Mise- en scene - you can't really see a lot of setting, just a lot of iconography and items which epitomise the genre conventions; its clearly inside somewhere, either a house or somewhere, the audience is left to decide, a deliberate element of mystery to encapsulate the audience and engage them. the killer, or person in the sequence is seen to be planning something, so we assume they are inside, writing and cutting etc. The trailer unravels the story in a very clever way, by subtly dropping hints of the seven deadly sins that appear in the movie.
