW at all India level is higher. The category of PTW, PTFW is
growing at a slower rate, but is higher than the growth rate of PTMW at the

Does Writing Down Notes On Paper More Effective Than...
Does writing down notes on paper more effective than typing it?
Cerebrum: The cerebrum is the main part of the brain, which has two halves, or hemispheres. The
right hemisphere controls the left side of the body and deals with things such as creativity, music, and
art. While the left hemisphere of the cerebrum controls the right side of the body and is in charge of
language, problem solving, and math. The cerebrum s many tasks are carried out by its outer layer, or
its cortex. This has distinct areas that have different roles. Motor areas trigger movement; sensory
areas deal with the senses, while association areas clarify information.
Cerebellum: The cerebellum is responsible for producing smooth, coordinated movements of the body.
It analyzes incoming information about the body s current movement and position then interacts with
the primary motor cortex to precisely time muscle contractions.
Why does writing something down help us remember it better?
Our brain is separated into several regions that undergo different kind of information. Then there are
regions that process information such as visual, verbal communication, auditory, emotions, etc. These
different regions communicate with each other and each one of them has its own processes it has to
complete first. For example one looks at a piece of art and express their emotions with language, thus
working the verbal function part of the brain.

figure named Thomas Edison tried multiple times to invent the light bulb, but was unsuccessful.
Because of his determination, he did not allow that to make him give up, yet he allowed those failed
attempts to encourage him to go above and beyond, and eventually he invented the first light bulb and
made history. This example was to enlighten not to allow one failed attempt to become a
discouragement, but yet an encouragement to do better. Like Edison once stated, Our greatest
weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.
An author uses themes to apply life lessons for the readers. Hemingway, the author of The Old Man
and the Sea uses determination as the major theme of the book. Determination means never giving up
on anything. By applying determination to our life, just simply never allow anyone to stand in your
way of success. The true meaning of determination and how we should impact it in our daily lifestyle
was the message Hemingway was trying to indicate to the

The Siege Of Jerusalem By Ezekiel
Ludicrous. Torturous. Appalling. The unthinkable prophetic acts that God commanded for Ezekiel to
perform throughout his ministry were meant to be sensational scenes that demonstrated what was to
come for the Israelites. Ezekiel, illustrating the siege of Jerusalem was one of the first prophetic acts
God required Ezekiel to complete. God commanded Ezekiel to create a miniature version of an
invading army camped around Jerusalem and then place an iron plate between himself and Jerusalem.
Ezekiel, while lying on the left side of his body for three hundred ninety days, represented the number
of years that Israel was punished, and then lying on his right side for forty days, represented the
number of years that Judah was punished. Ezekiel had to portion out water and grain cake, which he
was supposed to cook on human manure to demonstrate the unclean bread that Israel would soon eat,
but Ezekiel refused as cooking on human manure disobeyed God s dietary laws. Therefore, God
compromised with Ezekiel and allowed him to prepare the food on animal manure instead. Ezekiel,
portraying the siege of Jerusalem was just the beginning of what God required Ezekiel to do in order
to illustrate the suffering that the Israelites were about to experience due to their unfaithfulness. Not
only did God use Ezekiel to perform extraordinary prophetic acts in order to get His message across to
the Israelites, but God also allowed for Ezekiel to have visions that reached beyond history and

Improving Information Literacy
Information literacy is knowing when and why you need information, where to find it, and how to
evaluate, use and communicate it in an ethical manner. Information literacy means to be able to search
online and to be patient and persistent researchers and to be able to retrieve information in a variety of
formats, identify patterns within an array of sources, and dive deeply into source material. The skills
that are required to be information literate call for an understanding of a need for information, the
resources available, how to find information, the need to evaluate results, how to work with or exploit
results, ethics and responsibility of use, how to communicate or share your findings, and how to

Improving your information skills will help you in ongoing pursuit of knowledge because knowledge
in action means being able to sort through that growing thicket of information. This is a lifelong
learning skill, crucial to health, wealth, social equality, and well being. In an era of partisan fog and
the polarization of many subjects, it is a skill vital for effective citizenship. Improving your
information skills helps you in your career ambitions because if you understand what it means to be
information literate, then you then began to understand how to use it, this goes well beyond search
engines. This is not to say that everyone must develop the hybrid expertise of an investigative
