Narrative
The setting is clearly in a city. This is because there are clear ambient sounds
of city traffic and police sirens. The sirens also hint to the game being a crime
game. The game also sounds like it is going to be related to gang violence by
the use of the words ‘homie’ and the n-word. 0:48.
The mood is to be intimidating. This is because of how one of the characters
is very aggressive at points of the cut scene.
The game genre is clearly a violent genre. This is because of how one
character is extremely aggressive and there is a talk about how a character
has been ‘pinched’ by Chinese gangsters. Finally, one of the characters
attacks a completely random stranger unprovoked, (3:30). Also, in the
background ambient sound you can constantly hear police sirens.
Ambient sounds and narration are used throughout the cut scene. The setting
is defined through ambient sounds and narration. The mood is defined
through narration. The game genre is defined through narration and ambient
sounds.