journalist, high level consultant, or front line infectious disease analyst. But that blend of speed,
smarts, and problem solving will prove essential in the 21st century workplace for effective and
informed decision making, creative solutions to problems in both science and public policy, and
breakthrough discoveries and innovations. Understanding how to find and research information and
how to combine it into your course work or any other areas of life would be much easier if you tried to

Alchemy Accomplishments
Alchemy was a turning point in the field of science during the Middle Ages, and paved the way for
many of the greatest scientists in history, including Albert Einstein. Contrary to popular belief,
alchemy is not just about science, but also about humans spiritually and mentally. Alchemy may have
been lost over the course of many centuries, but it is still very much alive in our society today, through
our relationships with other people and within ourselves. Robert of Chester s translations of Arabic
alchemical books allowed for the spread of alchemy throughout Europe beginning in 1200. Europe s
own alchemists were created during this time, such as Roger Bacon. He spread the formulas to create
gunpowder and powerful tinctures and elixirs. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In mental alchemy, the goal was to perfect one s own personality and character. This greatly contrasts
from spiritual alchemy, which works to cultivate and perfect one s soul. Mental alchemy had lots of
parallels with physical alchemy. Take the Four elements, for example. In people, they can represent
positive virtues and characteristics, but can also symbolize negative traits. Fire can represent courage
and enthusiasm, but also anger and jealousy. Water can represent love and creativity, and instability.
Earth can represent patience and strength, but also laziness and boredom. Lastly, Air can represent
diligence and optimism, but also frivolity and boasting. These Four Elements were common to all
people. Spiritual alchemy was completely different from Mental alchemy. Alchemical meditation is an
example of some of the practices within Spiritual alchemy. In alchemical meditation, there are three
goals which alchemists aim to achieve; Lunar, Solar, and Stellar. Lunar meditations work on the
physical level, Solar works on the psychological and mental level, and Stellar works on the divine and
cosmic level. Once all meditations have been completed, the mind and body are in a complete
harmony and A higher presence ... fills the void created by this death of our worldly connections.

Argumentative Essay On Winston Churchill
He is thought to be one of the most controversial personalities of world s history. Often referred to as
the British Bulldog , he has been voted as the greatest Briton of all times . Some people concern him
as defender of democracy and an incredible orator, while others criticize him strongly for his actions
during his being in power. We obviously refer to Winston Churchill, a man who left a complicated
legacy behind him and whose personality and choices influenced and still do not only British politics,
but the whole world s ones.
To begin with, Churchill was politically active from an early age. Twice named Prime Minister of the
United Kingdom, he is best known for his participation and his crucial role during World War II. With
his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By many he is concerned as an imperialist, a belligerent leader. He planned to conquest more
countries and expend the British Empire, because he insisted that the Aryan stock is bound to triumph
. Therefore, it is very likely that his participation in the war was the part of a wider plan and a deeper
motive. He did not just aim to defend his country from a rival. He fought for a raw white supremacism
, as expressed by Richard Toye in his book Churchill s Empire (2010).
It is true that the British leader believed in the superiority of the white race, which explains why his
policies reflect racism as well as fascism. A pretty good example that justifies this opinion is his
attitude towards the starving Indians in 1943. The famine in Bengal broke out because of his decision
to divert food supplies from India to the front lines in Europe during the war and, as a result, millions
of Indians starved to death. Nevertheless, Churchill was indifferent and insisted that it was their own
fault for breeding like

Essay on Making a Tissue Box Cover
Adding decorative elements to a home can be done in many ways. One interesting option is to create a
cover for any dull looking tissue box in a living room, kitchen, or other room. The cover for a standard
tissue box can be made from many types of materials. One option is to use construction paper or fabric
which needs to be sewn. However, the cover will need to fold up on each side of the box which is then
fastened at the top. Review a few steps to make a simple tissue box cover.
Fabric Tissue Box Cover
Multiply the height of the tissue box by the width after adding one quarter inch for the seams. Measure
the top of your box and obtain the width and the height. Add one quarter inch to each measurement
and then multiple them together. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Add one quarter inch to each measurement. The top also needs to be measured for the width and
length.
Transfer the measurements for the tissue box to sheets of pieces of one quarter inch foam board. Use a
a ruler and utility knife to cut each piece. Trim one eighth of an inch from two side pieces. Cut an oval
shape out of the top section for the tissue.
Apply tacky glue to each edge of the side pieces and glue them together to form a square. The glue
will likely be dry in a couple of minutes. Apply tacky glue around the top and press the top piece in
place.
Determine the color for your tissue box cover and purchase the necessary construction paper. You
have the option for black paper or another color for the base if accessories are being added.
Measure each side of the tissue box to obtain the width and height. Transfer the measurements over
the the paper and cut out five sheets. Attach double sided tape to the back of each black sheet. Place
all the sheets on the sides of the tissue box. The next step is to measure the width and length of the top
of your tissue box. Cut a piece of construction paper and tape it to the top of the tissue box. A pair of
scissors is needed to cut the hole for the tissue.
Decorate the sides of the tissue box by using different piece of colored construction paper. Trace out
an object or different shapes and cut then out with the scissors. Apply small pieces of tape or craft glue

Hijacked by Pinterest
Really? Not again. I ve been hijacked. I ve just spent three hours on Pinterest searching for a new
recipe for dinner. I don t know if I should be ashamed or excited. I did find a pretty amazing recipe for
roasted red pepper Alfredo though. However, I did just lose three hours of my time. I could of finished
various tasks in those three hours. I ll be the first one to admit it: smart technology is making me
dumb. People like me rely on smart technology for too many things: phone books, directions, new
information, etc. Soon people will depend on it for everything. I believe smart technology will hijack
our lives.
Many daily chores are completed by the use of smart technology. For example, smart technology can
be used for: setting an alarm clock, making phone calls, balancing a bank account, paying bills,
checking e mails, doing homework, getting directions, etc. Many people take advantage of this. They
may use their laptop, iPad, cellphone up to ten times a day to complete these tasks. I ll admit it, I have
a favorite app myself. Pinterest! I ll lose hours on end getting lost in the app. However, smart
technology does have better uses. Henry Ford community college student, Shandra Dicks, found a
useful way to use smart technology. Dicks, loves to spend her spare time running. She also likes to
keep track of her progress from day to day. Dicks, started using the Nike Sensor; a micro chip she
places in her shoe. This is a wonder chip! It helps Dicks keep track of her running

The Great Depression had caused much suffering for people and there is also the Dust Bowl which happened during the depression due to soil erosion caused by abandoned farms and the soil which was left to erode and become dust in the wind (Sealey Morris 2). During the Great Depression people known as Okies, that came from the Dust Bowl affected areas, are moving towards west just to get out the Dust Bowl, and just like the Joads in the Grapes of Wrath , they settle in places called Hooverville camps (Hinton 2). The situation of the people during this time period was very horrendous, some starve to death, and some may just have high hopes of seeing another day. Okies are people who work together to survive during the Great Depression, they are a united community (Sobel 2). The community of Okies sometimes may be connected through blood, but most are not. People in the community may sometimes be in unions (Sobel 2). The hostile environment did not stop people from having hopes of seeing another beautiful day with their family (Brown 50). • 3. Psychology and the Media Essay The Image of Psychology through the Eyes of the Media Abstract Psychology can be presented by the media in forms such as magazine or newspaper articles, and the most popular today is through commercials watched on TV. Psychology is presented in a form of science today compared to what it was viewed as in the late 1800s and onto the 1900s. It is more of a science nature because viewers have to think about the meaning of the article or commercial to understand the message that is being presented. Then, psychology was viewed as a form or common sense. Psychology was never really looked at as a science but rather as philosophy in the 1980s. The public was often confused with the subject of psychology because it was always ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the 1980s the federal government doubted psychology as a science and a profession... The government stated that it was a way of promoting human welfare (Ludy, 1986, p. 941). But, rather than psychology being looked at as philosophy, two students wanted to switch the views of psychology to being more scientifically related. James MKeen Cattell and Harry Kirke Wolfe were the first two Americans to receive their degrees with the help of Wihem Wundt (Ludy, 1986, p. 941). The two students thought deeply of their work and strongly believed that psychology would be the next big science in the media within the next thirty years. The media presents hidden messages that the common person many not always see, but the brain processes the information and triggers a reaction based on the viewers own thoughts. After watching many commercials on TV, social and cognitive psychology both come into play. Social psychology is when a person can select from his or her memory on a past situation that he or she has read or watched and can then reacts accordingly. After viewing many commercials some of the commercials tend to clash together by presenting the same message. When the viewer remembers seeing or hearing something specific from a commercial, the brain automatically reacts by thinking, I ve heard about this before. Cognitive psychology is when the viewers are watching a commercial that may come off violent and then the viewers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Examples Of Polite Language In The Giver Just for a second, imagine a world without war, conflict or grief. Refreshing, right? But it s also a world without memory, feelings and color, at least in the premise of Lois Lowry s, The Giver. It was published by HarperCollins in 1993, it shares the same motive of a perfect and utopian society. What is a perfect society? Is it where people have to be uniform to each other? What is the point having such a life where you cannot make your own choices?, you cannot have feelings or unable to live with your own biological parents. • 5. Daniel Voshart Frame 394 Essay When the Canadian Daniel Voshart saw the shaky cell phone video of a white police officer in South Carolina, shooting a black man in the back eight times, he couldn t look away. Waves of disgust washed over him as Walter Scott fell to the ground. This was his motive for analyzing every frame in the video, and then he stumbled across Frame 394. This frame changed the entire case, because it showed that the police officer was innocent. The documentary, Frame 394, followed Daniel Voshart and his journey of him getting entangled in one of America s most high profile police shootings. The documentary, Frame 394, shows that people often judge without knowing all the details. This is, after all, what Voshart, the people who watched the video and the audience had done. First of all, in the documentary even Daniel Voshart judged without knowing the details. At first Voshart thought the police officer was guilty and was enraged by what he did. He even stabilized the cell phone video and posted it on Reddit, but after a few weeks, he changed his opinion. Because when Daniel Voshart investigated the video and had found new evidence against his initial judgement, he realized that he judged too fast and had to change his judgement. Daniel later posted a video of his new evidence on Reddit, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The theory of Late Development holds that latecomer nations adopt a different pathway to development distinct from early industrialised nations. Indeed the state can act as a substitute to both demand conditions and factor conditions. Japan is a case in point. The government and the bank of Japan Instituted a convoy system where banks were encouraged to finance large scale capital intensive industries. Many creatures are becoming threatened, and some have already become extinct. Threatened marsupials could be a pool of agricultural, medicinal, or genetic wealth that we do not yet have the technology to utilize. There are many methods to conserving these genetic pools; one of which is through reproduction manipulation. However, I am not one of these people as I am not fond of this book. Opinion: The Alchemist uses elements of magical fantasy that aren t familiar to me, thrilling and action packed events are not present, and I do not agree with some of the lessons that the book portrays. Components of magical fantasy are used in the novel that I don t understand. Omens, Universal Languages, and mysterious forces aren t principles that I consider in my daily life and therefore they aren t familiar to me. For example, Santiago uses Omens as signs that guide him throughout life. Omens are not a concept that I have learned about until reading this novel. These signals do not make much sense to me, seeming much too coincidental to be real. Santiago also connects things in his life through Universal Languages, such as the desert and the caravan. However, a language that is universal or a language between inanimate things doesn t exist in real life, making it hard for a reader to imagine such a thing. Finally, in the novel, there are mysterious forces that teach people of their personal legends, such as the King was to Santiago. It does make sense for people to realize their dreams and goals through experiences or people. This isn t the case always in the novel, instead, specific forces inform people of their ... Final product accuracy check and release at NLAG is undertaken by the Authorised Pharmacist (usually band 7 or above). The Authorised Pharmacist also undertakes the clinical checks/screening of the prescriptions. It has been discussed that undertaking these checks by different pharmacists will add an extra safety check in the process and there is a plan for separation of these roles in the near future. The plan is to have a Clinical Pharmacist undertaking the clinical checks in the clinical area and an Authorised Pharmacist in the Aseptic Unit undertaking the product check and approval (release). Another proposal has been suggested following this analysis. There are some concerns regarding separation of the roles as the staff who may be involved in approving products (band 6 pharmacists) have a lack of knowledge and skills in aseptics. There is also a need for cost effective working and flexibility within the service, including appropriate skill mix. This all emphasises a requirement for this critical analysis to ensure that a robust product check and release is undertaken. • 13. Hip Hop Is A Genre Of Music Music has always been one of the ways that people use to express the connection between their feelings and the outside world with melody, rhythm and sound. There are different genres and many kinds of music from different places and different nationality. Hip hop is a cultural movement that emerged in the 1970s in the United States among Latin Americans, Jamaicans and African American that aimed to protest the social conflicts and violence suffered by the lower classes of urban society. Hip Hop is a genre of music that has significantly grown the last couple of decades. Since the music hip pop stems from the historical conditions by different nations, hip hop became a symbol for both characteristics and self importance among many nations that it has been facilitating the evolution of music, and it has also been one of the motivations for new musical genres. The hip hop music emerged in the mid 1970s in black and Latino New York suburbs. These suburbs, real ghettos, faced many social problems such as poverty, violence, racism, drug trafficking, lack of infrastructure and education, among others. It would appear that this unchecked partnership is the gateway for many risky clothing purchases, but Chinese boutiques have also followed a trend set by larger retailers to use bloggers instead of models to sell clothing. Beauty and fashion bloggers tend to review these retailers extremely favorably, usually after partnering with the retailers through so called blogger programs to receive free clothes in exchange for positive reviews and a flattering camera angle while they model their latest clothing haul (Porter). His expressions were as beautiful and as inhuman as a butterfly. There was hardly any actor who used the method of expressionism with such high accuracy. He took this skill to a whole new level. Most of his career progressed without any interruption. This clearly shows the passion and dedication Keaton had for films. He was famous for his physical comedy. He was willing to sacrifice his own safety for the sake of the film. The wide range of emotions he used was simply outstanding and stunning. No one could take anything away from Keaton. He thought, produced and wrote his own gags. He was also interested in depicting influencing incidents like he did in The General. Newcomen s and Watt s early engines were atmospheric , meaning that they were powered by the vacuum generated by condensing steam instead of the pressure of expanding steam. Cylinders had to be large, as the only usable force acting on them was atmospheric pressure. Steam was only used to compensate for the atmosphere allowing the piston to move back to its starting position. Around 1800, Richard Trevithick introduced engines using high pressure steam. These were much more powerful than previous engines and could be made small enough for transport applications. Whether in the wild or held in captivity, African elephants and tigers (like all animals) are susceptible to certain diseases, these diseases can either be bacterial, viral, fungal or parasitic. If an elephant approaches you with almost half closed, lazy eyes and its tail is slowly swishing from side to side, it is a good sign that it is relaxed (Londolozi, 2016). For a tiger, it will squint or close its eyes; this is because loosing vision lowers defence. The animals eyes are to be clear and bright, skin is to be soft and resilient, healthy soles and claws. People constantly on the go, worried about the collection of money, pollution filling our lungs and tackled with the constant worries of reality. Being in the city, it seems as there is no escape from the madness that is being offered. Surrounded by the man made building and artificial light that illuminates the struggle of these streets. Although, there is a place that offers freedom about fifteen minutes away from the cities madness. A place where the air is fresh, a place where gargantuan rocks act as buildings, a place where the sun, moon and stars are the source of light and a place that provides freedom from the worries of the city. This center of nature providing freedom from the busy city life is Red Rock Canyon. Red Rock Canyon as a space has a rhetorical significance as a location of freedom from city life with the multitude of space it provides. Red Rock Canyon serves as an example of space and place in rhetoric and also creates ties to visual rhetoric with the unique scenery and imagery being offered. In addition aspects of memory such as cultural memory and public memory can be connected to Red Rock. To begin this analysis of Red Rock Canyon, is the notion of Red Rock Canyon being a place defined by its theory of rhetoric. According to Danielle Enders and Samantha Senda Cook in their article Rhetoric Matters: The Rhetoric of Place in Protest , Place refers to particular locations (e.g., a city, a particular shopping mall, or a park) that are semi bounded, a combination of material and symbolic qualities, and embodied. For example a city is semi bounded by city limits (semi bounded because these limits can be a matter of debate, change over time, or be re drawn within a single year), includes material structures like buildings and roads, has symbolic meanings such as being perceived as a college town or an urban metropolis, and is experienced on a daily basis by the people who live, work, or visit it ( Enders, Cook Pg.259, 2011). • 35. Importance Of Voting A Right To Vote A blazing sun beats down on a desolate parking lot. A man with a clipboard desperately searches for signatures, begging for his rights to be returned. This man is a felon, and his right to vote has been taken away. Approximately 5.85 million Americans can t vote due to a felony charge (Newsy). Although it can be argued that felons have lost their privilege to vote, felon disenfranchisement has affected and still affects a disproportionate amount of people of color, takes out a huge voter block, and inhibits the rehabilitation process. Therefore, community members should sign petitions or contact senators to help felons regain their rights. Some sources believe felons should not be given the right to vote after having committed a felony, because voting is a privilege. Once people commit a felony, they lose this privilege. They also believe that since felons have committed a crime, they do not have the ability to make judgements in elections. If they made the judgement to commit a crime, they do not have the right mindset to make a judgement in an election. These sources believe that voting is a privilege, but voting is a right guaranteed to the American people. Felons, despite their past crimes, are still American citizens and they don t deserve to have their right taken away. Furthermore, the idea that felons are incapable of making judgements in politics because of their crimes is absurd. The whole point of their imprisonment is to rehabilitate them into society and put ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. The Nature Of The Employment Nature of the Employment By nature employment is classified into part time and full time. The study of the nature of employment helps in assessing the magnitude of workforce fully reliant on earning from the IMS. This is discussed with Table 1 given below. More than 80% of workers are found to be engaged as full time workers (FTW) at the national level. However a trend of sinking part of FTW is observed with a increasing share of the part time workers (PTW). Dominance of male employment over the female employment is observed both for the category of PTW as well as the FTW. Gender wise distribution of employment shows that the share of both the full time male workers (FTMW) and full time female workers (FTFW) have decreased in 1994 95 and then continuously increased in 2005 06. Part time male workers (PTMW) shows declining share over the entire period, whereas the part time female workers (PTFW) shows an increasing share during the same period. A discussion on the growth of employment by nature and gender revealed the fact that growth rate of the FTW as well as PTW was higher during early reform period as compared to the later reform period, at the national level. The FTW suffered a negative growth during the later period, which causes the overall growth of the FTW to be lower. The growth of the PTW at all India level is higher. The category of PTW, PTFW is growing at a slower rate, but is higher than the growth rate of PTMW at the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Does Writing Down Notes On Paper More Effective Than... Does writing down notes on paper more effective than typing it? Cerebrum: The cerebrum is the main part of the brain, which has two halves, or hemispheres. The right hemisphere controls the left side of the body and deals with things such as creativity, music, and art. While the left hemisphere of the cerebrum controls the right side of the body and is in charge of language, problem solving, and math. The cerebrum s many tasks are carried out by its outer layer, or its cortex. This has distinct areas that have different roles. Motor areas trigger movement; sensory areas deal with the senses, while association areas clarify information. Cerebellum: The cerebellum is responsible for producing smooth, coordinated movements of the body. It analyzes incoming information about the body s current movement and position then interacts with the primary motor cortex to precisely time muscle contractions. Why does writing something down help us remember it better? Our brain is separated into several regions that undergo different kind of information. Then there are regions that process information such as visual, verbal communication, auditory, emotions, etc. These different regions communicate with each other and each one of them has its own processes it has to complete first. For example one looks at a piece of art and express their emotions with language, thus working the verbal function part of the brain. • 40. The Siege Of Jerusalem By Ezekiel Ludicrous. Torturous. Appalling. The unthinkable prophetic acts that God commanded for Ezekiel to perform throughout his ministry were meant to be sensational scenes that demonstrated what was to come for the Israelites. Ezekiel, illustrating the siege of Jerusalem was one of the first prophetic acts God required Ezekiel to complete. God commanded Ezekiel to create a miniature version of an invading army camped around Jerusalem and then place an iron plate between himself and Jerusalem. Ezekiel, while lying on the left side of his body for three hundred ninety days, represented the number of years that Israel was punished, and then lying on his right side for forty days, represented the number of years that Judah was punished. Ezekiel had to portion out water and grain cake, which he was supposed to cook on human manure to demonstrate the unclean bread that Israel would soon eat, but Ezekiel refused as cooking on human manure disobeyed God s dietary laws. Therefore, God compromised with Ezekiel and allowed him to prepare the food on animal manure instead. Ezekiel, portraying the siege of Jerusalem was just the beginning of what God required Ezekiel to do in order to illustrate the suffering that the Israelites were about to experience due to their unfaithfulness. Not only did God use Ezekiel to perform extraordinary prophetic acts in order to get His message across to the Israelites, but God also allowed for Ezekiel to have visions that reached beyond history and ... He fought for a raw white supremacism , as expressed by Richard Toye in his book Churchill s Empire (2010). It is true that the British leader believed in the superiority of the white race, which explains why his policies reflect racism as well as fascism. A pretty good example that justifies this opinion is his attitude towards the starving Indians in 1943.
